Spawn: Armageddon FAQ/Walkthrough v.1.6 Completed 1/08/04 By: DemonOfSet -=|>Update Notes<|=- Changes from 1.0 to 1.5: -Fixed some grammar and spelling errors -Added a new feature: Under the walkthrough on a couple of the levels you will now see an "Extra Strategy:" line. This gives some better strategy on dealing with the levels on the Normal and Hard difficulties. -Added metadrone to the bestiary as well as adding some notes on obtaining techpoints and a few more strategies under certain creatures. Also changed the way I had the Bestiary layed out so it will look better when published. -Added the Comic book #'s you obtain on each level in the Normal and Hard difficulties and changed the layout slightly. They are now listed like this "Comic Issue #: E-1, N-34, H-67.". E=easy, N=Normal, H=Hard. Nothing very complicated. I chose this layout as it was the easiest on the eyes. -Changed a couple of things in Random Fun Stuff. This will be the only update untill the end of the month when I will add any Q's or extra features/suggestions you would like to see in this FAQ/Walkthrough. If I don't get any I will Finalize this document. Changes from 1.5 to 1.6 -Changed the layout slightly you probably wont notice the changes, just to make it look a little better when posted at www.gamefaqs.com. -Added permission for FAQ/walthrough to be hosted at http://faqs.ign.com per thier request. -=|>Table Of Contents<|=- 1. -=|>About This Guide And How To Use<|=- 2. -=|>FAQ<|=- 3. -=|>Controls<|=- 4. -=|>Hell Powers<|=- 5. -=|>The Bestiary<|=- 6. -=|>Power Ups<|=- 7. -=|>Walkthrough Table Of Contents<|=- 7a. -=|>Walkthrough<|=- 8. -=|>Cheat Codes<|=- 9. -=|>Random Fun Stuff<|=- 10. -=|>Thanks<|=- 11. -=|>Legal Mumbo Jumbo And Contact Info<|=- -=|>About This Guide And How To Use<|=- This is my first FAQ so I appologize if things dont really jive very well. You will notice I put things in special brackets in the table of contents. This is to help you jump to the various different sections of this guide. Just copy and paste the brackets and the stuff between them and go up to edit/find or hit CTRL+F to bring up the find window. Paste the stuff in the search box. Click on match whole case only and then click on find next and it should jump you down to the section your looking for. If your using a macintosh i'm not sure how these things work on your computer so if you dont know. go buy a real machine. :-P The FAQs, and controls section should be pretty self explanitory, The Bestiary contains a little information about each creature in the game and how to get tech points from each creature. The Power Ups section lists the prices of each upgrade, what each weapon upgrade gives you and then the total cost to upgrade each weapon and your health/necroplasm. The walkthrough itself is set up in a specific formula. I list the mission name, then the creatures you will be fighting in the mission followed by what weapons you may find in the particular level. After that is the main information on how to get through the mission. You will notice as you play this game that most stages are divided into sections and when you hit a load screen your in a new area therefore each paragraph represents a single area of the mission. a new paragraph is a new area etc. and after the walkthrough for the mission I list the comic covers located in the level (I also explain how to get them in the walkthrough if your having problems finding some). This walkthrough was written while I played through the game on easy but i've found that the only thing different between easy, normal, and hard difficulties is the comic cover #s are different on the other difficulties but they all seem to be in the same locations. I will be updateing this faq in a little while. after I recuperate from writing this and complete the game on normal and hard difficulties. The update will include the issue #s on each stage and perhaps some strategy changes to fighting things on the harder difficulties. The Cheat Codes section of couse will list the known cheat codes for the game. Randon Fun Facts is a list of glitches i've found in the game, some things to look for while you play and the lyrics for the Marilyn Manson song "Use Your Fist and Not Your Mouth" this also will be updated when I release the final version of this walkthrough if I notice new things to add. The Thanks section is a list of people I want to thank and the Legal Mumbo Jumbo and Contact Info is just that. The legal stuff to keep people from stealing my hardwork and how to contact me. And please feel free to contact me with any suggestions or gripes and complaints or with requests for things you may want to see in the final release of this Faq/walkthrough. Thanks. -=|>FAQ<|=- As this is the first release of this FAQ/Walkthrough these really technicaly are not frequently asked questions. Instead is just a list of questions I can possibly forsee coming so hopefuly i'll beat ya to it. If not e-mail me your questions and I will respond to your e-mails as well as add them to this faq in a later release. Q: Why write an Faq/walkthrough for this game? A: Mostly because there wasn't one and I have been meaning to write one for awhile but most games allready have a ton of faqs for them and I wanted to do something new. Q: You seem to insult this game from time to time. Why? A: I do tend to have a sarcastic type of personality at times and I like to have fun with things. This doesn't mean that I did not enjoy this game immensely. Otherwise I wouldn't have spent the time to write this. Q: Why is there alot of information in the walkthrough for some missions in this game and hardly none at all for others. A: I tried to make the walkthrough as pertinent as possible. Any missions with little information about them is most likely because it doesnt need it. Expecialy the first two missions that just pretty much walk you through them itself. Q: I can't get the cheat codes to work. are they fake? did you test them yourself? A: The cheat codes are not fake and they do work and I did in fact test them myself. Please refer to the -=|>Cheat Codes<|=- section for more information on using them. Q: Why didn't you tell people to do [this] instead of [That]? its easier this way. A: Unfortunatly this game does not realy give you a sense of North, South, East, West. So I literaly had to write alot of things as if I were takeing your hand to lead you to something. I relize this can get complicated and you may know an easier way to do it. Feel free to do it your way. being this is a Walkthrough I wrote it in hopefuly the best way to easily walk you through each section. And once again any suggestions on how to make something more clear is appreciated so feel free to e-mail me with your suggestions. Q: How do you get tech points for {Creature}? Your bestiary doesn't list how/I can't get it to work? A: With alot of creatures there really isn't a guranteed way to get tech points. Tech points seem to be based on killing creatures in a flashy way such as finishing them off with a forward swing with your axe or using a necroskill once they reach a certain point in health left. as depending wich swing of your axe hits them, how many hits you actualy contact with its sometimes very hard to get things exact enough for a certain move to give you that tech point. If you know how to get a guranteed tech point on any creature please e-mail me your technique and you will be given credit when I update the bestiary. Q: How many souls does each tech point give you? A: Once again this is not something i'm to certain of. seems it depends on each level, number of creatures. etc. As close as I can tell each tech point is worth about 4.0332 souls each. I did some mathmatics to come up with that number and may not be exact. -=|>Controls<|=- This section lists the basic controls and some advanced controls. The buttons are listed like this "(B)" in this instance this means hit the B button on your controller. Simple enough eh? Axe Attack: (B) Fire Weapon: (X) Jump: (A) Glide: Hold (A) after jump or double jump Hell Power: (Y) Target Lock: Hold (R) - With some of the heavier weapons you move with them faster if you are targeting. Grappling Chains: (L) Quick Axe Ground Smash: While Targeting hold torward target and hit (B) Hard Axe Ground Smash: Single or Double Jump and hit (B) Upwards Axe Swing: While Targeting hold away from target and hit (B) Combo Attack: Quickly Tap (B). You can also do a two hit combo with the Upward axe swing by quickly tapping (B) Fireing Semi Auto Weapons: Some weapons are semi-auto fire. simply tap (X) faster to increase the speed of wich you are fireing. Your chains are considerd a semi-auto fire weapon. Switch Target: While targeting use the right thumbstick to switch between targets. Side/Cartwheel Jump: While Targeting hold left or right on the left thumbstick and hit (A) to do a sideways/cartwheel jump. Back Flip: While Targeting hold back on the thumbstick and hit (A) Pause Game: (Start) -=|>Hell Powers<|=- This section lists your hell powers and how to use each of them and any special effects if any. To see the necroplasm cost of each spell refer to the hell powers menu in the in game pause screen. Necroplasm Ball: This shoots a green ball of necroplasm energy that explodes on contact. If you are targeting an enemy the ball will home in on your target. Necroplasm Beam: This shoots a beam of necroplasm energy that can hit through multiple enemies much like a rail gun. Necroshield: This forms a small barrier of necroplasm energy that reduces the damage you take. Hold down the (Y) button to charge up the shield and release button to activate. While the shield is up you can see hidden areas marked by a rune. The walkthrough lists where these hidden areas are. Hell Speed: This skill makes Spawn move at incredibly high speed allowing him to inflict massive amounts of damage in a short time. I have read reviews listing this as a "Bullet time" effect but it is in no way like one. It slows down the enemies while you still move at your normal speed. Demonic Fury: This summons worm like entities of necroplasm energy that swarm your targeted enemy causing large amounts of damage to your target. -=|>The Bestiary<|=- This section lists the type of creatures in the game. Gives a description of the creature and how to get tech points from the creature. A side note on techpoints: After I did the game on Normal and Hard difficulties it came to my attention that some ot the techniques to get tech points on creatures no longer worked but on the bright side it seems that using your necroplasm ball spell did and is generaly the best way to get tech points on the harder difficulties so if your not getting tech points for certain creatures, break that spell out. Angel Hunter: These are the first type of female angels you will encounter. They are charged by heaven to hunt down and kill hellspawn. These are the rookies of heavens army. They wear a large amount of blue armor and wield standard heaven issue halberds. TechPoints: Getting tech points from these like most angels is difficult. Best to try to use a quick ground smash attack or a hell power when thier life is low. Angel Warrior: The second type of female angels. They wear slightly less armor wich allows for quicker movement that is yellow in color. they have two special attacks as well. Thier first special attack they use is a prayer spell. They will get a safe distance away from you and call down a rain of fire from the heavens. they will also use thier special halberds to do a wide attack. They lower thier halberd and a long blade extends from the tip of the weapon wich they swing around them in a full circle. TechPoints: Much like angel hunters it is difficult to get tech points from them. Once again use a ground smash or hell power when they are low on life. Angel Predator: The third type of female angels. They wear the least amount of armor (no complaints here) that is red. They also use halberds and teleport themselves to use a quick physical attack and then to get away from Spawn. They also have a special attack where they lift thier halberds and then quickly bring them to the ground releasing a shockwave of energy around them. TechPoints: Just like the first two types. Try using a ground smash or hell power to finish them off. Assassin: A male angel that will use a teleportation skill to get away from Spawn and try to kill him from a distance using duel brimstone cannons. When they are low on life they will fire them in rappid fire volleys. TechPoints: Killing with necroplasm balls will sometimes give you tech points for these. Berserker: These are demons that have two blades for thier arms past thier elbow. They have a large mouth on thier chest filled with razor sharp teeth. They use thier bladed arms for a shield to block small arms fire makeing weapons virtualy useless against them: TechPoints: Use the quck ground smash when they are low on life. Brute: These are very large male angels that are extremely tough. Thier body is completely coverd in heavy armor makeing small arms fire virtualy useless. the best strategy against them is to get close and use combo attacks to slowly take away thier life. TechPoints: Unknown Bulldozer: A bulldozer possessed by a demon and mutated into an organic metal hybrid its plow has become almost mouth like with large sharp teeth. It is unvulnerable with its plow down but will lift it exposing its single eye to take a look around. Spawn can kill it when it exposes its eye. TechPoints: Unkown Claw Demon: These are spider like demons with six insect like legs three facing downwards for them to walk on and three facing upwards they use for close combat attack. Occasionaly they will climb up on walls and shoot fireballs at Spawn from a distance. TechPoints: Use an upward axe attack to knock them on thier backs or use your chains to knock them off walls and on thier backs. Cy-Gor: A large ape that has been geneticaly enhanced and given a biomechanical arm and leg by the millitary. He uses his fists to cause shockwaves along the ground and will throw large chuncks of concrete at Spawn. TechPoints: Unkown Fire Demon: These are winged demons with large hornes on thier heads. They attack by stomping on the ground sending a trail of fire out towards Spawn. If you stand too close to them they will also charge and chase after you trying to hit you with thier horns. After thie life reaches zero they desintergrate down to thier hearts wich you must destroy quickly or they will respawn with full life. TechPoints: Use a quick or heavy ground smash to destroy thier heart in one hit. Flying Imps: These are winged imps that fly around and shoot fireballs at Spawn. Just like the ground based imps they are fairly weak. TechPoints: Target thier heads and jump into the air close to them and shoot them in the face with your shotgun. Frenzied Violator: The second form of Violator you encounter. He is slightly larger and is now protected by a tough grey bone like armor. TechPoints: Unkown Imp: These are the weakest creatures you will encounter. they are small demons that attack in groups the less of them thier are in a group the more weary they are of getting into combat. TechPoints: Get up next to them, target them and then blow thier heads off with your shotgun. Hell Leech: These are disgusting little creatures that have the body of a slug and the face of a sneering baby. they vomit a greenish substance at spawn that drains his necroplasm energy. TechPoints: Use your chains to tear them apart. Lamenting Demon: These are blobs of flesh with eyes pokeing out of thier round redish base and a greyish demon torso. The torso has no arms but from thier base two greyish tenticals extend ending in eyeballs that they use to whip at spawn if he gets to close. Also if you get to close they will wail makeing a wall of necroplasm energy extend from them that will hurt Spawn if he touches it and at a distance thier wailing will cause charges of energy to explode next to Spawn. TechPoints: Destroy them with your necroplasm ball attack. Hell Eyes: Large disembodies eyes that are released by the Lamenting Demons to watch the suffering of thier enemies from a distance. TechPoints: Use your chains to kill them. Meat Puppet: These are corpses of people that were abducted by the demons when the hell holes were open. They have been crucified and thier stomachs slashed open exposing thier intestines that hang our of thier stomaches. thier corpses have sense been possessed by demons and they attack Spawn by spinning around quickly and smashing into you. TechPoints: Kill using necroplasm balls Metadrone: Small drones released by the metatron to attack Spawn when he is trying to recharge his energy. They resemble yellow tops with blades coming out of thier sides. TechPoints: Unkown The Metatron: This is the Reedemer in his final most powerful from. Made up of pure fire elemental energy he takes the form of a large scorpion at first to attack spawn with blue fireballs or a railgun like attack from his pincers. when hes hurt a bit he will put up an energy shield to recharge while he releases metadrones to attack Spawn while he attempts to recharge. After his life is lowerd a signifcant amount he will take a humanoid form and will attack with volleys of blue fire balls, duel railgun type attacks and a ground smash attack. TechPoints: Unkown Newborn: These are large imps that are much tougher than thier smaller cousins. They have no real defined features and have a smooth glass like skin. They are slower moving but do more damage with thier close combat attacks. TechPoints: Unkown Possessed Soldier: These are dead wynn soldiers that have been cut in half and crawl along the ground using thier arms with thier entrails trailing along behind them. they are slow moving and use short ranged grasping attacks. TechPoints: Use a quick or heavy ground smash to kill them. Reaver: This is the leader of the rebel male angels. He is very tall and wears heavy bluish dark grey armor that makes him invulnerable to small arms fire. He wields a large sword in his right hand and a shield in his left. TechPoints: Unkown The Redeemer: A human chosen by heaven to become the anti-spawn. Enhanced by the angels he wears blue and golden armor with a golden wing like machine on his back allowing him to fly around shooting blue fireballs down at Spawn. Made of pure fire elemental energy he can radiate flames from his body makeing the ground around him deadly to hellspawn. He can also summon a huge blue sword wich he swings to the ground to crush Spawn. TechPoints: Unkown Robot Drone: These orb like robots fly around shooting Spawn with a laser wich it can charge up for increased damage. TechPoints: Use your chains to make quick work of these things and get a techpoint. Tree Demon: These are demon possessed trees that have grown up through corpses. They are found only in the park area and are not very tough. TechPoints: Use the upward slash combo to kill them. Space Station Crew: These are angels that are formed of pure angelic energy and appear in the form of electricity surging through the circulatory system. They have halos above thier heads wich can enlarge and throw a shield down around them makeing them invulnerable to guns and chains forceing Spawn to use his axe to break through this energy shield. Once thier shield is down they will use thier halo as a boomerang to attack Spawn but they are vulnerable to weapons. TechPoints: Unkown Spider Tank: Once a prototype military weapon it has since been possessed by a demon and taken a spider like form. It has a forward facing cannon wich it will use to attack Spawn at long range and will use duel mini-guns on its back that it will use against Spawn at medium and close range. Tech Points: Use Madcap machine gun to finish it off. Violator: A greater demon and generaly considerd to be spawns nemesis. he walks around on earth in the form of a clown with a face that looks painted blue that mimics Spawns mask. When in combat though he will take his true form a lankey demon with horns growing out of the side of his head and a large horn protruding from his hunched back. A gaping mouth with rows of razor sharp teeth and his hands and feet end in deadly claws. TechPoints: Unkown. Whip Demon: A very tall female demon that wears dominatrix like clothing (oh baby!) and has large hornes protrudeing from her head. She attacks with tentacle like whips that shoot out from her hands. And will also shoot a railgun like attack to hit Spawn at a distance. If she takes too much physical damage from Spawns axe she will put up a chrysalis around her makeing her invulnerable to attacks from his axe untill he backs off. TechPoints: Unkown Wynn Soldiers: These are soldiers higherd by Jason Wynn and are at his every beck and call. They are trained in martial arts wich they will use against Spawn if he gets too close and will use machine guns to take Spawn out at range. TechPoints: Use the upward slash combo attack. -=|>Power Ups<|=- This section lists how many souls you need for each individual upgrade, what the individual upgrade gives you and I also list the total cost of upgradeing the weapons, health, and necroplasm to its max. Not alot to really explain here. just keep moving forward, can't miss a whole lot. This stage is pretty much just here to teach you how to use the controls and weapons. Pretty simple stuff. Comic Cover locations (3): 1. Right in front of you when you first start the level. Comic Issue #: E-2, N-35, H-68. 2. Take the first available right when you enter the second part of the stage. Destroy the baracade and run down the ally. Comic Issue #: E-1, N-34, H-67. 3. Take a right at the fire wall, at the end of the large ally. Another one thats pretty hard to miss. Comic Issue #: E-32, N-65, H-98. -=Mission 2: Spawn's Turf=- Enemies: Imps, Flying Imps, Fire Demons, Whip Demon Weapons: Semi-Auto Pistols This stage much like the first one is pretty much just a tutorial. It teaches how to do advance movement techniques like wall jumping, glideing, and more on how to use grappling points. There really is no hard sections on this stage. One nifty thing though is there is a sign for a hotel wich reads Hotel 696. wich is destructable and you can make it read "Hot 666". Just for the cornball in you I guess? Comic Cover Locations (3): 1. After the first double jump section, jump over to the closest building then turn to the building to your right, glide and use the grapple point. Comic Issue #: E-20, N-53, H-86. 2. After clearing the parking lot, go through the guardian demon then wall jump up the walls and over the chain link fence. You have to go over the right hand side. Walk around the parking lot on the outside of the chain link fence to pick up the comic cover. to get back over the fence jump on the airconditioning unit next to where the comic book was and double jump over the fence: Comic Issue #: E-26, N-59, H-92. 3. In the third section of the stage, after the first grapple point, soar over to the distant building on your right (it has a check point on it) kill the demons and run up the stairs to grab the comic book. Out in the open, hard to miss. Comic Issue #: E-5, N-38, H-71. -=Mission 3: The Evening News=- Enemies: Berserker, Flying Imps, Imps Weapons: Madcap SMG This is the first stage where things get a bit.. annoying. But its not that bad. You gotta do alot of jumping on things and pulling yourself up on ledges alot wich can be a bit of a pain since the game doesn't really sense when you need to grab on an edge that well. But it is good practice for the later stages and you will be grateful to get the training here once you reach hell.. The first part of the stage starts you out in a little warhouse area. Kill the berserkers, then kill the guardian demon to destroy the panel behind him, this will lower a stack of newspapers. Jump on the newspaper stack and up on the ledge. Kill the flying imps and then the guardian and hit the switch behind him. you can hit the switch multiple times this will make a stack of newspapers move closer to you. I recommned makeing all the lights on the switch green so you have plenty of time to jump over onto the stack of newspapers, over to the other wall of newspapers and to the switch above the wall to your right. run to the end of this wall and hit the switch there. This will raise a stack of newspapers under you and allow you to get the comic book cover. Kill the Berserkers and imps and then kill the guardian demon to hit the switch behind him. This will make a stack of newspapers begin moving above you. Use the metal stands in front of the newspaper wall to jump back up on top of the wall and then jump on top of the moving stack of newspapers to get to the check point and on to the next section. Jump off the machine when you first start out to the floor. Kill the enemies then run over to the machine you started out on. next to it you will see a check point and a switch, hit the checkpoint and then the switch. This will make a machine across the room from you move. run to the check point across the room and hit the switch that was behind that machine. Once again a machine across the room from you will move exposing another switch and a check point. hit them and this will activate a stack of newspapers on a crane. Jump back on top of the machine where you started and then on to the ledge. You will find a hole in the wall that you can move into to give you a running start toward the stack of newspapers. Run to the edge and do a double jump then glide over to grab on to the stack of newspapers, then jump over to the ledge on the opposite side. Grab the Madcap SMG, hit the check point, kill the guardian demon and then the final switch to activate the elevator. Jump down the elevator to go on to the next section. Kill the two waves of enemies. One will be a wave of berserkers, then a wave of Flying imps. after they are dead look up. you will see ledges to either side of you with grappling points at the ends of both ledges. Grapple your way to the top of the ledges and destroy the guardian demons and switches embedded into the wall. Then head to the end point. Comic Cover Locations (1): 1. Raise the third stacks of newspapers (third switch you have to hit) and jump down to retrieve. Comic Issue #: E-30, N-63, H-96. -=Mission 4: A Very Old Enemy=- Enemies: Violator Weapons: None You made it to the first boss fight. Congrats. This is our good friend the Violator. If you read the comics, seen the movie, played previous games you know all about him. If not. Shame on you.. Violator is a member of Malebolgias elite army and he is very jealous of Spawn. He wanted to lead hells army but Malebolgia chose spawn over him. Needless to say since that happend Violator is pissed and has been hell bent on proving he is Spawns superior. This fight is pretty easy.. on easy, and more difficult on the later difficulties.. (well duh). You fight him in a large arena with a platform around violator. You want to remain on the platform as much as possible as Violator has spread some sort of acid on the ground around him wich hurts you if you step foot on it. I find the best way to fight him is to unload all your necroplasm energy on him in the form of the necroplasm ball (make sure to keep him targeted as much as possible). you will have to keep moving as he will walk up to the platform and destroy the section you are standing on. but if your moving you can usualy move out of the way before he crushes it. The exception to this is the corners wich he can not destroy but if you are on them or if your standing still too much he will use a fire breath attack wich hurts.. alot.. after you unload all your necroplasm energy into him just use up all your ammo, for all your weapons (use shotgun last).. he should be dead or close to dead at this point if not just chain him to death. Enjoy the cutscene and on to the next level. Comic Cover Locations: None -=Mission 5: Desk Job=- Enemies: Wynn Soldiers, Possessed Soldiers, Imps, Meat Puppets, Robot Drones, Berserkers, Fire Demon Weapons: None This mission takes place in Jason Wynns office. You start out in a room with doors to your left and to your right and some furniture. Dont destroy the furniture just yet.. Go through the right door first. The one with the guardian demon. This room is pretty much the standard for this level. A room full of furniture that you can destroy and waves of enemies to kill. This first room only has Wynn Soldiers, Possessed Soldiers, and Imps to worry about. After you get done unleashing your hell like wrath on them go ahead and destroy the furniture. behind the desk in the back of the room in front of the window is the first comic book for this level. Pick it up and then head out the way you came. Now you can go ahead and destroy the furniture in this room if you need health or ammo. Proceed into the next door. This room again is like the first one you went into. Waves of enemies sans imps with meat puppets added for your killing pleasure. After you have killed everything and turned the furniture into mulch kill the guardian demon and proceed to the next room. Head down the stairs and blow off some imp heads and kill the drones (I recommend using your chains on the drones). After they are gone head to the back of the room. It will go to a cut scene showing you the stairs with the check points on them then a new wave of enemies will come for you to kill. after you kill them continue heading to the back of the room. There is an empty elevator shaft (not the one with the doors stuck) with the next comic book cover in it. After you grab the comic book cover head to the stairs with the check points on them. Use the fountain steps on the side and double jump over the balcony to reach the second check point and the door to the next room. This room greets you with a lone fire demon. After you kill him you will then face a few waves of berserkers and Imps. Do what you will with the furniture, then kill the guardian demon and move to the next room. This room has a lovely motif of a long table in the center with an eviscerated corpse, a few impaled corpses here and there and some televisions on the walls. The feng shui flows nicely here. Become one with your chi and immolate everything in sight. When your done, kill the guardian demon and on to the next room. Much like the first room on our trip through wynns humble abode you will face a few soldiers followed by a few waves of imps and berserkers. You can destroy the trophy cases on the walls for health if needs be. Once everything is dead the end point will appear. Comic Cover Locations (2): 1. In the room to the right when you first start out, behind the desk next to the window. Comic Issue #: E-23, N-56, H-89. 2. In the third room you enter (the multi tierd room) in the empty elevator shaft. Comic Issue #: E-21, N-54, H-87. -=Mission 6: Seas of Blood=- Enemies: Spider Tank, Flying Imps, Berserkers, Bulldozer, Robot Drones, Weapons: Mini-guns, Brimstone Cannon Ahh back out into the fresh night air. You start out in a large dock area with a bunch of crates you can destroy for ammo and a few health pick ups. head to the back of this area and you will encounter your first Spider Tank. The way I do these is to just get close enough to target it and use your chains to kill it. Keep side stepping as you smack it with your chains and jump as you side step to do a cartwheel if it starts using its mini-guns, it will usualy stop fireing if you do this. With this technique you will probably only get hit a few times with its mini-guns but not enough to do alot of damage and when it charges you will usualy avoid it, takeing minimal damge by the time its dead. After hes dead and the fire wall drops head to your right where you will find the mini-guns and to the left of that you will easily see the first comic book for this stage. Keep heading down the docks and very shortly some flame walls will shoot up and you will need to kill some flying imps and berserkers. Once they are dead continue moving down the docks it will lead you into the next section. This area is a long corridor between buildings and cranes walk down the corridor to a stone wall wich will be knocked down by the bulldozer. This guy is a little bit of a pain. What you have to do is keep it targeted and move backwards away from it, use your backflip to avoid being hit when it rushes you. After a little while it will summon some berserkers then lift the plow exposing its eye. when it does this unleash on it with one of your rappid fire weapons and avoid the berserkers with cartwheel jumps untill he drops the plow and you can no longer hit him, then take out the berserkers. rinse, repeat untill its dead. After he dies kill off the last wave of berserkers and a few waves of flying imps will appear. Finish them off and continue your way down the corridor to the Brimstone Cannon. After you pick it up head into the brownish metal door. In this building you will encounter some robot drones, flying imps, and berserkers. After killing off the first few waves of enemies the fire walls will drop and you can head upstairs. keep following the path and up the flights of stairs untill you reach the third check point. At this point you will be surrounded by firewalls and have to face a few more waves of enemies. Once they are dead continue up the stairs, jump over the broken section and use your grappling hook to get up to the top level. Kill the guardian demon and then jump down to the bottom floor and go into the door the cutscene showed you. Your back out in the open now and in this area there are a bunch of automatic machine guns that watch the area. Avoid the red lasers to keep from tripping them off and go destroy the five switch boxes the cut scene showed you. You can hit the guns with your axe to disable them for a short time. just walk along the ground and look for the check points. next to each check point is a box with two switch boxes in it that you can destroy. in the largest ground area you will see the next comic book go ahead and pick that up on your way to destroy one of the ground boxes. Once you destroy the two ground based boxes, near the one closest to the comic book cover you will see a stack of metal crates. Jump up on the crates and then up on top of the building to destroy the next box. After it is destroyed jump on the vent and look up. you will see a grappling point at the top of the metal tower. you can either jump and use the grappling point and then jump back down over to the next box, or you can just double jump from the vent and glide over there to get it. Once that one is destroyed jump on top of this buildings vent and you will see another metal tower with a grapple point. Grapple on top of it then turn to face a third tower in the distance with a grapple point. Double jump off the tower your standing on and glide down to the roof of the large building in the center. run to the edge and then double jump and use the grapple point to get on top of the third tower. From there just jump down to the final check point and switch box. After that a cutscene will show Spawn on the ground once again and show you where the end point is. Whew.. Comic Cover Locations (2): 1. To the left of the mini-guns, cant miss it. Comic Issue #: E-15, N-48, H-81. 2. In the machine gun area where you have to destroy the 5 switch boxes, it is laying on the ground in the larger ground area. Comic Issue #: E-3, N-36, H-69. -=Mission 7: Power Behind The Throne=- Enemies: Hell Leech, Flying Imps, Lamenting Demons, Hell Eyes, Fire Demons, Weapons: None Much to my disapointment this level didn't involve toilets and the plumbing involved within. More rather your in a subway station looking for power generators to cut the power to the warehouses defense weapons. You start out in an area with a wrecked train and you get attacked by a bunch of hell leeches, flying imps, and then finaly a lamenting demon with hell eyes. I find the best way to kill the lamenting demons is to target them and smack them to death with your chains. But dont get too close as they will emite a wave of necroplasem wich will harm you. Keep moving to avoid the little charged fire blasts that appear around you while your fighting him. After he is dead go ahead and power up your necro shield then move to the wall opposite of where you fought the lamenting demon. You will see a rune type marking, walk up to it and hit the A button. this will make the wall fade away and open up to a small alcove with this levels first comic book. Now you can go through either of the exits in this area at your choosing, but for the walkthrough we will go through the exit closest to the train wreck. In this area you will face a wave of flying imps, then a wave of fire demons, followed by a wave of fire demons and flying imps, another wave of fire demons, one more flying imp, and then finaly a lamenting demon with hell eyes.. You want fries with that? thank you, drive through.. Through the exit and in the next area you will see another wrecked train and a door to your left. The combat music begins to play here for some reason but I have yet to see something spawn in this room. Go through the door to your left, run across the train tracks and put up your necro shield, you will see another rune. Run up to it and hit A to expose the second comic book. Run to the end of this room where they have the barricades on the tracks and you will see another open door to your right, go through that door and to the back wall past the barricades on the tracks you will see another open door and the first generator, run up to it and smack it with your axe to disable it. After you destroy it run all the way back the way you came to the first room. The enemies you had to fight the first time will spawn again. You can kill them or if your not in the mood just go ahead and keep on running. Once your back to the first room you can either kill the enemies again or just head on to the exit by the rubble. In this room you will come across a large hole where the train tracks should be and encounter a few hell leeches and yet another lamenting demon. Kill the hell leeches, then move to your right hand side, double jump over the gap and hit the grapple point. Kill the lamenting demon and move on to the next area. This room is like the last one. Another big hole where the tracks should be but no train in this room and you will encounter flying imps and fire demons. Go ahead and kill the imps and fire demons. I suggest using your necroplasm ball to kill the flying imps on the other side of the hole so your not doing abunch of jumping back and forth. Once the combat ends go down the center of the tracks and double jump and glide over to the other side and head through the open door on your right. Head down the corridor and you will come out into another room with tracks, if you turn to your left you will see the last generator. destroy anything in the room if you wish then smack the generator. This will bring up the exit point and another mission down the drains.. sorry, couldn't resist. Comic Cover Locations (2): 1. Behind a hidden wall in the first room of the level. Comic Issue #: E-27, N-60, H-93. 2. Behind a hidden wall in the third area (if following the walkthrough). Comic Issue #: E-18, N-51, H-84. -=Mission 8: Unwelcome Attentions=- Enemies: Wynn Soldiers, Possessed Soldiers, Robot Drones, Spider Tank, Weapons: Burst Missle Launcher This stage is much like the evening news stage. You start out in a large warhouse room and your objective is to kill switches to open the next area. In the first room you will face a few wynn soldiers, followed by a wave of robot drones, and possessed soldiers, after wich a couple more waves of drones will appear. Once they have been defeated go ahead and hit the first check point on the ground and destroy the wall pannel next to it.. After you destroy the panel turn around and look up, you will see a cat walk above you with a grapple points at the ends of the large platform in the middle. Grapple up there and then look towards the wall that the first panel you destroyed was on, follow the catwalk to the left and the next panel will be on the same wall. Jump down after destroying the panel and go through the door closest to the first check point. In this room you will encounter waves of drones and thats it. After you kill all the drones, look up again and you will see two grapple points to either side of the molten steel leading to the catwalk. For the purpose of the walk through go ahead and hit the check point and use the grapple point above it. Once your on the catwalk there is a switch box ahead of you and slightly to your right (can't miss it). Smack the switch box, then keep on heading down the catwalk to your right, you will turn a corner and in front of you between the two sections of the catwalk you will see this stages only comic book cover. Go ahead and double jump over to it and then you can glide a bit to hit the other grapple point wich will put you in front of another switch box, destroy the box and then head down the catwalk to your left. You will encounter another switch box, whack it with your axe then drop down and go through the door next to the check point. Look! its our old friend the spider tank. Once again the best strategy is to target him and smack him with your chains untill hes dead. Remember to keep moving and to do a cartwheel jump to avoid takeing too many hits from his chain gun. After hes dead the end point will appear as well as the Burst Missle Launcher. Grab the launcher and hit the exit. Comic Cover Locations (1): 1. In the second area of this stage inbetween the two catwalk sections in the middle above a pot of molten steel. Comic Issue #: E-9, N-42, H-75. -=Mission 9: Angel Attack=- Enemies: Angel Hunters Weapons: None This stage is very quick and simple. You are back outside where the automatic machine gun turrerts were and are surrounded by Angel Hunters. You will be attacked by three or four waves of them after you kill them all, the flame walls will disappear and the end point will appear. You can walk around the area if you wish but I havent found anything of value out there. Just go ahead and run to the end point. Comic Cover Locations: None -=Mission 10: Mayhem=- Enemies: Cy-Gor Weapons: None This is the second boss fight. You start the stage in an alley confronted with king kongs rivethead brother Cy-Gor. This boss is a bit tougher than Violator but not by much once you learn the patterns. He starts out crouched down and will raise either his left or right fist, wich ever fist he lifts move to the other side and you can avoid the shockwave, he will also at times smash the building next to him and pick up some concrete. If you smack him in the face when he lifts the concrete above his head he will drop it and stumble about for a second before hitting the ground again. The other attacks he will use is a duel fisted side wave attack, stand in the middle to avoid these attacks and unleash on him as the waves go by. The last attack he will use is like the concrete one he will stand up and lift his fists above his head without concrete then fall forward sending a large shockwave along the ground. double jump to avoid this attack. Just like Violator I find the best attack to use at first is the Necroplasm ball. Spank da monkeh with your balls , then switch to your weapons and finish him off. Again I recommend keeping the shotgun as a last resort. Comic Cover Locations: None -=Mission 11: Cause And Effect=- Enemies: Claw Demons, Berserkers, Fire Demons, Brute, Assasins Weapons: None Your back in the streets and alleys again and you can now start to see the effects of hell coming out of the ground. You start out in an alley faceing a checkpoint. Run to the checkpoint and then continue to move forward a little and you will go to the next area. This area starts you out next to two freshly spawned claw demons, and a berserker. Kill them and head up the street two more berserkers and a fire demon will spawn next to you, after them you will continue to be confronted by waves of fire demons, claw demons, and berserkers. Kill them at your leisure or like the subway stage you can just move on to the next area. If you do stay and fight however you may notice that the claw demons have a new move, they will jump up onto the walls and try to attack you from there. When they are on the walls just smack them a few times with your chains and they will fall down on thier backs for easy pickins. After the fight just continue to follow the road, you will come to another checkpoint and if you look up you will see a Namco sign! (shameless self promotion!!!). Walk through the check point and on to the next area. Once again just follow the road a bit and you will encounter waves of claw demons, and berserkers. Past the first check point in this area you will find yourself at a couple of damaged buildings. Go to the checkpoint on top of the pile of rubble and from here you got two choices. You can either use the buildings damaged floors as platforms to get up to the top of this building, or you can continue to the third check point. Scare some birds and then head down the alley back there and use your wall jumping skills to get to the top of this building. Once on top of the building look around untill you see the Soul Calibur II billboard (BUY ME!!!!). From there double jump and glide to the top of the building under the sign, and you will see a hole in the roof of the building. Drop down the hole to collect the first comic book cover. After you grab the comic book, jump back out of the hole and then get back on top of the other building. Destroy the guardian demon and head through to the next area. Your back at the second area but this time on top of the buildings. head forward and drop down to the roof below you, walk forward across the roof, and head to your right when you can walk to the edge of the building and continue looking to your right untill you see the next comic book cover. Double jump and glide over to pick up the comic book cover. Remember this is the second area only higher up so if you accidently fall down to the ground you will need to work your way back up through the second and third areas again. Once you get the comic book cover, double jump back over to the roof you were on before, walk to the edge again and this time look to your left. You will see the next comic book cover in a broken building across the street. To get this cover you will notice that the building in front of you also has a hole in its side, double jump and glide into the hole, then run and double jump over to the other building to get the comic book cover. Once again, head back the way you came to get to the roof of the building you started this area out on. I find the easiest way to get back there is to move to the opposite wall that the comic was sitting near then double jump back into the hole across the street and then double jump back on top of the other building. Or if your not in a rush go ahead and just drop back down to the street and go through the second and third areas again. Unlike the subway station once you have completely cleared these areas of enemies they wont respawn again. Once on that roof again head to the edge to your right and look around untill you see the checkpoint. Double jump and glide to the checkpoint and continue walking around the corner to your right to get to the next area. Walk down the alley to the first check point and you will find yourself in front of a river of lava, move to your left along the edge and you will be able to climb the buildings face again using the broken rooms as platform areas. The easiest way to do this is jump up once section of the first building then use the exposed building next to you to get a little bit higher. Jump back and forth between these two buildings untill you reach the roof of the first building. Use the check points to help guide you to the best sections to jump into. Once you are on the roof of the first building run to the back of the roof where a billboard is being supported, use that to help you get up on the edge surrounding the roof and then walk to your left and double jump to the building across the street (on this side of the lava river) with the check point on top of the roof. When you hit the roof you will be attacked by a Brute, and some Assasins. The brute is very tough and you just gotta keep slashing him or use some of your necroplasm powers in the form of your necroplasmbeam, or the balls. The assasins are a bit easier but they try to keep thier distance from you. Dodge thier projectile attacks while you move towards them and then beat them down with your axe. They can get a bit annoying because they will disappear and teleport themselves to the roofs of other buildings, but I suggest you just be patient and wait for them to come back to the roof you are on to avoid falling down to the street and having to climb your way back up again. Once they are dead take a look around and you will see a grappling point on the building across from you. The grapple point is kind of difficult to use here to get into that hole so instead of using it the best thing to do is get on the ledge using the billboard again to help guide you then walk to the edge and double jump and glide into the hole. Much easier. Once you have the cover jump back over to the other building then jump down to the street across the river of lava to the check point on top of the pile of rubble. Double jump from the rubble over to the next check point where you can see the guardian demon on the fence, kill the guardian and walk through the gate to the end point. At this point new entries will be added to the Concept Gallery.. wee! Comic Cover Locations (4): 1. Down a hole on top of the building under the Soul Calibur II sign in the third area. Comic Issue #: E-14, N-47, H-80. 2. On top of a roof to the right of where you start out in the fourth section. Comic Issue #: E-4, N-37, H-70. 3. Once again from where you start out in the fourth section head to the edge of the building and look to the left. Comic Issue #: E-11, N-44, H-77. 4. In the fifth section from the roof you encounter the Brute and Assasins on, look for a grapple point the cover is behind that. Comic Issue #: E-22, N-55, H-88. -=Mission 12: Falling Angels=- Enemies: Brutes, Assasins, Reaver Weapons: None This mission takes place in a large area of the city. There are destructable horse statues in the center and of course cars and various other things here and there. You will be attacked by a couple of waves of Brutes, Assasins, and then finaly The Reaver. The Reaver carries a big sword that you do not want to get hit with and like the berserkers small calibur fire has little to no effect. The best thing to do is smack him with necroplasm attacks, or get close enough to start thrashing him with your axe. If you do a full normal combo with your axe on him he will stumble backwards giving you time to move in and unleash another combo. He goes down fairly easy this way. Just got to keep smacking him. Once hes dead there will be a cutscene and thats the end of this level. Comic Cover Locations: None -=Mission 13: The Living Forest=- Enemies: Hell Leeches, Tree Demons, Lamenting Demons, Hell Eyes, Claw Demons, Weapons: None This is another pretty straight forward level. You are investigating the demons you sense in central park and most of this mission just consists of you following the path, killing the enemies in one area and then heading through a guardian demon to the next area. The first area is a prime example of what your in for in this stage. Start walking down the path and you will be attacked by waves of hell leeches, tree demons, and then finaly a lamenting demon in front of the guardian demon. Kill all the enemies, then head through the guardian demon to the next area. In this next area you start out being attacked by a wave of tree demons, but dont stand still you will notice runes appear on the ground followed by a blast of energy from the sky that will hurt you. So keep moving and kill kill kill. Once you kill all the waves of tree demons another lamenting demon will appear by the guardian demon. Kill the lamenting demon and the guardian demon and on to the next area. This next area includes, hell leaches, claw demons, and finaly the obligatory lamenting demon in front of the guardian demon, and on to the next area. Ok, now its time to pay attention kiddies. In this next section follow the path down untill it splits into a T section, follow the path to the right, to get back on to the stone walkway and another split, continue following the path to your right, kill the tree demons as you go, you will come to some tree branches blocking your path, just hit them with your axe to get them out of your way and continue down the path. You will eventualy come to a blocked tunnel with the first comic book for this stage in front of it. Head back up the stone path the way you came and continue on the stone path killing the tree demons as you go untill you come to another blocked section. Head back down the way you came again and head up the non paved path. You will come to the lamenting demon and the next guardian. In this area you will encounter claw demons and a couple of lamenting demons. The next comic book cover is out in the open in this section to your left pick it up and kill everything then head on through the guardian demon. This is the final area of this stage. You will encounter a couple more claw demons, and lamenting demons then the exit will appear. head on through. Extra Strategy: In normal and hard instead of coming in waves creatures become like place holders. So when you kill one a new one will spawn shortly. Therefore in the large wide open areas it is best to only kill one type of creature at a time. This is expecialy important in the area that starts out with just Hell leeches but if you kill them a claw demon will spawn. It is best to just kill one hell leech and then kill one claw demon at a time instead of trying to fight all three claw demons at once. Comic Cover Locations (2): 1. In the fourth area of the stage follow the path and take right turns to eventualy get down to a blocked tunnel and the cover. Comic Issue #: E-28, N-61, H-94. 2. In the fifth area of the stage out in the open to your left a little when you enter the area. Comic Issue #: E-6, N-39, H-72. -=Mission 14: The Hell Hole=- Enemies: Newborns Weapons: None You start out the mission faceing a swirling funnel of fire and shortly after you start the stage an Imp will appear. arnt they cute? but wait a sec. Dont get out the shutgun just yet.. this aint the cuddly imps you remember. These are Newborns, bigger tougher versions of the Imps and their heads dont go pop at a whim. You will encounter several waves of these things just keep hacking and slashing 'em with your axe and eventualy they will stop spawning and the exit will appear. Comic Cover Locations: None -=Mission 15: Hell On Earth=- Enemies: Claw Demons, Hell Leeches, Berserkers, Lamenting Demons, Hell Eyes, Whip Demons, Angel Warriors Weapons: None As the level description says before you start this stage, you are in an opera house. The First section is in the lobby where you will encounter claw demons, and hell leeches. The fountain flowing with blood is a nice touch if I do say so myself. After you kill the waves of enemies, kill the guardian demon and into the next area. This area is in the theater. You will encounter berserkers, lamenting demons (with thier hell eyes of course) and whip demons. This stages comic book is in what I am assuming is supposed to be the orchestra pit (its rather small isn't it?) in front of the stage to the far right. After killing all the enemies head to the back of the stage and you can go through the doors in the back either to the left or the right. Doesnt matter wich they both end up in the same area. You're now backstage (and without a pass.. aint that somethin?) there is a big boat back here and some stage construction but nothing of much interest. you will once again face waves of Berserkers, whip demons, and now some Angel Warriors just for kicks (she can Figa my Ro any day). These are tougher versions of the Angel Hunters. They like to keep thier distance and use a prayer attack wich rains fireballs from the sky so keep moving and try to close in on them. Sometimes they will lower thier halbards and a long blade will come out of the tip wich she will swing in a circle to hit you from a distance. A backflip can easily avoid this. After you kill all these enemies the exit point will appear on the wooden stage in front of the boat. Comic Cover Locations (1): 1. In the orchestra pit in front of the stage in the second area. Comic Issue #: E-16, N-49, H-82. -=Mission 16: Heavens Soldier=- Enemies: Redeemer Weapons: None Another day another boss. this one is fairly difficult, he floats around in the air shooting blue fireballs at you the best thing to do like the other bosses is use your necroplasm ball attack and smack him between dodging the blue fireballs. After awhile spikes will come out of the ground with grapple points on top of them. Get on top of one of them quickly as he will land on the ground and a large circle of flame will eminate from him. Stay on top of the spike untill he gets into the air again and continue to use your necroplasm balls on him. he will occasionaly stop and bring out a large blue sword that he will swing down towards you, keep strafeing to avoid it. If you run out of necroplasm energy, once again break out the weapons and unload your ammo into him. I suggest using weapons that you can keep moving fairly quickly with and as always shot gun is a last resort. After his life reaches zero a cut scene will kick in and on to the next mission. Comic Cover Locations: None -=Mission 17: Descent Into Hell=- Enemies: Whip Demons, Flying Imps, Claw Demons, Lamenting Demons, Hell Eyes, Hell Leeches, Weapons: None You may have heard of this level, this level may be one of the reasons you are reading this walkthrough. When I first played this level the streams of obscenities comeing out of my mouth would make satan run to jesus for safety, and I questioned Spawns manhood on more than one occasion. The problem here really isn't the enemies, the fights are rather few and far between. This is pretty much just a platformer nightmare. But once you get the hang of it its not that bad. So without much further ado, lets do this thing. You start out on a platform facing a path going up to the left. Double jump over to the path and head to your left, jump the gap in the path and keep going untill you reach the two moving platforms. as the closest one is coming in jump on to it. they move quickly so so do you. once you hit the platform a whip demon will appear on a path above you. You can either go ahead and jump on that path and take her out or just double jump on second moving platform as it gets close to you. If you do she will disappear and you wont have to fight her. If not killing her will spawn a few Flying Imps for you to take care of. Either way you decide to do it once you get on the second moving platform, wait for it to move to its furthast position before heading back and then double jump on the pillar it brings you too. Once on top of that pillar, turn to your left and double jump and glide onto the pillar closest to you. From there turn right and head to the edge of the pillar. you will see the first path you were walking on and a tree like stone spillar. near the base of it you will see a little ledge with the first comic book cover on it. Double jump and glide down to pick up the comic book cover. Now from here you can make some choices on how you want to continue: Route 1: The quickest and slightly more difficult way is to jump back down on that path and get back on the first moving platform. Jump on the pillar that the Whip Demon spawned on and walk to the edge of it and look around untill you see a couple of grapple points. Double jump and glide over and hit the first grapple point, when you land turn to your right double jump and hit the next grapple point. Now there are grapple points and ledges above you on both sides. Turn to the one on your left, double jump and grab the grapple point, land and turn to the grapple point to your right, double jump and grapple it and when you land a flying imp will spawn on a ledge to your left. you can target it and kill it with a long ranged attack and then a Whip Demon will spawn. If you cant target her outright double jump straight up and hold down the targetting trigger and you should be able to target her and take her out with a long ranged weapon. Once that is done turn to your right and jump onto the moving platform wich will take you up to where you just killed those enemies. Go through the arch up here and walk to the edge of this platform and you will find the second comic book cover. If you happen to fall during this process you will respawn at the beggining. Either proceed to attempt this route again or go ahead and move on to Route 2. After you grab the comic book cover, walk back to the moving platform and jump on it, wait for it to move out to its farthest position and then you can just double jump and glide to the path in the distance. This will take you to the ending part of this area. If you fall at this point refer to the Alternate End Route. If you make it (and its pretty easy to make it) Walk down the path and you will reach a couple of hell sentinels embbeded into the stone pathway. Hit the one on your left with your axe to raise the platform closest to you. You will need to hit it a number of times to make it fully rise. once its up to the top go and hit the one on the right, after that platform is fully raised I suggest hitting the one on the left again a couple of times just to make sure its up highe enough for you to make the jumps across the platfoms. Then jump across and you will be at another one of these hell sentinels, hit him a number of times and then turn around to your left you will notice a pillar has raised up. Jump on that pillar then go through the hole in the rock to reach the second area of this mission. Route 2: The slightly longer but safer way is to jump back down on the path and follow it to some grapple points. Double jump and glide over to the grapple point and hit it to land on the path and continue down to the next grapple point you see. Before you reach it the game will switch to a cut scene and show you a lowerd path and explain to you how to use the hell sentinels (hit them with your axe). You need to hit it a number of times to fully raise the path. After the path is raised fully jump on it and go past the next hell sentinel untill the path branches slightly. by the time you jump off the raised platform the combat music has engaged and you will want to go up the path to your left. You will encounter a few Claw Demons. After you've killed them all you've probably pushed your way to the end of the path (the long path up your left, if you stayed down to your right, head all the way up the left path). You will see a grapple point on a floating rock. Double jump and glide then hit the grapple point, when you land, turn to your right double jump and hit the next grapple point. Now there are two rocks and grapple points available to continue. use the one to your left. once up there turn to your right slightly and hit that grapple point. once you reach the top of this rock a flying imp will spawn. You can target him and take him out with a long range attack. After hes dead a Whip demon will appear. If you cant target her outright double jump while holding down the targetting trigger and you should be able to target her. Once again take her out with a long ranged attack. Once she is dead look to your right. you will see a moving platform jump on the platform and it will take you to where you just killed those enemies. Jump on that path and go under the arch and follow it to the edge and you will find the second comic book for this area. If you have accidently dropped at this point you will start back where the cutscene was. from here you can get back on the moving platform, let it take you away from the path as far as it will go then double jump and glide out to the path in the distance you can easily glide down to the path from here but if you happen to miss the platform refer to the alternate finishing route. If you do happen make it follow the path down to the hell sentinels. Hit the one on your left to raise the platform closest to you. Once it is fully raised hit the one on the right and once that is completely up I suggest hitting the one on the left a couple more times to make sure its high enough for you to make the necessary jumps. Once you move across the platforms you will find yourself next to another hell sentinel. Hit it a good number of times and then turn around. You will notice a pillar has risen next to it. Jump up the pillar and then go through the hole in the rock to reach the second area of this mission. Alternate End Route: If you failed to soar over to the path and respawned at the beggining but you got the comic book cover, follow the instructions in route two untill you get to the cut scene explaining how to use the hell sentinels. Otherwise if you just failed to soar to the path and have allready taken route two then just follow along from here. You will want to raise the platform in front of you by hitting the hell sentinel a number of times untill the path is fully raised move along the path and jump over to the hell sentinel on the other side. Now if you haven't taken this route yet you will encounter the claw demons. Kill them if you wish. Otherwise just keep moving forward to the grappling point. Use the grappling point to pull you up to the new path and then follow the path to your right down to the hell sentinels. Are we having fun yet or what? Now in this area your just walking across a long path thats winding its way up a large stone tower. follow the path and jump the gaps past the large demon skull spewing lava. slightly past that you will see the first set of flame throwers. These look like a wide open mouth and nose that exhaust flames every few seconds. This first set is easly bypassed by double jumping outwards slightly and then glideing back in towards the hell sentinel. Hit it to raise the platform and continue to follow the path around, you will run into a lamenting demon that pretty much spawns right on top of you. You can either fight it at closer range or move forward slightly and duck inside the tunnel to your right. I suggset skipping it as a close fight with these things is murder on your health and you will need all the health you have for the last part of this Mission. move through the tunnel and near the top some hell leeches will appear. Go ahead and kill them, and then a bit furthar up the path you will run into three more flame throwers. Like the first set the easiest way to avoid these is to double jump out over the ledge and then glide back in past them. A couple more waves of hell leeches will attack you and you will need to jump across a gap in the path. You can kill the hell leeches if you wish or just keep moving. You will come to a metalic like wall with a concave skull in it. move your way around the wall and you are now in one of the most annoying parts of this stage. You will now be in front of a wall with flame throwers faceing outwards and you will need to wall jump up this area using the sides of this little alcove. the best way to do this is to wait untill the bottom flame thrower stops spewing fire, double jump up and over the head to the wall to your right then continue to double jump up the wall. If you land it correctly you will have enough highet to get over the other two flame throwers up this wall if not you will probably be hit by one and knocked back down.. try again. If you do make it up and out you will want to glide up and out over the flame throwers at the top or try to land between them. then turn around. double jump up and to the right and you should see a grappling point. grapple up there but be very careful not to move much after you land. you will land on the last comic for this mission. Turn around and double jump and glide back to the left and try to hug the tower a little to not go over the edge. If you get enough highet and stay close to the tower as you circle around try using your grappling chains. Sometimes you can catch a grappling point and pull yourself past the flame throwers and skip a very tricky part where you have to move quickly as another lament demon will appear on you as you walk across the path and will have to hit the next available grapple point. once up there walk to the edge of this ledge and turn around double jump up and hit your grapple chains again to pull yourself up to the exit of this area. Now this area is the inside of the tower you just climbed up. now you get to go down. its not as difficult as the climbing up part but you have to be very careful not to fall off any of the ledges. If you fall into the lava in this area your dead and will have to start this mission all over again. so walk lightly. Also you may be tempted to try to shortcut your way by jumping over to the opposite sides since it spirals downward it looks like you could make it if you glide over there. You can not as there is some sort of invisible wall anti cape thingy that makes it so you will not deploy your cape untill you've fallen too far to reach the ledge.. Convenient no? Work your way down the winding path jump on the ledges moving up and down and you can glide down from here a bit safely but dont go over the lava stick to the path. you'll have to jump around a lava fall and a pool of lava just be careful as you do this and once again stay as close to the path as possible. once you reach the bottom you will see a lamenting demon across a gap. You will be tempted to kill the lamenting demon with long ranged attacks but once again they have insured that there is no easy way to do this. if you kill the lamenting demon and then jump the gap about halfway over the gap it will break to a cut scene and then you wont have enough control to make it through the rest of the jump. You have to jump the gap and fight the lament demon up close. just keep moving and smack him with your chains untill hes dead. You might want to use your hell speed hell power at this point to avoid as much damage as possible. The cutscene shows the lava draining away and more path for you to walk down. You can skip the cut scene if you want but will have to be careful not to rush forward too quickly as the lava will still be draining away if you skip the cutscene. When you get to the bottom you will be confronted by two more lament demons. again you may wish to use your hell speed to keep damage to a minimal. After they are dead there is another cutscene showing the lava draining. once its over continue moving down. One more lamenting demon and one more quick cut scene will show you the exit. Your almost there just be careful and continue moveing down the path then through those gates. Congrates, its over. Comic Cover Locations (3): 1. On a ledge on the first big tree like stone pillar you come to (read walkthrough above for furthar instructions to get the covers on this level). Comic Issue #: E-31, N-64, H-97. 2. On a ledge past an arch after the grappling rocks where you kill a flying imp, and a Whip demon. Comic Issue #: E-29, N-62, H-95. 3. Past the wall jump section next to a grappling point on the right in area two. Comic Issue #: E-24, N-57, H-90. -=Mission 18: Meeting With Malebolgia=- Enemies: Frenzied Violator Weapons: None Time for another boss fight, and once again with our good friend the Violator. He seems a bit.. angrier now. But dont fret this fight is pretty much identical to the first time you fought him. Except this time your in hell and instead of metal platforms your on stone. He destroys a bigger area now and moves quicker but the strategy still applies. Keep moving if you need to move out of the way quicker do a cartwheel side jump and once again unleash on him with the Necroplasm balls untill your energy is drained then unload your weapon on him. He also has some new attacks. One he gets really angry and destroys all the platforms except for the ones in the corners. But they will come back this time after awhile. He also has a ranged attack where he shoots two large balls of fire at you they move slowly but they are rather big and with all the fire around its sometimes difficult to see when they are coming so pay attention. The last trick up his sleeve is he can fire some lightening into pillars behind the platforms in the corners wich will make the pillar turn into a dragon like thing wich will spew fire down on the corner platform makeing it virtualy useless for you for the rest of the fight. But keep moving and dont panic use the ground available when you can and you should be able to beat him. As with the last few bosses you will want to use the weapons that keep you moving fastest untill you run out of alternatives but if you've been upgradeing yourself and your weapons that shouldn't be a problem. Enjoy the cutscenes, Malebolgia seems to be a rather reasonable fellow dont you think? and then on to the next mission. Extra Strategy: On the harder difficulties this boss can become quite the menace. Instead of using the necroplasm balls to drain your necro energy, use demonic fury instead, and as the worms are takeing down his life unload a few thousand bullets into him. Demonic fury costs about the same as one necroplasem ball but does about as much damage as one and a half necroplasm balls. So just cast the spell and fight as you normaly would with the weapons untill the spell wears off then just recast and repeat. Comic Cover Locations: None -=Mission 19: Bat Out of Hell=- Enemies: Fire Demons, Lamenting Demons, Hell Eyes, Flying Imps, Whip Demons, Weapons: Inferno Cannon So I bet you were wondering what those grappling points and the moving platforms were for on your way down here since you never really needed to use them? well this is what they are for. Your on your way back up. Move quickly as the lava is on its way back up as well. Fortunatly this time in this area there are no fights so just run up the path untill you reach the exit. Nothing too difficult here. Now you have to work your way down the outside of the tower. when you enter this area it will show a cutscene zooming into statues. You need to destroy those to open the mouth of the skull to exit this area. Once again its the same as the first time you came here except your going in the other direction. Drop down to the platform below you, kill the fire demon, then walk to the right grapple the ledge and destroy the first statue. Now fall down to the path below you kill the two Fire Demons that spawn and then jump over the flame throwers and drop down the wall jump area. work your way around the metal wall to the left and destroy the next statue. continue moving down the path, jump out and around the flame throwers and then go through the tunnel to your right. You will find the first comic book for this mission and the third statue. leave the tunnel and then head to your left. That lamenting demon will appear on top of you again but this time I suggest you kill him. After hes dead turn to your right and look down. You will see the exit skull. Drop down to the platform there and another lamenting demon will spawn. Kill him then move up the path like you were about to climb the tower again, over a gap in the path is the last statue you need to destroy. Kill it then head back to the skull and through its mouth. Now this area has changed from the first time you were here. How? Its Hell.. stop asking silly questions. Anyways this new area is full of grappling points you need to use to make your way across this area. When you first start out head forward and just go over the first set of grappling points, just keep hitting the grappling button and you will force your way over. When you land on the platform you will be attacked by flying imps and a whip demon. Kill them and once again right ahead of you is the next set of grappling points to work your way across. these ones work thier way up and to the left just manuever the camera and keep on grapeling. Its really a cake walk. When you get to the top of this rock turn to your right, you will see a big rock with a tunnel in the middle and a path below the hole. Double jump and glide to the path below the hole. Once you land you will be attacked by a whip demon and a lamenting demon. Kill them and then move down the path (the big rock should be to your right) move to the edge and you will see the next set of grappling points. When you land this time your gonna be attacked by a wave of flying imps. Kill them and keep moving along the path to the edge and a lone grapleing point to a rock. grab the grapling point and land on the rock then turn and look to your right. You will see another grapeling point double jump and glide over to grab the grapling point and you will land on a platform and the entrance to that tunnel you saw earlier go inside the tunnel and grab the last comic book cover for this mission. Now go through the tunnel and drop back down to the path and go around again just like the first time. But this time when you get on the pillar with the single grappling point turn to your left. You will see in the distance another pillar with a lone grappling point.. run to the edge and double jump and glide over to it untill you can hit the grappling point and pull yourself up. When you land turn to your right, you will see another grapeling point. Do the same as last time double jump and glide over then use the grappling point to pull you to the top of the rock. when you land a lamenting demon will appear on the pedestal above you. give him something to lament about then look behind him. you will see a platform off into the distance that you can glide to.. once again double jump and glide over to the platform. Work your way around this weird shapped rock walk across it and then look down. You will see the exit point and the last weapon you need to complete your arsenal. Drop down grab the Inferno Cannon, and move through the exit. Your outta hell.. strange how its easier to get out of hell than into hell eh? Comic Cover Locations (2): 1. Through the tunnel going through the tower next to the third statue in the second area. Comic Issue #: E-7, N-40, H-73. 2. Through a tunnel on a big rock in the middle of the third area. You ahve to move around the rock to get inside the tunnel, you can not reach it when you first see it. Comic Issue #: E-17, N-50, H-83. -=Mission 20: Rogue Angel Rescue=- Enemies: Angel Hunters, Angel Warriors, Angel Predator Weapons: None This mission is back in the subway tunnels. when you first start out you will be attacked by a few waves of Angel Hunters and Angel Warriors. Kill them and then head across the tracks and up the stairs to your right. easy enough. and like the first subway level if you want you can leave an area after you've killed everything and come back for more spirits if you so desire. You recruite your first rebel angel here by walking over the blue angel swirling around in the middle of the tracks. Walk out on to the tracks and turn to your left you will see him past a crack in the ground that shoots up a wall of fire every second. you have to move quickly to get past it. walk up to the wall wait for it to go down and run over the crack and pick up the blue angel. After you pick him up you will be attacked by a few waves of angel hunters. kill them then jump on the platform to your right next to the wrecked train and head up those stairs. In this area as soon as you walk in you will be attacked by a few waves of angel warriors, take them out and then turn to your right and down the tracks you will see the next rebel angel to collect. pick him up and keep heading forward you will see an open door past some barricades on the tracks. inside is a control box, hit it and it will go to a cut scene showing a train moving close to a river of lava. after the cutscene head back out and up the train tracks. Turn to your right as soon as you can and head up the stairs. Head out to the tracks again and turn to your left. You will see the next rebel angel and three cracks in the ground speweing fire once again. Go ahead and make your way down the tracks. careful of the flames and pick up the angel. continue heading down the tracks and you can see the next one in the distance. But before you can get there you will be attacked by an angel hunter and your first Angel Predator (less clothes, more filling!). after you kill them you will be attacked by a few more angel hunters, then you are free to walk down to the rebel angel. after you grab him go through the open door and hit the control box. another cut scene will show the river of lava again and some platforms rising up out of it. Head back out and to your right and up the stairs. As soon as you set foot on the tracks in this area you will be attacked by a few waves of angel warriors. kill them and then head towards the river of lava (mind the molten hot magma) jump on the platform that you raised up and turn to your right. You will see another reble angel. This one looks like the reaver. ohhh! pick him up and then, head back out across the paths. now this parts a bit tricky. you need to jump on top of the train and then from there move across to the other side of the river of lava. just take your time and be careful and it shouldn't be a problem, head down the tracks through the open gates to the next area. This next area is much like the others. just follow the tracks and you will come to another angel behind two of those cracks that shoot up flames. also with him is this levels comic book cover. after you pick up this last rebel angel the end point will appear. make sure to grab the comic book and out you go. Comic Cover Locations (1): 1. In the sixth area next to the rebel angel you pick up. Comic Issue #: E-33, N-66, H-99. -=Mission 21: Citadel Of Heaven=- Enemies: Angel Hunters, Angel Predators, Angel Warriors Weapons: None Nothing like infiltrating heaven eh? when you first start out you will be attacked by a wave of angel hunters, and then angel predators. After you kill them you can destroy the panels on the wall for some health and to your left a door will open. Go through the doorand to your left and right there will be some barrel looking things. Destroy them they control the power supply in heavens fancy little world here. after killing the first two make your way across the security tract with the two lasers moving up and down. they hurt when they hit you so just be careful and move under them as they are going up and destroy the power supplies on the other side. After you kill them a door to your left (or your right, depending on wich way your facing) will open up and another angel hunter and an angel predator will attack you. kill them and head down the corridor and pick up the first comic book cover for this mission. Head to your right through the large open door. Kill the angel warrior waiting for you and then through the small elevator door to the next area. They will shut down the elevators and will send a couple of angel hunters after you. Kill the angel hunters then destroy the energy pillars to open the large door at the back of the room. another two angel hunters will be summoned after you kill the pillars. Kill them and then head through the large door, take a right through the small door and follow the corridor. You'll come out into a room with two dragon claw type hings holdin two red translucent globes of the earth. Kill the angel hunters that are after you and then put up your necroshield and head back towards the small door you came in at. You will see a rune on the wall. Get up next to the wall and hit A to open a secret area containg the other comic book cover for this mission. Head on down the corridor the other way through the large door. Kill the power pillar and the angels will retreat to the next level as the small door you came in at closes and a door next to it opens up. Go through that door wich will lead back out to the first room you started in and head back through the elevator to get to the next area. Once again they will deactivate the elevator you can destroy the furniture in this room if you like for some ammo if needs be other wise walk to the big door to your left wich will open up. theres some more defense levels to walk through. Once you walk past the first two you will be attacked by two angel hunters. kill them then walk past the set of four lasers, then another set of two to the large door wich will open up when you get close to it. Kill the energy pillar just inside the door and some hunters will spawn to attack you some more. kill them and keep going down the hall destroy the other two energy pillars in this room and the final big doors will open. Once again the angels will retreat to the next level except for a few hunters that will try to take you down before you can reach the elevator. take them out and then hop back on the elevator. They shut down the elevators yet again and increase the security. go ahead and trash the furniture in this room and any hunters that want a beating, then head through the corridor in front of you. Go through the corridor and kill any angels your run across and you will come out to another room with three energy pillars in it. Kill the energy pillars. and the door you came in at will shut and a door right next to it will open. go through that door, down the corridor and out into another room. head to your left and you will see another automatic laser security system, this time with lasers moveing up and down AND left and right. thems angels getting sneaky. work your way past the lasers and destroy the energy pillars on the other side. After you destroy the pillars a few more hunters will come to get killed. after you kill them go through the small door and through the new corridor that opend up. You'll find three more pillars to destroy and a few more hunters to kill. once again after destroying the pillars the door you came in will close and another one will open up, head through it and down the corridor back to the main room with the elevator. (anyone see a pattern forming yet?) Guess what happens next? Thats right! they deactivate the elevators and raise security. you will be attacked by some hunters, warriors, and predators, (ohh baby, three some!) and then go ahead and destroy everything in the room for some ammo, and health ups if you want and the exit should appear. we're done here. Comic Cover Locations (2): 1. Through the first small door you open by destroying the energy pillars. Comic Issue #: E-10, N-43, H-76. 2. In the second area in the room with the two claw stands holding the red translucent globes. In a hidden wall next to the door where you enter this room. Comic Issue #: E-12, N-45, H-78. -=Mission 22: Angel Station=- Enemies: Angel Predators, Angel Warriors, Space Station Workers Weapons: None Ok, this is by far the most complicated and confusing level in the game and describing it isn't going to be easy but I will do my best. The station is devided into four main sections. The Transporter Room, Captains Barracks, Gomer Barracks, Ekcter Barracks. I'm not 100 percent certain on the barracks names as the only way to know them is by listening to the ladies voice over the intercome system. if anyone knows for certain the names of the rooms please e-mail me (address at the bottom of this faq) and let me know. Otherwise I think they are close enough so you will be able to discern between the different rooms I will also describe the rooms a little to help you know wich room your in. There are 5 energy pillars for each of the three barracks that need to be destroyed and I will divide how to get to the ones for each barracks in each of thier own individual sections. so hopefully you will be able to just walk into a barrack and then refer to the walk through on how to destroy the pillars for that particular barrack. as for the transporter room, this is the room you start out in. you will be attacked by Angel Predators and Angel warriors. There are so many enemies in this level and much like the subway everytime you leave a room and come back in they will respawn so I will not be going into great detail on every enemy that spawns as you will become vary familiar with them on your own. You can kill them if you wish or just go ahead and head to one of the three portals that leads to the barracks. If you want go through each portal until you find the captains barracks and then I will guide you on how to do each barracks in the order I do them in the walk through. Captains Barracks: This is the darker of the two barracks with the angels armors on pedestals. You will find space station workers in this room. The first energy pillar to destroy is down the stairs and in the middle of the room. then head through the red portal to your left, Head down the corridor and to your left. A laser defense system is active here. move past it and then head down the hall to your left again go through the purple portal and destroy the energy pillar in this room. walk back out the way you came and head back to the Captains barracks main room. head across the room through the red portal on the right. Head down the hall and to your left is a small area where you can wall jump up to the top section. head out and take a right. this will lead you to the next pillar to destroy for the captains barracks. head back the way you came fall down the hole and back into the captains barracks. Now head up the ramp and the stairs to the right through the yellow portal. take your first left and fall down the hole take a left and head through the purple portal. destroy the fourth pillar and then head back the way you came. through the portal, to the wall jump section, jump up to the top and take a left to get back into the captains barracks. Head across the room to the yellow portal on the other side. You will see the first comic book down the hall just a way. go ahead and pick that up. Then head back a little ways and take the first path with the laser security you passed to get the comics. take a right, go through the blue portal and up the ramp to destroy the last energy pillar for the Captains Barracks. head back the way you came through the laser security and then to your left through the yellow portal back to the barracks main room and then through the portal to the transporter room. Now head to the portal to your right. Gomer Barracks: This is the lighter of the two barracks with the angels armor on pedestals. you will encounter angel warriors and angel predators in this room. Head down the ramp and destroy the first pillar in the middle of the room then head to the red portal on your left. Head down the hall, take your first left and then another left, and through the purple portal. Destroy the pillar in this room then head back down the corridor, take two rights and back into Gomers Barracks. head across the room to the next red portal. Walk down the hall and to your left and you will be in a wall jump section. Jump up the wall head out and to your left then take your first right through the laser security systems. take another right and then another right past the second laser security system and take a left through the blue portal and destroy the third pillar. head down and take a right through the laser security systems again, go to your left slightly and then right down the wall jump hole. then take a left and through the purple portal to the fourth energy pillar. go back through the purple portal head down the hall and to your right, jump back up the wall jump section. head left and through the yellow portal into the main Gomer Barracks room. head down the yellow lighted stairs and then back up to the yellow portal on the other side go through the portal then take your first right, past the laser security systems then another right and into the blue portal and destroy the fifth and final pillar for gomers barracks. Go back through the blue portal, take a left past the laser security systems and then another left and back out into the main Gomer barracks room. head down the yellow lighted stairs and back out to the transporter room. Head to the portal to your right. Eckter Barracks: This is the red barracks room with the various types of demons and imps on pedestals. head down the ramp and destroy the pillar in the middle of the room then head to your left through the red portal head down the corridor and take a right into the wall jump section. Jump up the wall and then head out to your left and through the blue portal. Destroy the second pillar in this room then head back through the blue portal down the wall jump hole. walk out and to the left and back through the red portal. head across the room and into the red portal on the other side. take a right past the laser security system and then another right through the purple portal and destroy the third pillar. Head back out the purple portal, take a left pass the laser security again and then another left and through the red portal. head back to the middle of the room and up the ramp then take a right up the yellow lighted stairs and through the yellow portal. Take a left through the laser security systems, then another left through the blue portal destroy the pillar in this section and then head back through the blue portal take a right pass the laser security and then another right and through the yellow portal. head down the yellow stairs and then back up to the yellow portal on the opposite side. head down the corridor and take a left into the wall jump section. fall down the wall jump hole. Head out of the wall jump area and take a right and go through the purple portal and destroy the final energy pillar. you should hear her say "power reroute under way" and then after a second she should say "Power rerouted to Transporter room". Head back through the purple portal, head down the corridor and take a left into the wall jump area. jump up the wall, head out and take a right and go through the yellow portal back into the main eckter barracks. head down the ramp and then into the transporter room once more. Now the pedestal in the middle of this room should be moving up and down. after it moves back down fully it does take awhile before it moves back up so if your standing there for awhile dont panic. just be patient and it will move up again. I do recommend that you go ahead and kill all the angels in this room before trying to use the pillar because they do have a nasty tendencie to wait untill your moving before they either spawn up there or use thier prayer to knock you off the pillar. once your reach the pillars maximum hight if you look up you will see the next comic book cover for this mission above you. Double jump to grab it. Now you have three paths to choose from but its nothing as complicated as the first three. Two of them lead to different labs. the third (the green portal) leads to the control room. First enter one of the labs it doesn't matter wich one you take first. and off to your left, or to your right depending on wich one you enterd you will see grapple points up to a catwalk type area with two portals to either side. These portals lead to the other lab so dont worry about them for right now. Once your on the cat walk, look up and towards where you can in and you will see another grapple point. Double jump and glide over untill you can hit the grapple points and get up on that platform. you will see a bunch of electricity hitting some reddish half ball spiked things (good description eh?) hit them with your axe untill they turn blue and you will hear a message over the intercome. then head to the next lab by either going back out to the transporter room and jumping to the next walk way that leads to the next lab, or you can go through the portals in these rooms wich will lead through a corridor that leads to the next lab. the lab layouts are pretty much identical so you just have to do the same thing in the next lab. in Ishka(?) lab you will find the next comic book cover down the ramp and behind the imp on the table to your right. After you destroy the orbs in both labs you will here a message saying that the control room is now open. Head back to the transporter room and through the green portal. Jump on top of the machine in the middle and you will find the last comic book cover for this mission. Then you just got to deal with waves of space station crews, warriors, and predators and once they are all dead the exit mark will appear. hit the mark and rejoice. Extra Strategy: After doing this mission in easy you should pretty much have a good understanding of the layout so instead of following the walk through just remember that there are 5 energy pillars for each barracks and that if you position yourself right you can destroy both the pillars that are back to back with the ones under the stairs. Best way to get the right positioning is to target the pillar as soon as you walk into the room and then since the next pillar is the next closest target if you hold down the targeting trigger it will put you into a position so that you can hit it with your chains. just strafe left and right a little untill your in a position that can hit it. Comic Cover Locations (4): 1. Through the yellow portal on the left from captains barracks near the wall jump hole. Comic Issue #: E-8, N-41, H-74. 2. Above the pillar in the main transporter room. (the pillar has to be at maximum highth before you can reach it. Comic Issue #: E-19, N-52, H-85. 3. In Ishka lab behind an imp on a table. Comic Issue #: E-25, N-58, H-91. 4. In the control room on the big machine in the middle. Comic Issue #: E-13, N-46, H-79. -=Mission 23: The End Of The World?=- Enemies: The Metatron Weapons: None Well we finaly made it to the last boss. The Metatron, looks like a giant metal scorpion (almost like a decepticon hehe). he has two basic attacks, one is like a rail gun he fires from his pincers, the other is a blue fireball fired from his tail (the fireball is like the one he shot at you as the Redeemer. Unleash on him with your weapons as you side step his attacks. Once his green health bar gets about a third of the way destroyed he will put up an electric barrier makeing him invulnerable as he shoots out metadrones. Use your chains to destroy the drones and get ammo for your weapons after awhile he will put down his shield and start attacking as normal. he will take about another third of his green health bar before putting up the shield and releasing the metadrones again. After you get his green health bar all the way down he will transform (no really.. is this a decepticon?) into a humanoid type robot thing and will shoot down at you with the rail gun and then will blast three blue fireballs at you quickly. keep running and hit him as much as possible between attacks. occasionaly he will jump towards you and land next to you causing a blue wave of energy to burst from his feet that hurts you a fairly decent amount. when he jumps at you stop targeting him run away and double jump and you can avoid getting damaged. otherwise keep on unloading your weapons into him. after he makes a leap attack he seems to wear himself out. this is a good time to unload a barrage of some of your slower, yet heavier hitting weapons into him. keep at him and sooner or later he will fall. and I thought he was made of sterner stuff. Enjoy the ending! Extra Strategy: This boss is still fairly easily defeated with the method explained above on normal but on the Hard difficulty it just doesn't cut it anymore. To kill him on hard the best way to take him down is by using just your chains while you strafe around him to avoid his attacks. It will take alot more time but if you keep moving and dont get to close to him when he has his recharge shield up you should take minimal damage. Then after he changes into his second form turn on the hell speed necro power and unload all your ammunition into him as fast as possible. By the time you are out of ammo he should be dead or close to dead. Comic Cover Locations: None -=|>Cheat Codes<|=- These cheat codes were obtained from www.GameWinners.com. To enter these codes hit start to pause the game and then enter them with the control pad. I have seen many people having problems entering the codes for this game and I do have to say it is very difficult. You have to input them very quickly to get them to work. I find the best way to do it is not only try to memorize the code but to try to memorize your thumb movements so it becomes a quick and easy flow of movements. Even with these techniques it is still rather difficult and it takes about 20 tries for each code so you just got to work at it. You will know when a code has been entered correctly as Spawn will speak saying "Necrolicious" i have heard he says other things but thats all i've noticed him saying. Also like with any game I dont recommend using cheat codes. At least not for your first time through as I find games seem to lose a bit of entertainment value when it becomes too easy. Unlock Encyclopedia: Up, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Down. -=|>Random Fun Stuff<|=- This section is just for glitches i've noticed in the game, some funny things i've noticed here and there throughout the game and i've also included the lyrics for the Marilyn Manson song on the soundtrack. Theres not alot here right now maybe I will have more for you once I go through the game on the other difficulties. Glitches: In the seas of blood stage when you destroy the first box on the roof of a building sometimes a glitch will make the normaly clear wave trails on your axe turn black and this effect will last the rest of the level. in the Angel Station stage when you are in the rooms with the energy pillars that are behind the stairs and ramp in the barracks you can sometimes use your chains to destroy the second energy pillar through the glass barrier if your standing in the right spot. It is sometimes possible to kill the flame demons without them actualy dying. In these instances you wont be able to target them anymore but they can't hurt you either. Just walk up to them and smack them with your axe to finish them off. Points Of Interest: In the Cause and effect level you can see billboards for Namco and Soul Calibur II In the rogue angel rescue level, check some of the advertisements on the subway walls. Some are kind of humerous. If you turn on the game and do not press start, after a few moments the game will play a short demo almost like a music video with the Marilyn Manson song and you can see a picture of violator in his clown form. The Bulldozer and metadrones are listed in the in game encyclopedia guess they got a bit lazy aftwerwhile. :-p And for you fans of the comics, movie, and other games. After Spawn dies and Wanda remarries she Marys Al Simmons best friend a man named Terry Fitzgerald who is actualy a real person and was the inspiration for Spawn. He help's with many of the Spawn projects as well. Look for him in the games credits. And interesteingly the voice of the angels is done by a woman named Erin Fitzgerald. Any relation?
