With unmatched durability and mobility, this new kind of specialized armors enabled people to once again dominate the battlefield. Wearing a dark blue armor, a man called Metal Wolf fights to reclaim America and his own honor. No one knows his true identity, except the master of the White House... (taken from xbox.com MWC page) -=> THE GAME The game has been made by the talented people that brought us Otogi 1 & 2. The graphics are beautiful, the gameplay is addicting & the dialogue is the most cheesiest one you've even heard in a videogame (but that's OK, since the game is a parody). ================================================================================ 3a GENERAL INFORMATION upgrading & buying new weapons ================================================================================ You can upgrade & buy new weapons in the DEVELOP menu. First you have to INVEST into development of new weapons. Afterwards you can buy them (MANUFACTOR), but you can only buy 8 of every weapon. To buy new weapons you need money & raw materials (if don't have enough of either one, you can't buy the weapon). After some time you'll notice that you can't INVEST anymore in development of new weapons, but there are still missing spots in the menu. Those weapons need to be unlocked (check section 6b for more information). TIP: be sure to invest enough money in the snipergun section, since the ultimate snipergun is most powerful & overpowered weapon in the game! ================================================================================ 3b GENERAL INFORMATION items ================================================================================ When destroying object, enemies or building, they sometimes drop an item. It's vital that you collect those. There are items that give you: health, money, raw materials & bullets. But more important are the 'armor upgrades' (they look like green vertical pods), they will permanently strengthen your armor with 1 'green cube' if you collect 5 of them. (check section 5a for locations of well hidden armor upgrades.) ================================================================================ 3c GENERAL INFORMATION hostages ================================================================================ During your quest you need to free hostages scattered across the map. Rescuing musicians will give you BGM (background music, check SPECIAL > BGM). Scientist hostages will sometimes give you armor upgrades. (check section 5b for the locations of well hidden hostages.) ================================================================================ 3d GENERAL INFORMATION scores & records ================================================================================ When you have cleared a mission, you'll get your mission results. But since they are in Japanese, here are some translations. (Keep in mind that I don't speak Japanese and so these translations are not 100% accurate). Page 1: top right corner: hostages rescued & armor upgrades found. middle: - Kill points (enemies taken down) - points for damage taken - points for Cool! & Nice! - points for combo/chain - TOTAL bottom left corner: - money earned page 2: - time taken - carnage (how many enemies, object & building you have destroyed) - how many bullets you have fired - accuracy - how many enemies you have killed by stomping (jump + Y) - how many enemy missiles/rockets you have taken down - how many damage you have done in American Dollars - time taken between two specific points Keep in mind that these scores are only stored when playing on normal difficulty (don't worry about this too much when playing the game for the first time). You can also review your records by choosing SPECIAL > RECORD at the mainmenu. For left to right, here are the categories (again): 01 - mission total 02 - kill points 03 - damage taken 04 - cool! & nice! 05 - combo/Chain 06 - time taken 07 - carnage 08 - bullets used 09 - accuracy 10 - enemies 'stomp-killed' 11 - missiles/rockets taken down 12 - damage done 13 - time taken between 2 points ================================================================================ 4 BOSS STRATEGIES ================================================================================ Since the missions themselves are so simple & straightforward, I'm only going to explain how to defeat the bosses. General TIP: there's a reloading bug that you can abuse. Reloading the snipergun rocketlauncher & missiles-launcher take sometimes 2/3 seconds. But if you quickly press the B-button 2 times, you can fire again without reloading. -------------------------- MISSION 02 - SAN FRANCISCO -------------------------- Destroying the fortified building at the end of the map will trigger the boss fight. DORSEY is a rather easy boss, but watch out for his super-canon attack, it's very nasty. You could easily shield yourself from his attacks by dashing from left to right or by covering behind a building. Best weapon to defeat him is the bazooka. ------------------------- MISSION 03 - GRAND CANYON ------------------------- After crossing a large bridge, the second boss will appear, a super helicopter. He goes down pretty fast, but try not to loose to many health, because this isn't the end of the level. Best weapons here are the bazooka & missile launcher. But don't fire when he fires or you will loose ammunition by taking his missiles down. His attacks are easily avoided by dashing away. -------------------- MISSION 05 - PHOENIX -------------------- When the mission starts run away (and regain the health/armor you lost). Destroy all yellow dots on the map to make the 3 bosses visible (but you don't have to if you don't want). Any weapon with decent damage will do just fine here. ------------------ MISSION 07 - MIAMI ------------------ After destroying all yellow dots, it's time to face the boss. Not much to say here, except don't fall into the water, it will kill you instantly. Best weapon here is the snipergun. -------------------- MISSION 09 - HOUSTON -------------------- You can't damage OLAJIWON until you destroy the yellow dots first. So, do it quickly and end the endless supply of ennemies. The boss can only be damaged from beneath or from the sides. If you have the ultimate snipergun, you can kill him even before he reaches the other side. If you don't have it yet, I suggest you climb on the high building in the middle of the map (there are 2 robots that you need to dispatch first). From here, just wait patiently while the OLAJIWON passes by (he does this every minute) and blast him from beneath with your best artillery. --------------------- MISSION 10 - NEW YORK --------------------- You have to options here. You can first destroy all yellow dots on the map to weaken CASPARAITIS, or you can attack him immediately when the mission starts. If you have the ultimate snipergun, I suggest the second option. --------------------------- MISSION 11 - LIBIRTY ISLAND --------------------------- This is a rather pointless long boss battle. You need to destroy WARNER as fast as you can, so equip your most powerful weapon & fire like crazy at him. Watch out that you don't run out of bullets. For the first part, destroy all canons on top of the tank, otherwise he can easily kill you in the second part. For the second & third part, you need constantly to dash backward from the tank. If don't have enough time, try to just the reloading-bug! --------------------------- MISSION 12 - WASHINTON D.C. --------------------------- Once outside you'll have to face FIGHT HOUSE. It's a rather easy, but annoying bossbattle. First destroy all enemies (especially the tanks & helicopters). Then start firing at the boss (you can only damage him, when he opens). Don't use too heavy weapons here or you will damage the White House and loose the level. ---------------------- MISSION 13 - LAS VEGAS ---------------------- At the start of the mission you will be confronted by 2 familiar bosses. I suggest you take out the tank first. But don't aim at him, aim at the bridge, if the bridge is destroyed the tank falls in the water & dies. To defeat the helicopter, stand beneath it start firing at it. The best weapons here are the minigun or shotgun (since you can take out the incoming missiles, while damaging the boss). Now, it's finally time to confront RICHARD HAWK for the first time. Again, the best weapons here are your best shotgun or minigun. You need to be constantly moving or he will hit you. Don't look at your screen too much, look at the radar to see where the boss is located. Don't worry about loosing a few lives/armor. There plenty of health items lying around here and in the next area. For the second part, blast him down with a heat-seeking missile. Then finish him off, any weapon will do fine here. The third part is like the first part, avoid his attacks by dashing from left to right & shoot like crazy at him. But watch out, once he's almost destroyed he will unleash his super-attack, if he hits you, it's game over. So take distance when this happens. ------------------------- MISSION 14 - SPACE COLONY ------------------------- For the first part of this level you need to reach the top. Try not to loose to many lives because the next bossfight will be most frustrating & difficult. Once on top, destroy all pillar and destroy the door to trigger to bossfight. For the first part, dash to avoid his attacks and blast him to bits with heavy artillery. There are few boxes with health items, but it's risky to turn your back to the boss. For the second part, run upstairs and climb on top of the big block (where the 2 stairs meet) and kill the boss as quickly as possible. The ultimate snipergun & reloading bug are your best friends here! For the third part, just shoot him down with what ever you have left & enjoy the ending! ================================================================================ 5a HIDDEN STUFF hard to find armor upgrades ================================================================================ -=> MISSION 04 - ALCATRAZ Once inside the mainbase, look around. You will notice a few wooden boxes to your left, smash them. Behind you'll find a metal door, destroy & enter it. At the end of the tunnel you will find a crate with the armor upgrade. -=> MISSION 07 - MIAMI If you destroy a boat right in front of the boss, it will drop the armor upgrade. You have to hover above the water to pick it up, be careful, it something will hit you, you fall & die. ================================================================================ 5b HIDDEN STUFF hard to find hostages ================================================================================ -=> MISSION 03 - GRAND CANYON When facing the 4 large towers at the end of the mission, turn around & look up. High up the building you'll find a group of hostages. -=> MISSION 04 - ALCATRAZ At the start of the mission turn around and enter a cave. -=> MISSION 05 - PHOENIX Look in the South-West part of the stage, there are a couple of hostages hidden between a large building and the yellow line on the map. -=> MISSION 07 - MIAMI Most hostages are hidden on boats, but the most annoying of them is the group located in the South-West of the boss. -=> MISSION 08 - CHICAGO 1. At the start of the mission, go down and find a group of hostages close to the water. 2. To the same thing, only at the end of the mission (close to the drawbridge). 3. Some hostages are located on the rails track. When you first see the rails, jump on it & follow the train to locate the hostages. ================================================================================ 5c HIDDEN STUFF easter eggs ================================================================================ -=> STATUE OF LINCOLN You can destroy this statue in the first & 11th mission to hear some funny dialogue. -=> NEWSREPORTER You can shoot down the newsreporter in his copter to here some dialogue. -=> BILLBOARDS If you shoot with the SHARK-gun at billboards, you can sometimes peal of the paper to see the original message. -=> UFO (GRAY) Once you have freed all hostages, each level will feature an UFO. You won't unlock anything if you kill them all, but Jody will sing a song for you once you have killed 10. The easiest way to kill an UFO & GRAY, is to get close and blast it to bits with your best shotgun. ================================================================================ 6a UNLOCKABLES general ================================================================================ Once you have finished the game for the first time, you will unlock - a new splash/intro screen - ability to choose your difficulty START -> NORMAL FEVER -> unlimited ammo HELL -> harder & more enemies - ability to re-watch FMV's in the THEATER - ability to choose other costumes Every time you finish a level on HELL, you will gain one new costume. (So, 14 to unlock.) ================================================================================ 6b UNLOCKABLES joke/super weapons ================================================================================ -=> AFB - joke weapon that shoots American footballs requirements unkown -=> BB - joke snipergun Get an overall S-ranking in 'Stomping'. So kill as many enemies with stomping as possible. You can abuse enemy spawning point to get an endless supply of meat. -=> CRAC - joke shotgun that fires partystuff requirement unknown. -=> DRG - superweapon that fires dragonmagic (from OTOGI) Get an overall S-ranking in damage taken (as low as possible). ! unconfirmed ! -=> ELEPH - joke weapon that fire bubbles Finish the first level on HELL. -=> G-BOW - super-minigun that fires arrows Get an overall S-ranking in combo. Try to kill as many enemies in a single chain. Again, best way to do this is near spawning points. This is NOT: getting a very high combo, it's getting many multiple high combos. There is no point getting a chain higher than 101, because it still counts as a 100+ chain. -=> GRE-RH - super pistol that fires flaming bullets requirements unknown -=> HANABI - joke weapon that fires firework (or something like that) requirements unknown -=> MLS - a super-bazooka that fires moonlightswords (from OTOGI) Rescue all hostages in all stages. -=> RAYG - joke weapon, the alien's raygun Get an overall S-ranking in carnage. -=> SHARK - joke missile-launcher that fires sharks Get an overall S-ranking in shooting down missiles/rockets. ! Thanks tacenob for this information ! -=> TAIHUO - joke bazooka that fires some strange ... spheres? Get an overall S-ranking in 'Coolness'. So get as many Cool! & Nice! messages as possible. -=> WRE-RH - super pistol at fires with freezing bullets Get an overall S-ranking in bullets used (as low as possible). !
