Introduction =============================================================================== Welcome to my detailed walkthrough for the English version of Tales of Hearts R for the Playstation Vita. The purpose of this walkthough is primarily to get you through the main story of the game. I'll include some extra stuff along the way, but if you want to hit all the sidequests and sub-events, you'll want to check out a sidequest guide. This guide won't be listing every single item location (though I do make an effort to point you to all of them in the main story). I'm sure I've missed a few things, and if you know of anything, or if you spot an error of some sort, feel free to contact me and let me know so that I can fix it in a future update! I'm by no means an expert on this game. I just wanted to help others that might be getting lost to make it through the game. Some notes: I'm using the English names and titles for the characters/locations/artes/etc. Yes, I know Kor's name is really Shingu. Yes, I know it was a ridiculous thing to change (among other pointless changes). But since this guide is for the English version of the game, I'm going with the English names just for clarity's sake. I've tried very hard to make this guide spoiler-free. I will tell you when a scene is going to trigger, but I will never write out what happens in that scene. I will, however, tell you when a character joins or leaves the party. I also do not hide boss names. Some of them could possibly be considered spoilers, I suppose, so be aware when you're reading ahead. I'm not including sections explaining the game's various systems. The game itself covers all of that in the tutorials or in the game's Library/Adventurer's Book function in the menu. There are a couple of things that aren't explained well in the game and are often asked about, and they are addressed in the Frequently Asked Questions section. Otherwise you don'tneed me to explain the battle system or the cooking function or anything else. =============================================================================== 02.) Walkthrough =============================================================================== Before we get into the meat of this guide, here are some basic tips that will hopefully be helpful to you, especially if this is your first Tales game: 1.) Always talk to every single NPC, everywhere. Many of them will give you free items or trigger amusing scenes. I've tried to note all of them in the walkthrough, but I'm sure I've missed a few here and there. 2.) In battle, always target enemy casters first. There won't always be casters, but if there are, take them out first. Their long range spells can be dangerous. 3.) How you choose to develop the characters via their Soma's is up to you and your personal playstyle, but I strongly recommend that you get the Speed Cast skills as fast as possible for your casters (Beryl and Hisui especially). And don't forget to set the skills you unlock in the Skills section of the menu. Unlocking them in the Soma section does not equip them. Seaville Woods ............................................................................... Watch the opening scenes, then when you have control, head right until you're stopped by your first battle. After that, continue to the right to reach a Save Point. Save if you wish, then head south from the Save Point and enter the village. Seaville ............................................................................... You can do a bit of exploring in Seaville before moving on with the story. There's a Save Point just outside Kor's house. The village has an Armor Shop and an Item shop. There's a woman on the left side of the village, just north of the pig pen, with a question mark over her head. Speak to her and agree to buy 2 Apple Gels for her. If you don't already have them from fighting monsters, run over to the Item shop and buy two for her. Do NOT spend any more of her money. When you take the 2 Apple Gels back to her, she'll let you keep the change and give you a Melange Gel to boot (if you spend the change before going back to her, she won't give you the Melange Gel). Head to the beach area in the north part of the village and speak to the man beside the boats to the right for a free Apple Gel. Now approach the girl lying on the beach to trigger a scene. Afterwards, talk to the two ladies with question marks over their heads in front of Kor's house. Go south, toward the exit, and you should see a dog on the right. Talk to it to recieve 1 Namcoin. Now leave the village via the exit to the left of Kor's house. Back in the Seaville Woods, run back toward the Save Point, and this time head right from it and to a new screen. Keep going along this path until you trigger another scene. Afterwards, follow the linear path to a new screen and approach the Shrine to trigger yet another scene. When you have control again, run back to Seaville. After the scene, approach Kohaku and choose to initiate a Spiria Link. *Kohaku's Spiria Link* Run north and take the right path to reach a chest containing 2 Apple Gels. Continue north until you reach a fork. Head left first to grab the chest containing 1 Orange Gel, then go right and follow the path to a Save Point, then farther north to a green teleporter. Use it. From there, just go forward a few steps to trigger another scene, during which you'll acquire Kohaku's Shard of Kindness and Kor will earn the "Student of the Soma" title. When you have control, it's time to leave Seaville. Stop by the Item shop first. The shopkeeper will give you a free Life Bottle just for talking to him. When you're ready to go, head south and talk to Hisui and Kohaku. You'll end up on the world map. Run toward straight ahead toward the coast, then go right, around the hill. You should see an item searchpoint (it will look like glowing yellow rings). Examine it to receive another Namcoin. Now just head south to reach the next village. You'll see a brief scene when you cross a bridge, and afterwards you should be able to see a blue dot on your map. Head there to reach Cynos. Cynos ............................................................................... Once inside the town, you should see a woman sitting on the ground with a red exclaimation point over her head. Approach her for a scene. Afterwards, climb the ladder behind where she was sitting and run behind the waterfall to reach a chest containing 2 Life Bottles. Now head to the right area of the town, then south. In the bottom right corner you should see a woman in a maid outfit with a question mark over her head. Talk to her to learn about Namcoins (and hand any over that you might have). From there, go left across the bridge for a scene. There are a couple of shops here you can use if you want, then go back right across the bridge and enter the large house with the wooden staircase outside. It will be labeled the "Observatory". Inside, you'll acquire the "Sleeping Beauty" book. After talking to Uran climb the ladder on the right side of the house. There's a chest up here with 315 Gald inside. Once you leave the house, you'll trigger another scene, during which Kor and Hisui will both earn the "My Body is My Bond" title. Hisui will also earn the "Double Trouble" title and he'll officially join the party. To the left of the Observatory, right next to the water, is a man who runs the Duck Boat ride. Talk to him for a free Orange Gel. Now take the south exit from the town (go left across the bridge, where you met Uran, then south). As you leave, Uran will give you the Rice Balls recipe and teach you about the Cooking function. She'll also give you 1 Rice, 1 Dried Seaweed, and 1 Salt. From the world map, head straight west and you'll see the entrance to a cave. This is your next destination. Lagos Caves ............................................................................... The path splits almost as soon as you walk in. Take the left path and go north until you see a glowing object in the rock. Examine it to receive the Ancient Stalagmite. Directly right of the glowing object is a path going further north. Take it to another fork, then head left and south reach a ladder you can jump down to get a chest containing 2 Life Bottles. Go right from the chest, across a narrow bridge, and north into the cave. Follow the linear path all the way to the back to reach a chest containing 333 Gald. Go back out of this cave and go back to where you found the chest with Life Bottles inside. Climb the ladder back up and follow the path, going right at the fork this time and into the other cave. In here, take the right path to reach a chest containing 2 Orange Gels, then go back aroud and take the left path to a new screen. In here, follow the path to a Save Point (be sure to save!) and then further in to find Euclase. Approach him for a scene. Before performing a Spiria Link with him, head all the way to the right for a chest containing 1 Namcoin. Now go back to Euclase and initiate the Spiria Link. *Euclase's Spiria Link* When you have control, go straight north as far as you can and then right to get a chest with 2 Orange Gels inside. Now go back and take the path leading right that you just passed. Follow it until the path forks again. Go left to get a chest containing 1 Iron Guard, then go north. You'll pass by a Save Point (it's a bit hard to see), so be sure to save, then continue on to a green teleporter. Use it. From here, take a few steps forward to trigger a scene and a fight. Boss Fight: Cowering Lilium ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take out the smaller enemies first. Cowering Lilium is weak to lightning attacks, so Kor should have some artes that will be effective. Hisui will keep you healed, so don't worry too much about your HP. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After the battle you'll acquire Kohaku's Shard of Fear. Exit Lagos Caves (just head south on every screen) and go back to Cynos. Once inside the town, go north toward the giant chef hat to meet Wonder Chef. He'll give you the Chocolate Bananas recipe, 1 Chocolate, and 2 Bananas. Now approach Uran's house for a scene. When that's finished, we can do a few extra things here. For one, go to the north part of the village, where you climbed a ladder earlier to reach a chest. Climb the ladder again and you'll see a woman behind the waterfall with a question mark over her head. Speak to her and choose "Gimme the cash!" for 10 Gald. Go south from here, down a small slope, and there will be a little girl here with a question mark over her head. Speak to her and choose "Yes" for a scene (this is also needed to trigger a later scene). Head toward Citrine (the maid who takes your Namcoins). To the left of her is a guy you can talk to for a free Panacea Bottle. Go back to the Observatory and talk to Uran in the kitchen. She'll give you a Verbena. You can stay at the Inn for a skit with Ines. Go toward the Duck Boat ride and a brief scene will trigger. Now talk to the guy who runs the ride and then perform a Spiria Link with him. There's no maze this time, but you do have to fight one random battle. For your trouble, you'll be given the Duck-Boat Pass. Run toward the Duck Boat and examine it to ride. Ride it left, under a bridge, and keep going until you see a small dock on the lower side where you can get off. You'll see some shiny objects on the ground. Examine them to receive Meteorite Fragments. There are also two chests. The one on the left contains 3 Orange Gels and the one on the right contains 1 Namcoin. Ride the Duck Boat back to where you started and you'll trigger a scene where a man asks for your Meteorite Fragments. You have no choice but to give them to him. Now take the south exit out of town. On the world map, head south, across a bridge, then go west. You should see a cluster of trees with red leaves. This is your next destination. Twilight Forest ............................................................................... When you enter here, head north as far as you can to reach a chest containing 3 Apple Gels. Now take the right path as it circles around to a glowing column of light. Step into it to be taken to a new screen. Here, as you head north, you'll see a ramp on the left leading up to a tree trunk that has fallen across the path. Run up and across the tree to the right, where you'll find a chest containing 1 Beret. Run back down the ramp and continue north to the next screen. A few steps north, there is a narrow path on the left that's a bit hard to see. Take it to reach a chest with 2 Orange Gels inside. Now continue north and start across the bridge to the left for a scene. Gall will join your party, which will make the battles here a lot easier. A few steps to the left, you'll see a short path leading north. Take it to reach a chest containing an Arte-by- Number Kit. Now continue left and south to a new screen. Head south down the steps and then across the board to the right. At the bottom, there's a Save Point. Be sure to use it! Go straight left and walk onto the tree root. At the end of the path is a chest containing 1 Melange Gel. To the right of the Save Point, you can walk up onto the tree root here to reach a small platform with a chest containing a Dark Cape. Now head south, down the steps to trigger a scene and a battle. Boss Fight: Grim Keeper/Grim Reaper ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- These bosses are weak to light-based attacks and strong against fire and dark attacks. Chalcedony will temporarily join your party for this battle, and he has light-based artes, so he'll be a big help. With a four-person party, this fight is an easy one. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After the scenes, head left and follow the path to a chest containing 753 Gald. Now go south and west to get to the next screen. From here, go left and grab the chest with 1 Namcoin inside, then continue along the path to exit to the world map. As soon as you exit Twilight Forest, turn your camera to the left and you should see a small brown house on a hill above you. Enter it to find a Save Point and a chest containing 2 Life Bottles. From there, head south along the road and you should see the next town on the right (west on the map). Hanselar ............................................................................... When you first enter, talk to the woman standing south of the Inn and she'll give you the Chef's Hat attachment (these are items you can equip in the Status menu purely for looks). Now go left and climb up the stairs to the town square. Talk to the girl with the question mark over her head (the blonde girl with the hat) for a scene. Here in the square, there are shops you can use if you like, as well as Citrine (the maid who takes your Namcoins). Go up the stairs on the left and you'll see two small buildings called warehouses. The one on the left has two chests, containing 1 Namcoin and 500 Gald, respectively. The one on the right doesn't have anything. Now go back to the town entrance. You'll see the Inn here, but instead of going inside, there's a hidden path to the right that leads to the pig pen. Just go all the way up to the Inn's door then take an immediate right. Examine the slime with the chef hat. It's Wonder Chef, and he'll give you the Hot Chocolate recipe, 2 Chocolate, and 1 Milk. Talk to the pig for a free Squid. Enter the Inn and talk to the man behind the counter on the right with an exclaimation point over his head. Now go back to the town square to trigger a scene. Now go up the stairs on the left again, then take the stairs on the right. Enter the large house here (labeled the "Guildmaster's Hall") for a scene. Exit the Gildmaster's Hall and go back to those two warehouses. Enter the one on the right for another scene, then initiate a Spiria Link with Beryl. *Beryl's Spiria Link* From where you are, head south and left for a chest containing 2 Apple Gels. Now go back to where you started and take the path going left, then north, then all the way to the right for a chest containing 2 Orange Gels. Now take the path going north and use the green teleporter. Follow this path until it forks, then go south to a chest with 2 Life Bottles inside. Now take the north path to reach a Save Point (use it!) and another fork. Go left first to grab a chest containing 1 Cross Helm, then right to reach another green teleporter. Go right a few steps to trigger a scene and a battle. Boss Fight: Doubting Tritoma ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This boss is weak to wind-based attacks and strong against lightning. Take out the smaller enemies first. Hisui's wind artes will come in handy here. Turn off Kor's lightning artes (or simply don't use them). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the resulting scene, you'll acquire Kohaku's Shard of Doubt. Exit the warehouse and talk to the man to the right. He'll give you a free Dark Bottle. Return to the Inn for a scene and Beryl will join your party. Now exit the town and, on the world map, head south across the bridge and then west, running alongside the river, to reach another bridge leading to a mountainside. This is your next destination. Mount Grimm ............................................................................... Run forward and when the path splits, go north then left to a new screen. At the next fork, take the lower left path that circles around to a chest containing 2 Life Bottles. Take the middle path toward the chest and the ground will break off, blocking your path. Take the north path and follow it as it turns right until you're stopped by a brief scene. Continue right to a new screen. Here, go all the way right for a chest containing 2 Orange Gels. Now go all the way back left, south, and then right to return to the area where you first entered. Head right and take the first north path you see. Follow it all the way to a chest containing 1 Sage. Go back to that bottom path, then go all the way right to a new screen and keep going right. You should see an old shack. Take the path going north here, then right to get the chest containing 1 Melange Gel. Now continue north all the way to the upper boulder. Push it off the edge (hold X to grab and hold the boulder). Go back south and take the path you just cleared going left. On the new screen, take the first north path you can and follow it to a chest containing 880 Gald. Now go back and continue left until you reach a boulder you can push off the edge. You can now jump down from here and continue north. When the path splits, take the south path to another boulder you can push off the edge to create a path to that chest we saw earlier and couldn't get to. Go back south and left to use that path and open the chest, which contains a Nightcap. Now continue north as far as you can, following the path as it goes right and to the next screen. Keep going right to reach a Save Point (use it!), then go all the way north to trigger a scene and a boss battle. Boss Fight: Peridot ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Peridot is weak to water/ice-based attacks and strong against fire. Beryl's spells will be helpful here, but you have to keep the pressure on Peridot to keep her away from your casters. Hammer her with combos and artes, but be sure not to use any of Kor's fire-based artes (if you have them). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the following scene, you'll acquire Kohaku's Shard of Trust. Now you have to walk all the way back down the mountain (just keep going south), and head back to Hanselar. As you enter the town, Gall will earn the "Battle-Hardened" title. Enter the Inn for more scenes, then exit to the world map. Head south across the bridge and keep going south. You'll go by a small hill on your right with an item searchpoint beside it. It contains a Namcoin. Now continue south, all the way to the souther tip of the continent, to find your next destination. Pendeloque Southport ............................................................................... Before talking to the sailor, head over to the left side of this area. You'll find a Save Point as well as a traveling merchant. There are also two warehouses here. The one on the left has a chest containing 1 Namcoin and the one on the right has a chest contaning 555 Gald. Now talk to the guy standing between the two warehouses and answer "Yes". Now examine the moving box for a scene (this is necessary for more sidequests later). You'll be rewarded with 600 Gald. Now go back and talk to the sailor near the boat and choose to set sail. You'll automatically end up at your next destination. Obus Westport ............................................................................... When you arrive here, Hisui and Beryl will both earn the "Seasick Sidekick" title. Head left and talk to the guy to the south, near a small wooden dock, for a free Life Bottle. Go to the north part of this port to find a Save Point, another traveling merchant, and two more warehouses. The one on the left has a chest containing 1 Namcoin and the one on the right has a chest containing 913 Gald. When you're ready, exit the port to the left and, on the world map, head east to find the next town (a scene will trigger when you get close to it). Guz Spa ............................................................................... Toward the right side of town, you can climb two ladders to reach a chest containing 2 Life Bottles. In this little town, pretty much all the services are located inside the Mayor's House (the large house behind the man with the exclaimation point over his head). You'll find the Inn, Item Shop, Bookstall, and Armor Shop here. There's an old lady on the lower floor of this house who will give you a Chamomile for talking to her. Now talk to the Mayor (the man in front of the Mayor's House). Follow the girl who just talked to you toward the back of the town and speak to her. Now run over to the Hot Springs (the building to the right of the Mayor's House) and enter on the women's side (the red side) to trigger a scene, during which Kor will earn the "Dirty Deviant" title. Leave the Mayor's House and head to the left side of the town, climbing two sets of stairs. You'll find Citrine here, so hand over any Namcoins you might have. Go left to a new screen. From here, follow the path north and take the first right path you come to. There's a chest here with a Namcoin inside. Now continue north and you'll see a boulder with a chef hat on. It's Wonder Chef, and he'll give you the Tofu Steak recipe, 1 Tofu, 1 Mushroom, and 1 Radish. Continue north to trigger another scene. You'll acquire the Missive From Ines. After the scene, talk to Ines for a free Poison Bottle. Go back to the Hot Springs and talk to the little boy near the women's side who has a question mark over his head. Now go talk to Sassol in the back area of town and she'll give you a free egg and the Guz Lotus attachment. On the right side of town you'll find the Peeping Tom boy with a question mark over his head again. Talk to him and he'll run away. Find the Peeping Tom Boy again on the left side of town (the area right before where Citrine is). Speak to him and you'll get the option of performing a Spiria Link with him. Unlike with the others you've done so far, this one doesn't involve any fighting. You'll get a brief scene and it'll be over. Be sure to stay at the Inn before you leave to get a skit and acquire Gall's "Pajamas" costume and Beryl's "Hatless Wonder" costume. When you're ready to leave, head back out onto the world map and head straight east. You'll cross a bridge and you'll need to hug the right (you'll go through an item search point) and then you'll see the entrance to Ander's Mine nestled in the hillside. Ander's Mine ............................................................................... When you first enter, take a left to hit a chest that contains 2 Orange Gels. Now go back and take a right. At the next fork, go right and talk to the man with the question mark over his head. He'll warn you about enemies poisoning you and give you a Poison Bottle. Continue along this path to reach a chest with 2 Life Bottles in it. Go back to the fork near the man and go left this time to enter the Mine proper. Once inside you'll see a scene in which Kor acquires the Sorceror's Ring and Gall will get the "Older and Wiser" title. You'll also acquire a Windum. After the scene, go down and you'll see a ladder going down. Jump off here and go right (the steps hear lead to a closed gate you can see from here). You'll see a switch in front of you as you reach a north/south fork. Hit the switch and head north through the open gate. Then hit the next two switches and follow the newly opened path to reach a chest containing a Hunting Cap. Go back to that north/south fork and hit the switch again. This will close the north gate and open the south gate, so go south. Hit the next switch you come to and then follow the path east and then north. Hit the switch here and then climb the ladder on the right to reach a puzzle. After the scene explaining it, examine the glowing spot on the nearby wall to start the puzzle. You have to step on the tiles to make them light up, but stepping on the last one your stepped on will reset the puzzle. Here's a solution if you can't figure it out: Right, Up, Right, Down, Down, Right, Up, Up, Left, Left, Down, Down, Right, Right, Up. Clearing the puzzle opens the path to the chest to the north, which contains a Poison Ward. I recommend equipping it on someone (Kor unless you have his Poisonproof skill). Note: If you're struggling with the puzzle or are just too lazy to do it, you can have Gall do it for you by failing a few times. Go south and jump down two ladders. After the second ladder, go to the right corner where you can see a switch across the way. Hit it to lower the gate and go south then left to hit a chest with 2 Poison Bottles in it. Head to the right to find the second puzzle. Like before, check the glowing spot on the wall to start the puzzle. Here is a solution: Right, Right, Down, Right, Right, Up, Left, Left, Left, Down, Right, Up, Right, Down, Right, Up, Left. This opens the path on the right, which leads to a new area. You'll get a quick scene here, then head through the door on the right to another area. Go north up the steps and hit the switch on the left. This will lower the gate in front of you as well as the gate blocking the chest you just passed. Go back to the chest for 2 Life Bottles, then continue north for the third puzzle. Here is a solution: Right, Down, Right, Down, Right, Right, Up, Up, Left, Left, Left, Down, Right, Right, Down, Right, Up, Up. Solving the puzzle opens the path to another switch. Hit it then head right from the puzzle and jump off the ladder here. To the right is another puzzle. Here is the solution: Right, Right, Down, Right, Right, Down, Down, Left, Left, Up, Up, Left, Up, Right, Down, Right, Up, Right, Down, Down, Down, Left, Up, Left. This opens a path to the north that has three chests containing: 1 Namcoin, 1 Steel Guard, and 2200 Gald. Go south from the puzzle then up the steps to the right to reach a Save Point. Save and then exit South. Boss Fight: Chalcedony ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This fight isn't as hard as you might think. Your party members will surround him and pound him pretty good. Hisui will keep you healed so you shouldn't have to worry too much about your HP. When he goes into Spiria Drive mode, just free run around and avoid him until it's over. I found Kor's Impact Event arte to be pretty effective here. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After the battle you'll receive Kohaku's Shard of Shyness and you'll be alerted that everyone can now use Spiria Drive Level 2. Going to the right and north will just lead to the world map on the other side, so go south to exit this area to the world map. If you go forward and turn your camera toward the east, you'll see your next destination in plain sight, so head there (don't miss the item searchpoint behind a small hill on the side near the ocean; it contains a Namcoin). Straga ............................................................................... When you enter, you'll see a huge wall in front of you. There's a save point here (sadly it's not a healing save point) as well as a chest containing 1192 Gald. Walk through the gate to enter the city proper. On the right you will see some merchant stalls. The first one on the right will give you 1 Strawberry just for talking to them. Oddly, this merchant doesn't have anything for sale. The next stall is the Armor Shop. On the left side of the street is the Item Shop. On the right, just past the Armor Shop, you'll find Citrine. Go left, up the steps and continue going left until you see two bridges. Cross the bottom one and you'll find a chest with 1 Namcoin inside. Go back across the bridge and back one screen to the right. Take the first south path you see to find an NPC with a red mark above his head. Talk to him. As you head back north, you'll get a somewhat lengthy scene that results in Kor being separated from the rest of the party. Move south toward the door to trigger some dialogue from Kor and another scene. Now your party is back and you can exit south, only to trigger another scene. Ines will join the party and you'll be outside the gate. Go back inside to explore the rest of the town. Just north of where you saw Citrine, go up the stairs on the right and take the first south you come to. Here you'll find Wonder Chef disquised as a treasure chest. He gives you the Strawberry Ice Cream recipe, 2 Strawberries, and 2 Milk. The chest beside him contains 1 Melange Gel. North of the stairs you just climbed is the Inn, which also contains the Bookstall. You can explore more of the town if you like (there's some pretty scenery in it for you but not much else), then exit through the gate you came in through. On the world map, head east and then north to reach your next destination. Shoalhaven ............................................................................... Talking to the NPC's here is really depressing. A little boy near the docks to the north will give you 1 Life Bottle (he actually says, "I won't be needing this," which is really disturbing when you think about the subtext). Citrine is here at the docks as well. There is a set of stairs to the left of the suicidal boy. Take them up to reach a chest with 4 Rice Flour inside. Now take the stairs on the opposite side, near Citrine. You'll find Wonder Chef here disquised as a stack of plates. He'll give you the Potato Salad recipe, 2 Potatoes, 2 Onion, 2 Carrots, and 1 Lettuce. Talk to the NPC with the yellow mark above his head. You can't complete his quest until very late in the game, but you might as well talk to him to get this step done. Now go back to the docks and talk to the man near the boat to catch a ride to the center island. Start by walking all the way left and going up a couple of ramps to get to the "outer ring" area that circles the island. The various shops and services are up here, so get what you need. On the right side of this outer ring, just past the Item shop (going right), you'll see a woman in a blue dress. Talk to her for a free Chocolate. A cat blocks your path going north from here, so go back around the other way (back past the Inn and such) going north to trigger a scene. Talk to Tourmaline again and she'll give you 1 Melange Gel. Now go to the house she pointed you to earlier and go inside. After a scene, you can perform a Spiria Link with Mr. Smithson, but before you do, go left and south to find a chest with 1300 Gald inside. In the same spot on the right side of the room is a chest with 1 Namcoin inside. Now go back to Mr. Smithson and do the Spiria Link. No maze or boss fight this time. You just fight one easy battle against generic enemies and then you'll be back outside. After the quick scene, Beryl will earn the "Enlightened" title. Now go back to where you first entered the town and go a little north to find another guy next to a boat that can take you to Villa Isle. Go there and follow the path until you trigger a scene. Go forward again for another scene, then you can initiate the Spiria Link with Cassiter. Like before, there's no maze or boss fight, just an easy battle and a scene. Before leaving Villa Isle, go inside the large house here, then go upstairs and left through a door leading out onto a balcony, where you can grab the chest containing 1 Aqua Cape. Ride the boat back to the central island, then the other boat back to the docks. Exit onto the world map. If you look to your right, you'll see a bridge nearby. Cross it then head west to reach the Watergate. Odette Watergate ............................................................................... Run forward and cross the bridge leading to the right. Go north to grab the chest containing 1 Namcoin and go back across the bridge. Go further norty and start up the steps here to trigger a scene, during which Ines will earn the "HERcules" title. Now you can initiate the Spiria Link with Tourmaline. *Tourmaline's Spriria Link* Follow the path until you get to a section that splits into several different paths. Take the bottom left path first to reach a chest containing 500 Gald. Now go back and take the top left path to reach a chest with 2 Apple Gel in it. Now go back and head toward the top right path. You'll see a very short path leading right to a chest with 2 Orange Gel in it. Now continue following the north right path until you reach the green teleporter. In this second area, follow the linear path to a different kind of teleporter. The path here almost immediately splits, so take the left path to a chesting containing 1000 Gald. Now go back and take the right path. Follow this path until you get to a fork. Take the right path and step on the teleporter, which will lead you to a chest containing 1 Rabbit's Foot. Take the teleporter back to the previous area and go back to the fork. This time take the other path to reach another teleporter. Follow this path straight past the branching path to the right and hit the chest containing 1 Melange Gel. Now go back and take that branching path to reach a green teleporter. At the fork, go straight right to reach a chest containing 800 Gald. Go back and take the north path you just passed. At the next fork, go right and follow the path south to reach a chest containing 1 White Blouse. Go back to the previous fork and go north to reach another fork. Go straight to reach a chest with 1 Savory in it. Go back to the fork and take the southern path. You'll reach yet ANOTHER fork, so go straight left to reach a chest with 2 Life Bottles in it. Go back to the previous fork and take the southern path to reach another green teleporter (be sure to save at the Save Point that's almost hidden in the corner just before the teleporter). From here, follow the short path to reach a scene and a boss fight. Boss Fight: Slinking Dahlia ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This boss will be joined by 2 Bouquets so I suggest getting rid of them first. The boss will sometimes spew out poison to the surrounding area, so equipping Poison Wards or coming with a good stock of Poison Bottles is a good idea. Other than that, it's not much of a challenge. Just hammer it with your artes and it will go down fast. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Durring the following scene, you'll acquire Kohaku's Shard of Sorrow. Now you need to head back to Shoalhaven. When you get there, ride the boat to Villa Isle again and follow the path toward the house until you get a scene. After this you'll be back on the world map, but feel free to go back into town to stock up on supplies or use the Inn. When you're ready, head directly east on the world map. I suggest grabbing the item search point to your right (near a small lake on your way), as it has a Sage. After crossing a bridge, your next destination will be in plain view. Lion Park ............................................................................... This town is fairly convenient in that all of the services and shops are neatly arranged in the town square as soon as you enter. Buy/do what you need, but be sure to head to the shop with the pink roof on the left side. Talking to the owner here gets you a free Syrup Bottle. Head up the steps to the north and search behind the balloons and bunny head on the left to find Wonder Chef. He'll give you the Chicken on Rice recipe, 2 Rice, 2 Chicken, and 1 Carrots. To the right of the balloons, you can go north under a bridge to another area of town. Follow this path to the right and talk to the man on the bench. Answer his question with "Yes" to get a free 500 Gald. South of this, you can speak to the woman running what looks like a shop with a dark blue roof to ride the Ferris Wheel (you can choose who to ride with and it's free, so why not? Doing so increases the Somatic bonds between Kor and whoever he rides with). Up the steps north of the man on the bench, you can ride the teacups with one of your party members if you want. Go back to where you found Wonder Chef and take the steps on the left up to the next level. You'll find the Inn on the right, so go inside and up the steps, past the front desk, and into the elevator on the right. On the next floor, go left and up into the room, then through the glass door to reach the balcony, where you can grab a chest with 1549 Gald inside. Make Gall your onscreen character and talk to the maid in the dining area of the Inn with a question mark over her head to receive the Bunny Ears attachment. Now equip them on Gall and speak to her again to earn Gall's "Becoming Bunny" title. Now that we're done exploring, it's time to go to the Arena! Go back to where you found Wonder Chef and go up that norther path to the right (that goes under a bridge) again. Up here, enter the first building you come to, which is the Arena. On the left side, to the north, you can talk to the man standing next to the door to play the Balloon Popping game. On the right side of the room, to the south, you'll find a woman in a maid outfit who will heal you for 1000 Gald (it's cheaper to just sleep in the Inn). South of her you'll find a chest with 1 Namcoin inside. Go up the steps to the right here to enter the Arena proper. After the scene, go back to the previous room for another scene. After this, go to the right side of the room again and speak to the woman to the north, behind the desk, to sign up to fight in the Arena. You can choose to enter with Gall, Beryl, or Ines. I chose Ines myself, but it's up to you. You'll face two battles here with monsters that are easy to beat (they're more like random encounters, really), then get another scene. After it's over, examine the rose Amethyst threw to acquire 1 Rose Fascinator. Now exit back onto the world map and if you turn your camera toward the east, you'll be able to clearly see High Tower. If you want to grab another costume real quick, go to the beach directly east of Lion Park. Enter the beach and you'll trigger a scene, during which you'll acquire Beryl's "Sportswear" costume. Now head to High Tower. High Tower ............................................................................... Once you enter here, there will be a scene and then you'll be inside the tower. Go left and grab the chest containing 2 Apple Gels, then go right and grab the chest containing 2 Orange Gels. Now go north and you'll see two ladders leading up. Climb either one and go either left or right (both circle around to the same bridge). Once on the bridge, go north and then at the fork, go right to hit the chest containing 2 Life Bottles. Now return to the fork and go left this time to reach a new area. In this area you'll find a puzzle. Go forward under the bridge, across the wooden squares, and you'll see two square panels on the north wall. Examine both of them to make them turn and form panels you can walk on when you climb the ladder. Now climb that ladder and go up either set of stairs leading north. On the north wall, to the left of the ladder going up, you can examine the square panel to turn it. Before climbing the ladder, go right and examine the panel there to turn it as well. Now climb that ladder and go right, following the path until you reach the chest you probably saw above you earlier. It contains a Feathered Turban. Go back a little and you'll see a ladder on the right going up. Climb it and follow the path to a chest containing 1 Melange Gel. Go back down the ladder you just climbed. Now go back to that last ladder you climbed up and go left, hitting the square panel here to turn it so you can walk across. After you get to the next area, go north and go up the ramp to hit the square panel here. Follow the path and hit the next square panel to reach a chest containing 1 Wind Cape. Now examine this same square panel until it turns to allow you access to the steps leading down here. Go down the steps and grab the nearby chest for 2 Orange Gels. Now, to grab the chest that's visible to you here is a bit tricky, but it contains a Namcoin, so it's worth it. Go back to the bottom of the steps you just took down and go down by turning the panel to the south. Now, do NOT touch the panel directly south, but instead go LEFT and circle around back to the panel I told you not to touch. Now you can turn it, which will allow you access to the chest. Now you can turn the panel to the right of you twice to open the path north and right to reach the Save Point. Be sure to save! Now exit to the right for a scene and a boss fight. Boss Fight: Amethyst ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Amethyst can be annoying because he's fast and tends to zip around the battle field a lot. He has a fairly dangerous attack that involves him spinning around and using his whip to hit all nearby party members. Try to guard against it. He's not all that difficult as long as you keep hammering him. He floats into the air sometimes, so it's a good time to use your aerial artes (Rising Star is great when he's floating). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After the battle you'll get a scene during which you acquire Kohaku's Shard of Courage. You can now use Kohaku in your party. Ines also earns the "Flat Broke" title and Kohaku earns the "Stout-Hearted" title. You'll also earn the "Lucky Lady" title for Beryl. When all is said and done, you'll be back in Lion Park. Head to the Inn and to the front desk to get a room. After the brief scene, head back to the Arena and go to the right side and through the door here to get a scene, during which you'll get the "Canvas Attacker" title for Beryl. Now it's time for another fight, but you'll get a chance to edit your party/skills/soma/etc. before the battle starts. You'll be fighting a "Xeromized Soldier", but he's super weak (too weak for me to consider him a boss). After this more scenes and now you'll get invited to use an airship. Go up to the highest point in town (run past the ferris wheel and keep going until you hit the top). You can talk to an old man here with a question mark above his head. Just answer his questions with what you think he would most want you to say and he'll give you a free Chamomile for "indulging him". Now talk to Amethyst to board the airship. After a lengthy scene, you'll automatically be at your next destination. Lignatore Garrison ............................................................................... As soon as you have control of Kor, walk forward and examine what looks like some kind of life-size doll to trigger a scene. After this, you'll be outside the room. Save at the nearby Save Point. The soldier standing near the door you just came through will sell you items and armor. Now go south/right and onto the metal bridge. Take the first right you can and enter the room here to find a chest containing 1 Feather Robe. Go back to the door you came out of (between the Save Point and the shop), and go down the nearby stairs. At the bottom, head right across the metal bridge to reach a chest with 2500 Gald in it. No go back to the bottom of the stairs and go left, then south into a new room. Here, exit through the door on the left side and follow the path until you reach a chest that contains 1 Pineapple Gel. You can hit the blue crystal thing here with the Sorcerer's Ring to lower a bridge and make a shortcut to a Save Point. Now go back the way you came and when you get to the room with the big crystal/computer thing in the center, to north. This room contains a puzzle to solve in order to move forward. You can solve the puzzle four different ways to get all the items. To start each puzzle, examine the shiny spots on the walls and then shoot them with the Sorcerer's Ring. The basic puzzle layout is made up of sixteen tiles, laid out like this: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 To solve the puzzle on the right, step on the tiles in this order: 8, 7, 11, 12, 15, 14, 10, 6, 2, 3, 5, 9. If you can't step directly from one tile to the next in the order I specified, you must step off the puzzle and walk around to it. Solving the right puzzle will open a door to a chest containing 1 Earth Cape. To solve the puzzle on the left, step on the tiles in this order: 14, 8, 7, 8. Solving the left puzzle will open a door to a chest containing 1 Knight Guard. To solve the Center puzzle, step on the tiles in this order: 2, 9, 1, 14, 12, 16. Solving the center puzzle will open a door to a chest containing 1 Spirit Symbol. It will also automatically start the final puzzle to move on. To solve the final puzzle, step on the tiles in this order: 15, 12, 5, 6, 7, 6, 5, 1, 2, 3, 4. Solving the final puzzle will open the door at the top of the steps, so proceed to get a scene. After this you'll have to fight three Xeromized Soldiers. They're just as weak as the first one you fought. After the following scene, go up the steps to the north and to the left to grab a chest with 1 Lemon Gel inside, then to the right side of this little space to get a chest with 1 Pineapple Gel in it. Exit this room to the south to trigger more scenes, then exit this room to the left. Note that from this point on, you'll be fighting groups of Xeromized Soldiers as random battles. It's not a big deal, but they're a little tougher than the random battles you've dealth with so far.
Note: You might have spotted some chests and areas you couldn't get to. Don't 
worry. You can't access them at this point in the game, but we'll be back for 
them later. 

Remember that shortcut we made to the Save Point? Go back there and be sure to
use that Save Point! Now go left from the Save Point and ride the lift up. Head
right a few steps to trigger a boss fight.

Boss Fight: Kornerupine
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is one of the more difficult boss fights so far. Kornerupine likes to 
hammer you with combos, and he often uses a move where he basically charges at
you like a football player and hits everything in his path repeatedly. Block 
this or free run away to avoid it. When he goes into Spiria Drive mode, free 
run around the field to avoid him. The best way to deal with him, for me, was 
to let your party members corner him and then rush in and bash him with 
everything you have. I had two party members with healing artes (Hisui and 
Kohaku), so they kept everyone's HP fairly healthy, so it might be a good idea 
to bring them.

Once the following scenes are over, you'll be back on the world map. Head 
straight west toward a forest fight in the middle of your path to reach your 
next destination.

Douze Mois Way
...............................................................................

When you have control, speak to the man on the left and he'll give you 1 
Paralysis Bottle for free. Talk to Cinnabar (love her name!) and she'll give 
you 1 Glasses. Talk to Aubert if you need to buy anything. He sells armor as 
well as items and groceries. It'd probably be a good idea to pick up a few more
Paralysis Bottles. 

Save at the Save Point and talk to Aubert and tell him you're ready to go. 
After the scene, Kunzite joins your party. Once you have control again, go left
and use the Sorcerer's Ring to burn the logs in your way and get the chest 
containing 1 Shock Ward. Now go north to trigger another scene during which the
Sorcerer's Ring gains a new ability. You can now use the L button to switch 
between the abilities or touch the icon in the top left corner. 

Continue north across the bridge and head left as soon as you can. Take out the
crystal with the ring and then switch to the fire ability to burn away the logs
in your path so you can reach the chest with 3 Paralysis Bottles inside. Go 
back to where the path split and continue north. 

At the top of the hill, examine the "mysterious object" and then go left across
the bridge. Follow the path until you trigger a scene, during which Kunzite 
will earn the "Unfeeling Machine" title. After this, go north and left a bit to
the pile of logs you see and burn them with the ring to get a chest containing
a monster that will give you a lot of Exp and Gald. You'll also get 1 Green 
Beret for defeating it.

Now continue on the path you were on and destroy the crystal on your left with
the ring. Follow the path beyond the crystal until you get to an open area 
where you can go left or right across a bridge. Before doing either, you should
see a purple-colored crystal to your immediate right. Destroy it with the ring.
 

Cross the bridge and grab the chest to get 1 Pineapple Gel. As soon as you grab
the chest, go back across the bridge and to the left. At the end of this path 
you'll find another purple-colored crystal. Destroy it with the ring and go 
back across the bridge where you found the chest. Continue along this path 
until you see another purple crystal on the right.Destroy it as well and the 
barrier around the last purple crystal will disappear. Now you can destroy this
final crystal and continue to the next screen. Here, take the southern path to
exit onto the world map. You'll get some dialogue telling you to head northwest
to Straga but you don't really need it since you can clearly see it from here.
Go there now.

Straga (Second Visit)
...............................................................................

Once you enter the town, you'll see a scene during which Kunzite gets the 
"Synthetic Spiria" title. Once you have control, you can initiate a Spiria Link
with Chalcedony, but if you're low on HP and SP, you can step into the nearby 
Inn and rest (when I did, I got a skit). Also consider saving at the Save Point
in the Inn. When you're ready, initiate the Spiria Link.

*Chalcedony's Spiria Link*

You'll get some dialogue here during which Gall earns the "Silver-Tongued" 
title. 

This Spiria Link is fairly annoying because it has more branching paths and 
portals than usual. Start by going north up the ramp and following that path to
a chest containing 2 Apple Gels. Go back to where the path split and go south 
this time (if you use the portal at the end of the path on the right, it will 
just take you to that chest that had the Apple Gels in it). The path will split
again. Take the path on the right, then go south at the next fork to grab a 
chest with 2 Melange Gels inside. Do NOT take the portal north of the chest. It
just takes you back to that first chest. Instead, go back to where the path 
previously split and take the south path. Step on the portal. This takes you to
a small area with a chest containing 2 Sacrosanct Bottles. Use the portal to 
go back to the previous area and take the northern path this time, using the 
portal on the left when you reach the end.

Follow the linear path and step on the green portal. Follow this path until it
splits. Go south/right to reach a chest containing 2 Orange Gels. Now go 
north/left and use the portal at the end. From here, go straight (past the path
branching right) and follow the path to the end. You'll find a chest here with
3 Life Bottles inside. Now go back and take that path you just passed and use 
the portal. 

Run past the branching path and use the portal at the end. When the path splits
here, go all the way to the left to find a chest with a Poison Charm inside. Go
back to where the path split and take the north path, using the portal at the 
end. You'll see a Save Point here, so be sure to use it! Now step on the green
teleporter to reach the boss. 

Boss Fight: Pyrox
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pyrox has a nasty habit of targeting your casters. You'd be wise to bring at 
least two close range fighters (I used Kor and Kunzite, but Ines would be a 
good choice as well) so you can team up and hammer him to keep him away from 
your healer. He also uses a lot of long ranged attacks, so stay close to him as
much as you can. He's surprisingly fast too. Overall, he's not too difficult 
(I thought the previous boss fight was a little harder).

In the following scene, you'll acquire Kohaku's Shard of Anger. 

After some more scenes, you'll finally get control again. Despite being wanted
fugitives, you're free to wander around the town and stock up on supplies or 
use the Inn. Now go back to where you first met Garnet the last time you were 
here (take a left past the shops, in case you can't remember). This will 
trigger another scene. Now head west to the Army Headquarters and toward the 
main entrance. Once you go inside, you'll see more scenes and then you'll 
automatically be in the next area.

Straga Sewers
...............................................................................

Save at the nearby Save Point and jump down the ladder to the south. There's a
dude hanging out here who will sell you items/armor. Buy what you need and head
north to grab a chest containing 2 Holy Bottles. Now go back the way you came 
and run left, past the shop, and to the next screen. As soon as you can, go 
south all the way until you get to another new screen. You'll get a short scene
here explaining how to adjust the water flow. 

Run to the other side of this bridge and exit to the right. You'll see a chest
here you can grab for 2750 Gald. Now go all the way back left, back across the
bridge, and keep going left until you see some stairs leading down. Go down 
them and then up the next set of steps. At the top, exit north. Cross the 
bridge here and exit north. On the next screen, follow this path to the right 
and north to grab a chest containing 1 Blue Ribbon. Now go back to the bridge 
and stand on it to adjust the water flow with your Sorcerer's Ring (you have to
use the red/fire version). Now take that path leading right just after the 
bridge. 

Follow this linear path all the way until you reach a ladder you can jump down.
Now keep going along this path and you'll hit a Save Point (be sure to save!).
Now exit to the left to leave the sewers and trigger more scenes and a boss 
fight. You'll get the chance to edit your party/skills/whatever before it 
starts though. 

Boss Fight: Kunzite
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For me, this was the most difficult boss fight so far. Kunzite is tough and he
guards a lot, plus he has a lot of powerful moves and combos. On the bright 
side, he's weak to light element, so if you have artes/weapons of that element,
spam them. Kor's Solar Flare is a good choice, as it's Light-based and you can 
use it from a distance. If your HP starts dropping too fast for your healer to
keep up, start using items (they're quicker) and free run away from Kunzite 
between item uses. Alternately, bringing both Hisui and Kohaku might make it 
easier to keep everyone healed.

During the following scene, Hisui will earn the "Slow Learner" title and 
Kunzite will earn the "Graceless Guardian" title. Now follow the path up the 
hill and exit onto the world map. From here, head back east, going past 
Shoalhaven, and then north. The path you take will be going north between where
Shoalhaven and Lion Park are (use your map to see what I mean). 

Be sure to stop at the little house before you enter the desert proper. 
You'll find 1 Namcoin here, as well as much needed healing Save Point. Once 
you're finished here, keep going in the direction you were heading to find 
Schehera Desert. 

Schehera Desert
...............................................................................

After the scene, you can restock on items/armor by talking to the wandering 
merchant here. On the left, you can talk to another man here to get a free 
Stone Bottle. When you're ready, head nortwest into the desert. 

Run forward a few steps to trigger another scene. After this you'll be stuck 
with using only Kor and Kohaku for a while. Proceed along the path in front of
you and grab the chest that you see beside the large rock on the right to get 1
Orange Ribbon. Go north and you'll get another scene. Uh oh, now it's just Kor
on his own. Proceed west for a scene and you'll get Kohaku back in the party. 
After some more scenes, you'll be in a new area. Grab the chest on the left for
3 Stone Bottles. From here, go north a bit and up a small slope to the right.
Run north under a small sand bridge and grab a chest containing 1 Stone Ward. 
Go back down the slop and farther north. 

You'll get a brief scene here. Choose the second option to proceed. Note that 
shooting every brown cactus you see with the blue Sorcerer's Ring ability will
give you many different items. I'm not going to list them all, but be aware of
them.

On the right, you'll see another slope going up. Take it and head right for a 
chest containing 1 Brigandine. As you come back down the slope, you should see
a sand worm poking up out of a sinkhole. Walk into it for a battle, after which
you'll receive a Pineapple Gel. Head north to the next sinkhole sandworm and 
fight it to receive 2 Syrup Bottles. 

There's a river of sand blocking your way forward, so run all the way to the 
right to find a stone bridge you can cross to get to the other side. The nearby
sinkhole sandworm gives your 1 Treat for winning the battle. Go up the wooden 
plank north of this to get to a chest containing 3 Life Bottles. Now use the 
blue Sorcerer's Ring ability to shoot the cactus to the left to get 1 Elixir 
and continue to the left. Go down the steps to the south here and to the left
to grab the chest containing 1 Namcoin. The sinkhole sandworm directly below
this chest will give you 2 Lemon Gels for winning. When you're dong collecting
treasure, go north to reach the next screen. 

From here, head to the left and then make your way north (ignore the stone 
construct in front of you; you can't do anything with it for now). Be sure to 
save at the Save Point, and then continue north. Just past the Save Point, 
you'll trigger another scene and get the rest of your party back. You'll get a
chance to edit your party/skills/strategy/etc. before the boss fight, so do 
what you need to do, then approach the giant sandworm.

Boss Fight: Giant Sandworm
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This was one of the easier boss fights, in my opinion. First of all, ignore the
tiny sandworms as they will continuously spawn. Adjust your strategy settings 
to have everyone target the same enemy so your party members won't busy 
themselves with the tiny sandworms. The giant Sandworm is weak to water 
attacks, so Beryl's Spread works great here, as well as any other water-based 
attacks you might have. Otherwise, just surround it and hammer it for an easy 
win.

During the resulting scene, you'll acquire Kohaku's Shard of Joy. Go ahead and 
use the Save Point nearby to heal up, then exit to the north. You'll get a 
scene here and Kor will earn the "Somatic Bondsman" title, plus Kohaku will 
earn the "Somatic Bondswoman" title. 

Now you'll be in a small oasis area. To the bottom left of this area, you'll 
see a man with a suspiciously large chef hat on. It's Wonder Chef, of course. 
He'll give you the Vegetable Stir-Fry recipe, 2 Cabbage, 1 Onion, 2 Carrots, 
and 1 Pork. There's a chest here on the left that contains 1 Namcoin. You can 
use the shop or the Inn (though you don't need the Inn if you used the healing
Save Point one screen back) if you want. If you talk to the guy near the Inn 
with the question mark over his head, you can initiate a Spiria Link with him.
Do so to hear a riddle about where some buried treasure is. 

When you're ready to leave, exit to the northwest to be back on the world map.
Directly north from here is your next destination. Keep an eye out for an item
searchpoint on the right, as it contains 1 Namcoin. 

Prinseur
...............................................................................

Almost as soon as you enter the town, you'll have to fight a new type of 
Xeromized Soliders (called Xeromized Berserkers). They're a bit tougher than 
the first kind, but still not a big deal. After the battle, run forward to 
trigger more scenes, during which Ines will earn the "Method Actress" title. 

When you get control again, go up either set of steps here to reach all the 
shops. If you talk to the guy beind the stand on the left, he'll give you a 
free Carrot. Just below him, you can talk to an elderly lady to receive a free
Mind Ring. The Inn is to the north. 

Now take the far east path and keep going until you get a scene. Beryl will 
earn the "Easy Mark" title. Exit this building and if you go all the way to the
right, you can find Citrine standing around. Now go back to where the orphanage
was and go left. Follow this path left until you can go south onto a dirt road.
Follow that path left and south until you reach a beach area. Here, on the 
left, you can find a chest with 1 Namcoin inside. Go back up to the stone path
you were on before and keep going left until you reach the Cathedral.

Prinseur Sanctorum Cathedral
...............................................................................

Start by going through the door on the far right. Go up the first set of stairs
here and grab the chest containing 1 Chamomile. Go back down and flip the 
switch between the two sets of stairs. Now go up the stairs on the right. Flip
the switch here and go back down the stairs and up the first set of steps 
again. Go north up two more sets of steps to reach a chest containing 4400 
Gald. Now go north to the next screen and you can grab the chest with a Holy 
Symbol in it. You can't do anything else in this screen for now, so go back 
south to the previous screen. Go down one set of stairs and flip the switch to
the right. 

Now go back to the bottom floor and flip the switch between the stairs again. 
Now go up the stairs on the right again and hit the switch here again. Go up 
the next two sets of stairs and examine the stone podium thing with a yellow 
figurine on top. You'll acquire the Yellow Winged Whale. Now go all the way 
back down to the bottom level. Go right and climb the spiral staircase, then go
left and through the door. Go left here to find a chest with a White Ribbon 
inside. Keep going left here and down another spiral staircase to find another
area just like the one you just completed on the right. 

Start by hitting the switch between the stairs and going up two sets of stairs 
on the left to reach a chest with 3 Holy Bottles inside. Go back down one set 
of stairs and hit the switch here. Now go back to the bottom and hit the switch
between the stairs again, then go up three sets of stairs on the right and exit
north to another screen. Grab the chest here for 1 Mind Ring, then grab the 
Blue Winged Whale from the stone podium to the north. Exit south the previous 
screen.

Go down one set of stairs and flip the switch here. Go to the bottom floor and 
hit the switch between the stairs and then head up the left stairs again. Hit 
the switch here and continue climbing the steps until you reach the top. Grab 
the Red Winged Whale from the podium and go all the way back down to the bottom
floor. Exit to the right to find yourself back in the very first area. 

Enter the top left room and take the Green Winged Whale from the podium and run
up either set of steps to reach a huge piano. Examine it to place the Whale 
figures in the slots in this order: Red, Green, Yellow, Blue. Now you can exit
this room and head back to the room on the far right. 

Remember that room at the top, where you found the Holy Symbol? You need to go
back there, so climb the right steps, hit the switch, go back down, hit the 
bottom switch, climb the left steps, and hit the switch there to open up the 
path. Exit north and go left as soon as you can and through the now open door.
Head left and grab the Namcoin from the chest, then right to grab 3 Life 
Bottles from another chest. Save at the Save Point and exit north.

Boss Fight: Chalcedony, Pyrox, and Peridot
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is probably the toughest boss fight yet, since you have to deal with all 
three of these guys at once. I brought both Kohaku and Hisui for the extra 
healing, and Ines to help Kor pound away on the bosses, but use whatever 
strategy has been working for you (switching out Kohaku in favor of Beryl 
would help you dish out more damage, for example). As for the fight itself, set
everyone's strategy to attack the same enemy, then focus on Peridot first. She
tends to target your healers and she has some annoying artes, plus she's the 
easiest to take out, so get rid of her as fast as you can. Next take out Pyrox
so you don't have to deal with his ranged attacks. Once you get rid of him, the
battle gets a lot easier because you can surround Chal and hammer him with 
combos.

During the resulting scenes, you'll acquire Kohaku's Shard of Dreams. 

Now you need to exit the Cathedral, so just retrace your steps until you're 
back out into the town. You can restock on items or use the Inn if you like, 
then try to exit the town. After the scene, head for the orphanage. You'll have
an easy fight against Xeromized Soldiers, then you'll have control again. Talk
to Peridot to get a free Holy Bottle, then head left one screen. Remember the 
beach area where we found the Namcoin? Go there.

After the scenes, talk to the children and then you'll have more scenes. At 
this point you will be informed that everyone can access Spiria Drive level 
three. You'll also be taught how to use Mystic Artes. Now you'll be back on the
world map. Begin heading west, but look for a gap between hills to your right. 
There's an item search point with a Namcoin there. Continue west all the way 
until you reach your next destination.

Marquise Westport
...............................................................................

When you enter here, you can speak to the man to your immediate left if you 
need to stock up on more supplies. There's a Save Point here as well as a lady
with a question mark over her head on the left side of this area that you can 
play a mini-game (Game of Rocks) with. There are also two storage buildings 
here. The one of the left has a chest containing 1 Namcoin and the one on the 
right has a chest containing 3 Tuna. 

Head toward the boat to trigger a scene, then go back to the warehouse on the 
right and speak to the man here. Now run back to the ship for more scenes and 
you'll fight a new kind of Xeromized Soldiers. Treat this like all the other 
Xeromized battles you've had so far. There will be more scenes, then a boss 
fight.

Boss Fight: Ines
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ines can be a tough cookie. She'll probably use her Mystic Arte, which will 
more than likely kill whoever it hits, so have a few Life Bottles handy. She's
weak to lightning, so Kor's Blue Jet arte is handy here. There's only one of 
her, so it's not too hard to surround her and hit her with combos. Bring at 
least one healer (I brought Chal) and you should be fine.

In the resulting scenes, Ines earns the "Spec Ops Major" title as well as the 
"Somatic Bondswoman" title. When you have control, I suggest running back to 
the Save Point for some free healing. Now talk the woman beside the ship to 
head out. After reaching the next port, simply exit left to the world map. Now
head north toward Hanselar. 

Hanselar (Second Visit)
...............................................................................

There's a woman near the armor shop with a question mark over hear head that 
you can talk to about dinner. She'll give you a free Saffron. You can talk to 
the man in front of one of the warehouses with a question mark over his head. 
Agree to help him and you'll get a scene, during which you'll get 2000 Gald and
Gall will earn the "Chaperone" title. Now head on into the Guildmaster's Hall 
and go talk to the Guildmaster upstairs. 

Now exit back onto the world map and go back to the port. Head toward the boat
for a scene, then talk to Aqua to board the ship. During the next scene, Gall 
will earn the "Gullible Geezer" title. After the scenes are over, you'll 
automatically be in Lignatore Garrison.

Lignatore Garrison (Second Visit)
...............................................................................

Use the Save Point nearby then step on the lift to the north. Exit this area 
south and then enter what looks like a cave entrance on the left side of this 
room. You'll be back in an area you were in the first time, but couldn't reach.
Shoot the crystal with the Sorcerer's Ring and run across the bridge. Head 
north to grab a chest containining 3 Melange Gels. Use the ring to lower the 
nearby bridge to create a shortcut in case you need it later, then go back 
across the first bridge you lowered and exit right, back to the previous 
screen. Exit to the right again and you'll be back in a hallway. Instead of 
going north, go directly to the right and you'll find a chest here. It's 
actually a monster, but you get a lot of Exp and Gald for defeating it, plus 
a Red Savory, so it's worth it (plus it's easy to beat). 

Now go north as far as you go, and you'll find yourself in a new area. Go all 
the way to the right here to find a chest containing 1 Specific. Exit this area
north to be back in the previous screen. Go south and step on the lift in the 
middle of the floor that you rode to get here. Ride it back down to the room 
you started in. Be sure to hit the healing Save Point. 

Now ride the lift on the bottom left. In the back right corner of this room is
a chest with 2 Lemon Gels inside. Ride the lift back up and take the one on the
right. Exit through the door on the right. Run straight across the hall to 
enter the door on the right. In here you will find a chest with 1 Green Ribbon
inside. Leave this room and exit this hallway to the south. Go south here, down
a slope, and into what looks like another cave entrance. In here, run to the 
nearest blue crystal (on the left side of the room) and shoot it with the
Sorcerer's Ring (make sure you switch to the fire-based ability). Run across 
the newly formed bridge and go left to shoot the next crystal. Take this new 
bridge south to a chest containing 3 Orange Gels. Now take the north door to 
find a chest with 1 Laurel Crown inside. 

Exit this room and head all the way to the right. Go down the set of stairs 
here to reach a chest containing 2 Life Bottles. Now go up the stairs leading 
north and enter the door you find here. There will be a chest containing 1 
Wizard Hat. Exit this room and go right, then down a set of stairs here. Shoot
the crystal to form a bridge, then hit the next crystal to form another (the 
second one is just to make a shortcut). Now continue left down some stairs
and north into a hallway. You'll trigger a scene here, then you can initiate a
Spiria Link with Lapis. In the resulting scene Gall will earn the "Old Guy 
Unburdened" title. Now leave this room and exit the hallway to the north. 

In this next area, shoot the crystal on the right and head north across the 
bridge. Shoot the next one to create another shortcut, then head all the way 
north and down the stairs. From here, follow the path until you reach another 
crystal. Shoot it and continue across the bridge it formed. Take a right and 
head down the stairs. Run north, then run around the boxes (there is a path, 
just zigzag around them) to reach a chest containing 1 Miracle Gel.

Return to the stairs and go back up, then go left through the door. There's a 
guy here who will sell you armor and items, so stock up if you need to. Now go
left and attempt to enter the door to the north to trigger a scene. You'll have
to fight some Xeromized Special Ops soldiers, but they're not much tougher than
the regular ones, so it's no big deal. 

After the scene you'll be back in the hallway with the dude selling items. Go 
all the way left and enter the door to find a chest containing 1 Dark 
Willstone. Now leave this room. You're actually quite close to the healing Save
Point at the beginning, so if you want to use it, follow these directions (if 
you just want to continue without saving, skip to the next paragraph). Exit the
hallway to the right. Go back down the stairs to the right and head up to where
you went around the boxes to get the chest earlier. There's a lift here you 
need to ride up. Follow this path to exit south. Enter the door on the left and
ride the lift up.

Now go back to the room where you found Kohaku. Directly south of that room, 
there's a hard to spot exit, so take that to find yourself in a new area. You 
should see a small gray square on the right. It's a lift, so take it down. 
Examine the glowing spot here, then ride the lift back up. Now head to the 
right and go south, jumping down the ladder here. Run south and take the first
left you come to and you'll see a chest with 3000 Gald inside. Now go back to 
the path you were on and go straight south until you reach the bottom. Now 
examine the glowing spot here, which will cause a post behind you to raise. Hit
the post with your Sorcerer's Ring, then go left, up the slope. 

Hit the next post you come to with the ring, then to directly right, up the 
stairs. Shoot the post with the ring and grab the chest containing 2 Lemon 
Gels. Now go back down the slope to the bottom level again and go right, up the
other slope until you find another post to shoot. Now take the stairs on the 
left (the lower set) and shoot the post here. Return to the bottom level and 
you'll find that the left path going north is now open enough for you to grab 
the chest containing 1 Saffron. Shoot the post here as well. 

To the north, you can now reach the Save Point, so at least touch it to heal 
up. Take the lift to the left of the Save Point to go all the way back to the 
top. Shoot the post here to finally unlock access to the rest of the chests. 
Ride the lift on the left back down and grab the two chests, containing 1 Treat
and 1 Elixir respectively. Now save and head through the door to the north for
a scene and a boss fight.

Boss Fight: Silver
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Silver isn't so much harder than Ines before him. You can use a similar 
strategy here of ganging up on him with at least two close-range fighters and 
just piling on the combos. He has a weakness to light-based artes and weapons,
so keep that in mind. Kor's Krios weapon is a great choice here. Also be sure 
to turn off any dark-based artes if you're taking someone like Kunzite or Beryl
along.

After the pretty cool scene, you'll acquire Kohaku's Shard of Love and Kohaku 
will earn the "Whole-Hearted" title. More lengthy and even cooler scenes and 
you'll automatically be in your next destination.

Mysticete
...............................................................................

There's a Save Point in the bottom left area of this room (I'm sure you need 
one pretty badly about now). In the top left area of the room, you'll see two 
green and gold machines. These are actually shops, so stock up if you need to.
Exit south for a boss fight.

Boss Fight: Incarose 
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Like many of the previous bosses, she's weak to light-based attacks, so use the
same tactics you used to beat Silver. She might use her Mystic Arte, but it's 
not as much of a guaranteed kill as it was when you fought Ines. It hit my 
weakest party member, Beryl, and didn't kill her so you should be fine. A 
surprisingly easy boss fight.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

During the resulting scenes, Kor will earn the "Empty Vessel" title and your 
party will be split up. You'll be in a beachy area, so exit north. After a 
scene and a quick battle, exit to the world map. Your next destination is 
Hanselar, which will be clearly visible in front of you. As soon as you enter,
you'll trigger a scene. After it's over, talk to Ines and she'll give you 1 
Specific. Now leave Hanselar and head all the way south on the world map to 
reach Pendeloque Southport again. Here, talk to Aqua to sail out to a new 
continent. 

Port Trilliant
...............................................................................

There are two warehouses here, just like in the other ports you've been to. The
one on the left has a chest containing 1 Namcoin and the one on the right has a
chest containing 3 Mackerel. There's a merchant close to the left exit in case
you need items. Otherwise, exit left onto the world map. You should be able to
see a blue dot on your map to the northeast. This is your next destination, so
head there. 

Layve Village
...............................................................................

Citrine is in plain sight when you enter, so hand her your Namcoins if you 
wish. North of Citrine you'll see a large green vase wearing a chef hat. This 
is, of course, Wonder Chef. He'll give you the Seafood Spaghetti recipe, 2 
Shrimp, 2 Squid, and 1 Rice Flour. Directly to the left, you'll see a dog 
standing near a set of steps. Talk to it to receive 1 Namcoin. Head north from
the dog to reach the clearly visible chest containing 5300 Gald. 

Head right from where you found Wonder Chef, up a slope, and talk to the sheep
here to get a free Pineapple Gel. Use the shops if you need to, then head left
and enter the Inn for a scene, during which Chalcedony earns the "Insectophobe"
title. Now leave the Inn and head north, to the Clinic. Once the scene here is
over, you'll be outside the Clinic, but go back inside to grab the chest 
containing 2 Life Bottles. Now exit the Clinic and head west, following the 
path until you find the Old Man's Hut. Enter. 

Before initiating the Spiria Link, grab the chest in the top right corner for 1
Namcoin. Now initiate the link.

*Zirc's Spiria Link*

Follow the linear path to a portal and use it. From here, follow the path and 
head left at the fork. Use the portal here. Use the next portal, and from here,
run along the path and skip the first portal you come across and use the portal
at the end. From here, head right at the next fork and use the portal, then 
left at the next fork to grab a chest with 2 Pineapple Gels inside. Return to 
the fork and continue to the end of the path, using the portal at the end. From
here, head to the green teleporter. 

From here, the path will split several ways. Take the left path first to grab 
the chest with 1 Lemon Gel. Now take the northern path and follow it to a chest
containing 1 Stun Talisman. A portal will activate as you walk over it, but 
it'll just take you back to where the path split just after you used the green
teleporter. Now take the south path and go right when you can to reach a chest
containing 4200 Gald. Another portal will activate and send you back to the 
same spot as before. Take the south path again and this time follow it down a
slope and all the way to another portal. Use it, then use the green teleporter
in front of you.

From here, take the first right you come to and follow the path farther right 
to reach a chest containing 1 Red Lavender. A portal will automatically take 
you back to where you first stepped off the green teleporter. This time head 
north/left and take a left at the fork. At the next fork, head left and follow 
the path to a chest containing 1 Grape Gel. The portal will automatically take
you back to the beginning of this section again, so follow the path north 
again, then left at the fork and this time, go right at the second fork. At
the next fork, head right. You should see a green teleporter to the left/north.
Remember where this is, but don't go to it yet. Instead head right/south to a 
chest containing 1 Silver Mail. You'll be taken back to the beginning of this 
section again. Now head back to that green teleporter and use it. 

Follow this path to a Save Point. Head right past the Save Point and go north 
at the fork. Follow this path to a chest containing 1 Umbra Bottle. Now return
to the Save Point and take the path directly south of it. Follow this path down
and then left to find a chest with 4900 Gald in it. From this chest, head back
toward the Save Point, but take the first right you come to and follow that 
path to a green teleporter. 

You'll have a random encounter-type battle here, then some scenes, during which
Kor will earn the "Onward and Upward!" title and Kohaku will earn the "Hold My 
Hand" title. You'll also be notified that everyone can access Spiria Drive 
level 4. When all the scenes are done, exit the town and head back to Port 
Trilliant. Talk to Aqua to sail out again.

You'll get a scene while on the boat, during which Hisui will earn the 
"Deliverer" title. Afterwards, you'll end up back in Pendeloque Southport. Try
to exit to the left to trigger a scene, then you'll be in Obus Southport. Exit 
to the world map, then head for Straga, which is directly northeast. As soon as
you enter, you'll trigger a scene. After that, exit back to the world map and 
head northeast to Shoalhaven. Once inside the village, head north and talk to 
Cassiter and Alexandre. You'll end up back in the Straga Sewers.

Straga Sewers (Second Visit)
...............................................................................

There's a Save Point nearby, so use it if you want. There's also a merchant 
selling items and armor on the other side of the water. To reach him, just take
the north stairs and run across the walkway. 

Now, to continue on, exit south of the Save Point and follow this path until 
you reach a bridge where you can change the water flow. Run across the bridge 
(without changing the flow yet) and keep heading south. You'll come out in a 
bigger area. Take the first left you can and follow that path to a chest 
containing 2 Pineapple Gels. 

Go all the way back to the Save Point, then cross over to where the merchant is
and exit to the south. Follow this path until you reach the bridge where you 
can change the water flow. Don't change it, but run across and take the right 
path just after it. Follow this path to a chest containing 1 Poison Charm. Now
go back to where you crossed the bridge and keep going south. Here, take the 
first right you can and grab the chest containing 2 Melange Gels. 

Now go back to that bridge and change the water flow with the Sorcerer's Ring 
until the water is not being blocked at all and is flowing freely on both 
sides. Now take the right path just north of the bridge and follow this path 
through a few screens (going down a ladder and back up one in the process). 
When you finally reach a larger area, take the nearby ladder going up and then 
one more going up to exit the sewers. 

Take the stars on your left up to a chest containing 2 Life Bottles. Now exit 
this room to the south. You'll find yourself in a chapel-like room. To your 
left is a huge staircase, so take it up. Follow this path all the way across 
two walkways and to a chest containing 1 Sacrosanct Bottle. Now examine the
three boxes in front of the door for a scene. Kor will earn the "Comrade" 
title, as will Chalcedony. When you have control again, exit Straga and head 
south, back to Obus Southport. Once there, talk to Aqua to sail out. 

Marquise Northport
...............................................................................

You can talk to a little boy in the bottom left area to play Button Blitz. Just
attemping the game earns Kor the "Best Button Blitzer" title. It's an easy game
and winning will get you a free Melange Gel (I beat him several times and I got
the same prize each time, but it's convenient if you want to stock up on 
Melange Gels for free). Close to the left exit, there's a merchant if you need 
to buy some items. Beside the snow bunny, you can speak to the girl here to 
receive a free Weak Bottle. 

Like the other ports, there are two warehouse buildings. The one on the left 
has two chests, containing 1 Namcoin and 4 Shrimp, respectively. The one on the
right, unfortunately, has nothing. When you're finished here, exit left onto 
the world map. Head southeast, into a green area. You'll see an item search 
point on the right, which has a Namcoin. You'll find another Namcoin in the 
little house nearby. The entrance to your next destination is directly east 
from the little house (you'll see a red dot on your map). 

Mount Bremen
...............................................................................

After the scene, begin following the path up the mountain, but take the first 
right path you come to. Enter the small house here to find a chest containing 
6200 Gald. Talk to the man in here to receive a free Weak Bottle then exit the
house and return to the path leading north. At the fork, take the left path and
cross the bridge for a scene. Afterwards, head right and follow the path across
a bridge and to a new screen. From here, head north across the bridge and you 
will be stopped on the other side by lightning strikes. You can't go any 
farther for now, so head south back across the bridge and head right, then 
south. Keep going south until the lightning stops you again. Now go back north
a little and to the right, where you can jump off the cliff. 

After the first jump, you'll see a metal rod. Examine it to find out it's a 
lightning rod. Jump down one more cliff and head left, then south, and follow 
the path as it circles around to the right. You'll come across another 
lightning rod here, so activate it then keep going right. Lightning will 
strike, but it'll be diverted to the rod, which will cause the rod to turn red.
Now follow the path all the way to the end to reach a chest containing 1 Purple
Ribbon. Head back left and then north. Instead of going back to where you 
jumped off the cliffs, keep going north until lightning strikes again. This 
will cause it to hit that first rod you activated and turn it red. 

Now go back to where you jumped from the cliffs and head right, across a 
bridge, then jump off the nearby cliff on the right to reach a chest containing
2 Lemon Gels. Now jump off this cliff and follow the path up. Take a left when
the path splits and follow this path down to a lightning rod. Activate it then 
continue south until lightning strikes the rod and turns it red. Now go back to
where the path split and continue north. At the next split, go right, then 
immediately go left. At the end of this path you'll see a brief scene. Now head
right and enter the house. There's a chest here containing 1 Namcoin. Examine 
the glowing note on the table to find out how to activate the lift you just 
saw. Exit the house.

Head back to the path you were on before you examined the lift, and continue 
north until you hit a dead end. You can jump from a cliff here to reach a chest
with 1 Lightning Willstone inside. Now jump off this cliff and go right, where 
you'll find the last lightning rod. Activate it then head left, where lightning
will strike the rod and finally power the lift. Now keep going left and then 
south across a bridge. You'll be back in the area right before you found the 
first lightning rod. Jump off the cliffs to your right then head right across
the bridge and jump off the next two cliffs on the right. Now follow the 
winding path up and take the first right you come to, then immediately left and
south to the lift. Ride it down and save at the Save Point. Exit to the right 
to trigger a scene, during which Kunzite earns the "Contrite Mechaknight" and 
"Beauty's Bodyguard" titles. 

Boss Fight: Chlorseraph
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chlorseraph is very quick and he tends to hammer you with lots of fast hits. If
he traps you in a combo and begins juggling you, your HP will drop pretty fast,
so block and run away when necessary. He's not weak to any particular element 
but he is strong against dark-based attacks, so turn off any dark artes you 
might have. He's not particularly tougher or weaker than the last couple of 
bosses, so you shouldn't have much trouble.

After the battle, head left across the fallen tree trunk. If you want to heal 
up and save, go south and follow the path back to the Save Point (it's a short
path and worth it if you used up a lot of TP fighting Chlorseraph). When you're
ready to move on, head north from the tree trunk and follow the path until you
see a cliff on the southern edge that you can jump from. Jump down a few cliffs
here to reach a chest containing 1 Resist Bracelet. Jump down again and you'll 
be back on the path you were just on. Now follow it all the way north and exit 
onto the world map. Your next destination will be right in front of you.

Blanche Villa
...............................................................................

When you get control, you'll be in Beryl's house. You can speak to Lithia for 
an amusing scene, and there's a Save Point here as well. Now exit the house. 
Examine the sheep in Beryl's yard to find Wonder Chef. He'll give you the 
Shrimp Doria recipe, 2 Rice, 2 Shrimp, 1 Squid, and 1 Cheese. Head south to 
find the item and armor shops. Buy what you need and go right, where you'll 
find some cloud sheep. Speak to the first one you come to for a free Saffron. 
South from the shops, down a slope, you'll find a man who will give you 1 free
Miracle Gel for talking to him. Now go back to the shops and exit directly 
left. 

In here, go south at the fork and you'll be back outside. Citrine is here if 
you need to hand over some Namcoins. Go left and up a bit to find a cloud sheep
that will give you a free Savory for talking to it and a chest containing 1 
Namcoin. Go back inside and take the north path this time. Along the way you 
can grab a chest containing 8800 Gald. At the end of this path, you'll find 
yourself back outside again. Follow the path up the mountain for a scene, then
head back to Beryl's house. 

After the scenes, head back toward where you found Beryl earlier (enter the 
door to the north and go north at the fork). After the scene, head back into 
the door you just came from and follow the path until it forks, then take the 
right path to exit. Head right, to the stable of cloud sheep, and talk to Hisui
and Gall. Now all the way south, toward the town exit, and talk to Chalcedony.
Go back through that door left of the shops and go south at the fork. Out here,
go right and talk to Ines and Hisui. Now go left of the door you came out of 
and speak to Lithia. After this, go back to Beryl's house again and enter the 
door to the left of the stairs. Examine the painting to initiate a Spiria Link.

*Benston's Spiria Link*

This area is really annoying. Start by heading right, following the path, and 
taking the first branching right path you come to. Use the portal at the end of
this path, then the next portal. You'll find yourself in a cross-shaped area 
with four portals and a chest with 1 Red Saffron inside. Now take the portal on
the right. Follow this path to a chest with 2 Lemon Gels inside, then use the 
portal at the end. Follow this path all the way around and, instead of taking 
that branching right path, go straight and use the portal at the end. 

You'll be back at that cross-shaped area. This time take the left portal. Run 
forward and when the path splits, go south and use the portal. Follow this path
to a green teleporter and use it. From here, take the first right you can and 
use the portal in the top right corner. You'll be right next to a chest 
containing 5000 Gald. Head right and then north to a chest containing 2 
Pineapple Gels. To head back, you have to cross over a portal that will 
automatically take you back to the start of this section (near the chest that 
had 5000 Gald in it). Now go left and all the way south to a chest containing 
7200 Gald. 

As you head back, you'll automatically be taken back to the start again. This 
time go left and north. The portal will take you back to the start yet again, 
but doing so will turn the portal off, so now you can finally go left, north, 
and then left to the green teleporter. Follow this path and take the first left
you can. Keep going until a portal takes you back to the start of this section.
This time head straight north and use the portal there. From here, head north 
to trigger a scene. Now grab the chest on the right for 3 Melange Gels then 
head left until you reach a four-way split. 

Take the north path, then use the portal on the right. Now go left and take the
portal to your immediate south. This will take you back to the start of this 
area. Go left, then north to where you triggered the scene. Shoot the floating
purple crystal with the Sorcerer's Ring then head left. At the fork, go south 
until you hit an active portal and get sent back to the start again. Run back 
to the floating purple crystal (the one near where you triggered the scene) and
shoot it again. Now go left to the fork, then south, and take the first right
you come to. Use the portal here.

Now go south and shoot the crystal at the fork. Go back north and use the 
portal on the left. Go right until you trigger a portal that will take you back
to the start again. Go left a bit and shoot the first purple crystal you see. 
Now run on over to the next crystal (the one where you triggered the scene 
earlier) and shoot it too. Now go left to the four way split and then go all 
the way south to a chest containing 1 Stone Charm. As you step away from the 
chest, you'll be sent back to the beginning of this section again. Now run 
back to that purple crystal where you triggered the scene and shoot it again. 
Head left to the four-way split and take the left path, using the green 
teleporter. 

From here, run straight ahead until you can take a right, then use the portal 
here. Go right to step on the portal. It's inactive, so step off of it to the 
left, then back on to turn it on and be sent back to the beginning of this 
section. Now go left and then north until a portal sends you back. This time go
north and then left to shoot the purple crystal. Go directly right from here 
and use this portal again. Step to the right to be sent back to the start 
again. No north and shoot the purple crystal again, then right and use the 
portal. Take one step to the right to go back to the start yet again (I know 
this is getting old fast but there's a point to this I promise). This time go 
north and right to use this portal again. From here, step right and north to be
sent back again. Go north and right to use the portal again, then step to the
right to be sent back one more time. Go north and right to use the portal one 
final time. Now you can head north (finally!). At the fork, go left and follow
the path to a chest containing 1 Specific. 

Return to the fork and take the right path this time, straight to a portal (use
it). From here, follow the path and take a right when you can to grab the chest
containing 1 Treat. As you leave from the chest, you'll be ported back to the 
start of this section. Don't worry, it won't be as complicated as before. Run 
north and shoot the crystal, then go right to use the portal. Now head north, 
then right to use the portal. From here, follow the path, this time ignoring 
the right branch that led to the chest, and use the portal at the end. 

In this next section you'll find a puzzle. The idea is to make a path for 
yourself on unlit portals by shooting the crystals. It's not too complicated, 
so you shoudn't have much trouble. When you get through, you can take the right
branching path for a chest with a Rune Robe inside. When you leave the chest, 
you'll be taken back to the start of the puzzle. Make your way back through it,
thensave at the Save Point before using the green teleporter. 

Boss Fight: Cloying Dianthus
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Take out the weak lackeys first, then deal with the boss. It's weak to 
earth-based attacks, so bring any of those you might have. Beryl's Stalagmite 
spell works wonders here. Beyond that, there's not much to say. It's a pretty 
easy fight.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the resulting scene, Kohaku will earn the "Beryl's Bestie" title and Beryl 
will earn the "Kohaku's Bestie" title. Chalcedony will also earn the "Cold 
Fish" title, then Beryl will earn the "Somatic Bondswoman" title. 

After the scenes you'll be on the world map. Go back into Blanche Villa and as
you walk around, you'll trigger several scenes. If you speak to a lady near 
where Beryl ran off to hide earlier (the little building on the way up to the 
mountain top), she'll give you a free Peach Gel. At the very top of the 
mountain, you'll get a quick scene and you can initiate a Spiria Link with 
Aragon. No maze or battles, just a scene, during which Beryl will earn the
"Star Pupil" title. 

During some of the scenes you'll get as you walk around, Beryl's pet sheep will
run away. Find it at the southern exit of the interior hall in this town (the 
one where Citrine is). You can initiate a Spiria Link with it to get an amusing
scene (and strengthen some bonds). When you're ready to leave town, take this 
southern exit and, on the world map, head down the slope of the mountain and 
then all the way north to your next destination. Be sure to grab the Namcoin in
the item searchpoint on the way (it'll be on the right, near a cliff). 

Dronning
...............................................................................

You'll trigger a somewhat lengthy scene when you enter, during which Ines will
earn the "Full-Figured" title. When you have control, go down the slope to the
right and you'll find Citrine. Hand over any Namcoins you've found and then go
down the small slope left of her. Go right to find two snowmen. The one on the
left is Wonder Chef, and you'll give you the Miso Stew recipe, 2 Miso, 1 
Radish, 1 Egg, and 1 Kombu Kelp. Go back up the slope and head right, then go 
north as far as you can. You'll find a chest here containing 1 Namcoin. 

Right beside Citrine, you should see a door leading into what looks like a 
cave. Go inside to find a chest containing 15 Mushrooms. Take the left exit out
of this cave-like room and you'll find the Book and Armor shops in igloos to 
your left. In the bottom right corner of this area, you'll find the Item shop.
Now go back to the area where Citrine was. Cross the bridge leading right and 
you'll trigger a scene. Now cross the second bridge going right and you'll find
a Save Point outside a house. Go inside the house and speak to the boy here to
get a free Miracle Gel. Now take the path right of the Save Point and approach
the huge tree to trigger another scene. After it's over, take either path down
to the tree to trigger yet another scene. Afterwards, there's a merchant on the
left if you need to stock up on items (a good idea!) as well as a Save Point. 
When you're ready, talk to Lithia to be transported to your next destination.

Mysticete's Artificial Will Core
...............................................................................

Take a few steps south and you'll trigger a brief scene in which you gain the 
third ability for the Sorcerer's Ring. Obviously, this is the ability you'll be
using in this area for the most part. Now follow the path until it splits. Head
left to grab the chest containing 3 Lemon Gels. Now go north and follow this 
path until it splits again. Go right and then south when you can to reach a 
chest containing 2 Pineapple Gels. From the chest, head north then left, then 
north to find a pedestal you can't use yet and a green teleporter. Use the 
teleporter.

As soon as you get to this next area, you'll get a scene explaining the 
teleporters in this place. Once you have control, use the teleporter to reach 
the platform in front of you and then use the next teleporter to reach a 
cross-shaped platform. Use the teleporter on the right, then go all the way 
south and left to reach a chest containing 1 Grape Gel. Now go all the way 
north on this platform and use the teleporter here to reach a platform with a 
chest containing 3 Life Bottles. Use the teleporter on the left to reach a 
platform with a mini-boss called Ruby Great. Approach it to start the fight. 
It's just a bit tougher than a random battle, and it's weak to water/ice 
attacks so bring Ines for an easier time. After defeating it, you'll acquire 
Link Sphere M. 

Now use the left teleporter on this platform. On the next platform, at the top
left corner, you'll see what looks like a metal bar on the ground. Examine it 
to change which teleporters are active. Go south, then use the teleporter on 
the right. On the cross-shaped platform, use the right teleporter then head 
south and take the first left you can. Use the teleporter here to reach to 
platform on the left side of this area. On this platform, go left and then
all the way south to reach a chest containing 7000 Gald. Now go back and use 
the teleporter at the top of this platform, the one going north. Run north and
examine the metal bars again to change the active teleporters. Go back south 
and use the teleporter on the right. Use the right teleporter here, then go 
north and use that teleporter. Use the left teleporter and finally, use the 
green circular teleporter on this platform to reach the next area.

Examine the pedestal to use the Link Sphere M. Now go south and, at the fork, 
go right and then south when you can to reach a chest containing 2 Pineapple 
Gels. Go back to the pedestal and head right, using the teleporter to cross to 
the next platform. Follow this path right to grab a chest with 1 Peach Gel 
inside. Go south from the chest and take the first right you can to reach a 
chest containing 1 Specific. Now go back to the path you were on and continue 
south, taking the next right you come to, then following this path until you
reach a bridge going left. Take this bridge and follow the path to a chest 
containing 3 Panacea Bottles. Go back across the bridge you just used and 
continue south to find a green teleporter. Use it. 

In this new area, use the teleporter on the right, then run north and take the
second left path you come to and use the teleporter there. Use the teleporter 
on the left and head north to fight the mini-boss called Sapphire Great. He's 
weak to fire so bring Kohaku for a quick victory. Once you defeat him you'll 
acquire Link Sphere M. Now go back south and use the teleporter. Once on the 
cross-shaped platform, use the Link Sphere M on the pedestal. 

Use the north teleportal to reach the top platform. There's a Save Point here 
as well as a chest containing 1 Miracle Gel. Now use the teleporter on the 
right then the next one going south. Take the second left path you come to and 
use the teleporter. Keep following the linear path, using teleporters as you go
until you reach the platform you started on. 

Examine the metal bars on the north end of this platform to change the active 
teleporters. Now use the teleporter on the right, head north, and take the 
second left path and use the teleporter to reach the cross-shaped platform 
again. This time take the south teleporter and grab the chest containing 1 
Reflex. Now use the teleporter to get back to the cross-shaped platform and 
take the north teleporter. Use the green circular teleporter to trigger a 
scene. Once it's over, use the green teleporter again to be transported to a 
new area.

From here, take the north teleporter. Go north and when the path splits, go 
right, then right again at the next fork and right a third time to circle 
around and grab the chest with 1 Treat inside. Now go back to the last fork and
head south until you trigger the fight with the mini-boss called Topaz Great 
(you won't see him until you're so close that it triggers the fight). He's weak
to wind, so Hisui is a great choice here (his Air Thrust arte does major 
damage). Take out the smaller enemies first or they'll keep hammering you with 
spells.

After the fight, you'll acquire Link Sphere M. Use the nearby teleporter to 
reach the southern platform and grab the chest containing 9000 Gald. Use the 
teleporter on the left and you'll be back on the starting platform. Stop by the
healing Save Point if you like, then use the northwest teleporter. Follow the 
path and go north at the fork to reach the pedestal. Use the Link Sphere M on 
it. 

Now go back to that starting platform (the one with the Save Point), and use 
the north teleporter. Run north and take the first left you can, then examine 
the metal bars on the ground to change the active teleporters. Now use the 
north teleporter here. Head north, but run straight through the green 
teleporter (don't use it!) to reach the northern platform and grab the chest 
containing 1 Miracle Gel. Now go left and follow the rather long path all the
way south to reach a chest containing 3 Lemon Gels. Now follow the path all the
way back to the green circular teleporter and use it. 

You'll find yourself back in the first area of this dungeon. Use the teleporter
then head right. There's a Save Point along the way. Make sure you use it 
because you have a boss fight real soon. Head toward the portal you used to get
to this dungeon to trigger a scene and a battle.

Boss Fight: Striegov
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This fight is very easy if you take the right party. Striegove is weak to 
water, so bring Ines and Beryl. Set their priorities to have them continuously
spam their strongest water attacks and he'll go down fast. I didn't even need 
to use Kor's Mystic Arte for this one.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After the battle, you'll get some scenes and Ines will earn the "Spiria Savior"
title. Head back into the village for more scenes and a couple of easy battles 
against Xeroms. Kohaku and Hisui will each earn the "Heir to the Heart" title 
and Hisui, Kunzite, Gall, and Chal will earn the "Somatic Bondsman" title. Now
you need to leave the village and head back to Marquise Northport. Luckily, a 
villager will inform you that there's now a shortcut so you don't have to go 
back through Blanche Villa and Mount Bremen. 

Exit onto the world map and head west, across some icebergs, then head south 
toward the port, but be sure to look for an item searchpoint on the way (it'll 
be on the western edge of the continent) that contains 1 Water Willstone. Once
at the port, talk to the man closest to the ship to set sail for Obus 
Southport. From here, exit to the world map and then head northeast to Straga.

Once inside Straga, run north and try to enter the castle. After the scene, 
you'll be at the Inn. You can buy items/armor/books here. Talk to Annaberg here
to get a free Seal Bottle and the Innkeeper in the northwest corner to get a 
free Sacrosanct Bottle. When you're ready, use the trapdoor beside the 
Innkeeper to enter the sewers (again). 

From where you start, head north and west to find a chest containing 2 Lemon 
Gels. To the right of the chest you should see a switch on the floor. Flip it 
and then run north and flip the other floor switch. This just opens up all the
paths and makes exploring easier when you revisit. There's a merchant here if
you need items, and a ladder going up. Take the ladder.

Maximus Castle
...............................................................................

In this room, you can talk to the soldier on the right for a free Seal Bottle,
use the Save Point if you wish, then exit the room. From here, head left to 
grab a chest containing 1 Seal Charm. Now head all the way right to find a 
chest with 1 Black Ribbon inside. Now enter the door just to the left of the 
are you just found the Black Ribbon in. Follow the path until you trigger a 
scene. 

You should notice, scattered around this area, four pedestals that have blue 
globes on top. You have to shoot them with the Sorcerer's Ring (the level 1 
ability) in the correct order. First, head all the way left and shoot the globe
here (the Sword). Next, go all the way left and shoot the globe here (the 
Shield). Third, in the main room, shoot the globe on the right (the Armor). 
Lastly, shoot the globe on the left side of the room (the Helmet). This will
cause the bars on the door in the northeast corner to raise, so use that door 
and follow the path until you reach another large room with globes on 
pedestals.  

In here, there is a lion head statue on the north wall. You should see a 
glowing spot under it. Shoot that with the ring first, then shoot the globe 
directly left of the fountain (a Sword). Now go south, to the lower floor of 
this room. In the top right corner of this section is another Sword globe. 
Shoot it to raise the bars on the next door and continue on. Follow this path 
until you reach a room with a Save Point. Use it, then examine the purple mass
on the door. 

Boss Fight: Pining Veronica
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This fight is a little tougher than the last one, but still not a big deal. 
She's weak to light-based attacks, so Kor and Chal will be great here. Be sure
to turn off any dark-based artes if you bring anyone who has them. She has some
tough attacks that can take chunks of your HP off, but you should be fine as 
long as you brought a healer (preferably one besides Chal so he can focus on 
attacking with his light artes). 
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the resulting scenes, Chal will earn the "Empress' Champion" title and 
you'll acquire the Lumifax Pendant. Chal will also earn another title ("He Who
Cried Love"). When you have control, go north, through the large door behind 
the throne. In here, talk to the maid on the right side of the room for a free
Grape Gel. Now exit the south door and use the healing Save Point if you like,
then head down either set of stairs to the south to find three chests. 

The one in the middle contains 28500 Gald. The one on the left is a monster, 
called Swindler. It's a bit tougher than the usual chest monsters, as it uses 
a lot of spells and has high HP, but you get a Ruby for defeating it. The chest
on the right contains 1 Mind Bracelet. Take the north door twice to return to 
the throne room, then head south. Before exiting the castle, go all the way 
left and talk to a soldier here to get a free Specific. The other soldier in 
this room, near the back, will give you 1 Namcoin. Now take the south door to 
exit the castle. 

Straga (Loose Ends)
...............................................................................

There are quite a few things to do in Straga now, all of which are pretty easy
and give some decent rewards (titles, recipes, etc.) so I recommend you take 
the time to do them before continuing with the story.

Once outside the castle, head left. Just past the dog, you can talk to a 
soldier for a free Elixir. Keep heading left and you'll find two soldiers 
guarding the entrance to the Army Headquarters. One of them will give you a 
Miracle Gel and the other will give you the Imperial Standard attachment.

There are two stone bridges leading to the Army Headquarters here. On the lower
bridge you can find Wonder Chef. He'll give you the Steak recipe, 2 Beef, 2 
Garlic, 1 Salt, and 2 Potatoes. Now head south and follow the path as it goes 
to the right, ending up in the area with the shops and the Inn. Go right from 
here to find Annaberg and her parents. Speak to them and then initiate a Spiria
Link with Annaberg. You'll then receive the Annaberg's Scarf accessory and 
Kunzite will earn the "Love Triangulator" title.

Keep going right to the next screen. Against the north side, just as you enter,
is a soldier with a chef hat on. This is, of course, Wonder Chef. Talk to him 
to receive the Roast Chicken recipe, 2 Chicken, 2 Garlic, 2 Onions, and 1 Salt.
Below where Wonder Chef was, you should see a girl talking to and old man in a
white robe. Talk to the old man to get a free Syrup Bottle. 

Now exit to the world map and re-enter Straga. Go to the Church (head right two
screens) for a scene. Now take the back left door for another scene, then 
perform a Spiria Link with Chal's father. You'll have a quick battle here 
against some Xeroms (no maze, thankfully). In the resulting scenes, Hisui will
earn the "Nightmare Bro-In-Law" title. Afterwards, go back into the back left 
room and examine the present on the desk. You'll receive a costume for Chal 
("To the Manor Born"). 

Exit the Church and head back to the Army Headquarters (left three screens) and
enter it for a scene. You can now perform a Spiria Link with Grossular. You'll 
receive the Knight's Emblem accessory for your trouble. Gall will also earn the
"Captive Audience" title. Now go down the steps and talk to the soldier behind 
the desk on the left side to get a free Peach Gel. Take the door on the right.
The second cell has a chest containing 3 Onions and the fourth cell has a chest
containing 4 Milk.

Now exit to the world map and head west toward Guz Spa. You'll have to go back 
through Anders Mine, but thankfully you don't have to go back through the whole
dungeon. On the very first screen, instead of going left, back into the mine, 
take the right path that leads north, back onto the world map. From here, if 
you head straight north, you should see two item searchpoints, one of them 
toward the left, up against a hillside. That one contains 1 Namcoin. Now head 
west, around the mountain, to Guz Spa.

Guz Spa (Second Visit)
...............................................................................

After the scene, head up the steps to the north and talk to the woman with the
red mark above her head. After the scene, go toward the left exit of town (near
where Citrine is). Before you reach Citrine though, there's a sign with chef 
hat on. This is Wonder Chef, and he'll give you the Curry Hot Pot recipe, 1 
Potato, 1 Carrot, 2 Beef, and 1 Cheese. Now take that left exit and you'll get
a scene. Now leave Guz Spa and head north, around a lake, to reach your next 
destination.

Mount Va'mell
...............................................................................

From where you start, head left and follow the path until it splits in three 
directions. Go left first to reach a chest containing 3 Paralysis Bottles. Next
take the north path to reach a chest containing 2 Lemon Gels. Finally, take the
right path to reach a new screen.

Here, go left across the bridge and follow the linear path up until it starts 
forking. Take the first branching left path you can, across another bridge, and
follow the path to a chest containing 2 Panacea Bottles. Go back to where the 
path split and take the right path to reach a chest containing 1 Fire 
Willstone. Return to where the path split again and go north and left, then 
right, crossing more bridges. At the top, you should see a Wandering Merchant
so stock up if you need anything, then enter the door beside him.

In this room you'll have to knock over crystals to make paths using the 
Sorcerer's Ring's level two ability. Follow the path until you reach the first
two large crystals (there will be one on either side of you). Shoot the one on 
the left and run across it. Ignore the pink crystal for now and keep going all
the way left, then up to a large crystal. Shoot this one and it will crumble. 
Now go back and shoot the large crystal that was just below where this one 
crumbles. You can now run up the slope it created and grab the chest containing
1 Plate Mail. 

Now go back to that pink crystal we ignored earlier and examine it, then choose
yes. Go left and shoot the large crystal you used to make a ramp up to the 
chest just now. This time it will crumble. Now go further left and shoot the 
large crystal that crumbled earlier. This time it won't cumble and will make a
bridge to the right, so cross it to continue. 

Follow the path and when it forks, go right and shoot the large crystal there.
Run up the ramp it made and shoot the next large crystal to reach a chest 
containing 1 Red Ribbon. Go back to the fork and go north, then take the second
left path. Shoot the large crystal here to make a bridge to the chest 
containing 1 Grape Gel. Now head right and shoot the large crystal there to 
make a bridge to the chest containing 1 Shock Charm. No go to the small green 
crystal and examine it, then choose yes to return to the pink crystal. Use it 
to reset the large crystals. 

Go left, shoot the first crystal, then further left and shoot the second one to
make our bridges again. Follow the path back toward the small green crystal. At
this fork, go right and shoot the crystal. Run up the ramp, but instead of 
shooting the next crystal, turn Kor to face the left and shoot across the gap 
at the crystal there. It should fall toward the left. Now go back to the fork 
and take the lower left path (not the one with the crystal on it). Turn Kor to
face north and shoot across the gap at the large crystal. This will make the 
bridge you need to continue. You can now follow the linear path, using the two
crystal bridges we made, to the next area. 

In the next room, just follow the path to the next area. In here you need to 
raise the level of the lava to reach certain places. Start by heading left and 
taking the first north path you can. When the path forks, go left and then up 
to reach a chest containing 1 Garnet. Now go south to reach a chest containing
14500 Gald. Go back to where the path split and go right as far as you can. Now
go north as far as you can and follow the path to a chest with 1 Phoenix Guard 
inside. From this chest, go right and all the way south to reach a chest
containing 1 Mythril Circlet. 

Now that you've rounded up the chests, you can work on moving on. From the 
chest you just got, go north and take the second left path to reach a large 
boulder. Shoot it with the Sorcerer's Ring to raise the lava level. Now go 
right, back to the path you were on, and take the left path below you, then go
south when you can, then left again and follow the path back to where you first
entered this room. From here, go left then north. When the path forks, take the
upper right path to reach another boulder. Shoot it with the ring to raise the 
lava again. Now you can go all the way south and then up the center path to 
exit to the next area. 

As you proceed north in this room, you'll trigger a scene. Chal will leave the
party and you'll end up on the lower floor of this room. Head south and shoot 
the large crystal to create a bridge to the path you were on before (in case 
you want to return to previous rooms or something - you can't continue north on
this path now). Now go through the north door.

When you enter this room, immediately go left to reach a chest with 1 Peach Gel
inside. Now head right and begin the long, linear descent down the cavern. 
You'll eventually reach a Save Point. Be sure to use it! After the scene, 
you'll have to fight two bosses using only Chal. You'll get the chance to 
access the menu, so make sure to prepare. Set any skills you think will come in
handy and be sure to set some artes for easy use! 

Boss Fight: Incarose (x2)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This fight is a bit of a challenge, for two main reasons. Number one, you're 
fighting alone, without a party, against two enemies. Number two, you're 
controlling Chal, a character you quite possibly have never controlled before,
so you likely won't be as used to his moves and how he fights. If you've been 
controlling Chal a lot, this fight will be a lot easier for you, but even if 
you've never controlled him before, don't worry. He's easy to use and has some
great artes. Now, as for the fight, you have some things to be thankful for. 
You only have to kill one of the Incarose bots, not both of them, to end the 
fight. They're both weak to light attacks, and Chal has plenty of those. Also,
since Chal excels at aerial attacks and combos, you will often have one of the
Incarose bots in the air, pummeling it far out of the other's reach, so you 
don't have to worry as much about being attacked from behind. Target the 
caster, since she can hammer you with spells and she's far more dangerous than 
her twin. Don't bother with Chal's healing artes. Items are much faster. Focus
on light-based physical artes and aerial combos and the fight will be easier 
than you'd expect.

You'll get some scenes and then be thrust right into the next boss fight 
(you'll get to use the menu first and organize your party/skills/etc.). 

Boss Fight: Vorgas
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The easiest way to win this fight is to bring Ines and Beryl and have them spam
their best ice/water attacks. Beryl's Final Embrace works wonders here. Bring 
Hisui as your healer, since Kohaku's fire attacks will be useless in this 
fight. Vorgas hits hard, but he also takes a lot of damage fairly quickly if 
you use ice attacks.

In the resulting scene, you'll acquire the Flare Horn and Chal will earn the 
"Wings of Comradery" title. You'll end up back in Guz Spa. When you have 
control, exit the Mayor's House and talk to the little boy just outside the 
door for a free Grape Gel. Head toward the back of the village and speak to 
Sassol for a Namcoin. Now enter the Hot Springs and talk to the lady behind the
counter. After the scenes, leave Guz Spa and you'll finally have control of the
ship.

Sidequests and Loose Ends
...............................................................................

Now that you have the ship, you can do a lot of optional stuff before heading 
to the next dungeon. This section will outline some of the things you can do, 
but it is by no means a complete list. As I said at the beginning of the guide,
this walkthrough is primarily to help you get through the main story of the
game. There are complete sidequest guides readily available out there, so 
please use them if you want to make sure you don't miss anything. 

If you just want to move on with the main story, skip to the next section. 
Also, if you accidentally stumble into the next story dungeon while flying 
around (this will probably happen, as just flying near it will take you there 
without asking if you're sure), don't worry. You can simply exit back to your 
ship and the enemies will politely wait for you to come back. 

First of all, let's get everyone's swimsuit costumes! In the airship, head to 
where High Tower is. Now go directly north and you should find an island that 
has mountains and two beaches (on on the east side and one on part of the south
side. Land near the eastern beach and then approach the eastern beach to enter
Cove Cave. You'll get a scene here, and then you'll acquire the swimsuit 
costumes. 

While you're here at Cove Cave (before exiting to the world map), head right 
and enter the cave here. You'll be asked which direction to go several times. 
Choose them in this order: Straight, Right, Straight, Right. You'll receive a 
Namcoin. Now leave and enter the cave again. This time choose the directions in
this order: Straight, Left, Straight, Right. This time you'll receive a 
Captain's Hat. Now enter the cave one more time and choose the directions in 
this order: Straight, Left, Right, Right, Left, Right, Left. You'll receive the
Miso Pudding recipe. Now you can exit to the world map.

On this same island, on the left side, there's an item searchpoint that gives 
you a Namcoin.

Now, head all the way back to Seaville. Once you enter the town, head toward 
the beach and you'll trigger a scene. You'll fight a weak enemy and get the 
Topaz accessory for your trouble. You'll also acquire Smelly Squid Strips and 
Kohaku will earn the "Squid Pro Quo" title. Now head left to Kor's house, to 
his grandpa's grave, for a scene. Enter Kor's house to receive the Powerhog 
Pork Stew recipe. Leave Kor's house and examine the pig outside with a question
mark over its head to receive the Sardonyx accessory.

Leave Seaville and fly south to Cynos. When you enter, take the first south 
path you can then go left to find a little girl with a question mark over her 
head. Talk to her for a free Peach Gel. Now enter the Observatory (the house 
with the telescope on top) and climb the ladder. Talk to Euclase and perform a
Spiria Link. Now leave the Observatory and go back inside. Climb the ladder 
again and talk to Euclase. Leave again and head back toward the entrance of the
town. You'll see Uran here, so talk to her and perform a Spiria Link. You'll 
receive a Lavender for your efforts.

Exit Cynos and fly south to Hanselar. Head to the church on the right side of 
town and enter the confessional in the back left corner. You can confess with 
each character by changing the onscreen character and entering the 
confessional. Each character will make three confessions, and they're quite 
funny. If you keep going in even after you've made all the confessions you can,
you'll eventually get the Kuro attachment. 

Now head toward the Guildmaster's Hall. Right outside the building is a lady 
you can talk to for a scene. Once inside the building, you can talk to the girl
behind the counter on the left and she'll buy your Ancient Stalagmite for 1000
Gald. As you leave the building, you'll get a brief scene with Coral (the 
Guildmaster's secretary). 

Leave Hanselar and head to the beach southeast of here (where you washed up 
earlier in the game). You might remember seeing a briefcase here that you 
couldn't do anything with. Now you can examine it to acquire the Spec Ops 
Uniform for Ines and the Spec Ops Mask attachment. 

Exit the beach and fly toward Guz Spa. Instead of landing near the town, land 
near the beach to the east of it. Enter the beach and you'll fight an easy 
battle, which will earn you the Polwigle attachment (and a pet I guess?). After
that, while still on the beach, head left to find an odd-colored chest. Examine
it to receive the Newsbot-Kun attachment. There's also a man here that you can 
play Rock Paper Scissors with. Beat him once to earn the "R.P.S. Champion" 
title for Gall. 

Now enter Guz Spa and go into the men's side of the Hot Springs. Pay the lady 
behind the desk 100 Gald and you'll get a funny scene that strengthens some 
bonds. Leave Guz Spa and fly to Shoalhaven. Ride the boat to Villa Isle and go
inside the house. Talk to Alexandre to perform a Spiria Link with him. Doing so
will get you a Headdress.

Leave Shoalhaven and fly toward Lion Park, but then fly direcly east and you 
should see an item searchpoint near the eastern edge of the continent. Examine
it to get a Namcoin. Now enter Lion Park and go to the Inn.

Talk to the maid near the elevator and agree to hear her out. In the suite, go
into the bathroom on the right and examine the tub. You'll be rewarded with 
2000 Gald (this event is necessary for another one that results in a Namcoin 
later). Also remember that you can ride the ferris wheel and the coffee cups to
boost your bonds with your party members.

When you're done here, head to the airship dock and talk to Amethyst. You'll 
end up back in Hanselar and you can perform a Spiria Link with Coral. You'll 
earn yourself an Elixir. Leave Hanselar.

Now fly toward Mount Va'mell. To the west and slightly north of it, you should
see a small island shaped like a cat's paw. Land there and enter the tiny 
forest. You'll get a scene, then exit, watch the skit, then go back in and talk
to the lady there to receive the Cat Ears attachment. Put them on Hisui and 
make him your onscreen character, then talk to the lady again to acquire 
Hisui's Kitten Mittens soma.

Fly to Prinseur and enter. At the entrance, go up the stairs on the right and 
go right and south to talk to a little girl with a question mark over her head.
Now go speak to the old lady slightly north of her. Perform a Spiria Link and 
you'll be rewarded with a Namcoin. Now enter the town proper and then head left
to another screen, then north and right to pass by the church. As you begin to
pass it, you'll trigger a scene and acquire the "Crystal Knight" costumes for 
Kor and Hisui. When done with that, head right, as far as you can, until you 
reach the area where Citrine is. Just to the right of her, there's a house with
a giant teacup in front of it. The teacup is wearing a chef hat, so yes, it's 
Wonder Chef. He'll give you the Squid & Radish Stew recipe, 2 Squid, 2 Radish, 
and 2 Kombu Kelp. 

Exit Prinseur and fly back to Straga. We did most of the optional stuff 
available here a little earlier in the guide, but we can grab another Namcoin 
now. Head to the Inn and go to the dining area, near the entrance to the 
Sewers. There will be a man in purple with a question mark over his head. Speak
to him and answer "Yes". You'll end up in the Sewers and you'll have an easy 
battle. In the resulting scene, you'll get a Namcoin.

Now fly to Layve Village and enter the Clinic. Talk to Tekt, then leave the 
Clinic. Go back in and talk to Tekt again. Now head left toward Zirconia's 
house and enter it. Perform a Spiria Link with Tekt and you'll fight one easy 
battle. As your reward, Kor will learn the Meteoric Iron arte, he'll acquire 
the Tekt's Cane soma, and he'll earn the "Heir of Artes" title. Leave Layve 
Village and board your ship. North of the village is a U-shaped beach. On 
either side of it is an item searchpoint. The one to the west contains a 
Namcoin. In the southeast area of this small continent, you should see another
item searchpoint that also contains a Namcoin. 

Fly north toward Logos Caves. Slightly south and west of it, there's yet 
another item searchpoint that contains a Namcoin. Fly toward Seaville. Directly
southeast of it, there's a small beach with an item searchpoint. It also 
contains a Namcoin. You can pick up another Namcoin if you fly to the northeast
corner of the world map, where you'll find an item searchpoint on some small 
snowy islands. 

Since you're in the area, stop by Dronning and go into the Village Elder's Home
(in the back right area, near the Save Point). Talk to Sapphire (Kohaku and 
Hisui's aunt) and perform a Spiria Link. You'll learn the Mabo Curry recipe as
reward.

Now head on over to Blanche Villa. Go to Beryl's house and talk to her 
grandmother. You'll learn the Peach Pie recipe. Now go to Beryl's room and 
examine her hat collection. You'll get Kunzite's "Helmetless Wonder" costume. 

If you want another Namcoin, fly to the desert area of the world map and look 
around the eastern side of it. You should see an item searchpoint near a tiny 
lake. Now fly to the far southeastern corner of the world map. There are some 
tiny islands here, and one of them has an item searchpoint that contains a 
Namcoin. 

Once you're done doing all the extra stuff, and you're ready to move on with 
the story, fly to the giant whale in the sky, which is pretty darn close to the
middle of the world map.

Mysticete
...............................................................................

Go north from where you start, through the door. You'll be in the room where 
Corundum is. You can speak to her for a brief scene, then go back south and 
take the door on the right. This is where you were when you escaped Mysticete 
earlier in the game. You can use the vending machines if you wish, or the 
healing Save Point. If you find yourself struggling with the enemies here, a 
good idea would be to hang out around this Save Point and fight a lot of random
battles to level up. When you're ready to move on, exit the south door of this
room and you'll be back in the room you started in, but in the south section. 
Head south when you can and use the roundish teleporter (don't worry about the
door on the left side, it just leads back to the room with Corundum).

Here, go up the left stairs to find a puzzle. You have to push to square blocks
into the glowing squares on the ground. If you look closely at the lines on top
of the blocks and the lines on the floor, you should be able to tell which ones
go where. But if you can't, push the block on the right into the top square, 
the bottom left block into the right square, and the top left block into the 
bottom left square. If you mess up, you can examine the pink crystal to reset 
it. 

Now go to the left, across the bridge, to do another puzzle just like the first
one. The top right block goes into the top left square, the bottom right block
goes into the top right square, and the bottom left block goes into the bottom
right square. Now run up the middle path to the north and use the teleporter we
just activated. 

In this area, go south as far as you can to reach a chest containing 2 
Pineapple Gels. Now go back and take the right path to a teleporter and use it.
In this next room you'll be using your Sorcerer's Ring to shoot the blue 
cristal in the middle of the room. When you shoot it, the bridge you're on will
rotate to allow you to reach the four different platforms here. Step onto the 
bridge and shoot the crystal twice, which will allow you access to the south 
platform. There's a chest here containing 2 Lemon Gels. Step back onto the 
bridge and shoot the crystal until you can access the platform on the left. Run
down the slope and step onto the round green lift. 

From here, follow the path to reach another puzzle. This looks a lot harder 
than it is. To start with, go to the second column from the left and pull it 
down twice. Now go to the fourth column from the left and pull it down once. 
Go to the next column over (fifth from the left) and pull it down once. This 
should complete the puzzle. Return to the round green lift and ride it back up.
Step onto the rotating bridge and shoot the crystal twice to have access to the
platform on the right. Go right as far as you can here and then go south and
ride the green lift. On this lower floor, go left and then south to reach a 
chest containing 1 Mythril Mail. Use the green lift to go back up and use the 
teleporter on this platform.

In this area, go left as far as you can to find a Save Point. Go south from 
there to reach a chest containing 3 Life Bottles. Now go back to the Save Point
(be sure to use it!) and go north, and use the large green lift there. You'll 
trigger a scene and a boss fight.

Boss Fight: Xeromized Striegov
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
He's quite a bit tougher this time around, with stronger attacks and more HP. 
He's still weak to ice/water attacks, so it's still a great idea to bring Beryl
and Ines and have them spam their strongest ice attacks (again, Beryl's Final 
Embrace works wonders here). He has a tendency to go after your healer, so try
to keep him away from Hisui or whoever you're using. If anyone in your party 
has any dark attacks, turn them off.

In the resulting scene you'll acquire Lapis' Spiria Core, then you'll end up in
a new area. Just run north (you'll be stopped if you try to take a branching 
path) to enter your next destination.

Cind'rella
...............................................................................

After you have control, use the Save Point nearby (it's not a healing one, 
unfortunately). There are also two greenish colored machines that look eerily 
like coffins just ahead. The one on the right is the Inn (resting here will get
you a skit). The one on the left is the Book and Recipe shop. Up ahead, the 
pat splits. Go left to reach another machine shop that sells Items/Groceries 
and go right to reach a machine shop that sells Armor. 

Take the path north from either of these shops to reach a machine wearing a 
chef hat. This is naturally Wonder Chef (he sure gets around). Talk to him to 
receive the Chocolate Fondue recipe, 2 Chocolate, 2 Strawberries, 2 Bananas, 
and 1 Rice Flour. Now continue north and when you reach the next screen, enter
the green door on the left. 

After the scene, grab the chest on the right for 1 Namcoin. Now perform a 
Spiria Link with Clinoseraph for a scene, then a boss fight.

Boss Fight: Chlorseraph and Clinoseraph
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This fight isn't as hard as I expected. Chlorseraph is weak to dark attacks and
Clinoseraph is weak to light attacks. Take out Chlorseraph first, then deal
with his twin. They're both fast and they hit fairly hard, but they go down 
pretty fast if you focus on one at a time.

In the resulting scene, Kunzite will earn the "Ace-Beater" title. When you have
control, go back the way you came and exit Cind'rella to the south. From here,
follow the path south and when you can, take the west path. When the path 
splits, go west again and south to a chest containing a monster. Defeat it to 
receive a Weak Charm. Go back to the path and continue following it until you 
reach your next destination.

Beanstalk Tower
...............................................................................

After the scenes, run forward and enter the glowing round gate to the north. 
Once inside, go straight north as far as you can to reach two chests. The one 
on the right contains 1 Treat and the one on the left contains 1 Radiant 
Willstone. Now go back south to where you first came in and head left. There's 
a round red barrier blocking your way going north west, so go south west and 
use the lift there. You'll be taken down to a small section with a chest 
containing 1 Red Saffron. Ride the lift back up go to the right side of this 
area. There's another round red barrier here, so take the lift down just like 
you did on the left side.

Follow the path to another lift and ride it down, then go north to a puzzle. 
To start with, drag the flower bud down three tiles, to the lowest sun tile. 
Now shoot the bottom left crystal to change the tiles. Drag the bud two tiles 
to the right. Now shoot the crystal directly right of the bud. Push the bud 
one tile to the right, then one tile north, then two tiles right. Now shoot the
crystal you just shot again. Drag the bud one tile down. Now shoot the right 
most crystal. You now have a clear path to drag the bud one tile right and
one tile down to solve the puzzle. 

Ride the lifts back up to the area where you first entered. The round red 
barriers are gone so you can now use the one on the far right to ride to an 
area with a chest containing 1 Crystal Guard. Ride the lift back down and head
to the far left, where you can now walk through a large round portal. 

From here, begin walking up the giant beanstalk. On your way, you'll see a 
chest on the right containing 1 Peach Gel. Eventually you'll reach another 
large portal you can walk through. After going through the portal, take an 
immediate right to reach a chest containing 12200 Gald. Now go back and head 
south a bit, following the path to a lift you can ride.

After the scene, go south and then left to a chest containing Link Sphere B. 
Now go north and right for a chest containing another Link Sphere B. Now go 
back south and go right to use a lift. Follow the path and when it splits, go 
right and use the level three ability of the Sorcerer's Ring to teleport across
to the next platform. Take the green colored path up and then keep going north
until you reach an area with two pedestals, one on each side of the path, and 
a round red barrier blocking your way. Set a Link Sphere B on each pedestal 
and go south, back down the green path you took to get here. At the bottom of 
the green path, go right and north, using the teleporter here to cross the gap. 

Go north and use the level two ability of the Sorcerer's Ring to shoot the blue
floating crystal. This will disable one of the red barriers. The chest to your 
left contains 1 Ancient Ribbon. Go up the green path to the left and make your
way left and south, down another green path. At the bottom of this green path,
go left and north, use the teleporter, and go north to destroy another floating
blue crystal. This will cause the other two barriers to go down. The chest to 
your right has a Crystal Helm inside. Now take the green path going right then 
go straight north and ride the lift up.

You'll now be on the other side of the red barrier from the previous area. Go 
all the way right and destroy the floating blue crystal to bring the barrier 
down, then go north and ride the lift there. From here, follow the path to a 
Save Point (use it!), then continue to the top and ride the last lift for a 
scene and a boss fight.

Boss Fight: Incarose Alt
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This upgraded Incarose is definitely tougher than her previous form. She's 
still weak to light attacks, so use that to your advantage. She has a Mystic 
Arte that will probably kill you, but it only hits one character, so it's not 
that hard to recover from it. There's only one of her, so you can surround her
and hammer her with combos.

After the scene, you'll automatically be in your next destination.

Rapunzel
...............................................................................

This functins as a town-type area. There's an Inn on the right, and some shops
on the left. To the left of the shops is a lift you can ride up, then run all 
the way to the right and south to reach a chest containing 1 Namcoin. North of
this chest is another lift. Ride it up and head to the left to find Wonder Chef
disquised as Citrine. He'll give you the Sukiyaki recipe, 3 Beef, 2 Tofu, 2 
Green Onions, and 2 Mushrooms. 

Ride the two lifts back down to the borrom floor and head north. There's a Save
Point here, which you can use if you like, then go north into the darkened door
way for a scene. After it's over, talk to Kohaku for another scene. Now ride 
the nearby lift up and talk to Hisui and Lithia. When you have control again, 
head back into the room to the north where you found Curundum. After the scene,
you can speak to Curundum to enter the last dungeon, Gardenia. However, there 
are more sidequests available now if you'd like to do them. Just exit to the 
south (choose Organica) and you'll be back in your airship. You can then fly 
back to this point whenever you want and choose to return to Minera or 
Gardenia. 

Sidequests and Loose Ends 2
...............................................................................

This section assumes you want to wrap up some more sidequests. If you want to 
go ahead and finish the game, skip to the next section to continue. As with 
the previous sidequests section, this is by no means a complete list of things
you can do. Please see a sidequest guide if you want to make sure you see and 
do everything. 

Now, let's start with flying to Guz Spa and entering the hot springs from the 
men's side. If you did this earlier and got a scene, this time you should get 
a new scene that starts with Kohaku going into the women's side alone. You'll 
then be given a choice between peeping on the women's side (why does Hisui 
wanna peep when his sister is in there?) or staying on the men's side. Both 
will get you different results (peeping gets you an amusing scene but not
peeping gives you a fairly big boost to the Kor/Kohaku bond). 

Go back into the men's side and pay the 100 Gald to the lady behind the 
counter. Kor will be back outside the hot springs, so run over to the right and
approach the little boy with the question mark over his head. Now use the level
one ability of the Sorcerer's Ring to burn the log away and climb the next two 
ladders. Run along the path and use the level two ability of the ring to blast 
the boulder. Continue until the next obstacle, which requires the level three 
ability (these ladies must be tired of getting peeped on if they're using
ancient Mineran technology like this). Finally, jump down the ladder for a 
scene. Kor will earn the "Downright Deviant" title, Hisui will earn the 
"Die-Hard Deviant" title, and Kunzite will earn the "Mechadeviant" title. 
Return to the peeping spot two more times to get more scenes and boosts to the
Kor/Hisui, Kor/Kunzite, and Hisui/Kunzite bonds.

Leave Guz Spa and fly to Seaville. Enter Kor's house for a scene and Kor's 
Blade of Beginnings Soma. Kor will also learn the Demon Fang arte. Now head to
the beach area of town and talk to the guy beside the boat on the right for a 
free Melange Gel. Exit to the left, to Seaville Forest, and go right at the 
fork to get back to Kor's mother's grave. You'll get a scene here, and a boost
to everyone's bonds. 

Leave Seaville and fly to Straga. Enter the castle and go straight north to 
talk to the Empress, then perform a Spiria Link. You'll be rewarded with a 
Divine Symbol. After the scene, go into the room behind the throne and talk to
the Empress again. Chal will earn the "Actual Human Being" title and his Rose 
Bouquet Soma. After finishing this, go to the Military Headquarters and through
the door on the right to enter the jail cells to trigger a scene with Beryl. 

Now leave Straga and fly to Hanselar. Talk to the Innkeeper for a scene, then 
go to the Item shop for another scene. Fly to Pendeloque Southport and talk to
Aqua to receive Pizza Ingredients. Fly back to Hanselar and talk to the 
Innkeeper's wife again. You'll learn the Pizza Tricolore recipe and receive 
an Aquamarine. Ines will also earn the "New Mother" title. 

Fly to Blanche Villa and head toward Beryl's house. On the way you'll be 
stopped by a scene with Amethyst. Head for the mountaintop area for another 
scene and you'll recieve an Opal. Now rest in Beryl's room in her house, and 
if you got the scene earlier with Beryl in the jail cells in Straga, you'll 
obtain her Gentlemen Soma.

Exit Blanche Villa and fly to Dronning. Run toward the little island in the 
center of town where the tree was earlier (the one Kohaku's aunt had to cut 
down). You'll get a scene and a boost to everyone's bonds. Now go to Kohaku's 
house and try to enter her bedroom on the upper floor. Now go downstairs and 
talk to Kyan (the little boy). Follow him to the other side of the room and 
perform a Spiria Link. In the resulting scene, Kohaku will earn the "Kicking 
Queen" title and you'll learn the Miso Rice Balls recipe. Examine the big white
stuffed animal in the corner to receive the DX Doll item. There's also a chest
on the right side of the room containing 3 Miso. Rest in Kohaku's bed to 
trigger a skit that will increase the bonds of all the guys.

Now fly to Pendeloque Southport and talk to Aqua, then perform a Spiria Link 
with her. After that, fly to Hanselar and enter the Guildmaster's Hall. Go talk
to Ultra Marine and perform a Spirira Link with him. You'll receive a World 
Charm, a Crystal Crest, a Namcoin, and Beryl will earn the "New Master" title.
Once this is over, go back inside the Guildmaster's Hall and talk to Ultra 
Marine again. If you've been following my walkthrough, then you already talked
to an old man in Shoalhaven about a golden bell (if you haven't, you need to 
talk to him to start this sidequest - he's on the right side when you first 
enter the town, near some tables in what looks like an outdoor cafe area). Once
you've talked to Ultra Marine, head downstairs and talk to Coral (she'll have 
a question mark over her head) to start another sidequest that we can finish 
up.

Fly to Twilight Forest and land near the southern exit. Enter and follow the 
path back to where you met Chalcedony for the first time. You'll get a scene 
and receive 10000 Gald and the G'Night Club Soma for Ines. Now, to finish up 
the golden bell sidequest, fly to Obus Westport and enter for a scene, then 
perform a Spiria Link. You'll have a quick battle, then you'll acquire the 
Golden Bell. In the following scene, you'll receive a Stun Talisman and Ines 
will earn the "Shrewd Businesswoman" title.

Fly back to where you exited from Rapunzel. Choose to go to Minera and run 
straight north to Cind'rella. When you enter, a scene will trigger. Now go 
north and then go left as far as you can until you reach what looks like a 
giant tree. Approach it to trigger another scene. Examine the tree again and, 
if you have level seven or above bonds between certain party members, you'll 
acquire their Dual Mystic Artes. The characters you can get Dual Mystic Artes 
for are, Kor/Kohaku, Kor/Beryl, Kor/Chalcedony, Kohaku/Hisui, Kohaku/Beryl, 
Gall/Ines, and Gall/Kunzite. 

Now exit Cind'rella and go back to Beanstalk Tower. Climb all the way to the 
very top, which is much faster and easier now with the puzzles solved and the 
barriers all down. Examine the glowing spot here to obtain Incarose Core, 
Clinoseraph's Core, and Chlorseraph's Core. Now go back to Cind'rella and head
north, to the area with the green door you entered to reach Lithia's room. 
Instead of going through the green door, run up the nearby stairs and examine
the large computer-looking thing in the back. 

Choose to view Incarose's Memories for a scene. Now choose to view Cind'rella's
records for another scene.

View the Seraph brothers' memories and you'll find yourself back in Mysticete.
Enter the door to the north for a scene. Now enter the door on the right and 
keep going right until you get a scene with Corundum. There's nothing left to 
do here, so go back to where you started and head back to Cind'rella. Doing so
will trigger another scene and you'll acquire the "Ultra-Ornamento S" costume 
for Kunzite. 

After this, you can explore Cind'rella as it was in the past, which means the 
people are alive and you can talk to them. Start by entering Lithia's room 
(through the green door) and examining the bird cage for a brief scene. Now 
exit her room and go left, on the conveyer belt. On the left side of this first
section, you should see a small garden (it kinda looks like graves, to be 
honest). Examine them. Now go to the huge tree in the top left section (where 
you got the Dual Mystic Artes) and examine the tree for a small scene. 

You can get a brief scene if you go south from where you started and speak to 
the couple with question marks over their heads (man, they're making it real 
hard to feel sorry for the Minerans). When you're done looking around, use the
big computer-thing to the north again and choose to link out.

When you're ready to go to the final dungeon, exit Cind'rella, head all the way
south, and examine the round metal thing to the right. You can go back to 
Organica or you can go on to Gardenia. Choosing Gardenia takes you back to 
Rapunzel, where you need to talk to Corundum to be transported to the dungeon 
area.

Gardenia

Run forward and you'll get a scene explaining what to do with the giant eggs. 
Shoot the first one with the Sorcerer's Ring and fight the monster to receive 
1 Red Sage. Pull the nearby boulder all the way to the right and push it off 
the right edge, then run across it to the right and shoot the giant egg there.
Defeating the monsters gets you 2 Peach Gels. Continue to the right and run up
to the giant boulder. Push it off the right edge so that it falls on the giant 
egg below. Now jump down the ladder and run left to open a chest containing 1 
Elixir. Now shoot the egg on the right for 2 Sacrosanct Bottles then follow the
path north.

Shoot the first egg you come to and fight the worms to get 4 Life Bottles. Go 
north when you can and shove the boulder off the left edge. Go back south and 
continue left, circling around south and right to a chest containing 2 Grape 
Gels. Now go all the way left and shoot the egg to get 3 Panacea Bottles. Now 
jump down the ladder to the south and go shoot the egg there for 2 Miracle 
Gels. Climb back up the ladder and head north, then right to grab a chest 
containing 2 Specifics. Now go north through the door.

In this next room, ignore everything and run straight north, through the center
door. In here you'll find a Save Point, a chest, and the path forward, but it's
blocked by a web. The chest contains 1 Link Sphere G. Grab it and go back to 
the previous room, then use the Link Sphere G on the pedestal near the center 
of the room. This will turn on all the teleporters in this room. 

From the large round teleporter in the center of the room, go left all the way
to find a working green teleporter and use it. Now head north and enter the 
door. Go forward and jump down the ladder on the left. You'll trigger a scene 
explaining how to lower and raise the bridges. When you have control, run 
across the bridge you just lowered and head north, then left, being careful to
avoid walking on the glowing pink spots on the floor (they'll damage the 
party). You should see one of the large green energy pods. Below it are two 
blue circles that you can use to raise bridges. One blue circle is facing to 
the left, the other facing north. Shoot the one facing to the left to raise a 
bridge in the upper left area. Shoot the green energy pod to lower a different
bridge, then climb the nearby ladder and go left, then up the bridge you just 
raised to reach a chest with 2 Miracle Gels inside. From there, go right and up
to reach a chest containing 1 Eclipse Circlet.

Go back to that bridge you climbed up and jump back down. Now shoot the blue 
circle facing north to raise a bridge back up. Climb the ladder again and go 
right this time, following the path to another ladder that you can jump down. 
At the bottom, go directly right and climb the next ladder up. Go north, then 
left, and follow the path to a chest with 2 Treats inside. Now go back to where
you when left and go right this time, following this path to a chest with 1 
All-Divide inside.

Go back to the last ladder you climbed up and jump back down it. You should see
three red energy bods and blue circles below them. Shoot all three blue 
circles, then climb the ladder again. Run left and follow the path up and 
around to a chest containing a Star Hat. Now go back and head right from the 
top of the ladder and follow the path up and right through the door. Burn the 
egg here, then look for a spot toward the left where you can jump down from.
Once at the bottom, save if you wish, then exit south.

Now, from the pedestal where you placed the Link Sphere M, go right and use the
working green teleporter to cross to the next platform. Go south and open the 
chest for a Red Chamomile. Now examine the metal bar to the left of the chest 
to change the direction of the green teleporters. Now continue on the path left
and north to use the green teleporter here. From here, go left of the large 
blue teleporter in the center of the room and use the only working green 
teleporter here. On this new platform, go south to reach a chest with 1 
Heavenly Garb inside. Now continue on this path to the right and use the green
teleporter to get back to the starting platform. 

Go back to that large blue platform in the center of the room and go straight 
right from it. Now use the green teleporter to move to the northern platform 
and climb the ladder. Follow this path and enter the door at the top. 

A few steps into this room, a scene will trigger explaining how the gates and 
bridges work here. When you have control, go straight right as far as you can 
to reach a chest containing 2 Miracle Gels. Go back to that first diamind-
shaped object that you shot in the scene. Shoot it now with the level two 
Sorcerer's Ring ability and it will lower a gate to the north and left that 
blocked a chest. Grab the chest now, as it contians 1 Prism Protector. Go back
and shoot the glowing diamind beside it to raise the platforms back up. 

From here, go straight left and use the level one ability of the ring to shoot
the diamond (they're color-coded, so from now on just use the ability level 
that matches the color of the diamond). From there, run all the way right and 
slightly north to reach a chest with an Amethyst inside. Go back left, to where
you first entered this room, and go north to a glowing green diamond that was 
previously blocked by an orange gate (that we just lowered). Shoot it then go 
south and right to shoot the glowing orange diamond. 

Now go back south, to where you first entered the room, and go right, then 
north across the green and orange platforms we raised, and all the way north to
a chest containing 2 Peach Gels. From the chest, take the southern path going 
left until you reach a green diamond you can shoot. After shooting it, go back 
and take the north path going left. Keep going left until you find a glowing 
orange diamond. Shoot it then go back right and south to a chest containing 1 
Golden Helm. Continue going right and you'll see a blue diamond to the north.
Shoot it then go south and left all the way to find a glowing green diamond. 
Shoot it, then go right and take the first south path you can. There will be 
a glowing blue diamond, so shoot it to raise the final platform. 

Go north as far as you can and then left across the three platforms you raised
and enter the door. Just like on the other side, burn the egg and jump down to
the Save Point. Be sure to save! Now head north up the center path to fight the
boss.

Boss Fight: Abendhohle and Gardenia Worms
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Let your party take out the Gardenia Worms while you deal with Abendhohle. The
smaller worms are weak to water/ice and Abendhohle is weak to fire. Don't use 
earth attacks. A while after you take out the smaller worms, they'll respawn, 
but you will get some time to team up on Abendhohle and hammer him, and the 
worms will just keep interrupting your casters if you don't deal with them, so
it's definitely worth it to keep taking them out. Ines is a great choice to 
bring to this fight, as her strong physical and ice attacks can take out the 
small worms pretty easily. Kohaku's fire artes are great against Abendhohle as
well.

After the battle, it'd be a good idea to run back down to the nearby Save Point
and save again. Now continue through the door beyond where the giant worm was. 
There are two chests in this next room. One in the north left corner (1 Last 
Crusader) and one on the right, behind some rocks (1 Elixir). There are also 
two large teleporters. The first one can take you back to the entrance. This is
handy if you want to restock on items or finish up some sidequests. Otherwise, 
use the large teleporter to the north.

Head north here to reach a healing Save Point. Use it! Then proceed north to 
face the final boss. You'll get a brief skit, which is your cue to get your 
party/equipment/skills ready. Head through the door at the top to trigger a 
scene and the final battles.

Boss Fight: Gardenia Core
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is Creed's first form. He's weak to light attacks and strong against dark
attacks. As always, turn off all dark-based attacks. I would also recommend 
turning off everyone's weaker artes, if you haven't done so already. Kor and 
Chal can do major damage here, since they both have strong light artes, but 
pretty much any non-dark high level arte will work. Beryl's Indignation is 
good. Be sure to bring someone who can heal. Hisui is my choice since he has 
strong party-healing spells and he's a long-range fighter so he tends to stay 
out of the enemy's way. Remember to use your Mystic Artes or Dual Mystic Artes
if you have them.

You'll see another scene, which will lead directly into the next battle.

Boss Fight: Creed
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is basically a harder version of the previous fight. He's still weak to 
light, but now he's not strong against any particular element. He teleports 
around a lot, which is annoying, and he has a Mystic Arte that will more than 
likely kill any character it hits. Fortunately, it only hits one character. Use
your strongest attacks and use healing items if you need to, since they're a 
lot faster than spells. Dual Mystic Artes are very useful here.

After this, you can save Clear Data, which you can use to start New Game+.

04.) Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

This section is for questions I see asked often in the message boards. Some of 
these were already addressed in the walkthrough, but I put them here again so 
that the answers are easy to find. If you have a question that's not listed 
here, feel free to contact me.

Q: How do I get new weapons?

A: In this game, you can't buy new weapons at shops, as each character has a 
particular Soma they use and Soma's seem to be pretty rare in this world. 
However, you can unlock new forms of their Soma's by using the Soma menu (the 
same one that unlocks skills and artes). 

Q: What are the books I can buy in shops for?

A: The books basically give you more options for setting up actions for your 
characters to perform in battle when you use the Priorities function in the 
Strategy menu. 

Q: What's the purpose of increasing the bonds between characters?

A: Increasing the bonds allows certain skills to be shared between characters.
It also helps toward unlocking the Dual Mystic Artes. When certain pairings 
reach level seven bonds, they can visit the large tree in Cind'rella to learn 
the Dual Mystic Artes. This can only be done late in the game, however.

Q: Where's the airship? 

A: You don't get the airship until fairly late in the game, at least compared 
to other Tales games. It's a pretty big plot point, so I can't really describe
how or when you get it without risking spoilers. 

Q: I bought some DLC costumes but when I try to put them on, I can't find them.
Where are they?!

A: When you bring up the Items section in the menu, you'll notice that there 
are tabs for different types of items. The very last tab is for DLC items. You
must "use" the DLC costumes for them to be available for use. 

Q: How long is this game?

A: This a fairly subjective question, as it depends on so many things like how
many sidequests you do, if you do any level grinding, how fast you read the 
subtitles, whether or not you view the skits, etc. Giving you an answer in 
hours is pretty much meaningless. So I'll put it this way: I personally found 
the game a bit shorter than an average Tales game, but standard length for a 
JRPG. 

Q: What about the trophies?

A: I have very little interest in trophies, so I don't have a section for them
in this guide, but there are fantastic trophy guides/roadmaps for this game 
available out there, so I suggest using one of those. 

Q: I'm stuck in Mineran! How do I get back to the world map?

A: Head all the way south from Cind'rella and, at the bottom, you should see a
round metal contraption on the right. Examine it to return to Organica (the 
world map).

Q: Why did they change Shingu's name to Kor? Why did they change *insert 
item/arte/location name here*?

A: While I can understand a few of the changes, many of them make no sense to 
me, especially the Shingu>Kor change. It's extremely clear to anyone who can 
hear that his name is Shingu. The localization seems to use a fairly loose 
translation, where they keep the meaning mostly intact but add a lot of "fluff"
to the dialogue, including accents and slang that just were not needed. Nobody 
seems to know why.
