Contact Information ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I. Introduction ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My alias is PKT_Paladin, but that is not my name. For this FAQ you don't need to know my real name =). Please don't steal anything from this FAQ for your site or for your own FAQ unless you provide some sort of credit. I wrote everything in this FAQ. This is a FAQ/Walkthrough for Tenchi Muyo! RPG for the SNES. It originally started out as a Character Guide, but then I got really into this game and was motivated to expand it to cover everything. In the Character's information section, you will see a number of symbols. If you see (M) next to an ability, it means that this character has to morph before being able to use it. For the Strength, Defense, and Movement columns, a number with a slash and another number next to it means that the first number is prior to morphing and the second is after morphing. For asterisks, read below in the Character analysis to see what it means. Everything else should be self-explanatory. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ II. Revision History ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ v.90 : Contains all of the information about all of the characters which includes all of their attacks and all of their statistics. How to obtain them is also included as well as an analysis. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ III. How to Play ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A. Controls These are the controls for the game on the SNES: L - Nothing R - Cancel X - Nothing Y - Nothing A - Confirm B - Cancel Besides battling, the only thing you will be doing in this game is using the A button to select your location and to advance text. A. Battling Here are the battle menus: Normal Menu: ----------- | Move | - Move your character | Attack | - Select an available attack from the list and use it. | End | - End your turn ----------- Menu when a character has 8 Kiai: ----------- | Move | - Move your character | Attack | - Select an available attack from the list and use it. | Morph | - Morph your character into a stronger form of him/herself | End | - End your turn ----------- Menu when a character is morphed: ----------- | Move | - Move your character | Attack | - Select an available attack from the list and use it. | Revert | - Return to your character's original form | End | - End your turn ----------- Before you move or, the floor will become darkened with exception to the light areas next to your character. These areas are the places he/she can move to. Before an attack, the floor will light up with exception to a few dark areas next to your characters. This is the range the attack will cover. For attacks that hit a single enemy, an arrow will select which enemy your character will attack. For attacks that hit multiple enemies, there will be no arrow and all enemies in the range will be hit. Morphing is a way for a character to receive stronger attacks as well as a higher Strength and Defense value. Morphing is important in winning battles when necessary, so it is highly recommended to morph to get your strongest attacks. Here is an explanation of each statistic: Level: After killing a certain amount of enemies, your character will advance a level and will increase his/her statistics and sometimes learn a new attack. The maximum level is 8. HP: HP is a number which represents the amount of life that your character has. There are two numbers: Maximum HP and Current HP. Maximum HP is the maximum amount of life your character can have and Current HP is the amount he/she has now. If the maximum HP value reaches zero, your character will be wounded and will not be able to participate in the battle any longer. Str: Strength: This value represents how strong all of your characters attacks are. The higher the number, the more damage each of your attacks will do to the enemy. Def: Defense: This number represents how well your character takes attacks. The higher the number, the less damage will be received from the enemy. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ IV. Analysis: Tenchi is the main character, so by all RPG logic, he has to be the best, right? He has the best attacks throughout the game with exception to Katsuhito with an above average HP rating, average Strength rating, and average Defense rating. His strongest moves have excellent range and deal quite a bit of damage. Since he is pretty much average, there aren't too many drawbacks for Tenchi. ----------------- B. Aeka ----------------- Moves & Statistics: ------------------------------------------------------------------- |Level| HP | Strength | Defense | Move | Learned Ability | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 1 | 40 | 08 | 35 | 3 | Oshioki | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 2 | 52 | 11 | 38 | 3 | Tairokyu Zaykyou | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 3 | 64 | 15 / 18 | 42 / 52 | 3 | (M)Jyuubakugekiken | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 4 | 76 | 18 / 21 | 45 / 55 | 3 | Oshidashi | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 5 | 92 | 23 / 26 | 50 / 60 | 3 | (M)Raigekihouden | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 6 | 108 | 28 / 31 | 55 / 65 | 3 | Oshitsubushi | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 7 | 124 | 34 / 37 | 61 / 71 | 3 | (M)Kaitenkouden | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 8 | 140 | 42 / 45 | 69 / 79 | 3 | (M)Chouryuuoku Dan | ------------------------------------------------------------------- Note: The numbers of the increment in statistics per Level Up varies, but what I've tried to do is give the reader a general idea of the strength each character has at each level. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Ability Name | Lv | Targets | Range | Pwr. | Notes | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Oshioki | 1 | One | Adjacent | 18 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- |Tairyokyu Zouykyou | 2 | One | Three (linear)| | Healing | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Oshidashi | 4 | One | Two (linear) | 45 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Oshitsubushi | 6 | One | Three (linear)| 59 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Jyuubakugekiken | 3 | One | Adjacent | 49 |Morph Ability | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Raigekihouden | 5 | One | Two (linear) | 71 |Morph Ability | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Kaitenkouden | 7 | One | Three (linear)| 91 |Morph Ability | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Chouryuuoku Dan | 8 | All | 5x5 Square | 85 |Morph Ability | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Where to Find Aeka: You automatically begin the game with Aeka. Analysis: In the beginning of the game, Aeka serves as a healer, but that is the only good time to use her. After the beginning of the game, her healing abilities are out-performed by Kamidake, Sasami, and Washu. She has average HP, Strength, and Defense, and her attacks are nothing to brag about. ----------------- C. Ryoko ----------------- Moves & Statistics: ------------------------------------------------------------------- |Level| HP | Strength | Defense | Move | Learned Ability | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 1 | 40 | 09 | 32 | 3*| Light Sword | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 2 | 50 | 11 | 34 | 3*| Plasma Beam | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 3 | 60 | 15 / 17 | 38 / 49 | 3*| (M)Plasma Sword | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 4 | 70 | 18 / 21 | 41 / 53 | 3*| Light Slay | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 5 | 96 | 22 / 25 | 45 / 57 | 3*/4*| (M)M Rush | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 6 | 112 | 23 / 31 | 51 / 63 | 3*/4*| Beam Squall | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 7 | 136 | 34 / 37 | 57 / 69 | 3*/4*| (M)Double Slash | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 8 | 152 | 42 / 45 | 65 / 77 | 3*/4*| (M)Giga Hand | ------------------------------------------------------------------- Note: The numbers of the increment in statistics per Level Up varies, but what I've tried to do is give the reader a general idea of the strength each character has at each level. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Ability Name| Lv | Targets | Range | Pwr. | Notes | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Light Sword | 1 | One | Two (Linear) | 15 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Plasma Beam | 2 | One |Three (Linear) | 29 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Light Slay | 4 | One | Adjacent | 53 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Beam Squall | 6 | All | 5x5 Square | 46 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Plasma Sword | 3 | One | 5x5 Square | 34 |Morph Ability | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | M Rush | 5 | One |Three (linear) | 46 |Morph Ability | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Double Slash | 7 | One | 7x7 Square | 62 |Morph Ability | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Giga Hand | 8 | One | Adjacent | 105 |Morph Ability | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Where to Find Ryoko: You automatically begin the game with Ryoko. Analysis: * = Ryoko can fly, which means she can hover over terrain that other characters can't walk on. Ryoko has a good increment in statistics as she improves throughout the game. At Level 8, she has a decent HP rating, average Strength, average Defense, and an excellent movement rate. On top of that, her techniques have good range and she can fly, which means she can move over water and onto terrain that most other characters in the game cannot. Her only disadvantage, however, is that she leaves your party near the end of the game and you get her back just before the last boss so if she isn't at her maximum level by then she won't be, and therefore, you won't get her to her maximum potential. ----------------- D. Mihoshi ----------------- Moves & Statistics: ------------------------------------------------------------------- |Level| HP | Strength | Defense | Move | Learned Ability | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 1 | 36 | 07 | 30 | 2 | Blaster | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 2 | 44 | 09 | 32 | 2 | Teddy Bomb | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 3 | 52 | 12 / 14 | 35 / 45 | 2 | (M)Freeze Beam | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 4 | 54 | 16 / 18 | 39 / 49 | 2 | B Blaster | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 5 | 84 | 21 / 23 | 44 / 54 | 2 | (M)Rail Gun | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 6 | 92 | 27 / 29 | 50 / 60 | 2 | Hell Fire | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 7 | 104 | 34 / 36 | 57 / 67 | 2 | (M)Bingo Launcher | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 8 | 128 | 42 / 44 | 65 / 75 | 2 | (M)Brave Pal | ------------------------------------------------------------------- Note: The numbers of the increment in statistics per Level Up varies, but what I've tried to do is give the reader a general idea of the strength each character has at each level. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Ability Name| Lv | Targets | Range | Pwr. | Notes | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Blaster | 1 | One | Three (linear)| 19 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Teddy Bomb | 2 | One | Three (linear)| 33 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | B Blaster | 4 | One | 7x7 Square | 49 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Hell Fire | 6 | One | Four (linear) | 57 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Freeze Beam | 3 | One | Three (linear)| 52 |Morph Ability | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Rail Gun | 5 | One | Four (linear) | 105 |Morph Ability | | | | | | |Critical Hit | | | | | | |or a Miss | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Bingo Launcher | 7 | One | Four (linear) | 86 |Morph Ability | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Brave Pal | 8 | All | 7x7 Square | 116 |Morph Ability | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Where to Find Mihoshi: You automatically begin the game with Mihoshi. Analysis: Similar to her role in Tenchi Muyo!, which is to play the blonde dunce on the Galaxy Police force who has no clue what she's doing and who is a constant failure, Mihoshi is a not a valuable asset to your team. All of her attacks have the capability of missing every now and then unlike every other character in the game. She has a very low HP value, an average Strength rating, and an average Defense rating. Although she can only move two spaces, each of her moves has an excellent range which makes up for it, possibly being the only thing she's got going for her. ----------------- E. Ryo-Ohki: ----------------- Moves & Statistics: ------------------------------------------------------------------- |Level| HP | Strength | Defense | Move | Learned Ability | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 1 | 32 | 06 | 28 | 4*| Catfood | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 2 | 36 | 09 | 31 | 4*| Playtime | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 3 | 48 | 13 / 17 | 35 / 49 | 4*/5*| (M)Lot of Kitties | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 4 | 56 | 17 / 21 | 39 / 53 | 4*/5*| Carrot Field | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 5 | 68 | 23 / 27 | 45 / 59 | 4*/5*| (M)Cat Crystal | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 6 | 80 | 30 / 34 | 52 / 60 | 4*/5*|Super Carrot Harvest | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 7 | 100 | 38 / 42 | 60 / 74 | 4*/5*| Bouncing Kitty | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 8 | 144 | 45 / 49 | 67 / 81 | 4*/5*| Ryo-oh-ki | ------------------------------------------------------------------- Note: The numbers of the increment in statistics per Level Up varies, but what I've tried to do is give the reader a general idea of the strength each character has at each level. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Ability Name| Lv | Targets | Range | Pwr. | Notes | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Cat Food | 1 | One | Adjacent | 19 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Play Time | 2 | One | Two (linear) | 25 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Carrot Field | 4 | One | 7x7 Square | 35 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | S. After the battle, she joins your party. Analysis: * = Ryo-Ohki can hop so she can jump over characters, enemies, and obstacles in battle to increase her movement capabilities. Sadly, even with the Galaxy Police supporting Mihoshi, Ryo-Ohki is better than Mihoshi. All of Ryo-Ohki's techniques have excellent range with exception for a few of the first ones she learns and they deal mediocre damage. She has excellent statistics and can be a vital asset to the team. ----------------- F. If instead you go into the front of the ship, you can get her after defeating Kusumi for the first time. Analysis: You absolutely cannot beat this game without Sasami's help. When she isn't morphed, she has a technique called Tsunami's Bless which completely heals every member in your party in a certain radius which is absolutely necessary for your team to survive in the battles near the end of the game. Although she has a low HP rating and Defense rating, this technique will single-handedly restore all of your other characters' HP's allowing them to take her place in the role of a good fighter. ----------------- G. Analysis: He's got the highest HP rating, a high Strength rating, and a high Defense rating. He can't move very far, but most of his attacks are lethal and with decent range so it isn't difficult to make up for that. On top of that, strongest attack does the most damage out of every attack in the game. ----------------- H. Washu ----------------- Moves & Statistics: ------------------------------------------------------------------- |Level| HP | Strength | Defense | Move | Learned Ability | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 1 | N/A | N/A | N/A | N/A | Mecha Punch | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 2 | N/A | N/A | N/A | N/A | Medicine | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 3 | N/A | N/A | N/A | N/A | (M)Needle Attack | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 4 | 88 | 20 / 22 | 46 / 54 | 2*/3*| Cheer | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 5 | 104 | 26 / 28 | 52 / 60 | 2*/3*| (M)Super Medicine | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 6 | 128 | 32 / 34 | 58 / 66 | 2*/3*| Washu-chan Doll | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 7 | 136 | 38 / 40 | 64 / 72 | 2*/3*| (M)Super Prayer| ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 8 | 148 | 45 / 47 | 71 / 79 | 2*/3*| (M)Washu Party | ------------------------------------------------------------------- Note: The numbers of the increment in statistics per Level Up varies, but what I've tried to do is give the reader a general idea of the strength each character has at each level. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Ability Name| Lv | Targets | Range | Pwr. | Notes | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Mecha Punch | 1 | One | Adjacent | 46 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Medicine | 2 | One | 5x5 Square | N/A | Restores HP | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Cheer | 4 | One | 5x5 Square | N/A | Raises Str.| -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Washu-chan Doll | 6 | One | Three (linear)| 76 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Needle Attack | 3 | One | Adjacent | 70 |Morph Ability | | | | | | | Drains HP | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Super Medicine | 5 | One | 7x7 Square | N/A |Morph Ability | | | | | | | Restores HP | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Super Prayer | 7 | All | 7x7 Square | N/A |Morph Ability | | | | | | | Raises Str.| -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Washu Party | 8 | All | 7x7 Square | 90 |Morph Ability | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Where to Find Washu: When you go into Mizuki's spaceship, go to the Container area. Washu will be inside and she will join you. Analysis: * = Washu can teleport so she does not have to walk around objects like almost everyone else. Washu's got the ability to restore HP, do lethal damage, and increase other characters' Strength all in one person! Her stats are average and she's got great range and a good combination of techniques. She has an excellent restoration technique for weakened characters and an excellent final technique to damage every enemy in a certain range. Her most important technique, since her healing abilities are out-performed by Sasami, would be her Cheer technique which raises one person's attack power. ----------------- I. Azaka ----------------- Moves & Statistics: ------------------------------------------------------------------- |Level| HP | Strength | Defense | Move | Learned Ability | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 1 | N/A | N/A | N/A | N/A | Super Squash | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 2 | 52 | 15 | 47 | 1 | Exploding Light | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 3 | 56 | 19 | 51 | 1 | None | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 4 | 60 | 24 | 56 | 1 | Power Drop | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 5 | 82 | 28 | 60 | 1 | None | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 6 | 104 | 34 | 66 | 1 | None | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 7 | 126 | 39 | 71 | 1 | None | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | 8 | 148 | 45 | 77 | 1 | None | ------------------------------------------------------------------- Note: The numbers of the increment in statistics per Level Up varies, but what I've tried to do is give the reader a general idea of the strength each character has at each level. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Ability Name| Lv | Targets | Range | Pwr. | Notes | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Super Squash | 1 | One | 5x5 Square | 46 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Exploding Light | 2 | All | 3x3 Square | 54 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Power Drop | 4 | One | Four (linear) | 90 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Where to Find Azaka: Azaka joins you, sometimes, if you go into the spaceship from the northern path. He and Kamidake fly from the ground. Analysis: Azaka can only move one space per turn which alone makes him a crappy character. The only advantage he has is the move Power Drop which can do an enormous amount of damage to one enemy. His statistics are average, and even though Power Drop is powerful, it is nothing compared to everyone else's abilities. ----------------- J. Where to Find Kamidake: Kamidake joins you, sometimes, if you go into the spaceship from the northern path. He and Azaka fly from the ground. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Ability Name| Lv | Targets | Range | Pwr. | Notes | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Oshidashi | 1 | One | Adjacent | 64 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Random Heal | 2 | One | 5x5 Square | N/A | Restores HP | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Healing Plus | 4 | One | 7x7 Square | N/A | Restores HP | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Analysis: Azaka is easily the crappiest character in the game. His only attack is only effective against an adjacent enemy and he isn't close to being the best healer in the game. Since his only attack sucks, he can't gain levels easily and he can't move far enough away to escape all of the enemies that kill him so quickly. ----------------- K. Where to Find Yukinojou: Go to Mihoshi's shuttle in the beginning of the game to get him after a battle. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Ability Name| Lv | Targets | Range | Pwr. | Notes | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Hot Temperature | 1 | One | Four (linear)| 29 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Boom Boom | 2 | One | Four (linear)| 49 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | The End? | 4 | One |Three (linear) | 97 | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Analysis: Yukinojou can only move one space, but this is made up for by the excellent range for each of his attacks. However, this does not make him a vital character. The End? is a powerful attack and can do a lot of damage early in the game, but that's the best time to use him if you choose to do so. His HP value his the worst in the game so he is killed constantly and he can't escape because of his horrible movement value. ----------------- L. Analysis: She has a high HP rating, excellent Defense, and average Strength.... at Level 8. Mizuki starts in your party at Level 1 which means she is weak and she can only do one attack. If you have the patience and enough stratagetic knowledge to increase her abilities and for her to receive all of her techniques, she is an excellent character to have. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ V. Walkthrough ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A. Chapter 1: Kidnap of Sasami The game begins with Sasami announcing that breakfast is ready. Ryoko says that she's hungry, so Aeka calls her rude for saying that first thing in the morning. Ryoko tells Aeka to shut up, and Sasami asks them to stop fighting. Sasami and Ryo-Ohki go to fetch Washu for breakfast, and Ryoko starts trouble again by hugging Tenchi. Aeka gets angry and tells her to get off, but Ryoko insists she isn't being bothersome. Then, some monsters appear and it is time to fight them. ------------------------ BATTLE 1: Tenchi's House ------------------------ Enemies: Kusanagi x4 Party: Tenchi, Aeka, Ryoko, Mihoshi Recommended Party Members: Tenchi, Aeka, Ryoko, Mihoshi Recommened Level: 1 This, being the first battle in the game, is quite simple. If you choose the most horrible strategy I guarantee that you will still win this fight. Take two characters and group them together for each to attack one of the enemies. If Mihoshi didn't screw up her attack, this will almost assure two deaths per round. If not, it will take a maximum of about 5 rounds to win this battle. After the battle, Ryoko will being hugging Tenchi again, saying that she was frightened. Aeka yells at her and tells her to get off of him, but Ryoko just tells her to leave them alone. Afterwards, Mihoshi spots a guest who has been waiting in Tenchi's house for a while. She flies over and says that her name is Mizuki and that the monsters that Tenchi fought were only a test. She commands your team to come along, but they refuse, so she kidnaps Sasami. She says that she'll return Princess Sasami if your team manages to even scratch her in a battle. Ryoko likes the idea, and thus your second battle begins. ------------------------ BATTLE 2: Tenchi's House ------------------------ Enemies: Kusanagi x3, Mizuki Party: Tenchi, Aeka, Ryoko, Mihoshi Recommended Party Members: Tenchi, Aeka, Ryoko, Mihoshi Recommended Level: 1 - 2 This is another simple battle. All that you have to do to win is hit Mizuki (so DON'T use Mihoshi) once. If you want a little bit of experience points then you can kill the enemies that accompany Mizuki, but there will plenty of time to do that later. Usually, the Kusanagis will get into a formation and Mizuki will walk right up to your party without attacking, so you can pick any member to take her out. After the fight, Mizuki will deny ever having made a promise to return Princess Sasami for hitting her. She says that Tenchi will have another chance to get Princess Sasami back if they go to the other side of a mountain to her spaceship. Forewarning your party about monsters on the way, she teleports away. They wonder what happened to Ryo-Ohki so they go and look for her. --- MAP --- Places to go: Carrot Field, Mihoshi's Shuttle, River, Hot Springs, Funaho, Main Gates Although it it up to you to choose a path, the first place this FAQ is going to take you is the Carrot Fields. It contains the easiest enemies and a secret character. ----------------------- BATTLE 3: Carrot Fields ----------------------- Enemies: Ninjiin x4 Party: Tenchi, Aeka, Ryoko, Mihoshi Recommended Party Members: Tenchi, Aeka, Ryoko, Mihoshi Recommended Level: 1 - 2 The enemies here are very easy to defeat. They only have 18 HP each, so Level 2 characters can kill them in one hit and Level 1 characters can usually kill them in two hits. They move frequently, however, so you have to make sure that you can protect your weakest characters. To do so, block the two rows with your two strongest characters. Then, these will be the only two attacked unless someone is right behind that character. If Aeka is on Level 2, use her to heal those who have been injured greatly. Another strategy, probably a better one because damage is more equally distributed, is to have all of your characters group together. That way, the damage is spread amongst them and you can take all of the Ninjiin's out on the second round. After the battle, the party will comfort Ryo-Ohki who will tell them that Sasami has been kidnapped. Tenchi invites Ryo-Ohki to go along with them to save Sasami as well and she gladly accepts. The next destination is Mihoshi's Shuttle. When you arrive at the shuttle, Mihoshi will tell Tenchi that she is going to the ship to get her gun and she asks him to wait outside a bit. Tenchi agrees but asks her to hurry up. Mihoshi goes into the ship and tells Yukinojou that princess Sasami has been kidnapped. Mihoshi can't find her gun, and just as Tenchi is becoming impatient, Mihoshi leaves the shuttle only to be attacked by monsters. --------------------------- BATTLE 4: Mihoshi's Shuttle --------------------------- Enemies: Doryu x2, Kusanagi x2 Party: Tenchi, Aeka, Ryoko, Mihoshi, Ryo-Ohki Recommended Party Members: Tenchi, Aeka, Ryoko, Ryo-Ohki Recommended Level: 1 - 3 The Kusanagis are still easy to defeat so they shouldn't be a problem, but the two Doryus will be a little more difficult to defeat. They have twice as much HP as any enemy you've fought (with the exception of Mizuki..) before and they have a high Defense rating compared to all the other enemies. They can only move one space at a time though, which will give you the chance to ambush them as they creep up to your party. Usually, the Kusanagis will approach your party. If you stay where you are, collecting Kiai, one will finally reach your first party member and attach him/her. When this happens, pair two people up and have them fight two per Kusanagi and you should be able to take them down in one round. Once they are out of the way, have Aeka heal your injured party members and then collect Kiai as you creep toward the Doryus. When they move until one space from your party, that's when you ambush them. Concentrate your entire force on just one of them and they will go down. After the fight, Mihoshi will cry about how frightened she was and Ryoko will make fun of her for doing so. Then, you will be back on the map. The next destination is the Hot Springs. When they approach the hot springs, Katsuhito will be under attack by the enemies. Tenchi and the others run to save him. --------------------- BATTLE 5: Hot Springs --------------------- Enemies: Suiko x2, Kusanagi x2 Party: Tenchi, Aeka, Ryoko, Mihoshi, Ryo-Ohki Recommended Party Members: Tenchi, Aeka, Ryoko, Ryo-Ohki Recommended Level: 2 - 3 Until you make your move, the enemies will usually remain stationed at their starting positions, so you'll have to make your moves fast. Use Ryoko to fly over the water and kill the Kusanagis will Tenchi, Aeka, and Ryo-Ohki run down one side. If Ryoko is hit by a Suiko, it won't matter, because Aeka can heal her afterwards. Then, when your party is just about in the middle, have them attack anything they can simply to eliminate the enemies. Usually, Ryo-Ohki is weak at this point so it would be wise to use her on the other Kusanagi or any other ones that might appear at this point. Aeka and Tenchi can attack one Suiko with Oshioki and Kiaten Giri to knock them out and the other one can be defeated with a combination of the rest of your party members. After the battle, Katsuhito will wonder what is happening and ask Tenchi. Tenchi will tell him the story, and Katsuhito will use that as an explanation of his strange feelings. He will join you afterwards. Now that you are on the map again, return to Mihoshi's shuttle. Upon arrival, Mihoshi will go to her ship to get Yukinojou, but will be attacked by enemies. --------------------------- BATTLE 4: Mihoshi's Shuttle --------------------------- Enemies: Doryu x2, Kusanagi x2 Party: Tenchi, Aeka, Ryoko, Mihoshi, Ryo-Ohki, Katsuhito Recommended Party Members: Tenchi, Aeka, Ryoko, Katsuhito Recommended Level: 2 - 3 You can use a different strategy this time since Tenchi, Aeka, and Ryoko are all at higher levels. You can run right up through the enemies and kill them all by charging them since none of your characters are weak enough to be killed before they can be healed by Aeka. After the battle, Yukinojou is welcomed into the group by Tenchi and it is back to the map. Since all of the secret characters have been recruited, you can go around gaining levels. I suggest that all of your party members be increased to around levels 4 or 5 before continuing, and the easiest place to do this is to go back and forth between the Carrot Fields and Mihoshi's shuttle. Once you have obtained a few useful techniques and your whole party is on about Level 4 or 5, then go to the River. --------------- BATTLE 6: River --------------- Enemies: Doryu x2, Hein x2 Party: Tenchi, Aeka, Ryoko, Mihoshi, Ryo-Ohki, Katsuhito, Yukinojou Recommended Party Members: Tenchi, Aeka, Ryoko, Ryo-Ohki Recommended Level: 4 - 5 At at least Level 4, the enemies here will not be a problem. For the first round, end everybody's turn. The two Heins will approach your party and before attacking they will stop right in front of you. Take them both out with all of your characters combined using the strongest attacks which are now available because of the Kiai that was built up from the first round. Then, have your party take out the two Doryus. If more Heins appear, take them out: they will not be as much of a threat if only one of them is there rather than two of them. After the battle, the party continues to Funaho. Upon arrival enemies will sprout from the ground and it is again time to fight them. ---------------- BATTLE 7: Funaho ---------------- Enemies: Suiko x4 Party: Tenchi, Aeka, Ryoko, Mihoshi, Ryo-Ohki, Katsuhito, Yukinojou Recommended Party Members: Anyone not on Level 5. Recommended Level: 4 - 5 This is a very simple battle. The enemies cannot move, so stay a couple of turns in the starting positions to build up Kiai. Then, morph all of your characters who can morph and attack one Suiko at a time. If you don't do this quickly enough, Rekkas will appear but they are easily defeated in one or two hits. After this battle, Tenchi will make sure that everyone in the party is okay and then they will continue on to the Main Gates of the spaceship. Mizuki will be waiting there, and unfortunately she will make you fight more monsters because she wasn't quite expecting you. -------------------- BATTLE 8: Main Gates -------------------- Enemies: Rekka x3, Kisaragi Party: Tenchi, Aeka, Ryoko, Mihoshi, Ryo-Ohki, Katsuhito, Yukinojou Recommended Party Members: Aeka, Ryoko, Ryo-Ohki, Mihoshi Recommended Level: 4 - 5 This is actually a challenging battle. First, move all of your characters to the top left. The enemies are right there, so if you can attack in the midst of your movement with your characters than do so. Ryoko, Ryo-Ohki, and Mihoshi all have decent movement and range, and Aeka can heal which will be necessary in this battle. Kisaragi is the only threat to your party so be sure to heal quickly when he attacks. First, concentrate all of your power on the three Rekkas because although Kisaragi is the biggest threat, the combination of the three Rekkas are more of a threat. After those three are dead, kill Kisaragi and any more Rekkas that appear during the battle. After the battle, Azaka and Kamidake will fly from the ground and ask to join with princess Aeka. Aeka, after being yelled at by Ryoko, leads everyone into the ship. Once everyone enters, Mihoshi will hug Tenchi because she is scared of the ship. Aeka will scold her, but then Ryoko will do it too. Ryoko thinks there is nothing wrong with it, but of course Aeka does. Ryoko tells her that being angry all the time isn't good, and Aeka blamse it on Ryoko. Tenchi asks Ryoko to get off of him. Then, monsters appear and Ryoko warns Aeka that she had better not be spare baggage. Then, the battle begins. ----------------------- BATTLE 8: Ship Entrance ----------------------- Enemies: Kagami x2, Mizukami x2 Party: Tenchi, Aeka, Ryoko, Mihoshi, Ryo-Ohki, Katsuhito, Yukinojou, Azaka, Kamidake, Recommended Party Members: Aeka, Katsuhito, Ryo-Ohki, Ryoko Recommended Level: 5 This is an easy battle. Group all of your party members together so that Aeka can heal them easily if they are hurt. Use strong attacks to take down the weaker enemies first, and then concentrate on the stronger Mizukamis. If you attack forcefully against one enemy at a time this battle should be a breeze. --- MAP --- Places to go: Block A, Block B, Container, Factory, Prison, Main Gates, Back Gates, Control Room The first place of business is the Container, so go there. When you get there, Tenchi will wonder where he is. Ryoko assumes it is a storage area, but then all of a sudden something flies by quickly. Then, Washu appears with her fans and shocks everyone. She says that she is there to investigate strange energy readings, and Tenchi explains what happened to Sasami. Then, Washu gets a feeling that the person behind all of this is Kusumi, one of her former rivals from the Milky Way Science Academy. Then, monsters appear to break up the conversation. ------------------- BATTLE 9: Container ------------------- Enemies: Houdain, Benisasori Party: Tenchi, Aeka, Ryoko, Mihoshi, Ryo-Ohki, Katsuhito, Yukinojou, Azaka, Kamidake, Washu Recommended Party Members: Anyone Recommended Level: 5 Since the Benisasoris will try and run away from you, attack the Houdains with whichever characters you have chosen. You should be able to take them all out without too much of an effort and you then can focus your efforts on the Benisasoris that ran to the other side of the screen. It is difficult to take them out, but they won't cause much damage so you can have fun hitting them for a while with strong attacks. After the battle, Washu will join you to help find Sasami (she already helped in the last battle, but this time she actually says she'll help you find Sasami meaning she has joined permanently). From here, go to Block A. ------------------ BATTLE 10: Block A ------------------ Enemies: Tatsujin x2, Burikin x2 Party: Tenchi, Aeka, Ryoko, Mihoshi, Ryo-Ohki, Katsuhito, Yukinojou, Azaka, Kamidake, Washu Recommended Party Members: Tenchi, Aeka, Ryoko, Katsuhito Recommended Level: 5 Your characters being the battle face to face with the enemy. Use this to your advantage and attack with your strongest attacks. If your characters are strong enough, they should be able to kill the two Tatsujins in one hit, but the Burikins will be something to worry about. A more defensive strategy to this battle would be to move all of your character upwards towards where the Tatsujins start. The way Aeka will be able to reach everyone to heal them and the rest of the characters can fight. If you need to fight defensively in this battle, conentrate all of your fighting on one enemy until it is defeated and then continue the same method, healing those who are injured. Now it is time to head to the prison. Sasami is tied up there, and the party sees her once they enter. Sasami yells at them to help her, and Tenchi reassures her that they'll save her from the enemies that have just appeared. ----------------- BATTLE 11: Prison ----------------- Enemies: Benisasora x2, Buriking x2 Party: Tenchi, Aeka, Ryoko, Mihoshi, Ryo-Ohki, Katsuhito, Yukinojou, Azaka, Kamidake, Washu Recommended Party Members: Tenchi, Aeka, Ryoko, Katsuhito Recommended Level: 5 The Benisasoras are right in front of your party when you begin this battle, and the harder enemies, the Burikings, are further away. Use this to your advantage, taking out the weaker Benisasoras first. Have Tenchi hit both of them the first round with Kaiten Giri and have everyone else use their strongest attacks as well. The Benisasoras will fall, giving you a few rounds to save up Kiai and heal any injured members since the two Burikings will not approach you for a round or two. Occasionally, Benisasoras will appear and you will have to drop them quickly, but they shouldn't be much of a threat. Use Katsuhitos morphed abilities to take away enough damage to defeat those enemies in one hit and have everyone else attack the Burikings once they get close enough to your party and you should win easily. The party's victory will win them back Princess Sasami who is forunately unharmed. Aeka swears that she'll get revenge on Mizuki for kidnapping Sasami like that, and Ryoko agrees to this. Tenchi goes too, wondering why Mizuki wanted to know their strengths. Head back to Block A. Tenchi will be spotted just when the group things they aren't seen and then it is time to fight again. ------------------ BATTLE 10: Block A ------------------ Enemies: Tatsujin x2, Burikin x2 Party: Tenchi, Aeka, Ryoko, Mihoshi, Ryo-Ohki, Katsuhito, Yukinojou, Azaka, Kamidake, Washu, Sasami Recommended Party Members: Tenchi, Aeka, Sasami, Ryoko Recommended Level: 5 Your party is far away from the enemies so you shouldn't have to worry about them for a round. Have your party remain in their starting positions, building up Kiai, and after the two Tatsujins approach attack them and kill them immediately. Then, when the two Burikins approach as well, kill them quickly as well as any other surfacing Tatsujins. Most of the strongest attacks for each character (except Sasami) will kill the enemies. After the battle, go to the Main Gates. If you make your way to the Back Gates instead, here's a strategy for the battle: --------------------- BATTLE 12: Back Gates --------------------- Enemies: Mizukami x2, Burai x2 Party: Tenchi, Aeka, Ryoko, Mihoshi, Ryo-Ohki, Katsuhito, Yukinojou, Azaka, Kamidake, Washu, Sasami Recommended Party Members: Tenchi, Sasami, Ryo-Ohki, Mihoshi Recommended Level: 5 Tenchi will have the highest defense in this battle, so you can send him out and have him to Kaiten Giri to the two Burais right in the front. Then, use the characters in the back to use their long-range attacks and take them out. The two Mizukamis will approach your party but concentrated attacks on one at a time will easily defeat them as well. Now go to Block B. ------------------ BATTLE 13: Block B ------------------ Enemies: Tatsujin x2, Burikin x2 Party: Tenchi, Aeka, Ryoko, Mihoshi, Ryo-Ohki, Katsuhito, Yukinojou, Azaka, Kamidake, Washu, Sasami Recommended Party Members: Tenchi, Ryoko, Katsuhito, Aeka Recommended Level: 5 Have all of your characters perform their strongest attacks on the enemy that is in front of them and the two Tatsujins will fall quickly. Then, have the two party members who killed the two Tatsujins aid the party members who are attacking the Burikins and those two should also fall quickly. From Block B, go to the Factory. A machine will be making Burikins and it is up to Tenchi's party to take them all out. Do so! ------------------ BATTLE 14: Factory ------------------ Enemies: Burikin x4 Party: Tenchi, Aeka, Ryoko, Mihoshi, Ryo-Ohki, Katsuhito, Yukinojou, Azaka, Kamidake, Washu, Sasami Recommended Party Members: Tenchi, Katsuhito, Sasami, Mihoshi Recommended Level: 5 For the first two rounds, build up Kiai and morph with Katsuhito after using his Kaijin technique. Then, after the second round, the enemy will be right next to you. Use your strongest attacks on one enemy at a time and defeat them. It should not be too hard of a battle since the enemies will fall with about 2 attacks each. Once the enemies in the factory are defeated, the machine will stop and the party will exit. If your party is at at least Level 6, continue. Otherwise, stay behind and gain a few levels first. When you get to the Control Room right after the Factory, Mizuki will be there waiting for you. She will act as if she has done nothing wrong, even being surprised at the anger exerted by Aeka and Ryoko. She agrees to tell the party her motives after her one request is fulfilled: She wants a duel with Ryoko. Of course, Ryoko agrees to it and the battle gets underway. ----------------------- BATTLE 15: Control Room ----------------------- Enemies: Mizuki Party: Tenchi, Aeka, Ryoko, Mihoshi, Ryo-Ohki, Katsuhito, Yukinojou, Azaka, Kamidake, Washu, Sasami Recommended Party Members: Ryoko Recommended Level: 6 For the first round, stay where you are. Mizuki will approach you. On the second round, have Ryoko use Light Slay on Mizuki which will nearly defeat her. Mizuki will attack Ryoko, taking only a small amount of life away, but then have Ryoko use Light Slay again and the battle is over. After the battle, Mizuki will run away after being chased by Ryoko. Tenchi will chase Ryoko. Mizuki will be found lying unconscious, and her master, a blue haired girl name Kusumi, will fly in and greet everyone. Washu flies in and is reunited with an old rival whom she does not want to meet. Washu calls her weird and Kusumi becomes angry. Kusumi explains that she had to beat up Mizuki because she failed in her mission to defeat Ryoko. Kusumi hits Ryoko and takes her hostage, saying that she is exchanging Mizuki for Ryoko. Kusumi then thinks Washu is picking a fight with her, and Washu leaves it to Tenchi to fight Kusumis powerful machine. --------------- Battle 16: Ship --------------- Enemies: Ude x2, Amashiro Party: Tenchi, Aeka, Mihoshi, Ryo-Ohki, Katsuhito, Yukinojou, Azaka, Kamidake, Washu, Sasami Recommended Party Members: Tenchi, Washu, Katsuhito, Sasami Recommended Level: 6 For the first few rounds, stand there for a while collecting Kiai. Then, morph everybody except for Washu. Have Washu use Cheer on everybody to raise their attack power and then have them run towards Amashiro in a straight line right in front of it so they aren't hurt by the two Udes. Have Tenchi use his strongest available morphed attack as well as Katsuhito and Sasami while Washu sits in the back of the line using the Medicine technique to heal everyone. This strategy will win the battle in no time at all as long as all of your characters are healed properly. After the battle, Kusumi will fly away swearing revenge on Washu. Then, Mizuki will spring up, suggesting that they follow Kusumi. She wants to join Tenchi because Kusumi called her a failure and she wants to beat Kusumi up so she'll feel better. She says that Kusumi is on the moon after Aeka warns her that she had better not be planning something again, and Mihoshi recalls Yukinojou sensing something strange from the moon recently. Tenchi chooses to believe Mizuki and to follow Kusumi to the moon. In the area outside of the shuttle, Washu turns Ryo-Ohki into a spaceship and the party flies to the moon. B. Persuit of Kusumi -------------------- Battle 17: Ryo-Oh-Ki -------------------- Enemies: Shinasasori, Benisasori x3 Party: Tenchi, Aeka, Mihoshi, Katsuhito, Yukinojou, Azaka, Kamidake, Washu, Sasami, Mizuki Recommended Party Members: Tenchi, Katsuhito, Sasami, Mihoshi Recommended Level: 6 The enemies will be on the other side of the screen, giving you a chance to build up Kiai for the first round. After they approach you, use your strongest attacks and try to take out whichever enemies you can at first (probably the Benisasoris). Then, concentrate all of your power on the Shinasasori and heal all of your party members who were injured with Sasami's healing abilities. After the battle, you will control the remaining party members who were not put into one group. -------------------- Battle 18: Ryo-Oh-Ki -------------------- Enemies: Houdain x3, Hougan Party: Tenchi, Aeka, Mihoshi, Katsuhito, Yukinojou, Azaka, Kamidake, Washu, Sasami, Mizuki Recommended Party Members: Aeka, Washu, Yukinojou, Mizuki Recommended Level: 6 Move your first character back next to the rest of your characters and wait for the enemies to approach. Hougan will usually be the first to arrive at your party and to attack. Concentrate all of your attacks on this enemy to take him down that round. Then, work on the other Houdains and take them out as well, healing those who suffered injury. This should win you the battle easily. -------------------- Battle 19: Ryo-Oh-Ki -------------------- Enemies: Kotetsujin, Tatsujin x3 Party: Tenchi, Aeka, Mihoshi, Katsuhito, Yukinojou, Azaka, Kamidake, Washu, Sasami, Mizuki Recommended Party Members: Tenchi, Katsuhito, Sasami, Mihoshi Recommended Level: 6 Take out the three Tatsujins as they approach your party and heal anyone who was injured during the process. Then, as the slow Kotetsujin approaches take him out with long range attacks and any other Tatsujins that appear. This should be an easy battle since these enemies have very low Strength. -------------------- Battle 20: Ryo-Oh-Ki -------------------- Enemies: Burai, Shiden x3 Party: Tenchi, Aeka, Mihoshi, Katsuhito, Yukinojou, Azaka, Kamidake, Washu, Sasami, Mizuki Recommended Party Members: Aeka, Washu, Yukinojou, Mizuki Recommended Level: 6 The strongest attacks for your party members should be enough at this point to take out the Burais. Use this to your advantage and have Mizuki score a couple of kills to get her up to the same level as the rest of your party members. Shiden is not too much of a threat and can be defeated in one round with a few attacks from all of your party members. -------------------- Battle 21: Ryo-Oh-Ki -------------------- Enemies: Maimu x3, Marin Party: Tenchi, Aeka, Mihoshi, Katsuhito, Yukinojou, Azaka, Kamidake, Washu, Sasami, Mizuki Recommended Party Members: Tenchi, Katsuhito, Sasami, Mihoshi Recommended Level: 6 The strongest attacks for your party members should be enough at this point to take out the Burais. Use this to your advantage and have Mizuki score a couple of kills to get her up to the same level as the rest of your party members. Shiden is not too much of a threat and can be defeated in one round with a few attacks from all of your party members. -------------------- Battle 22: Ryo-Oh-Ki -------------------- Enemies: Kisaragi x3, Tagami Party: Tenchi, Aeka, Mihoshi, Katsuhito, Yukinojou, Azaka, Kamidake, Washu, Sasami, Mizuki Recommended Party Members: Aeka, Washu, Yukinojou, Mizuki Recommended Level: 6 This will be a fun battle. The Kisaragis will not be much of a threat anymore so you can kill them in the first two rounds once they approach your party, and then once Tagami approaches you can take him out with your strongest attacks at once. Again, try to get Mizuki to kill more enemies so she will advance in levels, but don't go out of your way to do it. After the battle, the party will have finally arrived at the moon. Ryo-Ohki will be turning into a crystal and Mihoshi tells everyone that she is tired. Mizuki will lead Tenchi outside, and she will remind him that the area on the moon is protected so that you won't die from being in space. Then, more monsters will appear and you will have to fight them. --------------- Battle 23: Moon --------------- Enemies: Maimu x2, Marin x2 Party: Tenchi, Aeka, Mihoshi, Katsuhito, Yukinojou, Azaka, Kamidake, Washu, Sasami, Mizuki Recommended Party Members: Sasami, Washu, Mizuki, Katsuhito Recommended Level: 6 - 7 If you have been selecting the recommended enemies, then choose them in that order for this battle. The last two chosen characters will start right next to the two Marins who are more difficult than the two Maimus. Mizuki and Katsuhito are capable ot taking out the two Marins in two rounds, so have them do so by pairing each one of the two up with an enemy. Sasami and Washu should team up against one Maimu and take it down in each round. Then, after two rounds, the battle should be over. --- MAP --- Places to go: Private Room, Dining Room, Laboratory Now that you have control of the Map, gain levels until every party members you have is at Level 8. You don't have to do this with Kamidake and Azaka because I recommend either never getting them to begin with or just never using them if you have to get them. First, go to the Private Room where some monsters will appear. ----------------------- Battle 24: Private Room ----------------------- Enemies: Genbu x2, Gansekiou x2 Party: Tenchi, Aeka, Mihoshi, Katsuhito, Yukinojou, Ryo-Ohki Azaka, Kamidake, Washu, Sasami, Mizuki Recommended Party Members: Anyone Recommended Level: 6 - 7 First, take out the two Gensekious that appear. Make sure not to move in front of the Genbus because they cannot move and will not be able to attack you if you avoid them. Use your strongest attacks against them and they should fall in one or two rounds. Use one of your healing techniques to heal anyone who is hurt. Then, save up Kiai and morph anyone who can morph and have everyone attack the first Genbu closest to your party. By this time, more Gansekious will have emerged and you should take them out while they are behind the wall of rocks and cannot attack your party. Once they are defeated, concentrate on defeating the second Genbu. ---------------------- Battle 25: Dining Room ---------------------- Enemies: Genbu x4 Party: Tenchi, Aeka, Mihoshi, Katsuhito, Yukinojou, Ryo-Ohki Azaka, Kamidake, Washu, Sasami, Mizuki Recommended Party Members: Tenchi, Mizuki, Mihoshi, Sasami Recommended Level: 6 - 7 The greatest part about this battle is that the Genbus can't even attack you if you aren't in their way. All of the recommended party members have good range in their attacks and can take out all of the Genbus without being touched. Have Tenchi stand diagonally adjacent next to one of them and use Kaiten Giri, have Mizuki use Kenmaikyaku, have Mihoshi use B Blaster, and have Sasami heal the later injured members. This will take out the first two in no time at all. Unfortunately, the story is not the same for the second pair of Genbus, so you will have to attack them quickly and with strong attacks. Morph everyone except for Mizuki and have everyone bombard the two Genbus with attacks. Once they are dead, retreat to your starting place and wait for the Gansekious to surface and approach the bricks between you and them. Once they do, use Tenchi to lure on of them towards you and kill it with your party members once it gets close enough. Heal if anyone is hurt and then repeat this process until every enemy is dead. If they don't take the bait then run down in a line with Sasami in the back healing people and Tench in the front taking most of the hits and dealing most of the damage. In the end, you should win the battle without losing any party members. Upon arrival to the laboratory, Kusumi will be surprised that you have arrived so quickly. Tenchi demands the return of Ryoko, but Kusumi agrees, but only if they defeat her first. Therefore, it is time yet again to fight Kusumi. C. Final Battle --------------------- Battle 26: Laboratory --------------------- Enemies: Amashiro, Hidarite, Migite Party: Tenchi, Aeka, Mihoshi, Katsuhito, Yukinojou, Ryo-Ohki Azaka, Kamidake, Washu, Sasami, Mizuki Recommended Party Members: Katsuhito, Mizuki, Washu, Sasami Recommended Level: 8 This battle is surprisingly simple. For the first few rounds, form your party into a line. Put Katsuhito in front, followed by Mizuki, then Washu, and finally, Sasami. Morph the three of your characters that can morph. Have Sasami use Sammy Blast which does something (I haven't the slightest clue what but it really helped in this battle) and have Washu use Super Prayer on everyone. Then, form yourselves back in a line (you will have to move next to Mizuki to use Sammy Blast on everyone) and revert Washu and Sasami. Then, approach Amashiro in a straight line (to avoid Hidarite and Migite) two steps at a time. Once Katsuhito is close enough, you can use Tengekikenkyaku and have Mizuki use Kenenmaikyaku. This should be enough to defeat Amashiro again and if it isn't, use Medicine or Blessing with Washu and Sasami to heal those who have been injured. During the next round, use the same attacks again and Kusumi will defintely be defeated. Before flying away, Kusumi promises to return Ryoko, but says that this battle has just begun. Tenchi runs up the stairs to Ryoko who is lying on the ground. Ryoko gets up and challenges Tenchi. Washu is sure that this Ryoko is a fake, a clone made by Kusumi. Mihoshi doesn't understand even when Washu specifically says a FAKE Ryoko, so they just tell her nevermind. Kusumi reveals that the real Ryoko is one of the ones that they are going to have to fight and she is being manipulated by Kusumi. --------------------- Battle 27: Laboratory --------------------- Enemies: Ryoko, Ryoko x3 Party: Tenchi, Aeka, Mihoshi, Katsuhito, Yukinojou, Ryo-Ohki Azaka, Kamidake, Washu, Sasami, Mizuki Recommended Party Members: Katsuhito, Mizuki, Washu, Sasami Recommended Level: 8 Be sure not to attack the real Ryoko. It's simple to tell which one is the real one. The real Ryoko is wearing pink clothing as opposed to the other three clones who are wearing orange clothing. Second of all, the real Ryoko only has 20 HP and low Strength and Defense ratings. For the first round, do nothing and wait for the Ryokos to attack. Usually they gang up on the first member of the party, so heal that person with Sasami's Blessing technique and attack all of the fake Ryoko clones. After the three clones have been defeated by using the strongest attacks to defeat them, the real Ryoko will be lying on the ground. Washu will kick her after earlier attempts to wake her up don't work, and then Ryoko will get up. Kusumi appears and says Washu ruined her plans to analyze Ryoko and to reclone Mizuki. Kusumi and Washu then argue about who got into eachother's way, and then it is time to fight some more monsters created by Kusumi. --------------------- Battle 28: Laboratory --------------------- Enemies: GinRyu x2, Tagami x2 Party: Tenchi, Aeka, Mihoshi, Katsuhito, Yukinojou, Ryo-Ohki Azaka, Kamidake, Washu, Sasami, Mizuki, Ryoko Recommended Party Members: Katsuhito, Mizuki, Washu, Sasami Recommended Level: 8 Try not to attack for the first round. Instead, move every character back about two spaces to gain some Kiai for the enemies that are coming. Once the enemies approach, try concentrating all of your attacks on just one of them to defeat them one at a time until they are all defeated, healing those who need it. The enemies will all fall. After the battle, the floor will change colors and Orange Ryo-Ohkis will fall from the ceiling. Washu notices that all of them are clones because the real one is with Sasami. Tenchi and Sasami feel bad about fighting Ryo-Ohkis, and Ryoko wonders why Tenchi had no problem fighting clones of Ryoko. Tenchi compares Ryoko to Ryo-Ohki and Ryoko gets angry at him. --------------------- Battle 29: Laboratory --------------------- Enemies: Ryo-Ohki x4 Party: Tenchi, Aeka, Mihoshi, Katsuhito, Yukinojou, Ryo-Ohki Azaka, Kamidake, Washu, Sasami, Mizuki, Ryoko Recommended Party Members: Katsuhito, Mizuki, Washu, Sasami Recommended Level: 8 For the first two rounds, have Sasami and Washu use Cheer and Sasami Shield on both Katsuhito and Mizuki. Have Katsuhito attack on the second round with his most powerful attack and have Mizuki do the same. This usually instantly defeats two of the Ryo-Ohki clones. Have Sasami heal whoever is injured in the first two rounds of the clones' attacks and have Washu cheer whoever she didn't get to in the first round. Make Mizuki and Katsuhito attack the other two remaining clones and have Sasami continue to heal until all of the clones are defeated. If Washu has used Cheer on all Mizuki and Katsuhito and the effects have not worn off, have her attack with Mecha Punch to help Mizuki or Katsuhito. Otherwise, have her heal as well. More enemies will surface after this battle immediately after Tenchi complains about there being too many of them. He pleads with them to leave him alone but it is to no avail and the enemies attack again. --------------------- Battle 30: Laboratory --------------------- Enemies: GinRyu x2, KinRyu x2 Party: Tenchi, Aeka, Mihoshi, Katsuhito, Yukinojou, Ryo-Ohki Azaka, Kamidake, Washu, Sasami, Mizuki, Ryoko Recommended Party Members: Katsuhito, Mizuki, Washu, Sasami Recommended Level: 8 The enemy starts right next to you in this fight so you will have to act quickly. Have Sasami use Sasami Shield on herself so she doesn't die quickly. Then, have Washu use Cheer on Mizuki. Have Mizuki do nothing, and make Katsuhito use Kaijin. On the second round, have Sasami bless whoever took the majority of the damage, have Washu cheer Katsuhito, have Mizuki use her strongest attack and have Katsuhito do the same. This should eliminate two of the enemies. After this round, have Sasami heal again and have Washu and Katsuhito attack one enemy and have Mizuki attack the other. If this doesn't kill the enemies, they will die the next round with the same strategy. If any extra enemies appear, wait for them to approach you, building up Kiai and healing injured members, and then attack them when they get close. If too many of them approach, have Sasami use Tsunami Bless on everyone and have Washu Cheer herself so she can use Mecha Punch in battle against any enemies. This should win the battle. It is quiet after this battle. Washu wants to end it now and Mihoshi wants to eat some food. Then, Mizuki appears in a huge machine to fight. --------------------- Battle 31: Laboratory --------------------- Enemies: Amashiro x2, Houdon Party: Tenchi, Aeka, Mihoshi, Katsuhito, Yukinojou, Ryo-Ohki Azaka, Kamidake, Washu, Sasami, Mizuki, Ryoko Recommended Party Members: Katsuhito, Mizuki, Washu, Sasami Recommended Level: 8 Amashiro can attack anything five spaces in front of it and the two Houdons on the sides can attack things only directly in front of them in a line. Therefore, approach the Amashiros with plenty of Kiai and have Washu Cheer everybody and have Sasami use Sasami Shield on everybody. Then, have everyone approach the Amashiro. Amashiro will attack EVERYONE in the radius of a 5x5 Square right in front of it so be prepared to heal if it gets out of hand. Usually the most damage done to any person is about 40 HP per turn. If you would like to conserve Kiai, you could use a different strategy. Have Mizuki go in by herself, use up all of her kiai fighting after being cheered and given a shield, and when her HPs get low, have her retreat to be healed, given a shield, and cheered again. Then, have her move back in quickly and attack to defeat Amashiro. This is a better method since it assures a quick defeat without endangering your other characters, but it is a slower defeat since three of your characters do nothing while Mizuki does all of the fighting. After the battle, Kusumi will be very angry at Washu for defeating her Amashiro. Then, Kusumi transforms and releases the Golden Mizukis on Tenchi's party. Time to battle them. --------------------- Battle 32: Laboratory --------------------- Enemies: Golden Mizuki x3, Kusumi Party: Tenchi, Aeka, Mihoshi, Katsuhito, Yukinojou, Ryo-Ohki Azaka, Kamidake, Washu, Sasami, Mizuki, Ryoko Recommended Party Members: Katsuhito, Mizuki, Washu, Sasami Recommended Level: 8 Have everyone do absolutely nothing until they can morph in this battle. If someone is hurt too much, heal them with Washu's medicine attack, but normally on Level 8 that won't happen. Then, once everyone is morphed, knock out each of the Golden Mizukis one at a time with strong attacks using Mizuki and Katsuhito. Have Sasami and Washu use Sammy Blast and Super Prayer and the Golden Mizukis won't stand a chance. Once the three of them are defeated, revert everyone and stay until they are all healed and have full Kiai. Then, use Super Prayer and Sammy Blast on everyone and move as quickly to Kusumi as possible. Revert Sasami so she can heal those who need to be healed as she follows Mizuki, Katsuhito, and Washu towards Mizuki. Attack at full power which will take her down in about two rounds. If any party members are injured, use healing techniques on them from either Washu or Sasami and after a couple rounds Kusumi will be defeated! Congratulations, you've beaten the game! ------------------------------------------------------- **CAUTION** Spoiler Ahead! Game Ending Ahead! **CAUTION ------------------------------------------------------- After Mizuki has been defeated yet again, she is finally done terrorizing Tenchi and his party. Washu makes sure of it and threatens to seal her up if she doesn't. Mizuki steps in then, however, and punches her a couple of times for calling her a failure before. Mizuki begs for forgiveness, but it no use. Then, everyone goes home leaving Mizuki and Kusumi to fight eachother. Then, you will see the credits rolling and everyone flying home on Ryo-Ohki. After the credits are done rolling, Tenchi will tell Katsuhito that Kusumi and Mizuki returned to their home planet. Then Katsuhito will beat up Tenchi because his training has been going poorly and Katsuhito tells him that he had better be prepared to train that night regardless of any work that he has to do. That's the end! Congratulations! ------------------------------------------------------- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ VI.
