Even though I don't generally like Star Wars, those two people who reviewed it said it was pretty decent. Along with the fact I'm always trying new games, they both combined together into this FAQ. Everyone always grafts off the 'Luke I am your father', it gets annoying at times but still pretty livable. Get ready for some challenges; this isn't easy as lots of enemies often crowd the screen, in an effort to destroy you. Change the difficulty in the options if you want, then hit start. 2. A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away... Episode IV A New Hope It is a period of civil wars. Rebel spaceships, striking from a hidden base, have won their first victory against the evil Galactic Empire. During the battle, Rebel spies managed to steal secret plans to the Empire's ultimate weapon, the DEATH STAR, an armored space station with enough power to destroy an entire planet. Pursued by the Empire's sinister agents, Princess Leia races home aboard her starship, custodian of the stolen plans that can save her people and restore freedom to the entire galaxy... Then you see a fighter craft firing shots at a space station. 3. Dune Sea Luke Ready! Blast your first critter, a red scorpion for a heart. Run past and shoot at the flying harpies for hearts if you need them, as well as some points. When you come to the 1st sand pit, stand in front of the scorpion then when it comes blast it away. Go up the dune and blast the giant scorpion for 100 points then shoot the little scorpions that come out of it. Double flip at the top for a big heart. Grab the gun upgrade and test it on the hopping dragonflies. Move cautiously and draw your gun quickly when the hopping dragonflies come out. Don't stand on the top or the sand worm will throw you. Next there are about three giant scorpions and flying harpies. There are about two giant scorpions coming up then a sand worm followed by another two more giant scorpions. Deal with these menaces hastily. Past another sand pit are two giant scorpions then two more and the boss. SARLACC PIT MONSTER This is probably the parent of the sand worms, but about 10 times larger. The best strategy is to keep blasting. Dodge the sand balls he coughs out and watch for the sand tentacles he uses to feel around. When the tentacles come out double jump across the screen then shoot shots away. Another good way is if he emerges on top of you, jump away then launch some more energy at him from behind while he's busy hitting the air. After he destructs, watch the little intro. 4. Head Towards Sandcrawler This is probably the best level in the game for me anyways. Press the turbo button and hold it down. Those little canisters you see are jet fuel containers. Jawas is pretty much well off, with his 12 lives and all. Don't hit the rocks, as they take off health. To top it off, other guys on jet craft are trying to blast you, along with the green monsters. Every time you blast the guys you get a big heart. The guys drop mines into your path. Shoot the towers for fuel. Hold down and turbo for a safe ride at the top but be sure to pick up fuel. After 12 long fuel tanks run out, especially with the long lasting last two tanks. 5. Outside Sandcrawler Luke Ready! Blasting the two first monks you can get various items, mainly a health sword or a time bonus or a detonator. The tank has two sets of hatches, left and right. Take out the left ones then ignore the up symbol and take out the right. Now jump up then right and take out the next circle guns. Then bound over left and blast the circles. Your gun is upgraded to seeker, instead of flame. Use it on the hood guy then leap from steel platform and shoot the two circles. When you reach the top blast the hood guy. Shoot and jump left on the gears, you have to take out each of the small boxes to get the machine operating. When you reach the very top, take the big heart then shoot all of the four ground turrets before they have a chance to fire. With your guns blazing, after seven more turrets jump down into the end of this stage. 6. Inside Sandcrawler Luke Ready! After the long fall, welcome some hooded guys the only way you know how. Decimate their population and take their items such as, 2x bonus, time bonus, shields and thermal detonator, health swords + hearts. After awhile, you'll see an upgrade, which is the rapid ion. It shoots very fast. Simply fire at the steel doors to open them; this next part is really difficult. Jump from platform to platform, while dodging fire bursts and destructing the little turrets and hooded figures. If you're good, at the top make the regular jump for a big heart. Shoot open the door and blast two up and down machines. Use them to get across the spikes. Destroy four more while dodging proton beams and fire bursts. At the bottom do away with the robots and to get past the force field press down and after then the B button. Do away with more robots then use the slide method mentioned. Try to do it without taking any damage. Slide under another green field then stand on the escalator and leap before you hit the spikes. Jump over the proton beams and fire at the top holding, not the machine itself. It will destruct and leave you a big heart. Get ready because there is another one. Remember, fire at the part that holds it in mid-air. Then prepare to dispatch another one. Slide under the giant presses carefully. After that's done time the fire bursts and move down for another proton gun. When he is gun stand on the platform above the green miscreation and discharge ions. He forks over an upgrade to a plasma gun and a big heart. Leap across the falling platforms and take the health swords and big hearts. When going down the escalator, hold the control pad to the right. Make regular jumps, not flips. Pick off all of the laser turrets and fare right to find this bum. LAVA BEAST JAWENKO What a wonderful product of graphics. Seriously though, here's the best way to beat him. Watch out for his lava beams, jump over some and fire. Stand on the right edge of whatever platform your on. Trigger plasma bursts at him but be careful to not fall into the lava, as soon as you do you die. If you do this, he'll descend back into the magma in no time. Also watch out on the edge, since the lava can come from anywhere. After he's gone, hop over to meet a certain robot. 7. Land of the Sandpeople Luke Ready! Shoot the unfriendly hopper and be careful not to step in his remains, they're quite sticky. Rapidly move on the corroding bridge to avoid being dashed on the stalagmites below. Slay two hooded figures and blast the oncoming boulders and hopper. Move down the ramp and blast the boulder into fragments if it comes too close. Take out more hooded guys and get a big heart. The lots of hood men help to boost your health and if you need them jump for three big hearts. Remember these dragonflies? Bash them and a sand worm and some armored men. Shoot the stalactites or just run under. Stifle another sand worm then head up the moving rock pieces. Take out the two hooded guys for a big heart. Slide under the shifting rock and leap across the decaying platforms. Brush off the tall guy and run under some more stalagmites. Blast a sand worm, hooded figure, another sand worm, hopping dragonflies and riflemen + more hooded figures. At the edge of the cliff, if you stop for the riflemen they will never stop coming. It's the same thing as before, except with flying harpies. When you don't see any more rocks, step right and land on more. Continue this to find Ben Kinobi, whoever he is. Cool, now you finally receive your Light Saber. 8. Land of the Banthas Luke Ready! You continue where Ben once was, advance on and swing your saber at the dearth of riflemen. Pretty soon you find a Bantha, which is basically a giant mammoth that can ram you. Just keep pressing A and they will disappear. They in this case mean about four, then corroding bridges with lots of riflemen to boot. At the end drop down then scurry left. Snatch the heart and annihilate more riflemen. Drop down then left and hit the wall for some health, you'll need it. Now push on right to find the big guy, the big cheese, the head honcho. MUTANT WOMPRAT This thing resembles a giant rat in visage and countenance. His stretching arms, prehensile tail and all around ugliness makes him deadly. Dodge all these factors as best as you can, especially the ugly part. To help you out, the small Womprats supply hearts for you. The way to defeat him is to jump and swing your saber at him then retreat. If a small Womprat comes toward you take it then quickly hit the big one. After you hit it, it retreats then comes back for more. If your reflexes are good you can trap it in a corner and swing away. Be warned, your health will drop faster than a stock percentage. 9. Head Towards Mos Eisley The ride last longer this time, but still good clean fun nonetheless. Instead of 12 fuel cans, it's 20. If you need help, consult #4, if you don't use the turbo at the small numbers, you'll get there quickly. It's the same as before just more rocks, Womprats and jet craft. 10. Mos Eisley Luke Ready! If you didn't die yet, now you have four lives. Deprive the lots of space warriors of life then pick up the things they drop. If you stand on the spiked plants too long, you'll perish. Now there are space warriors operating homing missiles, firearms and hooded figures. Jump over both dead dinosaurs. After scores of more warriors you'll leap over another dinosaur. A long distance away and you'll find another hooded guy. Further on hop over another dead dinosaur and unleash your fury on all the space warriors. Meet a shaggy looking guy at the end. At the select screen, stick with either Luke Skywalker or choose Chewbacca. You will go to the same place anyways. I recommend Luke. 11. Cantina Fight I take it back this is my favorite level. Whether you are Chewbacca or Luke, you'll have a blasting good time. The music here really highlights the saloon style fight. KALHAR BOSS MONSTER This is a mammoth of a boss, hulking muscles and a snakelike head. What can I say, just blast him back and back until he is gone. Your plasma blaster is more suitable than the saber if you are Luke. Jump over his hands and neck when he lunges them out. Chewbacca really is sorry here, with his weak crossbow. The absolutely best way is to jump while firing shots and occasionally pushing him back so he doesn't sprint back up to you. After this behemoth falls, Han Solo is added to the roster. 12. Escape from Mos Eisley Han Ready! For real, this guy is all that and a bag of, popcorn. He starts off with a plasma gun and he is just slamming. When you are on the top windowsills, stay there since it is an easier route than the bottom. Dispatch the armored warriors efficiently then fight a maintenance droid. Every time you blast something off of it, its health comes back. It does this three times then after push on. This place should read 'hazardous for your health'. The metal claws that grab you, ion beams and lots of warriors aren't exactly easy. The claws can be taken out, oh yeah the bombs that detonate too. If you look you can find health swords. The bottom yields more beams and fare right. You can take out the bombs before they explode on you though. Pretty soon you'll encounter three ion lasers, a diamond laser and a metal grabber. Shoot the barrels and maybe you'll get a big heart. Run on past the bombs to discover a large piece of machinery. HOVER COMBAT CARRIER You have to blast each of the pieces off. There's a certain place you can stand and no beams will touch you. So start with the first fuel exhaust and once it's gone work on the top part. Once those two are gone, expel plasma at the middle turret. Finish that then get the right fuel exhaust. Get the right top, and laugh as it has nothing to shoot at you with and careens over the entire screen. Put the guys who are flying it out of their misery and wipe the sweat off your hands. 13. Death Star Hangar Bay Han Ready! You are now in the Death Star and a little dish comes up. Grab the heart and blaster power-up + thermal detonator. Jump over the square hole you see and grab the rapid-ion gun. Every time that big thing whizzes by you lose health. Remember, if you are moving it won't affect you. Spring from platform to platform and see a spider-like robot. Immediately destroy it and the flying radars. Move much faster now, since the big thing is whizzing faster. Grab the plasma gun finally, and then reunite with the space warriors. Some of them want to hurt you so bad they drop into the holes! The big dish returns, and you'll find an extra life on a platform. A turret will rise out of a hole, along with some space warriors and spider-robots. Push on and you'll approach some more advanced machinery, make sure you have a full health bar for this one. IMPERIAL DEFENSE DROID Basically, when the top isn't open, it is pretty much invincible. When the top does open, a homing missile pops out. Besides that, it has a stretch claw, leaping stomp and that's about it. Sometimes it'll just jump bound back and forth attempting to hit you. Should be a slice of pie. 14. Rescue of the Princess Luke Ready! Break out the saber or plasma gun and use it on the laser turrets. Jog past the various machines and move expeditiously under the giant press machine. Maneuver under another one then zip up all the elevators. At the top you'll find an arachnid robot and more giant presses. Up more elevators there a robot is waiting for you. More robots supply hearts with tons of lasers bouncing around. Up some elevators the alien-robots give big hearts with space warriors. Four more giant presses and past them is a large round machine. DETENTION GUARD BOSS Detention? Err. It just flies around, making large space beams at you and two homing missiles. Also it throws down firebombs so dodge them. When it opens project plasma to your full extent. Sometimes space warriors will drop in and supply some hearts. All the energy is gone down, so it compacts into a smaller machine. Take that out too and move on to the end. 15. Tractor Beam Core Take care, to take out the spider-robot. Then demolish the space warrior, and go from platform. Shoot the rocket man off his perch and jump from there to another escalator. There are literally hundreds of lasers, firing left and right. Pretty soon after you dust a rocket man you'll obtain a thermal detonator. On the big elevator an indicator will indicate the tractor beam power level. Use the alien robots to power yourself up. Fire at it then after a little health is gone you get fired at. This thing has a life of it's own! It uses fission, which means it splits the atoms in the center and in turn they split, harming you. If you want it done hastily stand at the top and just let loose. Don't get too trigger happy, or you'll be done quickly. The easiest way without being harmed is stand directly under it and fire upwards. It's not that hard. The FMV spouts a catch phrase that I'm sure you've heard before. 16. Space Mission The death star is huge! The object here is to lower the towers and ties down to 00. This is one of the only easy things here, so it shouldn't be bad at all. After that's done you have to blast more ties out of the air in a simulator type thing. Now it gets difficult, since you have to blast the enemy aircraft and the bombs they shoot at you. You have to last until it hits the zero so good luck. The green rectangles in the middle indicate how many times until your ship blows up. You should only take about 1 hit for every 1000. When you hit about 2000 you'll see the ship that is shooting the balls at you. Hit the ship in the middle so it can't shoot that many balls at you. After the big fighter craft is gone press right (the button, not the control pad) and two purple lasers will go inside the fuel pipes. If you messed up you'll have to ruin the towers and then dodge more blasts. YAY! The DEATH STAR is destroyed! Well that's it folks, the game is finished. Hope you have had a good time, I know I did.
