Do not e-mail me or bother me about them in any way. Frankly, I'm tired of hearing stuff about them: good, bad or otherwise. You can blame punks like gotodaplace@hotmail.com for this. Jackasses like him are why I am no longer updating and no longer assisting those that have legitimate questions with the games I wrote strategy guides for. 2) Characters *Booster- A boss of Super Mario RPG. You first meet him in his Tower. When you meet him he says that he would love to take the time to play with you, but he needs to entertain the Princess that fell from the sky. *Boshi- A creature much like Yoshi but he's pink. He won't let all of the Yoshi's race together- he likes to race one on one. But if you are able to beat him riding Yoshi you make it so that all Yoshi's can race together! *Bowser- We all know who this (I don't think there is anybody out ther that hasn't played any of the 8 bit Mario games- and the introduction of the SNES and now the N64 has made Mario games even more popular)- Bowser is the King of the Koopas. His favorite hobby.....kidnapping Princess Toadstool! He is always kidnapping her! Well he does kidnap her in this one too- but he looses her to Mario again (well, sorta, a Sword crashes into Bowser's Keep before Mario can rescue her). When you meet up with Bowser at Booster's Tower he "lets" you join the Koopa Troop. *Chancellor- This is the ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom and the Guardian of Princess Toadstool. He is just happy you return her later on in the game (after Marrymore). But little does he know that she ends up coming with you! *Cultex- This is a hidden boss (Found in Monstro Town) from the Final Fantasy series. He can be tough- even nearly impossible at low levels (below Level 25). He wants to challenge a great knight before returning to his own world. *Elder- This is the ruler (well for lack of a better term) of Seaside Town. Yardiovich, a boss in the game, is pretending to be the Elder when you first reach Seaside Town. After you come back with the Star from the Sunken Ship he makes you turn it over to him. Everytime you refuse to give him the star, he has his minions go and tickle the real Elder. After you defeat Yardiovich, you get the Shed Key to release the real Elder. *Frogfucious- He is the wise guru that gives you aid through the game. He can be found at Tadpole Pond. Mallow thought that he and Frogfucious were family- but he finds out that Frogfucious just found him one day. *Gaz- The boy playing with the dolls in the Inn of Rose Town. One of his dolls get up in the middle of the night and walks away- turning into one of your characters, Geno! *Garro- The statue maker of Nimbus Land. He disguises you as a staute so that you can sneak into the Castle. *Geno- This character is created from a doll. He really is an entity from the heavens that is here in Mario's world to repair Star Road. Star Road is where whishes are granted. *Goomba- This used to be a member of Bowser's Koopa Troop, but after the sword crashed into Bowser's Keep- Goomba ended up in Monstro Town. He runs a shop and has a family! *Grandmother- This is the Princess' Grandmother. She disguises herself as the Princess so that the Princess can come and aid you in your quest. *Grate Guy- He is a boss (at the top of Booster's Tower). After you beat him, he creates a Casino where you can play games- if you get the pass from his brother Knife Guy. *Johnathan "Johnny" Jones- The Boss of the Sunken Ship. After you beat him, he gives you one of the Star Pieces that are needed to reapir Star Road. *King Nimbus- Mallow's father and the ruler of Nimbus Land. *Mallow- The first new member of your party. He cries a lot and when he does, it rains! Mallow thinks he is a tadpole when you first meet him. But after talking to Frogfucious, he realizes he isn't. He goes with you in search of his parents. He is really the Prince of Nimbus Land! *Mario- The hero (as always!) of this game. He is trying to save the Princess from Bowser in the opening scenes of the game, but a Sword crashes into Bowser's Keep, sending him on a mission to save Star Road! *Monstermama- She can be found in Monstro Town. She calls the Sky Troopas to help you scale the wall at Land's End so you can get to Nimbus Land. *Princess Toadstool- The helpless victim of Bowser (as always). In the opening scenes of the game, Bowser kidnapps her AGAIN! And Mario comes to her rescue AGAIN! She is just about to be rescued by Mario when a Sword crashes into Bowser's Keep. Later in the game, she sneaks out of the Castle in the Mushroom Kingdom to join your party! *Queen Nimbus- Mallow's mother and the Queen of Nimbus Land. *Raini- The spouse of Raz- they were about to get married when Booster crashes Marrymore. *Raz- The spouse of Raz- they were about to get married when Booster crashes Marrymore. *Sergent Flutter- The leader of the Sky Troopas Monstermama calls to help you scale the wall of Land's End. *Smithy- The ultimate enemy of Super Mario RPG. You have to fight him in two stages to win the game, recover the last star, and repair Star Road. He caused the Sword to crash into Bowser's Keep. *Toadofsky- The composer you meet in Melody Bay. You help him a few times in the course of the game compose his music. *Valentina- The boss of Nimbus Land. She wants to become Queen on Nimbus Land. She tries to convince the residents of Nimbus Land that Dodo (her partner- a bird) is the lost Prince of Nimbus Land. *Yoshi- We all know who this is too. He is that Green dino with the big appetite! He'll eat anything! You can race him on Yoster's Isle. 3) Walkthrough List 1. Opening Scenes- Bowser kidnaps Toadstool etc... 2. Bowser's Keep 3. Chandelier Battle With Bowser 4. Go through the next few rooms, still in the water, until you come to an area that looks like it has stairs to the left- this is shallow water. Hop out here 5. Down the next pipe you see 6. When you come up the pipe in the next room, hop down to the lower ledge and go to the right and down that pipe 7. When you come up in the next room drop down to the floor to the right 8. Up the steps 9. Jump and hit the chest- it contains Pandorite, a monster 10. Go up to the top step and jump up onto the higher ledge 11. Go left as far as you can and collect the chest with the flower in it 12. Up the steps all the way and down the pipe at the top to the right 13. When you come up in the next room jump up and hit the chest next to the pipe- it contains a Super Star. Jump down on to the floor below (there are Rat Funks there) and take put the monsters 14. Up the steps- The Big Boo is there 15. Go left at the corner (you'll see it when you get there) and down the pipe you come to 16. In the next room where you come up the pipe- go up/left (you'll see it when you get there) along the path that the Rat Funks are walking on- Fight then if you wish, experience is always a good thing 17. Go down the next pipe you come to 18. When you come up into the next room- jump up on to the ledge above you to your left 19. Fight the Rat Funk that is blocking your path 20. Jump over to the ledge (the lone square platform that you couldn't reach before) where the Rat Funk is standing next to a pipe 21. Defeat it and go down the pipe 22. In the next room go up the steps and step on the Green ! Switch 23. This will drain all of the water in the rest of the rooms 24. Go back to the pipe that brought you into this room and go back through it 25. Jump down off the platform to the floor 25. Keep walking back through the rooms until you reach the pipe in the floor you couldn't get to with all of the water 26. Go down that pipe 27. SAVE THE GAME! You won't want to do that all over again if Belome kicks your butt 28. Go down the pipe to the right 29. Fight Belome! *Forest Maze- 1. Go through the first room to the room where there is a lone Wiggler wandering around a tree stump 2. Fight the Wiggler if you want and then go down the tree stump (they work the same way pipes do--- FYI) 3. This will bring you underground- fight the enemies if you wish and then make your way to the trampoline to get back topside 4. Now, go up and to the right to the path that takes you into the next area 5. This area has seven tree stumps---yikes! Go down the very back one 6. Now, there is no trampoline here to get you back up top- but there is however a sleeping Wiggler to the left of the cave (He's making snoring bubbles- icky!) Hop on it and he'll wake up and throw you back up to the surface 7. Go to the path behind the stump 8. In this area go down the tree stump the Wiggler is coming and going in and out of 9. Don't touch the Wiggler this time! Go to the trampoline instead 10. Once outside go up/right 11. Save your game at the Save Block 12. Go up into the next area 13. This is where it gets annoying- the four paths that all look alike! 14. Remember to ALWAYS FOLLOW GENO! If he disappears from your sight when you get into the next area- go right and then up and you should catch up with him again. 15. Fight Bowyer *Pipe Vault- 1. Go down the first pipe you see 2. Jump across the lava using the small square platforms 3. Once you make it to the next room go up the stairs 4. Jump over the first pipe, the one with the Pirhana Plant 5. Go down the 3rd pipe 6. You will be in an area with 6 pipes with Pirhana Plants in it- go down the last pipe 7. Jump across using the platforms- skip the tan pipe and go down the green pipe 8. Jump over the tan pipes and over the Coin Thiefs and go down the pipe 9. Jump across the platforms and get to the green pipe at the other end of this room 10. This will take you to Yo'sters Island where you can race Yoshi! *Moleville Mines- 1. Talk to the two moles- jump on their heads to enter the mines 2. Jump up on to the ledge above 3. Go right and into the next area 4. Jump on the trampoline- get knocked out 5. Croco and his gang rob you of all of your coins- GET THEM BACK! 6. Go up 7. Go right 8. You will find Croco and his gang at a dead end- Croco takes out a bomb and blows up the wall 9. Follow Croco and do as before in Bandit's Way- catch up to him and press A to enter battle with him- I would recomend going through the other rooms first and catching his Gang 10. When you beat him you get your Coins back and a bomb! 11. Go back to the trampoline that knocked you out- from this room go left 12. Go through this room and then into the next one 13. From here go up and then left 14. From here just walk through to the next room 15. From here go left into the next room 16. Just walk through into the next room 17. Here you should see Pa Mole 18. Give him the bomb Croco dropped 19. Go through the hole the bomb creates 20. Go to the bottom path and end up still on the bottom path in the next room 21. Continue through on this path- a Shy Guy in a mine cart will stop your progress on this path 22. Climb the crates to the upper path 23. In the next room there is a Super Star- Hit IT! 24. Keep going on this path right into the next room 25. In this room continue on to the right this time into the next room 26. In this room climb the crates and go into the next room and up the tracks (Hopefully you will have enough time on the Super Star to hit the wall of 4 Bob-ombs blocking your path) 27. Save your game 28. Keep going on this path and jump up on the crates you come to and go into the next room 29. Fight Punchinello *Booster's Tower- 1. Bowser breaks down the door and "lets" you join the Koopa Troop 2. Once you enter the Tower go up the stairs to the left 3. Go to the right into the door to next room 4. Climb the steps 5. Meet Booster on his train 6. Follow the train tracks to the door leading to the next room 7. Climb the stairs 8. If you want the Masher- and yes you DO want the Masher- take the path to the right (the little path that seems to go nowhere) 9. This will take you to a ledge. Drop down and hopefully you should land on the empty side of the teeter totter below (it may take you a few times to get it right). The bomb on the other side will go up in the air a little bit and then come back down agan, causing you to leap up high and hit the treasure chest above, that contains the Masher! 10. Walk all the way back up to the point where you turned off to the right to get the Masher- but don't go that way (to the ledge) instead continue past that straight into the next room. 11. Step on the Green ! Switch- this will make something new appear in Booster Pass 12. Go right and into the next room 13. Go up the steps 14. This is the curtain area in wich you can change into 8 Bit Mario for a moment- go behind the curtain just for kicks. Once you try to exit the room, Mario changes back to normal (and looks a bit confused!) 15. Now really exit the room 16. Keep jumping to the higher ledges (The ones with the Spookums on them and get to the high walkway- try to avoid the Bullets the Sniffit is tossing at you on your way to the door 17. In the next room walk up the stairs and exit the area 18. Save your game 19. Arrange the portraits! This will get you the Elder Key that will open a door to the left of the portraits leading to the Chomp- a weapon for Bowser! 20. The portraits should be numbered (in your mind) 1-6 from left to right. Pressing A to do so, touch each portrait in this order: 4, 5, 3, 6, 1, 2 21. The Elder Key will pop out of one of the portraits and fall on the floor. Take it! 22. Open the door to the left of the portraits and go inside. Jump up onto the Chomp's ledge and wake it up. Bowser will take it as his weapon! 23. Go back out to the portraits and walk all the way right past them. Exit the room. 24. Walk up the stairs 25. Jump on the empty side of the teeter totter (there is a Twomp on the other end) 26. This will jump you up to the next section of Booster's Tower 27. jump to the ledge in the center of the room 28. Fight the Spookum 29. Jump up onto the yellow square block to the right 30. Fight the Spookum 31. Jump up onto the checkerboard platform 32. Jump up onto the left hand ledge 33. Up the stairs and into the next room 34. This is a room full of treasure: Frog Coins. Regular Coins, and a Room Key! 35. The Room Key goes to the door in the back of this room- and inside are Zoom Shoes! 36. Be Warned! In this room there are invisible traps- step onto one and you will have to fight a Fireball or 2. 37. After collecting the treasure, Room Key, and the Zoom Shoes exit the room through the door down to the left side of the room. 38. Go up the stairs and go through the door into the next room 39. You get to see Booster again here- he tosses bombs at you- when he does this go into the next room 40. Go up the steps and go through the door you find at the top 41. Save here 42. Enter the next room 43. Walk to the Locked Door- the Princess will be on the other side 44. Hide behind the curtains when you hear Booster coming 45. Booster comes in and wants to play "Wedding Rehersal" but realizes he can't find his Mario doll! 46. Try to dodge the Snifits as they look behind the curtains for the Mario doll- you can see your feet poking out from the bottom of the curtains. It gets hard to dodge them- especially when all three look behind the curtains- but there is a reward! If you can dodge them sucessfully- and knock the Mario doll from the curtain rod (just jump up and hit it from just below the doll) when Booster starts to cry, Booster will give you the Amulet Accessory! This is the only place in the entire game to get it! 47. If you are not able to sucessfully dodge the Snifits when they look behind the curtains you will have to fight Booster and his Snifits 48. Either way you come to the same outcome- Booster opens the door and takes the Princess 49. Outside on the balcony you will have to do battle with Knife Guy and Grate Guy *Land's End- 1. Save your game 2. Jump into the short cannon looking thing 3. When it is pointing to the up/right jump out onto the ledge above 4. From this ledge go up and right into the next area 5. Walk up to the next cannon you will see- hop in and jump up to the next ledge 6. You will land into a square ditch 7. Three Chows will hop out of the square ditch 8. Hop out of the ditch and fight the Chows- you really could use the Experience Points 9. Walk up and right into the next area 10. Hop from square platform to square platform to the other side 11. Take the upper path (the lower path will eventually lead you back into the Kero Sewers and to the Cricket Jam- see the Odds and Ends Section for more details) 12. On the upper path you will end up in an area with those red flowers that rotate and jump you up to higher terrain. Use them to pass the upper path. 13. In this next area- you will end up on the Sky Bridge (Which is a mini game) this time don't play the game- just get yourself across 14. Once across the bridge, go on to the next area- this will take you to a desert area- the mouse will be here again and will give you a hint: follow the ant in the whirlpools 15. To start- Jump into the left hand whirlpool 16. Now start following the ant- go into the whirlpool you see the ant in 17. Continue to follow the ant until you end up in a cave 18. Save your game 19. Hop down to the lower ledge 20. Get the Super Star in the chest and kill as many enemies as you can before time runs out 21. In the next room- try to make it here and kill what you can with the Super Star before it wears off- go into the next room 22. In this room- hop down into the hole and pay the Shaman there 400 Coins for another Super Star 23. Grab the Super Star out of the treasure chest and hop over the boxes and defeat all of the enemies you can in the room 24. Take the path and go into Belome's Temple *Belome's Temple- 1. Go down the stairs 2. Turn the corner 3. Go up the path 4. Enter the next area 5. The should be a room with three heads on the wall (they should have their tongues sticking out) 6. Talk to the Shaman- for 50 coins he will let you hit the heads in any order (Jump underneath them to hit their tongues) 7. See the Odds And Ends Section for details on what you could win depending what order you hit the heads in 8. Touch the scroll on the block pedistal to recieve your reward 9. Jump up onto the ledge above 10. Go into the next room 11. In the back of this room- go down the pipe 12. In this room- you will do what your fortune tells you to do 13. Go through the door that opens 14. This will take you into the next room 15. Go down the stairs 16. Go right and then up into the next room 17. In this room you will see another head (a single one) on the wall- you don't have to pay this time- just hit it from below 18. There are two possible fortunes you can get here- the only one of use to you right now is the one that says: "Mmmmmm, I'm so hungry! (See list below for Transformations!) 22) Monster Classes I have put this here for one simple reason- most monsters that look alike are more often than not weak against the same things. That is not always the case- some monsters are elemental monsters, and therefore weak against the opposite of the element they represent (example: a fire elemental is more than likeley weak against ice!) I hope this helps! Axem Black should be tackled after you defeat Axem Pink and Axem Green. The way to defeat Axem Black is to have Mario do timed attacks, Mallow should attack with his Special Snowy, and the Princess should heal the party. *Axem Green Location: Barrel Volcano Hit Points: 450 Party Recomendation: Mario, Mallow and Princess Toadstool In the first part of the battle with the Axem Rangers you will have to fight them all seperately. Axem Green should be tackled after you defeat Axem Pink. The way to defeat Axem Green is to have Mario and Mallow do a times attack, and the Princess should heal the party. *Axem Pink Location: Barrel Volcano Hit Points: 400 Party Recomendation: Mario, Mallow and Princess Toadstool In the first part of the battle with the Axem Rangers you will have to fight them all seperately. Axem Pink should be the first one you attack since she has the least Hit Points. The way to defeat Axem Pink is to have Mario and Mallow do a timed attack and the Princess should heal the party. *Axem Rangers Location: Barrel Volcano Hit Points: 999 Party Recomendation: Mario, Mallow and Princess Toadstool This second part of the battle starts after you defeat each Axem Ranger seperately. Axem Red will hop up into mechanical head behind the group of Rangers. He is really dangerous here- he is capable of casting something called Breaker Beam that does extensive damage to the group. The way to defeat this stage is to have Mario do timed attacks, Mallow should use his Special Shocker, and the Princess as always should heal the party. *Axem Red Location: Barrel Volcano Hit Points: 800 Party Recomendation: Mario, Mallow and Princess Toadstool In the first part of the battle with the Axem Rangers you will have to fight them all seperately. Axem Red should be saved for last- he is the strongest member of the Axem Rangers and is their leader. They way to defeat Axem Red is to have Mario do times attacks, mallow should use his Special Snowy (Axem Red is weak against Ice based attacks- Axem Green is as well!) and the Princess should heal the party. *Axem Yellow Location: Barrel Volcano Hit Points: 600 Party Recomendation: Mario, Mallow and Princess Toadstool In the first part of the battle with the Axem Rangers you will have to fight them all seperately. Axem Yellow should be attacked after you defeat Axem Pink, Axem Green, and Axem Black. The way to defeat Axem Yellow is to have Mario and Mallow should do timed attacks and the Princess should heal the party. *Belome Battle #1 Location: Kero Sewers Hit Points: 500 Party Recomendation: The only party possible is Mario and Mallow Your fisrt encounter with Belome is fairly easy. Just have Mario use Super Jump and have Mallow use Thunderbolt. Remember to equip Mario with a Trueform Pin to avoid a Scarecrow attack! *Belome Battle #2 Location: Belome's Temple Hit Points: 1200 Party Recomendation: Mario, Mallow, and the Princess Belome is a bit tougher this time around- he's learned a few tricks since your last encounter: he now can clone a member or two of your party simply by tasting them- and the clone attacks you! The best strategy here is to have Mario use timed attacks, mallow should use his Special Shocker, and as always the Princess should heal the party. *Birdo Location: Nimbus Land Castle Hit Points: 777 Party Recomendation: Mario, Bowser, and the Princess This is a two part battle- first you have to fight Shelley (the Egg) once you do that you will fight the inhabitant of the egg- Birdo! The easiest way to defeat Birdo is this- since you take off such a small amount of damage by hitting Birdo herself, just hit her a few times and stop hitting her when she shoots a single egg out at you- have all of your party members defend each round- and when she shoots that single egg at you it will bounce off you and land on the nest next to her. Now the next time the option to fight comes up again for one of your party members have that one attack the egg you reflected back to Birdo and keep the other two party members defending. Once you hit the egg it does a guaranteed 80 points of damage to Birdo! Continue this pattern until Birdo is no more! *Boomer Location: Bowser's Keep Hit Points: 2000 Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and the Princess The best way to defeat Boomer is to have Mario and Bowser do timed attacks while the Princess heals the party. The best time to attack Boomer is when he casts "Vigor Up"- this will lower his defense while raising another of his stats. *Booster Location: Booster's Tower Hit Points: 800 Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and Mallow This battle with Booster (with his Snifits) is something that can be avoided. If you are able to dodge the Snifits when they look behind the curtains and you give the Mario doll back to Booster you won't have to do battle with him. The best strategy here is to take out the Snifits firts- just have everyone use timed attacks. Once the Snifits are gone concentrate on Booster. Mario and Bowser should use timed attacks and Mallow should use his Special HP Rain if necessary- otherwise he should use timed attacks as well. *Bowyer Location: Forest Maze Hit Points: 720 Recomended Party: Mario, Mallow, and Geno (the only possible party) This is an interesting battle- Bowyer will make three tiles appear in front of him labeled A, Y, and X- these represent your buttons: A- attack, Y- Specials, and X- items. When he launches an arrow and one comes down and hits one of the tiles it turns that letter off- that means you can't use the button the letter represents. That can get to be annoying after awhile. The best strategy (when possible) is to have Mario use timed attacks, Mallow should heal when necessary or just do timed attacks, and Geno should use Geno Beam or use timed attacks when he can't use his Special. *Bundt Location: Marrymore Chapel Hit Points: 800 Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and Mallow First of all, you should be at Level 8 before you fight Bundt/Raspberry- it makes the battle much easier. The best strategy here is to attack Bundt and ignore Torte and his Assistant (They barely hurt you anyways, they are just pests- but they do attack you every time you attack the cake so- eventhough they do minimal damage watch your Hit Points!) Have Mario and Bowser do timed attacks and have Mallow heal the party with HP Rain when necessary- otherwise he should use timed attacks. Once you hit Bundt for a few rounds- he starts to move- this scares Torte and his assistant away eventually (it really doesn't take that long). Once Torte and his Assistant flee Bundt's five candles on the top will light. Every time you do amage to Bundt a candle will go out- but every time Bundt does damage to you one of his candles will re-light! So beware! just have Mario and Bowser do timed attacks and have Mallow heal or attack until all of the candles go out. Once this happens the top part of the cake will disappear and you will have to fight the lower part of the cake- Raspberry! *Clerk Location: Factory Hit Points: 500 Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and the Princess This battle is very easy- I just put it here because this is an odd encounter, you will only fight this guy once! Just have Mario and Bowser use timed attacks and have the Princess heal if necessary (which it shouldn't be) or use timed attacks. *Cloaker Battle #1 Location: Gate Hit Points: 1200 Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and the Princess (the Princess is always a good choice for any party- with Group Hug she can heal all of the party members and cure all status aliments in one shot!) This is another one of those pesky two part battles! The second part of the battle depends on who you decide to kill in this battle- In this first battle you fight Cloaker and Domino together. If you focus on Cloaker and kill him, in the second battle you will face Domino with Mad Adder. If you focus on Domino and kill him, you will fight Cloaker in the second battle and he will be with Earth Link. The key to this battle is to chose either Cloaker or Domino to focus on- and attack! For Cloaker just do what you always do with this group- have Mario and Bowser use timed attacks and have the Princess use Group Hug as needed! Domino should be handled the same way- have Mario and Boswer use times attacks and have the Princess heal the party. *Cloaker Battle # 2 Loaction: Gate Hit Points: Varies Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and the Princess (Between battles you won't have a chance to change your party- this is the best one anyhow) This is the second part of the Cloaker/Domino battle- If you decided to take out Domino, you will fight Cloaker with Mad Adder. The bast strategy here is to just ignore Cloaker- he will attack you from his perch atop Mad Adder, but just focus on Mad Adder. Use the same strategy here you used in the battle before- have Mario and Bowser attack Mad Adder with timed attacks and Princess Toadstool should heal the party as needed. *Countdown Location: Gate Hit Points: 2400 Recomended Party: Mario, Mallow, and the Princess (Mallow's Specials are useful here) This battle is simple if you use Mallow's Specials here- his Shocker and Snowy Specials are very useful here. The first part of this crazy clock you should attack is the face of the clock (Countdown). The best strategy here is to have Mario use times attacks, Mallow use his Special Shocker, and to have the Princess heal as necessary. After you have taken out the face of the clock, it is time to turn your attention to the two bells on top of it (ding A Ling 1&2). Make sure you only attack one bell at a time (Except when you use Mallow's Snowy Special, it hits both bells at once- but Mario should focus his attack on only one of them). Just have Mallow use his Snowy Special and have Mario use a timed attack, and the Princess should heal the party with Group Hug when it is needed. *Croco Battle #1 Location: Bandit's Way Hit Points: 320 Recomended Party: The only possible party is Mario and Mallow The best way to take Croco out is to have Mario use his Special Fire Orb. Mallow should heal the party as needed or give Mario Honey Syrups as needed. *Croco Battle #2 Location: Moleville Mines Hit Points: 750 Recomended Party: Mario, Mallow, and Geno (The only possible party) Croco is much nastier this time around- about halfway through the battle he will steal your items to make your task that much more difficult! Well the best strategy here is to have Mario and Geno use timed attacks while Mallow heals when necessary, if it isn't necessary to heal Mallow should just do timed attacks. *Culex Location: Monstro Town Hit Points: 4096 Recomended Party: Mario, Mallow, and the Princess This is an extremely difficult and time consuming battle! I recomend not attempting to battle Cultex and the Crystals until you have- a. reached at least Level 26 b. defeated Jinx and gotten the Jinx Belt c. gotten the Lazy Shell Armor and equip it on the Princess d. gotten the Lazy Shell weapon for Mario. This is another one of those pesky multi part battles- you have to fight Cultex and 4 Crystals! And to make it really bad they all attack at once and all have very strong magic! You should first work on the Crystals in front of Cultex. Take them out in this order: Earth Crystal (Yellow), Fire Crystal (Red), Water Crystal (Blue), and the Wind Crystal (Green). First the Earth Crystal, you should approach this by having Mario use timed attacks, Mallow use his Special Shocker, and have the Princess heal EVERY ROUND! That is important! The Crystals and Cultex use heavy magic that takes off major Hit Points and cause status ailments! Once you take out the Earth Crystal (it is always good to get rid of one of them!) focus on the Fire Crystal. The Fire Crystal should be handled like this: Have Mario use timed attacks, mallow should use his Special Snowy, and the Princess should ALWAYS heal! After the Fire Crystal is no more focus on the Water Crystal. Mario and Mallow should both use timed attacks here and the Princess should heal EVERY ROUND! After the Water Crystal is gone attack the Wind Crystal. This Crystal should be handled the same way you tackled the Fire Crystal- Mario and Mallow should use timed attacks and the Princess should heal EVERY ROUND! After the Crystals are no more go after Cultex finally! Just keep having Mario and Mallow use timed attacks and the Princess should heal as necessary (Cultex really doesn't attack that much) and when she isn't healing she should also use timed attacks. *Czar Dragon Location: Barrel Volcano Hit Points: 1400 Recomended Party: Mario, Mallow, and the Princess This is yet another one of those pesky two part battles. Czar Dragon is the first part and Zombone is the second part. To defeat Czar Dragon have Mario use timed attacks, Mallow should use his Specila Snowy and the Princess should heal if necessary, if healing isn't necessary then she should use timed attacks. To defeat Zombone, Mario should use timed attacks, Mallow should use his Special Shocker, and the Princess should heal the party, if healing isn't necessary then the Princess should use timed attacks. *Ding-A-Ling Location: Gate Hit Points: 1200 Recomended Party: Mario, Mallow, and the Princess (Mallow's Specials are useful here) This battle is simple if you use Mallow's Specials here- his Shocker and Snowy Specials are very useful here. *Director Location: Factory Hit Points: 1000 Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and the Princess This battle is very easy- I just put it here because this is an odd encounter, you will only fight this guy once! Just have Mario and Bowser use timed attacks and have the Princess heal if necessary (which it shouldn't be) or use timed attacks. *Dodo Battle #1 Location: Nimbus Land Castle Hit Points: 800 Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and the Princess This battle is easy- just have Mario and Bowser use timed attacks and have the Princess heal if really necessary, otherwise she should just use timed attacks. *Dodo Battle #2 Location: Nimbus Land Castle Hit Points: 1000 Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and the Princess This battle won't even have to happen if you are quick with the Super Star from the previous room. If you have to fight him use the same strategy as you used for the first encounter with Dodo. Have Mario and Bowser use timed attacks and the Princess should heal when necessary or she should just use timed attacks. *Dodo Battle #3- With Valentina Location: Numbus Land Hit Points: Varies Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and the Princess It is very important that before you engage in battle with Valentina and Dodo that Bowser is your middle party member- because when you start the battle Dodo will take your middle party member away from the battle with Valentina so that member can fight Dodo alone. Just have Bowser use timed attacks on Dodo. After Bowser finishes off Dodo (a few rounds after he finishes off Dodo) the two will return to the battle with Valentina. While Bowser and Dodo are away Mario should use timed attacks on Valentina and the Princess should heal EVERY ROUND because Valentina has some pretty heavy magic! Once Bowser and Dodo return Mario and Bowser should use timed attacks on Valentina- IGNORE DODO! And the Princess should continue to heal EVERY ROUND! Once Valentina is defeated She and Dodo will flee. *Domino Location: Gate Hit Points: 900 Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and the Princess (the Princess is always a good choice for any party- with Group Hug she can heal all of the party members and cure all status aliments in one shot!) This is another one of those pesky two part battles! *Domino Battle #2 Location: Gate Hit Points: Varies Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and the Princess (Between battles you won't have a chance to change your party- this is the best one anyhow) This is the second part of the Cloaker/Domino battle- If you decided to take out Cloaker, you will fight Domino with Earth Link. The bast strategy here is to just ignore Domino- he will attack you from his perch atop Earth Link but just focus on Earth Link. Use the same strategy here you used in the battle before- have Mario and Bowser attack Earth Link with timed attacks and Princess Toadstool should heal the party as needed. *Earth Crystal Location: Monstro Town Hit Points: 3200 Recomended Party: Mario, Mallow, and the Princess This is an extremely difficult and time consuming battle! *Earth Link Location: Gate Hit Points: 2500 Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and the Princess (Between battles you won't have a chance to change your party- this is the best one anyhow) This is the second part of the Cloaker/Domino battle- If you decided to take out Cloaker, you will fight Domino with Earth Link. *Exor Location: Bowser's Keep Roof Hit Poits: 1800 Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and the Princess This is yet ANOTHER multi part battle (Exor, Neosquid, Left Eye, and Right Eye)! I hate these! The way to victory is this- take out the Left Eye! This will drop Exor's defense so you can attack it! Exor is the main target and what you really need to defeat. The way to take out the Left Eye is to have Mario and Bowser use timed attacks until it drops Exor's defense and the eye changes from a black circle to a squiggle. Once this happens attack Exor! Mario and Bowser should use timed attacks on Exor while the Princess heals (as always). Once the Left Eye comes back around attack it again until it gets squiggly again- then attack Exor again. Continue this pattern until Exor is defeated and you get sucked into it's mouth. *Factory Chief Location: Factory Hit Points: 1000 Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and the Princess This is another of those annoying multi part BATTLES! This is fairly easy though. First, turn all of your attantion to Gunyolk. He can be very dangerous and should be taken out as quickly as possible (Remember the Breaker Beam the Axem Rangers used- he knows it too!) Have Mario and Bowser use timed attacks and the Princess should heal the party. Once Gunyolk is no more turn your attention to the Factory Chief. Have Mario and Bowser both use timed attacks and the Princess should continue to heal or attack if healing isn't necessary. *Fire Crystal Location: Monstro Town Hit Points: 2500 Recomended Party: Mario, Mallow, and the Princess This is an extremely difficult and time consuming battle! After the Crystals are no more go after Cultex finally! Just keep having Mario and Mallow use timed attacks and the Princess should heal as necessary (Cultex really doesn't attack that much) and when she isn't healing she should also use timed attacks. *Grate Guy Location: Booster's Tower Hit Points: 900 Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and Mallow (The only possible party) The best strategy here is to attack Knife Guy first. Mario and Bowser should both use timed attacks and Mallow should heal as necessary or use his Special Thunderbolt. After a few rounds Knife Guy will hop up on Grate Guy's shoulders and continue to attack you from up there (Like Domino and Cloaker do from atop Earth Link or Mad Adder). Continue to attack Knife Guy- once he is defeated he will hop down off Grate Guy's shoulders and dissappear into the usual coin display. Now focus on Grate Guy- just have Mario and Bowser use timed attacks and Mallow should use timed attacks when he isn't healing. *Gunyolk Location: Factory Hit Points: 1500 Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and the Princess This is another of those annoying multi part BATTLES! *Hammer Bros Location: Mushroom Way Hit Points: 50 Recomended Party: Mario (The only party member you have- this IS the first boss afterall!) There is really no easy way to do this. Make sure you are up a few levels before you go looking for trouble- maybe Level 4 or 5. Then the best way to do this is to do this is to attacks them one at a time- use Flame Orb here or use timed attacks (If you listen to me and get to level 5 you will have Flame Orb and it makes life just a bit easier) Just keep attacking one of them until it's gone and then go after the other one until it dies too! *Helio Location: Barrel Volcano Hit Points: 10 Recomended Party: Mario, Mallow, and the Princess Thsi isn't really a boss- these pesky things appear with Czar Dragon and explode. I just thought I'd mention them : ) *Jagger Location: Monstro Town Hit Points: 600 Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and the Princess Handle this battle the way you do the first battle with Jinx. Have Mario and Bowser use timed attacks and the Princess should heal as necessary- otherwise she can use timed attacks. *Jinx Battle #1 Location: Monstro Town Hit Points: 600 Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and the Princess The best strategy here is to just have Mario and Bowser use timed attacks (Mario really should have the Lazy Shell Weapon and the princess should have the Lazy Shell Armor by now- I always wait to tackle the bosses of Monstro Town after I have been to Nimbus Land and have the Fertalizer and Seeds and have been to Rose Town to the the Lazy Shell stuff) and the Princess should heal if necessary. Jinx isn't really that strong in the first battle. *Jinx Battle #2 Location: Monstro Town Hit Points: 800 Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and the Princess Now this battle is harder that the first- Jinx has learned some new tricks: Quicksilver and Silver Bullet (Instant Death, remember?) This battle should be handled the same way you handled the first battle with Jinx- have Mario and Bowser use regular attacks and the Princess should heal as necessary and revive any downed party members (that fall victim to Jinx's Silver Bullet attack) with a Pick Me Up or her Come Back Special *Jinx Battle #3 Location: Monstro Town Hit Points: 1000 Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and the Princess Now this battle is MUCH harder that the first two- Jinx has learned one more new trick: Bombs Away which drains LOTS of Hit Points from the target. This battle should be handled the same way you handled the first two battles with Jinx- have Mario and Bowser use regular attacks and the Princess should heal as necessary and revive any downed party members (that fall victim to Jinx's Silver Bullet attack) with a Pick Me Up or her Come Back Special. *Johnathan Jones Location: Sunken Ship Hit Points: 820 Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and the Princess This battle is easy- especially if you are above Level 12! My only advise is to ignore the Bandana Blues in front of Johnny. The Bandana's do very little damage to you anyways. Just focus on attacking Johnny- have Mario and Bowser use timed attacks and the Princess should use timed attacks or heal if necessary. *King Calamari Location: Sunken Ship Hit Points: 800 Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and the Princess The Princess comes in very handy here- This is a multi section boss but all part of the same thing- when you first enter the room you have to fight 2 rows of three tentacles each. The tentacles will take a party member off the screen and that will cause a fear attack- just have the Princess use her Group Hug Special to cure this for all party members ane recover some Hit Points. While the Princess worries about keeping the party healthy, Mario and Bowser should just concentrate on using timed attacks. Now when you finally get to King Calamari, have the princess continue to heal, Mario should use his Super Flame Special on King Calamari, and Bowser should use timed attacks on the Tentacles. *Knife Guy Location: Booster's Tower Hit Points: 700 Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and Mallow (The only possible party) The best strategy here is to attack Knife Guy first. *Left Eye Location: Bowser's Keep Roof Hit Points: 300 Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and the Princess This is yet ANOTHER multi part battle(Exor, Neosquid, Left Eye, and Right Eye)! *Mack Location: Mushroom Kingdom Hit Points: 480 Recomended Party: Mario and Mallow This battle can be a pain- Mack keeps jumping off the screen and continues to bring more Bodyguards for you to deal with. My only recomendation is to have both Mario and Mallow use timed attacks on Mack when he is on the screen- ignore the bodyguards. But to get Mack to come back to the screen after he has jumped away, you will have to take out the Bodyguards. Just continue to attack Mack while he is on the screen and attack the Bodyguards to get him back on the screen when he jumps away. Also, make sure Mallow and Mario keep their Hit Points up! *Mad Adder Location: Gate Hit Points: 1500 Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and the Princess (Between battles you won't have a chance to change your party- this is the best one anyhow) This is the second part of the Cloaker/Domino battle- If you decided to take out Domino, you will fight Cloaker with Mad Adder. *Magikoopa Location: Bowser's Keep Hit Points: 1600 Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and the Princess The best strategy is to attack Magikoopa as much as you can. When he summons a monster it blocks you from attacking Magikoopa. Attack what he summons and then go back to attacking Magikoopa when you can. The best attack on the summoned monsters and Magikoopa is to have all three party members attack- only the Princess should break from attacking when healing is necessary. *Manager Location: Factory Hit Points: 800 Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and the Princess This battle is very easy- I just put it here because this is an odd encounter, you will only fight this guy once! Just have Mario and Bowser use timed attacks and have the Princess heal if necessary (which it shouldn't be) or use timed attacks. *Megasmilax Location: Bean Valley Hit Points: 1000 Recomended Party: Mario, Mallow and the Princess This is another multi part battle- you fight a series of Simalaxes (1 Similax, then after you defeat the one you have to defeat 2, and after defeating those you have to fight 3 Similaxes together, and then after that you finally get to the main battle- 1 MegaSimilax and 2 Similaxes!) Make it easy on yourself when you go to defeat the regular Similaxes (even when they are in bunches) use Mallow's Snowy Special! Have Mario and the Princess use timed attacks if it is necessary. Now onto MegaSimilax! Concentrate on MegaSimilax to start. Have Mario use timed attacks, Mallow should use his Special Snowy, and the Princess should use timed attacks when she isn't healing. After you take out MegaSimilax kill the two small Similaxes with Mallow's Special Snowy and have Mario and the Princess use timed attacks if necessary. *Neosquid Location: Bowser's Keep Roof Hit Points: 800 Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and the Princess This is yet ANOTHER multi part battle (Exor, Neosquid, Left Eye, and Right Eye)! *Punchinello Location: Moleville Mines Hit Points: 1200 Recomended Party: Mario, Geno, and Mallow (The only possible party) First of all- you should be at Level 7 or above before engaging in battle with Punchinello- his bombs can do some serious damage when they connect! Just keep on hittting Punchinello with all you have! Have Mario and Geno use timed attacks and Mallow should use his Special Thunderbolt. He will send out a series of bombs durning the battle (MicroBombs, Bob-Ombs, Mezzo Bombs, and a King Bomb!)- just deal with them acordingly- attack them if you don;t think you can survive a hit by them. *Raspberry Location: Marrymore Chapel Hit Points: 500 Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and Mallow See Bundt in the Bosses list for the instructions on how to beat the first part of this Boss. Now once Bundt dissappears he leaves the second part of this battle- the bottom part of the cake- Raspberry! Just do what you did for Bundt- have Mario and Bowser use timed attacks and have Mallow heal as needed or use timed attacks when healing isn't necessary. Eventually, Booster and his Snifits will come in- they do a funny scene here that really can't be missed (not that you have a choice- but it is funny). The scene ends with the Snifits tossing Raspberry into Booster's mouth- end of Battle! *Right Eye Location: Bowser's Keep Roof Hit Points: 500 Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and the Princess This is yet ANOTHER multi part battle (Exor, Neosquid, Left Eye, and Right Eye)! *Shelly Location: Nimbus Land Castle Hit Points: 500 Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and the Princess As I said up above in the Birdo section, this is a two part boss- Shelly and Birdo. The first part is Shelly. To defeat Shelly is simple just have your entire party do timed attacks. The egg will crack and eventually reveal Birdo! *Smelter Location: Factory Hit Points: 1500 Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and the Princess Now this is one of the last multi section bosses you have to face. Smithy and the Smelter! Smithy will also create Shypers to try to distract you- don't let them! Concentrate all of your energy on Smithy himself! Have Mario and Bowser attack Smithy with timed attacks and the Princess needs to HEAL EVERY ROUND! Smithy has some heavy duty magic to dich out! If you just focus on Smithy the battle will be over before you know it. And if you make sure the Princess is wearing the Lazy Shell Armor then she will be protected enough (Smithy usually only does 1 point of damage to the Princess when she is wearing this) to revive any downed party members should Smithy kill one. *Smithy Battle #1 Location: Factory Hit Points 2000 Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and the Princess Now this is one of the last multi section bosses you have to face. And if you make sure the Princess is wearing the Lazy Shell Armor then she will be protected enough (Smithy usually only does 1 point of damage to the Princess when she is wearing this) to revive any downed party members should Smithy kill one. *Smithy Battle #2 With The Different Heads Location: Factory Hit Points (Body): 1000 All Heads Total Hit Points: 8000 Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and the Princess Now this is the FINAL BATTLE! Yippie! Smithy is still a pain here so keep your guard up, no Final Battle is EVER easy! Smithy will change heads here and you have to defeat them. All of the heads TOTAL have 8000 Hit Points. There are a few aproaches you can take to defeat Smithy- Take out his body (which has 1000 Hit Points) so that Smithy will be unable to change heads, OR do what I do- just continue to attack the head that he has. Have Mario and Bowser use timed attacks and the Princess should still heal. Eventually he will switch to a head that resembles a Treasure Chest, he should be getting near death when you see this one. Just continue to have Mario and Bowser use timed attacks on the head and have the Princess heal when necessary or use timed attacks when she is able to break from healing. Take out Smithy and you win the game! *Smithy Head Number 1: Oval With Crown Location: Factory Hit Points (Body): 1000 All Heads Total Hit Points: 8000 Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and the Princess Now this is the FINAL BATTLE! Just continue to have Mario and Bowser use timed attacks on the head and have the Princess heal when necessary or use timed attacks when she is able to break from healing. Take out Smithy and you win the game! *Smithy Head Number 2: The Tank Location: Factory Hit Points (Body): 1000 All Heads Total Hit Points: 8000 Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and the Princess Now this is the FINAL BATTLE! Yippie! Smithy is still a pain here so keep your guard up, no Final Battle is EVER easy! Smithy will change heads here and you have to defeat them. All of the heads TOTAL have 8000 Hit Points. Take out Smithy and you win the game! *Smithy Head Humber 3: Safe With Window Location: Factory Hit Points (Body): 1000 All Heads Total Hit Points: 8000 Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and the Princess Now this is the FINAL BATTLE! Yippie! Smithy is still a pain here so keep your guard up, no Final Battle is EVER easy! Smithy will change heads here and you have to defeat them. All of the heads TOTAL have 8000 Hit Points. Just continue to have Mario and Bowser use timed attacks on the head and have the Princess heal when necessary or use timed attacks when she is able to break from healing. Take out Smithy and you win the game! *Smithy Head Number 4: Treasure Chest Location: Factory Hit Points (Body): 1000 All Heads Total Hit Points: 8000 Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and the Princess Now this is the FINAL BATTLE! *Smithy Head Number 5: The Zombie Location: Factory Hit Points (Body): 1000 All Heads Total Hit Points: 8000 Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and the Princess Now this is the FINAL BATTLE! Yippie! Smithy is still a pain here so keep your guard up, no Final Battle is EVER easy! Smithy will change heads here and you have to defeat them. All of the heads TOTAL have 8000 Hit Points. Take out Smithy and you win the game! *Tentacles Location: Sunken Ship Hit Points: 200 Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and the Princess The Princess comes in very handy here- This is a multi section boss but all part of the same thing- when you first enter the room you have to fight 2 rows of three tentacles each. *Torte Location: Marrymore Chapel Hit Points: 100 Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and Mallow First of all, you should be at Level 8 before you fight Bundt/Raspberry- it makes the battle much easier. *Valentina Location: Nimbus Land Hit Points: 2000 Recomended Party: Mario, Bowser, and the Princess It is very important that before you engage in battle with Valentina and Dodo that Bowser is your middle party member- because when you start the battle Dodo will take your middle party member away from the battle with Valentina so that member can fight Dodo alone. *Water Crystal Location: Monstro Town Hit Points: 1800 Recomended Party: Mario, Mallow, and the Princess This is an extremely difficult and time consuming battle! *Wind Crystal Location: Monstro Town Hit Points: 800 Recomended Party: Mario, Mallow, and the Princess This is an extremely difficult and time consuming battle! Attack the real Yardiovich with Mallow's Shocker Special, have Mario use timed attacks and the Princess should heal as necessary or just use timed attacks. *Yardiovich Mirage Location: Seaside Town Hit Points: 500 Recomended Party: Mario, Princess Toadstool, and Mallow This battle can be a pain because Yardiovich can create a clone of himself (Yardiovich Mirage) but there is an easy way to tell which one is the real one- just use Mallow's Psychopath Special to determine this- the Mirage only has 500 Hit Points, the REAL Yardiovich has 1500! 24) Monsters- Bosses Included This list is of all of the monsters in Super Mario RPG. The * marks indicate a boss- I know it seems like there are lost of them, but I consider a boss anything that is an unusual fight- not the run of the mill encounter (There is only one of them in a game). I figured they would be easier to reference this way. This also includes the treasure inside! *Bandit's Way- Treasure- Kerokero Cola 1. Go to the second area- the place you have to jump on the red flowers that spin so you can get to the higher areas 2. Make your way to the exit- by another red flower 3. Jump onto the flower- stay there until you face wait to the right 4. Jump to the right- get the chest! *Bean Valley- Treasure- Frog Coin 1. Beginning of Bean Valley 2. Go into the pipe to the right 3. From where you come up go left toward the path going up the hills- to the left side of the left hand pipe 4. Walk to the end of the above mentioned path and jump- voila! Chest! *Bean Valley- Treasure- Kerokero Cola - 1. Go to the area with five pipes 2. Wait for the Shy Away to water the lower right hand pipe 3. When the Piranha comes to life, kill it! 4. Head down the pipe 5. Take that path around until you see a chest (It is visible) 6. The easiest way to do this is to count the tiles on the floor- from directly underneath the chest you can see go forward 6 tiles (or 5- I really can't remember- but I'll get the definate answer and post it in an update) 7. Jump up and Viola! Chest! *Bean Valley- Treasure- Red Essence 1. Go to the area with five pipes 2. Wait for the Shy Away to water the right hand pipe 3. When the Piranha comes to life, kill it! 4. Head down the pipe 5. Try to stay against the wall if you can- it just makes it easier 6. Go up and sort of diagonally to the right- you are trying to get to the yellow stairs 7. Get to the corner just before you reach the stairs 8. Jump up and Presto! Chest! *Belome's Temple- Treasure- Frog Coin 1. Now this one might seem a bit strange- the invisible chest is just above a visible one! 2. Make your way to the place where you have your fortune told (the three heads on the walls) 3. Jump up and onto the ledge just above the stairway going down- make sure you get to the highest ledge there is 4. Make your way to the chest at the beginning of this room 5. Jump from here so you land on top of the chest 6. Jump once more and this will reveal the chest *Belome's Temple Treasure- Frog Coin 1. Go down the staircase I mentioned above 2. You should reach a place where there is a corner to the left of you- if you reach the next chest that is visible you have gone too far 3. Stand in the corner (Do we have a dunce cap?) and jump up 4. The chest will appear! *Booster Pass Treasure- Flower 1. Booster Pass beginning- go straight and turn left with the path 2. Jump to the lower ledge- there should be plants here- green ones 3. Now jump up to the higher ledge 4. Hop on top of the plant up here and jump up 5. ~Ta da!~ a chest! *Booster's Pass Treasure- Rock Candy 1. Go through the first area and stop when you get to the path leading to the next area 2. Jump onto the plant to the left 3. When you get on it, jump again 4. Gee--- another chest! *Booster's Tower Treasure- Frog Coin 1. Go up to the stairs where you see a line of Sniffits coming out of the next room into this one and going down the stairs 2. Get up to the top of the stairs 3. Jump up at the first dark green tile you come to next to the back wall 4. WOW! Another chest! *Booster's Tower Treasure- Frog Coin 1. Make your way to the room where the Spookums are parachuting in from above- the room above where you use the Twomp on the teeter totter to jump up to the next area 2. Get to the area where there is a path going into the wall- to the side of the stairs 3. Go in as far as possible and jump up- there is another chest *Booster's Tower Treasure- Goodie Bag 1. Make your way to the area with a Save Block and some ledges that seem to be suspended in the air 2. Jump up to the highest ledge from the lowest one 3. DO NOT JUMP ON THE LEDGE WITH THE CHEST ON IT 4. Jump on top of the visible chest 5. Jump again to make the invisible chest visible! *Booster's Tower Treasure- Mushroom 1. Jump to make the chest appear! *Factory Treasure- Mushroom 1. Make your way through the Factory until you reach the room with the second Save Block 2. Stand down and to the left of the Save Block in the corner 3. Jump up and here is the chest! *Forest Maze Treasure- Kerokero Cola 1. Go to the right of the exit to the next area 5. Just hop around in this general area- the chest is here, really! *Land's End Treasure- Flower 1. This one is in the first area 2. Get into the cannon 3. Aim for the moving yellow platform 4. Once you land on it, stand in the upper corner 5. Once it has reached it's highest point jump straight off the platform 6. This should make the chest appear 7. The only stinky part about this is that you have to do this all over agin to get the contents of the chest *Land's End Treasure- Flower 1. Go through the first section into the second section 2. Jump into the cannon and shoot yourself up to the upper ledge 3. Hopefully you will land in the square ditch, if you don't just hop down into it 4. Fight the Chows 5. Jump out of the hole 6. Make your way to the 2nd pipe- wait for the coast to be clear and go down the pipe 3. Once you emerge, walk on until you reach the higher ledge 4. Now the easiest way to explain this is to have you count the tiles (squares) on the ledge above 5. From the starting point of the beginning of the high ledge- count four tiles forward 6. Jump up and there is the chest! *Pipe Vault Treasure- Frog Coin 1. The instructions for this chest are just the same as above but instead of counting 4 tiles ahead count EIGHT tiles ahead (from the beginning of the high ledge) 2. Before you get into your next battle unequip all of your armor. And then just let the monsters kill you. you will start back at your last save point (which usually isn't all that far away) will all of your Experience Points! But don't do this too much- it really is cheating! *There is treasure to be found in the Forest Maze! Just remember what the Man in Rose Town says (you jump up to his house and hit the Green ! Switch to create the stairs and let him back into his house- he gives you a hint!) He tells you to go Left, Left, Straight, and Right and you will find something, nice! The treasure is 1 Flower Tab, 1 Mushroom, and 1 Frog Coin! *After you defeat Valentina, she can be found in Booster's Tower on the Balcont where the Princess was. *If you jump on a Wiggler ten times in the Forest Maze (that is ten times in a row) you will get a Frog Coin! *The Dream Pillow- Sleep in the Inn with the Dream Pillow (600 Coins) in Nimbus Land a few times, you will have a dream about Toad. You will wake up and see Toad and be frightened. He will give you three Red Essences. *8 Bit Mario- See the Tough Spots (Booster's Tower part) for the exact location of the curtain you walk behind. Just walk behind the curtain and change into 8 Bit Mario. It only works once and lasts until you try to leave the room. *Prizes- There is a jumping contest and to find out about it talk to the monsters in the first door when you first enter Monstro Town. There are prizes for jumping a certain number of times (Using Mario's Super Jump Special) 30 Jumps- Attack Scarf Accessory 100 Jumps- Super Suit *The Look The Other Way Game- This is played in Grate Guys Casino. Play the game 100 times (You don't have to win it 100 times) and Grate Guy will give you the Star Egg! *Fight and beat Jinx in Monstro Town three times and get the Jinx Belt! *Fight Cultex, the hidden boss of Monstro Town, and get the Quartz Charm accessory! *The Temple Key can be found in Monstro Town on a ledge. Talk to the Twomp inside the first house- talk to him a few times more! He will keep pounding the ground every time you speak to him. This will cause the Key to fall off the ledge above. Go outside and collect the Temple Key! Take the Key back to Belome's Temple. Get the fortune before the elevator that says "Sorry, I am not accepting visitors past me bedtime". Take the elevator back down and you will reach a treasure room- feed the Temple Key to the golden Belome Statue blocking the entrance to the room- after eating the key he will move giving you access to the treasure! *The password in the Sunken Ship to gain access to the battle with King Calamari is "PEARLS"! *In one of the Quiz Courses in Bowser's Keep there is one with four monsters to the left side of the room near the end of the course. They all participated in a Triathalon- the puzzle is to touch them in the order in which they finished in. The correct order (by what they tell you) is: First Place is the one that tells you- "I outrode_______ on my bike, and _______ was never able to pass me!" Second Place is the one that tells you- "I fell into fourth place during the bike race, but finally ended up in the same place as I did in the Swimming Event." Thrid Place is the one that tells you- "I placed the same in the Swimming and Cycling Events, but two others beat me in the Marathon." Fourth Place is the one that tells you- "I came in third for Swimming." The participant that says each thing changes each time you play the game. The participants are always The Big Boo, Kip, Goomba, and Bones though. *You can buy the Mushroom Boy's Game Boy in Rose Town for 500 Coins. You can get things like Rock Candy, Red Essence, and Flower Jars-Boxes- Tabs just by beating his High Score! *The Pass to Grate Guy's Casino can be sold to the man at the Marrymore Inn. He will first offer you 100 Coins- refuse his offer. He then will offer you 5 Frog Coins! Refuse his offer again! He then will offer you 10 Frog Coins! This time take him up on his offer. But Be Warned! There is only one pass to the Grate Guys Casino- you can't play the Knife Guy's game in Booster's Tower again to get another one! You can however buy it back from the man in Marrymore but it will cost you 15 FROG COINS! The card can also be sold elsewhere for 777 Coins. *If you have Bowser as an active member of your party in Bowser's Keep- he will frighten certain monsters away (like Goombas) so you don't have to fight them! *The locations of the Three Musty Fear's Flags: The Big Boo's Flag- Between the "O" and the "A" on the GOAL line of Yoster's Island Greaper's Flag- Behind the Wooden Flower at the entrance of Rose Town Dry Bones' Flag- Under the bed at Mario's pad in the Pipe House *Link from The Legend Of Zelda? Just take a snooze in Rose Town! When you wake up he'll be in the bed next to your bed! *The Terrapins in the Opening Part of the game give you NO EXPERIENCE POINTS OR COINS- just IGNORE them! *Go to the Marrymore Suite (the 200 Coins one) and spend the night. And when you are asked if you want to sepnd more time there say yes (but make sure you can't afford the extra time)- go downstairs and the man behind the counter will make you work off your debt by showing guests to their rooms. They will sometimes tip you with things like Mushrooms, coins, and even (after awhile) a Flower Jar! *You will see Croco again in Nimbus Land- he is in a house on the right side of town. He will leave in such a hurry after you speak with him that he will drop a Signal Ring! This accessory alerts you every time you are in a place with a hidden treasure chest (when it is equipped on an active party member). *There is a place in the Pipe Vault where you can stomp Goombas for coins (Talk to the Mole there)- the coins are both regular ones and Frog Coins! It costs 10 coins to play. A regular Goomba gives you +1 point, a Spikey gives you -1 point, and a Gold Goomba gives you +3 points! If you are able to get 20 points the first time you play the game you are rewarded with a Flower Tab! If you are able to beat the high score you get 1 Frog Coin! And each time after that you are able to beat the high score you get 1 Frog Coin! *The Cricket Jam! This can be found in the Kero Sewers- but you have to reach it from Land's End! Go to the Sky Bridge. Look for a hole with smoke coming out of it. Hop in it! Once you get down the hole, take the path until it ends. Once you get to the box, hold down the left and down buttons and then jump up to the box! Voila, Cricket Jam! *There are lost of "Mini-Games throughout Mario RPG. Here is a list of them: The Midas River, The Mushroom Derby, The Moleville Mining Cart Ride, Booster Hill, The Sky Bridge, Land's End Cliff Scaling, The Three Musty Fears' Hide The Flag Game, Grate Guy's Casino, and Knife Guy's "Find The Yellow Ball" Game. *The reward for scaling the Sky Troopa's Wall in Land's End (When you lump on their shells to reach the top) in under 11:50 seconds is a Troopa Pin- do it in 11 Seconds or less (after getting the Troopa Pin) is 5 Frog Coins! *This is a listing of the treasures you can get in Belome's Temple, depending in what order you hit the statues in: Left, Center, Right- 50% Chance of getting a Mushroom or a 50% chance of getting a Yoshi Cookie. Left, Right, Center- 100% chance or getting a Yoshi Cookie Center, Right, Left- 50% chance of fighting three Chows or a 50% of fighting a Shy Away. Right, Left, Center- 70% of getting 100 Coins and a 30% chance of getting a Frog Coin Right, Center, Left- 100% chance of getting 100 Coins! *Getting into Grate Guy's Casino- I first recommend getting the Pass To Grate Guy's casino from playing Kinfe Guy's game of "Find The Yellow Ball" in Booster's Tower. After you have the pass, go to Bean Valley. Make your way to the place where the Shy Away is floating around, watering an area filled with pipes (Well about five or six pipes). Wait for the Shy Away to water the top plant in the pipe (the one closest to the save block)- fight the plant when it appears. After you defeat the monsters, go down the pipe. There will be some Geckits here and a Golden Chomp- fight the Golden Chomp and then jump three times to the right of where the Chomp was (You'll hear a sound when you do it so you know you are in the right place). Jump on the block that appears and you're there! *The deal about the Lamb's Lure, Sheep Attack, etc...- Now, I know some of you reading this wonder how to get the so called elusive Lamb's Lure/Sheep Attack. That is simple. Have Princess Toadstool equip the B'Tub Ring Accessory and use the Mystery Egg ten times in battle- the Mystery Egg will convert to the Lamb's Lure. Now keep the B'Tub Ring equipped and have Princess Toadstool use the Lamb's Lure 48 times in battle. The Lamb's Lure will change into the Sheep Attack! 35) Author's Notes Well, now with that said- I hope you do read and enjoy my walkthrough.
