Intro A generally grim game (pun), this makes me wonder why people made this a highly requested FAQ. Anyway, I feel like knocking off something, and I'm restless so here it is. It's sort of a complicated control scheme, as you only use two buttons throughout the game. The graphics are very detailed; you can almost see facial expressions and the walls and landscapes are nice. The music is repetitive at times but keeps with the scene. The color is mostly dreary to match the theme of the game but a few times it turns vibrant and shines. 2. Story The widely used, girl in distressed, you must rescue her applies here, except it is your girlfriend (big difference). The vampire who took her is hungry, and he needed a quickie so here you are. You must trek through gargantuan castles and battle horrifying fiends. On the way there you get to punch out all kinds of creatures. Are you ready? To the controls! 3. Controls Up - Climb up on ledge/Open Chests B - Attack X - Jump Jump then attack - Jump Kick Hold B then back - Back Up -> - Walk Forward -> 2 times - Run -> 2 times then attack - Shoulder Ram -> 2 times then jump - Long Jump -> 2 times then down + attack - Slide -> 2 times then up + attack - Roundhouse Kick *Note - This is not the definitive way to go, there are different ways to get out, these are just the ways I have done it. 4. Dungeon Push left on the crate to fall down. Thrash the goblins if you want, it's not necessary. Press up on the chest just once then bounce up before the centipede comes back out. Head in the first broken door and withdraw two items. Neglect the staircase and into the next door. Combo the zombie then press up 3 times at the chest. Now scale the staircase. Execute a slide to get under the giant rock and see the giant knives. Run under them quick like and go into the chest 2 times. Stroll up the stairs. Smash both goblins so they don't bother you then step on the coffin and lift up. Take the crystals and run to the end past the falling cadavers. One goblin at the end gives up an item so take him out. Spring across the spikes and dispatch the walking Frankenstein. Execute another slide under a wall then hop up the steps. Inside the hole and push the stone over for 3 items in a chest. Fare and open a chest. At the end go outside, terminate both goblins for crystals. Move past the pack of wild wolves and face the boss. See the boss section for details. 5. Mosaic Punch up the goblin if you want then start running. Run past the eyeball head, I know of no way to defend against it. Slide under the marble and leap over the spikes. Drop down then slide under the left wall. Punch out the goblin and get a crystal. Climb up the next rock then climb left. Under a rock then another swiftly trash the Frankenstein for 3 crystals. Leap up the wall then activate the switch to leave here. Stifle the mummy or not, then run on to the exit here. Hit the zombie and evade the clawed door for another zombie with a crystal. Leave out here and your time limit is refreshed. Make a running leap and the window grabber won't grab you. Down is a Frankenstein, so make him a stiff corpse. Slide under and take out the goblin and move right. Drop down and ram the eyeball head. At the end obtain 2 crystals and an hourglass. Upward bound on the platforms before they crumble. Move across, and then leap again away from the grabbers. Push the wall to hit the switch, which opens the door. Whew, that was a lot. Ruin the zombies and be sure to pick up any crystals they leave. After the second slide under another wall then proceed to the exit. Tear up the goblins for crystals, which increase your strength. Read the boss section for details here. 6. Mansion There are some heavy hitters here. For instance, the crowbar equipped zombie takes off one heart a swipe. Dodge and rush then home in on him. Slide under past the specter axe and move hastily since there is another ghost axe. Make sure the ax is on the other side somewhere then jump on the brown platform. Jump on the small crevice then down. Walk on the coffin to go in the black opening. Skip the first and go only to the middle chest for 4 items. Press the switch over for the clawed door and face a crowbar zombie + a demon dog. Climb up then run past the 1st fat guy and stand on the rotting floor. Get an hourglass and 4 more items out of the chest. On the bottom, evade the ceiling spikes then go inside the chest and push the tile over. Past the spikes again into the now open stairway. Stroll past more spikes for a chest then slide under the space. Move under some spikes then on a coffin, duck since an arrow flies at you. Shove the fake wall on the switch and leave. Spring over then drop carefully and move another wall. Bound up to avoid a confrontation with two zombies. If you want, puncture the fat balloon man then jump and drop down the crevices onto a platform. Jump over and take two health refreshers. Speedily run past the spikes and into the next part. Take the dead man's crystal and leave before more come. Down then press on the tile to make the door rise. At the end you receive an hourglass and 3-4 other items. Drop down right away then keep moving downward. Bolt across the coffin so the spikes don't come down and receive a lot of health. Press the tile over and move out. Beat the second zombies brains out for a crystal then crack open the chest for lots of health and press the switch. Look at a nice bookcase, except they flap their pages at you. If you accidentally step on the knife switch, jump as soon as it comes down. Swiftly move and press the tile to leave. Demolish the goblins and increase your strength with the crystals. Face the boss, whose strategy happens to be in the boss section. 7. Dungeon 2 Move right and disregard the goblins. Wait for the rotting platform to fall then run away and climb away from the ghost ax. Drop then get on the run again from an eyeball head. Slide under then down over the ground spikes. Head down for some more spikes then move into the stairway. Slaughter both goblins then another staircase. A real challenge, these guys can combo back on you. Show them the real stuff then collect their crystals. Into the stairs then drop right down and withdraw two crystals from the chest. Take a running leap onto the grooves then go down carefully. Prepare to be double-teamed by the strong guys again, attack them from a distance. Go inside the second staircase, step on the coffin and see the giant knives from the Entrance. Scoot under them then start jogging past the falling dead men, grabbing dead men and eyeball head. Stop before you hit the retracting spikes. Walk right up the stairs to face the boss; I couldn't possibly know where you could find how to beat him. 8. Mosaic 2 All these places pretty much look the same so . . . Fall down then fight the crowbar zombie for a crystal then another zombie. Jog past the fire then make a 'leap of faith'. Try not to step on the coffin as it activates the wall spikes, and then press the tile over. Scale the moved block then up past two window grabbers. Press the tile over then climb up an opened section. Inside the clawed door jump over the buzz saw coffin and grab two items. Now you have to bounce over a buzz saw, then stand on the door switch and slide under the spikes. Jog past a flamethrower and into the stairs. Move past the lethal combo of knives and a flamethrower into some more stairs. Simple, push over the fake wall and crest up to the staircase. Demolish the crowbar zombie for a crystal. Step on the switch and enter. Before you push the fake wall over, jump in front then go inside the opening. Open the second chest first if you need health. I see no way to get inside without stepping on a switch. After that's done, move up then right and break the zombie for a crystal. Slide past the spikes and knives then drop down carefully. DON'T PUSH THE FIRST TILE or you will get sliced open by a buzz saw. Leap up then press over that tile. Time it so the knives are down and the fire is off then run. Drop down then left and open the chest that's almost hidden for 4 items. Drop again then run as a flying table comes after you. Slide under both flamethrowers then do away with a zombie for a crystal and 3 items in the chest. Head inside the outlet and slide under and dispatch a zombie. Slide under again and take a purple crystal + two health, now you can do kick combos! Employ them against the two following zombies, now you've reached the max of 9. Stand on the switch and under the door to see a floating chair. Now this next zombie will give a health crystal since you have the max. You should also have 6 1/2 hearts. These next crystal-eating monsters need your attention. They leave crystals so it doesn't really matter. Take the right path for a zombie in your way then a crystal dog and another zombie. Open the chest for 3 items then step down on the switch to open the door and leave. After this level's boss is through, advance to the last level. 9. Final Stage Be aware folks, this is the last place. Fight a henchman, but try to dodge his combos. Take his crystal, and then slide under the marble. Run past the first picture and jump over the next two. Dash away from the ax if you can, then slide under then push the wall and slide under it. Evade the fake Mary statue and speed past the fat man balloon. Instead of taking the hard route, drop down until you see the fat man floating on the floor above you. Get away from the knives then jump carefully across the rotting platforms. This is the hardest part right here, make 4 running jumps on decomposing platforms above spikes before they fall. I'm currently stuck here, so this will get updated whenever I make all of them. 10. Strategies For Bosses Dungeon - Werewolf* After the pack of wolves he bursts onto the screen. Greet him with some combos. The shoulder ram works pretty well here. Don't try to execute jump kicks or he'll jump over them onto you. He will do either that and throw his curved bone at you, which take health going and coming. When a couple of crystals are diminished, he'll transform into his full werewolf form and try to pound you. Get out of the way and keep punching or kicking and he'll disappear into the ground. *Note - the boss' health meter is always to the right ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Mosaic - Twin Orangutans What they are doing here, I don't know. I do know, that they are bloodthirsty and you are the only person around. These guys can flip in the air and cannonball you. If you get too close, they swing their arms to thrash you. Try not to let them double team you on both sides, as your health will go down speedily. The roundhouse kick works beautifully, as it surprises them. They have together, six hearts to your three, three for each orangutan. Once you leave one in the ground the other is easy. Just don't rush in or you'll be slapped back the other way. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Mansion - Zombie Vampire This guy is weird, after he takes a hit; he vomits up something (blood?). His long arms can stretch and toss you around like a rag doll. He has only four hearts, compared to your 5 1/2. Sometimes when you try to hit the roundhouse kick he might dodge and toss you. He might even just throw his hands down, which hurts you also. Be careful not to let up a combo, or stand motionless by him or you'll get your neck punctured. His body decomposes when his health is gone, now his head bounces around and into you. Catch it in mid-air then three combos will finish the job. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Dungeon 2 - Phantom Right when the fog slides in, run over just barely on top of it, then when it comes up, hastily punch it then leap over the ghost heads. In between those pertinacious stretch heads that roar and knock you down, run up and shoulder ram him. Crouch or jump over the ghost heads accordingly then repeat it again. You're in for a long, stupid and unfair fight. An easy way is to slide right after the lunging head. Unfortunately, this is a ineffectual and languid attack so about 6 slides will take out half of one crystal. If you have enough life, stand over him and take the floating heads then just clobber him. Either way you choose to do it, take a break, he was pretty hard for me anyway. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Mosaic 2 - Rock Titan When this big guy lumbers on the screen, immediately be circumspect. This rock monster has five hearts and as another minus is ugly. Every time you hit one of your kick combos or ram him or roundhouse him, he falls apart then reappears on the other side. Your combos are extra powerful (if you have 9 crystals); they take off a heart so use them. Soon he'll go into a furor and throw himself down out in the shape of a giant foot (stomp), so run swiftly. Sometimes he'll just swing his arms in the middle of a combo and move forward. Try to stick and move when he does this or just take the hits and shove them back in his face. Send him back to the sediment piles.
