I would add an | 'attacks' section for some chapters (That a nice guy gave me..) | But I didn't do them, and I wouldn't want to put them in my FAQ | when they should be in his own. =) | Anyways, Chan Soon gave me a LOT of info on some | chapters. =P Apparently the lucky fellow can read Japanese, | *AND REMEMBERED* the text from memory!... | ;_; Well, I put some miscellaneous information from him at | the end/part of each chapter that it corresponds to. (o.o) | | Tenth Update: Still, I don't wanna do Oborumaru's! >< I may finish | it soon: But I have a job now... >< Ah well... I added two URLs | to pictures I captured of Cube's Passwords (As there is a tremendous | amount of e-mail, mostly from people who can't speak/interpret | english. There is no portrait at the end, | nor is there a background picture during the credits. Oh, and Bogo | did have a dungeon, if you didn't notice it in the walkthrough. | | Eighth Update. Haven't finished Oborumaru's, but, DJZ has found | important info (that genius. =P). It includes the location of | Sundown Kid's dungeon in the Epilogue, and Masaru's. Possibly Bogo | has a dungeon too? =P | | Seventh update. ADDED *HALF* of Oborumaru, because his is the most | tedious mission: There being multiple choices on which way to go, and | the castle is a virtual maze.. | | Sixth Update. Added Bogo, and thanks, Charmy, for finding the name | of the last guy, Oboromaru, the Ninja! ^^ His scenario is coming up | soon! | | Fifth Update. Added Epilogue. Discovered Oboromaru is good at level | 16 and up, with best equip. Maybe Bogo next. September 04 2000. | | Fourth Update. Added Orstedd's chapter. Bogo's is very easy to | understand, while Oboromaru's is too long. Those will probably | come later. =p September 03. | | Third Update. Go! ___(Big Robot)___, Wait for | Truth, and the battle song, Psycho __(?)___. My last | favorites are the Captain Square Battle and Ending song, | and MOST DEFINETLY the best-ending's song. =) | | Favorite Storyline? | | Me: Sci-Fi, or, Future, hands down. | | | In the Sci-Fi level, I'm stuck with cube. | | Me: If you're talking about after the girl runs off with the | spacesuit, and everyone's left that room, talk to the | guy at the space hatch, the people in the rooms north of the | room where cube is activated (enter your guy's name as a | password at the red-light panels), and then go back to the | Med-Lab... *gasp* | | If you're talking about what to do when 'it' has escaped, | run back to the hatch-room and tell the blue-hat guy. | | If you're talking about the place where Dars forces an answer | out of you, ANSWER: | ____ | ¯¯¯¯| | | | ____| |____| into the text space. (It looks more or less | | like that.) How did I find this out? Think | in this way: Blue-Hat talks to you BEFORE you are required to | enter the password, and he talks to you BEFORE you revive the | crew.. So, I checked every special text he says in the intro, | and came up with that text, which must be the word he says as | a code-word for when they're in trouble. This was by itself in | a text bubble. =D | | Uhh.. how is this fighting system set up, and how do YOU use it? | | Me: Well, I learned. Some attacks can only be used (And attack | someone) at some places, and this goes for enemies too: This | game is very strategetic. You heal after every battle, and | anyone who is attacked after they 'die', disappears. You can | heal them with a single-curative item (which you can aim | towards them, sometimes), by using a someone's curative | technique which affects others, or by using one which has a | range that encompasses the downed-character. | | Such skillful aiming takes place in battles where you're | easily beaten, being the kung-fu boss level, the Modern | chapter's boss, the Wild West's boss, and the Ninja's boss, as | all have attacks that can do a large amount of damage, | particularly the Wild West's, who can do *999* damage to one | unlucky character. | | HELP!.. This guy just pulled out a robot in this house in the Near- | Era, and I don't know what to do now! | | Me: Here is where Charmy helped me. Go to the park, talk to the hair-guy, then | stand next to him. Press "A" against the booth, and sell | drinks via the method later in the Walkthrough. Go back to | the school, give all the kids a drink, talk to the girl, and | enter and get on the toilet over and over, until you exit the | room and see a girl. Go into the rooms to your right, check the shelves | for more items, then go out into the main area by exiting | all the rooms (niche in the wall in each for a door). | | When you get out into the main area, go all the way west | into that room, and you can try to combine what you have into | better items. If you got the items in the same way I did.. | You can combine some of these items to get a REALLY Good weapon | right out. Combine the bottom two items together to get a | useless item, then combine that with an item you have 3 of, to | get a +25 weapon!.. WOW! | | If you talk to the cavemen outside, you're likely bound to | encounter the one that can use psychic powers like Akira! =P | | Enter the room with the horseshoe-ish hanging ornament over it, | get the item on the left, and approach the elder. Go out into | the main room, and exit to the northernmost exit, follow the | tunnel to the door you can exit, and then walk outside. Talk to | the elder, the hyper guy, then the elder again to learn how to | hunt. | | The trick is to press Y to sniff for scents, then to go to where | the scent originated to fight. Do this until you think you have | enought levels, enough meat, or cannot find any more animals. =P | Go back to the elder, and he'll let you in. If youw ant to fight | more, like I, you should enter the cave, then go back out and | talk to the cave guy. | | When ready, go back to your room in the caves, and sleep. | Wake up during the night, go to the upper right room in the | middle area, wake up your monkey friend, check the bone, then | exit and re-enter the room. Check the bone, then check the hay- | stack previously blocked by meat. If you can't find the person, | use Y. Go over to the pile, and use the item that has a: | _____ | | _ | In its description. Meat is a 'curative' item, so | | |_| | that's what this symbol probably helps to mean. =p | | | | | Leave the meat, (NOTE!.. I got the GIRL FIRST, so I | |_____| couldn't check the elder's personal room for stuff!) | | | exit and re-enter the room, then go over to the haystack. | Then, try to go back to your cave. | When you can control again, go up to the guy and press A.| | your attempt to move him won't work, so you runb ack into the | hallway. (Why would you need to be so secretive?.. Check the | Elder's personal room.) | You can enter your cave freely now. Go into your bed. | When you wake up, check the haystack, then exit and re-enter the | room. Give her meat. =P I gave her a lot, personally... I doubt | that it's good for her stats, maybe it gives her levels. | Anyways, you need levels yourself. So, go back up and relevel. | When you're ready, check the guard who's facing NORTH, in the path | in the cave. Then, go south, then go south again when you can, | and check one of their cars. | | .. And.. let me tell you something. That guy is wearing only | a salamander/turtle. Be *afraid* =P | | Upon exiting the town, the only current place you'll be able to | combine items is to the northwest of where you start. Make sure | to level up the girl a good amount. | | When ready, go to the way upper right, and enter the cave. Save, | then press A at the wood. Then, go up to the door, press A, go | to the monkey, press A, then go back to the door and press A. | Go all the way up, then PRESS Y IN THIS AREA. Look out for the | crocs: They're deadly, but give good EXP. Go to the upper right, | and pound the wall that gives off the scent of the Turtle guy. | | Go back to the hole, press A, then follow the path until the end. | (There is another combo-guy here.) Go into the fort, and climb | the right path to the very top edge, and you will see monkeys | come by. Go back down to the guard, go up, and go in the | WAY RIGHT CAVE. The others will cause Cavemen to pour out | of there endlessly. Go into that right cave, and check the | drawers. Talk with the monkey tons of times until he rejoins. | Then, go up the way right door, then the left door in that room, | and check the dressers. T hen, go back to the previous room, and | go all the way right. 'Climb' the cavern until the end, where the | cavemen should stop coming eventually (Really close to exit.) | Go through that exit, save, go up, and after about 5 battle | turns, good luck beating the final boss of this area! | Why?.. The girl virtually can't take any damage, the turtle | guy does barely ANY damage, so it's pretty much only you and | the monkey. My guys were at the level where you have a jump- | attack in the way lower right. | ___ |_______________________________________________________________/¯¯¯\ / ( LaL ) \ \___/ ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ ___________________________________________________________________ /¯¯¯\ ￾ Wild West -Sundown- \ ( LaL ) / |\___/¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ | ¯¯¯ | Okay, when everyone's done talking, you can defeat this guy | by using the lower-left technique a few times that is available. | There is one that isn't available: I mean the one above that. =) | | When you enter the town, west, then north into the bar that you | saw in the opening (You have to use A to enter). | | CSK: "At right beginning, goto the middle room on 2nd floor of the | pub for a naughty surprise." | | | .................................................. Go up to the | bartender (across the bar) and talk to him. When evreyone is done | talking, enter the second option, the two times you are given an | option. Dispatch the guy similar to the guy earlier: The lower | left technique. When everyone is talking and you get another | choice, choose the second again. Then, exit the bar. | | When everyone is done talking again, talk to the guy with the | black hat (I'll call him 'Black'), then talk to everyone, | including the musicians in the upper right, and talk to Black | again. When they're all done talking, Black joins you. | | The object now is to run around town and pick up the items in | crates, pots, and such, to find things to give to the people in | town, and get items to help you. You give the items to the | people, and they set up traps, so when the bad-guys come into | town, their numbers are reduced. =p I've fought all of them | the times I played this, because I didn't realize they were traps | until now. =P The bad guys arrive at 8 AM, so you have 8 hours. | | Here is an ASCII map of the houses in town, with a number of | items to find within each room. Lines in houses are to represent | different levels, a number could represent a room, or visible in | that room. A * next to a number means that Black asks you a | question. The correct answer to it I don't know, but I think that | there is no correct answer.. There | | 1| | | | || || | | are items | ¯¯¯¯ ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ ¯¯¯¯¯ ¯¯¯¯ there. | If you're fast enough, you can get all the items before three | o'clock. There is a total of about 28 items, but you only have | about 20 in your inventory. Thinking back now, maybe Black | asks you, in the first question, to combine 8 items to make a | trap. | You can equip one good item on Black's right arm which gives a | +18 to his 4th stat instead of what it was, and you can equip an | item with no-effect on either Black or you (I always choose my | character, as good equipment becomes important.) So, get back to | the pub. | | In the pub, talk to the sheriff, and pick the second option. If | you noticed, it's the same option that Black gave first when you | found the asterisk-marked items. When he's done talking after | you've chosen the second option, go to everyone else in the | tavern, and when you get an item screen, try to give them one/all | of your items. If you give them one, and they run outside, | REMEMBER THAT ITEM NAME, and give that item to anyone else who | will accept it, who should be: | The bartender, the people around the lower-left table, the two | kids, and the three musicians... So, basically anyone but the | sheriff. ^_^;; | | CSK: During the setting of traps, give the young lady a trap | to set. After she has left, go to the same room and search the | closet for another naughty surprise." | | When everyone's done (you should give the item to the Bartender | first, so he gets back quicker. He can help you pass the time | faster by picking the 3rd option, when he gives you a list.) | You should be able to give 8 items out. | | CSK: "During the setting of traps, give the young lady the item | you found in the closet for a not so nice surprise." | | When 8 o'clock arrives, you get to see the guys on horses come | into town and sometimes get through, or not make it. You have to | fight the remainder. So, when you get a choice, pick the second, | and when you get the choice after that, what I think is the best | choice is to pick the first, which will give you another option | when you get outside (The answer is the second one). | | Good luck, and do NOT stand at a diaganol angle to the boss's | lower-right square, or else he can shoot a strong shot at one of | your party members. What I found was a good idea, was to stand | right next to him, on his south or to his east. If you gave | out no traps, you can use them during the battle. | | When done, finish talking, then select the second option the | two times that you get the option, and, after, the second option | in the two choices. | | Chapter over!.. Your guy learns attacks through being attacked... Like | Final Fantasy 5's Blue-Knight. | 2. Each guy has about two different attacks, with a few | exclusions. | When you start out, you can pick one of six.. I chose them in | this order: | 1. Upper Right | 2. Lower Left | 3. Upper Middle | 4. Lower Right | 5. Upper Left | 6. Lower Middle (Hey, he reminds me of Hulk Hogan. =P Seems | American, too.. ^^) | | | Upper Right: Maybe Norweigan, as there is snow. He teaches you | a hand-breaking-ish technique, and a foot-breaking-ish technique. | I believe he teaches one more. When you have learned them all, I | beat him by healing (dark blue attacks) | | Lower Left: Unsure. He gives you a short-named attack which | takes away stats from enemies. Your counterattacks from the UR | guy should do him in. | | Upper Middle: Spooky. o_O;; Gives you, I believe, a jumping | attack. Use the LL guy's attack on him. He goes down fast, so | you should hope that he gives you what you want. | | Lower Right: He has three attacks, two which are VERY USEFUL. | He has a slapping attack, a tornado-pushing attack, and a | rock-slide attack, both of the latter which are helpful for future | battles. It's slow, although. | | Here is where it gets difficult. | | Upper Left: She has two attacks: a jumping attack, and a close- | attack. Be careful: She can kill you fast. I powered up the | rock slide at where I started, she came close to the guy, and I | think you can pull off the rockslide in time. Make sure to heal | if you need it. I can't suggest much more. | | Lower Middle (AKA: Hulk Hogan. =P): Very dangerous, three | attacks: WHOOSH! He spins around and does damage in a circle | around him, and sometimes pushes enemies away. CRUSH, he slams | his hand down, doing damage similar to the Rock Slide, which I | started at the beginning. It's relatively easy to run into the | corners and heal over and over, so you don't die. =p | | Final Guy: (Rival?): DO NOT stand to his lower right: He can | do what I call, "The Dance of Death" and do heavy damage. Stay | away at times, and go in for attacks. Good luck: he's not too | hard, though, if you're playing on an EMU, as you can use save- | states to see what he could do. | ___ |_______________________________________________________________/¯¯¯\ / ( LaL ) \ \___/ ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ ___________________________________________________________________ /¯¯¯\ ￾ Future -Cube- \ ( LaL ) / |\___/¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ | ¯¯¯ | You are woken up, after all the text. Feel free to | run off and heal, they barely move. | | Uranus: Eep.. Difficult. I got up near the middle, below it, and | used the fire-ball attack (it attacks in an about 5X5 | square around Cappie), then I used the lower-left to | whittle away the middle. When the frog comes out, move | away a bit, then use the fire attack. One damage from the | ground, from the fire-attack, will kill it. | | Neptune: Stars. Run over to the single-first-selected star, and | use the fire-bomb. If it contacts, it will kill all in | its range. | | Pluto: (Final! Yay!) Stay away and use the lower-left. Enjoy the | Ending. =p | | ------------------------------------------------------ | Back to the game! | ------------------------------------------------------ | | Go up to Blue Hat, in the upper left, stand to his left, face | the machine, and press A, choose the first option. Hair will take | it, and everyone sits down again. Talk to Dars, and when they're | done talking, go all the way north (Exiting the room), enter the | elevator, select the top selection (3rd floor), exit the ele, then | go to the room to your left, and talk to Girl. When Blue Hat and | Hair arrive, talk to Girl, Buzz, Blue Hat, Hair, then Buzz, then | Girl. | | Go back to the Ele, down to the bottom floor, go left, talk to | Buzz and Hair, wait for them to finish talking, Then you can: | | 1. Cause your death by opening both airlocks from where Hair | stood (Bad.) | 2. Go back to the 3rd floor-Cockpit, and talk to Hair. | 3. Go south of the ele, and enter the room with the skull on it. | See the super-monster. | | When they're done, go to the ele, second floor, and go back to | where you opened the tubes, BUT, enter the room south of that. | | Talk to everyone after #2, then go to the cockpit, talk to all, | (NOTICE 'W·A·T·A·N·A·B' for the Near Future. =P) then | go get a drink, and give it to hair. | Then, go back to the rooms north of where you were activated. | | http://www.eccentrix.com/personal/sorethumb/doorpass.jpg | | Enter your name at the panels (right first), and enter, talk to | Girl, then enter the left room, talk to the guys, go to 1st floor | via elevator from the north, enter the left room, talk to Hair, | go back to the room south of the tube-room, then go talk to Hair | OR Blue Hat/Dars again. Go back to the room south of the tubies. | | When done talking, go back to the room left of the 1st floor | ele. Talk to all, then exit the room, go south, and SAVE before | you touch ANYTHING. Then, enter the room with the little skull on | it. | | Save, then exit the room, run left, then RUN, into the airlock | room, and tell Blue Hat. After they're done (eep), talk to all, | then get a drink for Dars, Hair, Blue Hat, and Girl. Then, give | a drink to Blue Hat. Exit the room, go down and left, and down, | and meet up with all. Then, go to the tubey room, talk to | anything you think you can talk to. Then, being VERY CAUTIOUS.. | | Walk south, to exit the room. Walk down the hallway, SAVE | before you enter the room, enter it, and run into the room where | you were named. Check the main panel. "O A K F D E". Then, save, | exit the room, run north, run into the tubey room from the south. | Enter the room to the south, talk to everyone, check the panel, | then exit the room, and check the panel, enter name, and go into | the next room. Check that panel, exit the room, Save, then run | down the hallway and go into the room (enter name at panel). The | beeping will stop. Check the panel, then run back north to the | group, and save before you chat. | | Run north, then use the item that you have 10 of on the door. | | Then go to the elevator above you, go up to the third floor, | exit the elevator, run south, and when you enter the SECOND | HALLWAY.. Dash south or else you'll be too slow and have to use | one of those limited-items. Skip the elevator, go more south, | enter the room, check the bot that looks like you, go north, and | (if I guess right), re-enter the room. Check the panel. | | Go down to the second floor, using the closest elevator, and | enter the room where you were activated. Then, talk with | everyone, and when you have the text field, enter (Get it wrong | and die): | | Chan: "Cube's creator asked for the first name (Koro) he gave | you, to prove your identity. When naming, he felt 'Koro' sounded | too much like a dog and used a contradicting name 'Cube' instead." | | http://www.eccentrix.com/personal/sorethumb/darspass.jpg | ______ | | |¯¯¯¯¯| As the password. When everyone's done | | | | talking. Check the panel, talk to Dars, go | ______| | | north, and enter the little up-pointing arrow | | ¯¯¯¯¯ to the right of the elevator, after using the | key-ish item on it.. Go down to the second floor (Down two | levels from the entry point of the shaft), then enter the | tubey-room from the north. ! When it's done talking, recheck | the panel, then, exit the room to the north, go north, southwest, | enter the meeting room from the top, exit it to the south, go | down the hallway, and re-enter the room where you were activated, | and talk to Blue-Hat. SAVE! Exit the room dashing, in the | direction to the shaft via the route I said a few seconds ago, | and go back to Dars. (Use the key at the end of the first | hallway.) | | About this time, I went to the bottom floor of the shaft, and | went all the way south in it. I reached one point and heard a | sound, Cube stopping. *Shrug* | | When he's done talking, go north to the shaft and use the newly | obtained item at it. Then, go down to the 2nd floor, exit, and | go, via the east path (going through the tubey room), to the room | where you were named. Talk to Dars. Going left upon exiting the | room spots you a glimpse of where to not go. So, go down south, | west, north, north, enter the meeting room (if you have to talk | to Dars again, do so with the item,) save your game, and play | Captain Square. Use the Walkie Talkie item at the machine. | | And, when you're done, give Dars a drink, and game over! ^_^ | Wasn't that fun? ^_~ | | CSK: "You can find a summary of Cube's relation with/impression of | the crew members, if you talk to mother computer on the 3rd | floor after defeating the last boss. I don't know what effect | it has on the game..." | | I hope I didn't reveal anything on that one. =D | | My favorite quote has to be from Buzz.. which was the only thing | I understood. "N·I·C·E T·O M·E·E·T Y·O·U (name)" | | ___ |_______________________________________________________________/¯¯¯\ / ( LaL ) \ \___/ ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ ___________________________________________________________________ /¯¯¯\ ￾ Kung-Fu -Shinzan- \ ( LaL ) / |\___/¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ | ¯¯¯ | When everything is done, and you have control over the guy, | go to the upper left of the room to get two items out of the | cabinets, and go into the room above to get items out of the | pots and the two cabinets, which makes a total of 8 items! =P | | Exit the house, pick the two plants near your house, and go | west of your house to pick up another, then go down all the | stairs, until the path splits into three ways. | There, you have to find three people, I suggest this order: | | 1. The Girl. You can find her by going down the stairs upon | this new area, and go west, skimming the cliff, into the jungle | west. There are tigers, also known as, "Easy ways to get EXP." =p | To defeat most enemies in this chapter, I suggest the lower-left | or the lower-right available technique. It's a jump attack that | does good damage. Pick all the short plants throughout the jungle | until the very end, and by there, you should be able to recruit | the girl in one way: pick the second option, and when done, go to | the end of the jungle to collect every plant. Don't exit the | level to the north. Fight the tigers in the jungle if you care | about her level. | | 2. The Kid. Exit the Jungle the way you came in, go south into | the city. Give all the hunched-over-people the item that you | should have 5 of by now, and they revive. =P By the time you | get to the third lady, the Kid should bump by you and the Girl. | Continue giving the item out to everyone. Give the last lady | the item you should have 3 of, that has a short name. Equip the | old man with the stuff you got from the (Old?) people, then talk | to the guy blocking passage south. When you get a chance, talk | to the guy blocking south again, pick the second option, then | go south. When you're done, pick the second option, then the | first option. Level the two up if you so desire. | | 3. The Fat Guy. Exit the town, go up the stairs, then go east, | down the stairs, then up to another town. Talk to everyone you | can before proceeding north. When everything's done after going | north, you can choose one of the two options, the second option | out of the first choice will have you two fight and he will join, | first, then second on the second choice can lead to you not | fighting, and him joining. | | Now, you can go back to your house and continue with the story, | or level up in the jungle. If you know which of these characters | you think is the coolest, then go to the house. If not, go to | the jungle, and level up for awhile. | | I went with the little kid, but I think the fat one is good too. | The girl starts out with a strong attack, the chubby guy has a lot | of HP and strength, and I'm unsure as to why to pick the little | kid. He trains during the night, so possibly him? Maybe it gives | a stat bonus or such.. *shrug* | | Well, when you go back to the house, use all your attacks, every | time, when you fight your favorite character. That way, the | person learns the attack faster. You can tell how many fights | you have left in a day, by the number your guy says after he beats | one of the trainees. I'd say your lower-right technique is very | strong. | | After some time, there will be a problem in the fat kid's town, | (You can tell by the guy who chased him: He comes into the house). | Go there, fight, go back to your house, check everyone, then when | done, go to the jungle, go north into the palace, and kick | everyone's butt. If you picked the girl, she joins you in the | Jungle, regardless of which option you choose (I suggest #1). If | you pick the little kid, I think he takes out some of the first | guards, if you pick that fat guy, however.. | | The way you open the door differs too. I noticed that with the | fat guy, someone's electrocuted, runs through the door, opening | it for you. There is no such person with the girl. | | When you enter the palace finally, check the three pots at the | left for items, not to mention every cabinet and pot on the way, | of which there are 9 of. When you arrive at the Ninja Meeting | Room, the fat guy will come in. | | When you get to the final meeting room soon after the Fat Guy's | entry, you have to fight small groups of guys who are kind'a hard. | I found that I had an easier time with the Kid than with the Fat | Guy.. | | When you get to the final boss, you get one shot at a technique | that you'll get in the future that will KICK BUTT. This one does | about 200+ damage to the boss. For attacks, I suggest getting | below him and using the attack that simulates the one done by | the sensei: the lower-right attack. It's difficult to beat this | boss, and I'm no fibber. My best suggestion is to know when to | run, because he can do a lot of damage really fast. This is | tough for the little guy. The girl has a WICKED easy time with | her kick!.. That's who I suggest. She may be weak, but she has | a strong attack. I'm unsure, though, if she's useful later. | So, don't forget to consider the other two, especially the Kid, | who probably gets some bonus I don't notice. | | Like this chapter? | ___ |_______________________________________________________________/¯¯¯\ / ( LaL ) \ \___/ ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ ___________________________________________________________________ /¯¯¯\ ￾ Ninja -Oboromaru- \ ( LaL ) / |\___/¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ | ¯¯¯ | During the mission, Oboro keeps a record of the number of guards | you've killed. =P (Like any good Ninja movie should. :) | | CSK: "Did anyone out there manage to get 100 kills? The | highest I had is 97. I have missed out a ninja running around a | rope ladder landing on ground floor of main castle. He only | appears if I enter the room from the side with treasure chests. | Another one is a chambermaid peeping at someone changing. | Talking to her won't initiate a fight and she will run off | after spotting me. One more is the chambermaid who will run | around a treasure chest and lock herself inside after I remove | the content. | Monsters and ghosts are not counted as a kill. And the | gigantic fish(Koi) can be defeated if you gain enough level (one | way is to fight traps). It will drop a magic power increasing | accessory." | | CSK: "[Primarily], you can become a renagade ninja by exiting the | castle through main gate, anytime before saving the prisoner and | answer yes to all 3 questions (Do you want to abandon the mission? | Do you want to become a renagate ninja? And be hunted for rest of | your life?). You will fight you former clan's ninja. After ? | encounters you will fight your teacher/master. Upon defeat, your | master will pull a kamikaze attack using a bomb, killing both of | you. A sad ending but hard to attain. You must be level 13+ and very | well equiped, and you master is MUCH stronger than the last boss!" | | This misisno is relatively simple: Run around and kill. There | are minimal puzzles in the building tops, but that's about it.. | So, i'm going to say this: Kill all the guards you can, not | robot-traps... and I'll say where all the important items. | | Enter, clear out the first building, and exit on the upper left. | clear out the path to the next building (Guy hidden under the | roof to the left of building #2). The password was the second | for me, but I guess you should kill all guards. | | You also hear a gong so often. I have *NO CLUE* what it desig- | nates. | | CSK: "The password will change after each sounding of the | bell." ... Me: "Thanks! ^^" | | ..... Okay, building two. (Remember, kill -all- the people | unless I say 'no'.) Go to the way right room, check the secret | room, enter the right password, then go up the ladder. CHECK | EVERY PEEPHOLE. Get all the items, go to the other ladder, go | down, go back up for the item, then go back down. Exit this room, | go right and down back to the original entrance, go up then exit | and go to the room to its left, go up, up, and take a right in | this new hallway, then go down, take the items, exit, then go down | the hallway on the very way left, then go to the door guarded, | kill him... I have NO CLUE WHAT THE HECK they're doin in there, | but the second option allows you to kill them both... Then, go up | and out the way-north exit (That you passed by a few moments ago) | and you should, upon killing the first guard you find on the left, | have a 32 body-count. Killing the top two (second option) gets | you a 34.. So, then, go back to the second ladder you encountered | then go down/left, down, right, up, and exit the hallway to the | left (You'll see a little niche in the wall.) Upon exiting, go | down, right, up, and into the little guard-tower-room... BUT! | Be careful: There's a trap door in the middle, making you have to | to restart! O_O;; .. So, be careful, then exit on the other side. | There, go up across the wall to the new area. Get the items, | exit to the north, and you enter into the gear puzzle. | | Go to the left, hit the first switch you see, then continue on | the path, dodging gears, until you get to the dead end, and hop | onto the right gear. (Can you say FF8's Sewers? ;) Then, go all | the way right, across the way-right conveyer belt, go up, and | take the first right-conveyer-belt. Get there, and hit the | switch. Then go onto the nearby conveyer belt to the north, then | go to where you originally got off your first gear. Go onto the | gears to your right, then go down another set of gears to the | south, and hit the switch. Then, get off the conveyer belt to the | left, go STRAIGHT UP, until you hit the dual-gears. Go up the | right column of them. Get the item then the switch, and go down | the left column of gears. | | Then, go to the right, across the first conveyer belt, then go | down onto the gear, then go way right and hit the switch. Then, | go up the gears to the left of the switch, then go up the gears | to the north (left side). You can: | Suggested: 1. Get the item to its right, and loop back around to | the ladder. | 2. Go down the ladder. | When you go down the ladder, follow the path up the stairs, then | you have choices here. I'll list them in a future update. <=) | Sorry. I have a lot to do. =| | | Suggestion: Don't kill people who are | on mats by themselves: Let them be. If you meet or "Save" a girl on a | mat, don't answer the second option to her, and keep talking to her | until you get a second choice... PIck the second option again. | | Also, you may come to a room where you're trapped. Check the door | that you came through again and again until you get a choice, and | when so, defeat him. | | That's TWO of the badguys in the intro: I never found #3. (I'll | cover it next time. =) | | CSK: "In the room of the trap master after defeating him(her?), | a slot can be found on the wall. After inserting 3 coins (found | in chests or battle prizes), trap mechanism starts working. | Exiting through bottom door you will find a doll(robot) in the | next room. I was showed that using certain item on it will activate | it. The robot will fight you. If you win, it will follow you as a | replica of Oboro-maru. It is weak, will break if dropped from great | height, go berserk insight of mice and is unrepairable after | breakdown. | Can someone tell me where to get this activation item?" | | ___ |_______________________________________________________________/¯¯¯\ / ( LaL ) \ \___/ ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ ___________________________________________________________________ /¯¯¯\ ￾ Near Future -Akira- \ ( LaL ) / |\___/¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ | ¯¯¯ | Go to the end for my tips on the battles on the normal overworld. | | This is truly one of the chapters that gets everyone gunked up. | | You can pick one of two choices at the beginning. I pick the | first. When you go into a talk-loop, press Y on the text that | begins with |¯Y. You can tell later by using it, that it's his | ability to read minds. | | When you wake up, you can talk and/or read people's minds. I | found no real use for it now, so leave the park. When you can | move, turn left, and press Y. When you fight, I find using his | lower-left-not-blue-available ability is helpful for this battle. | For the other guy, I guess any attack will do. It's hard to | lose. I'll nickname him "Karn", because his hair looks like the | character from the online comic, "Adventurers". | | When done, walk over to the motorcycle, and press Y. You get | a free ride home, and get a little bit of info about the future | story! In the house, enter it all the way. When done talking, go | up, and to the left-most room on the bottom wall. Enter, talk to | the two people, exit the room, then walk all the way to the right, | and go south into the kitchen, go to the table, and talk to | everyone. Go into the room the kid went into (The room to the | right of the room with the old guy and girl), talk to him, then | go back to the kitchen, and check the TV from the south. When | they're all done, talk to them all, and go back into the sick | girl's room, and talk to her. Then read her mind. Then, check all | the rooms with things that have water. IE: The sink in the | kitchen, the bathtub (Check the bars of soap next to it too) in | the bathroom, and the toilet in the room next to the bathtub. | That is so if you 'run away', you may teleport back to the | school, which can be very helpful. =) | | Here, you can fight battles to level up to the current max of 13, | (my suggestion: always go for the zombie in back when possible: if | you kill him, you kill them all, via "BREAK DOWN".), or you can go | over to the scientist's laboratory. I suggest the lab, as you | can level up later. | It's a house with a big sign above it, in red, and it has a lot | of pots inside. Inside, go to the door on the first floor, talk | to it, then use your psychic powers (Y) on it. Go downstairs, | talk to the Scientist again, and get on the machine. When done, | talk to him, then go back to the school and talk to the girl. | When done, go to the X in this map, and press A. (It's the lower | left corner of the room's left wall) | Here is where Charmy helped me. Thanks Charms. =P | ____ | | RG | R == Bronze *R*obot Yakan x marks the spot. =P | | g | G == Scientist *G*uy | x___b| g == *g*irl b == *b*ed | | Talk to the scientist, then read his mind, then talk to the | robot, then read its mind. Now, I would suggest to go to the | park. There, talk to Karn, and stand to his left, and face the | booth, then press A. This is a little selling/buying-curative | items game. I would guess that you take the money, give it to | Karn, and he gives you an item. I suggest this: | | Kid: 300 or 100 Businessman: 10000 | Girl: 1000 Old Guy: 10000 | | Although, if you want to do it the way you want to, you can do it | CORRECTLY This way: | | Kid: 100 or 300 Businessman: 1000 or 10000 | Girl: 300 or 1000 Old Guy: 100 or 10000 | | You only need one of each healing item for the future, but | they're useful to have, because they heal and are buyable. | I suggest to arrange them: When you get a 300, put it in a | location in your inventory: If you get a 10000 after that, put it | below the slot that is below the 300. 100 above the 300, and | 1000 below the 300, because I'm going to refer to them as "100" | and such in the future. | | Go back to the school, and to the first room on the top wall, | to the right of the Sick Girl's room. Give the kids in the beds | these # items to get an item back that you can use on Yakan or | equip! | | Upper Left: 10000 Upper Right: 100 | Lower Left: 300 | | Go outside, then give the kid by the sandbox a 1000. Then go to | the upper-right-most room in the school, talk to the girl, then go | into the bathroom and use the toilet over and over until you are | made to leave the room. Then, go back to the scientist's lab. Go | down all the stairs (including the new one), go up to the | scientist, say 'yes', exit the lab, then before you go back to the | school, you should hope your levels are kind'a good. | | Re-enter the school, and go past the desks, then when you hear | something, run outside again. Talk to the girl, then read her | mind. At the docks, explore until you see something. Follow | where it went until you go into the next area. My first sighting | was when I entered the docks, went all the way left, then down. | My sequence went like: What I said, sighting upon going to the | south exit, sighting after going way north from that, sighting | after going all the way east, then all the way south. Another | sighting by going into the middle row by going up, then west past | the two houses, then by going up where the sighting went, east, | south, and south into the next area. There, talk to the guy, | and/or try to go past him, then when done, read the mind of one | of the guys, and talk to Karn, and read his mind. | | Go back to the school, and read the sick girl's mind. Level up | until you find yourself at level 13, or a satisfactory level, then | go into the big building to the way east. Answer the second | option, fight, then blare through the entire building, killing | all the guards, talking to the computer people (I'll walk you | through, this's just an overview), & opening lockers for items. | | Kill the guards in the main area, then go up. Upon entering, | kill the guard ot your left and go up the escalator. Talk to | the guys to your left, and enter the bottom door (The top door | has a toilet which you can use to get guards to fight. You get | three EXP per battle at level 13.) I went in there until I got | up to level 14 (no new attacks). | | In the bottom room, check the two lockers, then exit. Go back | down the escalator, kill the guard, then enter the room. Go | into the first room you come across, then check the lockers, then | go out the second exit, kill the guard, and go up the escalator. | Kill the guy, then go down again, across the sky-walk (as I call | it ^_^.) Enter the room, kill the two guards, go down a room, | kill those two guards, go back into the first room, go down the | right escalators, go into the door to the right, sit on the | toilet, and get Karn!.. YAY! Then, go into the door that's a | niche in the wall. Kill the guard, go over to the guarded door, | kill that guard, and enter. Open the two lockers for items, go | up the next door, get those locker items, and exit back into the | hallway, and go east up the door. Get the four items, exit that | room, exit THAT room (into the room with escalators), and go up | the bottom escalator. | | Back in the room, go up the middle room, and go down the left | escalator. Kill the guard, and enter. | | Kill the guys in there, skip the *empty* lockers, and go into the | door-wall-niche. Enter, kill the guards, and SKIP THE FIRST DOOR | on the right: The girl can call a lot of guards. Go over to the | door WITH a guard, kill him, and enter the room. | | Check the first computer. =P 'W·A·T·A·N·A·B·E".. Nearly same | thing in the Sci-Fi.. =P | | Enter the next room, go past the tubes to the guy, and read his | mind to get the ID (F49F). Go back to the double-door in the | previous hallway, select F·4·9·F, enter, and when done, you'll | fight the virtual boss of this level. *Points at Virtual* | BUT NOTE! ONLY AKIRA HAS AN OTHER-PERSON-HEALING ABILITY, and you | have no other-person-healing items, nor 'area-healing' items! | If you get lucky, it may self-destruct! =) | | When everyone's done, EQUIP YOURSELF WITH THE BEST EQUIPMENT | POSSIBLE: You have a short time to, and if you forget, these items | will be lost! | | Go to the Scientist's lab, talk to him, read his mind, then go | to the pub. Talk to Karn and read his mind, then go back to the | school. | | Talk to the old guy, enter, go to the upper left and talk to the | girl, enter EVERY ROOM IN THE HOUSE: Bathroom and Toilet rooms | too. | | Go into the room that was previously blocked, find the Sick girl | (between the two top beds), save your game, then read her mind. | | Talk to everyone, then read their minds, starting up, right, then | down. | | Then you get control again!.. Go north, up the road left of the | school, and defeat all battles between the temple and the school. | No need to worry as there is a high HP in battle. | | They consist of: 3 Planes, 4 Tanks, 5 Planes, tons of tanks, and | one battleship. I dispatched them all with the sonic-wave-ish | attack, except for the Battleship, which I did a hopping attack. | There are no further battles after these. | | Good luck!.. I used the stomping attack again. Very effective. | If your feet get disabled, use the attack left of the stomper. | | I hope you enjoy the ending... And no, it wasn't a dream. | +=====----------------------------------------------------------===== | | Battle Tactics | | 4,5 First & second set: Run around the three cars, and bonk the | zombie on the head with a weak attack on the first row. =P | | 06 Third: Use the 2nd attack on the left column to go through | the rows of cars, then run over and bonk the zombie. =P | | 7,8 Fourth, fifth: Run left then up, and bonk the Zombie. =P | | 09 Sixth: Run right, then up, and bonk the upper-right car. When | you can, get to the zombie and bonk him. (Beware the bulldozer!) | | 10 Seventh: Kill the left spinny-bot, then bonk the zombie. | | 11 Eight: Use the attack above the lower-left attack to break | through the brick walls with Akira, then use the robot Yakan to | bonk the Zombie. | | 12 Ninth: This is DIFFICULT. The big robots may kill you before | you can attack. I SUGGEST TO MOVE YAKAN'S POSITION on your team | to the bottom, so he won't get in the way of your fighting! If | the first badguy moves up.. You're REALLY in trouble. My sugges- | tion is to move to the top-level of the way-right guy (so he | doesn't need to move up), bonk him, then run over to the zombie | on your next turn. | | 13+ Tenth: (Level 13 and up) Move Akira left ONE, then use his | newest attack to kill the cars, and do a lot of damage to the | walls. Move Yakan over to attack one of the walls. If you can | kill a wall before Akira pulls off the second spinny-circle | thing, you're lucky, so you can run up and bonk the zombie. | ___ |_______________________________________________________________/¯¯¯\ / ( LaL ) \ \___/ ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ ___________________________________________________________________ /¯¯¯\ ￾ Medieval -Orstedd- \ ( LaL ) / |\___/¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ | ¯¯¯ | This game begins in a fight. I suggest using the right-attack, | the one with V in its name. When done, beat the other guy, and | then you win. When all this text and another battle is done, and | THAT text is done, you get free run of nearly all of the castle. | That means to: take every sword and shield from the walls, check | every suit of armor, and check every pot, because they ALL have | items. IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO GET THESE AND SAVE THEM FOR LATER, | go ahead: I don't believe that they stay there if you don't take | them now. | | The left room and right rooms of the throne room have items, | near the whole exit of the castle, you can go to the right room | and pick up TONS Of treasure. You can also get treasure by | talking to the townspeople by the exit of the town. They are: | (Tilted sideways) T == Talker. I see no beneficial | | things gained from | |o X X X X o T o o |___ talking to her. | Castle exit: -_-;;;; | : ___ | |o o o X o o o o o | X: Gives item! ^^ | After exiting the town and entering the forest, I suggest to do | things in this order: Walk south until the road forks into the | west and east road. Take the west branch, and talk to all the | people, and pick up items in those yellow-berry-ish plants. | | Then, go back to the fork, go back north, pass by the green tree | to take a shortcut through the woods, go up into the mountain, and | climb until you find a house to the west. Go to the guy outside | it, talk to him, go inside, talk to him again, check the | shield on his wall, then exit the house, climb up the mountain to | a grave, check it, then go ALL THE WAY down, and back into the | small village. If you did it right, the old guy shouldn't be | there. Enter his house, talk to him, check his shield, take it, | then, go BACK up the mountain to the guy's house, talk to him, | try to leave, and take his stuff. Go up to the grave, check it, | Go back down the mountain, and go back to the fork. Take the | right fork. | | You'll see a green tree to the south: Go to it, and check the nuts | above it, and to the left of it. You can get items that way! | Go back to the trail, go east, and where the green trees end, | go down, and look for a path in the woods to get to that empty | space you see. There are a lot of item-nuts there. | Also, east of those trees, into the trees to the right (not down | the hill into the little tree-maze, you can find more nut-items. | Go up to the mountain (equip the strongest weapon for the new | level-ten knight guy), check it, the guy will chop the door open, | and enter. There are items in piles of bones. There is one | pile in the way right cavern, the go-up-from-where-you-start | cavern, and where the left path branches, there is one in the | right cavern. Go to the left one to continue on. | | In the next room, continue until the path branches into three, | and take the middle cavern. Enter the caverns on that path | to get an item each, and w hen you get into the shrinish-area, | all the rooms in there (EXCLUDING the LOWER LEFT and the UPPER | MIDDLE) rooms have treasure in them. The upper left room leads | into the final areas: Take the left path for treasure, then take | the right path to the statues. SAVE HERE. Run around in the | previous room to gain EXP: and a LOT of it. When ready, equip | Orstedd with the best equipment possible: And the strong knight | with whatever isn't best for the others. Then fight the boss. | HE IS VERY VERY VERY VERY DIFFICULT: He has a strong attack that | is a vertical one: big damage. I suggest getting the knight and a | STRONG ORSTEDD next to the boss, and the healer guy ready to heal | them both. Use the knight's spinny attack, and Orstedd's best. | When done, unequip your friend, and then exit the room. | | Go back to the castle, talk to the king, unequip your friend, and | get into the beds in the left room. By the way.. YOU DO NOT DIE. | when you wake up, go into the middle room and talk to.. er... that | thing that gives me nightmares. When you win, exit the castle, | go to the fork-in-the-road's small town, go in the first house, | if you want (And this doesn't work), check the grave in the | mountain for a flashback, then go to the castle again, and when | done, go to the throne room, talk to the challencor, then go | all the way back to the mountain with Orstedd. You defeat small | bosses at the important doors, and when you reach the room that | had all the boss-statues, go ahead into the next room. Check the | statue, then follow the path to the end, and if possible, check | the statue. | When you beat THAT boss, the level's over!.. er.. YAY!.. uhh.. | | .. No.. no yay. (o_O) This is a surprisingly short chap. | ___ |_______________________________________________________________/¯¯¯\ / ( LaL ) \ \___/ ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ _______________________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________________ /¯¯¯\ ￾ Epilogue -Endgame- \ ( LaL ) / |\___/¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ | ¯¯¯ | This chapter is short, but difficult. For a team, I suggest: | | Cube: (Main. Shame he gains no levels.) Has his own level for | er.. robot do-hickey. =P Puzzles. =_= | | | Kung-Fu Hero (Girl, Kit, or Fatguy) : Gets hir own level for | nunchucku. | | Sundown OR Akira: Because Sundown does an attack with 999 damage | later. Akira has a healing power and starts out at a high lev. | | Oboromaru: Because his strongest attack attacks in a 3X3 area. | | Where to find everyone: | This takes place in the Medieval world, so, look for them in | the places that I describe in the previous Walkthrough. | | Bogo: The small field of plants near the green-tree forest, that | had items and such in it. --Fight to join. | | Sundown Kid: At the cabin of the 4th-Joining-Hero in the Medieval | quest. He goes from there, to the cliff with trees in the area | below. There, to the sign near to the castle. Then, in the| | castle, I believe's treasure room. Then, IIRC, the left room | where you slept, by the throne room, then at the table in the | right room, then he joins you when you exit the town. --No fight | to join. | | Masaru: Jail in the castle. --No fight to join. | | Cube: Where you see the princess being taken away. (Top of | castle, balcony.) UPDATE: You CAN get him to join!.. DJZ says, | "On the snowy cliffs, I found a shiny item to the right on one of | the layers. (Think seasame seed...) I talked to Cube, the Item | screen came up...AND HE'S IN MY PARTY!" THANK YOU, DJZ! =D --No | fight to join. | | (Girl, Kid, FatGuy): Near grave on mountain. (CHECK GRAVE TO | CONTINUE WITH THE STORY, by entering the mountain... but don't | enter the mountain yet. =P) --No fight to join for Kid. --Fight | to join for Girl --FatGuy (unknown) | | Oboromaru: Check the sign in front of the level before the mountain | caves/etc. --Fight to join. | | Akira: In the grass outside of the bald-guy's house. --OPTION | ONE: FIGHT. Option Two: NO FIGHT. Option 1 after NO FIGHT: | --No fight to join. Option 2 after NO FIGHT: "No thanks" | +-------============================================================= | | IF YOU PICKED Orstedd as your character: | Go down from the castle into the statue room. Check each statue, | one by one, and defeat the hero. You discover how easy it was to | lose. =P When you beat them all.. "SAD END." This is not the | best way to win. | +-------============================================================= | | IF YOU WERE SMART and picked a guy who DID NOT FIGHT his friend, | you should be in the locations I described above. Go to each of | the locations to find the hero, and then when you have joined | those you want, and met the others, here is a list of the dungeons | of the people that I found. Not to mention the items in the nuts | and in the woods are back. | | During this scenario, you can find items with a cube in its | description. This refers to the character cube, and will give a | HP UP bonus to him!. ^_^ | |-- Cube's dungeon: It's in the houses near Akira. On the | red-tiled-floors, the controls are reversed or rotated, so you | have to get to the door on the other side of the rooms. You can | check squares to talk to Cubes. | The first puzzle: Mirrors.. *Shudder* | · Mirror 1: Follow the mirror-reflected actions. If Cube faces | you, go up, if he's facing away, go down, and the left and rights | are the same. When it disappears, go up to the balls north, and | press A. They should disappear and the party go up. | · Mirror 2: I think the thing to do is to follow one of the | reflections, if not both. I think the left reflection's the | correct one. I think: Right, up, up, left, up up.. Dunno. | · Mirror 3: Follow the reflection that is NOT THERE. Right, Right, | up, left, up, up, right, right, right, up.. That should do it. | | · Puzzle Two: The Arrows. Go up to the guy on the chair, talk to | him, then follow the arrow. When the arrow points to a room, | AFTER talking, go there. Should be: Up, talk, Up, Talk, Up, talk, | down, Talk, up, talk, up, exit. | | · Puzzle Three: The Orbs. Talk to the guy in the middle, then pick | the: Lower left orb, in the room you go into, the lower right, | in the room you go into, the upper right, in the room you go into, | the upper left, then pick that orb in that room, and you're done. | IF THAT DOES NOT WORK.. Then, try this way (after talking to the | cube again). Upper right (in the middle room), lower right, lower | left, upper left, the special orb.. and it should work. | | Go up the stairs in the next room, get the item, and you are | teleported out. | | If you re-enter this dungeon, you will find a boss on the special | red-tiled floor, and I believe you get an item which is one less | than the best-helmet, and great in the area of the last-stat. | | FYI, my Cube ended up with 320 HP due to the items I used on 'm. | |-- Akira's Dungeon: You are TELEPORTED HERE IF YOU RUN AWAY, | similar to being teleported to the school if you run away in his | scenario. When here, check the flames and read their minds, not | to mention pick up the items strewn about. When you get to the | end and pick up the glove, read the princess' mind to get out. | |-- Kung-Fu Hero's Dungeon: On the mountain, remember the stone you | couldn't get past before?. It's breakable by a Kung-Fu attack. | Certain rocks in this cave are breakable at the time you enter, | and sometimes, not. You have to change the attack you're using.. | And, be careful in which rooms you enter: a room you enter after | breaking a rock, or which leads to a lower level, will have a | chubby fat guy who's in love with your main character... AAAUGH! | He regens every time you enter the room.. So, get to the bottom | floor, find the one room that is rock-blocked, SAVE, then enter. | | I think it was the first option that got him to fight you, as the | crazy love-guy is in there, too. You fight a final battle against | him.. and I am currently unsure of this idea: | Since the Cube Dungeon gets a boss in the end, maybe this dungeon | has this love-fat-guy that, if you let go, will be a boss later? | | Dunno. I don't think so. | |-- Oboromaru's Dungeon: Tricky, Semi-annoying. You have to kill Ninjas | to get an item which will open the locked doors. You get them, | open doors, and continue on to find all these items. | | During the dungeon, I noticed I stopped getting Keys, and I | also noticed a guy telling me, from above, the number of runs I | probably had left (As he said it after battle.) I think you have | different items for each person (try pressing X during the item | screen). | | And, as a suggestion.. DO NOT LET THE COUNTER REACH ONE. IF IT | REACHES 0, you fight a WICKED STRONG Saber-toothed tiger! Don't | fight it until you get the Katana at the end. | | There is a special key for each of the big doors when you get to | them, and you get a good Katana for it all.. You get a good | body armor after defeating the tiger. A difficult task, but, | Cube is NOT affected by its status ailments, so you don't have to | worry for him, excluding for heavy damage. | |-- Sundown Kid's quest (Thanks DJZ, for bringing this to my atten- | tion!): Near the tree-maze in the lower-right of the main-map, | you can follow SK's horse through it, until the end, which has | a timed dungeon. The longer you are in it, the closer you get | to fighting a group of FOUR TOUGH baddies (They look like the | haunter-ish badguys from Captain Square). You fight them when | the lights go totally out. I'd say, just race through the paths | until you get to the (44 Magnum?) Gun. Then, you can be at least | SOMEWHAT comfortable when you fight those super badguys.. | |-- Masaru (Thanks again DJZ for telling me he had one, too! ^^) | If you go to the east of the snow-mountain entrance, up on the | ledge, you can fight a boss who will allow you access into the | second part of the levels. Strangely, I couldn't open any of | the chests so I just went straight up to the glove.. It *rules* | on him. When I exited, there were monsters that were similar to | the ones that you fight outside.. And strangely enough, if the | only boss was the one guarding the area, he was pathetic. | |-- Bogo: Go to the upper-right of the first snow-mountain area ( | north of where you find the Sundown Kid the second time), and | sniff for food. If you follow the scent, you will find the | 'meat' sign, depicting the idea that there is something there. | Break it open, get all the items, and if you pass them, | check the. .*eep*.. Frozen People. When you get the bone, you | should eventually come to a lake. There, you can fight the | fish boss by going all the way north, giving it the following | item, then pressing YES twice. The item has these as the first | three characters: _ | _____|___|_____ / \ __ /___.-- | _____|___|_____ /___\ /___ | ____|_____ / | \ // \ | |____|_____| \¯|¯/ // | | |____|_____| __\|/__ ____/ | / \ | When you give it the item, and beat it (beware, it usually | beats up on the guy to its immediate diagonal.. IE: If you | picture the badguys as big squares, draw a line away from | each vertex (So that it makes an equal amount of space on | both sides of the outside of the square.) The guy in that | path will usually be beat upon. *Hard*. The prize is some | sort of equipment, and the ability to ask it three questions. | Oh GOD I want to know what it says: Other than the last boss | and the enemies.. THIS IS THE ONLY FRIENDLY PERSON to talk to! | .. So it must say something important. >< | | CSK: "About the 3 questions the kansai-speaking fish (I have | forgotten his name) is prepared to answer are: | 1. Who are you? | "I am the oldest fish living on this land... (plus other | details I have forgotten)." | | 2. Where am I? | "You are in the dungeon of 'primal instinct', it is a | dungeon for one with prehistoric power to challenge. Scatter | throughout the land are dungeons of 'strength', 'wisdom', | 'technic', 'time', 'heart' and 'key'. Their locations are | for you to find. What do I look like to you? A hint book?!" | | 3. Who am I? | "Idiot! Asking silly question like this!" " | | | |-- When done, go to the mountain, enter, go through the entire | ordeal, and before the statue room, level up to the twenties | AND UP. This last boss is VERY TOUGH, and without at LEAST a | twenty on all characters (Excluding Cube), you will get your | BUTTS KICKED, HANDS Down... | | Check the statues in the statue room to see your characters | remember them. Enter the room where Orstedd did before, go | up to the end, SAVE BEFORE YOU ENTER, enter, go up to the | statue, check it, and leave, then go back to the guy, and I WISH | YOU LUCK! | | IF YOU RUN AWAY, however.. YOU HAVE to defeat the next boss, or | need to START OVER THE ENTIRE GAME. He takes little damage, but IS | DEFEATABLE! You get a neato-item too. | | MAKE SURE THAT YOU MET EVERYONE if you want the best ending! | | Suggestions on last boss: | Mouth first. Avoid the way top thingie. Too much HP, and too much | defense. When the eyes and mouth are gone, BE VERY CAREFUL. Try | to have as many curative items for this part as possible! | | Be careful for the following attacks: | A four-by-four-square attack that turns all characters in its wake | into stone, and/or deal upwards of THREE HUNDRED DAMAGE. | | The whole-screen blast. Good damage, but knocks your planned | attack out.. Bummer. | | Losing is *bad*. You'll be glad you saved. ... *Bad*. | | I believe that's all, if not the most-used two of the ones he | uses. Actually, if you can kill the node at the top of the | screen, you will NOT have to fight the second form.. And although this | sounds INCREDIBLY TEDIOUS and DANGEROUS, you can skip the second form, | which is saving you from a great risk, BUT You will NOT get some | sounds in the sound room. In the end, it's a choice.. | | YES [, I WANT THE BAD ENDING ] | NO [ , I WANT TO PLAY A BIT LONGER SO I ENJOY MY GREAT ENDING ] | | (If/when you select No, and you defeated thee last boss by killing | the little node at the top of the first form, you'll notice the boss | music (possibly minus some instruments) playing.) | | When you go back to the statue room, and try to exit, you'll meet | up with the other three members. Upon touching them, you have to | end up surviving a few fights with all the bosses from the game, | excluding the last two. When you do that.. Enjoy the ending! | | I wish it had more meaning. @_@ | | | At the end, you get to see a picture of the character you beat the | epilogue with. Cube (With black shorts? o.o): *makes sound* | | Your save files for this game are deleted when you come back to the | game. So, savestates on emulators are good. Too bad for you actual | SNES/Famicom users. ;) | ___ |_______________________________________________________________/¯¯¯\ / ( LaL ) \ \___/ ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
