FINAL FANTASY MYSTIC QUEST: LEVEL #1

This is a walkthrough of Final Fantasy Mystic Quest. This FAQ will guide
you through the first part of the game.

I can only give you info. on the first level ONLY. I'm trying to give other
submitters
a chance to give the rest of the info. However, I will give you the best
info. I can give.

                                        EARTH CRYSTAL

       HILL OF DESTINY:

You will start at the Hill of Destiny. An old man will greet you. The hill
is sinking
because of a prophecy that came true. The old man will tell you the
prophecy and
why it came true. Then you will fight your first enemy. Kill the enemy,
then the old
man runs away. You automatically move to the Level Forest.

        LEVEL FOREST:

You meet the old man again in the Level Forest. He will tell you to find
the EARTH
CRYSTAL. Go talk to the man in the blue robe. Jump over the man and push
the boulder. He will give you a tree wither and tell you to find Kaeli in
Foresta. Go to
the box at the left and grab the cure potions. Since you can't go any where
else in the Level Forest, exit out by going all the way to the right. Go to
Foresta.

        FORESTA:

Foresta is not a beautiful sight, well...not right now. Go to the house on
the left.
This is Kaeli's house. Talk to Kaeli and she will join you. Go to the house
on the
top right corner. This is the man you help out's house. Talk to the man. He
will
tell you to go to the back door of his house and get the CURE spell. Then
get out
of Foresta and go back to Level Forest.

          LEVEL FOREST:

You are now back in the Level Forest. Kaeli cuts down a tree and you head
north. Fight some enemies along the way; they give you money and exp.
points.
This will make you stronger. Go to the orange tree. Kaeli will chop it
down. The
tree turns into a monster. This monster poisons Kaeli. You then fight this
monster.
When he is defeated, Kaeli's mother comes to get Kaeli. Kaeli tells you to
get elixir
from the sand temple and gives you her axe. Then head north to the sand
temple.

           SAND TEMPLE:

Head into a tunnel and on the other side of the temple, you see a box. The
elixir
is supposed to be there but an explorer named Tristam has it. Tristam talks
to
you. He says that if you help him get treasure from the Bone Dungeon, he
will 
give you the elixir. Get out of the temple and head north to the Bone
Dungeon.

          POINT OF ADVICE:

    THERE ARE BATTLEFIELDS THROUGHOUT THE GAME. EACH BATTLEFIELD
HAS TEN ROUNDS. IF YOU WIN A BATTLEFIELD, YOU GET A PRIZE!  MY AD-
VICE TO YOU IS TO WIN EVERY ONE OF THEM. SOME PRIZES ARE SERIOUS-
LY NEEDED!

         BONE DUNGEON:

  Enter the Bone Dungeon and on to the moving sand. Get the cure potions
from the
box, and move up. You will then enter a hole. Jump on the rocks and enter
the water.
Go through the dragon skeleton and out of the water. Go to the blocked
hole. Tristam
will then blow the hole up. He then offers you some explosives. Go back
into the wat-

er and back through the skeleton. Get out of the water and above you is a
pile of bo-
nes. Blow up the bones and through the passage. Open the chest. You've
found the
steel shield! Go back into the water, through the skeleton, out of the
water, and up
into the tunnel that you blew up. In this part of the level, you defeat all
the monsters.
When you're done, go to the top left corner and go down into a tunnel. Go
up into 
another skeleton and blow up the ribs. Go through the bones and go up.
Avoid the
moving sand and head south into another passage. Go up and blow up the
teeth of
the dragon skeleton and go all the way up. Open the box and get seeds. Then
go
back down and avoid the moving sand while fighting enemies. Blow the teeth
of the next skeleton and go all the way up. Open the chest. You've found
QUAKE! Go back
down and fight the monster next to you. Go to the passage and you are now
in the
lair of FLAMERUS REX, who has the EARTH CRYSTAL. Make sure that you save
your game before you fight him. QUAKE is the best weapon against him. If
you run
out of QUAKE, use seed to replinish your QUAKE. Once he is defeated,
Tristam gets his treasure, and he gives you the elixir, then he leaves.
Don't forget to grab the
SAND COIN, at the right of your screen. Then get out of Bone Dungeon.
