------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------- [Fatal Fury/Garou Densetsu] ---------------------------- ------------------------------[FAQ/Movelist]----------------------------------- ----------------------------[by Ice Queen Zero]-------------------------------- ------------------------------ [Neo Geo CD] ----------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- o---------------------o INTRODUCTION o---------------------o This is SNK's introduction into the fighting game scene. It came out around the same time as Street Fighter 2: World Warrior (aka the first edition of Street Fighter 2) and it introduces us to the Bogard brothers and Joe Higashi. It also introduces us to what we gamers label as the SNK Boss Syndrome in the form of Geese Howard. From there the syndrome spread to other SNK final bosses or many other final boss that appeared on Neo Geo. o---------------------o DISCLAIMER o---------------------o Fatal Fury and its characters are trademarks of SNK n' all copyrights belong to them. Now his adopted sons Terry and Andy Bogard are out for justice and they brought along their friend, Joe Higashi (who wants to prove himself to be the world's best fighter) as they participate in the 1st ever King of Fighters. o--------------------o CONTROLS o--------------------o A button = Punch B button = Kick C button = Throw D button = not used u = jump uf = jump forward f = move forward df = no function (use during special moves) d = crouch db = crouch blocking b = move backwards/block ub = jump backwards o--------------------o MOVELISTS o--------------------o Each character has a set of special moves in addition to the normal attacks given to them. The first four opponents listed can be chosen first by you the player and then the next opponent within the four will follow the cycle I have listed. After those four are defeated, you will face off against Hwa Jai then Raiden. The last two opponents are Billy Kane and Geese Howard being the last boss. In the Genesis version, Billy Kane and Hwa Jai were left out of the game. To make up for it, out of the three of the main characters you didn't pick, those two will show up at random times as a miniboss. They are playabe on SNES and Genesis. Duck King Tung Fu Rue Michael Max Richard Meyer Hwa Jai Raiden Billy Kane Geese Howard Notes about opponents: They can jump between the background and foreground but you can't under normal circumstances. You can only jump between planes whenever they do with an attack. Duck King's favorite move is the Head Spin. It will automatically land him into the other plane. He will occasionally use a sliding kick. Tung Fu Rue may look like a feeble old man but if you do enough damage to him, he will turn into a gigantic buff guy and will either do a spin kick that sends fireballs in both directions or he way spin across the screen with his arms out while floating in air. More damage returns him to normal. Michael Max moves fast and has a mean Tornado Uppercut that his similar to the Hurricane Uppercut that Joe uses. His punches are very damaging. Richard Meyer fights using the Capoeira style that Tekken fans may recognize as the style used by Eddie Gordo, Tiger, and Christy. His moves consists of hoping up to grab the bars on the ceiling and kicking. He can also do a spinning kick across the screen or do a handstand and fight from that stance. Hwa Jai starts off with limited moves but when he loses at least one-third of his life, he'll grab a special sake from the background and drink it. He will turn red and go crazy. He moves faster and use a deadly lunging knee similar to Joe's Tiger Kick. Raiden is one bad mofo. He will either use a sand attack or dive forward with a splash. You can provoke him into using either of these moves by purposely using a whiffing attack from afar then punishing him afterwards. Careful when getting too close, he may grab you by either lifting you by the face and crushing it or use a rolling powerbomb for major damage. Billy Kane is Geese's right-hand man. He fights withs with pole that sometimes can knock you into the crowd. His other moves consists of doing a pole vault kick and ocassionally tossing his stick at you. When he loses his stick, he'll cower in fear and suffer no damage until he gets his stick back from his crowd. He can also lose his stick when thrown. Geese Howard is a dirty fighter. He uses a more advanced version of Terry's Power Wave that moves fast across the whole screen. He uses a spin kick on some occassions and his most dangerous move involves countering your physical attack when you try to attack him aggressively. o--------------------o CREDITS o--------------------o SNK whom created the game GameFAQs for hosting My sister Renea "Roja Calor" Castillo - helping me test some of these moves out and for being my test dummy when a 2nd player is needed.
