I chose to make this FAQ/Walkthrough, because I love the cartoon and the game, and don't see any FAQs for it! In the game, you play as Goofy or Max, (or both, depending on the number of players playing) traveling around the island, rescuing Pete and PJ from Captain Stronghold. ************************************************************************ CONTROLS A - Talks B - Picks up, puts down, grabs, catches, throws, kicks X - Talks Y - Uses item L - Changes item R - Changes item Select - Pauses Start - Nothin Up - Goes up Down - Goes down Right - Goes right Left - Goes left ************************************************************************ WALKTHROUGH (NOTE: When you start a game, you must choose a character to be, Goofy or Max. Goofy is stronger, while Max is quicker.) ******* LEVEL 1 ******* You start on the beach. Talk to the islander dude above you, then go right. Pick up the cherries and the hookshot gun, then go left, back where you started. Go up, and use the barrels to destroy the guys. From across the river, use the hookshot to grab the barrel near the left block. Then go up and kick the leftmost block left. Get the items, kick the second block left, and the third right. Get the items, and leave. Back on the start, go right and up, kick the blocks, whatever, kill the guys, go up. Kill the snake by shooting it, then pick up the 2nd hookshot. If you wanna, switch items with L or R. Kill the guys, go up. Kill the bee, then kick the rightmost block down, to open the gate. Go through, pick up the board, and go left, down, and right. Kill the guys to open the gate. Above, use the board to cross the gap, and continue up. Avoid the guys, kill them, whatever, and go up. Here's the first puzzle in the game: kick the top right block left, then up. Kick the bottom right block up, then right. Kick the leftmost block left, then the other block left and up. Kick the last block down, left, and up. Congratulations! You've solved the first puzzle. Get the key, and go down, down, down, kill the 3 guys, and go left. Go up and kick the center block down, then go up. Exchange an item for the shovel, and dig up the dirt patch, getting the bananas and cherries. Switch the shovel back with your other item, and go down. Kick the left block down, go left. Avoiding the enemies (or killing them, which ever you prefer), go up and unlock the gate. Go up. Avoiding the guys or killin them, go right, then kill the walking guy to open the gate. Go up to the 2nd puzzle: kick the bottom left block left and up, and the one above it up. The middle left one goes right and down, and the middle right one goes down. The bottom block left over goes down, right, and up, and the final block goes up. Get the key and go down. Go left and up, killing the 3 guys. In the room above, there's 3 big guys. Use the bell to lure them to a position where you can kick the block to take them all out. Use the key to open the door, and enter the boss's room. BOSS 1 This boss consists of 7 pirate dudes popping in and out of holes. They throw barrels, bombs, and spikes at you. To beat them, catch the barrels or bombs, and throw them back. Or, use the 4 barrels around the room. It's pretty simple. ******* LEVEL 2 ******* Use the barrels to kill the 2 guys. Go up, then up again. For this puzzle, if a statue isn't de-activated, it shoots fireballs. So, the second block in the middle row goes left, then up. The lowest goes up, then the leftmost block goes right, then up. The lowest block again goes right, up, right, and up into position. The last goes up. Go up. Go around the guys, then exit left. Dodge the duys and get the board. Leave right, then go up. In this room, use the hookshot to cross the gap there, kill the guy, use the board. Get the hookshot and key, leave at the bottom. Return to the room with the board, kill the guys, go up. In this room, kill the snakes with the hookshot. Go up. In this room you meet a new trap: flashing blocks. When they get kicked, the block flashes green, then yellow, then red, then they explode. Just kick them around, kiling the guys. Go right. Kill the 2 guys, cross the gap, get the key, and open the door. (You should still have a key left. Also, make sure you have another hookshot.) Okay, this room is so hard. It has 2 guys that can kick blocks, but you need the 4 blocks for the four switches. I can't describe how to do it, just keep trying, It only took me a few tries. When you make it, go right. Open the door above you, avoiding the cannons and logs. But, go right instead of up. Get the hookshot in here, then go back left THEN up. Get the key and go right. Use the hookshot to cross the gap, then go back right. Get the hookshot, then go back left. Hit the wall switch, then cross the second gap. Get the other hookshot across the gap, then go up. In this room, there's guys that roll up and roll towards you. Use the small spaces to get past them, then go up to the boss. BOSS 2 For this boss, there's 3 phases, that he changes often. First, he goes left and right, throwing torches. Second, he flys left and right quickly burning everything. Third, he stands still, letting loose a flame chain. Hit him with the 4 barrels around the room, and when they are gone, 2 guys come and throw barrels for you to use. It takes about 10-15 hits. Congrats! ******* LEVEL 3 ******* Okay, you're outside of this castle. Why not enter it? Hit the switch and enter. First, in the ball room, go right. Get the key on the far ledge, avoiding the big guys, then go up and open the door. Get the candle and bell, return to the ball room. Go up, kill all the ghosts, and break the central mirror with a jar or something. Go up, get energy! Return to the ball room and go left. Hit the 4 switches, get the hookshot, go up. Find the shovel, go up, and DIG LIKE CRAZY! You'll need all the energy for the boss! When finished, go right. Go right again, past the spike things, and in the stairs. In the next room, get the board, go down, kill the cannon with the bombs (stand RIGHT in front of it to be safe from the balls flying around the room), and go left. Use the board, kill the guys in the middle by kicking a block, get the second board, use it, get the key up there, leave up. Avoid the lead rolling balls, go left. Get the key near the corner, go down. Go in the stairs. Spell "OPEN" on the floor to open the door. In the next room, hit the switches in the following order: 3 1 2 4 Go right. Kill the guy(s), get the key, open the door, (make sure you still have one key), go down, cross the pit with the hookshot, get the key, open the door blocking the stairs, then go back to the previous room and get the hookshot. Return and go in the stairs. Kill the guys, cross the pit, open the door, go left. Carefully make your way to the top of this room. In the next room, kill the 2 cannons, use their cannonballs. Go right. Carefully go get the boss key, go in the stairs, then go up and open the door to the boss! BOSS 3 There are 2 skeletons that you must defeat. The red shoots 3 bones out at a time that stick in the ground quickly, while the blue one shoots out 2 bones that bounce off the walls, then stick in the ground. Pick up a bone in the ground and throw it at one skeleton (concentrate on one first, then the other). After about 10 hits, it will also start throwing it's head at you. Just throw bones at the head, and dodge it, and about 5 more hits will kill it. Now, just concentrate on the other skeleton, and you beat it! (I thought it was hard!) Wow! Level 4 is in the next version! ************************************************************************ CREDITS I would like to thank the following: -Me, for writing this -Nintendo of America, for the system -GameFAQs, for giving everyone the chance to be a FAQ writer This FAQ Copywright 1999 Dan Weingardt (Aardvark) I, Dan Weingardt (Aardvark), assume no responsibility for any injury or death that may occur while reading this FAQ.
