My urge to cover more SMS FAQs however has never wavered and that is why I'm back today in the newest SEGA Master System Completion Project which is hosted on the FAQ Contributors - General Board. Game after game has gone by and I no longer have any specific reasons to pick the games I pick. The game looked fun and as such was an easy choice to write for. The game is fairly simple and repetitve I'm not going to list a detailed walkthrough as it isn't mandatory for this type of game. It is just meant to learn you how to play the game and reach the end. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= 2- Gameplay [A200] =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= =============================================================================== 2.1- Story [A201] =============================================================================== Madame Who-Said has been coating famous Toons in wax to make statues for her Wax Museum, and the next victim will be Bonkers! Now he needs to stop her, free his pal Lucky and find the Toon Toaster to un-wax the Toons. =============================================================================== 2.2- How To Play [A202] =============================================================================== The story isn't very in-depth and the same can be said about the gameplay. The gameplay can be divided in two parts, the main levels and the bonus levels. In total there are six main levels, but they contain multiple sub-levels and some bonus levels if you find them. - Main Levels ----------------------------------------------------------------- The main levels are fairly big in scope, divided in multiple sub-levels and ending with a small boss fight. In each sub-level you need to run and jump around a giant castle with a lot of floors and stairs, to find seven pickle clues in each level. Finding them should be a big deal, but it isn't. Click on the Pause button and the game shows you the way to the closest. There also isn't a standard place where you can find them; so the Pause button is really the key to finishing the game. As the castle is also filled to the brim with health items like meat, coffee, doughnuts, pizza and other bonus items. Luckily there is still a bit of challenge, there are also a lot of enemies, who follow set patterns throughout the game. Any ghost will walk from left to right and back, any dog will pop out of furniture. It is easy to predict them and even easier to defeat them. Just jump on their head if you want to bother. Only the bosses need to be defeated and only they will pose a challenge. Even they can be defeated by jumping on their head three times. In terms of controls you don't need to remember a lot. The D-Pad is for moving Bonkers, 1 is for running and 2 is for jumping. Combining 1 and 2 leads to a running jump, which takes you very far and can be used to cross almost any gap in a level as long as you see the next part of the level. Otherwise there isn't a gap to jump over, you're just leaping into the abyss. Lastly, you have the duck and slide. Keep pressing 1 to run and suddenly press the opposite way on the D-Pad to slide. - Bonus Levels --------------------------------------------------------------- The gameplay in the bonus levels is fairly limited. You are sitting in a mining cart and you are following a track from the start of the level until the end. During the level you will often have to choose between multiple paths. Using the D-Pad you can choose easily. You won't see many obstacles during these levels, you will just have to jump (button 2) many gaps which shouldn't be that hard. You will also have to jump to collect pieces of a Toon Toaster, which is your main goal in these levels. Don't be afraid if you miss them, you don't need them to finish the game. It is just a simple way to gain extra points.
