Sexy Parodius FAQ by Vic Viper (vicviper592@yahoo.com) Table of Contents: 1. Story/About the Game 2. How to Play 3. Controls 4. Power Up Modes 5. Items/Bells 6. Characters/Weapons 7. Stage Tree 8. Stage Infomation 9. Endings *SPOILER* 10. Tips 11. Revisions 12. Special Thanks 1. Story/About the Game: Well I don't know much about the story, since its all in Japanese. But it looks like Takosuke (Mr. Parodius: Not sure its the Takosuke from "Gokujou Parodius".) and Pentarou are starting some kind of buisness. And needed Vic Viper and friends to help them. 2. How to Play The game is played exactly like "Gradius". But like "Salamander" and "Life Force", this game can be played with two players at the same time. Collect Red Power Ups to charge the Power Meter. Once the Power Meter highlights a certain weapon, hit the POWER UP button to select it. And like "Gradius", one hit kills you unless you have Shields. And if you lose all lives, you could Continue the game. Continuing will let you go back to the character select screen and choose another character. However, your score will go back to 0. And if your score from the last credit made it anywhere on the High Score list, your initials will be the first three letters of the last character's name you selected (i.e.: You chose Vic Viper and continued. So your High Score initials from that credit will be "VIC".). You could however not continue and just type in your real initials. But that's your decision. 3. Controls: Directioal Buttons/Joystick: Moves Characters. Shoot: Fires Main Weapon. Missile: Fires Missile Weapon. Power Up: Selects weapon on Power Meter. All Buttons: Uses Bomb or Kiku Beam Bell Ability 4. Power Up Modes: Auto Pros: - Chooses Weapons for you. - All buttons are fire. - No Roulette. - When you lose a life, you don't start at a checkpoint. You contiune where you where. Plus, bells of different color appear where you died. - After death or the start of the game, you will automatically get a Speed Up. Cons: - There maybe some characters that will get wrong weapon at the wrong time. (i.e.: Vic Viper and Lord British will always get Double selected. There maybe time where they could need a Laser, mainly on bosses.) - Bell Power autofires, after a push of a button. Semi-Auto Pros: - Chooses weapons for you. - Shoot button also fires missiles. - Can let you select from the Power Meter. - Also no Roulette. - After death or the start of the game, you will automatically get a Speed Up. Cons: - When you lose a life, you will be taken back to a checkpoint. Manual (Note: This is mainly for the hardcore "Gradius" players.) Pros: - You can choose the right gun for the right situation. Cons: - After death or the start of the game, you will automatically get a Speed Up. - Roulette on certain Power Capsule pick ups. - No bonus Speed Up per life. 5. Items/Bell The items in this game are Power Up Capsules and Bells. Bells act like the "TwinBee" bells. Shoot them to make it change color. A little warning on bells: you will not be able to use a shield power when you are using bell powers. And if you still have shields, getting a color bell will deactivate your shields (Note: Yellow and Purple Bells don't deactivate shields.). Red Power Up Capsule: Charges the Power Meter. Watch it if you are using Manual. You may randomly get a Roulette. Blue Power Up Capsule: Destroys weaker enemies. Yellow Bells: Gives you points. Point value increases, as long as you don't miss a bell. 500 for the first. 1000 for the second. 2500 for the third. 5000 for the fourth. 10000 for the fifth and above. Blue Bell: Gives you a Screen Clearing bomb. Can also destroy bullets. You can hold up to 3. Green Bell: Make you big for a limited time. You are invinsible at this time. White Bell: Summons Alex. Alex will help you attack enemies. Watch out, he has HP. If it hits 0, he dies. Get bells to refill his HP. White ones will increase his HP total. Red Bell: Gives you Kiku Beam, which shoots out a long vertical mine that can also destroy bullets. It stays out there for about 6 seconds. Purple Bell: Turns all weak enemies to items. 6. Instead, they will dance. And if you are underwater, the clone will just float to the surface. K or A Shot: Koitsu or Aitsu will toss a basketball. The basketballs auto aim, and you can shoot two at a time. The more K or A Powers you get, the more basketballs you could fire. K or A Way: Koitsu or Aitsu's shots spread in three directions. Stage Tree Good Path Stage 3A Stage 4A / \ / \ Stage 1-Stage 2 / /-Stage 5 - Stage 6 \ / \ / Bad Path Stage 3B Stage 4B Note: Boss Rush will appear randomly after Stage 2. Also, Special Stage appears after Mission Completing all Stages. 8. Stage/Boss Infomation I will try to tell you what weapon should be used on each stage and boss. Note: Auto mode will choose the weapon for you. So this will be based on the Semi Auto/Manual or Two Player setting. Also, this is based on Difficulty 4 setting. -Stage 1: Farm Stage- Goal: Defeat Corn Chiwa Description: At the start, you will shoot at flying sheeps and goats. Goats will give you items. Just before the stage starts, destroy the row of Moai head for an item. The stage will be full of Milk bottles that launches Cow enemies. On the ground and ceiling, there will be penguins shooting at you. Pink ones will drop items. The middle of the stage, will have green balls that expand, every time you shoot them and explode once they are big. Just like in the first stage of "Salamander" with the pink ball things. Near the end, a walking hill will jump. When it lands, gun penguins and milk bottles will show up. Suggested Weapons for this Stage: Vic Viper/Lord British: You should always use missiles after a Speed Up. But any weapon will work well for this stage. If you want to hit every single enemy, use the Double. Ivan/Toby: Iwatobi Missile should always be the second thing to use after Speed Up. Also, Bound Shot should be used for this stage or maybe the entire game. Hikaru/Akane: Hawkwind Missiles should be use to take out both top and bottom enemies. And always use Carrot. Mambo/Samba: After Speed Up, select Bubble Missile two times. Then, get Search Laser. Probably the only weapons needed for the entire game, since Search Laser seeks anything it sees. Micheal/Gabriel: Strong Missile should be your second power up. Also, you should use Round Laser for this stage. Koitsu/Aitsu: Like most characters, K.Missile should be the second power up. Any main gun works well for this level. I use the K.Shot to attack rear enemies. Option/Multiple: Any morph works fine for the stage. But I use the Thunder Cross morph for this stage. Shooting Star/Black Viper: Hmm, it appears the Spark Laser is all you need for the entire game. Boss: Corn Chiwa Description: A giant cob of Corn. Don't take too long, or the boss leaves and the Mission is Incomplete. Weakpoint: Mouth Attacks: Popcorn Attack: The corn will shoot out lots of popcorn at you. However, the popcorn is shootable. Charge Attack: After a while, it will jump in the air and try to ram you. Easily avoidable. Boss Tips: Vic Viper/Lord British: If you still have Doubles, switch to Lasers. The Lasers will destroy the Popcorn easily. But, its still beatable with Doubles. Ivan/Toby: You may have to avoid some stray popcorn flying at you. Try to keep your options spread apart, so you can cover most of the screen with Bound Shot fire. Hikaru/Akane: The Carrots can take care of the popcorn easily, since they are fast. Mambo/Samba: Well, looks like Search Laser is the only thing needed for all bosses. The laser will seek out both popcorn and boss. Micheal/Gabriel: You could use Wave Laser to easily take out the popcorn attack. But any weapon works well for this boss. Koitsu/Aitsu: Any weapon is effective for this one. But I use the K.Shot to quickly take out the popcorn. Option/Multiple: Koitsu or Thunder Cross Morph works well with this boss. Shooting Star/Black Viper: The Spark Laser will easily clear away the popcorn, and hit the boss at the same time. Mission Complete Cutscene: Tako tells the shaphshifting fox (which was the Corn Chiwa) to change into a big breasted girl. Apparently, the fox had a hard time turning into a girl. Mission Incomplete Cutscene: The Corn Chiwa burns down a city. -Stage 2: Bathhouse- Goal: Get 300 coins Description: At the start, you will be attacked by a row of purple things. Destroy all of them for an item. Watch it, they can fire at you. Later, small girls in tubs will fire bubbles. I suggest you wait til they fire lots of red ones, before destroying the tubs. That way, you could collect lots of items. At the start of the stage be sure to get TWO SPEED UPS, cause this is a "Gradius" type speed stage. Oh yeah, if you are playing two players, this will be even harder. Anyway, the goal for this stage will be hard to complete if using Auto. You're goal is to get 300 coins. Small ones count as 1 coin. Big ones count as 5. shooting the swans will get you an item. At the middle of the stage, you will have to deal with the giant tubs. Watch out for the bubbles from the tub. Just shoot them. Following the tubs, there will be lots of coins. Oh yeah, be careful not to hit that dead end. Near the boss will be a long slope going down. Try to get all the coins. Note: Complete this mission, and you will goto Stage 3A. Fail, and you'll goto Stage 3B. Suggested Weapons for this Stage: Well all I could say is any weapon for anyone will do. As long as you have two speed ups. Just don't crash. Boss: Toilet Penguin Description: A floating Penguin with a toilet on its head. Weakpoint: Belly Button Attacks: Bubble Attack: Will shoot out bubbles out of his head. Some bubbles will have coins and enemies. The grey enemies can't be destroyed. The red bubbles will drop items. Boss Tips: Vic Viper/Lord British: Laser is very effective at taking out the bubbles, and hitting the weakpoint. Ivan/Toby: Again, use Bound Shot and fire and dodge at the same time. Hikaru/Akane: Carrots will blast the bubbles real quick, and hit the weakpoint as well. Mambo/Samba: Search Laser of course. Will clean out the bubbles real quickly and hit the weakpoint as well. Be careful, the Search Laser will also try to destroy the unkillable grey enemies. Micheal/Gabriel: Since you need to dodge lots of things, a powered up Round Shot should work. Koitsu/Aitsu: Any weapon. K.Shot is the one I use. Option/Multiple: Any Morph. But I think the Thunder Cross one works the best, since the shot will hit the bubbles and bounch to the weakpoint. Shooting Star/Black Viper: The Spark Laser can both clear away the bubbles, and hit the weakspot. The Powered Up Auto Options will also take care of enemies from behind. Mission Complete Cutscene: Hikaru, Akane, and Multiple is scene in the girls side of the bathhouse. Koitsu is standing on Hikaru's head. Vic, Ivan, Mambo, and Micheal takes a peak at the girls side as well. And Ace tries to look too. Mission Incomplete Cutscene: Vic and gang gets flushed down the toilet. *More to come.* 9. Endings *SPOILER* - Coming Soon 10. Tips - While using shield powers, try to avoid touching the walls, ceiling, or floor with your shield. This will count as barrier damage. - Bosses have attack patterns. So be sure to memories them. - Speed Up should be your first power up ever. - Would you like to continue and type your real initials? As soon as you use up your last life, switch over to Player 2 and continue on Player 2 side very quick before the "Please Continue" timer appears. Select whatever character you like on Player 2 but don't push anything yet. Now, let the Continue Timer on Player 1 expire quickly by pressing the fire button. Then quickly enter in your real initials. Once that's done, continue where you left off from Player 2 side. You could also do this, if you do not want to continue from the checkpoint. 11.
