I hope you have as much fun reading this as I had making it... or something. Testing out a new layout which I hope will be... urm... nice looking. This FAQ is a labor of boredom, love for Mega Man, and... uh... Vanillia Coke. Reward your curiosity, folks... *Coca Cola represenative hands DH a load of cash* My guide is different from other guides because of two things. All of the MMX4 guides I have seen tell you to face the bosses in the same exact order as other guides. My guide offers you two ways; one is the way that other guides tell you, and the other is a way I developed. My way is a bit harder, but requires you to revisit as little stages as possible. Not only that, but I also provide a strategy for how to defeat each and ever boss with the X Buster. So, enjoy! If you want to use this FAQ on your site, just ask me. I probably won't let you though. Tee-hee. Currently, this guide should only appear on the following sites... www.gamefaqs.com Wednesday, July 03, 2002, Wee Hours of the Morning - Version 1.0 First version of FAQ, completely complete. Thursday, July 18, 2002, 9:35 PM - Version 1.1 Added an email and some stuff to the last boss strategy for Zero. Saturday, September 01, 2002, 12:40 AM - Version 1.1 This FAQ is now located at faqs.ign.com. I'm known as Hunter of Demise over there, since someone already took Death Hunter. *Sigh*. =*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*= +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ 2)CONTROLS +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Here, I will go into detail about certain maneuvers you may need to use throughout the game, as well as the basic controls. This is for all you manual skippers out there... +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Basic Controls +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ X and Zero control nearly the same. Square - Use this button to shoot with X, or slash with Zero. Yay! X - Use this button to jump with both characters. Whee! Circle - Use this button to dash with both characters. Vroom, vroom! R2 - Use this button to perform a special attack with X and Zero. Boom! Triangle - Use this button to perform a normal shot with X while techniques are equiped. For Zero, this allows him to use his special techniques. Fun, fun! L1/R1 - Use these buttons to switch weapons with X. Fun, fun! Pretty simple, eh? Wait until you get to see the advanced controls. They'll like, blow your mind. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Advanced Controls +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ These are advanced controls for X and Zero. Mostly maneuvers you'll have to use from time to time... Dash Jump - Circle + X. A quicker, farther jump. Wall Jump - X + Towards Wall. Allows you to kick away from from the wall, propelling you upwards. Use successively to "climb" walls. You can also combine a Dash Jump with a Wall Jump for quicker climbing. Dash/Wall Jump - A combined Wall Jump and Dash Jump. To execute, press Circle + X + Towards Wall successively. Jump Attack - Circle + Square. A... Jump attack. Yay! Air Dash - X + Circle. Not availiable right away. Zero needs to defeat Jet Stingray for his Air Dash, and X needs to aquire his LEG ENHANCEMENT. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ X Advanced Moves/Parts Explanation/Weapon Explanation +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Big Shot - Hold Square until X has a circle of light around him. Release Square and X will fire a large shot that is very damaging. Hover - X + X. MegaMan X will hover in the air for a short while. Must have the LEG ENHANCEMENT. Super Weapon - Hold Triangle until a circle of light surrounds X, and release to unleash a charged weapon shot. Must have an enemy technique selected, and the ARM ENHANCEMENT. Nova Dash - R2. X's performs an Air Dash of sorts. During the Nova Dash, X is invincible and is able to destroy nearly anything, excluding bosses. Does heavy damage to bosses. Must have BODY ENHANCEMENT. LEG ENHANCEMENT - Armor for X's legs. Allows X to perform the Air Dash and Hover. HEAD ENHANCEMENT - Armor for X's head. Allows X to have unlimited energy for an uncharged weapon shot. BODY ENHANCEMENT - Armor for X's body. Allows X to take half as much damage as before, as well as perform the Nova Dash. ARM ENHANCEMENT - There are two. One is the Charge Shot, and one is the Plasma Shot. The Plasma Shot is incredibly powerful, while the Charge Shot allows you to store four weaker shots in your arm. You can then fire them in rapid succession. However, each shot is roughly 1/3 as powerful as the Plasma Shot. Lightning Web - X gets this weapon from Web Spider, who resides in the Jungle. This weapon shoots an electrical web forward that can damage enemies, and also be used for wall jumps. When charged, this fires and unclimable network of webs forward. Aiming Laser - X gets this weapon from Cyber Peacock, who resides in Cyber Space. This weapon requires you to aim at the enemy. Once it locks on, press the [] to fire at the enemy. When charged, it releases a laser that lasts longer. Double Cyclone - X gets this weapon from Storm Owl, who resides in the Air Force. This weapon has X throw two small wind eddies from both hands which go to the side, then up. When charged, X throws out a Double Cyclone, that hits anything within horizontal distance of X. Rising Fire - X gets this weapon from Magma Dragoon, who resides in the Volcano. This weapon, when fired, makes X throw a fireball straight up. When charged, X jumps into the air with a flaming fist, then releases a fireball upward and falls back to the ground. Ground Hunter - X gets this weapon from Jet Stingray, who resides in the Marine Base. This weapon releases a small stingray down and towards the ground, which will then hunt out anything in front of it. When charged, it fires a large Hunter straight forward. Soul Body - X gets this weapon from Split Mushroom, who resides in the Bio Laboratory. This weapon creates a clone of X, and fires it forward. The clone damages anything it touches. When charged, X releases a realistic clone of himself which you control for a short time span. Twin Slasher - X gets this weapon from Slash Beast, who resides in the Military Train. This weapon fires two small semi circles forward in a < pattern. When charged, it fires six forward, three going up and three going down to create another < pattern. Frost Tower - X gets this weapon from Frost Walrus, who resides in the Snow Base. This weapon shoots out ice around X, then drops to the ground. When charged, it creates one crystal in the center of the screen which falls, followed by two, then three, then four crystals. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Zero Advanced Moves +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Combo Attack - Square, Square, Square. A three hit combo attack with Zero's Saber. Nifty, no? Raijingeki - Triangle button on ground. Zero aquires this weapon from Web Spider. Zero thrusts his Z Saber forward, which has been charged with electricity. Kuuenbuu - X, X. Zero aquires this technique from Split Mushroom. Zero jumps into the air, and jumps once again for a double jump. Quite nifty. Kuuenzan - X, Sqaure. Can also be performed with X, X, Square. Zero aquires this technique from Split Musroom. Zero spins around while slashing with his Z Saber, making him near invincible. Hienkyaku - See "Air Dash". Ryuenjin - Up + Triangle. Zero aquires this technique from Magma Dragoon. Zero slashes upward with his weapon, which has been charged with fire. He soars through the air with this technique. Tenkuuha - Not really a technique. Zero aquires this technique from Storm Owl. It replaces Zero's Z Saber with a purple one that can destroy small energy shots. Hyouretsuzan - X, Down + Triangle. Zero aquires this technique from Frost Walrus. Zero stabs quickly downward with his sword which is now a large ice crystal. (X, X, Down + Triangle works here as well.) Shippuuga - Circle, Triangle. Zero aquires this technique from Slash Beast. A bit tricky to pull off, as you have to hold Circle for a moment. Zero makes a quick crescent slash with a red saber. Rakuhouha - R2. Zero aquires this technique from Cyber Peacock. Zero slams his fist down, releasing a semi circle of energy shots that fire above him in all directions. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ 3) WALKTHROUGH FOR X +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Pick your pony, and get started. X has a slightly easier game, and Zero has a slighty more challenging (yet cooler, I think) game. Note that there are two paths I will take. One is the easy way, but requires you to revisit some levels. One is a harder way, but you will only have to revisit one level. I will be following the Hard Path, so just scroll up/down to find the level you need to be at. The only difference between Hard and Easy is that you have to fight Slash Beast before Magma Dragoon, so that you don't have to revisit Magma Dragoon's stage later. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ SKY LAGOON A very, very easy opening stage. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Walk forward while repeatedly tapping Sqaure. You won't be touched. You will soon come upon a flying dragon and a stone wall. You can dispatch the dragon by shooting it's hands (It takes four Big Shots) or you can just skip him and jump over the stone walls that get in your way. Dash jumping works best for this. At the end, you will come across a stone wall that must be destroyed. Watch out for the dragon if you didn't dispatch him, and destroy the wall. Fire a charged shot into the vehicular enemy, followed by a series of weaker pellets. Dash until you're right next to the grenading enemies, and fire three pellets to dispatch them. After three of them, you'll come across another vehicular enemy. Destroy him, and the three other guys that follow, and walk through the door to meet Magma Dragoon. After the sequence, you'll be teleported to the ground. Take out the two claw like enemies, and Wall Jump up. Watch out for the falling cube of rock, and destroy it. Kill any enemies that get in your way and contine onward. Again, watch out for falling things. Destroy the next two cubes and keep on truckin'. Dispatch the two claws, and Wall Jump upwards. Continue forward and take out the two bees, and watch out for the cube that will fall into a pit. After the pit, a segment of the celing will fall trying to kill you. Just go left a little bit to avoid it. Dispatch two more bees, watch out for more falling rock, and dispatch the other six bees. One platform will fall, and another will rise. Whee! Take out the two claws, then take out the three bees and three claws. Take care of the rock in the middle of the wall on the right, then fall into a chasm to collect a full life container and a one up. Wall/Dash Jump outta there, and kick it to the right. BOSS FIGHT - King Dragon HEALTH - 10 Big Shots Keep your distance while firing Big Shots. Don't worry about getting hit, as it won't really matter. Be careful when he flies to the other side, but keep shooting him and he'll go down. Really, really easy. All it takes is 10 Big Shots to kill this hunk-a-junk. FOR THE NEXT STAGE... BOTH DIFFICULTIES - Jungle +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ JUNGLE Infiltrate enemy occupied jungle and destroy the weapon under construction. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Dash Jump to the right, and dispatch the three manta rayish enemies as they appear. Then, take out the spear wielding mer-man-beast thing with a Big Shot and a pellet. Continue on, killing the manta as it appears, and slide down the waterfall. Stick to the left side to evade most enemies, and at the bottom, dash into the pit in the center of the floor. Go to the right and collect your LEG ENHANCEMENT after hearing Dr. Light babble on and on. Now go left, and down the pitfall on the left. Continue right and kill spearboy and the four legged monstrosity, then Wall Jump up onto solid ground. Kill another spearman, and a manta that comes out of the hole. Dash Jump over the chasm, take out another wall walker, and jump up onto higher ground. Continue on, taking out two pike-boys, a few mantas, and a wall walker. The key to the log section is speed, so always use a Dash Jump. Climb up the series of ladders, dispatching the pike-men with Big Shots as you hang onto the rungs of the ladder. Climb up the last ladder and go right, ignoring the pikeman that appears behind you (do take out the ones in front of you, however) and destroy the door. Yay, Jungle Area 2. Continue right, blowing up snakes and wall walkers. Dash Jump over the two electrical webs, and dash off the cliff face towards the end of the segment. Fall to the ground and continue left, blowing up whatever gets in your way. Fall down the pit on the left, and charge up a shot. When you see a bee's "nest", fire your Big Shot to destroy it. Charge up another shot, continue on and destroy the next nest. Charge up another shot, destroy another nest... Charge up another shot, destroy another nest... Then continue onwards. Climb down the two ladders, and collect the health on your left. Wall Jump up to the platform at the top of your screen, and continue forward. If the electric web blocks your way, kill the spiders that come out. Anyway, continue forward, and up. If you'll take a moment to look at the wood on the right side of your screen, you'll be happy to know you can destroy it with Rising Fire and collect a HEART TANK. Hence, you'll need to come back later. Continue upward and onward, dispatching spiders and snakes. When you fall to the ground charge up a Big Shot and continue. Blow up the nest, then continue past the two webs and prepare for a boss fight. BOSS FIGHT - Web Spider WEAPON - Electric Web He protects the secret weapon of the Jungle. WITH X BUSTER Charge up a Big Shot during the dialouge, but don't release it at the beginning of the fight. Wait until he comes back down, and shoot him. There's a number of ways to avoid the webs he shoots at you, my favorite way is to just dash jump over them. You can also Wall Jump over them. Shoot him with Big Shots when you can. This part is easy. When you take his health down by about 1/2, he'll create a large web in which he'll crawl around. Stay on one side of the screen (or dash under him to the other side) and blast away. He'll still shoot webs, but he'll also release four spiders, two on either side. They'll hunt you down, so be careful. The best way to take care of them is to shoot a Big Shot right at Web Spider's back hatch as they crawl out. You'll hit him, and two spiders. This boss isn't too hard... Just be careful. WITH TWIN SLASHER See above, except you don't need to charge up your shots. FOR THE NEXT STAGE... BOTH DIFFICULTIES - Bio Labratory +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ BIO LABRATORY The abandoned lab is now operational. Investigate and destroy the lab. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Start walking forward while charging up a Big Shot. Wait for the first enemy to lift it's sheild, then blow it away with your Big Shot. Stop, charge up a Big Shot and continue, then destroy the next shiled enemy. Go forward, and dispatch three bomber bats. After the third, charge up a Big Shot, continue forward, and dispatch the shield enemy. Charge up another Big Shot, and continue forward. Try to ignore the flying enemies, and dispatch the shielded robot. After that, there will be another shielded enemy and finally a teleporter. Hop on, and then jump over the chasm and go up the ramp. Dispatch the flying enemy and the walker one, and do the same for the next two. Jump over the chasm, on the first platform, then the next, and kill the next three enemies. Jump onto the wall and hold forward, then jump up and continue on to the next area. Climb up the ladders and dispatch the three enemies, then Wall Jump up into the next area. Take the path on the left and kill the two enemies attached to the wall, and continue upwards. Take out two more wall enemies, and a flying one as it comes. When you get to the ladder, be sure not to touch the spiked walls... Keep climbing while taking out multiple flying robots. For the next section, watch the drills carefully and time it just right to climb up the ladders, or do the section really quickly to avoid being hit. Either way, go up and onto the next section, after a few enemies, and prepare for a mini boss. Before you jump from the second platform to solid ground, charge up a big shot. Walk forward, and the enemy will appear. Go onto the right most platform, and keep charging a Big Shot. When the enemy stops, head onto the next platform, turn, and fire the Big Shot when he comes up. Follow up by shooting him a few more times with pellets, and when he gets out of range, charge up another Big Shot. Rinse and repeat, by always staying on the right most platform. If you find the right most platform to also be the left most, then jump up onto the top left platform. When he stops, hop down to the left most platform, and blast him with a Big Shot as he comes up. Jump up and pound him with pellets, and keep shooting until he is out of range. If you didn't kill him, then you're pretty much screwed. Continue left... Hm. Stairs again? Boo. For this section, it's usually best to just dash forward as much as you can while destroying enemies in front of you. For the most part, don't stop until you reach the teleporter. When you're teleported, prepare yourself for a tricky spot (if you want the HEART TANK, that is...) Head to the right, and let the left platform fall a bit (leave about a Mega Man X heigth between the platform's edge and the celing). Then, Wall Jump onto the top of the platform, wait for the drill on the right to fall, and Wall Jump up to the right to get the HEART TANK. Slide down the wall by holding right, and for the rest of this segment just keep Dashing and Dash Jumping as fast as you can to the end. The elevator segment you have to kind of play by ear. Make sure you don't get stuck between something above you, and the elevator, or you'll be squished. At the end, Wall Jump up to some life and an energy capsule, and prepare yourself for the boss fight. BOSS FIGHT - Split Mushroom WEAPON - Soul Body He occupies the laboratory and will attack whoever visits there. WITH X BUSTER Like always, charge up a Big Shot during the dialouge. However, don't release the shot as the fight starts. Instead, dash towards Split Mushroom, turn around, jump up, and fire. Charge up another shot, and fire. Charge up a third shot, fire, and a fourth shot as well. When the first clone thingy jumps towards you, Wall Jump off the left wall and fire a Big Shot at Split Mushroom. Do it two more times, and then he'll clone himself once more. However, it will be a full clone, so watch yourself. Stay on the opposite side of the screen from them and fire your Big Shots as you can, jumping over the two crazy mushrooms. Don't worry, your Big Shot will pass through the fake and hit the real one. You should be able to get three or four Big Shots off, and then he'll start spinning around. He (and his clone) will jump from one side of the arena to the other, and then fall to the ground. To avoid this, get close to him (but not too close) while he's spinning, and just let him jump over you. They'll then begin thier dashing once more. Just stay on the opposite side and fire. After that, it's more spinning. You should be able to kill him by this phase. WITH LIGHTNING WEB So very, very easy. Jump up and shoot him with Lightning Web, and he'll fall to the ground. The he'll jump to the other side of the screen. Shoot him with Lightning Web. He'll jump to the other side of the screen... and so on. FOR THE NEXT STAGE... BOTH DIFFICULTIES - Cyber Space +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ CYBER SPACE A bug has corrupted the network. Dive into cyberspace and exterminate it. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ First off, equip the Soul Body. Activate it after the red square surrounds you, and hurry towards the exit. Get there before the square says "HURRY UP!" below you again. As long as it doesn't finish saying it, you should get a "Rank S" and be awarded a HEART TANK. Continue forward. After the red square, activate Soul Body, and stick to the lower path. Just keep Soul Body activated, and dash foward. You should reach the end in no time. For your efforts, you'll get an E-TANK. Head ever onward. After the red square, turn on Soul Body. You'll have to make it last for the rest of the segement, so only use it when there's a yellow circle you need to destroy. A helpful tip - When you see a portal open, and a blue, round thing coming out of it, just dash under the portal and continue onward. Get to the end as fast as you can, and achieve an S Rank so that you can get the HELMET ENHANCEMENT!! This is probably the best ENHANCEMENT. Continue forward to be teleported... Okay, the races are over. Head forward, taking care of enemies as they come. Be sure to step on all the yellow buttons to flip the stage around. If you want to blaze through this part, you can just use Soul Body, if you collected the HELMET, because you'll have unlimited weapon energy. Go over the ramp, and step on the button at the end. Be careful and slide down the left wall at just the right moment to avoid being damaged, and Dash Jump over the pit at the bottom. Continue down the ramp, then up the ramp, then down the pit formed by the falling ball. Press the button, and wait for the rolling ball to come to a stop. Then, press the next button and again wait for the ball to stop. Press the last button and continue on to the end of the stage. Prepare yourself for a boss battle... BOSS FIGHT - Cyber Peacock WEAPON - Aiming Laser He lives in cyberspace and wants to destroy the network system. WITH X BUSTER If you're fighting Cyber Peacock with the X Buster, you're either insane, or here at the wrong time. Anywho, thank the heavens for me, right? As always, charge up a Big Shot before the battle begins. Walk forward until Peacock appears, and then, while keeping your distance, turn around and blast him. If he just shoots upwards into the sky, then consider yourself lucky and begin charging a shot whilst walking back and forth between the walls. However, he may shoot his feathers out at you (which is why you must keep your distance). If you find yourself cornered, jump up on the wall. Otherwise, he'll nail you. These are (to the extent of my knowledge) the only attacks he'll perform while appearing on the ground. However, if he appears in the air, abandon hope of shooting him with a Big Shot. Your priority is to dodge the heat seeking missiles he shoots, which is a tough task. I highly reccomend that you dash over to the opposite wall and jump up onto it. You can blast him with a Big Shot while sliding down the wall, as I've found the missles explode before they can reach you... Some of the time. Other times, you'll need to dash around and dash jump to avoid them. It's a pretty tough fight... WITH SOUL BODY Ah, I'm glad you're following either the Easy or Hard route, and you're no nut. Just have Soul Body equipped and (assuming you have the HELMET ENHANCEMENT) keep tapping Square while walking back and forth. Hit Peacock with Soul Body as he appears, and he'll disappear. If he appears in the air, of course, you'll need to jump up to damage him. FOR THE NEXT STAGE... BOTH DIFFICULTIES - Air Force +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ AIR FORCE The Repliforce ship has taken off. Pursue and blast it out of the air. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ This stage is quite fun. Head right, with a charged up Big Shot, and unleash it on the blue ship. Then, pelt it with rapid fire. Charge up another shot, and release it on the next blue ship. Hop in the robot armor with wings, and press jump twice to hover. This thing's hover is unlimited so take great advantage of it. You can dash whilst in the air, and also fire homing missiles by charing up a shot. Anyway, continue on and destroy the mounted guns with some homing missiles. Destroy the next enemy with a charged up shot, and then fire rapidly and the next one. Continue on (hovering is best, because you can move with a charged shot) and get the HEART TANK before the large purple ship destroys the blue platform. Destroy another blue ship, followed by two more mounted guns. After that, two more mounted guns... Yay. Continue on, and you'll face another missile launching enemy, and another blue platform destroying purple ship. Dash Jump past it, and the next one, and destroy the last blue ship. Jump over the chasm, and you'll be teleported. Equip Soul Body, and go a few feet in from the door way. Activate it and go forward, and destroy the enemy behind the door. Switch to your X-Buster and finish off the door, then continue forward and destroy the enemies before they can fire. Ride the platform over the spikes, and jump up onto the next platform. If you have Lightning Web, you can get the ARM ENHANCEMENT. Why wouldn't you have Lightning Web, anyway? I didn't tell you to come here before the Jungle... anyway, equip it, and position X so that he's facing away from the door (or towards the spikes) and his left toe is just touching the rectangle shape painted on the platform he is on. Jump up, shoot the web, then Dash Jump over to the web and wall jump off of it, and then wall jump off of the platform above it. I reccomend you Wall Jump off and over the first capsule and take the capsule behind it, the Plasma Shot, but it's really up to you... But come on, take the Plasma Shot. You can change later, if you don't like it... Anyway, jump back down the chasm, and go through the door. Be prepared for a sub boss... With the Plasma Shot, this fight is a sinch. Just charge up a shot and blast the eye with it, and when the eye closes, dispatch the guns the same way. It's the same deal with or without the Plasma Shot, but PS makes it easier. Continue up the ladders, and prepare for a boss fight. BOSS FIGHT - Storm Owl WEAPON - Double Cyclone He left with a space fortress to conquer the air. WITH X BUSTER Like always, charge a shot before the battle begins. Jump up and shoot him when the battle begins. If he flys from left to right and back, he's probably aiming to pick you up and slam you down. Be careful, and take shots when you can. Dash to avoid such a technique. When he comes from the bottom (and doesn't stop) he'll try to dive kick you. Jump over him to avoid it. When he comes from the bottom and stops, he'll try shooting you with something. With the Plasma Shot, you'll destroy these things before they can get to you. Without the Plasma Shot, you're gonna take some hits. He can also initiate this attack from above. This is a harder battle to complete with the X-Buster, and I reccomend against it. WITH AIMING LASER Simple. Lock onto him, fire, and he'll fly off screen. Rinse and repeat. FOR THE NEXT STAGE... HARD - Military Train EASY - Volcano +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ MEMORIAL HALL +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I hope you have the LEG ENHANCEMENT, and hopefully the Plasma Shot (to make things a bit easier). Charge up a shot during dialouge, as always, and fire it at the start. He'll then slash three times, each time throwing out a wave of energy. You can easily jump over these while firing at him. When he disappears, use the Hover while charging a shot. Don't move. He'll reappear beneath you. You can then drop down and shoot him when he stops moving, or right after he slashes if you're fast enough. Rinse and repeat. If you don't have the Plasma Shot, no big loss. If you don't have Hover, you'll just have to time a jump to avoid his slash when he reappears... again, no big deal. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ MILITARY TRAIN A military train is moving supplies. Cut off Repliforce's supply route. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Destroy the four crates in your way, and Dash Jump to the next car. A pellet shot can take out those pesky hard hat enemies, but it'll take a full Big Shot plus a few pellet shots to take out the mounted turret. Dispatch the three hard hats in your way, and continue on. Dash Jump from the exploding green train to the safer red train, and take care of the bomber bats and hard hats in your way. Another train jumping sequence takes place. Destroy the crates and enemies in your way, and be careful of the turret gun. Keep blasting forward, but watch out for those bomber bats. You can't destroy the blue crate, so Wall Jump up and over it, then continue onwards. Be mindful of the two mounted guns, and be prepared for a mini boss. Two Big Shots will take out a spike. Try to take out the spike (and thing behind it) in the middle first, then the top, and finally the bottom. Be careful of the energy shots that the top of the boss shoots. If that gun is giving you problems, you CAN destroy it... You'll be teleported inside of a tunnel. Continue on towards the blue crate, and Wall Jump over it. Dash forward to the next car, destroying the hard hats that try to block your way. When you come across an enemy in a large robot armor suit, just shoot a couple of Big Shots at it from above and it'll be gone. Go to the next car and dispatch the enemies (including the robot armor suit) from a distance and then continue onward. Be careful of the robot armor suit that'll jump onto your car and attack you. Hop into a suit of your own, and start to cause havoc! Use the jump attack always when in a suit of armor like this, because it is most effective. When on the chain connecting the two cars, jump attack the end of the next car and it'll begin to explode. Do the same for the next car, as well, and be sure to collect the HEART TANK spinning around on the platform. Watch out for the robot armor suit, and continue onto the next train (after destroying it, of course). On the car you can't destroy, Dash Jump while attacking to get through quickly. Destroy the last train you can, and when you reach the end of the line, jump out of your armor by pressing Up + X. Wall Jump onto the celing of the car, and walk forward. Destroy the enemies that come from behind, then get on the ground. Dash Jump to get across the chasms, while destroying enemies in your path, and finally collect the full health tank and hop aboard the car. Dispatch the lone grenade/gunner, and get rid of the troublesome turret guns. Take out the final two gunners, and prepare yourself for the boss... BOSS FIGHT - Slash Beast WEAPON - Twin Slasher He defends the military train to protect the supply of goods. WITH X BUSTER Never, I repeat never, use a pellet shot. Hold Squre during his dialouge, and as soon as the battle starts, blast him. When he jumps into the air, dash under him. Always be charging up a Big Shot. Turn and blast him. It's a key rule to hit him whenever you can. It's hard to tell when he's going to do a back flip and shoot out his Twin Slasher, but it can be avoided by staying near the middle of a wall. When he gets near one wall and puts his hand back, you know he's to dash to the other wall and back with his claw attack. This can be avoided one of two ways... Either stay on one wall and Wall Jump when he collides with your wall, or jump over him as he passes you while you stay in the center of the battle field. You can also Hover over him as he passes. The second and third methods are perfered as you can blast him once or twice with a Big Shot. If he tries to pounce on you, dash under him. If he gets a hold of you, he'll slam you into the wall for major damage. This is a test of your skill with your X Buster, and a bit of a test of your endurance. I warned you, this IS the hard way to do things... WITH GROUND HUNTER Very, very easy. Simply shoot a Ground Hunter at him. He'll get up and try to dash attack wherever you are. But, you'll be ready for him by hanging on the wall. Wall Jump when he collides with your wall, and blast him with another Ground Hunter. Rinse and repeat. FOR THE NEXT STAGE... EASY - Volcano (for the BODY ENHANCEMENT) and then Spaceport HARD - Volcano +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ VOLCANO Dragoon of the 14th unit is a traitor. Locate and bring him back to hunter H.Q. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Go forward, and dash. Jump over any enemies that you can, and Dash Jump past all the platforms while avoiding being clobbered by the fireballs. When you get to solid ground, watch out for a few enemies and the jet of magma that shoots out of the ground. Avoid the next jet, and jump the chasm. Charge up a shot, avoid the jet, and blow away a missile launching enemy. Jump the next two chasms, and when the level starts to shake, use the overhangs on the upper left side of the screen for cover against the fireballs. Destroy the door at the end of the road and teleport to area 2. Dash Jump past the platforms, while being careful not to be hit as it will probably cause you to fall into the chasm. Charge up a shot, and blow away the robot armor suit on the platform after the health. Bust out your trusty Lightning Web, and shoot it towards the platform on the upper left side of your screen. Dash/Wall Jump off of the web to obtain the HEART TANK. Beware, the robot armor suit will be back again. Continue on to the right, with a charged shot ready, and blow up the missile launching enemy. Get another charged shot ready and kill the next one, too. Hop in the robot ride armor, and if you possess both the ARM ENHANCEMENT and Twin Slasher, Dash Jump to the right while holding up, and then dismount from your armor and wall jump upwards. Charge up your Twin Slasher and fire it at the rocks to destroy them, and get the BODY ENHANCEMENT. After that, hop back in your robot ride armor. Continue on, dispatching enemies in robot ride armor like you, until you come to a overhang. Go under it, and dash while pressing Square to destroy the bricks in your way. Prepare to fight... BOSS FIGHT - Magma Dragoon WEAPON - Rising Fire He betrayed the irregular hunters and hid himself inside a volcano. WITH X BUSTER Hopefully, you came in with your robot ride armor. If not, prepare for a fight more grueling than that with Slash Beast. Charge up a shot during the dialouge, and release it when the fight begins. If he rears back, with his head up and mouth open, then begin to Hover if you can. If not, dash to the left and Wall Jump on the wall, to keep up on the wall. If you Hover or Wall Jump, his fire won't hit you. If he raises his fist in the air and screams, and a fire ball lobs forward, he's about to uppercut forward. Dash under him if he jumps over to the other side of the screen. All the while, get as many Big Shots in as possible. He can also uppercut without much warning. If he bends over and holds his hands back, he's about to throw some fire balls at you, in a high-low-high type combo. Jump over them if you can and shoot him in between his shots. He can also throw a fire ball into one side of the lava or the other, causing it to jet upwards. Don't be caught on that side when it happens. Good luck! WITH DOUBLE CYCLONE Easy! EASY! Just shoot him with Double Cyclone, and he'll jump to the other side of the field. Shoot him again, and he'll jump again. Simple, no? FOR THE NEXT STAGE... BOTH DIFFICULTIES - Go to the Jungle, and get the HEART TANK mentioned, then go to the Snow Base. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ SNOW BASE We've discovered a hidden snow base. Halt production of their new weapon. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Dash/Wall Jump up the wall on your left, and then Dash Jump to the wall on your right. Get to the top of it, and kill the two snowmen robots. Collect the two life capsules, and use either Lightning Web to get up to the next platform, or a carefully timed and executed Dash/Wall Jump. Get up there, charge up a shot, and kill the large monkey and the snowman while collecting the extra life and life capsules. Jump off the ledge and go to the left, charge shot ready, and take out the monkey. Be careful, you'll probably fall right on top of him. Wait for an ice ladder to appear, and go up it. Get onto solid ground, and shoot a Rising Fire upwards. A HEART TANK should fall either next to you or on you. Now go back right, dispatching the monkey again, and get to the platform at the top right. (Could take a while with all the disappearing ice platforms.) Kill the snowman and continue on. Dash Jump over the spikes and take care of the next two snowmen. When you get to the ice ramp, just keep Dash Jumping until you reach the wall. Equip your Lightning Web, and Wall Jump up the wall. When you get near the top, fire your Web, and Dash/Wall Jump off of it and onto the platform above to acquire the EX TANK. Go back down, and keep Dashing to quickly get to the end of the ice ramp. Take out the monkey and get your health. Go down and take out the monkey and the few snowmen, and continue ever onward. For the next part (with the rising ice platforms) just keep to the right. Go through the door for a mini boss. This guy isn't very hard, and don't worry about getting hurt as Area 2 is just ahead. You can use either Rising Fire or Big Shots to take care of this enemy. Stick to the top segment, and destroy the ice cubes with a Big Shot. Keep going until you reach a pit filled in with ice cubes. Watch out for the bomb on the right side, and one just below the ledge, but destroy all the cubes and hop down. For the next part, try not to fall down into the pit. Keep to the upper right, until you get to the second platform with solid ground. Before you jump the chasm, get on the highest spot and destroy the row of highest cubes to let the W-TANK fall down. Collect it, and move on. Keep moving until you see the bird with light around it; take him out first. Take all four of those birds out first, in fact. Just keep going on until you reach the boss doors... BOSS FIGHT - Frost Walrus WEAPON - Frost Tower He protects the secret weapon which lies in the snow base. WITH X BUSTER Charge up your shot, like always. Jump up and release as the fight begins. Fire one more Big Shot as he walks towards you. He'll probably slam his fists together, and jump towards you. Dash under him, and he'll then begin walking towards you again. Nail him with two more Big Shots. He might jump at you again, in which case you should dash under him. Or, he could slide towards you, in which case you should Dash Jump over him. You could also Dash/Wall Jump over him. He'll beging walking, so fire two more... Yadda yadda. Another thing you should look out for is when he fires off multiple ice cicles out of his shoulders. Dodge them as they (slowly) fall to the ground. Make sure you watch out for them until he Dashs over them and destroys them. Lastly, he may begin creating a large ice crystal which he'll drop to the ground. Have a charged shot ready, becasue when it drops, it'll shatter and fire in multiple directions. Fire at the shards to destroy them. WITH RISING FIRE Easy. Sort of. When you use Rising Fire, his tusks will melt away, and he'll be shot back into the wall. He'll then slide forward, and either start walking or creating large ice crystals in the air which will fall to the ground. Either way, just keep up the heavy fire with Rising Fire (buwhahah!) and he'll be dead in no time. FOR THE NEXT STAGE... BOTH DIFFICULTIES - Marine Base. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ MARINE BASE Repliforce decimated the city and left. Pursue them aboard a Land Chaser. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Your success on this level will depend largely on your skill, not my walkthrough. In any case, get near the left side of the screen and start tapping Sqaure. You'll destroy an enemy bike. Whee! Watch out for the three flying enemies, and another bike, and then more flying enemies. It'd probably be smart to jump and shoot to take care of those pesky things. Watch out for even more enemies, and bombs that are on the road. Jump over the first chasm, but watch out for the bombs. (From here on in, I won't warn you of enemies... just bombs.) Jump at the second chasm, and again, watch for the bombs. At the third chasm, DO NOT JUMP! I repeat, DO NOT JUMP! Okay, instead, hold down the right directional button. You'll make it to the lower platform, where you collect a valuable HEART TANK. Yay! Jump as soon as you hear the sound that you collected it, and continue on. Jump the next chasm, and fire your gun. Keep firing, to destroy two more wall things. When you get to the "bridge" portion, try to jump over the "bridges" as they'll explode. When you get to the next cement wall, jump and dash through it while holding the dash button. You should make it to the end of the first area. At the ledge, jump to avoid the bombs. You'll soon run into more bombs, so be prepared. When Jet Stingray appears, jump and dash into him to get him to go away. When you land, you'll probably hit some bombs, but that's okay. Shoot to kill some enemies that will block your path, and jump over the spikey balls. Jump over the platform to avoid dying, and while you're at it, jump over the next one. At the top of the ramp is a row of bombs, and at the bottom of the ledge is a row of spikey balls. Eek. Try not to take too much damage, and continue on. When Jet Stingray appears, try to Jump/Dash into him again. Continue on, under the first platform, under the one with a box, and under the next overhang. Either shoot out the boxes or jump onto the platform, and continue on. At the next ledge, jump, and at the end of the platform, do a Jump Dash while holding the right directional button and circle. You should get an E-TANK, and land at the end of the stage! BOSS FIGHT - Jet Stingray WEAPON - Ground Hunter He destroyed the city and escaped to the sea. WITH X BUSTER Hmph. You people are crazy. The only fight you may need to fight with the X-Buster is Slash Beast's! Anyway, charge up a Big Shot before the fight begins, like usual. Jump up and let loose your lil' suprise. If he flies upward, and doesn't stop, be prepared to jump. He'll swoop back down, scraping the bottom of the sea floor at about the middle of the room. Jump over him to avoid him. If he stops at the top, he'll shoot out a series of blue ground hunters, which will fly to the end of the screen, crawl down the wall, and then crawl towards you. Destroy them or jump over them. He'll swoop down when he's done shooting, so be careful. A good way to avoid his swoop is to hover over him, and a good way to destroy those pesky hunters is to be on the opposite wall of him, Wall Jumping to be at about the same height, and firing off Big Shots. If he sinks into the sea, he'll try to suck you near him. Keep dashing the opposite way to avoid this, but be ready. He'll then charge at you. It's easy to avoid, just Wall Jump up on the wall and you're safe. Once his health gets into the yellow zone, he'll fire Red ground hunters, which will go down into the sea wherever you're standing. However, this should not be a problem if you are on the opposite wall, firing Big Shots as mentioned above. If he ever flies upward instead of swooping towards you after firing his Ground Hunters, he's about to come from the top of the screen down (wherever you are) and from the bottom up (again, wherever you are). Try to stay low the first time and high the second time, so you can react better. Just keep repeating these stratagies to win. WITH FROST TOWER Simple. Just go up to him, jump up, activate Frost Tower, and he'll be frozen. He'll escape his icy cage and fly upwards. Jump up as he comes down, activate it again, rinse and repeat. FOR THE NEXT STAGE... HARD - Spaceport EASY - Military Train ===================================================================== CHECKPOINT!!! ===================================================================== Do you have every item you can collect? The eight HEART TANKS, two E-TANKS, one EX-TANK, one W-TANK, and the four ENHANCEMENTS? If not, here are the locations of everything. HEART TANKS: For these, I'll say the area that they are in. Please refer to the stage walkthrough to precisely locate and collect them. Jungle - Area 2 Cyber Space - Area 1 Air Force - Area 1 Volcano - Area 2 Marine Base - Area 1 Bio Laboratory - Area 2 Military Train - Area 2 Snow Base - Area 1 TANKS: The two E-TANKS, one EX-TANK, and one W-TANK. Same as above, refer to the stage walkthrough to find them. Cyber Space - Area 1 (E-TANK) Snow Base - Area 1 (EX TANK), Area 2 (W-TANK) Marine Base - Area 2 (E-TANK) ENHANCEMENTS: I'll tell you exactly where to get these. C'mon, say "Yay" with me. Jungle - After the first pit in Area 1, you'll have a choice to fall down the ledge on the left or go right. Go right to find the capsule for the LEG ENHANCEMENT. Volcano - You MUST have the ARM ENHANCEMENT and Twin Slasher. In Area 2, right when you get your Robot Ride armor, Dash Jump up and to the right, while holding Up. Then, when you get near the ledge, press jump again (while still holding up) to get out of your armor. Wall Jump up onto the platform, charge up Twin Slasher, break the rocks, and get the BODY ENHANCEMENT. Cyber Space - In Area 1, get an S Rank on the third and final "race" segment. You'll be awarded with the HEAD ENHANCEMENT. Tip - Use Soul Body. Air Force - You MUST have Lightning Web. In Area 2, after riding the moving platform across the spikes and jumping up on solid ground, allign yourself so that you are facing towards the platform, and your left toe is just at the tip of the rectangle painted on the ground. Jump, fire Lightning Web, and then Dash Jump over to it. Wall Jump off of it and onto the platform above, and quickly Wall Jump to solid ground up there. To get the Plasma Shot, you'll need to go past the icky, icky Charge Shot capsule. Now that you have everything, to complete your preparations for the final levels, you COULD go back to Snow Base Area 2, and destroy all the regenerating enemies to easily collect some life and weapon tanks to fill up your E-TANKS and W-TANK. Now, report to the Spaceport, SOL-JUH! +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ SPACEPORT +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ A very straight forward stage. In fact, all of the final stages, for the most part, are straight forward. Anywho. This level is jam packed with grenaders. Go right, destroy the first grenader, then destroy the one on the lower platform. Jump onto the lower platform, then on to solid ground, by Dash Jumping to avoid that annoying guard type guy. Anywho, for the next section, take the upper platforms so that you can jump over the guard on solid ground at the end. You'll then encounter some of those shield enemies. Just slide past them, and continue on. Watch out for those flying spiked wheels. At the end, jump on the high platform (duh) and continue onwards into another "building". Climb up all the ladders, until there are no more ladders to climb. Wall Jump up the wall on the left to collect some life, and go to the right to fight with the Colonel. BOSS FIGHT - Colonel WEAPON - Light Saber. Whee! There isn't really a weapon that works on the Colonel, so I like to use my trusty X-Buster. Charge up the shot, as always, before the fight. Release it as the fight begins. This fight isn't too much different than before. His waves when he slashes will be slightly faster, but that's about it. You can't shoot in between the waves now because they're just too fast. Sometimes, he'll stand in the middle of the screen and call out "Energy Breaker!". This attack is easy to dodge. Just find an opening between the electrical currents in the ground, and shoot at the Colonel while you can. Finding an opening can be achieved through Hovering. When he disappears, make sure you still Hover while charging a shot (as before) and drop down right after he slashes to nail him. Once his health starts to get low, he may also jump up in the air and use an attack he calls "Ground Breaker". Easy. Jump over it. This fight should give you no problems. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ FINAL WEAPON - 1 +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Straight forward, quick stage. Always have a charged shot ready, and blast away at the enemies as they come. You're at the boss fight before you know it. BOSS FIGHT - Double WEAPON - Predictable plot twist, annoying voice, and cliched dialouge. WITH X BUSTER Charge up a shot before the fight begins. Do I really have to say that? Then again, do I really have to write a step by step guide for the levels...? Hmph. Anyway. Fire it as the fight begins. For one attack, he'll yell out "Destroy" and throw a large, slow moving ball of blue energy at you. Quite easy to avoid. Then, his next attack, which sounds like "Deva Slash" or something, is a bit harder to avoid. He'll jump into the air, at either the top-right of the screen or the top left(?), and then slash diagonally downwards away from his corner of the screen, and then towards wherever you are. To avoid, Dash under him, then Wall Jump up the wall to avoid the second part of the attack. It takes a bit of quickness. You can also get as far away from him as possible, and just stay up on the wall. Heck, that strategy works for the whole battle. A variation of "Deva Slash" is when he doesn't throw out that ball. He'll slash straight down, then diagonally up and towards you. Using the previous strategy of staying on the wall works, but some may find it easier to get away from him (like, on the opposite side of the screen) and dash under him as he comes. He may start using another attack. In this attack, he'll levatate just above the ground, and grunt, then throw out a large crescent wave of energy, one low and one high. To avoid the low one, stay on the opposite wall of him and just wall jump to the top. To avoid the high one, jump down from the wall and dash under it. If he throws them high, then low, just dash under the high one and Wall Jump to avoid the low one. Rinse and repeat these stratigies to win. WITH DOUBLE CYCLONE I reccomend against this. If you hit him with Double Cyclone, you will damage him more, but not by much. Once you hit him, however, two things fly out of him, and stay near the top of the stage. They then fire lasers at you. If you wish to use Double Cyclone and fight him, just follow the advice above. This is a harder way to go... +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ FINAL WEAPON - 2 +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ This level begins right after the Double fight. Watch out for the two large shield enemies, climb up the ladder, and fall down the pit. Dash Jump up onto the platform, dispatch the enemies, and get up on the next platform (and dispatch more enemies). Go to the right slightly, so that you can see the missile launching enemy, and kill him. Jump down the ledge, then slide down the next ledge, and as soon as you can, Air Dash to the right. Now, slide down the next ledge, and Wall Jump off it, then air dash to the right and get in the robot ride armor (with the gun, yay!). Charge up a homing missile shot to dispatch the flying enemies, then Hover, and charge up another shot. Go right, kill the missile launching guy, and continue on. Your hover should still (hopefully) be activated. Dispatch the next missile guy, get on the platform, hover again, go to the right, and jump out of your armor and onto the upper platform to collect some health and go through the door. Yay, boss fight time. BOSS FIGHT - General WEAPONS - Obeasity, horrible case of leporsy/arthriteis in the wrists WITH X BUSTER TO DAMAGE HIM, YOU MUST HIT HIS HEAD Charge up a shot, yadda yadda. He can do one of two things, but what he does doesn't matter right now. Go the left wall, and Wall Jump up it. Fire off your shot. If he flies upward a bit, it means he's going to shoot his hands out at you, so drop down to the floor. He'll shoot his hands out so that they're a bit lower than usual, but don't get on them. Star Wall Jumping, and firing off Big Shots towards his head. Stay in the upper left corner to fire, this is the best place to hit him. You'll know if you hit him because his health'll go down. It'll be easy, because the upper hand is too low to interfere. Don't worry about what he shoots towards you, just slide down the wall to evade. If he flies downward a bit, it means he'll start to fly toward you, so stay slightly above him while firing Big Shots. This is best done by Wall Jumping on the left wall. You'll only be damaged if you hit his elbow area. Anyway, those are the two attacks he uses so just use my stratigies for an easy fight. WITH TWIN SLASHER The same as above, without having to charge up shots. You might need to jump on his hands to damage him with the Twin Slasher, however. To evade the blue energy circles, just jump over them. I perfer to fight this guy with my X-Buster. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ FINAL WEAPON - 3 You have a chance to refill your E-TANKS and such, so take it if you need to. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Incredibly straight forward and short level. You'll have to fight all of the Maverick Bosses over again, so come prepared. With X, this is no problem. Refer to the stratigies above. However, if someone emails me and complains about having to scroll up to find out how to kill the bosses, I'll move the stratigies down here as well. Health Weapon Web Spider Magma Dragoon Cyber Peacock Storm Owl Sigma Jet Stingray Frost Walrus Split Musroom Slash Beast After all the bosses are defeated, head into the Gold Teleporter. Go right, talk with Sigma, and go through the doors for a boss fight. BOSS FIGHT - Reaper Sigma WEAPONS - Arcane necromancer magic of reincarnation (He's in every damn X game...) WITH RISING FIRE This fight can't be done with the X Buster. When he appears above you, shoot him with Rising Fire. He'll appear above you again, so shoot him again. Wall Jump up the left wall, and Dash Jump over Sir Sigma as he comes by. Then get back down. He'll appear above you twice more, and then do that attack again, then twice more, then attack... Get it? BOSS FIGHT - Sigma WEAPONS - Scythe, LASER DEATH EYES OF DESTRUCTION AND DOOM!!!!!!!! WITH X BUSTER As always, shoot him with a Big Shot before the fight begins, and use nothing but Big Shots. He'll jump up and throw his scythe at you. In fact, this is all he will do... Pretty much. Wall Jump up on either wall, and stick near the top. When the scythe closes about half of the distance between you and it, slide down. It should stick into the wall. Get to the opposite wall before Sigma (if possible) and Wall Jump up. Slide down and blast him in the back, then Wall Jump back up, slide down once more and blast him once more. Rinse and repeat. If the scythe ever lands in the ground, you'll be pretty much screwed. WITH LIGHTNING WEB Same as above, without charged shots. You can use the Lightning Web to Wall Jump over Sigma if he gets between you and the opposite wall. BOSS FIGHT - Alien Sigma and Scarey Head Sigma WEAPONS - ULTIMATE DEATH RAY OF DOOM!!!!! And/or powerful sucking and blowing action. Quick note. His attack pattern is as follows. COLORED HEADS Blue Head - The other two heads will line up on the left side of the screen, and the Blue Head will slowly advance forward while spewing water on the ground. Easy to avoid/destroy. Wall Jump on the other heads, and fire Big Shots until this sucker dies. Red Head - A bit harder to avoid than the blue one. The other two heads will line up on the right side of the room, and the Red Head will be on the left side. It'll fire four small waves of fire towards you, their height dependant upon where you are. Try to avoid the flames, if you can, or destroy the Red Head, which is probably a better way to go. Yellow Head - The hardest to avoid, in my opinion. The Yellow Head (of doom) will align itself top-middle, with the other two heads on either side of the screen, in the bottom corner. It'll fire balls of electricity toward you, creating electrical currents whever they land. If they land on the side wall, they will create bolts of electricity that travel up and down the wall for a few seconds. If they land on the floor, the same will happen, except the bolts travel left and right. Try to destroy the Yellow Head quickly. SCAREY HEAD SIGMA Sucking Action - He'll suck in a lot of junk, including you. It's hard to tell when he'll initiate this attack. The Yellow Head will be right above him, and a spiked Blue Head will be to the right of him. After he finishes sucking, he'll blow out all the junk, excluding you. Blowing Action - He'll attempt to blow you away into the side wall, where spikes of doom await you. Dash towards him repeatedly, and pray. ALIEN SIGMA Death Ray - He'll say "The End" and then shoot a death ray across the floor. Jump up on the heads to the left, and fire at him (or do a suicide jump with Soul Body). Other Ray - The Blue Head will be closer in this time. He'll shoot a few rays towards wherever you are, and then go away again. COLORED HEADS SCAREY HEAD SIGMA ALIEN SIGMA... and so on. WITH X BUSTER I hate you people... forcing me to fight him with the X Buster... NOTE: THE COLORED HEAD STRATIGIES ARE ABOVE. When SHD (Scarey Head Sigma) uses Sucking Action, try to avoid being sucked in. Then, while he pauses to blow out his junk, shoot him with a Plasma Shot. It'll destroy the Junk before it ever comes out! Yay. If he uses Blowing Action, Dash at him while firing your Big Shots. When AS (Alien Sigma) uses Death Ray, Wall Jump up on the heads on the left, and fire a Plasma Shot at him. When he uses Other Ray, jump up on the Blue Head and fire at him. Then, when he shoots towards the Blue Head, Wall Jump on the Yellow one, slide slightly, and fire while sliding, then Wall Jump some more. You can then jump back down to the Blue Head, and so on and so forth. Good luck, this fight sucks with an X-Buster. Actually, it just sucks. WITH SOUL BODY/GROUND HUNTER Same as above, except instead of charged shots, you should use Ground Hunter on SHD, and Soul Body on AS. This makes the fight a lot easier, in my opinion. After you destroy Sigma, YOU WIN! Woo. =*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*= +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ 4) WALKTHROUGH FOR ZERO +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Yay, Zero's game. I like his better. Anywho. Same Hard/Easy dealy, only this time you won't have to revisit ANY stages. Cool, no? +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ SKY LAGOON A very, very easy opening stage. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Walk forward while continually doing a jump attack. You won't be touched. You will soon come upon a flying dragon and a stone wall. You can dispatch the dragon by slashing its hands or you can just skip him and jump over the stone walls that get in your way. Dash jumping works best for this. At the end, you will come across a stone wall that must be destroyed. Watch out for the dragon if you didn't dispatch him, and destroy the wall. Use a Combo for the vehicular enemy. Dash until you're right next to the grenading enemies, and slash twice to dispatch them. BOSS FIGHT - King Dragon HEALTH - 10 Jump Attacks Take this fight right to his throat. Jump Attacks work best. Do not let up, show this dragon thing who's boss, baby! FOR THE NEXT STAGE... HARD - Bio Labratory EASY - Jungle +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ BIO LABRATORY The abandoned lab is now operational. Investigate and destroy the lab. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Start walking forward while. Wait for the first enemy to lift its shield, then blow it away with your Combo. Continue, then destroy the next shiled enemy. Go forward, and dispatch three bomber bats. After the third, continue forward, and dispatch the shield enemy. Walk forward, and the enemy will appear. Go onto the right most platform, When the enemy stops, head onto the next platform, turn, Combo like crazy when he comes up, and do it until he goes down. Rinse and repeat, by always staying on the right most platform. If you find the right most platform to also be the left most, then jump up onto the top left platform. When he stops, hop down to the left most platform, and Combo Attack him as he comes up. Jump up and pound him with, Jump Attacks and keep slashing until he is out of range. If you didn't kill him, then you're pretty much screwed. Continue left... Hm. Stairs again? Boo. For this section, it's usually best to just dash forward as much as you can while destroying enemies in front of you. For the most part, don't stop until you reach the teleporter. When you're teleported, prepare yourself for a tricky spot (if you want the HEART TANK, that is...) Head to the right, and let the left platform fall a bit (leave about a Zero's heigth between the platform's edge and the celing). BOSS FIGHT - Split Mushroom WEAPON - Kuuenbu/Kuuenzan He occupies the laboratory and will attack whoever visits there. WITHOUT RAIJINGEKI Dash towards Split Mushroom while he's on the ground, turn around, jump up, and slash like a mad man. Continue doing so until the first clone thingy jumps towards you. Wall Jump off the left wall and slash Mushroom. Do it until he clones himself once more. This clone will be a full clone, so watch yourself. Try to chase the real Split around, and Jump Attack him whenever you can. Preety soon, he'll begin to spin around. He (and his clone) will jump from one side of the arena to the other, and then fall to the ground. To avoid this, get close to him (but not too close) while he's spinning, and just let him jump over you. You can Combo him as he spins, too. They'll then begin thier dashing once more. Chase him around s'more. After that, it's more spinning. You should be able to kill him by this phase. WITH RAIJINGEKI A bit easier. Refer to the above, except you have to do one thing differently. Stay on the opposite side of the screen as the two dashing fools, and Raijingeki him whenever you can. He'll probably change the way he dashes, so change where you are. Then Raijingeki s'more. He won't spin, to my knowledge. FOR THE NEXT STAGE... BOTH DIFFICULTIES - Volcano +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ VOLCANO Dragoon of the 14th unit is a traitor. Combo attack the robot armor suit on the platform after the health. Kuuenbu toward the upper left side of your screen. Dash/Wall Jump off of the edge to obtain the HEART TANK. Beware, the robot armor suit will be back again. Continue on to the right, with a charged shot ready, and blow up the missile launching enemy. Get another charged shot ready and kill the next one, too. Hop in the robot ride armor, and continue on, dispatching enemies in robot ride armor like you, until you come to a overhang. Go under it, and dash while pressing Square to destroy the bricks in your way. Prepare to fight... BOSS FIGHT - Magma Dragoon WEAPON - Ryuenjin He betrayed the irregular hunters and hid himself inside a volcano. Hopefully, you came in with your robot ride armor. If not, I pity you. If he rears back, with his head up and mouth open, then Dash Jump to the opposite wall as him. Cling to the wall for dear life. The fire shouldn't touch you. It's possible to get behind him and Combo him about three times while he does this. If he raises his fist in the air and screams, and a fire ball lobs forward, he's about to uppercut forward. Dash under him if he jumps over to the other side of the screen. All the while, get as many Jump Attacks and Combos in as possible. He can also uppercut without much warning. If he bends over and holds his hands back, he's about to throw some fire balls at you, in a high-low-high type combo. Jump over them if you can slash him after the shots. He can also throw a fire ball into one side of the lava or the other, causing it to jet upwards. Don't be caught on that side when it happens. He also has a diaganol downward kick he uses. Good luck! FOR THE NEXT STAGE... EASY - Jungle (HEART TANK) then Cyber Space HARD - Jungle +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ JUNGLE Infiltrate enemy occupied jungle and destroy the weapon under construction. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Dash Jump to the right, and dispatch the three manta rayish enemies as they appear. Then, take out the spear wielding mer-man-beast thing with a Combo Attack or two. Continue on, killing the manta as it appears, and slide down the waterfall. Stick to the left side to evade most enemies, and at the bottom, dash into the pit in the center of the floor. Climb up the series of ladders, dispatching the pike-men with some slashes as you hang onto the rungs of the ladder. When you see a bee's "nest", use a few Jump Attacks to be rid of it.. Charge up another shot, continue on and destroy the next nest. destroy another nest... and destroy another nest... Then continue onwards. Climb down the two ladders, and collect the health on your left. Wall Jump up to the platform at the top of your screen, and continue forward. If the electric web blocks your way, kill the spiders that come out. Anyway, continue forward, and up. If you'll take a moment to look at the wood on the right side of your screen, you'll be happy to know you can destroy it with Ryuenjin and collect a HEART TANK. Continue upward and onward, dispatching spiders and snakes. When you fall to the ground charge up a Big Shot and continue. Blow up the nest, then continue past the two webs and prepare for a boss fight. BOSS FIGHT - Web Spider WEAPON - Raijingeki He protects the secret weapon of the Jungle. There's a number of ways to avoid the webs he shoots at you, my favorite way is to just dash jump over them. You can also Wall Jump over them. Slash him with Jump Attacks when you can. This part is easy. When you take his health down by about 1/2, he'll create a large web in which he'll crawl around. Stay on one side of the screen (or dash under him to the other side) and Jump Attack away. He'll still shoot webs, but he'll also release four spiders, two on either side. They'll hunt you down, so be careful. The best way to take care of them is with a Combo, or Kuuenzan as they come out of Web Spider's hatch. This boss isn't too hard... Just be careful. FOR THE NEXT STAGE... EASY - Bio Labratory HARD - Cyber Space +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ CYBER SPACE A bug has corrupted the network. Dive into cyberspace and exterminate it. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Once you step on the pannel, hurry towards the exit. Get there before the square says "HURRY UP!" below you again. As long as it doesn't finish saying it, you should get a "Rank S" and be awarded a One-Up. Take out circle things with Kuuenzan. Continue forward. After the pannel, stick to the lower path. Just Kuuenzan whatever appears, and dash foward. You should reach the end in no time. For your efforts, you'll get a HEART TANK. Head ever onward. A helpful tip - When you see a portal open, and a blue, round thing coming out of it, just dash under the portal and continue onward. Get to the end as fast as you can, and achieve an S Rank so that you can get the E-TANK Continue forward to be teleported... Okay, the races are over. Head forward, taking care of enemies as they come. Be sure to step on all the yellow buttons to flip the stage around. If you want to blaze through this part, you can just use Kuuenzan. BOSS FIGHT - Cyber Peacock WEAPON - Rakuhouha He lives in cyberspace and wants to destroy the network system. WITHOUT RYUENJIN If you're fighting Cyber Peacock without Ryuenjin, you're either insane, or here at the wrong time. Anywho, thank the heavens for me, right? Walk forward until Peacock appears, Kuuenzan him, and Dash away. If he just shoots upwards into the sky, then consider yourself lucky and begin walking back and forth between the walls. However, he may shoot his feathers out at you (which is why you must dash). If you find yourself cornered, jump up on the wall. Otherwise, he'll nail you. These are (to the extent of my knowledge) the only attacks he'll perform while appearing on the ground. However, if he appears in the air, abandon hope of hitting him for a while. Your priority is to dodge the heat seeking missiles he shoots, which is a tough task. I highly reccomend that you dash over to the opposite wall and jump up onto it. You can Wall Jump over the first missile, and Dash Jump over the rest while Kuuenzaning. It's a pretty tough fight... WITH RYUENJIN When he appears, Ryuenjin him. Yay. FOR THE NEXT STAGE... BOTH DIFFICULTIES - Air Force +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ MEMORIAL HALL +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Yay, FMV. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ AIR FORCE The Repliforce ship has taken off. Pursue and blast it out of the air. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ This stage is quite fun. Head right, and Kuuenzan the big blue ship till it dies. Do the same for the next blue ship. Go forward, and use Raijingeki on the door to take out both the door and the robot thingy. Continue forward and destroy the enemies before they can fire. Ride the platform over the spikes, and jump up onto the next platform. Go through the door. Be prepared for a sub boss... With Ryuenjin, this fight is a joke. Just Ryuenjin the eye, and when the eye closes, dispatch the guns with Kuuenzan. If you don't have Ryuenjin, use Kuuenzan. Continue up the ladders, and prepare for a boss fight. BOSS FIGHT - Storm Owl WEAPON - Tenkuuha He left with a space fortress to conquer the air. WITHOUT RAKUHOUHA Jump up and Kuuenzan him as the fight begins. If he flys from left to right and back, he's probably aiming to pick you up and slam you down. Be careful, and slash when you can. Dash to avoid such a technique. When he comes from the bottom (and doesn't stop) he'll try to dive kick you. Jump over him to avoid it. When he comes from the bottom and stops, he'll try shooting you with something. With Kuuenzan, you can easily destroy these things before they can get to you. Without He can also initiate this attack from above. This is a harder battle to complete without Rakuhouha, and I reccomend against it. WITH RAKUHOUHA Simple. Right when he's about to touch you, press R2. Rinse and repeat until you can't use Rakuhouha again, and start Kuuenzaning. FOR THE NEXT STAGE... HARD - Snow Base EASY - Volcano +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ SNOW BASE We've discovered a hidden snow base. Collect the two life capsules, and use either Kuuenbu to get up to the next platform, or a carefully timed and executed Dash/Wall J ump. Get up there and kill the large monkey and the snowman while collecting the extra life and life capsules. Jump off the ledge and go to the left, charge shot ready, and take out the monkey. Be careful, you'll probably fall right on top of him. Wait for an ice ladder to appear, and go up it. Get onto solid ground, and use Ryuenjin. Wall Jump up the wall. When you get near the top, Kuuenbu onto the ledge, and Jump off of it and onto the platform above to acquire the EX TANK. You can use either Ryuenjin or Kuuenzan to take care of this enemy. Stick to the top segment, and destroy the ice cubes with a Kuuenzan. WITHOUT RYUENJIN Jump up and Kuuenzan him as the fight begins. Keep up with Kuuenzan as he walks towards you. He'll take two steps, then he'll probably slam his fists together, and jump towards you. Dash under him, and he'll then begin walking towards you again. Nail him with some more Kuuenzan. He might jump at you again, in which case you should dash under him. Or, he could slide towards you, in which case you should Dash Jump over him. You could also Dash/Wall Jump over him. He'll begin walking, so more Kuuenzan... Be ready, becasue when it drops, it'll shatter and fire in multiple directions. Kuuenzan to avoid. WITH RYUENJIN Easy. Sort of. When you use Ryuenjin, his tusks will melt away, and he'll be shot back into the wall. He'll then slide forward, and either start walking or creating large ice crystals in the air which will fall to the ground. Either way, just keep up the heavy fire with Ryuenjin and he'll be dead in no time. BOSS FIGHT - Jet Stingray WEAPON - Hienkyaku He destroyed the city and escaped to the sea. WITHOUT HYOURETSUZAN Jump up and let loose with your Kuuenzan. If he flies upward, and doesn't stop, be prepared to jump. He'll swoop back down, scraping the bottom of the sea floor at about the middle of the room. Kuuenbu over him to avoid him, while Kuuenzaning as well. If he stops at the top, he'll shoot out a series of blue ground hunters, which will fly to the end of the screen, crawl down the wall, and then crawl towards you. Destroy them or jump over them. He'll swoop down when he's done shooting, so be careful. A good way to avoid his swoop is to Kuuenbu over him, and a good way to destroy those pesky hunters is to be on the floor, so you can jump up and Kuuenzan them to oblivion. This could be a problem. Just Kuuenzan as they come. WITH HYOURETSUZAN Simple. Just go up to him, jump up, activate Hyouretsuzan, and he'll be frozen. He'll escape his icy cage and fly upwards. Jump up as he comes down, activate it again, rinse and repeat. FOR THE NEXT STAGE... HARD - Military Train EASY - Military Train +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ MILITARY TRAIN A military train is moving supplies. Cut off Repliforce's supply route. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Destroy the four crates in your way, and Dash Jump to the next car. A single slash can take out those pesky hard hat enemies, but it'll take a couple Kuuenzans or combos for the mounted guns. Ryuenjin comes in very handy, as does Kuuenzan. Try to take out the spike (and thing behind it) in the middle first, then the bottom, and finally the top. When you come across an enemy in a large robot armor suit, just combo it a few times from above and it'll be gone. BOSS FIGHT - Slash Beast WEAPON - Shippuuga He defends the military train to protect the supply of goods. Try to score a Kuuenzan or combo whenever you can. When he jumps into the air, dash under him. Turn and slash him. It's a key rule to hit him whenever you can. It's hard to tell when he's going to do a back flip and shoot out his Twin Slasher, but it can be avoided by staying near the middle of a wall. Tenkuuha, I believe, can destroy the Twin Slasher. When he gets near one wall and puts his hand back, you know he's to dash to the other wall and back with his claw attack. This can be avoided one of two ways... Either stay on one wall and Wall Jump when he collides with your wall, or jump over him as he passes you while you stay in the center of the battle field. The second method is perfered as you can slash him once or twice. If he tries to pounce on you, dash under him. If he gets a hold of you, he'll slam you into the wall for major damage. This is a test of your skill with your Z Saber, and a bit of a test of your endurance. FOR THE NEXT STAGE... EASY - Spaceport HARD - Spaceport ===================================================================== CHECKPOINT!!! ===================================================================== Do you have every item you can collect? The eight HEART TANKS, two E-TANKS, one EX-TANK, and one W-TANK? If not, here are the locations of everything. HEART TANKS: For these, I'll say the area that they are in. Please refer to the stage walkthrough to precisely locate and collect them. Jungle - Area 2 Cyber Space - Area 1 Air Force - Area 1 Volcano - Area 2 Marine Base - Area 1 Bio Laboratory - Area 2 Military Train - Area 2 Snow Base - Area 1 TANKS: The two E-TANKS, one EX-TANK, and one W-TANK. Same as above, refer to the stage walkthrough to find them. Cyber Space - Area 1 (E-TANK) Snow Base - Area 1 (EX TANK), Area 2 (W-TANK) Marine Base - Area 2 (E-TANK) Now that you have everything, to complete your preparations for the final levels, you COULD go back to Snow Base Area 2, and destroy all the regenerating enemies to easily collect some life and weapon tanks to fill up your E-TANKS and W-TANK. Whee! Always Kuuenzan him whenever you can. There isn't really a weapon that works on the Colonel, so I like to use my trusty Z-Saber. Kuuenzan him as the fight begins. He can slash his sword, and the waves when he slashes will be quite fast. They go in a high-low-high pattern, or a low-high-low pattern. Sometimes, he'll stand in the middle of the screen and call out "Energy Breaker!". This attack is easy to dodge. Just find an opening between the electrical currents in the ground, and slash at the Colonel while you can. Raijingeki can work here, too. When he disappears, make sure you Kuuenbu as to avoid a slash that is coming. After the slash, drop down right and nail him. Once his health starts to get low, he may also jump up in the air and use an attack he calls "Ground Breaker". Easy. Jump over it. This fight should give you no problems. ALTERNATIVELY, you can use Hyouretsuzan in place of Kuuenzan. BOSS FIGHT - Iris WEAPON - Ummm... Cooties? WITHOUT RYUENJIN There's not much strategy to this fight. Pound on her till the crystal makes an appearance, then Kuuenbu/Kuuenzan the crystal to death. Once the crystal goes to the ground, Combo twice, then dash like a mad man to the opposite wall, where you Wall Jump to avoid getting creamed. Repeat after rinsing. WITH RYUENJIN There's not much strategy to this fight. Basically, non-stop assault with Ryuenjin before and after the crystal appears. When the crystal goes to the ground, Combo it twice, then dash like a mad man to the opposite wall, where you Wall Jump to avoid getting creamed. Rinse and repeat. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ FINAL WEAPON - 2 +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ This level begins right after the Iris fight. Watch out for the two large shield enemies, climb up the ladder, and go right. Kuuenbu up to the platform, dispatch the missile guy, dispatch the bees, the red destruction beams from Air Force make an appearance, dispatch the missile guy, more Kuuenbu, more bees, more missiles, more red beams, some walker bot things, more Kuuenbu, health tank, boss fight. BOSS FIGHT - General WEAPONS - Obeasity, horrible case of leporsy/arthriteis in the wrists There is no really effective weapon against the General. TO DAMAGE HIM, YOU MUST HIT HIS HEAD He can do one of two things, but what he does doesn't matter right now. Go the left wall, and Wall Jump up it. Wait and see what he does. If he flies upward a bit, it means he's going to shoot his hands out at you, so drop down to the floor. He'll shoot his hands out so that they're a bit lower than usual, so get on them. Get on the highest one. Jump to avoid the blue energy shots, and Kuuenzan him like crazy while the hand is close. More dodging, then more Jump Attacks. If he flies downward a bit, it means he'll start to fly toward you, so stay on the wall. Slide down and slash his head as much as you can, then Wall Jump up and slash some more. You'll only be damaged if you hit his elbow area. Anyway, those are the two attacks he uses so just use my stratigies for an easy fight. With Zero, this is a bit of a pain. BOSS FIGHT - Reaper Sigma WEAPONS - Arcane necromancer magic of reincarnation (He's in every damn X game...) WITH RYUENJIN This fight can't be done without Ryuenjin. When he appears above you, activate Ryuenjin. He'll appear above you again, so use it again. Wall Jump up the left wall, and Dash Jump over Sir Sigma as he comes by. Then get back down. He'll appear above you twice more, and then do that attack again, then twice more, then attack. Get it? BOSS FIGHT - Sigma WEAPONS - Scythe, LASER DEATH EYES OF DESTRUCTION AND DOOM!!!!!!!! As always, try to land a Kuuenzan wherever possible. He'll jump up and throw his scythe at you. In fact, this is all he will do... Pretty much. Wall Jump up on either wall, and stick near the top. When the scythe closes about half of the distance between you and it, slide down. It should stick into the wall. Get to the opposite wall, Kuuenzan Sigma on the way, and Kuuenbu up onto it. Slide down and slash him in the back, then Wall Jump back up, slide down once more and slash him once more. Rinse and repeat. If the scythe ever lands in the ground, you'll be pretty much screwed. Wall Jump on the other heads, and try to just avoid him. If all else fails, try a Ryuenjin.** Yellow Head - The hardest to avoid, in my opinion. A Ryuenjin could do the trick.** SCAREY HEAD SIGMA Sucking Action - He'll suck in a lot of junk, including you. Jump up on the heads to the left. Other Ray - The Blue Head will be closer in this time. He'll shoot a few rays towards wherever you are, and then go away again. COLORED HEADS SCAREY HEAD SIGMA ALIEN SIGMA... and so on. NOTE: THE COLORED HEAD STRATIGIES ARE ABOVE. When SHD (Scarey Head Sigma) uses Sucking Action, try to avoid being sucked in. Then, while he pauses to blow out his junk, Combo attack him like mad. It'll probably destroy the Junk before it ever comes out! Yay. If he uses Blowing Action, Dash toward him. When AS (Alien Sigma) uses Death Ray, Wall Jump up on the heads on the left, and use Kuuenzan on him. When he uses Other Ray, jump up on the Blue Head and use 'smore Kuuenzan. Then, when he shoots towards the Blue Head, Wall Jump on the Yellow one, and stay there. You can then jump back down to the Blue Head, and so on and so forth. Ryuenjin is a good choice for those of us who aren't so proud.* Good luck, after you destroy Sigma, YOU WIN! Woo. **THANKS TO DRY31 for mentioning this. *THANKS TO CXT for mentioning this tip. =*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*= +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ 5) SECRETS +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ (Aquired off of GameWinner's code section) BLACK ZERO: At the character select screen, highlight Zero. A: Depends. X usually has an easier time with bosses, but a harder time with the level. Zero usually has an easier time with the level, but a harder time with the bosses. It's a toss up. I perfer Zero, he gets style points, and coolness points. Q: Your guide tells me to use Kuuenzan, but I don't have it. What should I do? A: If you see a Kuuenzan in the guide, and don't have it, just use a Jump Attack. Q: What's the Ultimate Armor code? A: See the Secrets section. Q: What's the Black Armor code? A: See the Secrets section. Q: How did MorbidLuna's "undying laziness" spur you to write this FAQ? A: Well, you see, I'm currently working on a story/novel, and he's my editor. It's been two weeks since I've sent him the latest update, and he still hasn't sent it back. I needed to write something, so I wrote this. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ 7) EMAILS +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ "Against alien Sigma, rather than using Kuuenzan, I used Ryuenjin. Whenever he shot his rifle multiple times, I could take away about 60% of his health without taking a single hit. The next time he did it I finished him off." - CXT +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ 8) CLOSING +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Thanks to CJayC, for creating GameFAQs, and to MorbidLuna, who's undying laziness spurred me to write this FAQ.
