The first part shows the allotted time and the amount of bonuses available in the level. The second part is how to beat out the level and hopefully the first place score to make your own first place to start unlocking everything in the game. Basically the scheme will look like this: Level’s number Level’s par time, # of bonuses Walkthrough on how to beat the level with 100% mercury and how to get all bonuses As a note, the way that they set up the first place system is that you NEED to beat the par time to get a first place score. If you go through a level without getting any bonuses and finish with 100% of your mercury but you don’t finish under par time, you’ll get 50,000 points. If you obtain everything in a level except for the par time, you’ll always miss the high score by 100 points. Thus, this is how the high scores work out: Bonuses: High Score: If at 100% mercury, time needed for first place: 0 50,100 0.1 1 52,100 2.1 2 54,100 4.1 3 56,100 6.1 4 58,100 8.1 6 62,100 12.01 Thus, if you don’t get any bonuses, you must complete the level with at least 2 seconds left on the clock. And also, you do NOT need to get the bonuses, 100% and/or the first place time all in one shot; you can replay the level as much as you want to get everything. If there are bonuses in the level that I suggest to get on a different run of the level, I will put in parenthesis such as (b1) as a footnote to get them if you’re note going for 100% mercury and/or first place, and I will -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- These are little things in the game you'll find out eventually but I’m putting it here anyway: There are a few different types of platforms/switches. The first type is a square, checkered platform where you just touch it with the designated color and you’ll finish the level. The 2nd type is a circle switch where you touch it with the designated color and it activates the switch. The 3rd type is a weight switch; you must touch the switch with the designated color AND with a designated amount of weight (the percentage needed to activate the weighted switch is indicated by a red line on the thermometer on the left side of the screen). If you lose too much mercury and are unable to activate the weighted switch, the level will automatically end. There are 7 different colors of mercury blue, cyan, green, purple, red, silver, yellow red + blue = purple red + green = yellow blue + green = cyan blue + red + green = silver any color + silver = silver combination colors: blue + yellow = silver green + purple = silver red + cyan = silver Paintshops will change the color of your mercury if you pass through them. The points system: Every second is 1000 points, so 10 seconds is 10,000 points, and half a second is 500 points. Each percent of mercury is 500 points, thus when you finish with 100% mercury you receive 50,000 points. Every bonus is 2,000 points. There will be some doors called filtered doors which you can only go through if you are the same color as them. Jacob's Ladder is the tesla coil. The trick to it is that it will ONLY zap you if you go near it when it is turning red and when the electricity hits the top, otherwise you can pass by without it zapping you. When you’re on a ceiling from a gravity bender, controls are inverted in both the x and y directions. Stan is a cube that rolls around. Whenever he hits something, whether if it's a wall or if it's you, he'll stop and turn to the right. Some versions of Stan are the Lube Cube, which leaves trails that melts your mercury, and the Huebrick, which has red, blue and green sides, and you must push it around by yourself to activate colored Stan switches. Beware of the mercoids. They’re different in this game than the last in that instead of eating your mercury bit by bit (6-8% at a time) there are many different types of mercoids: schizoids, jerkoids and spectroids. Regular mercoids still eat 6-8% of your mercury bit by bit, but schizoids eat 6-8% of your mercury and make the blob explode into 10+ pieces in all directions. Jerkoids zap your mercury away bit by bit, and spectroids only chase you if you’re the same color as them, but can still split up your mercury if you run into each other. Note: If you’ve played Archer Maclean’s Mercury, you’ll know that if you get first place on all of the levels you unlock a bonus stage. In this game you must either get first place, or get 100% mercury on 13 levels in a lab to unlock the 17th level. And, as a warning, the 17th levels are a huge step up in difficulty than the other 16, so watch out. ================================================================================ Walkthrough Part 2, the Levels ================================================================================ 1. Astro Lab: Stage 1 [AS01] Time: 0:30 Bonuses: 2 1st Place Score: 54,100 Getting through: A straightforward level; go up the middle over the see-saw, touch the paintshop to turn yellow, and go back over the see-saw to touch the yellow-square platform and beat the level. To get the bonuses just go onto the yellow ledges next to the see-saw. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage 2 [AS02] Time: 0:40 Bonuses: 1 1st Place Score: 52,100 Getting through: First, go forward-left onto the spiked-wall to split up your silver blob, then make the left blob go through the red paintshop and then bring the right blob over to the green paintshop. Once red and green, mix the two blobs together to make a yellow blob and hit the switch. Go through the gate and grab the bonus since you won’t activate the square platform. Next, split the yellow blob into two on a spiked-wall and make one blob go into the blue paintshop, then merge the two together to make the silver blob again, and go back through the gate to hit the silver-square platform. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage 3 [AS03] Time: 0:35 Bonuses: 1 1st Place Score: 52,100 Getting through: There’s a simple trick to this level: wait till a half-second after the clock hits 29 and then hold up and you’ll ride straight through the the level to the finish. The bonus is right behind the silver-square platform; go carefully around the square platform to get it. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage 4 [AS04] Time: 0:45 Bonuses: 1 1st Place Score: 52,100 Getting through: Very straightforward, just follow the path around to the red paintshop, remembering to avoid the tesla coil and to grab the bonus that’s to the left of the coil, and then follow the path back to the beginning to hit the red-square platform. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage 5 [AS05] Time: 0:35 Bonuses: 1 1st Place Score: 52,100 Getting through: Follow the path up to the see-saw, which you must use to get the bonus. Take the see-saw at an angle towards the top and you’ll land on the bonus, then hold down to get off of the crumbling platform. From there, just go through the blue paintshop and through the blue-filtered gate to the blue-square platform. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage 6 [AS06] Time: 0:35 Bonuses: 1 1st Place Score: 52,100 Getting through: Bring the two blobs to the right so that you can bring the blue blob into the blue-filtered gate and hit the blue switch, then bring the green blob through the green-filtered gate to hit the green switch. Here, you can use the lift on the left side of the green area to get onto the wall and follow it around to the bonus. Merge the two blobs together into a cyan blob, and then go through the cyan-filtered gate and follow it down and around to the cyan-square platform. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage 7 [AS07] Time: 0:35 Bonuses: 2 1st Place Score: 54,100 Getting through: Beware, icy surfaces make your blob of mercury very hard to stop or change directions, meanwhile the black surfaces make your blob move incredibly slow. That being said, be careful when doing this level so that you don’t fly off of it. Go into a full eagle’s eye view and follow the path up to where the ice is, go left to get the first bonus and then head back right and around the path, and when you’re at the part where there’s the black surface and then ice, if you’re not careful once you hit the ice, you’ll fly off the map. Go left on the conveyor belts and go down, and when you hit the end go left on the ice to grab the second bonus, and then head back right to hit the silver-square platform. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage 8 [AS08] Time: 0:45 Bonuses: 3 1st Place Score: 56,100 Getting through: Head to the left of the purple ramp and hit the switch, then wait for the ramp to go up and down, then go to the end of it. Hold up as the ramp lifts up and you’ll land on the yellow paintshop. If you want to head straight towards the end of the level, just hold down when the ramp’s down and you’ll end up on the yellow-square platform, if you want to get the bonuses, go left to grab the first one, and then go back right and around the paths to grab all of them. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage 9 [AS09] Time: 0:40 Bonuses: 4 1st Place Score: 58,100 Getting through: (b1) Follow the path up and around, and then drop down onto the curved ledge and go through the green paintshop. (b2)(b3) Drop down onto the path below and follow it around to the end of the level, remembering to get the fourth bonus next to the green-square platform if you wish. (b1) go around the left wall to get the first bonus then go back to the start (b2) center your blob on the top blue line and just go back and forth building up momentum until you get the bonus (b3) drop down onto the green wall below and follow it around to the bonus -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage 10 [AS10] Time: 1:05 Bonuses: 2 1st Place Score: 54,100 Getting through: Let the blobs hit the ground, then hold right until the cyan blob hits the right wall above the green paintshop, then hold down until both the purple blob and the cyan blob go into the green paintshop. The easiest place to merge the two blobs is in the lower left corner where the cyan blob originally was. Once merged into a yellow blob, head over to the right side where the conveyor belt is and go up it, then (b1+2) hit the 50% yellow- weighted switch to open up the gate and hit the yellow-square platform. (b1+2) simply run over the thin lines fast to skip over them to get to the bonuses, then you can just drop down into the lines to merge back into a yellow blobs. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage 11 [AS11] Time: 0:50 Bonuses: 1 1st Place Score: 52,100 Getting through: As a note, when you’re on an almost vertical conveyor belt, if you don’t touch the analog stick it will carry you up and the longer you hold down, the more you will fall down the belt before it picks you back up again. Press down to fall to the ground and then go up the conveyor belt, turn green and fall back down again to go through the green-filtered gate. Go up the next conveyor belt and turn blue and grab the bonus, then fall down and go through the blue-filtered gate. Next, go up the conveyor belt and turn cyan as you fall/slide to the adjacent conveyor belt and follow it to the cyan-square platform. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage 12 [AS12] Time: 0:40 Bonuses: 3 1st Place Score: 56,100 Getting through: Here’s the introduction of the invisible, or nearly invisible walls and floors. From the start, go down to get the first bonus and you’ll hit your first invisible floor. Grab the bonus and go through the silver- filtered gate, turn red and go through the red-filtered gate, repeat with green and then with blue. Grab the second and third bonuses before heading into the second blue-filtered gate and then turn cyan and go through the cyan- filtered gate, repeat with purple and yellow, and then hit the yellow-square platform. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage 13 [AS13] Time: 0:30 Bonuses: 3 1st Place Score: 56,100 Getting through: Zoom in a bit. Go down the left side to get the first bonus, then head back right across the yellow ledge all the way around grabbing the bonuses on the way to the silver-square platform. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage 14 [AS14] Time: 0:30 Bonuses: 1 1st Place Score: 52,100 Getting through: Go into an eagle’s eye view. Line up the red and green blobs with the curved ramp, then bring the green blob over the edge and once it does bring the red blob towards it to merge them into a yellow blob. Grab the bonus and make sure you line up PERFECTLY between the yellow switch and the ramp before you hit the switch, otherwise the gravity spreader will make you fly off into just enough of a bad angle that you’ll lose a lot of mercury. Once you land, go down to hit the yellow-square platform. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage 15 [AS15] Time: 0:30 Bonuses: 4 1st Place Score: 58,100 Getting through: (b1-4) Merge all three blobs on either the right or left side of the curved walls, then make your way down the green ramp and up the conveyor belt and onto the silver-square platform. I figured that I’d just split up the walkthroughs for this level as they take up time and your mercury percentage if you’re not careful. So, first, go down and up to get each bonus from each colored filtered gate’s area, then merge the three blobs on either the right or left side of the curved walls. Set yourself up behind the iced-surface and then hold forward to grab the third bonus in midair. Go down and around off the crumbling blocks and up the conveyor, then go past the silver-square platform and carefully go around the outside-facing slanted corners and up the conveyor belt to get the fourth bonus and then drop down onto the silver-square platform. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage 16 [AS16] Time: 0:30 Bonuses: 2 1st Place Score: 54,100 Getting through: This is the first level in where you must be on two different square platforms at the same time to beat the level. First, bring the yellow blob up and around the wall and into the right bonus, then bring the red blob down and into the left bonus. Bring the two blobs right and then bring them around into their respective square platforms. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage 17 [AS17] Time: 1:50 Bonuses: 2 1st Place Score: 54,100 Getting through: Welcome to the first of many extremely aggravating 17th levels. The center of the level has gravity spreaders spread out over it, which means you’ll be flying for a long time if you’re not careful. Go into an eagle’s eye view when the countdown is happening, and at the start of the level hold left to land near the blue paintshop. Go into it, and go into the transporter. On the other side, hold up to land near the red paintshop, but don’t go into it. Split your blob into two pieces and make one go through the red paintshop, then merge them together to make a purple blob and hit the purple switch. Turn the blob back into red and go into the transporter, and on the other side, go right and land on the red switch. Split up your mercury again and make one blob turn green, then merge them back together into a yellow blob. Go into the transporter and hold left when you come out and land on the yellow switch. Turn blue and go into the transporter, and on the other side hold down, then split up your blob and make one go into the green paintshop, then merge them into a cyan blob and hit the cyan switch. Into the transporter and you’ll notice that the gravity spreaders are now offline. (b1+2) Head up towards the red paintshop, split your blob into two, making one go into the red paintshop and then merging them together to make a silver blob. Go into the transporter, and simply fall down and go into the silver-square platform. (b1+2) Once you drop down to the spreader area, simple fall down to the lover ledge to grab the bonuses. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. Bio Lab: Stage 1 [BI01] Time: 0:50 Bonuses: 2 1st Place Score: 54,100 Getting through: Simple enough. Go around the uneven path, making a left at the fork to get the first bonus, the head back to the fork, go down, and make a right at the next fork to get the second bonus, then just follow the path around to the silver-square platform. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage 2 [BI02] Time: 0:55 Bonuses: 4 1st Place Score: 58,100 Getting through: Follow the wall around if you want to get the first bonus, but drop down and follow the floor around if you want to play it safe. Follow the path around, when you get to the second bonus, go over the invisible floor to get it. Make your way to the green paintshop and grab the third bonus over the invisible floor. Get to the green paintshop, and follow the path around the gravity spreader. The fourth bonus is easy to get because the gravity spreader doesn’t push you away from the top, which is where the invisible floor is. Continue around the level until you hit the green-square platform. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage 3 [BI03] Time: 1:10 Bonuses: 1 1st Place Score: 52,100 Getting through: Go into an eagle’s eye view. Turn red, then split up the blob on the bottom spike near the green paintshop. Turn the right blob green, then bring the two blobs up and merge them into a yellow blob on the left wall just under the spike and hit the yellow switch. Next, turn blue and split up the blob on the right spike, making the bottom blob turn blue, then merge the two together into a cyan blob on the top near the cyan switch and hit the cyan switch. Bring the blob down and to the left to his the second cyan switch, then bring the blob to the top spike between the red and blue paintshops and make each separate blob hit the paintshop on both sides. Merge the two blobs together into a purple blob and hit the purple switch. Go through the gates that you’ve opened up and grab the bonus next to the silver-square platform. Head back through the opening and split up your purple blob on the bottom spike to the right of the opening and turn the right blob green, then merge them together to make a silver blob, and bring that back through the opening and onto the silver-square platform. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage 4 [BI04] Time: 1:00 Bonuses: 2 1st Place Score: 54,100 Getting through: Go up, avoiding the pusher, and turn red. Then go left, avoiding the two pushers, follow the path down and (b1) go into the red- filtered gate, watching out for Jacob’s Ladder. Go onto the left-facing conveyor belt (b2) and follow the belts up through the gap. Go onto the blue moving platform and on the other side go into the cyan paintshop. Go back onto the moving platform and hit the cyan switch, then go right on the see-saw and on the other side, follow the path down and go into the gap where the blue gate was (avoiding Jacob’s Ladder again) and hit the cyan-square platform. (b1) You’ll get zapped by Jacob’s Ladder getting this, so don’t worry about getting 100% mercury if you’re going for the bonus. Just below Jacob’s Ladder is the first bonus. (b2) Go down off the conveyor belt and follow the path left and up -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage 5 [BI05] Time: 1:20 Bonuses: 1 1st Place Score: 52,100 Getting through: Note, in this level, when you are in the trenches, you will be forced in one direction. Head left into the trench, then follow the inside wall around and you’ll end up in the section to the right. Watch out for the airjet, as it will send your blob flying into the air out of control. Go into the top trench, and you’ll end up in the section above. Left trench, section above. (b1) Go into the silver paintshop, then go into the left trench and come out in the section left of you. Left trench, left section (/b1), bottom trench, bottom section, bottom trench, final section and hit the silver-square platform. (b1) Use the airjet here to propel yourself into the middle section where the bonus is, then either ditch the mercury in one of the two holes, or go into the trench and you’ll end up in the top-left section. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage 6 [BI06] Time: 1:05 Bonuses: 1 1st Place Score: 52,100 Getting through: Go up through the gap, follow the left path to the left gap and go into the green paintshop. Come back through the gap and hit the green switch to open up the green door, then go through it and turn red. Come back and hit the red switch, then go into the left gap to turn green again, double- back through the gap and go into the top gap and hit the other green switch to open up the center gate, and then go into it. Grab the bonus, and split up your blob where the gate once was, and bring the bottom blob into the red paintshop while the green blob is still trapped in the center. Bring the red blob back into the center and merge it with the green blob to make a yellow blob and hit the yellow-square platform. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage 7 [BI07] Time: 0:30 Bonuses: 2 1st Place Score: 54,100 Getting through: Very simple level, go into an eagle’s eye view to make things a bit easier, then just follow the path around to the end, grabbing the bonuses on the way if you wish. In this level, you’ll remember that when traveling on the double-inclined path going through the peak of it, your mercury will split up if you take too long, but in this level the path will turn flat before that happens, so don’t worry about it too much. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage 8 [BI08] Time: 0:40 Bonuses: 2 1st Place Score: 54,100 Getting through: Follow the path left, up and around onto the conveyor belt (b1) and the onto another conveyor belt. Go onto the gravity bender, remembering that when you are on the ceiling, controls are inverted. Follow the path up and into the cyan paintshop (b2) and then go left, falling off of the ceiling and landing on the cyan-square platform. Remember that you’ll be holding right and as soon as you’re away from the ceiling you’ll be holding left. (b1) go onto the pathway below the conveyor belts. (b2) follow the outer path, going slowly since the blob will be harder to control when you’re inverted. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage 9 [BI09] Time: 0:45 Bonuses: 2 1st Place Score: 54,100 Getting through: Go onto the blue moving platform (b1) and on the other side, go left and up the conveyor belts, then left onto the blue moving platform, left onto the next platform, and hold up to bounce on the trampolines, grabbing the second bonus, and you’ll land on the conveyor belts, following them to the silver-square platform. (b1) if you’re fast enough, you can get the bonus and come back onto the blue moving platform while it’s still going up without losing any mercury, otherwise just wait for it come back down and it will cycle through. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage 10 [BI10] Time: 0:40 Bonuses: 2 1st Place Score: 54,100 Getting through: Go into an eagle’s eye view, go up the path (b1) and follow the black pathway left and up, (b2) then follow the next black pathway down, and follow the path down and around to the silver-square platform, avoiding the pusher near the end. (b1) use the conveyor belt path, making sure to tap down once in a while so that you don’t fly off. (b2) get enough speed so that you can make it up the incline, taking it at a downwards angle, and use the speed to go over the gap. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage 11 [BI11] Time: 0:40 Bonuses: 1 1st Place Score: 52,100 Getting through: A pretty confusing level at first, go into an eagle’s eye view, but in essence you’re just merging all of the blobs together from different sections to make a silver blob to hit the 100% silver-weighted switch. (b1) You can do this level any way you wish as there are endless possibilities to completing it. As a basic help, first try bringing all of the blobs to the left side, and then bring all of the blobs up, or do it the other way, up and then left. I prefer left and then up as the purple blob will go through its filter, and when it’s combined with the blue and cyan blobs it will turn silver and will go through the silver filter, meaning that you’ll only have to worry about two rows of blobs and not three. Simply, in this level, just find which gates slide which way, and then bring the blobs past them, and once you merge all of the blobs into a single silver blob, bring it onto the 100% silver- weighted switch in the top left corner, which will open up the gate to the silver-square platform. (b1) this is actually simple to do; all you need to do is merge the green, red and yellow blobs on the bottom row, and you’ll have enough mercury to hit the yellow-weighted switch. Move all the blobs to the right, then move them down and slightly up to bring the green blob into the red blob making yellow, and then bring them up and slightly down to bring it to the next yellow blob and use it to hit the yellow-weighted switch. Then grab the bonus and converge the rest of the blobs together into a silver blob and hit the silver-weighted switch and the silver-weighted platform. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage 12 [BI12] Time: 1:05 Bonuses: 1 1st Place Score: 52,100 Getting through: Go into an eagle’s eye view and rotate the camera 90 degrees to the right. Follow the path around to the second Stan cube, and make him go through the top gap. The best way to do this is to just wait in the lower-left part of the area. While he is on his way to hitting the Stan switch, go onto the pathway in between the Stan areas and wait there till the moving platform passes by and when it does, you’ll get the bonus hovering above it. Go right and follow the path around to the blue paintshop, go in it, and go back to the first Stan cube. Make it go into the bottom gap and hit the Stan switch, and once it does, the moving platform will return to its original position letting you cross it and hit the blue-square platform. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage 13 [BI13] Time: 0:40 Bonuses: 3 1st Place Score: 56,100 Getting through: (b1+2) Go into an eagle’s eye view. Merge the three blobs and rotate the camera 90 degrees left. Drop down the gap and follow the conveyor belt to the left and follow the path up, then drop down. (b3) Go up and around the path to the right wall and use the wall conveyor belts to get up to the floor above. Use the property changer to turn solid and follow the railway around. When you get off the railway and are going up the conveyor belt, rotate the camera 90 degrees left and make it horizontal to make the next part easier for you. Turn back into a liquid and drop down onto the floor below, then head straight for the silver-square platform. (b1+2) hold down and then up to go through each respective filter. (b3) rotate the camera 90 degrees right and make it horizontal. Go up the conveyor belt to grab the bonus, then hold up to use the wall conveyor belts to get back to the floor below, then go back into an eagle’s eye view and rotate the camera 90 degrees left. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage 14 [BI14] Time: 1:00 Bonuses: 1 1st Place Score: 52,100 Getting through: Make Stan go onto the right side of the bottom pathway where the Stan switch is. Do this by stopping one square to the left of the right gap to make him stop, then block his top path, then the right, and he’ll be forced to hit the switch. When he comes out, force him onto left side of the top pathway where the other Stan switch is. To do this, wait till he hits the top wall, then block his right path, the bottom path, then quickly head left and position yourself on the wall so that Stan moves one space to the left before he stops and turns up. Once on the pathway, go right and grab the bonus since you won’t activate the platform, then go left to turn red, and head back to activate the red-squared platform. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage 15 [BI15] Time: 0:45 Bonuses: 4 1st Place Score: 58,100 Getting through: Go up and turn cyan, then come back and go right to hit the cyan switch, grabbing the bonus on the way. Go up and turn purple, then go up and left to hit the purple switch, grabbing the bonus on the way. (b3+4) Position yourself under the pile driver and it will split up your blobs into two pieces, which will each go under their own colored paintshops and towards their own colored-squared platforms. (b3+4) go up the right path and follow it around -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage 16 [BI16] Time: 0:40 Bonuses: 2 1st Place Score: 54,100 Getting through: (b1) Press up for a second, using the ice to make the green blob pull ahead of the other two, and then hold left making it go into the green- filtered gate while simultaneously merging together the blue and red blobs into a purple blob. Bring the green blob up and around the invisible walls and merge it together with the blue blob to make a cyan blob. Bring the cyan blob through the cyan-filtered gate (b2) and around more invisible walls and bring it to the cyan-square platform, but put it in the lower-left corner of the invisible wall so that the purple blob is also in its lower-left corner. Then, just bring them up and to the right to make each blob hit its own respective colored-square platform. (b1) your goal here is to get the blue blob over to the bonus without merging ANY of the blobs together. To do this, hold up to bring the red and green blobs up to the top wall and the blue blob to the wall behind it. Then, hold right till the red blob lines up with the ice surface. Wait till the red blob drifts just below the green one, then bring the green blob through the green-filtered gate. Grab the bonus with the blue blob, and bring it back to the red blob, making sure that it is blue before you merge it with the red blob. (b2) go left and around the invisible walls -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage 17 [BI17] Time: 1:30 Bonuses: 6 1st Place Score: 62,100 Getting through: And here’s bonus level two. Go up the conveyor belt (b1) and go right onto the ice surface, and keep going right, over the speedy conveyor belt and around the ice curve. When you fall, turn red and go up the conveyor belt and through the red-filtered gate. Go left, up the conveyor belt, and through another red-filtered gate. Go up the conveyor belt, landing on a ledge and grabbing a bonus, and then fall down to get to the next conveyor belt. From the top of the conveyor belt, go right and onto a ledge, and onto another conveyor belt which leads to yet another conveyor belt. * Be very careful on the next part since it is very easy to fall off. If you do fall off though, you can get back to 100% by navigating the blobs back to spot “*” noted above. Go into an eagle’s eye view and bring the blob to the edge, then go left towards the conveyor belt and once the blob is almost past the edge, press up along with left to make sure you don’t fall off. It’ll probably take a few tries to get this part right. Go back into the original view, then go left along the conveyor belts, and then fall down the gap, holding up all the way down. Hold left to fall down (b3) then let down just a little bit of mercury off of the right part of the cliff, then hold left to bring the bottom blob through the green paintshop and then up the conveyor belt, then merge the two blobs together into a yellow blob, and ride the conveyor belt up through the yellow-filtered gate. Bring the blob right and split them up on the spike, making the bottom blob go through the blue paintshop, and then merge the two blobs together into a silver blob. Go through the silver-filtered gate, and go right and to the edge of the path. (b4-6) Slowly drop down each cliff, landing on another ledge, and when you get to the semi-circle ledge, follow it around to the silver-square platform. (b1) grab it on the left side (b3) bring the blob left onto the green filtered gates (b4-6) as a warning, even though you might get all three bonuses, you’ll probably miss the silver-square platform and fly off of the stage. This is the main reason why I have split up the bonus and regular walkthroughs, since you probably won’t survive. That being said, here’s how to do it: what you need to do is fly off of the ledge at full speed in a line with the bonuses. Back up as much as you can, then hold down and a little bit to the left (aligning with the bonuses) and if you do it correctly, you’ll land on the silver-square platform. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3. Chem Lab: Stage 1 [CH01] Time: 0:40 Bonuses: 2 1st Place Score: 54,100 Getting through: Go into an eagle’s eye view. All inclines in this level are slanted towards the middle. A simple level: head towards the end where the purple paintshop is, picking up the bonuses on the way, turn purple, come back and hit the 50% purple-weighted switch, then go forwards again and go through the gate to hit the purple-square platform. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage 2 [CH02] Time: 1:20 Bonuses: 2 1st Place Score: 54,100 68% Getting through: Zoom out a bit. (b1+2) Split up the blobs on the bottom spike and bring each blob through its own paintshop (green and blue from top to bottom) and bring them through their respective colored-filtered gates. Merge them together and hit the 68% cyan-weighted switch. Bring the blobs up the bottom conveyor belt and split up the blobs on the bottom spike, bringing the bottom blob through the blue paintshop. Bring both blobs up, and on the way bring the blue blob through the blue-filtered gate, then make the other blob turn red and bring it through the red-filtered gate. Merge them together and hit the 68% purple-weighted switch. Go up the top conveyor belt and split up your mercury on the top spike, then make each blob through its own paintshop, then bring the green blob through its filtered gate, and then bring the red blob through its filtered gate. Merge them together and hit the 68% yellow- weighted switch. Bring the blob up the bottom conveyor belt but don’t bring it all the way over. Instead, drop off a little bit of mercury onto the left side and then bring the remaining mercury onto the right side. Turn the left blob blue and then bring it through its filtered gate. Merge the two blobs together and bring them right onto the silver-square platform. (b1+2) Turn any color, I suggest green, then go through the green-filtered gate and up the top conveyor belt, then follow the wall around to get both bonuses, then drop back down to the paintshop area. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage 3 [CH03] Time: 0:45 Bonuses: 2 1st Place Score: 54,100 Getting through: The beginning of this level’s just like Astro Lab Stage 14. Line up the red and green blobs with the curved ramp, then bring the green blob over the edge and once it does bring the red blob towards it to merge them into a yellow blob. Grab the first bonus and make sure you line up PERFECTLY between the yellow switch and the ramp before you hit the switch, otherwise the gravity spreader will make you fly off into just enough of a bad angle that you’ll lose a lot of mercury. When you land, bring the yellow blob left and split it up on the spike, then make each blob turn green and blue, and make them go through each teleporter at the exact same time.
