Story Mode Walkthrough ============================================== **Before you start, please take note**: The walkthrough in this section is to 'guide' you in which direction you should take in order to get all levels and items completed. It is recommended that you follow the order of the places I pick. I have tried and picked certain levels in different order and some of the items do not appear or the events do not take place. Hence, should you fail to follow the order, some items might be missing or even some levels will be skipped. ---------------------------------------------- 6.1 Gash/Kiyomaro ---------------------------------------------- When you start a new game in story mode, you use Gash/Kiyomaro as the main character to fight. There is a book to record your journey. Select "Mokujihe" at the most bottom left to view the book which shows the list of levels you have completed. You can also select the levels and replay them. You can select 5 places. (Since my kanji is so bad, I do not know most of the places' names. So I will go by the numbering of choices and the color instead ^^"). - Pick Department Store (4th choice in green) to fight Umagon/Sunbeam. Win him to get Level1 completed. - Pick Park (2nd choice in light blue) to fight Teo/Megumi. Win her to get Level2 completed. - After winning both of them, go to School (first choice in dark blue) and collect 10 points. - Next, pick third choice in cyan to fight Kid/Dr.Nazonazo. Win him to get Level3 completed. - After a win over Kid/Dr.Nazonazo, there should be plenty of new places coming up. We have 8 different places now. - Pick second choice in red to fight Brago/Cherry. Win him to get Level6 completed. - Pick Circus (7th choice in dark purple) to fight Canchome/Folgore. Win him to get Level4 completed. - Pick China Temple (last choice in green) to fight Wonrei/Rien. Win him to get Level5 completed. - After you have beaten all three, pick the 4th place in blue to get CM1 clip. - Next, pick Dr.Nazonazo's place (6th place) to collect 10 points. - Next, pick forest (3rd place in purple) to fight Zeon/Deufo! - Defeat Zeon to unlock "Password" mode and Ending clip as well as to get Level7 completed. - Pick forest (3rd place in purple) again to fight Zeon/Deufo a second time. - After a win over him, there should now be 3 new places appearing on the screen. - Pick Amazon (the very first choice in yellow) to fight Victoreem/Mohikan Ace. Win him to complete level8. - Pick the third choice in purple to fight Reira/Arubeiru. Win her to get Level9 completed. - Pick second choice in red to fight Brago/Cherry. Win him to get Level10 completed. - After completing Level10, pick Amazon (first choice) to collect 10 points. - Pick second choice in red again to fight Zofis/Coco. Win him to complete Level11. Once you have completed until this point, there are no further events and you are stuck here. So you will have to let Teo/Megumi continue the Story Mode from this point. Read on to see how the story can be handed over to the next character. ---------------------------------------------- 6.2 Teo/Megumi ---------------------------------------------- What now? Okay, firstly go back to the menu and select Story Mode again. This time, do not select "continue" but instead restart the Story Mode all over again. Now, select Park (2nd choice in light blue) to fight Teo/Megumi. Okay, now PURPOSELY let her win you this time. (Don't get mad at me before you read on. ^^") Once the match is over, you will now play as Teo/Megumi to continue the story! *Note: Instead of restarting the Story Mode, you can also just select the level which you want to play from the book and replay them. For example, in this case you can just select Level2 and purposely lose to Teo/Megumi to let her take over the Story Mode. After being Teo/Megumi, continue the Story in this order: - Pick Park (2nd choice in light blue) to collect 10 points. - Pick Mine (5th choice in yellow) to fight Umagon/Sunbeam. Win him to get Level14 completed. - Pick Department Store (4th choice in green) to fight Kid/Dr.Nazonazo. Win him to get Level 12 completed. - After a win over Kid/Dr.Nazonazo, there should be plenty of new places coming up. We have 8 different places now. - Pick 5th place in orange to collect 10 points. - Pick Circus (7th choice in dark purple) to fight Canchome/Folgore. Win him to get Level13 completed. - Pick China Temple (last choice in green) to fight Wonrei/Rien. Win him to get Level16 completed. - After beating Wonrei/Rien, pick 4th place in light blue to get CM2 clip. - Pick second choice in red to fight Brago/Cherry. Win him to complete Level15. - After winning Brago/Cherry, there will be 3 new places coming up on the screen. - Pick the third choice in purple to collect 10 points. - Pick Amazon (first choice in yellow) to fight Victoreem/Mohikan Ace. Win him to get Level17 completed. - Pick second choice in red to fight Reira/Arubeiru. Win her to get Level18 completed. You have now completed Story Mode with Teo/Megumi. ---------------------------------------------- 6.3 Canchome/Folgore ---------------------------------------------- To play as Canchome/Folgore, use Gash/Kiyomaro to fight Canchome/Folgore in Circus. After a win over him, re-enter the Circus to see the story switches to Canchome/Folgore. Now you will be playing as him to continue the Story Mode. [Thanks to GenG for this info.] - First of all, pick Mine (5th choice in yellow) to collect 10 points. - Next, pick School (the very first choice) to fight Umagon/Sunbeam. Win him to get Level21 completed. - After a win over Umagon/Sunbeam, there should be 8 new places appearing on the screen. - Pick Dr.Nazonazo's place (6th choice) to collect 10 points. - Pick 4th place in blue to fight Teo/Megumi. Win her to get Level22 completed. - Pick China Temple (last choice in green) to fight Wonrei/Rien. Win him to get Level19 completed. - After winning both of them, select Circus (7th choice in dark purple) to earn 10 points. - Pick forest (third choice) to encounter Zeon/Deufo. Beat him to get Level23 completed. - Pick North Pole (5th choice in orange) to fight Brago/Cherry. Win him to get Level20 completed. - After a win over Brago/Cherry, there should be 3 new places coming up. - Pick Amazon (the very first choice in yellow) to get CM5 clip. - Next, pick second choice in red to fight Victoreem/Mohikan Ace. Win him to complete Level24 Here is the end of Canchome/Folgore's path. Next will be Umagon/Sunbeam. ---------------------------------------------- 6.4 Umagon/Sunbeam ---------------------------------------------- Now you will have to continue the Story Mode with Umagon/Sunbeam. In order to do this, use Teo/Megumi to fight Umagon/Sunbeam at Mine. After a win over her, pick Mine again and now you will be playing as Umagon/Sunbeam. [Thanks to GenG for this info.] - Pick Mine (5th choice in yellow) to fight Teo/Megumi. Win her to get Level25 completed. - After a win over Teo/Megumi, there should be 8 new places appearing on the screen. - Pick Castle (second place in red) to get CM3 clip. - Pick North Pole (5th choice in orange) to fight Canchome/Folgore. Win him to get Level28 completed. - Pick third place in purple to fight Reira/Arubeiru. Win her to get Level29 completed. That's all for Umagon/Sunbeam's path. ---------------------------------------------- 6.5 Brago/Cherry ---------------------------------------------- Now it's time for Brago/Cherry to take over the story mode. The way to do this is to play as Gash/Kiyomaro and purposely lose to Brago/Cherry. - Pick London (the very first choice) to get CM4 clip. - Pick North Pole (5th choice in orange) to get 10 points. - Pick Dr.Nazonazo's place (6th choice) to fight Kid/Dr.Nazonazo. Win him to complete Level30. - After a win over Kid/Dr.Nazonazo, there will be 3 new places coming up. - Pick Amazon (the very first choice in yellow) to fight Lord(Zofis)/Coco. Win him to get Level31 completed. - After win Lord/Coco, pick third choice in purple to collect 10 points. - Pick second choice in red to fight Victoreem/Mohikan Ace. Win him to get Level32 completed. - Pick second choice again to collect 10 points. - Pick third choice in purple to fight Reira/Arubeiru. Win her to get Level33 completed. - After a win over Reira/Arubeiru, pick the third choice again to fight Zofis/Coco. Win him to get Level34 completed. With that, you have completed Brago/Cherry's role on the Story Mode. ---------------------------------------------- 6.6 Zeon/Deufo ---------------------------------------------- ***Zeon/Deufo's Story Mode is needed to be unlocked using password!*** [Thanks to paul7845 for this info.] As notepad doesn't support japanese characters, I've made the passwords into an image file. Please check for the "Unlock Zeon's Story Mode" password and key it in. After you have keyed in the password successfully, select the book and replay Level7 where you have to fight Zeon/Deufo using Gash/Kiyomaro. Now, purposely let Zeon win you so that he would take over the Story Mode. You'll be playing as Zeon now (not bad at all, you get to use him before you unlock him :) ). - Pick London (the very first choice) to fight Umagon/Sunbeam. Win him to get Level37 completed. - Pick 4th choice in blue to fight Teo/Megumi. Win her to complete Level38. - Pick North Pole (5th choice in orange) to fight Canchome/Folgore. Win him to get Level36 completed. - Pick Dr.Nazonazo's place (6th choice) to fight Kid/Dr.Nazonazo. Win him to get Level35 completed. - Pick China Temple (last choice in green) to fight Wonrei/Rien. Win him to complete Level39. - After beating all five of them, there should be 3 new places appearing on the screen. - Next, pick Amazon to fight Victoreem/Mohikan Ace. Win him to get Level40 completed. - Pick second choice in red to fight Reira/Arubeiru. Win her to get Level41 completed. - Pick third choice in purple to fight Zofis/Coco. Win him to get Level42 completed. - Pick third choice in purple again to fight Brago/Cherry. Win him to get Level43 completed. - Once you have completed all the levels, Zeon/Deufo is unlocked into play. Congratulations! You have completed all the levels in the Story Mode! ============================================== 7. Frequently Asked Questions ============================================== Question: What are the differences between this game and the previous installment? Answer: Konjiki No Gashbell - Yuujou Tag Battle 2's new features: - Mission Mode is now replaced with Story Mode. (No more irritating missions asking you to win Zeon perfect! :) ) - For old characters, old moves are updated and there are also new moves added. - More combos can be executed. - More Characters. The new characters are: - Umagon/Sunbeam - Victoreem/Mohikan Ace - Reira/Arubeiru - Zeon/Deufo (Secret character) - Zofis/Coco (Secret character) - Alternate Reira/Arubeiru (Secret character) - Maestro (Secret character) - Oh well,I think Bandai got rid of Baree/Gusutaf.Who cares anyway :) Question: What are the secret characters and how to unlock them? Answer: - Zeon/Deufo: by completing Zeon's Story Mode (Level35-43). - Zofis/Coco: by obtaining a card "Brago VS Zofis". - Alternate Reira/Arubeiru: by obtaining a card "Saigo no Kissu". Press R1 button at Reira/Arubeiru at the character selection screen to select the alternate one. - Maestro: by winning 300 times in time attack mode Maestro will challenge you. Beat Maestro to unlock him into play. Question: I hear there is one more secret character - Lord/Coco (Zofis' mask version). What are the differences between Lord/Coco and Zofis/Coco? Answer: Well, you can consider him as one more secret character, but he has no new Move List or whatsoever. Only the look is different (masked and unmasked). Question: What are the differences between normal Reira/Arubeiru and the alternate one? Answer: Alternate Reira/Arubeiru has more moves. Please refer to Move List section for more detail. Question: If I missed a clip when I played Story Mode, can I still go back and get it? Answer: Yes, you can. The Story Mode can always be replayed. Question: What is [insert character]'s [insert Special Attack] used for? Answer: Well common question here. Some common Special Attack that people do not know the effects are: - Gash's Zaguruzemu (Up+Square): can be repeatedly used to decrease opponent's resistance to Special attacks. After Zaguruzemu hits the opponent, Gash's other Special attacks will become more effective and causes more damage. The more times the Zaguruzemu is used on the opponent before the attack the better the resultant damage thereafter. Max Special attack is no exception! - Teo's Saiifojio (Back+Square): used for healing. - Teo's Giga Ra Seushiru (Front+Square): used to cast a barrier over the opponent. If an opponent uses Special Attack when the move is activated, the attack will be reflected back to the opponent (kind of like counter special attack). - Wonrei's Redoruku (Up+Square): used to dash in front quickly. Yes, that's all ^^. (It's a useful move though. You can execute this move to make Wonrei get nearer to his opponent as Wonrei's Special Attacks are mostly short-ranged). If there are more beside these moves, email me to ask ^^". Question: I think I have already won 300 times on Time Attack Mode but Maestro has never challenged me. Why? Answer: Be sure to really have 300 wins! If you haven't known this, 2 victories over a single opponent is counted as 1. Question: Oh my god! I heard my friend saying that he completed Time Attack Mode with the record below 3 minutes! He's lying right? Answer: Apparently, he isn't lying because I myself have a record of 2:48 :) using Wonrei. What you have to do is to upgrade your Hit/Attack A LOT (MAX is good). The rest depends on your skills :). Question: No one has written any reviews for this game. Is it worth to get one? Answer: Hey, if you like the manga/anime then why not? It's fun! I will suggest you to rent it first though then buy it afterwards if you like. But yes, it is a pretty fun game :). ============================================== 8.
