That's it. Section 2-Bio------------------------------------------- Wrestler: Finlay Real Name: Dave Findlay Born: October 20, 1958 Hometown: Belfast, Ireland Marital Status: Married, one child Height: 5'10" Weight: 230 lbs Trained by: Debut: 1978 Previous Gimmicks: - The Belfast Bruiser (WCW) - Dave Finlay (WCW) - Fit Finlay (WCW) Finisher(s): - Tombstone Piledriver (WCW) - The Celtic Cross (Emerald Fusion) (WWE) Title History: - WCW Television Title (def. Booker T - May 4th, 1998) - WWE United States Title (def. Bobby Lashley - July 14th, 2006) Section 3-Stats----------------------------------------- Weight - Heavyweight Overall - 85 Strength - 7.5 Submission - 8 Durability - 7.5 Technique - 9 Speed - 7 Charisma - 7 Hardcore - 8.5 Stamina - 7 These stats are pretty well rounded, though he has a curiously high technique stat, which makes up for his oddly low charisma. So, reverse a lot, and try to get in some weapon shots if you can. Finlay is pure heel, and must be used that way in order to unlock his full potential. Section 4-Movelist-------------------------------------- Key: Please note, that because this game is multi-platform, GameFAQs will not accept movelists for a single character, for a single platform. Originally, this was a movelist/FAQ for the 360, but it has been adapted for all three versions of the game. As I do not own the PS2 or the PSP, this is entirely based off of SvR2006's control scheme, and the general layout of all the current controllers so if you see anything wrong with any of the controls, I urge you to email me the problem, and I will fix it immediately. ----Buttons---- 1 - A button (360) - X (PS2/PSP). 2 - B button (360) - Circle (PS2/PSP). 3 - X button (360) - Square (PS2/PSP). 4 - Y button (360) - Triangle (PS2/PSP). The clothesline here is very powerful, so I'd make use of it. In a submission match, it will be a generic submission move, for example. Basically, it's a move that can always end the match, unless there is an odd stipulation (i.e. ladder match, tables match, etc) Aside from the head damage, the headlock is good because it can end matches, of course, as it is a submission A move. ___________________ /Lower Body Grapple/_________________________________________________ /Buttoms |Move Name |HD|AD|LD|BD|SD|MG| |B|P|K|D|A|B|\ |___________|_________________________|__|__|__|__|__|__|_|_|_|_|_|_|_| | | (R)C |Sitdown |--|--|--|--|--|--| | | | | | | | | | (R)D |Pinfall |--|--|--|--|--|--| | | | | | | | | |(R)C + (R)C|Raise |--|--|--|--|--|--| | | | | | | | | | (R)L |Step Over Toe Hold |--|--|12|--| 3|10| | | | | |+| | | | (R)U |Kick to Groin |--|--|--|10| 8|12| | | | | | | | | \ (R)R |Clover Leaf |--|--|12| 4| 3|10|!| | | | |+| |/ ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ The kick to groin would've been my reccomendation, except it doesn't give dirty points, so it's rather pointless. The clover leaf, though Finlay does not really use it much, if ever in real life, has substantial leg damage, and is a sub A move, so if you find yourself at the opponent's legs and don't feel like using a hotspot, hit 'em with a cloverleaf. __________________________________________________________________ / Corner / ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ ________________ /Running Strikes/____________________________________________________ /Buttoms |Move Name |HD|AD|LD|BD|SD|MG| |B|P|K|D|A|B|\ |___________|_________________________|__|__|__|__|__|__|_|_|_|_|_|_|_| | | 3 |Running Shoulder Attack 1|--|--|--| 9|10|10|!| | | | | | | | | 3 + DIR |Turnbuckle Big Splash |--|--|--| 9|10|10| | | | | | | | | \ 3* |Knee Attack 1 | 9|--|--|--|10|10| | | | | | | |/ ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ * - Indicates that the opponent must be sitting on the canvas in the corner. However, missing a clothesline in SvR07 starts a reversal sequence where you run agaisnt the ropes behind your opponent. True, this can lead to a nice counter, it also leads to massive stamina depletion, which is bad. Best to stay safe with the shoulder block. _________ /Grapples/___________________________________________________________ /Buttoms |Move Name |HD|AD|LD|BD|SD|MG| |B|P|K|D|A|B|\ |___________|_________________________|__|__|__|__|__|__|_|_|_|_|_|_|_| | | (R)D |Lou Thesz Press |10|--|--| 4|13|15|!| | | | | | | | \ (R)U |School Boy 2 | 2|--|--| 2| 7|11| | |+| | | | |/ ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Unless you're trying to snake a pinfall, the LTP is the way to go, so much damage, so hard to pass up. ________________ /Behind Grapples/____________________________________________________ /Buttoms |Move Name |HD|AD|LD|BD|SD|MG| |B|P|K|D|A|B|\ |___________|_________________________|__|__|__|__|__|__|_|_|_|_|_|_|_| | | (R)U/D |Chop Block |--|--|12|--|10|10|!| | | | | | | | \ (R)L/R |School Boy 1 | 2|--|--| 4| 7| 9| | |+| | | | |/ ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ * - Indicates a groggy opponent. Another instance where you can inflict mad leg damage really simply, and definitely a cool looking move anyway. So, again, unless you are going for a pinfall, the chop block will be the move to work with. _____________ /Down Attacks/_______________________________________________________ /Buttoms |Move Name |HD|AD|LD|BD|SD|MG| |B|P|K|D|A|B|\ |_____________|_______________________|__|__|__|__|__|__|_|_|_|_|_|_|_| | | 1 + 3 |Elbow Drop 5 | 6| 6| 6| 6| 7| 6| | | | | | | | | \1 + 3 + (L) |Double Axe Handle 5 | 7| 7| 7| 7| 8| 7| | | | | | | |/ ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ _________________ /Running Opponent/___________________________________________________ /Buttoms |Move Name |HD|AD|LD|BD|SD|MG| |B|P|K|D|A|B|\ |___________|_________________________|__|__|__|__|__|__|_|_|_|_|_|_|_| | | (R)U/D |Back Body Drop |--|--|--|12|12|14| | | | | | | | | \ (R)L/R |Hip Toss 3 |--|--|--|10| 8|10| | | | | | | |/ ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ __________________________________________________________________ / Double Team / ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ ________ /In Ring/____________________________________________________________ /Buttoms |Move Name |HD|AD|LD|BD|SD|MG| |B|P|K|D|A|B|\ |___________|_________________________|__|__|__|__|__|__|_|_|_|_|_|_|_| | | (R)D |Dropkick & Rolling Clutch| 1| 1| 1| 6|11|15| | |+| | | | | | | (R)L |Double Suplex |--|--|--|14|14|16| | | | | | | | | | (R)U |Double DDT |14|--|--|--|14|16|!|+| | | | | | | \ (R)R |Double Dropkick |--|--|--|14|13|14| | | | | | | |/ ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ I've got to go with the DDT here, the head damage is immense, as well as the chance of busting your opponent open. A bloody opponent doesn't fight as well, so making 'em bleed is always a positive thing. Also, I believe this is Finlay's ONLY (legal, not counting weapons) move to induce blood. So that is an added bonus. __________ /In Corner/__________________________________________________________ /Buttoms |Move Name |HD|AD|LD|BD|SD|MG| |B|P|K|D|A|B|\ |___________|_________________________|__|__|__|__|__|__|_|_|_|_|_|_|_| | | (R)D |Whip & Lay Down |--|--|--|10|12|14| | | | | | | | | | (R)L |Double Stomping |--|--|--|12|16|18| | | | | | | | | | (R)U |Double Arm Whip |--|--|--|12|10|18| | | | | | | | | \ (R)R |Body Splash & Whip |--|--|--|10|16|18| | | | | | | |/ ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ __________________________________________________________________ / Special / ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ _________ /Finisher/___________________________________________________________ /Buttoms |Move Name |HD|AD|LD|BD|SD|MG| |B|P|K|D|A|B|\ |___________|_________________________|__|__|__|__|__|__|_|_|_|_|_|_|_| | | [L]* |Celtic Cross |13|--|--| 5|14|18| | | | | | | | | \ [L]* |Celtic Cross |13|--|--| 5|14|18| | | | | | | |/ ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ * = Opponent is groggy, in front of you, or in a grapple. _______________ /Chair Finisher/_____________________________________________________ /Buttoms |Move Name |HD|AD|LD|BD|SD|MG| |B|P|K|D|A|B|\ |___________|_________________________|__|__|__|__|__|__|_|_|_|_|_|_|_| | | [L] |Chair DDT |22|--|--|--|16|22| |+| | | | | | | \[L] + DIR |Chair DDT |22|--|--|--|16|22| |+| | | | | |/ ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ ____________________ /Combination Strikes/________________________________________________ /Buttoms |Move Name |HD|AD|LD|BD|SD|MG| |B|P|K|D|A|B|\ |___________|_________________________|__|__|__|__|__|__|_|_|_|_|_|_|_| | | 3 (1x) |Snap Jab | 2| 1| 1| 2| 4| 4| | | | | | | | | | 3 (2x) |Back Chop 3 | 2| 1| 1| 2| 4| 4| | | | | | | | | \ 3 (3x) |Clothesline 3 | 4|--|--| 4| 6| 6| | | | | | | |/ ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Section 5-Movelist Changes-------------------------------- Submit some changes, see the contact section for details! Section 6-Strategies-------------------------------------- Heel Play Finlay finds himself most useful as a dirty wrestler, so he can make use of the powerful moves in the dirty grapple, and so forth. However, that does not mean you cannot play a realistic Finlay as a clean wrestler, you simply need to make use of the many hotspots around the arena, as they seem to be geared towards heel wrestlers. I mean, how often to you see a face slamming the opponent crotch-first into the ring post? Regardless, you can score massive head damage using the apron HS, the stairs, tables, ring post, etc. So make sure you do, and you'll find yourself easily in control of most matches. Works against big guys as well! Section 7-FAQ--------------------------------------------- Submit some questions, see the contact section for details! Make it something so obvious that my 3 year old brother could understand it. "WWE SvR07 [wrestler name] Question!" or something similar. Emails go to...
