If you found some optional bosses I didn't find please e-mail me about it. Data of Wild Arms 3 version I played. System: PlayStation 2 Region: NTSC USA/Canada Legal Notics. You're free to download and copy this FAQ to anyone you know as long as it's unprofitable and this FAQ is unmodified. When uploading this FAQ to please let me know. In most cases it won't be a problem if you do. (C) Copyright JBC-Soft, Jeroen Broks (Tricrorka), 2003-2005, All rights reserved FAQ revisions ============= 2.0 Sept, 23th, 2003 Revised FAQ, and added Bad News and Emperor Marduck 2.1 Sept, 25th, 2003 - Added Ragu Ragla, John Dee & Mothership - Revision on Kraken & Powered Trask 2.2 July, 13th, 2005 Reviewed all my strategies again, and changed some of which a better strategy came up. Also updated the way of contacting me. A few important notes: ====================== 01 - I played the U.S. version of WA3, therefore I only use the U.S. names.... If there are important translations notes you think I should know about, mail me and I'll update the guide! 02 - Before you mail me regarding this FAQ please check my list of standard replies first... There are some kind of mail I no longer wish to reply to... If you have questions you can always ask me, I can't promise I can answer it, but I'll always try! 03 - WA3 does not have equipment like any other RPGs... You can equip certain guardians to people... I make note of my Guardian equipment every time I change it... You can use other combinations, but this FAQ does not go about it! 04 - Some bosses keep on coming back, they are noted with an "R" You also got the "Prophets" to deal with, they are noted with a "P". Bosses marked with a "G" are guardians. You can summon them after defeating them. 05 - To give you an indication I give my levels at each boss... I do not recommend them, though... If you are a newbie I strongly suggest to have much higher levels especially with the bosses who are "Medium" or "Hard"... WA3 has much bosses which are miserable excuses for bosses, but also true killers... My levels are basically a ultimate minimum, since I hate levelling up... 06 - Only use HP recovery items in cases of true emergency... There's no place where you can buy that stuff... If you find the "Girl Of The Garden", you'll be able to seed and harvest those things... 07 - Keep on healing in normal battles, in spite of your "Vitality" system... running out can mean you can't start a certain boss at full HP and that sucks! 08 - Never forget to upgrade your weapons... It seems obvious, but it can make a true diffrence... 09 - Some bosses can do more moves in one turn, or react to your move regardless of whose turn it is... I'll make note of it whenever that happens... 10 - Some bosses may be encountered sooner as stated here... That's not an error in this FAQ... Sometimes you may do things elseway as the story wants you to, but in the end it'll get you nowhere (expect that you got special bonusses sooner) unless you did other things first, however it makes that some bosses are encountered sooner... Just look through the FAQ for it... Standard replies to e-mails: ============================ If you send me the next comments per e-mail you may find my standard reply below 01 - Tric, you suck in levelling up! Reply: I know! 02 - Tric, I beat those bosses at much lower levels! Reply: Good for you! 03 - Some bosses you stated as "Hard" were easy! Reply: I found by myself that I disagreed with other BOSS FAQs (I won't name anything in particular), that I strongly disagree with difficulties... The difficulties I give are always stated higher than I think they are, since I want to see the game as I would if I never played RPG before... 04 - Hey idiot, fix your FAQ Reply: Anyone who thinks I'm gonna embarras myself replying to this is a natural born dreamer! If you e-mail me, I got heavy spam filters installed, rejecting all mail from people I don't know, if you e-mail me make sure to add "[Tric-FAQ]" in the subject field, my spam filters will know that you are contacting me because of a FAQ and then your mail will reach me... Translation things I know: ========================== Once again the translation is crap... Here are things that became crapped up in the translation and might lead to misunderstanding when using my FAQ from the JAP version Richard = Leehalt Milady = Melody Malic = Malik Jannearth = Janus Tod = Todd The Heroes: =========== Name: Virginia Maxwell Age: 18 Gender: Female Height: 5'4" Weight: 108 lbs Weapon: Rapiier Ez BAntorian 93R Description: An unsure girl, with strong desire... The journey will surely make her thinking and mentally stronger... Advantage: Fastest of the bunch, good magic and therefore the best choice for the healer Disadvantage: Weak attack and weak defense. Weakest of the bunch... Name: Gallows Caradine Age: 24 Gender: Male Height: 6'3" Weight: 220 lbs Weapon: Modified Coyote M17F Description: Meant to be a priest but became a drifter. But he really doubts his choice now... Advantage: Pretty quick Disadvantage: Attacking leaves much to be desired Name: Jet Enduro Age: Unknown Height: 5'4" Weight: 126 lbs Weapon: Airget-lamh B/V2 Description: Only interested in money and being alone Advantage: Pretty strong Disadvantage: Defense pretty low, and pretty slow Name: Clive Winslett Age: 30 Height: 5'8" Weight: 152 lbs Weapon: Gungnir HAG35 Description: Experienced Drifter. Big support for Virginia, and knowledgable about ancient things... Still there's much he wants to sort out Advantage: Strongest of the crew Disadvantage: Slowest of the crew... Standard layout for Bosses: =========================== Before going into detail about bosses I first come up with the next data: Boss 01: Big Monster <- The number of the boss, plus it's name Aka: I'm Tough <- Funny description of the boss, sometimes I hide a hint in the AKA Difficulty: Medium <- General estimated difficulty... What can we expect. My Levels: Virginia 4 <- My levels Location: Old Hut <- Name of the Dungeon where to find this boss How to meet: Press button <- How to meet (optional bosses only) Experience: 150 <- EXP you get for this boss Cash: 100 Gella <- Money you get for this boss Preperations: Have full HP <- Not always noted by every boss, but there when some special preperations are recommended Reward: Potion Berry <- Special Reward. Only noted By the optional bosses Invoke: ======= Here I note how I invoked my guardians right on the time I get them, I use this for all bosses, except stated otherwise... you can use your own way, but this faq will not go about it Virginia: Flash Hit | Terra Roar | Love Charm (Stare Roe) | (Grudiev) | (Raftina) Clive: Fiery Rage | Cosmic Cog | Luck (Moor Guault) | (Dan Dairam) | (Chappapanga) Jet: Moon Spark | Hope Shard | Brave Seal (Celedue) | (Zephyr) | (Justine) Gallows: Aqua Wisp | Wind | Lust Jaw (Schturdark) | (Fengalon) | (Luceid) Bosses Prologue: ================ The bosses in the prologue may be encountered in random order. I take the order I encountered them... Boss 01: Hob Gob Boss Aka: I look the same, don't I? Difficulty: Very extreemly easy My Levels: Virginina 2 Location: Gob's Mansion Experience: 24 Cash: 60 Gella Just keep on attacking until the game tells you about the "Gatling" force... When that happens, use that force to finish him off... Keep an eye on your HP, though... Boss 02: Kesaran Pasaran Aka: We keep on multiplying Difficulty: Easy My Levels: Gallows 3 Location: Fallen Sanctuary Experience: ? Cash: ? Generally speaking there's no point in killing them one by one... As soon as one is gone, they'll put in another one... So to win this fight, you must kill them all at once... Build up enough FP to use "Extension" (25 FP), then use the skill extension with "Pressure" to finish them all on once... (Not "refrigerate"... They might survive that) Boss 03: Tatzelwurm Aka: Wasn't I a normal enemy before? Difficulty: Not hard at all My levels: Jet 3 Location: ? Experience: 48 Cash: 52 Gella This beast is very fast... Build up to 25 FP and the beast will start regenerating... Use accelator and a normal attack to finish it off.. Note! Only when you use "Accelerator" you can kill it. Even when you are level 100! Boss 04a: (R) Goldrake (1) Aka: You'll never hit me! Difficulty: Nah.... My Levels: Clive 5 Location: Den Of Miasma Experience: 64 Cash: 60 Gella You can hit it the first few rounds, but then it'll start flying and then you can't hit him any more. If that happens, guard to reload your ammo and use Lock On to finish this fight... Boss 04b: (R) Goldrake (2) Aka: Did you really think you killed me? Difficulty: Well.... My Levels: Clive 6 Location: ? Experience: Cash: This time it'll be flying from the start... Just keep on shooting until you reach FP 25, then reload and finish him off with Lock On... You might have to do this twice... Oh yeah, you may want to use the antidote to cure the poison he puts on you... As far as my knowledge goes, he only does that once... Boss 05: (R) Janus, Romero & Dario (1) Aka: A bunch of suckers Difficulty: Not to be underestimated My Levels: Virginia 3, Clive 6, Jet 4, Gallows 4 Location: On the roof of a train Experience: 56 Cash: 200 Gella The game is so funny to tell you about the Mystic Force... But those suckers who wrote the game didn't realize you'll never have enough FP to use it, and that's basically what makes this fight pretty hard... Plus everybody is way to slow... Concequence... Chances that you loose Virginia are great, and you'll get yourself in even more trouble if you revive her... All that will happen is that she'll get shot out again before you can do anything about it... When one of them is out you won't have any more trouble... I personally let Virginia always defend, let Gallows do the healing and the others do the dirty work. Bosses Chapter 1: ================= Boss 06: (G) Schturdark Aka: Splash Difficulty: Medium My Levels: Virginia 3, Clive 7, Jet 5, Gallows 5 Location: Fallen Sanctuary Experience: 34 Cash: Nada His summon move will kill Viriginia... She's so weak at this point... If you have some hours you might try to level her up before starting (waste of time though, you get too little EXP in these parts)... Except for the summon there's hardly danger... You don't have to be affraid of his counters... They mostly miss... Boss 07: (G) Fengalon Aka: Nice kitty Difficulty: Medium My Levels: Virginia 4, Clive 7, Jet 5, Gallows 6 Location: Fallen Sanctuary Experience: 34 Cash: Nothing at all Once again Viriginia is your biggest problem (why did she had to be so weak)... With my Virginia one level higher this time she could survive the summon, but be careful when letter her attack... He sometimes counters, and if that happens on the wrong moment, Viriginia will die... But you will need enough FP for Virginia to let her heal (is not powerfull by the way... The healing in this game sucks and will give you a hard time in general)... If you can be carefull with Viriginia there won't be much of a problem though.... Boss 08: (G) Grudiev Aka: Let's shake the ground Difficulty: Medium My Levels: Virginia 4, Clive 7, Jet 6, Gallows 6 Location: Fallen Sanctuary Experience: 34 Cash: Did you need the cash? Your one and only problem is... I won't say it you already know by now that that's Virginia... It's unbelievable how weak she is... I even had less problems with WA2's Tim who is also awfully weak... Okay enough about that... Just like the others, and be prepared to loose Virginia... Again! Boss 09: (G) Moor Gault Aka: Burn, baby, burn! Difficulty: Medium My levels: Virigina 4, Clive 7, Jet 6, Gallows 6 Location: Fallen Sanctuary Experience: 34 Cash: Does a godlike creature have money in the first place? You'll probably only need 2 turns to win this fight, however, don't worry about Virginia... The chance that she'll survive the summon move is 0% Boss 10: (R) Janus, Romero & Dario (2) Aka: We're BACK!! Difficulty: Medium My Levels: Virginia 5, Clive 8, Jet 7, Gallows 7 Location: Ruins Of Memory Experience: ? Cash: ? They are back again... And with a new move called "Trinity". That move can really hurt you bad. But even Virginia should be able to take that blow... Focus all your strength on Janus. If you attack Dario and Romero they'll always be healed by Janus regardless if it's his turn or not... When you're done with Janus he'll make a run for it, leaving Dario and Romero behind. Now they can no longer do "Trinity", however, now they'll attack you which they didn't do with Janus around... However, it's not really that hard any more by now... Boss 11: (R) The Schroedingers (1) Aka: The Frustration Foundation Difficulty: Medium My Levels: Virginia 8, Clive 10, Jet 9, Gallows 9 Location: Serpent's Coil Experience: 92 Cash: 100 Gella First of all, focus all your power on Afro (his name is Todd, btw) When you don't this fight will take forever, he'll heal up everybody regardless if it's his turn or not, except himself... Once he's gone, aim for the Blonde (Maya). The Afro (Todd) uses a sword technique like Jack in WA1, Fast Draw. Especially Psycho Crack is dangerous. The Timide Boy (Alfred) will use explosives, but is not really the big treat. The catlike creature (Shady) will use breath attacks which are pretty strong. Keeping an eye on your HP is really important here. You can set Todd's Afro on fire with a fire attack spell, that will make him loose HP every turn... Boss 12: (R) Janus, Romero & Dario (3) Aka: Again? Difficulty: Not super hard My Levels: Virginia 8, Clive 10, Jet 9, Gallows 9 Location: Serpent's Coil Experience: 150 Cash: 164 Gella (thank you Chino Vergel de Dios) Allergic to repeative bosses? Then you are really playing the wrong game. But this time you have to use a diffrent technique... The moves are the same as ever, however now Romero and Dario will be attacking from the start. Don't attack Janus now... He'll swap places with either Romero or Dario, so you can't hit him. So finish the others off first, and then aim for Janus. Maybe pointless to say, but watch out for the Trinity Attack. However when one of these suckers is gone they cannot do that move any more. Boss 13: Trask Aka: Am I cliché, or what? Difficulty: Medium My Levels: Virginia 9, Clive 10, Jet 19, Gallows 10 Location: Ka Dingel Experience: 250 Cash: 1500 Gella Let's dig back into our memory... Wild Arms 1, Alhazad send this best after us when we entered the Pandemonium. Wild Arms 2, Judecca sends the beast after us in a deserted town, and does it again making Ashley discover his secret powers... And here he is again... I suppose the creators really loved this animal... But to the point... Cast a cremate over it first (you be countered with Bio Missle)... Then continue with Refridgerate. Now Trask's defenses will drop. His attacks are still nasty, and he's poisonous, but after his defense is down, he'll die soon. Boss 14: (R) Janus (1) Aka: Janus van Nepscheuten Difficulty: Incredibly easy at the start, extremely hard at the end... My Levels: Virginia 10, Clive 11, Jet 11, Gallows 10 Location: Ka Dingel Experience: 310 Cash: 380 Gella At the beginning of this fight none of his attacks are impressive, so that's dealt with easily... However when he's nearly out of HP he'll start with Rising Nova... Since your healing skills are insignicificant throughtout the ENTIRE GAME, you realize that you can't do anything about it but to kill him as quickly as possible... That Virginia's faster might help... A tiny little bit... If Gallows has the Aqua Wisp and thus the healing spell it will be stronger than on any other char. Alas not strong enough to heal against Rising Nova. Chapter 2 Bosses: ================= Boss 15: (P) Melody (1) (Game calls her "Robed Woman") Aka: All I can do is being beautiful Difficulty: Hard My Levels: Virginia 11, Clive 12, Jet 12, Gallows 11 Location: ? Experience: 390 Cash: 420 Gella Melody will only attack Clive, so healing up by default is the best you can do, if Clive falls, she'll use "Inhalator" trying to finish you all of pretty quickly, so keep Clive alive at all costs, her attacks are heavy though... The "Heal" spell is too weak. Heal berries will do a better job. Boss 16: (R) Janus (2) Aka: I'll strike you down, and again and again! Difficulty: Hard My Levels: Virginia 12, Clive 12, Jet 12, Gallows 12 Location: ? Experience: 540 Cash: 580 Gella He always has one turn of Negative Rainbow, the other is "Dark Spear"... Also beware that in the "Dark Spear" round he can counterattack... Let Virginia heal constantly and sacrificing a few healing berries is needed to survive, when the fight is lasting a few turns you might consider "Mystic"... He's not got many HP and thank the Lord for those tiny things... Boss 16: (P) Malik (Game calls him "Slickster") Aka: You can't hit me! Difficulty: Medium My Levels: Virginia 13, Clive 13, Jet 13, Gallows 13 Location: Lunatic Garden Experience: ? Cash: ? Preperations: Bring a lot of "Toy Hammers", "Pin Wheels" "Peppy Acorns" and "Medicines". As his appearance may suggest bullets will straigt go through his body without even hurting him... That problem can be fixed by either only fighting him with spells (but that's the hard way), you can also cast "decellerate" on him, and he'll take solid form so you can hit him. Malik will overload you with status change moves, and that's your biggest problem. Just try to keep Clive attacking all the time, if you spend to much time on recovering status changes the fight may take forever! Boss 17: King Of Angolmois Aka: Do you remember me? Difficulty: Hard My Levels: Virginia 14, Clive 13, Jet 13, Gallows 13 Location: Lunatic Garden Experience: 600 Cash: 650 Gella You remember the undefeateble Angol Moa from WA1? You remember the even more undefeatable Angolmois from WA2? How much more cliché could it get? However in WA2 and WA1 it was optional, but that's yet not the case. Watch out for "the 7th moon", like always that his heaviest attack... You can finish him off quickly by casting "Grav" all the time. NOTE! Don't start e-mailing me saying that he doesn't have "7th Moon", cause he used it serveral times on me. But it's very well possible he doesn't use it on you. That's just a matter of luck, though. If you are unlucky he uses it all the time. Boss 18: (R) Jansa, Vendidurt & Wisrapt (1) Aka: The Imbeciel Knights Difficulty: Hard My Levels: Virginia 14, Clive 14, Jet 14, Gallows 14 Location: Sand Canal Experience: 360 Cash: 420 Gella These guys are shit... Using protect spells is senseless since it'll all be dispelled... You must simply give it all you got As soon as one is out, the fight will be a lot easier... Suggestion: Go for the red one first! He will otherwise always heal the others, and when he doesn't need to heal he'll use instant kill moves. Boss 19: (R) Jansa, Vendidurt & Wisrapt (2) Aka: Here we go again! Difficulty: Hard My Levels: Viriginia 14, Clive 14, Jet 14, Gallows 14 Location: Sand Canal Experience: ? Cash: ? Same as before... Boss 20: Jansa, Vendidurt, Wisrapt & Jasteuch Aka: There's more! Difficulty: Even Harder! My Levels: Virigina 15, Clive 15, Jet 15, Gallows 14 Location: Sand Canal Experience: 480 Cash: 560 Gella Oh damn, one more, and a really strong one, I must say! I say to go for the Green first, then the red, then the white then the blue... This is the very last time you meet these idiots... Boss 21: Janus (3) Aka: Only 3 turns for you Difficulty: You'll never win... Just stay alive for 3 turns My levels: Virginia 15, Clive 15, Jet 15, Gallows 15 Location: Sand Canal Experience: 0 - You didn't win, remember Cash: Absolutly nothing! Do what you like, be sure you survive for 3 turns... Then Janus will put everybody down to 1 HP and make a run for it... Advisable not to attack in the last turn... Then his counters are deadly and can make you loose the battle... Boss 22: Mono-Eye Titan Aka: I'll keep an eye on you Difficulty: Very easy My Levels: Virginia 15, Clive 15, Jet 15, Gallows 15 Location: ? Experience: 900 Cash: 1100 Gella Your healing skills may be insignificant, but the attacks of this boss are insignificant as well, so for the first time since long you got an easy boss... Using Spectre works great. Boss 23: Hecto-Eye Titan Aka: I keep another eye on you Difficulty: A bit harder My Levels: Virginia 16, Clive 16, Jet 16, Gallows 16 Location: ? Experience: 1,200 Cash: 1,400 The attacks are not much more powerfull that by its progressor, but this time it counters everything with "Dark Matter", and that makes him harder... Spectre also doesn't hurt him any more. You can try to cast "Reflect" over everyone. That can have funny effects. Boss 24: Asgard (1) Aka: Me Crush You! Difficulty: Not that hard My Levels: Virginia 16, Clive 17, Jet 17, Gallows 17 Location: Leyline Observertory Experience: ? Cash: ? In the beginning he'll only be using barriers... In those turns he's invincible... However if you keep on shooting on him you can build up FP which could be handy for nice spells, summons or Gatling :) Later he'll attack certain persons... Your healing is not strong enough to keep it up but before you get really in trouble Asgard will knock you all out in once... When that happens you won the fight... If you die any moment sooner, you don't... Boss 25: (R) The Schroedingers (2) Aka: The Magic Frustration Foundation Difficulty: Very Fucking Hard My Levels: Virginia 18, Clive 19, Jet 19, Gallows 18 Location: Gemstone Cave Experience: 1,200 Cash: 1,300 Gella Basically this fight is EXACTLY the same as before... Alfred will use explosives that do not really much damage. Todd uses Fast Draw and will heal regardless if it's his turn or not, and Shady will breath fire or ice... The big diffrence and what makes this fight awfully hard is the fact is that Maya took shape of a magician and can use magic, and she'll always affect the whole party... The best technique is once again to aim for Todd first (if you don't want this fight to take forever)... With Todd out, the healer is gone, plus aside from Maya his moves are the most irritating to... After that go straight for Maya... Getting Maya down is all that matters to win this fight, and you don't want to let this fight take any longer that strictly neccesary! A few things that can make this fight a little bit easier... Make sure you maxed out all Elemental Ward skills like water ward, fire ward and stuff... Second, cast fire over Todd, and his afro will start burning making him loose HP every turn... (Something that happened to me, In the first turn the one with the fire guardian confused before he could set Todd's afro on fire... If that happens, you'd better reset your PS2 and start over, unless Maya didn't use the reflect move)... Boss 26: Diobarg Aka: I hate your horses Difficulty: No big deal My Levels: Virginia 19, Clive 19, Jet 19, Gallows 19 Location: Filgaia Experience: 3500 Cash: 3800 Gella This boss ain't optional, you need to kill it if you want to obtain the dragon fosiles you need for the sandcraft... However you can do this boss later, but I prefer a bit sooner, since he's pretty easy, and gives very much EXP... One thing you should know... Since you need to be horseriding to encounter this boss, you can NOT do normal attacks when you're out of bullets... Of course, guarding still reloads... You could never expect to find a boss so easy, since your healing skills are insignificant to his attacks... However most of the time he throws turns away in tries to paralyze you which always misses (It never hit me)... His defense my be high (Virginia might not even be able to hurt him at all)... His HP is pretty low, so you won't have that much trouble... Boss 27: Olivier Aka: I couldn't eat Lilka, so I try to eat you! Difficulty: If you kill him in time, easy! My Levels: Virginia 21, Clive 21, Jet 21, Gallows 21 Location: Something with the word "Fortune" in it... Experience: 800 Cash: 1000 Gella Preperations: Ward poison and disease In every move he'll disease everybody, so using medicines and using healing spells is the same as the Chewbacca defense method... IT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE!!!! The best you can do is just to go for it at full force... Most of the time you can kill him before getting into really serious trouble... Boss 28: Janus (4) Aka: Do you already hate me? Difficulty: Hard My levels: Virginia 21, Clive 22, Jet 21, Gallows 21 Location: Same as above Experience: 1,600 Cash: 1,700 Gella Preperations: If you don't have Potion Berries there's no way to win this fight... Impossible to beat, so forget it... Unless... Hey he is under effect of power-up moves... Interesting... use "Eraser" on him and see what happens :) Now you must not expect the easiest battle, but things are much easier now! I guess you know what to expect, so go for it! Boss 29a: Asgard (2a) Aka: Melody help me! Difficulty: Very extremely hard My Levels: Virginia 23, Clive 23, Jet 22, Gallows 23 Location: Faraway Land Experience: 0 (nice for lucky card) :P Cash: You needed the cash? Preperations: Full HP, bring some potion berries, and (odd as it may seem) full VIT. You think it's just you and Asgrad... Wrong... First Asgrad will hurt the whole party VERY bad, and then as an extra disaster Melody will join the fight... There's no point in aiming for Melody since she'll always swap places with Asgrad... Asgrad however is impossible to hurt because of his continous barrier moves... So free game for Melody here... In the first turn you might want to anticipate, and let your slow party members (like Clive and Jet) do some healing... That makes the situation a little bit better when Melody joins the fight... Melody's attacks are just to finish off what Asgard has created in the first round, so if you can spare the FP, you might want to Mystic a potion berry... If you are lucky you'll only need to do that once... When you hold out long enough, Asgrad will perform a supermove and kill you all... If that happens you've won... If you die any moment sooner, you loose... You will need you VIT to recover completly because right after this fight you'll have to fight Asgard again! Boss 29b: Asgard (2b) Aka: Damn you, Werner! Difficulty: Pretty Easy My Levels: Virginia 23, Clive 23, Jet 22, Gallows 23 Location: Faraway Land Experience: 3,500 Cash: 4,000 Gella If you thought the previous damn fight was over... You're wrong... Now for the second part of the game... But he's very easy this time... Your healing spells are not enough to heal completly, but strong enough to keep on having the helping hand to keep it up with his attacks... After a few rounds, Melody will appear and take Asgard out Boss 30: Hound, Feline, Donkey & Flier Aka: Malik's Pets Difficulty: Not that super hard My Levels: Virginia 24, Clive 23, Jet 23, Gallows 23 Location: Survey Point #17 Experience: ? Cash: ? These guys are idiots.... I mean, how clever can you be if one fellow casts powerdown moves over you just to be dispelled by the other... And so they throw much turns away... These guys are not worth the trouble... Boss 31: Humpty & Dumpty Aka: Do we really look like eggs? Difficulty: Very extremely hard My Levels: Viriginia 25, Clive 24, Jet 24, Gallows 24 Location: Survey Point #17 Experience: ? Cash: ? Preperations: Have to ward all elementals as much as possible... Humpy (the small one) will only cast healing and protection spells, so he's pretty harmless... Dumpty will cast all kinds elemental spells... I go for Dumpty first, by attacking and make sure that the one equipped with Stare Roe will reach FP 100, and then summon him... With a little luck that might be the end of Dumpty, and when Dumpty is gone, there's no way to loose this battle since Humpty never attacks... (2 or 3 rounds attacking for Jet & clive, Virigina using carrots on herself, Gallows healing is the trick, then let Viriginia use the summon. Once again, this thrick is dangerous and needs be be timed exactly right). It's really important that the summon is lethal... If not you can start all over... Humpty will heal Dumpty if it's not... You can best only attack for say, two rounds, and then get over with the summon... Dumpty has pretty little HP... Going for Humpty first is also a technique to prevent the critical heal... However, this technique will leave you longer with the awfull spells of Dumpty... Good consideration which path you follow is important... You can't rely on a plan B... The only plan B is to die and use a gimel coin to start over! Boss 32: (R) The Schroedingers (3) Aka: The Martial Arts Frustration Foundation Difficulty: Medium My Levels: Virginia 26, Clive 26, Jet 26, Gallows 26 Location: Survey Point #17 Experience: 4,400 Cash: 4,600 Gella Until now it was only taking down Maya that counted... Not this time... This time you need to cut down all four of them... This time, not Maya, but Todd is the most dangerous one... He has very ferocious attacks, can cause confusion (as usual) and is once again the healer of the bunch... So take him down as soon as you can... You can be happy that once again you can set his Afro on fire which will make him loose HP every turn :) Once Todd is out, I say to go for Maya... Now she's the most dangerous one... After she's out you decide for yourself who you want to take out first, Shady or Alfred... Boss 33: Pyrodrake Aka: Relight my fire Difficulty: Easy My Levels: Virginia 28, Clive 27, Jet 27, Gallows 27 Location: Infintum Experience: 3,800 Cash: 4,000 Gella Just heal any wound, no matter how tiny, and go for it... If you do it this way, you can hardly loose... Don't use ice attacks on him, even though it's his weakness. He'll counter it with Volcannon Trap. Boss 34a: (R) Asgard (3a) Aka: Power up systems are down Difficulty: Easy My Levels: Viriginia 28, Clive 28, Jet 28, Gallows 28 Location: Infinitum Experience: 4,200 Cash: 4,500 Gella This guy is awfully easy, if you just know the trick... Let only one man (I chose Clive to do the job) to attack... And I used Virginia as healer... The others will have to nothing but guard... Asgrad will do nothing at all... The only thing he does is countering your moves... So my technique, Clive attacks, Asgard counters, and Virginia will heal... When Clive is still seriously wounded, stop attacking, give Virginia the time to heal him, Asgard won't do anything during that time, and start the cycle all over again, and again until the fight is over... This method takes time... If you want a quicker method you'll give yourself one hard job, so my advise is not to do that!!! Boss 34b: (R) Asgard (3b) Aka: Me now super strong Difficulty: Don't panic My Levels: Virginia 29, Clive 29, Jet 28 Location: Same as above :) Experience: 0 Cash: Pity... All you need to do is survive for 3 turns... If you do the fight will be broken off... Not that hard (so don't panic for Asgard's strong attacks)... Boss 35: Nidhogg Aka: Double Time Difficulty: Not superhard My Levels 1: Virginia 30, Clive 30, Jet 29, Gallows 29 My Levels 2: Virginia 31, Clive 31, Jet 30, Gallows 30 Location: Nidhogg Pass Experience: 4,000 Cash: 8,800 Gella You'll encounter this boss twice, and both time the fight's gonna be EXACTLY the same, so that's why I'll only name him once... The difficulty of this boss does not really lie in hard attacks... More that he's working with pretty nasty status changes... "Confused" and "Heartbroken".... If you can bring some items to cure that, this one is not going to be a true treat... Boss 36: (P) Leehalt (1) Aka: I give to you what you give to me Difficulty: Very extremely easy My Levels: Virginia 31, Clive 31, Jet 30, Gallows 30 Location: Nidhogg Pass Experience: 4,300 Cash: 4,500 Gella If you wanna be funny to know how easy he is, then guard for a few turns... Won't get you anywhere, but then you see what Leehalt will do... Indeed NOTHING AT ALL!!! That is what makes him so easy... But let's say Clive attacks and let's say he deal 354 damage to Leehalt, Leehalt will then start to move with "Rule Of Vengeance" which will deal 354 damage to Clive... So basically all he does is giving to you what you give to him... The best results are made when you do this slowly... Let one person do the attack, once Leehalt countered it let your healerheal all your wonds until you are fully healed and then attack again... This is time consuming, but if you do it this way, the chances of victory are very high... I used Viriginia to attack (she does low damage so will get low damage back), and I used Gallows for the healing... (Will take a long time, and make this fight boring, but it's the safest way). A few notes: - If you do a critical hit, you might get killed instantly if you deal more HP than you have... - if you use "Gatling", don't worry, "Rule Of Vengeance", does not care about the total ammount, only about the last ammount of damage... Boss 37: Balazs Aka: Why am I so ugly, mommy? Difficulty: A matter of luck My Levels: Virginia 31, Clive 32, Jet 31, Gallows 31 Location: Nidhogg Pass Experience: ? Cash: ? Balazs has a pattern. Twice outer world, and then agony effect. After that he starts all over. Outer world will half your HP and make Balazs invicible for the rest of that turn. Only Viriginia is faster than him so whatever you let the others do is senseless. When he comes with Agony effect, it's handy to heal to make sure you will survive it. Boss 38: (P) Melody (2) Aka: Miss Venom Difficulty: Depends on your ammount of Moonstones My Levels: Virigina 32, Clive 32, Jet 31, Gallows 31 Location: Yggdrasil Experience: 2,500 Cash: 2,700 Gella One question? How many moonstones did you get... Could you protect anyone against poison? If that's that case there's no way to loose this battle, since Melody will mostly use poison attacks, counter with poison, and hardly do anything else... If there are people unprotected, then don't let them attack her... If everyone is fully protected, there's no way you can loose... If not, then I hope you brought some antidotes... (Of course, you can also cast "Status lock" on unprotected chars). Boss 39: (P) Malik (2) Aka: Mama's boy! Difficulty: A matter of luck My levels: Virginia 32, Clive 33, Jet 31, Gallows 31 Location Yggdrasil Experience: 2,750 Cash: 3,000 Gella Standard routine for every time you'll encounter Malik is to open with decelerate, to make shooting him make sense (unless you want to use attacking magic to kill him)... For the rest... If you have a clear chime, now is the time to equip it... Malik can confuse everybody in once and it seldom misses... He also has powerfull attacks.... If you have potion berries, you can only pray that Viriginia gets the chance to use one with Mystic... However giving her the clear chime is not always getting you anywhere... This fight is merely a rough guess of how things will work out... Not an ideal situation... Boss 40a: (P) Leehalt (2) Aka: I do a little bit more, but I'm still lazy Difficulty: A little bit harder My levels: Virginia 32, Clive 33, Jet 32, Gallows 33 Location: Yggdrasil Experience: See next boss Cash: See next boss This fight contains two parts... In the first part you'll be fighting Leehalt.... Halfaway the fight Leehalt will make a run for it, and Janus will take in his place. The second part of the fight is described below... As for Leehalt... This time he might do some damage even when you don't attack him, so he's a little bit harder, but most of the time, he'll be "Watching your move"... But he'll always counter with "Rule Of Vengeance"... If you keep the same formula as before, you should be alright, but be prepared, though... Boss 40b: (R) Janus (5) Aka: Our last meeting Difficulty: Hard My Levels: Virginia 32, Clive 33, Jet 32, Gallows 33 Location: Yggdrasil Experience: 6,500 Cash: 7,000 The difficulty of this fight can strongly depend on how well you got out of the first part of the battle with Leehalt... Janus is easier than before, but still awfully hard... On rare occassions he uses Negative Rainbow... If you are unlucky he uses it a lot... Having some potion berries for emergencies is strongly recommended... Boss 41: (P) Leehalt, Melody & Malik (1) Aka: The Eliminate Scanners Difficulty: Medium My Levels: Virginia 33, Clive 34, Jet 32, Gallows 32 Location: Yggdrasil Experience: ? Cash: ? Same procedure for all three of them... All they do is Eliminate Scanner all the time... Just go for them in any order you like... Be alert to heal in time... Chapter 3 Bosses: ================= Boss 42: Buer Aka: Race against the clock Difficulty: Easy My Levels: Virginia 34, Clive 35, Jet 33, Gallows 33 Location: Iron Dragon's Nest Experience: 9,000 Cash: 10,000 Gella Preperations: Bring some Pixie Dust Take notice of the fact that you must win this battle in time, however the time only runs while the computer is processing the turns... So you can still take your time in entering your moves... I used Virginia as healer, then Gallows is the quickest after Virginia... Let him cast "Spectre", and let Jet and Clive shoot after that... (If you don't use Spectre he'll be invicible, so you need that move to be able to hurt him)... This is a pretty short fight... His paralyzers can be annoying... Boss 43: Scarescrow, Steamgear & Leonhardt Aka: And all the girls say, we're pretty fly for some dumb guys Difficulty: I was not impressed Location: World's footpring Experience: 9,900 Cash: 21,000 Nasty attacks can make the fight hard, but there's actually nothing to fear... The thing you much watch out for is "Hell Size Masquerade" (ScareSrow), since that move can do instant kill... If that's eliminated you got nothing to fear... For summons, I can really recommend Stare Roe... If you have 50 FP or more Stare Roe can really do some damage on Leonhardt and the Scarescrow... Boss 44: Humbaba Aka: You're all dead Difficulty: As long as you're not so foolish to revive the dead, you'll win Location: Something with "Dream" in it... Experience: 10,000 Cash: 12,000 Gella Preperations: Have at least 1 person 100% warded for dead attacks (Dan Dairam has that skill)... Humbaba seems impossible since he has a move that instantly kills you all, and it never misses. First of all. I personally have Clive with Dan Dairam's medium equipped (Cosmic Cog) so he has the "Fallen Ward". If you would happen to have a "Holy Grail" you can also give that skill to somebody else. For the rest keep on casting "Status Lock" on all unprotected party members. That will do the trick. For the rest, he's weak against all elements, so using Gallows to cast some nasty spells works wonders. Boss 45: Chameleon Man Aka: Schele (Dutch word) Difficulty: Well.... Location: Fila Del Fia Experience: 12,000 Cash: 13,000 Gella Okay, protect as many people as you can against dead, and let the others drop dead, and let them stay dead... If you become downhearted, just let it be and go for it... If all people who are not protected against death attacks are dead, and if all the others are downhearted or protected against downhearted, this stupid animal cannot do anything anymore... Don't revive dead, it will only cost turns or items.. Don't cure downhearted, it will only cost items... Let only the strongest (Clive) attack (if possible) since it'll guard itself after every attack for two turns becoming invincible... When you don't care about unprotected people being dead, this will be a boring battle in which nothing happens... Boss 46: (R) The Schroedingers (4) Aka: The Combination Frustration Foundation Difficulty: Very hard Location: Caging Tower Experience: 12,400 Cash: 12,800 Gella Todd, Alfred and Shady will only be doing a combo move (Wild Bunch) which will hurt you bad... However if one of those three is out (I say go for Todd first), things are as they were before... I strongly recommend to take out Alfred and Shady first before you go for Maya... When her HP is low she'll be using the move "Calamity Jane", which is so strong that your chances of survival are only 5% (even with full HP)... Be glad that this is your last fight with these idiots... P.S. If case you forgot, you can still set Todd's afro on fire :) Boss 47: Balal Quo Naga * SANDCRAFT COMBAT* Aka: Nice Sandcraft You Got There Difficulty: Very Extremely Easy My Levels: Virginia 39, Clive 40, Jet 37, Gallows 36 Location: Filgaia Experience: 20,000 Cash: 24,000 Preperations: Have the best gun you can get Note: This battle is done from your Sandcraft I really hope you already found out how the Snadcraft battles work... Build up your FP until you've at least one force level... Be sure to have the best gun before starting or else this won't work... As soon as you can use the gunner, fire all your ammo in once by using the force... If that technique doesn't work, then your gun is too weak... This guy can heal all HP so it's really important to kill him in only once... Plus he can destroy you in once when you are unlucky (With a special lightning move)... So killing in once is all you can do... Boss 48: Lombardia Aka: Transformers, robots in disguise Difficulty: Easy My Levels: Virginia 40, Clive 41, Jet 38, Gallows 37 Location: Dragon's Lair (?) Experience: 13,000 Cash: 28,000 Gella Lombardia is surely not the hardest fight, but being carefull is still a requirement if you want to win this battle. The first few turns are only used for powering up so that makes that the first rounds you can just attack... After that Lombardia will put his attack moves in the battle and then the fight will really start to get serious... (Oh yeah... ever thought of using "Eraser" after the third turn... Then all his powerup has been in vain, haha)... When out of HP, Lombardia will ask a few questions... If you answer ANY of them wrong Lombardia will kill you all... Here are the answers: Question 1 -> 2. I want what you want Question 2 -> 1. Yes! Question 3 -> 3. I will give you something more Question 4 -> 1. Something to quench your desire Boss 49: (P) Leehalt, Melody & Malik (2) Aka: Three Mutated Freaks Difficulty: Can be hard, but when you are lucky no problem My Levels: Virginia 41, Clive 42, Jet 38, Gallows 38 Location: Ruins Of Memory Experience: 15,900 Cash: 16,500 Gella Leehalt is once again on his counter work, so keep killing him for last... Malik needs once again be slowed down first, and Melody will counter everything with poison... That brings us up to date, I think... Malik has nasty attacks with confusion and other nasty things so it's just a suggestion to take him out first, then Melody and like I said Leehalt should be last... Boss 50: (G) Luceid Aka: No Boomerang and no Anastasia Difficulty: Not superhard My Levels: Virginia 41, Clive 43, Jet 39, Gallows 39 Location: Fallen Sanctuary Experience: 8,400 Cash: I hope you don't need it! The first Wild Arms in which you'll get Luceid as a summon... Yes, it's true... Okay, well, Luceid's attacks are nasty but not really dangerous... the summon move "Dark Destruction" can cause trouble, but Luceid doesn't seem that eager to use it... I used Virginia with the heal spell, and if you are lucky it's all you need, as weak as the healing spell may be... Boss 51: (G) Justine Aka: It requires courage to take me on... NOT Difficulty: Easy My Levels: Virginia 43, Clive 45, Jet 41, Gallows 40 Location: Fallen Sanctuary Experience: 8,426 Cash: Very very round number called zero His attacks are crap so you can heal against it easily and his summon move (I think instant kill) misses most of the time... This is an easy win Boss 52: Emphrem Zein Aka: I look like.... something... Difficulty: Easy, if you know the trick... My Levels: Virgina 45, Clive 47, Jet 43, Gallows 43 Location: The Abbyss Experience: 17,000 Cash: 20,000 Just let Clive do all the attacking... Why... The boss prepares a counter move which will hurt you very bad, but Clive is so slow that the effect wears off before Clive can move, so if you do everything with Clive and only Clive, you'll win this fight without loosing one single HP... (Don't use spells... They'll be reflected)... Boss 53: (G) Zephyr Aka: I give you my heart Difficulty: Impossible if you don't know the trick My Levels: Virginia 46, Clive 48, Jet 44, Gallows 44 Location: Fallen Sanctuary Experience: ? Cash: ? Zephyr is easy except his exploder... Use "Reflect" to prevent his "exploder" from hitting you or you're history! Boss 54: (G) Raftina Aka: I love you, baby Difficulty: Pretty hard if you don't know the trick My Levels: Virgina 55, Clive 56, Jet 55, Gallows 54 Location: Fallen Sanctuary Experience: 8,400 Cash: Guess? In the first move give the Flash Hit to Gallows and let him do "Extention-Reflect", and then give the Flash hit back to Viriginia, result: Raftina tries to tie a weakness on you, but will get it herself, now use all kinds of elemental arcana on her... Some of hers might also bounce back... Boss 55: Ose Aka: Slimey Panther Difficulty: Easy My Levels: Virginia 56, Clive 58, Jet 56, Gallows 54 Location Cradle of the metal giant Experience: 4,500 Cash: 9,400 You can't hit Ose with normal attacks, but spells still work... WHen you freeze him it'll take shape of a panther and then you can hit him... His attacks are a laugh, and his paralyzers are not a real threat... Boss 56: (P) Melody & Malik Aka: - Two freaks, freaked out - M & M Difficulty: Medium My Levels: Virginia 56, Clive 58, Jet 56, Gallows 54 Experience: 9,400 Cash: 20,000 Go for Malik first (don't forget to decelerate him)... Malik has nasty status changes... Melody will go for Eleminate scanner all the time, but is no threat... Melody will counter with Venom Strike as usual... Boss 57: Wyvern * AIR COMBAT * Aka: I'm a dragon just like you Lombardia! Difficulty: Not that hard My levels: Virginia 56, Clive 59, Jet 57, Gallows 55 Location: High in the sky :) Experience 5,000 Cash: 10,000 The system will explain how the fighting from Lombardia works... This fight is easy... Just go for it, and don't forget to heal in time... You should be alright... After this fight you will encounter this one as a normal enemy when you fly... Boss 58: Fafnir Aka: I'm BIG!!! Difficulty: Not that hard My Levels: Virginia 57, Clive 59, Jet 57, Gallows 55 Location: Deux Ex Machina (Why do I think this had to be "De Le Metallica"?) Experience: 9,800 Cash: 12,000 Gella WInd may be his weakness, but don't make use of that... You'll be sorry if you use that too much since it'll always be countered with a heavy move... For the rest just keep an eye on your HP... Especially since Fafnir will drop poison that will work anyway, no matter if you have the "Poison Ward" skill or not... No true big deal... Boss 59: (P) Leehalt, Melody Clone & Malik Clone Aka: Attack of the Clones Difficulty: Same as ever My Levels: Virigina 57, Clive 59, Jet 57, Gallows 55 Location: Deux Ex Machina Experience: 18,300 Cash: 19,200 Gella Melody and Malik are dead, so they were replaced by clones... How pathetic... No matter the fighting style s the same, Malik Clone will come with nasty status changes, Melody Clone will use eliminate scanner and counter with Venom Strike, and Leehalt is still real and will most of the time only counter you moves... It's exactly the same strategy as before... Go for Malik Clone first, then Melody Clone and Leehalt himself the last... (But you don't have to decelerate Malik this time)... Boss 60: Siegfried Aka: Zeikfried Difficulty: Pretty Hard My levels: Virginia 57, Clive 59, Jet 57, Gallows 55 Location: Deux Ex Machina Experience: 10,000 Cash: I hope you've enough to buy a cup of coffee :) First use pickpocket on him to steal the Teardrop... if you don't the fight will last forever!!! For the rest he ahs the same moves as Janus used before plus the move "Sieg Impulse"... When you are pretty good in level, you can make it trough easily... Keep an eye on you HP, and use Mystic if you need it... Siegfried does not play games... Still he's much easier than I expected... Boss 61: Dragna Sieg * AIR BATTLE * Aka: The Fafnier Siegfried Hybrid Difficulty: Easy My Levels: Virginia 57, Clive 59, Jet 57, Gallows 55 Location: The sky of Filgaia Experience: 10,000 Cash: 15,000 The last battle in the sky... Just fire your best shots... Keep an eye on your FP, but in most cases you won't even have to heal yourself... Chapter 4 Bosses: ================= Boss 62: Hydra Aka: I'll keep healing so you can't kill me Difficulty: A nasty trick My Levels: Virginia 60, Clive 60, Jet 60, Gallows 55 Location: Sacrificial altar Experience: 10,000 Cash: 24,000 The attacks of this beast are not your problem... It keeps healing itself to 100% so this fight will take forever... However, you can weaken his healing spell with fire attacks... Keep on doing that until the healing spell doesn't work at all... Now you got a free game... Boss 63: Salamandra Aka: Fire in da house Difficulty: ??? My Levels: Virginia 61, Clive 60, Jet 61, Gallows 56 Location: Sacrificial altar Experience: 12,000 Cash: 26,000 I placed in "???" at the difficulty since I played this game twice before writing this FAQ, and I had an awful time at the first time, but I had an easy win on the second time... If you have the person who has "Refridgerate" given the "Fire Ward" then you got a trump card... Use that spell when "Fire Zone" is not active to do a 3000+ attack... That can show him who's the boss... Boss 64: Oops... Forgot to check his name, sorry Aka: I love pain Difficulty: You won't believe how easy he is... My Levels: Virginia 62, Clive 60, Jet 61, Gallows 56 Location: Demondon pillar Experience: ? Cash: ? Cast "Requiem"..... You win.... Boss 65: Asgard (4) Aka: I have to fight, so I fight Difficulty: Hard My levels: Virginia 62, Clive 60, Jet 61, Gallows 56 Location: Demondon pillar Experience: 14,000 Cash: 16,000 ONE WARNING! ASGARD HAS ONE MOVE THAT WILL KILL YOU ALL! YOU MUST SURVIVE IT! DEATH WARD AND STATUS LOCK ARE YOUR ONLY KEYS TO! Okay having said the most important thing I'll say that Asgard's attacks are not as dangerous as before, but not to be underestimated... But having as many people warded for death as possible is your only ticket to win... This time the boss is still dangerous if everyone else is dead... His moves are killers... If you are lucky it may happen that when you are all shielded against death, that he keeps on using his death attack... That can work wonders :) Boss 66: Nebiros Aka: The controllable boss Difficulty: That depends on you My Levels: Virginia 63, Jet 61, Gallows 56 Location: Demondon Pillar - Rear Exp: 25,000 Cash: 12,300 Gella This boss will always use a spell in the element that you choose at the start of each turn... Choose as much as you can the elements you have in a "ward" skill, that will make this fight much easier... WARNING THE NEXT BOSSES WILL BE ENCOUNTERED AT RANDOM HOWEVER, DON'T GO FOR THE DISASTER "LUCK" BEFORE DOING THE OTHERS, OR YOU'LL BE DEAD, UNLESS YOU ARE EXTREMELY HIGH IN LEVEL... THE LUCK MUST ALWAYS BE THE LAST OF THE SEVEN!!! Boss 67: Disaster Wind Aka: I'll blow you away! Difficulty: Not that hard My Levels: Virginia 66, Clive 63, Jet 66, Gallows 57 Location: Nightmare Castle Experience: 10,000 Cash: The money my friend, is blowing in the wind... The attacks are not super, however it may use the summon move of Fengalon against you and that may hurt, but if you are warded for wind, you got one problem less... Boss 68: Disaster Earth Aka: I ain't affraid of no quake Difficulty: The same My Levels: Virginia 66, Clive 63, Jet 66, Gallows 57 Location: Nightmare Castle Experience: 10,000 Cash: It must be lying on the ground somewhere... I can't tell you anything new here, just the same as boss 67 but this time the element is earth... Boss 69: Disaster Light Aka: Let our love, shine a light Difficulty: Do I need to tell you? My Levels: Virginia 67, Clive 63, Jet 67, Gallows 57 Experience: 10,000 Cash: I ain't got any shiney stuff See boss 67, but now the element is Light, so it'll use Stare Roe's attack against you... Boss 70: Disaster Water Aka: Like a bridge over troubled water Difficulty: YAWN! My Levels: Virginia 67, Clive 63, Jet 67, Gallows 58 Experience: 10,000 Cash: I think I dropped at the bottom of the ocean Same as above, but this time with Schturdark's moves... Boss 71: Disaster Fire Aka: Disco Inferno Difficulty: Look to the bosses above, will ya! My Levels: Virginia 67, Clive 63, Jet 67, Gallows 58 Experience: 10,000 Cash: It's all gone in flames Same as above, but this time with Moor Gaults moves... Boss 72: Disaster Moon Aka: The moonlight sonata Difficulty: A little bit harder than the others My Levels: Virginia 67, Clive 64, Jet 67, Gallows 58 Location: Nightmare Castle Experience: 10,000 Cash: I never found one single coin on the moon! Basically same as above, but the "Merciless Queen" move can hurt you pretty bad, and there's no way to ward it... That makes this guy a little bit harder, still not extreme.... Boss 73a: Disaster Luck Aka: Lucky Lips Difficulty: Hmmm hmmm My Levels: Viriginia 67, Clive 64, Jet 67, Gallows 58 Location: Nightmare Castle Experience: None, see details Cash: Obviously not lucky enough... The same as before and he uses the move of Chappapanga... Be sure to have done the other disasters first or you will not survive what happens next... The disaster will morph into the Tiamat Boss 73b: Tiamat Aka: Remember me from Breath Of Fire III? Difficulty: Depends on how many disasters you've beaten My Levels: Virginia 67, Clive 64, Jet 67, Gallows 58 Location: Nightmare Castle Experience: 30,000 Cash: Nope... Not there... The tiamat will each turn use the move of the Disaster Luck and all the other disasters you haven't beaten... If you haven't beaten the other disasters it's not likely you're going to win unless you are at very high levels... If you did beat the other disasters this fight is still hard, but the chances to win are significantly higher... ONE WARNING!!! THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE TO SAVE THE GAME!!! AFTER TAKING ON THE NEXT BOSS, YOUR GIMEL COINS ARE DISABLED AND THE MEMORY STATUES WILL NO LONGER OPERATE!!! IF THERE'S STILL OPTIONAL STUFF YOU WANT TO DO, DO IT NOW!!! Boss 74: Beatrice Aka: Don't confuse me with the Dutch Queen Difficulty: Easy My Levels: (Lost data due to an electric malfunction) (I can say that Virginia was level 71) Location 1: Nightmare castle Location 2: Ark of Destiny Experience: - Cash: In your dreams Ward sleep with alarm clocks... If all partymembers are warded you've nothing to fear... You'll encounter her twice. Both battles are the same. Boss 75: Nega Filgaia * FINAL BOSS * Aka: I keep changing Difficulty: Pending on form My Levels: (Lost data due to an electrice malfunction) Location: Ark of Destiny Experience: - Cash: - When typing this an malfunction in my electricity supply killed ALL my data, so forgive me any mistakes I had to do, since I had to do the first 7 forms from from my memory... This boss has 11 forms... Don't use your summons on ANY of them until I tell you to do so Form 1 Looks like: ??? Difficulty: Not hard Counters everything. May clone itself. No big deal. Form 2 Looks like: Something hatched from an egg Difficulty: Annoying Paralyzes you and can make the battle start over Form 3 Looks like: ?? Difficulty: ?? Sorry, I don't remember this form, and due to the electric malfunction my data is lost... Wait for my update Form 4 Looks like: Giant Ameuba Difficulty: Trick Let Viriginia have 100 FP and Dan Dairam Cast replay over Clive and let Clive attack in the same turn... Repeat this pattern over and over Form 5 Looks like: 5 Flashing Lizards Difficulty: A trick Don't ATTACK!!!!! Let two persons do the attack with two OPPOSITE elements Possible examples: let one use fire and the other ice, or let one do light the other darkness Form 6 Looks like: Two pathetic dinosaurs Difficulty: ANnoying Save Clive up to 100 FP... Cast Hyper over him and let him use Gatling on the 2nd specimen... After the second one is gone, the other is easy... Form 7 Looks like: Dragon Difficulty: Easy Attack and heal the wounded, it's as simple as that Form 8 Looks like: Something pathetic Difficulty: Easy Attack and heal the wounded... Save your FP... you will need it for the next two forms Form 9 Looks like: Dark thing with wings Difficulty: Terrible Unless You Know The Trick All attacks will be put the the side kicks which are invulnerable to anything... The best thing to do is to summon guardians AT FULL FP ONLY... That's the best way so far... Darkness is his forte... Nevertheless, it has no weakness Form 10 Looks like: Something holy with angel wings Difficulty: Terrible Works the same as form 9, but this time the forte is holy... The way of working remains the same... FINAL FORM Looks like: Something that grows tentacles Difficulty: Awfull Problem 1: Attacks won't hurt him Problem 2: It sommons help Problem 3: After 4 turns it'll use an awfull move... It's only the main part that counts... The tentacles can be destroyed, but once you destroyed them all they will be resummoned... Once you destroyed the main part you win the battle and the game... With the Violator (finest arts maxed out), and the prism stick you can kill him in one turn if you use gatling without bullets and 100 FP The tentacles it summons: - Oricoflagamus - Covers Water & Darkness + MAG up - Matricaria - Covers Ice & Earth + DEF up - Krukmer - Covers Light & Thunder + MGR up - Vanda - Covers Fire & Wind + RFX up Optional Bosses: ================ Optional Boss 01: Powered Trask Aka: Kill me when you have 3 hours spare time Difficulty: Medium My levels: Virgina 58, Clive 54, Jet 54, Gallows 53 Location: Ka Dingel How to meet: Use the Kramer Dolls on the holograpic thing halvaway the tower Experience: 65,000 Cash: 78,000 Preperations: Be sure to have the "Lust Jaw" medium Reward: Golden Dawn - Doubles VITALITY effect Beware his powerfull attacks! For the rest, keep using Dark Luceid until it's dead! Optional Boss 02: Bombur Aka: I won't save your game, so please forget about me! Difficulty: Rather easy My levels: Virginia 58, Clive 54, Jet 62, Gallows 61 Location: Ark Of Destiny How to meet: Open the duplicator door downstairs and you'll see a memory figure that won't do anything at all... Use the Kramer Doll to make it attack you. Experience: 60,000 Cash: 144,000 Gella Reward: Prism Stick - Increases FP when HP is low Is one is very easy, but still you mustn't underestimate it... His "Laser Wheel" is the biggest threat... Not much damage, but it affects the whole party, and underestimating this move, as weak as it is can make you loose the battle or bring you in deep trouble... However, when you are well prepared to that move and heal even the slightiest thing, you won't have any trouble at all... He also uses "Desperation"... A laugh, as strong as "Laser wheel", but only on one target... He can cause "Amnesia", no big deal, but since this guy can provide a lot of EXP, you can better cure it! Optional Boss 03: Kraken Aka - I use water, but I can't stand it Difficulty: Easy My Levels: Virginia 61, Clive 56, Jet 64, Gallows 63 Location: Little Twister How to meet: Use the Kramer Dolls at the well at the entrance of Little Twister Exp: ? Cash: ? Reward: Comet Mark - Increases Attack Power Preperations: Water rings, and the Love Charm Ward everyone against water, and copy its ability with "Copy Ability" and use it against him... Optional Boss 04: Balal Quo Naga * SANDCRAFT COMBAT * Aka: I'll crush that sandcraft of yours... again! Difficulty: Very extreemly easy My Levels: Virginia 69, Clive 56, Jet 64, Gallows 63 Location: Sand Ocean How to meet: Let Lombardia shoot in the stone circle south of Little Twister, then go to it with your sandcraft and refuse to retreat Exp: 60,000 Cash: 30,000 Reward: Ex File Key Preperations: Have the best of the best for you sandcraft This is a sandcraft battle (alas)... But it was so easy... I used the Ark Smash, and used the force to fire all my ammo into it at once, and I got through without even being hurt... Optional Boss 05: Ring Keeper Aka: Look at my big teeth Difficulty: Not super hard My Levels: Virginia 34, Clive 35, Jet 34, Gallows 34 Location: Decaying Labyrinth How to meet: If you find the "Girl Of The Garden" (Florina) she'll request you to break a curse in this optional dungeon where you'll meet him Experience: 3,900 Cash: 4,000 Gella Reward: Your ticket to start gardening for healing stuff His attacks are weak, and so are his counters... He may use a spell that nullifies all magic spells However his being weak, plus a low ammount of HP will make this battle short... WARNING! AFTER BEATING HIM YOU MUST DO THE REST OF THE DUNGEON WITH ONLY 1 HP, AND NO VIT... Optional Boss 06: Creeping Chaos (And for the rest I refuse to call them that) Aka: Hyulkonton / Hayonkonton Difficulty: Annoying My Levels: Virginia 51, Clive 51, Jet 48, Gallows 48 Location: Filgaia How to meet: Destroy 5 Telepath Towers Experience: 10,000 Cash: 10,000 Gella Reward: NOTHING AT ALL!!! HAHAHA!!! This is not a battle of damage but of statuschanges... All kinds of statuschanges will come to pass by.... There's absolutely no curing them as they keep on coming... If you are warded against as much status changes as possible the annoyance will be much less, PLUS you will get a lot of experience... After this fight, you may meet more of these as normal enemies... If you are warded against all status changes, these guys are very much fun for levelling up ;) Optional Boss 07: Lolithia Aka - Ice Queen - WA1 was not chilli enough for me Difficulty: Pretty Easy My Levels: Virginia 64, Clive 60, Jet 62, Gallows 56 Location: Mimir's well How to meet: Type "emeth" as password Experience: 27,000 Cash: 30,000 Reward: Ice Ring Fire may be her weakness, but because of freezing zone the effect is reduced, so that's not really a solution... heck she's easy... Sometimes a few powerfull attacks may come, but they are easy to deal with... Optional Boss 08: Emperor Marduck Aka: Do you like my real look? Difficulty: Medium My levels: Virginia 81, Clive 80, Jet 78, Gallows 82 Location: Gunner's Heaven How to meet: Speak to the duke, you'll find him in a sideway of the arena Experience: 90000 Cash: 216000 Gella Reward: Dist Dims - Can recover MTC during travel None of his attacks impressed me, but he has much of HP and a powerfull healing move If you are warded against darkness completely, you got one of his attacks completely neutralized... A way to do more damage is giving him a weakness (doesn't matter which element, and attaching the element to your normal attacks and seal that with "permanence") Optional Boss 09: Bad News Aka: Put away that silly apron, will ya! Difficulty: Boooooooooooooooring! My levels: Virginia 93, Clive 93, Jet 91, Gallows 96 Location: Gunner's heaven How to meet: After completing the master's leage and winning the battle against Emperor Marduck, you can chat with the barkeep and he'll challenge you to battle him, if you say yes, the battle will start... Experience: 10,000 Cash: 12,000 Gella Reward: EX File Key First time in history of Wild Arms that "Bad News" is a human, doesn't make him weaker though... This battle is one of the easiest of all optional bosses, the only bad point is the fact that he has extreemly much HP, and he keep healing himself.... He also counters all your moves and has pretty high defense... Advisable is to cast: "Hyper", "Shield", "Quicken" and "Turbulence" over everybody, those moves will wear off, but you can seal them off with "Permanence", then then they'll stay till the end of the battle. Bad News doesn't have "Eraser", so don't you worry about that... His counter will be less annoying with "Turbulence", because then they'llall easily miss as well as his other attacks, and if you are warded against all status changes (like I was), this guy brings you ABSOLUTELY nothing to fear, he only has terribly much HP so expect a boring battle... Optional Boss 10: Lunaire Zein Aka: Darkness RULEZ!!! Difficulty: Easy My Levels: Virigina 96, Clive 96, Jet 96, Gallows 100 Location: The Abbyss How to meet: Will happen when you run into the teleporter at level 30 of the Abbyss Experience: ? Cash: ? Reward: Booster Kit & access to level 31-60 of the Abbyss It will basically counter all attacks with "Phantom Hazard", I was warded against darkness which makes this fight impossible to lose Optional Boss 11: Zavera Zein Aka: I'll eat my brothers Difficulty: Medium My Levels: Virginia 97, Clive 98, Jet 96, Gallows 100 Location: The Abbyss How to meet: Will happen when you run into the teleporter at level 60 of the Abbyss Experience: 68,000 Cash: 160,000 Gella Reward: - Bone (See note below) - Access to level 61-100 four of them, but they counter everything with a heavy non-elemental attack that hits the entire party... So don't attack too much in one turn. Take your time... If one dies, the other three will combine into one, and be even stronger... Watch out that you don't want to win this battle too quickly ===== I was wondering what the bone does. Alejandro Paulino sent me this mail about it: When you defeat the optional boss Zavera Zein, it drops an item called 'Bone'. In your Boss FAQ, you wanted to know what it does. If you have not figured out what it does, get into a random battle and and use Virginia's Mystic (that spell that in wich an item intended to be used on one person can be expanded so that it's effects effect all characters in your party). If you look at all the items that can be used with Mystic, the item 'Bone' will be there. This is the only way this item can be used. When used, Virginia will cast every assist spell in her posession to the character you selected. If you're wondering how I learned of this, I found out by mistake. I saw it in the list of items that can be used with Mystic and, there it was! ====== Optional Boss 12: Ragu O Ragula Aka: - Huh, am I supposed to be hard? Sorry guys! - Ragu Ragla - I got my own music, neat huh? Difficulty: EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASY!! (You don't believe me, huh?) My Levels: Virginia 98, Clive 100, Jet 97, Gallows 100 Location: The Abbyss How to meet him: Use the kramer doll on the holo-image on level 100 of the Abbyss Experience: 0 Cash: You didn't need that, did you? Reward: Sheriff Star (All skills for 100 PS Points) Preperations: 3x Ring of Fire and the Fiery Rage medium, set Fire Ward to Maximum I guess everybody will think I'm insane by saying he's easy... Well, in fact he is, most of the not-optional bosses are harder than this guy even when overlevelled... Even the prologue bosses were harder! The secret lies in the right preperations, and the will to take you time for this battle... First of all, make sure everybody is 100% warded against fire, if that's the case, you've almost removed all possibility to loose this battle... Then cast Hyper, Turbulence, Quicken, shield, Hox Pox and Permanence over everybody... His supermove 100 Billion Degrees will be completely nullified, your normal attacks will be countered with "Counter Sweep", which can do heavy damage, but is in 99% of the cases avoided (Only Gallows had a too low Evasion rate, so he got damage, but it's so easy to heal it)... I read in other faqs that summons and arcana is always countered with a heavy non-elemental move... I didn't try that myself, since I had read that warning! Optional Boss 13: Ragu O Ragula (2nd time) Aka: Going somewhere? Difficulty: Guys are you serious? Yawn! My Levels: Virginia 98, Clive 100, Jet 97, Gallows 100 Location: The Abbyss How to meet: When you defeated Ragu Ragla at level 100, you'll be able to go back to the entrance, but your way is blocked by a holo-image... The Kramer Doll will summon Ragu and open the way Experience: Nothing at all Cash: Nada! Reward: EX File Key Preperations: Have all elemental wards Warded against all elements or at least 6 or 7 out of 8? Then you have nothing to worry about, only the fact that he has 999,999 HP and a terribly high defense... ATT-Plus skills and Finest Arts are the ways to get rid of him easily, and his attacks are now of all elements, but totally not something to be affraid of especially when you got all wards... His presence here is more a waste of time than anything else... Optional Boss 14: MotherShip (Air Combat) Aka: The Hayonkonton's parting gift Difficulty: Mwoa My levelS: Virginia 99, Clive 100, Jet 100, Gallows 100 Location: The Sky How to meet: Complete the Telepath Tower mission and you'll meet it eventually, but it takes time.... Experience: 40,000 Cash: 10,000 Gella Reward: EX File Key Attack in any way you see fit... The attacks of the mother ship are pathetic, so there's nothing to worry about... Optional Boss 15: John Dee AKa: I was a wizard before Difficulty: Depends on your preperations My levels: Sorry, forgot to note Location: Green Lodge How to meet: Kramer doll on the holosphere here Experience: ? Cash: ? Reward: ? Preperations: Light Rings & Dark Rings Don't power-up, he'll dispell it all, if are warded against darkness & Light you got the ULTIMATE trump card... With the Love Charm you can give him a weakness darkness will do perfectly, copy his abilities and use it againt him... That will work very well! Telepath Towers: ================ Here are the telepath towers... You can do them if you like... However, when you destroy them all you'll meet an optional boss You might even encounter some sooner... What happened to me by beating telepath towers: 3rd time: Distress signal (Nothing serious) 5th time: Optional Boss - Creeping Chaos Before you can take on these towers somebody in Laxisland must have told you about them first... (NOTE! I did not take them all out in order, so the levels can be everything) Telepath Tower #1 Difficulty: Very extremely easy My levels: Virginia 47, Clive 49, Jet 45, Gallows 45 Map Coordinates: X:16660 Y:18120 Experience: 9,000 Preperations: Bring some Toy Hammers The attacks are to be laughed at... Destroy them one by one... Wait until there's only one tower left before you start using Toy hammers to cure Amnesia... Telepath Tower: #2 Difficulty: Easy My Levels: Virginia 47, Clive 50, Jet 46, Gallows 46 Map Coordinates: X:4940 Y:15400 Experience: 10,500 Preperations: Medicines or equip Hazel Spring Disease is their forte, but since the attacks are to be laughed at the chances are great that you don't even have to heal yourself But having some medicines or Hazel Springs can do a great job... Telepath Tower: #3 Difficulty: E-A-S-Y My Levels: Virginia 68, Clive 64, Jet 68, Gallows 58 Map Coordinates: X:10077 Y:16380 Experience: ? Preperations: Moonstones I admit, I was overlevelled for this one... Anyway, I also had 4 moonstones so I could ward all poison attacks of theirs... If you have that luck as well, you'll win this one easily Telepath Tower: #4 Difficulty: Uh... easy... when you got alarm clocks My Levels: Virginia 69, Clive 65, Jet 68, Gallows 59 Map Coordinates: X: 6589 Y: 9597 Experience: 13,500 Preperations: Alarm Clocks If you got alarm clocks you can ward their sleep and have an easy win! Telepath Tower: #5 Difficulty: Easy My Levels: Virginia 68, Clive 65, Jet 68, Gallows 58 Map Coordinates: X:896 Y:22610 Experience: 15,000 Preperations: Perhaps something against "Downhearted" It will cause to you "Downhearted" I personally didn't care since I didn't need my abilities anyway Telepath Tower: #6 Difficulty: Only a little annoying My Levels: Virginia 42, Clive 43, Jet 40, Gallows 39 Map Coordinates: X:8989 Y:5515 Experience: 16,500 Preperations: Ward against Paralysis and bring Pixie Dust Their tranqualizer is annoying, for the rest this fight is easy... Bring some pixie dust... Telepath Tower: #7 Difficulty: Hmmmmmm My Levels: Virginia 70, Clive 66, Jet 69, Gallows 60 Map Coordinates: X: 20864 Y: 7732 Experience: 18,000 Preperations: Nah The attacks are laughs... They can turn you into glass for two turns... More annoying than dangerous... Telepath Tower: #8 Difficulty: Annoying My Levels: Virginia 48, Clive 50, Jet 46, Gallows 46 Map Coordinates: Experience: 19,500 Preperations: Clear Chime, and Pin wheels The attacks are not super heavy but can be a threat, and they confuse you... If you are prepared for that last thing, there's no way you can loose... Telepath Tower: #9 Difficulty: E-A-S-Y My Levels: Virginia 43, Clive 45, Jet 41, Gallows 41 Map Coordinates: X:24862 Y:11807 Experience: 21,000 Preperations: Have a bronze ward, or a lot of magic cleansers The attacks are a laugh, so you should be able to deal with that... the "Bronze" attacks I suggest to wait with healing them until the last turn before they turn into a statue... The bronze attacks happen very much and as long as you are in the countdown all other bronze attacks do miss, and saves you cleansers... If you are warded against bronze, it's even better... Telepath Tower: #11 Difficulty: Pretty easy... My Levels: Virginia 69, Clive 65, Jet 68, Gallows 59 Map Coordinates: X: 13971 Y: 1304 (Lombardia must blow up a block) Experience: 24,000 Preperations: Bring something against disease and amnesia This time two status changes... Disease and amnesia... The attacks are still crap Sites to get this FAQ on: ========================= Basically the only official site find this FAQ on is TBBS (http://www.tbbs.nl) Sites granted permission to host this FAQ: GameFAQs - http://www.gameFAQs.com The RPG Realm - http://www.rpgrealm.com PSX CODEZ - http://www.psxcodez.com Sites banned from hosting: Neoseeker - http://www.neoseeker.com If you find this FAQ on any other site, of which you think it's without my permission please notify me!
