Introduction =============================================================================== Mythe is not too difficult at the beginning but at the end of the game you will be in trouble. This is definitely the character you do not want to play first. Myth e has a fairly straight forward story and a ridiculously strong last boss. Hopefully you have mastered the growth panel because you are going to need to be as strong as possible when you reach the end. =============================================================================== III. Using this Guide =============================================================================== Through out this guide you will notice crudely drawn maps. The maps aren’t completely accurate but they do show the direction in which you are supposed to go. Occasionally the map will have special symbols and those will be explained in those Sections. Reading the Adventure Data =========================== At the beginning of each adventure I will tell you the name of the adventure, Info provided by the game and the number of turns. After that is a short description or text explaining what to do for a particular section. Finally below that is the map information telling you the location, condition and monster types that reside in the area. Although a particular adventure may have many types of monsters, not all of the monsters appear in the same area. The condition is the general weather or atmosphere associated with an area. You can check this at any time in the adventure screen by selecting skill and then press the X Button. Conditions in a level can affect the rate at which you learn magic. For example, if you are standing in water then you won’t learn a fire spell as quickly. The same holds true for the type of area as well. If you are in the Jade Forest, the wood type spells increase quickly. Longshank, Peninsula Town ============================= The game begin’s at Fugar’s Mansion where Mythe is attending a party. There must be something interesting at this party because even Mythe’s master is in attendance. Fugar is a collector of Golden Age relics and he just loves to show them off. After Fugar unveils the photograph, Mythe seemingly falls in love with the girl in the portrait. Mythe can not stop thinking of the portrait and decides that if he finds Tiffon, she will tell him where she obtained it. Start by visiting the Inn to get some information. Bachelorette Lynda will tell you that you could go to Loch Vaan and seek out Sapphire the great fortuneteller. Perhaps she would know. You now have your first story adventure open to you. ============ Mythe Works ============ Take a look at Mythe Works. Mythe Works is where you can do blacksmithing. You can take on the Abandoned Castle but with Mythe alone, it is a little much. Inside of the abandoned castle is a pair of Obsidian Boots. They are easy to get to and once you have them just run out of turns. During the first fight you get Mythe’s special voice quote. All you need to do here is look around and then exit by using the ladder. If you have the Cave Guide skill then you can get Undine’s Choker near the Dried Water Source. Ruby was just playing tricks. After reading your fortune Sapphire agrees to join you. You know that Tiffon is either in Gadeira or Vaftom. You decide to go to Gadeira first. To get there, just leave town and Gadeira will be available on the world map. Enter Gadeira and get information at the Inn. Tiffon will be there. After speaking with Tiffon, she runs off and Sapphire tells you that she has another secret which brings you to the next adventure. While fighting the Giant Beast may be good for sparking, it will be a drain on your Life Points. I only advise fighting it if you have done some subquests and increased your hit points. When you arrive you will find Tiffon about to be attacked by an Undead monster. Depending on how strong you are you will fight a different creature. Since you may be weak right now, you’re best bet is to use Mythe’s gun to quickly get rid of the pesky undead. After the battle Tiffon will tell you that she obtained the photo from Grace of Nivacolina. Tiffon will join you and it’s off to find Grace. Back in Longshank ============================= After the adventure in the Undercity you find yourself back in Longshank. While you are at home a woman comes by asking for an appraisal on a dagger. After he tells her about it you here a voice yell “FIRE”, Fugar’s mansion is on fire. At first Mythe laughs but quickly remembers about the painting. He was in such a hurry that he forgot that he was still holding the woman’s relic. You must hurry and salvage the photo before it is consumed in fire. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Number of Turns | 66 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There are no monsters but you do have a turn limit before the mansion goes up in smoke. The first thing that you must do is to get the Keyaxe. The Keyaxe will let you break open the Custom-Made doors. After you have the Keyaxe you can head straight for the photo or you can try to collect everything in the mansion before it burns to the ground. There is a Magic Tablet on the first floor and on the second floor behind Custom-Made doors are treasure chests. One contains an item and the other money. Neither of the chests is trapped so just get what’s inside. After you grab the painting just step into the hall and the adventure will end. ******************** Falling Debris ******************** As you make your way to the painting, debris will fall from the ceiling. When this happens the reel will begin to spin. You can avoid it by landing on the green circle. It’s easier to stop the reel on the green circle once you have the Keyaxe. As soon as you step on the bridge, you will be attacked by Shroomers. After the battle is over the bridge will collapse and your team will be separated. If you are wondering how it separates your team, it does it in order and divides the team evenly. If you have 4 people then the characters in position 1 and 2 will make it across and positions 3 and 4 will get left behind. If you had 5 characters then 1,2 and 3 make it while 4 and 5 are left behind. Organize your team before stepping on the bridge. The first team that made it across will be team number 1. Use team number 1 and have them go to the other side of the rope bridge marked 1 on the map. After that you will now have control of team number 2. Team number 2 starts on the opposite side of the bridge. Move them over to point 2 and try to cross using the rope. Once they try to cross, the rope will break dropping them to the bottom of the Vale. Now that you are on the bottom of the Vale, you must climb back up. Find the way back up to the middle of the Vale and from there get to the top. Meanwhile, the team at the top needs to get the vines and position themselves on point 3 of the map. Once you make it to point 3 then that team won’t be used until the other team makes it to the vine to climb up. Use this as your sparking battle. It will be a long fight but in the end it’s worthwhile. If you had been doing a lot of side quests then you may not spark that many new techniques. The one problem you may have in this fight is dealing Life Point damage. Spears work great against this guy and so does a weapon with Parry, Deflect, or Block. After the Giant is defeated you will hear a door open. That is where the switch is that opens the room with Iskandar’s Coffin. After you reach the Coffin Iskandar appears and tells Faedaljen (Silver Girl) to destroy the Knights of the Round Table. As an Arcanian she has the ability to stop them. Iskandar has an explanation and if you choose to hear it he will tell you information about the Arcanians and the Seven Wonders. After that she wishes to go to Tal’fa Palacaleo also known as Pharos. ============================= 10. For the Love of the Girl ============================= This is the last step before completion of Mythes quest. Make sure that you have strong enough weapons and that you have the techniques that you will need to get the job done. You should’ve learned some Level 4 Techniques against the giant so now just make sure you have enough protection and strong enough weapons and you’re set. I would advise doing a lot odf subquests and becoming as strong as possible. The $ on the map is a barrier. Currently the barrier is closed preventing you from going that way. Once you reach the second floor, you will find a gadget. If you press the button you will be attacked by 2 Skull Crawlers. After that, press the button again. Continue to staircase B and take them to the 3rd floor. Don’t worry about the barriers because they are already disarmed and will not impede your progress. Staircase C will put you on the other end of floor 2. The gadget on this side has inscriptions that the Silver Girl can read. It reads “Energy Distribution”. Press the button and you will be attacked by 2 Skull Crawlers. After they are defeated press the button again to see something move and return to the third floor. If the shadow was moving down it will stop on floor 1. If it was going up then it will stop on floor 3. It will not go to floor 2 until all of the energy is distributed. Go to each one of them and press the button on each to fully distribute the energy for the Delta Area and the Beta Area. Now that the energy is distributed here, hit the button at Barrier Control. Pressing this button will disarm the lower barriers and arm the ones on this floor. Your only option is to return to staircase B and then return to the first floor. When you emerge from staircase A, use the newly opened barriers to reach the two Energy System switches for the Gamma and Alpha areas and press their buttons. With all of the energy distributed, the barriers throughout the fortress can be disarmed. Press the button on the Awkward Device on this floor to lower all of the barriers and then use staircase D to get back to the third floor if the elevator went up initially or just get to the elevator on this floor if the elevator went down initially. Make your way to the elevator and ride it down to the middle floor. Use the Tetra Force and then prepare for the final boss. Before using the Tetra Force you can fight an optional boss. You can only use the Tetra Force when your life force is low. If you are still to weak, just wonder around the Fortress and fight monsters. The Power Supply button when pressed will trigger a battle with Satanachia. After it is defeated, press the button again and you will be able to control the elevator and place it on any one of the three floors. Use your strongest techniques to dispatch the knights one at a time. You want to avoid anything long and drawn out because the last knight will be the toughest of all. When you get to Phantom continue with the power techniques to take him down quickly. Every character should also have a weapon that can block attacks because you don’t want to take too many hits from Phantom’s Blood Sword.
