This guide covers ‘The Operative: No One Lives Forever’ for the PlayStation 2 console. NOLF is a first-person shooter that was ported from the PC. The PS2 version was slimmed down graphically and the multi-player support was lifted, but a few new levels were included to compensate for this. The walkthrough’s intent, obviously, is to get you through the game. In all situations I could I gave you what I thought was the best possible route. Or even the easiest. In any event, I hope this guide helps you in your knowledge of NOLF and even beat the game. NOLF is tough, so be prepared. This guide was written for the NTSC (American) version of No One Lives Forever. Cate Archer has the whole package. As an up and coming spy, Cate Archer feels that she has everything to prove, especially since she's viewed by many as an inferior woman. Cate won't stand for that and is on a mission to stop H.A.R.M. by working with UNITY. Inge Wagner Daughter of famous German composer Richard Wagner, Inge sought to become an opera singer herself. She's a lousy opera singer with a terrible voice. On top of that she owns her own nightclub where she puts her patrons under torture by singing on stage occasionally. The push of parents led her to drift into other things as well. But it's not some regular career, no. Instead she's a suspected member of H.A.R.M. and is believed to be in some suspicious activities. Armstrong A native of Glasgow, Scotland, Armstrong was in trouble a lot as juvenile. He really had good intentions and didn't start trouble unless someone was deserving of a beating. He was eventually sent to a military school and later served in the war in France & Germany. He's tradesman of war and a master of resources. Not to mention, a suspected H.A.R.M. member. Volkov Born in Russian in 1921, Volkov is suspected to in the high ranks of H.A.R.M. He is known for his torturing of animals, and he joined the NKVD to serve as a disciplinarian. He is also believed to have killed over a thousand spies. Also, the patch on his eye is a result of a failed assassination attempt in 1961. His whereabouts are now unknown. Bruno Lawrie Bruno is an spy in retirement who has come back to give a hand. Before this he was living a fast life and heading straight to death. But once he hooked up with Cate things were like old times. Bruno is a nice guy who is seen as a father figure to Cate. Tom Goodman A handsome, young American operative – Goodman is nice guy trying to help UNITY and Cate. Like Cate, he is willing to risk his neck for the good of UNITY. A: There is a motorcycle and a snowmobile. Q: How do I get them? A: You get several chances to ride each one later in the game. Q: Can I shoot while on a vehicle? A: No, unfortunately. Q: Can I die while riding a vehicle? A: Yes, if you drive or drop off of a high spot. --- Vehicle Controls: X - Mount/Dismount L1 - Pop-a-wheelie (motorcycle ONLY!) Left stick U/D - Accelerate/Brake Left stick L/R - Steer Right stick L/R - Steer --- Driving Advice Use both sticks. Use the left stick for gas/brake ONLY, and use the right stick for steering. For me this eliminated any confusion. Sure you will have to get used to it (that's what the training is for) but once you do it feels more like you're moving Cate herself (or even a car). Give it a try. Hitting Enemies Running into an enemy can prove useful with your vehicle, especially the motorcycle. If you pop a wheelie with the motorcycle and hit an enemy, you will keep going with little or no loss of speed. With the snowmobile, however, this is not the case since you can't pop-a-wheelie with it. Mounting Position Regardless of which way the motorcycle is facing before you get on it, the position it is facing when you first get on depends on what direction you're looking in whilst you mount it. For example, if the vehicle is facing a wall and you're facing away from the wall, the vehicle will be facing your direction when you get on. ############################################################################### 2.00 WALKTHROUGH ############################################################################### BEFORE YOU BEGIN ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~ Pickups ~ I do NOT tell you in the walkthroughs to pick up ammo, body armor, or intelligence items. This is because body armor and intelligence items are stuck in random designated spots in many levels. The ammo and weapon pickups are expected of you, so why should I have to tell you? But there may be a time or two when I feel it's absolutely necessary for me to tell you to pick up a weapon or some ammo (for instance a grenade launcher). Also, since many people don't bother with the intelligence items too much, I felt that it would get in the way of the walkthrough, and even annoy some. You can, however, find out the location of armor & intelligence items at the END of each level's walkthrough. Keep in mind that the list may not be complete for each level. If you find another item or another location, e-mail me and you'll receive credit for it. Also, for those of you that want to try to get all intelligence items the best thing to do is to study the list I made for each scene before playing that scene. That way you can find things more easily when you're actually playing the scene. ~ Enemies ~ I refer to enemies as the following: enemies, guys, guards, soldiers, bad guys, etc... The reason I do this is to keep things from being monotonous and not bore you. Besides, they all boil down to the same thing. Because guards can go off of their normal patrol (e.g. you alarm them), enemy location is not foolproof. In other words, I might tell you a guard is in a certain spot but when you're playing he's not there. Then scroll down to the necessary scene. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.01 ~ Misfortune in Morocco ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scene 1 ------- As you start the mission Bruno asks if you want him to call out the targets. For assistance, choose the first answer. In doing so Bruno will tell you where each enemy is coming from. Regardless what answer you choose (it doesn't affect the game much) kill all of the enemies that walk out. Your job is to stop these bad guys from harming Ambassador Munroe (he's walking around). After the first wave of enemies at the top the ambassador goes to street level to walk around. Kill this wave of enemies also. Exit this room then proceed down the hallway through the unmarked door to the left. Go down the steps passing the two guys talking to each other. Go through the brown door under the archway. Turn right and then go down to room number 12. Walk up to the window and get ready for another scene where you must protect the oblivious Ambassador. After all the bad guys are dead and the cutscene plays turn around to take care of the lone guy that storms the doorway. Shoot him through the opening and then open the door. Turn right as you exit to kill these two men that rush you. Go around to the left and three guards will be in this coutyard you were in before. Kill them and then go through the double blue doors across from you. Body Armor Locations: - In front of the double blue doors next to the two guys talking Intelligence Item Locations: - On the table in the room you start off in - On the rail above where the two guys are talking about an American girl - Under the desk in room number 12 - In front of room number 9's door on the floor Scene 2 ------- Shoot the guy in the red hat that's trying to sell a monkey to the other guy. Shoot the lock off the gate and kill the guy on your center left. Go down and through the blue and brown door. Once in this hallway, go around to the left and kill the guard. Hang a right after the "Toilette" sign hanging on the ceiling then go up the steps straight ahead of you. Walk up the next flight and kill the two guards straight ahead. To the left and kill this guy across the hall. Make a right at room 204, go down & make another right, and out to the food court. Take a left and up the ramp. Turn right to an outside garden. Kill the two guards on the ground level and then aim for the guy in the left tower. Go forward through the double doors to complete this scene. Body Armor Locations: - In hallway between rooms 201 & 202 Intelligence Item Locations: - At the beginning, hanging next to the locked gate - In the storage room next to where the guy and girl are standing - Under the bed in the room the maid is cleaning - In hallway between rooms 201 & 202 - On the counter of the food court Scene 3 ------- Step to the right and kill the guard yapping to the lady about an anniversary gift. Turn and go left and through the center. Kill the guard walking around over here. Go straight then turn right and kill the two guards talking by the red soda machines. Pass these bathrooms up then take a left. First, kill the guard walking around in this lobby straight ahead. Turn and look up on the balconies in the center---kill the two guards up here. After the bad guys are dead take the center path in this lobby. Walk up the few steps, turn to the right, then make a left to kill the two guards down the hallway. Go down, passing the food court up, and make a right. Kill these two guys at the other end. Passing the two sets of double doors, you need to hang a right. Pass the tree and elevators up, continuing forward. Go straight then wind down the steps. Walk towards Bruno in the lobby to see a cutscene. Quickly turn around and go back up the steps. Shoot the guy in front of you by the elevators then turn and shoot the guy to your right. Disarm the bomb on the elevator by pressing X when the green icon pops up. Turn left and down the hallway with the stained glass, then kill this guy. Proceed and make another left to see the food court again. Kill the first guard and then the second one by the second set of red doors down the hall. Disable this second bomb. Make a right then a left to be looking in the lobby. Kill the guards in here. Disable the third bomb that's on the door to your right. Go through the center path then make a right to kill the enemy that's scaring the lady. Turn into the garden-like area on the left with the glass roof. Disable the fourth bomb on the post. Continue through and kill the guard to the left of the phones on the wall. The fifth bomb is behind the counter on your left and on the door. Disable it to complete the scene. Body Armor Locations: - On the bench across the from the elevators and by the tree - Next to the baggage cart in the first lobby Intelligence Item Locations: - On the windowsill of where the girl & guy are in the garden - Next to the soda machines, across from the bathrooms (ice stand) - In the hotel lobby on the table in the center - By the second door that leads to the food court - Next to the baggage cart in the first lobby - On the counter of the information stand at the beginning Scene 4 ------- You start off the level being shot at: make these two idiots pay for their ignorance. Go forward past their dead bodies and down the steps to the right. They wind down and to an outside area. Turn out to the left and shoot the two guys up on the buildings. Now you need to get to the other side of this area. You can do this many ways since all the paths in this area are intertwined with each other. I'll just tell you one path, a path I think is the easiest. Take the left pathway where it starts off with the plank running across the two buildings. Head down the long alleyway and kill the guard at the corner. Take a right where this civilian is. At this intersection take a right, go down the ramp and turn left. Straight ahead is a ramp and civilians are to the right. Go forward and up the ramp. Hang a left into another pathway and immediately turn right as you get on this path. Kill the guard around here and then go straight down to the other end to the door to complete the mission. Body Armor Locations: - On the small table when you walk through the first doorway - Take a left at the T intersection, and it's off to the right Intelligence Item Locations: - Next to the small table when you walk through the first doorway Scene 5 ------- Follow down the path, turn right and shoot the two guys up across from you. Walk towards the center a bit, then turn around and shoot the guy on the balcony that's firing at you. Take the narrow path into a cafe where two guards are awaiting. Shoot the one on the right that hides behind the table then shoot the one on the left. Go through the pathway on your left. Walk up the steps, turn left, and walk up another small set of steps. Turn to the right when you get in this area, kill the guy out in the open, and then the one behind the crates. Turn around and go through the next set of yellow double doors available. Turn right as you get in this hallway, then cut to the left onto the outside balcony. Kill the guy that's up here. Next, shoot the guy across from this balcony to the right of where you first walk out on. Then shoot the guy at the bottom center. One might rush this balcony so watch your back. Look over the balcony to where the water is. Jump off and into the water for a quick descent. Jump up to the steps to be on land again. To your left is a fruit stand. Take the steps up to higher ground. Go over the bridge that's left-center of where you come up at to complete the scene. Body Armor Locations: - On the coffee table next to the cardboard box - In front of the fruit stand at the end Intelligence Item Locations: - Behind the barrels at the beginning of the level - On to the first wooden crates you see in the level - On the floor next to the coffee table (across from above) - At the end of the level, go in the underwater tunnel and surface Scene 6 ------- As the level starts immediately shoot the guys across the field (one in the center and one by the car on the left). Follow down, passing the car up, and to where there's a big patch of sand. Start turning left and head over to the right where a broken-up complex is. Shoot the guy over by the tent and turn right to kill the few guards in this labyrinth of bricks. Suddenly a car comes to a skidding stop. Kill the guard that hops out. If you shoot the car in the tires it will blow up. Follow the path down and to the right. Over some hills will be a gate to your left. This is a minefield! Instead, take the path to the center right. The path winds up to a villa. To your left is complex with broken boards on top. Fall through the hole and into the well. Swim through and surface to kill the guy atop. Climb out of the water and open the door to end the scene. Body Armor Locations: - On top the erected building where everything is broken up - Inside the building described above - Next to the truck IN the mine field Intelligence Item Locations: - In the striped tent between the broken area of bricks - Hanging on the sign of the mine field - Bottom of well at the end of the level Scene 7 ------- Proceed up the stairwell to your right. Kill the first guard you see then get to the top. Once up here, open the door to the right and kill the guy walking towards you. Don't go out here! Instead, go back into the hallway in take the other path. Walk up the steps to the left and kill the guard in front of you. Quickly turn around and shoot the two on the balcony behind you. Take the steps up, cut to the left, then up this steps and down a long walkway. Once out in the open, kill the three or so guards to the right of where you walk out. Look for some steps on the left (you'll see two blue generators at the bottom) go down here, get off the steps, and make a left at this intersection. Kill the guy on in the open on the ground level. A guard will right out from the top right, kill him. Go in the center of this courtyard and make a left through the doorway. As soon as you walk in kill the guard on your immediate left, in the corner. Two guards storm from the right: kill them and then go through the doorway they just came from. Turn left then walk out to the balcony to complete the scene. Body Armor Locations: - To the right of the wooden gate---shoot the lock off the door Intelligence Item Locations: - In the hallway with the boxes to the as you get to the top of the steps - On the side of the red and white chair - Next to the blue generators - In the alcove on the other side of the big wooden gate ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.02 ~ Berlin by Night ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scene 1 ------- You are started on a small street. Walk straight down and talk to the man in the yellow trench coat to the left. Sometimes he's standing in the doorway a little bit further up. Once you talk to him take the sidewalk to the left past the trees. Go up to the ringing phone and answer it by pressing the action button. New objective. Turn back around and go into the building where the lady is standing under the awning. Inside and to the right are some intercoms. On intercom #205 press the action button for a cutscene. The elevator door opens. Step inside and hit the switch to take it up to the next floor. Walk down the hall, turning the corning. Approach room 205 then knock on the door. Something will slide up the door, so pick it up. Head back downstairs and outside the building. As you walk into the streets again, head across and into the alley with the "Bier" sign pointing to the door. Go inside and down the steps. Talk to the guy sitting at the table and he'll give you a clue as to a secret entrance. Anyway, head back out and into the streets again. Walk down to the both that is in front of the big doors. Avoid the camera above by sneaking under it. Open the door while no weapon is equipped then walk up to the guard. An action icon will appear, so talk to him. After he opens the gate walk back out under the camera and through it to complete the scene. Intelligence Item Locations: - In the phone booth - Behind the guard in his booth (bribe him first) Scene 2 ------- //COMMENTARY This scene seems setup to where the alarm MUST go off. I can't be certain but I'm almost positive the alarm has to be set off. I've tried quite a few times to see if I could sneak past all the guards and cameras but it just didn't happen. Having to reload the level every time the alarm was set off proved to be somewhat of a deterrent. If someone finds a way, please e-mail with the way to do it. Until then I'll just give you the normal method of beating the level whilst the alarm is set off. //COMMENTARY At the beginning, turn the corner and shoot the two guys who are having a funny conversation with each other. Quickly stroll down the street and to the left is a fenced area with a camera on the wall. Wait for the camera to look the other way then sneak under it. From here shoot the lock off or use your lock pick barrette. Climb down and into the water. Walk down the tunnel then pick the lock on this gate. Continue down, go up the ladder, and open the panel to climb out. To your right is a door and in front of you is a small booth with a guard inside. Open the booth door and shoot the guard inside. Now if you haven't set off the alarm up until this point, it WILL go off after you shoot this guard. In that case, turn around and shoot the two guards that come out the door behind you. While still in the booth pull the lever on the control panel to raise the gate just in front of you outside. Step out of the both and shoot the guards to your back right that are on the other side of the fence. You don't have to take them out just yet, but I personally like to kill them from here. There are 4 or 5 of them. In the doorway next to where you came up is a garage. Use it to cut back out to the streets again. Once in the streets, take a left and head around the corner. If you didn't kill the guards in the area ahead of you do so now. Otherwise, continue through the gate that you opened earlier. Go over to the right and through the entranceway. Kill the guard in the tower, the one in the street, the one in the both around the corner, and the one in the other tower. Pass the K-9 dogs up (shoot them if you want :P). Walk down the street then go into the building ahead of you. If a guard comes out, kill him. Behind the first room is a control room. Go in here then hit the switch to turn the alarm off. Exit this room and go straight down the hall and into the street. Turn right, walk forward, then kill the two guards in the above you. Walk towards the gate to complete the scene. Body Armor Locations: - Between the two tables in the garage - In the room where you shut of the alarm, on the table Intelligence Item Locations: - The first room off of the room where you shut the alarm off Scene 3 ------- Kill the guard(s) straight ahead then go into the door to the left. Shoot the guards through the window. Continue through, rounding the corners of this tight area ahead. Kill the guys that rush you (two or three). Take a right at this T-junction and you will immediately see some red barrels (1) in a crate room. Look at the bomb that's strapped to the barrels then press the action button to set it. Go to the left and kill the guy in the window and the one on the ground level. Turn to the right and open the brown double doors. Go outside again. Turn left, straight across to the fence and shoot the lock off. Jump up on the crate, shoot the guy from the window, then enter the building and into this second crate room. Get back up on the boxes and go back outside---do not go through the shutter door. Hop back down to the ground level outside once more. After you exit the gate turn to your immediate right and go through the door. Go down to shoot the two or three guards on the other side of the fence. After enter this area, follow the doorway to the right to see the second (2) stack of red barrels. As before, set the bomb that's on them. Go up the steps and through the double doors. Turn to the right merely to see some more barrels--- these are not the one! Continue to the left and take the doors outside. Shoot the two guards patrolling out here then look to the right for the third (3) stack of red barrels. Set this final bomb then turn around and go through the door on the other side of the van. Body Armor Locations: - Beginning of level, door on the left, inside - Between the two blue generators that are fenced in Intelligence Item Locations - At the very beginning, on the left wall - Make a left instead of making a right to the first barrels - In the room overlooking the first crate room, on the table - On top a wooden crate in the second crate room Scene 4 ------- Walk around into the dining area with two tables in it. Go up the steps and through the double doors. This approaches the outside. Turn and look through the pillars to kill the three guards in this area outside. Where the path splits center and right, take the right path briefly to kill the two guards down at the other end. Go back to the intersection and this time take center path and into the main building lobby. Shoot the 2 or 3 guards that approach you (depending on how noisy you are). While looking at the desk, go through the doors on the left. Walk straight down into the first door you see, which leads in a library. Walk to the right, look down at the book, and equip your sunglasses. Look at the book so that the circle lights up green. Click the shoot button to take a picture of it. Now that you got the first book, time for the second. Exit out and to the left, then go to the door on the right into the second library. Kill the guy behind the book case then take a picture of the final book on the table. Exit out to the left back where you came from. Round the corners and enter the archives' lobby again. Go back outside by making right. At the split path, turn left and round the buildings to the left. Go down to the other end and equip your lighter. Walk up to the guy in the trench coat and offer him a light by hitting the shoot button. After you're done talking to him go into the building on your left. Go into the door on the left just before the steps. Walk down the steps and into the basement area. Open the door past the pillars. Enter the next "library" area with empty shelves against the walls. Check the back wall for to see a bookcase by itself on the wall. Hit the action button on it to open the secret entrance. Proceed through to end the scene. Body Armor Locations: - The room off to the right of the dining area, on the chest - On the balcony overlooking the archives' lobby Intelligence Item Locations: - On the table of the first room you walk into Scene 5 ------- Setting the alarm off doesn't change much in this level and you can still complete it whilst the alarm is sounded. However, if you choose to be stealthy and not set it, avoid all cameras and wait for guards to go on separate routes. Go up the steps to your right then kill the two guards around the corner. Walk down and as you turn left a guard will pop out. Kill him and---if you are loud- --kill the rest of the guards that run out in the open. If you want the code breaker gadget (which you don't need yet) retrieve it from the top shelf in the room across from the men's bath room. At this intersection turn right and down the hallway to an office area. Turn to the right around the corner and pick shoot the 4 guards at the other at. Walk over to where they spawned from then head to the right just a little bit. Turn back around, step back towards the desks, and then kill the bad guys that rush you from the other end that you came from. Once more, turn back around to the dead-end hallway with the door to the right. Hit the switch on the wall then step inside the elevator to complete the scene. Body Armor Locations: - Next to the desk in the first lab Intelligence Item Locations: - At the cabinet at the beginning. Photograph it - On the shelf in the first lab - On the bench where the lockers are at the beginning - On the desk in the small room off of the long office - In the storage room off the office area, on the table Scene 6 ------- If you set off the alarm in the alarm in the last scene it will be off in this on. However, this won't always be the case. Step forward; pass the pillar then turn to your right to shoot both baddies in the head. Watch for the security camera on the left. Don't take the path under the security camera. Instead, take the one to the right of it and head down the hall and to the left. You're now in a lounge area with some chairs. There's a camera on the wall dead ahead. If you want to avoid it use the pillars on the right to hide behind. Work you way to the stairwell behind this camera to the left. Go up this stairwell. Run down this balcony then take it to the right. Dead ahead in the corner is a camera. Round the corner and you will see a lab with a scientist in it. Turn left is a camera and a guard. Kill the guard as he goes off patrol (or not!) Pass the lunch tables up and head around the corner to the right. Head down the hall to make a right. Kill the guard down here. Go forward and at the intersection shoot the guard to your left. Go down this way and in the corner is a camera that's easily passable. Turn left and straight ahead is two labs: on the right and one on the left. Go into the lab on the right to find Doctor Schenker. Walk up to him for a brief cutscene. After talking to him walk over to one of the windows and kill the three guards as they storm down the hallway. Do not let Doctor Schenker get shot or you'll fail the mission. Walk back up to Schenker to talk to him again. He's now following you. Run out of this lab and head back down to round the corner to the right. Kill the three guards. If Schenker kneeled down in fear get the red icon on him then press the action button. Take him down this hall to the intersection at this balcony. Take the left path. Round these corners, pass the camera, and then go straight down the hall to another set of stairs. Go down them. Kill the 4 or 5 guards down here. They're fierce so don't be afraid to take cover in the stairwell. After they're done in go to the steel door on your left to complete the scene. Body Armor Locations: - Next to the bookshelf in the lab with the big chalk board - 2nd floor, in the lab with the toxic sign on the door Intelligence Item Locations: - The letter on the table, at the starting point - The lab across from Doctor Schenker, on the table - 2nd floor, in the lab with the toxic sign on the door - Across from the level's exit, in the lab ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.03 ~ Unexpected Turbulence ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scene 1 ------- Being nice to Schenker and answering with the second question every time will gain you more intelligence! But if you want, skip this just answer with first line on the first question. Go out the door and down the hall to the left. Kill the two guys back here: one in the baggage hold and one in the cargo hold. Turn back around to take the path to the right. Round the corner and kill the three guards in this first passenger area. Pass the bathroom up and enter the second passenger area then kill the guard. An explosion of some sort will occur, and the path ahead of you will be blocked off. Look down at the floor for a panel. Open it up then go down the ladder. Walk forward and up the ladder in front of you. Climb up then look around the corner. Kill the three guys in this third passenger area then turn to the right and up the ladder off to the side. Kill the guard before going up is best. Once up here go through the doorway and make a right, and through the doorway into the cockpit. Body Armor Locations: - In the bathroom between the first and second passenger areas Intelligence Item Locations: - Choosing nice replies to Schenker at beginning - On the floor in the baggage hold room Scene 2 ------- (A.k.a. "Nine Years Ago... Scene 2") Your goal is to steal three handbags and return home. Doing so requires you to be stealthy and avoiding the cops at all costs they can see you if you're within close range. And if you're behind them they can hear you and will turn around. Also avoid the civilians since they will set off the closest alarm if they see you. If that happens, the cops will come looking for you. Walk down your steps and take the path to the left and behind you. Come out of the alley to see a street and a sewer with steam coming out. Walk straight ahead towards the right while avoiding the cop to your left. At the corner run behind the brick wall and along the grass to where the tables are outside. While still here you will see a red phone booth to the northeast of you with a cop next to it. Turn right but do not go towards the cop. Instead, cut out into the street and walk back towards the American tourists that are talking to each other. Stay against the building while ducking, then grab the handbag (1) off of the garbage can next to them. Sneak back around the same way you came from then head back to your house in the alley. As you get to your doorway on the right, pass it up and take the path straight ahead. Round the corner and out of the alley. At this point I'm going to be very descriptive so you don't mess up and the alarm gets sounded: To your left is a phone booth. Straight ahead is a pathway, dead center. Walking up and down the street is a cop. Avoid him while taking a right and down the street. As the street turns left look for the two garbage cans against the brick wall on your left. Jump up on one of these and over the wall where the fence is broken off at. Fall down to be behind a woman who is talking to herself. Snatch that *****'s handbag!! Just kidding. :P But yes, take her handbag (2) (as cruel as it may seem, this is only a video game). Okay, now that you have her purse, turn around and look for the garbage container in the corner. Jump on it and over the wall again into the street once more. As you drop down turn right as if you were going back to the alley to your house. But instead of going in the alley, pass it up then go straight down (avoid the cop). As you come to the point where you can where you can only go left or right, go right. Go straight down and you will see a cop down here and a blue sign hanging on the building. Avoid the cop, as usual, by hiding behind the van to the right (but only if you have to---don't waste time). See the guy talking in the red phone booth? Approach him from behind and to the right. Snatch his handbag (3). Now, time to make tracks. Go back the same way you came and going back down this alley; making a left, going straight down, and turning right into the alley. Walk up on Cate's doorstep to complete this scene. Intelligence Item Locations: - On the table across from where the American couple are talking Scene 3 ------- The plane is screwed and you've got just under a minute to get off and into the skies safely. Run forward, make a left, and go down the ladder. In front of you is a gun. Quickly pick it up and shoot the guy to your left. Go through the doorway to the left. Pass the bathroom up and climb down into the open hatch. Climb up the next one across from this. Follow through and around, shoot the two guards here. Run down, passing the seats up, and through the door. As the guard appears the part of the plane where he's at blows up. Run forward to complete the scene. Intelligence Item Locations: - At the beginning of the level, on the meeting room floor - On the tray in the room you see as you get down the ladder - By the doorway that's windy as you come up the hatch ladder - On the table towards the end of the level Scene 4 ------- This scene might be a bit confusing to some of you, so I'll explain it. For the walkthrough, skip to the next paragraph. The plane has blown up, you have no parachute, and you're free-falling to the ground! Shrapnel from the plane is coming up towards you: this includes enemies and pieces from the plane itself. In the multiple times I played this level I did not see any intelligence items come from the wreckage. If you do, please record the time and point where it comes up, then send it to me so I can see for myself. As you're going down do NOT shoot the guy directly below you. You can, however, kill the guys on the outside perimeters. Why? The one below you has a parachute you need, and shooting him makes it expand (and you basically fail the level). Whilst taking care of the guys on the perimeter (there should around 7 or 8 of them), catch up to the guy below you. You cannot speed up. Simply kill all of waves of enemies and then set your focus on the guy below you. Gradually, you'll get close to him and Cate will say something along the lines of "Excuse me, but do you mind if I borrow this?", referring to his parachute.. As you approach him line up with him. Once you get really close to him (i.e. touching him) you will steal his parachute, completing the scene. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.04 ~ Rendezvous in Hamburg ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scene 1 ------- This scene is short and simple. In the cutscene you find out that the club is full and people are having problems getting in. At the start of the mission walk up to the girl in the white and green outfit on (she's to your right). After the conversation she walks up the bouncer by the door and starts talking to him. Now's your chance to sneak in! Go over to the dumpster (stay away from the bouncers) and jump up on it. Open the window and jump inside the club to complete the scene. Scene 2 ------- Step out of this coatroom and go straight down the hall and make a left at the intersection (where the couple is standing). Pass the lady standing by the phone, round the corner, and go up the spiral staircase. When you get to the top, go around the corner to the left, then go to the right and straight ahead. Walk up the small set of stairs and to a hallway that looks like a dungeon of sorts. Open the door to look inside. In the top right corner is a security camera--- do not let it spot you or you'll fail the mission. As it looks to the left rush into the room and hide directly under the camera. Now look up at it and wait for it to look all the way to the right or left (it doesn't matter which direction). Step forward, grab the letter on the desk, and quickly back into the corner again. Now, as the camera points left (which would be your right if you were looking at the desk), run out of the room and through the doorway. As you exit, go to the left and take the steps back down. Pass the woman at the phone, and when you see the couple at the intersection go straight across. Walk into this room and talk to the guy in the green shirt. After the cutscene you need to lead the guy following you into the women's bathroom. Walk down the blue hallway in front of you. Pass the couple talking and follow around to the left. Pass up the guy dancing (like a fool might I add) and round the corner. Go down this purple hallway and down the few steps. Enter the double doors and make a left. Walk into the women's bathroom for a cutscene. Intelligence Item Locations: - On the desk in the manager's office - Women's bathroom floor (get it BEFORE you talk to Goodman) Scene 3 ------- Walk out of the bathroom and kill the two guys to your left. Go right and around the corner. When you reach the room with boxes on the shelves, go down the steps and to the right. Open the door to kill this first guy you see in the wine cellar. Kill the two guys on the other side of the room hiding behind the shelves. Go through the door over here. As you walk out, turn to the right and kill the two guys at the top of the steps. The shelf will fall down the steps along with a box. Go up the steps and to the right through the door. In this kitchen is three guards. Kill them then proceed through the doorway on the left. Come out and avoid shooting the civilian in this area. Go through the door ahead of you and to the right to be in the stage area. Kill the three guards across from you, using this doorway as cover. After they're dead, two more storm in that will also fall victim to you. And finally, a sixth one will come in. Kill him then jump up on the stage to complete the scene. Body Armor Locations: - To the left at the top of the steps where the shelf falls down Intelligence Item Locations: - The book on the table in the wine cellar (take a picture of it) - On the barrels next to the book above - To the left at the top of the steps where the shelf falls down - In one of the sinks in the kitchen - Down the hall from where the guys storm in at the end, in the bar Scene 4 ------- Walk to the left and kill the guy patrolling in this house-like area. Open the window on the right side of the left wall. Hop out and into the alley for a cutscene. Immediately after the cutscene ends, cap the guy in front of you on top the roof. If you want some extra ammo, walk over the white box in front of you. Turn around to go to the opposite end of the alley. Turn right and kill the guy standing by the steps. Look towards the steps and shoot the guy that comes up them. [For a funny trick at this part, go to the glitch section of this guide] Now walk down these steps and work your way down and around. Pass the doorway up on your left, to take the right path. If you wait by this doorway to the outside you can listen to a very entertaining conversation between the two guards about criminal psychology and beer! Anyway, they're standing out on the ledge to the right just as you walk out. Kill them and another guard will rush up the steps in front of you to be dealt with. Peak out and kill all the guards you see on the rooftops. After you kill a guard by the big spotlight, take the spotlight out as well. Walk down to the lower area and go over the bridge that crosses the river below. Turn right, walk down past the crate, and down the stairs to your right. Step onto the platform and it starts floating down the river, completing the scene. Body Armor Locations: - Next to the table & sofa at the beginning of the level Intelligence Item Locations: - By the orange & white crate at the beginning of the level ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.05 ~ A Tenuous Lead ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scene 1 ------- It's advised that you use your silenced Shepherd throughout the course of this level to avoid setting off the alarm. Note that guards don't set off alarms, but the cameras do. If a camera sees you or spots a dead guard, then the alarm will be sounded. If you have little energy it is recommended that you stay quiet because once the alarm is sounded, most---if not all---of the guards come running to you. From the start, shoot the guard in the head that's pacing back in forth in front of the gate. Walk towards the gate and get close enough so that you can barely see guy walk across to the other two guards---don't kill him just yet! Remove the lock on the gate by picking it. Step through and hide behind the boxes to the right, but against the wall closest to the gate. As you walk through the gate a few guards start conversing with each other on the left. One of them walks towards the center and up the stairs into the building. Don't bother him, let him go inside the building. Wait for the two guys talking to finish their conversation and go their separate ways. Wait for the one to walk on the side of the van. (You should be hiding behind the crates the whole time.) Shoot him across the way. Okay, now sneak under the camera above the van and to the intersection where the third guy went. Go straight ahead, look to the left to see the third guard, and shoot him in the head. Go over to the big tanks to the left and kill the guy that's over here. Twist the handle on the front of these tanks and run to behind you and jump on the box. Wait for the guards to come around the corner (from the right) to expect the explosion that just occurred. Five or six come, so kill them all. Once they're dead, go around the bend to the right, sneak past the camera, and into the newly-opened shutter door to complete the scene. Body Armor Locations: - In the second office of the first building, next to the book case Intelligence Item Locations: - In the first office of the first building, on the desk - In the last office of the first building, on the black cabinet - The second building (next to the exit) and on the desk Scene 2 ------- To your right, through the doorway, is a locker room with a guy checking his locker out. Sneak into here and get the quick head shot on him before he can shoot you. Shoot and kill the other guy that rushes in. You should hear a guard in the distance say "What happened?!". Rush through the next doorway and out to a walkway over a boiler room. Kill the guard on the walkway unless the steam kills him first. Stare at the steam coming out for a brief period just to get the gist of it. Once one dies down for a few seconds, go through, wait for the next one to die down, go through, etc. If you touch the steam you will get hurt or even killed, so be careful when passing. Work your way to the opposite and you might see a guard (unless the steam killed him too!). If he's there kill him. Regardless, take the doorway on the left in front of you. In this room is some kind of machine that's sparking. Look for the ramp behind it and go down this. Kill the guy coming up the ramp before anything drastic happens. As you come down you will see a door to the left, pipes to your right, and a path straight ahead. Take the path straight ahead, turn and go down the steps. As you arrive in this basement, kill the two guys chatting by the table. Pull the lever on the wall. This turns the electricity to the machine off. Turn around and go all the way back upstairs and up the ramp. Look at the machine--- it's no longer sparking. Climb up the ladder next to it. Walk over the platform and open the gray panel. Climb down and turn the red valve to your right. Go back up and down the ladder. Now, go back down the ramp once more and to the intersection where the pipes are. Go through the double doors on your left. In this lower part of the boiler room, go to the right and behind the big tank is some ammo if you need it. Work your way past the steam on the left. Pick up the valve that's lying on the ground in the green sewage. Head back through the double doors. Put the valve on the pipes straight ahead by looking at it and hitting the action button. When you place it on, the valve will automatically spin, release pressure in the basement below you. Go to your left and down the steps into the basement once more. Open the double doors directly to your right. Walk up the steps, open the doors, and step outside to meet your partner to complete the scene. Body Armor Locations: - Inside one of the lockers at the beginning Intelligence Item Locations: - On the boxes to the right of you at the start - Inside one of the lockers at the beginning (same locker as body armor) - Next to the pipes that you must connect the valve to - Hanging on the wall in the basement - Next to the crates in the basement Scene 3 ------- From the start, walk down the street past the van. Turn to the left and shoot the guy by the door. Open the doors up and go inside. Turn the corner and sneak under the security camera to avoid setting off the alarm. If you do set off the alarm prepare for a wave of five enemies to run towards you. Anyway, after the camera run down the hall and out the door. You are now outside in some kind of crate yard. Ahead of you is a guard walking in front of the building. Wait until he walks to the left of the doorway and out of the site of the camera that's in this doorway. Now shoot him in the head. Next, while staying behind the crates, walk to the right and towards the right side of the building. Jump up onto the highest crate on the side of this building and then onto the ledge to the right. Jump across to the roof of the building and open the window. Drop down to the ledge, and then to the box towards the front of the building to complete the scene. Intelligence Item Locations: - On the box down the hall from the security camera Scene 4 ------- One your objectives is to activate the four explosive charges on four separate sets of barrels. These barrels are in random places. Even more random than intelligence items or body armor. However, I will give you all the different spots they can be end: simply scroll to the end of this level's walkthrough. During the walkthrough I will refer to a location as an "occurrence". By this I mean that a barrel *could* be there, but it's not guaranteed. I hope that's easy to understand. On to the walkthrough... Open the shutter door on the right. Instantly shoot both guards out here talking in the head. Shoot the guy across from them in the head as well. Do not miss any of these shots or you might have to play through the whole level with the alarm on. After they're dead, there's a barrel occurrence in the corner to the right. Go to the left, passing the big beam with the alarm on it, and go right for a barrel occurrence. Open the double doors up and straight down for a barrel occurrence next to the crates. Turn left and look into this big room. On the platform to the far right is a guard. Kill him with a head shot. In the lower part of this crane room is a barrel occurrence. Turn back around, go up the ramp, and take the path to the left in front of you. Open the blue double doors and round the corner to the left. Shoot both guards in the back of their heads. Walk forward a bit and shoot the guy to the top-left of where you're standing. Go up the steps then sneak under the camera as it looks to the right side of the room. Turn right into the doorway and proceed into the office area of the level. Pass the desks up to make your way to the other side of this office. Go through the doorway on the left. Make the first right you see and down the platform. If you didn't kill the guy that was standing to the location in front of you, go back into the crane control room behind you and drop the big crate on him to kill him. This is totally option and just looks cool. No matter what you choose, walk down the yellow platform and turn right. Pass the small pallets of crates up and go through the doorway to the outside. A ship is in front of you. To your left is a barrel occurrence. If the alarm goes off while out here, turn and look towards the door. Wait for the guards to come and kill them all. Now it's time to backtrack to the beginning of the level. Go back inside the building, around the corner, and jump off over the railing into the crane room. Go to the left and up the ramp into the crate room. Kill the guy that pops out and continue to the northeast. At this doorway will be another guy that springs out, he's to the left. Take care of him and walk to the beginning as if you were going to one of the two doors, to complete the scene. Red Barrel Locations: - Just as you walk through the first shutter door, to the right corner - In the first crate room, across from the fork lift - After you go down the ramp, next to the crates - In the center of the crane room Body Armor Locations: - Past the lockers and in the hall right after you sneak under the camera - Crane control room, on the floor Intelligence Item Locations: - In the office area, on the first desk you see Scene 5 ------- This level is tough to beat without setting the alarm. I'm giving you the walkthrough as I see fit. If the alarm goes off, it's no big deal. However, if you're a perfectionist take the level a bit slower when you're using this walkthrough. Walk up the steps and go through the door from the beginning of the level. Turn right and shoot the guard in the hall to the level. Immediately shoot the guy on the right. Now it's time to take cover: hide in the corner to the right and wait for the guards to rush down the hall. As the pop out, kill them (two will come). After they’re dead take the path left of the office and go through the door. Walk straight down this ramp and kill the two guys to the left. For more protection, stay in the doorway behind you and wait for them to come around the corner towards you. After they're dead walk up the yellow steps and quickly kill the guy up here. For a better chance of a head shot on this guy, jump up while you shoot. After the guy on the yellow platform is dead, go back down and through the path under these steps. Kill the two enemies that come around from the left. Follow through to the left and straight down this path where the ship is to your right. When you pass the huge cargo crates on your left, turn to the left and shoot the guy that's over here on the steps. Go down these steps and into the door. Follow down this enclosed hallway with beams on the walls. Around the corner is a guy that walks out for you to kill. Take the path dead ahead and through the door. Walk up the ramp and go through the doorway to the outside area. Kill the guy that's hanging out around the front of the cargo crates around the corner. Turn and shoot the lock off the gate to the enclosed crane. Open it up and use the ladder to climb all the way up to the platform high above. Walk out onto the edge and wait for the crane to pick up a big cargo crate off of the train below. You may have to wait a while, so be patient because it will come. Once it picks up one of the crates off of the train, it will pull it up to where you are. Once this happens jump onto the crate and just wait--- don't move. It will go through some double doors and over to the ship to complete the scene. Body Armor Locations: - In the crate room that has the crane coming in and out above Intelligence Item Locations: - On the blue crate at the beginning, next to the lunch box - In the glass-enclosed office, on the book case - In the glass-enclosed office, on the table - After the office, in the crate room on the right Scene 6 ------- Finally, no more alarms! Heheh. Well, even though there's no alarm in these next few levels it's still recommended that you use your silent weapons to avoid alerting guards and throwing the whole pattern off. And as always it's up to you. First, check on the other side of the yellow crate (center left) to see if there's a blue chemical barrel over here. If it is there, do so by equipping your sunglasses. Take a picture by looking at the top of it and hitting the action button when the circle turns green. Now take the center path that would be to the right of where you're facing when you start the level. You will see a guy straight ahead of you walking to your left. Kill him and two more guards will rush you, so pop them. If you cut over to the left from here you can kill the last guy in this room. After dealing with these four guys, find the doorway that is directly to your right from where you're started off. You can't miss it. Before going in, diagonally to the right of this door may be a barrel that you need to photograph. Either way, go through this door I told you to go to. Note: Once you've photographed both barrels, ignore any further instructions to photograph others because there will be none for you. Make a left once inside these tight corridors. Turn the corner to the right and a lone sailor will be in front of you. After killing him, turn in the room off to the left. If you see a yellow barrel next to the ladder, take a picture of it. Go back out and continue forward and to the right. In this room with orange and green crates is two guards talking. Shoot them both in the head and back into the doorway. Turn around and go into the first cutoff room that you were in before. Climb up the ladder, go around and open the door. Turn to the right and carefully shoot the single guard that's up on this platform. Climb down the ladder to the right and in front of you to be in the room with the orange and green crates again. In the left corner is a door that can be opened. Open it up to complete this scene. Chemical Containers: - In front of you, on the side of the yellow cargo at the beginning (blue) - Diagonally to the right of the first door you walk through (blue) - Make the first left once you get in the tight corridors (yellow) Body Armor Locations: - In a corner of the orange & green crate room Intelligence Item Locations: - In the orange & green crate room, on the floor Scene 7 ------- Step out and shoot the guard to the right. Go further down right and shoot the two guards talking to each other around the corner. Take cover behind this crate if need be. Walk to the other side of the level (towards the back) and to where a whole bunch of crates and a platform is. Back here you should see a guard just sitting still. Kill him and the guy that's on the platform above the ladder. Look for the red barrel on ground level. Take a picture of it. Climb up the ladder straight across from it. As you get to the top (second level) immediately turn right and you will see a red button on a panel. Push it and walk onto the lift that lowers. While on the lift, push this red button and it will rise up to the third level. Take a picture of the second barrel up here. Take the lift back down and head back to where you killed the two guys that were talking to each other at the beginning. If you can't remember where this is, it's to the back left if your back is against the lift. Once over here jump into the tunnel with the panel removed. Turn left once inside. Now go down and turn at the THIRD right. This means you will pass two fans up (on your right) and it's the next tunnel on your right. Turn the corner to the left and open the vent up in front of you. Drop down on the pipes and to the right. Now duck down and crawl under the back pipe over to the left. In front of you is a locked gate. First, equip your lighter. Now press down or up on your controller's D-pad, then press the fire button to change the function to a blow torch. Burn the lock off by pointing the miniaturized welder at it and holding the fire button. The lock will pop off and the gate will open. Walk to the right to take the ladder up. Walk over, climb this next ladder, and through the door. Climb up yet another ladder to be met by a guard at the top. Kill him and find his buddy that's in the back close by. Once they're both dead, take the path to the right of the electrical box on the wall. Round the corner to the right and go up the ladder on the right side. Walk around and up the ladder once more to complete the scene. Body Armor Locations: - Take the lift to the third level at the beginning - After you burn the lock off and climb up three ladders Intelligence Item Locations: - Around the corner from the electrical box, and on the duct Scene 8 ------- (A.k.a. "Nine Years Ago... Scene 8") Go down the sewer until you can't go any further. On the broken piece is a piece wood in the wall. Put your sights on it and press the action button to slide it out of your way. Duck down and go through this opening. Go to the left in this basement and up the steps into the pub area. As you open the door stay still while peaking to the left. After the two guys talk, one of them leaves to the right and goes around to the front of the bar. Once he gets to the front and heads left, walk out and step towards the door directly in front of you at the top of these steps. Pick the lock with your tools and go inside. Open the closet on the left and place the safe cracker onto the top-right panel of the safe. Retrieve your safe cracker and pick up the money bag inside. Alright, now it's time to go upstairs to the second floor. There's a flight of steps on each side of the bar. Go up the flight that's closest to the cash register of the bar. When you get to the top you'll see some tables and chairs straight ahead and a doorway to the right. Pass the tables up and go down further. To your right is a hallway leading to the office where the second safe is. In this office is the owner of the pub. Do not let him see you! Get close to this room prompts the scene where he must go to the bathroom. Once he starts leaving the room turn back around and go onto the balcony and hide behind the first table you see. Once he passes you and goes down to the right go into his office. In front of his desk is a hidden panel (look for the small handle on it). Open it up and place the safe cracker onto the safe to open it up. Grab your safe cracker and the second back of money. While still in his office jump up onto the black filing cabinets and pick the lock on the crawlspace. Open it up and climb out onto this platform overlooking the steps. Be careful not to be detected by the worker with the broom if you want to pass the mission as cleanly as possible. Hop down and go down the steps. Open the front door to the pub and walk out to complete the scene. Intelligence Item Locations: - Pull the lever on the cash register and grab the paper inside - On one of the tables in the pub area - Next to the payphone upstairs Scene 9 ------- The ship is flooding in various parts and water has seeped into where you are. Pick up your lighter that's in the water on the floor. Set it to torch and burn the lock off the door that won't open. When you open the door open go around it and to the right, following down. When you get around the corner an explosion occurs in front of you. Hold still. And when it's done, go into the door by you to the right. Passing the barrels and electricity up, go to the left and through the door next to the crates. Go to the left once you get out and around the corner is a hole in the floor and some steaming pipes straight ahead. This part is going to be a tad difficult because you need to get from point A to point B as quickly as possible or you could down. Go into the water, swim forward, turn right, go straight down, open the door on the right, turn right and swim up out of the water through the hole in the floor. Climb out. Take your gun and ammo off the shelf and head all the way back the same way you came. Climb out of the hole and turn the corner to the right. Passing the opened door up, go all the way down to the other side of the hallway. Open the door and go around the corner into a generator room. Jump into the water to the left. Don't worry about touching the spinning generator in the water---it won't hurt you. However, the steam to the left will hurt you if you get near it. Swim over to the left and jump up on the rail to climb up the ladder. Pull the lever on the right site of the electrical box. This cuts off electricity to the part above you. Now swim to the right side of the room and look for a doorway in the corner in the water, beside the generator. Swim down and through it then climb up the ladder. Walk out onto the raised platforms behind you. Quickly go straight out onto it and part of it will break behind you. If you fall simply jump over this part every time you come back up. Walk over to the bigger gap where the electricity used to be. Run and jump at the very last moment to clear the gap. If you fall, simply swim over to the doorway and make your way back up. Once on the other side, open the door to complete the scene. Intelligence item locations: - On top of the pipe in the first room that's sparking - When you go through the first hole, swim down to the bottom Scene 10 -------- It's time to get out of this level. Drop down in the hole around the corner. Pick up the gun that's on the floor by the door. The silencer for it is close to the other wall. Open the door and kill the guard out in the hallway. Turn at the corner and down to what is seemingly a dead end. Shoot the pipe with the yellow valve. It explodes and the water rises quickly. Take the water up and through the hole that's in the ceiling of this dead end. When you get through the hole the water will keep rising. IMPORTANT: Shut this door up here to stop the water from rushing into this area! Once the door is shut follow down the hallways and take a right into a room with some barrels in it. Pass the barrels up and take a left through the doorway. Go straight and into the bridge control room. Walk around the control panels to the other side where the doorway is. Take the first right into a small room where a radio is on the desk. Look at this radio then hit the action button to complete the scene. Intelligence Item Locations: - In the back room past the bridge control room, on the table ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.06 ~ The Dive ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scene 1 ------- Open the door in front of you. Step out a bit to lure the guards in. Step to the side and one will come. Kill him and the next three that come. Step out of the room and into the hallway to the left. Around the corner by the baggage cart is a guard that you can take care of. Pass this civilian up and through the double doors straight ahead. Walk out onto the outside balcony area. On the opposite side are two enemies: kill them. Or if you want to come up behind them, pick the lock on the door in the courtyard below. Either way, work you way into the hallway with the red carpet. Turn the corner and shoot the guy up on the balcony. Across from him is another guard. So turn around, back up, and shoot him before he shoots you. After both balcony guards are dead, another one bursts out of the bedroom to the left. Keep moving forward. When you pass the room with the linen cart out front of it, a few guards will spring out. Be sure to not shoot the maid when the door opens. After they're dead, go into this room. Immediately take cover against a wall where the windows are. If you stand in the line of the windows you can be shot by the guy outside. Open up the window on the left. Look for the guy across from you in the other building. He should be in the top window behind the pine tree. Kill him (you can shoot through the tree as long as you get the auto-aim). Once he's dead, climb out onto the ledge via the window. While looking to the other side, go to the left and around the circular part of this building. Don't fall off or you'll die and fail the mission. Also, bet past this circular part quickly because the ledge eventually breaks away. Once you're past the circular part shoot the guy that's in the open window to the top left. Now that he's dead go over to the fire escape. Equip your belt buckle and grapple to the open window on the other side to complete the scene. Body Armor Locations: - Next to the baggage cart at the beginning - On the shelf in the storage room - In the bedroom to the left after killing the balcony guards Intelligence Item Locations: - In the room across from your room, on the floor - Next to the baggage cart of the balcony intersection - On the fireplace in the room off of killing the balcony guards - On the green bed in the same room above - Next to the chair that's in the room with the deer head on the wall - In the room next to the one above - On the desk where you have to climb out the window Scene 2 ------- To the left is a hatch door that leads to the rooftop area. While still in the attic, duck down by the hatch and shoot the guy that's up on the roof. Open the hatch and climb onto the ledge (don't go out just yet). Turn to the right and kill the other two enemies on the roofs. Now that these dangerous guys are dead, go through the next hatch into another attic area. Around the corner to the left are two guards patrolling up here. Kill them and then kill the guy atop the steps on the right. Walk up the steps and then crawl into the duct space. Follow down until you see the first vent in front of you. There are two guards that you should shoot through this. After that, continue on down the duct past the drop-off and to the vent that exit it. From this vent shoot the guy patrolling the roof to your right. Now drop off to the gutter that's on the right. Walk down it then jump on the lattice with the vines on it. Step onto the small building to drop off to ground level. Walk over to the part where a bunch of vines and latticework is. Climb the lattice next to the building on your right. Get onto the gutter then walk up the center ramp under the water tower. Shoot the enemy that's up on top. With your back toward the ramp go straight ahead and over to the right. See the gutter that wraps around? Walk onto and take it around the corner. After the window is weak section in the gutter. Once you step onto it it starts to break away. Quickly back up to the window again. With the gutter broke off, open the window up next to you. Hit the action button then back up to let it open. Once inside this third attic kill the two guards around the corner. Hop over the duct and to the window. Open it up to climb out on this other section of gutter. Work you way to the left and straight down to another vent. Go inside and take it straight down. When you see a light part of duct in front of you quickly walk into the center of it. It breaks away to the floor below. If you positioned yourself correctly you land on or in the vat of beer. If you, you could be killed. Climb down and out of the vat of beer. Head out the doorway to the right. Straight ahead is a door with an "Out of service" sign on it. Take the path on your left. When you round the corner you will be in a rather large room with balconies above you. Walk forward a bit and kill the guys up on the balconies. Once they're dead go through the double doors in this same room. Turn left in this hallway to complete the scene. Body Armor Locations: - Just as you walk in the second attic, to the right behind box - Next to the steps in the second attic - In the room with the vat of beer, next to the fridge - In the hallway to the right after the vat of beer Intelligence Item Locations: - On the roof where you kill the three guards at the beginning - Hanging in the small hut that's attached to the lattice & vines - On top of the building with the water tower - In the room with the vat of beer, on the counter top - Next to the love seat near the Out of Service door Scene 3 ------- Ha! Well isn't that strange? Scene 3 isn't a level at all. Instead, it a fairly long cutscene. I'm guessing that since it was such a big cutscene that the developers couldn't fit the level into the ram with the level. So that called it a scene and made the next level Scene 4! Be aware that this is the first of several times a cutscene is counted as an actual scene. Scene 4 ------- This is the very first scuba mission in the game. The whole mission takes place under water. No worries, though, you're equipped with a scuba outfit with tons of air and a spear gun. Why the spear gun you ask? Oh, just for sharks and other scuba enemies! From the start, up and above you is a hole in the ship. Swim straight through the hole then look for a hole in the ceiling where electricity is sparking. Swim up through this then open the door that's up here. When you go through the door, make a right and swim down to the left. Okay, in front of you to your right is a door. Just past that is a ramp leading to a big open area with sharks. Don't go into this area yet. Instead, open the door and swim into this office. First, pick up the shipping manifest that's on the desk in this room. Then set your sights on the three sharks that circle the room outside the window. Wait for them to get close to the window. When they do, shoot them (preferably in the head). The glass will break, giving you a better view. Every time they come close to the windows shoot at them. Do this until they're dead. Alternatively, you could go out there and risk getting killed. When they're both dead, swim out into this room with big cargo holders in it. Swim across this room into the open vent. Make a left, another left, and then a right into a room with a bunch of shelves. Go around the shelf and through the doorway to your left. Then open the door in between the blue barrels. When you come out turn right and work your way down the halls. Enter the room with the blown out wall to your left. Swim through the hole in the ceiling where the electricity is sparking. Swim over the balcony once up here, then to the left up the case of steps. Swim around the two beams in the center and go through the door to the left. When you get out and to your left is a long hallway that turns left. When you get to the corner an explosion occurs in front of you. Continue down and around till you get to an area where there's open doorways on both sides. Pass them up and you'll be at a T- junction. Go right and open the door here. On the bed is the captain's log that you should grab. After taking the captain's log, turn around and go back out the doorway. Immediately shoot and kill the scuba diver in front of you. Then turn and look down the long hallway to your left to peg the guard at the other end. Pop the other one that comes by this same guy as well. Now the basic idea is to backtrack a bit until you get to a certain point (which I'll point out later on). So go back down this hallway and turn right where the two dead guys are. Open the door on the right, kill the guy by these beams. This diver takes quite a few shots to kill, so back up and hide behind the corner every time you reload your spear gun. Once he's dead pass the beams and go to the left. Shoot the guy straight ahead. Now look down the hole in the floor to shoot the guy in the back of the head. Go down and through the hole in the wall as well. Be careful while making this next right: straight ahead will be two guys for you to kill. Behind them is a newly opened doorway. Go in it and turn to the right. Rush the guy in the center of the room to shoot him up close. This is the crate room. On the other side on the left is a doorway. (HUGE NOTE: If this door isn't open that means you forgot the shipping manifest!). Lure the scuba diver out to get the head shot when he arrives in front of you. Swim through the doorway and down the ladder into a hallway. Take this hallway to the right until you get to where you see a vent on the floor. Swim up into the duct this vent fell off of. Swim up, around and down to exit this tunnel/duct. When you exit take the path to the left. If you somehow accidentally go right and fallen wreckage blocks the passage, simply go up the duct again and back around. Swim into the hole in the gray tubular thing. Swim towards the top to complete the scene. Intelligence Item Locations: - Next to the forklift under the office, in the first room with sharks - Between some cargo holders on the floor of the shark room - Inside the open cargo holder at the bottom of the shark room - After swimming over the balcony and into the room with two beams - On the shelf of the room with a bunch of shelves - In the kitchen, on the counter - Next the yellow ladder that's blocked off - Inside the dresser drawer of the room with the captain's log ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.07 ~ A Man of Influence ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scene 1 ------- This is a sneaking mission. Simply put: you cannot be seen by anyone. This includes guards, workers, and cameras. On top of that you cannot kill anyone either! Life's tough for a spy, eh? So this whole walkthrough tells you how to pass the level without being spotted, naturally. In my opinion, the mission gets easier as you go. You have to pass a few tough spots before you're on easy street. Adhere to this walkthrough and you'll pass the scene with flying colors. In front of you is a sliding glass door. Outside of this door is a camera that goes to both hallways. While behind the glass, wait for the camera to look to the right where the two workers are talking. Quickly sneak to the left and around the corner. When you turn the corner to the door in front of you is a cafeteria with two ladies talking in it. To your right is a hallway that doubles as an office. Firstly, in this office area set the trash can on first with your lighter. Quickly run into the doorway of the cafeteria---but don't go completely in just yet. When you see the guard coming to the right of the doorway go into the cafeteria and directly under the camera. Do not get too close to the two women! When the camera starts to look away from the women (and behind you) dash through the doorway, past the hall, and into the bathroom. If done quickly, no cameras or guards will spot you and you will be safe for now. Quickly knock two or three of the boards down by tapping the action button while looking at them. You're now in an area with a bunch of wood and construction materials. Avoid the guard by going to the other end of the room staying against the wall to your left. Turn right and cut in towards the door in the center of the right wall. When the guard walks away go for the door. Here's the tricky part of this area. Above this door is a camera that swings to the left and right hallways. To the right is a guard patrolling up and down. When you open the door back off and wait for this guard to come up. Once he turns around and goes back the other way walk outside the door while looking the camera above you. Once the camera looks to the right hallway (where the guard is), dash to the left and into the office with glass doors that's closest to you. Hide behind the desk while you gather yourself. ;) While waiting in this office you'll overhear the conversation between the guy in a brown and the reception. Don't do anything just yet. First wait for him to walk to his office then walk back to the front desk talking to the receptionist again. Then make sure that camera that you just passed is looking down the right side hallway and there's no guard around. Now jet directly across the hall straight ahead (not right or left!) into the security office. Walk to the back and pull the lever on the wall. This disables the security alarm but people still can’t detect you or you'll fail. Cameras no longer work, so that's a load off you. Anyway, at this point the guy in the brown suit should have finished his conversation and walked down the hallway. You want to go in this direction. Run back across into the office with the glass doors. If you didn't see where the guy in the suit went to, put your back against the desk. Now go left out the door. Cut over into the main hallways passing the front desks up. This hallway turns right, but don't turn with it. Go into the door on the left at the turn. On the desk is a pen holder. Look at it and hit the action button. This lowers the bookcase to reveal a hidden entrance. In here hit the switch on the wall to lower some steps from the ceiling. When you get to the top open the silver door with holes in it. Go up the steps fixed to the wall. Go up and around into a rooftop area. Out here is two guys talking. And, of course, don't let them see you for stealth reasons. Once they start walking into the corner above, dash to the left while staying close to the wall. On this wall is a electrical box with a lever on it. Pull the lever and this lowers the windows around the dome in the center. Duck down and then drop down into the dome. Look at the remote on the small table then hit the action button. A small model will be revealed in the center of the room. Pick up the pen dart on this same table if you want it. Now that you have visual evidence it's time to head back to the beginning of the level where you talked to the first receptionist. Hit the switch panel to open the door. Go through the brown door and down the steps. Walk out of the office and take the path straight ahead (it's safe now since the two scientists are in the office to your left). Walk back into this beginning office to complete the scene. Intelligence Item Locations: - On the receptionist's desk at the start - On top of the stack of wood in the area under construction - Across from the security office, in on the office desk - In the office across from the receptionist's front desk - On the counter behind the receptionist's desk (front office) - In the dome, on the small table - On the desk of the room w/the two scientists towards the end Scene 2 ------- Your partner, Tom Goodman, walks over to the booth. Walk over to the blue car and look towards the right side van. Tom eventually lures a guard out and they walk to the right side of the van. Once the guard is over here get the auto- aim on his head and take one shot. Walk over to the left and get the head shot on the guard in the boot (you can shoot through the glass). Next, walk behind the van on the right, and onto the sidewalk. While behind it equip your robot poodle. Release it onto this sidewalk by hitting the shoot button. The poodle will go over to the K-9 and distract it with some puppy love. Staying away from the two cameras, make your way to the left side. Walk towards the part of the boot facing the street. Quickly peak around to the right, close the door, and then step back. The quickly do this same exact thing but instead open the door and go inside. This works because the camera takes a split second to focus on you. Once inside pull the lever. Sneak out and to the front. Then go around the left and back to sneak under the camera. Run through the gate. Go inside the door on the left to complete the scene. Intelligence Item Locations: - Lying in front of the dog house (use robot poodle on it) Scene 3 ------- In this level you can't let the alarm get set or you'll fail the mission. Guards can spot you, but if they get to an alarm it's over. Also, being spotted by cameras and using loud weapons will certainly guarantee mission failure. Use your silenced pistol throughout the whole level. From the get-go, grab the ammo off the shelf and then equip your silenced pistol. If you don't equip this specific weapon then your odds of completing this scene are zero to none. With your pistol equipped, open the door and look to the top of the ramp where the two guys are talking. Shoot both of them in the head. The best way to do this is first get the auto-aim on one's head, shoot him, then immediately shoot again. This works because as soon as you kill the first one your aim immediately goes to the next one's head. Open the door on the left and go inside. Inside this generator room is two guys talking behind the generators straight ahead. Walk around to the left side and look between the isle. Shoot booth of them in the head quickly. After they're dead go down the ramp around the corner. Round the corners and straight ahead above the doorway is a camera. Hide behind a barrel on either side. When it turns the opposite way quickly run under it, avoiding detection. Go around, pass the window, and climb up the ladder into this control room. Kill the guard up here and take a picture of this first ledger. Time to backtrack. Head back to the generator room where steam is coming out of the floor next to where you kill the two guards. Pick the lock on the door to your right and go inside. Equip your silenced pistol again. Turn to the right and wait for the guard to come past then shoot him in the head. Climb up the ladder straight ahead then take a left into the gray door. Pass through this first room then open another gray door. Kill the two enemies in here talking. Take a picture of this second ledger that's on the table. Open the door closest to this ledger and go down the stairwell. Turn right once you get to a track area. Walk down the track and to the left. In front of you is a locked gate: pick the lock. From here you can go left or right. If you want to get the body remover and some ammo, go right. Regardless of what you decide on doing, you still have to go out this door and to the outside. In this doorway is a camera. When it looks to the left sneak to the right to the train area. This train is harmless just as long as you jump over quickly. When a flatbed section is in front of you jump on it and to the other side. Go down and open the door to the left. Don't go in. Just wait until a guard walks in front of it then pop him in the head. Go through the door and turn right. Wait here for the guy to cross your path ahead. Get the head shot on him or your cover will be blown! Once he's dead, sneak under the camera around the corner to the left. Go inside the building via this door under the security camera. Pass the desk up and enter the pump room. On the other side of the fence to your right are two enemies having a funny conversation. Waste no time---shoot both of them through the fence, not allowing them to sound the alarm. Walk around to their side of the fence. Climb up the yellow ladder past them. Take this platform all way around until you see a doorway in front of you. Walk into the door then stop and look to your right down the hall. When you see the guard starting to walk towards you back out of the hallway and on the platform again. Wait for him to come by this doorway then shoot him dead. Go back into the hallway and go down about until the doorway on your left. When you stop here look at the camera. Wait for it to turn to your left where it can't see you. At this point run straight down and hide directly under it. When the camera turns towards the hallway run to the gray door near you and go inside, open the fence, then photograph the third ledger. Now it's time to get out of this area. Backtrack exactly to where you came in this building at (under the camera). Once outside, jump over the small yellow guardrail and cut to the left. Walk through the open gate to complete the scene. Body Armor Locations: - In the control room, next to the switchboard - Next to the first ledger, in the corner - In the storage room above the pump room - In storage room #2 above the pump room Intelligence Item Locations: - On the floor next to the second ledger - Just before you get into the pump room, on the table Scene 4 ------- Like a previous part of the game, this scene is merely a cutscene. Once it's over you're forwarded to scene 5. Scene 5 ------- Walk up to the front door. Ring the doorbell and the butler will answer it. When prompted, choose the second answer. Then choose the first or second answer after this. It does not matter. As long as you don't annoy the butler and you convince him you're doing an article on Dumas, he'll let you in. //COMMENTARY You can get to a hidden area of this house. It's an area under the house that has Dumas' hunting grounds and target practice. You can even get a try at the grenade launcher down here. To get down here, go to the right of the house and use the robot poodle to distract the dog. Then take the elevator down. //COMMENTARY Intelligence Item Locations: - In the driver-side seat of the car (open the door) - On the left side of the bushes, in the garbage can next to house Scene 6 ------- For ease-sake, choose the second question every time. Doing so gets a lot of information from him and, most importantly, it gets you through the mission. After this lengthy conversation and the butler gets his final say in, the scene is complete. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.08 ~ Safecracker ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scene 1 ------- If you sound the alarm the mission still goes on. Luckily, though, sounding an alarm is a harder thing to do in previous levels. This is because the only way the alarm goes off is if the security cameras notice something suspicious like seeing you or a dead guard. Guards themselves cannot set off the alarm, thankfully. I will give you this walkthrough with the idea of not setting off any alarm. With your crossbow equipped, get the attention of the guards out in the open then hide behind the stack of wood. When they come by you (there should be five of them total), kill them all. Pick up their weapons and equip the pistol or machine gun since the crossbow isn't reliable as the others. While still at the beginning, jump onto the wood, jump over the fence and onto the ledge where the ramp is. Walk around the ramp while on this ledge. Sneak under the camera around the corner to your left. Go inside this big doorway and climb up the yellow ladder. Walk around the wall and wait at the top by this other ladder. Look below to see a guard walking by the crates: shoot him in the head then climb down the ladder. Where you just kill him, to the right and around the corner is a smoking forklift in the corner. Walk up to in and look at the control panel. Press the action button and this forklift will run into the hanger door straight, and it will open up. Head through this door, turn around to the left and kill these two guards. While standing where these guards are, turn to your right and look for a gray door. Open it up and go down the stairwell. Turn left at the bottom of the stairwell and go through the door. Out here and in front of you is a worker by a big blue structure. Kill him then go left at this structure. Go forward a bit, peak around the left then shoot the two guards talking. From here cut through the center to kill two more guards. Make a U-turn around to the right and kill the guard by this wood in the corner. In this same area is the generator that powers the lift. Torch the lock on the fence or use the green crates to get over here. Either way hit the red button on the generator to restore the power. Exit this fence. Right around the corner from this generator is a lift. Get on it then hit the switch to take it up. Up here jump on the boxes to get over the gate and back to the beginning of the level. Do the same thing you did before: jump on the wood, over the fence, then sneak under the camera. Only this time you don't go into the building. And be more careful since you're going directly into the camera's sight. Instead, go over to the left where a fenced area is with some crates and a lift in the corner. In front of the two cars is a locked gate. Use the protruding part of the building to hide from the camera. Stay here and quickly burn the lock off of the gate. Be sure not to alert the guard inside the fenced area, to your right. Open the gate then gate on the lift in front of you. Hit the switch on the panel to complete the scene. Body Armor Locations: - In the building in front of you at the start, next to the table - After climbing down the ladder, it's in the corner behind wooden crates - Instead of going right and down the stairwell, go center left - Next to the office desk just around the corner from the blue structure Intelligence Item Locations - In the building in front of you at the start, on the table - On the wooden plank, just before you climb down the ladder to the crates - After the one above, climb the down ladder, turn right and behind you - On the office desk just around the corner from the blue structure Scene 2 ------- It's boss time, Inge style! Run over to the right while staying against the wall. Take out the guard over here. Go up to the radio that's on the barrel. Hit the switch to turn it off. Inge runs over to turn it back on. Run over to the top left corner and wait for the music to come back on. As soon as it does hit this switch on the wall and this will zap her. Hit the switch again to turn the electricity off near the radio. Run back over to the radio and turn it off again. Keep doing this until she's dead. Take the elevator up to complete the scene. Body Armor Locations: - On the ground, at the start - Northeast corner of the level Intelligence Item Locations: - On top of the stack of wood, next to the lunch box Scene 3 ------- Walk over the two beams that bridge the gap, pass the stack of wood. Go through the doorway, go left then shoot the two guards having a conversation. Shoot the third guard and head straight down towards the green crates to shoot another guard. Make a right at these crates and follow through until you come out to the opening with the sky above. Turn around then look up. You should see a guard atop this area: kill him then head around the wall on your right. Look over the chain barrier and shoot the two guards then shoot the one on the left across from where you are. Run up the steps to the top and use this area to take out any enemies you see across form this area. Go back down. Jump over the chain barrier and onto the white all that acts as a step in which you can get to the bottom with. Fall onto the brown crates so you won't take damage. Go around the wall to where the wooden gate is. Shoot or pick the look then proceed in to open the door on the right. Kill the guy inside. Equip your belt buckle then look up. Aim at the glowing panel on the beam and pull yourself up. As you come up, shoot the guy around the corner by the yellow shelves. Then go through the doorway to where the blue hitch and yellow floodlight are. Hug the wall around to the right and through the door. Stop then slowly walk over to the three boards using the ledge. Look up to see a second grapple point. Equip your belt buckle then pull yourself up. Walk through the doorway, then jump on the boxes to get on the rooftop of this area. Shoot the guy below then walk over the orange beam on the right side. Fall off to the platform on the left then walk onto the short beam. Brush against it as you fall to the next lowest platform to the left. Walk along the beam, brushing against the next vertical one to get to the next on, and hop over to the platform behind the big yellow crane. Go through the doorway, take the elevator down, then shoot the guy at the bottom. On the other side of the crane is a ladder attached. Jump up to it and climb towards the top to complete the scene. Body Armor Locations: - By the fence just after you kill the two guards talking - On the floor at the first grapple point - On top of one of the yellow shelves Intelligence Item Locations: - Hanging on the first cement part of beam, at very beginning of level - On the table at the first grapple point in the level - On top of one of the yellow shelves Scene 4 ------- Look on the right side of this storage building. Wait for the guard to walk near the corner, opposite to you, then kill him. Two more guards will rush you from the left or even the right sometimes. Kill them then go around the right side, sneak under the camera, and into the locker building. Look out the window that's on the left as you enter. You should see a helipad and some red barrels in the corner. Shoot the barrels from in here and they'll blow up. Now go through the double doors and sneak under the camera above this door. Run over to the left and climb down the ladder to where the barrels were that you blew up. Sneak under the camera and enter the door. Kill the guard on the right then go into the door on the left into the first furnace. Kill the two guards in here then open the door in the back. Hit the switch on the wall in front of the ladder. Leave this furnace room and back out to the helipad. Run over to the duct in the corner and climb up using the blue crates. Open the vent and follow down. Look through the shades and to the left: shoot the guy inspecting the machine. Shoot the shades for them to break. Walk out onto the duct and over to the furnace. Shoot the shades up here as well. Go inside then climb up the ladder. As you get to the top of this ladder open the vent. Hop down and go on either side of the elevator and shoot the guard. While in this elevator lobby go around the backside of the elevator and look for a panel on the wall. Open it then hit the switch to open the elevator doors. Go through the doors and grab onto the ladder. Start going down and the elevator below will come up to you. Open the hatch and hop down inside. Step outside with the two guards but don't let the camera at the above see you. Lure them to the backside and kill them. Near the back wall is an opening to a bridge that leads across the pool area below. Run across it to the other side. When you get over here you'll see another elevator shaft but don't bother with it. Hit the orange button on the wall and the window washer lift should come over to you. If it didn't you forgot to restore power to it: shoot the lock off the vent nearby, go down and hit the button. Get onto the lift and then press the button that's on it to complete the scene. Body Armor Locations: - On the bench of the locker building - In the room just off the helipad - In the second storage building past the second camera, behind boxes - Towards the end of the level, in front of the window-washer lift Intelligence Item Locations: - On the box in the first storage building - On the floor of the locker building - In the furnace room on the left, on the floor - Lying on the table of the room just off the helipad - Floating in the pool in between the two furnace rooms - Next to the plant in the elevator lobby - On the ground next to where you burn the lock off the grate - Towards the end of the level, in front of the window-washer lift Scene 5 ------- One of this scene's objectives is to gather at least eight intelligence items. If you need help finding any, please refer to the intel’ item locations section after the walkthrough. Open the door straight ahead. Run out and down the right, and then open the door on your left. The guard probably saw you, so just wait for him to come in then kill him. Go down the left where he came from. Beware of the camera in the corner. Work your way into the room closest to it on the right then dash out and under it. Work your way further down the hallway to see the second camera. Sneak under it and round the corner. You'll see the third camera to the left of some magazine racks. Hide behind the wall that the racks are on, then sneak under this camera before it can be alerted. Continue ahead and on your immediate left is big sliding door. Open this and go into this first office area. Head through the gray door on the opposite side. Make a right when you get into this back area and then climb down the ladder to below. Walk around and through the doorway that leads to this second office area. There's a bunch of cameras outside this room so now it's time to make the guards come inside where you're at---with no cameras. Open the door straight ahead and lure the guy leaning on the wall. Once he chases in, run back behind the back desk and take cover. Shoot him and all other enemies when they get inside this office. You should be able to get four of them like this. The fifth one can be stubborn sometimes and not want to come it. Just screw around and he'll eventually bite the bait. Go out into the hall and very quickly sneak under the camera on the left pathway and through the door. Off the room to your right is a room that should have a code breaker in it, if you don't have one already. Follow around the corner until you see a security both straight ahead. The door to it is on the left: go inside and place the code breaker on the panel in the corner. This opens the elevator doors across from here. (Now is a good time to go back and get any intel’ items you may have missed) Avoiding the camera in the corner, sneak into the elevator to complete the scene. Body Armor Locations: - At the start, in the closest on your left - In the break room, on the floor Intelligence Item Locations: - At the start, on the black table - The second room as you get out to the first hallway, behind the desk - In the room on the right just before the first camera - On the bookshelf in the room just before the second camera - On the bench before near the magazine racks - Just outside the first office area, under a bench - On a desk in the first office area - Under a desk in the first office area - On the table in the second office area - Under a desk in the second office area - On top the last toilet in the ladies' bathroom - On top the second toilet in the men's room - Bottom shelf in a storage room - In between seats of the auditorium - Next to the podium in the auditorium - On a table just outside the auditorium Scene 6 ------- Kill the guard patrolling above with a non-silenced weapon. This will alert two other guards around the corner for you to kill. Go out where they came from into a more open room. A camera is in the center of the room at the bottom, so avoid it at all costs. Quickly duck under the steps then sneak under it as it looks the other way. Then, when it looks the other way run towards the other doorway on your right. As you get into this hallway there's going to be a camera in front of a door around the corner. Sneak your way past and around the next corner to another camera. Like always; sneak under it but then go in the room in front of it. Look through the window then shoot the two guys talking to each other. Stay here and kill the next few guards that run by as well. Go out and around where you just killed them. Ignoring the stairwell on your right, go down the path on the left. Sneak past the camera and continue around. In the room on your left is a control room with a switch inside that disables the alarm: do this if you want to. The door on your right is the one you need to go through to complete the scene. Body Armor Locations: - In the control room and on the floor - In a red-lit room on the top platform area, next to desk Intelligence Item Locations: - In the room the second camera is in front of - Just before the stairwell, in a back room - In a red-lit room on the top platform area, on the desk - On the top platform area, under a bench - On the top platform area, on a oriental chair Scene 7 ------- Go through the door, and open the sliding door in this room. Shoot the guard out in this office area that's to your left. Back into the room and against the wall. Wait for three more guards to rush in and kill them. Head to the right side of this office area, and up the flight of steps. Go into the first door on your left. At the bend, on your right is a door. Open it and you should see a guard who has just passed out in a chair. For kicks shoot him and collect his ammo. Keep going around the bend and to the door with the small white sign above it (with oriental writing on it). This is the Baron's office. Go up the steps on the left then collect the code breaker that's on the desk (unless you already have it). Open the sliding door on your right then walk up to the crooked picture with the fox on it. Press the action button and this will reveal a panel. Place your code breaker on the panel. When it finishes, grab your code breaker, and head through the secret passageway just opened in the fireplace. Walk around to the first of a series of rooms that area rigged with lasers. Equip your lighter and change it to the welder function. Walk towards the center of the room just before where the two black lines are on the wall. Press and hold the fire button and you should see lasers going up and down. Normally, the lasers go at a steady speed. Once in a while they will speed up, ensuring you getting caught. After the fast speed is over, run past the laser as it rises. Take a left into this second laser room. All the while holding down the fire button for the torch, work your way past these four lasers. Just stop into between each one and you shouldn't have a problem. Note that if a laser is tripped, the rooms seals shut and deadly gases are seeped inside. After the lasers are clear, turned right into the third laser room. This room is tough. So if you're having problems with it, prepare to be ticked off. Hopefully this walkthrough will help you. This room is *really* not that hard once one is shown what to do. Hold your torch's fire out as usual. When the bottom laser comes towards you start following it against the back wall. As it comes back to you again, jump over it and towards the wall. Duck down and follow along the wall, ducking past the lasers as they move up and down. This picture that I made shows what to do: http://cloud.prohosting.com/446/nolf_laser.png When you get to the end you will set a fourth laser room. Don't go into this room. Instead, open the vent that's in this little opening, right below you. Drop down inside. Walk down to the right, and around the corner. Open up the vent above and climb up inside. Equip your glasses then take a picture of the book to complete the scene. Body Armor Locations: - Next to a desk at the beginning - Under the stairs, in the office area at the beginning - Corner of the room where the guard passes out at Intelligence Item Locations: - On a desk at the beginning - On a desk at the beginning - Under a desk at the beginning - Beneath the second laser room (use the vent to get into) - In the safe, at the end ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.09 ~ Rescue Attempt ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scene 1 ------- Go through the door on your left side. Make a right and walk down and around to kill the two enemies talking. Do this with your silenced handgun and do it quickly, or you may blow your cover and blow the mission. Go through the doors to the next train car. Passing the two doors up, go through and to the next car in the back. As you enter, open the wooden door and inside this small room. Collect the passenger roster off the desk then head back out. Head all the way back to the car where you started at (the kitchen area). Head through the door on the opposite end and to the dining. Holster your weapon and pass the passengers up. If you see the ticket checker, hide to the side and wait for him to pass. Go into the next car that's a passenger area. Work your way to the next car that has seats facing the widows. Continue again to the next car. Shoot the two guys at the other end with your silenced pistol. Go into the second room on the left that you can see through the window. Pick up the passenger ticket off the table. Continue down into the next car. Pass this car up and into the last car. Knock on the first door with teh vacant sign on it to talk to your contact. Holster your weapon and head all the way back to the other end of the train. Now that you have the passenger ticket the ticket checker won't spot you. Pass the kitchen up and get to the area with the wooden paneling on the walls. Go to the last room and open the door to apprehend the HARM agent. After the cutscene turn and kill the guy walking down. Go back to the next car and kill the guy down the hall. Move to the kitchen area once more. Kill the guy at the other end. Move into the dining and don't hesitate to kill the guy at the other end. Don't worry about alarming anyone since the ticket checker is gone. Move to the first passenger car to kill the guy in here. Move forwards into the second passenger car then kill the two guys ahead. When you get to the end of the next car, two enemies will come out of one of the rooms behind you. Kill them and then move to the next car. Pass through this car and open the doors into a freight area. Shoot and kill the two guys hiding behind the crates. Continue through the door and out to the caboose. Jump over the valve and onto the caboose itself. Turn the knob to complete the scene. Body Armor Locations: - In the same room where the passenger roster is Intelligence Item Locations: - In the second car, two doors down in the storage room - Under a seat, in the car after the dining area - At the end of the second passenger car - Next to the table that has the passenger ticket - On the sink in one of the sleep areas Scene 2 ------- From the train, shoot and kill both guards ahead. If you want to just crouch behind a rail, wait for the train to pass them, and then hop of to kill them as it slows down. Once they're dead you can get the body armor out of the shack/cabin if you need it. Go over to the boards nailed up on the tunnel. Break the board by shooting them, or---if you want to save ammo---jump over the boards. Head down this train tunnel and out into a compound area. Shoot at the guard walking across the bridge straight ahead. Now take cover in the alcove on your immediate left then kill the few guards as they come out towards you. While on the tracks, walk to the right where the grassy hill is. Climb the hill, round the building to your left and look for a hole in the building on the right (near the two barrels). If you don't know what building I'm talking about, it's the lighter building with the Dumas Lumber Co. sign on it. Duck down into the hole and under the building. Follow the path under this building until you get to a broken part of the floor where a ramp is. Go up the ramp and into the room. Open the door into and go into this lumber garage. Kill any guards you see in here then head outside. Avoid the camera straight down and to the left. Head through the lumber and follow the path back to the right, killing the one guard that's back here. Eventually you'll see a stack of wood you're able to jump on. Jump on it then leap over the fence to complete the scene. Body Armor Location: - In the cabin after you get off the train - In the room where you come the ramp from under building Intelligence Item Locations: - Hanging next to the boards just before you enter the train tunnel - On one of the blue crates just after getting out of train tunnel Scene 3 ------- Walk forward, hugging the building on your left. Equip a machine gun then peak out around the corner. The idea is to kill every guard with one continuous spray of bullets (i.e. get head shots only). Otherwise, you may take considerable damage from them shooting you. When they're hop onto the motorcycle by looking at in then hitting the action button. Avoid the camera that's on the building behind the motorcycle. Drive down the path, through the gate, and stop behind the big rock at the right turn. Pull out an accurate gun like your silenced shepherd. Kill the two guards stationed at the toll both further down the path. Take cover once they start shooting, then quickly return fire until they're no more. Get back on the bike and take it down to this booth. Walk to the red-striped gate and raise it. Hop on your motorcycle & continue through. As you drive down a bit you will see some guards. Get off the bike and kill them. A third one will run towards you. If you need to take cover, hide behind your motorcycle. Get back on the motorcycle to continue down and around the trail where you'll see three more guards. Move up, kill one, move up, kill one and then the last one. Get back on your bike, proceeding along the path. Eventually you will see a helicopter ahead. Stop, get off your bike. The helicopter will go back and forth. When it comes past you light it up with machine gun bullets (assuming you have a lot). It will smoke eventually, and a bit more shooting will bring it down. Once the helicopter is down, turn left with the path. Shoot the guards that are up in the tower. Be quick because one has grenade launcher. Climb up to the top of the tower via the ladder in the front of it. If there is anyone up here, kill them. Now pick up the code breaker and the GL (they may have fallen on the rock below this platform). Push the red button up here then climb back down the ladder. Across from the ladder is a panel that was revealed by pushing the button in the tower. Place your code breaker on it and when it stops a new entrance is opened to your left. Not bothering with the motorcycle, retrieve your code breaker then go into the entrance to complete the scene. Body Armor Locations: - In the toll booth, on the floor Intelligence Item Locations: - On the platform between the two stacks of wood (beginning) - In the toll booth, on the desk Scene 4 ------- Walk down the catwalk until you spot a guard below. Aim at his head and shoot. If this doesn't kill him fire at him until he drops. Continue down the catwalk and do the same to the second guard in this area. Get to the end where the steps. Walk down the steps halfway, then shoot the guard that's in the booth. Do not let him come out! Once he's dead sneak to the right and into the window you shot through by ducking down and walking through it. There's a camera behind this booth so don't let it spot you or more guards will come. Next to the door in this both is a switch on the wall: hit in then exit the same way you came. Go behind the booth sneak under the camera and then through the big vault-like door that just opened. Follow this crate area through, making a right at the fan. To your right will be a door and glass window. A guard patrols this hallway, so be sure to kill him whenever you spot him. Shoot out the bottom-right piece of glass window (the square). Do it with you silenced handgun but don't shoot the scientist in here (well, you can but it's shunned upon :P) Duck down and go to the right as soon as you enter the room to hide under the camera. Pick up the lighter off of the desk then crawl back out the window you shot out. Go down the hall and around the bend. Open the door with the button panel. Kill the guard straight ahead. On the left side of this hallway will be an elevator which you can't use just yet. So go down and open the door. Turn around the corner then wait for the guard to pass above the ladder ahead. Kill him then climb the ladder to the catwalks above. Work your way into the adjacent room to the right (it's just like the crate room you're currently above). Kill the two guards below that are conversing and the one on the catwalk with you. After they're all dead, head back out to the hallway. Remember where the elevator was and you went in the door just past the ramp? Well go down the ramp this time (it's down the hall from the elevator and on the right). Go down the ramp into the bottom part of the first crate room. At the bottom of the ramp, make a right into the adjacent crate room. Avoiding the camera in the back right corner, make another right into a fairly hidden room. Equip your lighter's torch then burn the lock off the gate. Equip your gun and then turn around to the left. Avoiding the lady, kill the guard that's beside her. Hit the red button on the control panel to disable the alarm system pick up the security pass off of the desk and head back out, up the ramp, and to the elevator. Put the card into the panel next the elevator. The elevator door will open. Pull your card back out if you want this intel’ item. Get on the elevator and take it down to complete the scene. Body Armor Locations: - In the booth where the vault-like door's switch is - Next to the panel that disables the alarm system Intelligence Item Locations: - On a green crate in one of the rooms with a bunch of crates - On the table across from the switch that disables alarm system Scene 5 ------- Step off the lift and take a right while equipping your silenced pistol. Round the corners and shoot the guy by the benches. Then kill the one that comes out of the lab to the right. Pass the benches and take the first right down the winding hallway. //TRICK For a funny little scene crouch down just before the first window and listen to the scientists talk. Just wait for them to finish talking and seconds later, a surprise. ;) Doing this will set the alarm off, so this isn't recommended for actually finishing the level. However, give it a try then restart the level afterwards unless you don't care about the alarm. //TRICK Acting as if you didn't do the trick above, creep towards the first window and shoot the guard that's inside. This will alarm the scientists and that funny scene mentioned above will not take place. Continue down the hall and make a left. If you see a guard over here take them out. When you turn the corner you should see a door to your left and an open doorway to your right. Go straight down the hallway and turn right as it goes this way. A bit further down is a grated door. Hit the switch on the wall to call this second lift up. Get inside when it arrives, then it will take you down momentarily. When you get to the lower floor turn left approach the window and shoot the two guards talking on the other side. Go through the door. Further down is a t- junction. First shoot the guard on the left then the one on the right. Now go left and pick the lock off of the double doors. Go inside to talk to Doctor Schenker. After the cutscene collect the code breaker that's on the table if you don't already have it. Go out and to the opposite side of the intersection to place the code breaker on the panel. The door opens, collect your code breaker. As you go through and down the purple-ish hallway stop at the first panel with a yellow circle on it. Wait for the lighting to strike. Right after it stops, cut over to the right. Keep doing this through the labyrinth. Killing the guard on the left wall as soon as you're able to. At the end, walk up the steps and up the ramp to the locked door. (Note that if Schenker isn't with you at this point you need to go back and get him at the electricity part. Take the course slower) Place your code breaker on the panel to unlock the door. Retrieve it and head through. Kill the guard that rushes towards you from on top the steps. Pick the lock on the gate to your immediate left. Collect all the stuff in this storage room then head out and up the steps. Make a right at the top and you will see a scaffolding in this room. Head up and around the ramp (killing any guards you may encounter). With Schenker still following, sneak under the camera as it looks to your right when you get to the top. Head forward and through the door to complete the scene. Body Armor Locations: - In the storage area to the left of the elevator (down the steps) - Behind a barrel, at the lower part of the level Intelligence Item Locations: - In the storage area to the left of the elevator (down the steps) - Next to the gated barrels, in one of the science labs - On a wagon-like cart right before Doctor Schenker ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.10 ~ Trouble in the Tropics ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scene 1 ------- Look to the left of the crate then shoot the guy on your left in the head. When the other one checks his partner out, shoot him too. Go over to their bodies to wait behind the crate. Above the small bridge is a security camera. To avoid it wait till it looks the other way, sneak under it, then across the small bridge. Hide behind the green crate that's to the left once you cross it. Sneak under the camera on the other side and through the double doors. Around the corner are two guards talking. Important: equip a louder gun in your inventory, but not the sniper rifle. The Petri, Gordon, or Hampton will work just fine. Peak around the corner before they finish the conversation and shoot both dead. Wait for a third one to come around the corner: let him get all the way around then shoot him dead. Go down and around the corner to the right while ducking behind the orange crate. Quickly dash across to the door and into this office with glass windows. If you don't have the code breaker take it off the desk. Look out the window on your left and straight down the hallway. Eventually you'll see a guard at the other end. Shoot him then dash down towards him before the camera spots you. Go up the steps straight ahead. As you turn right quickly hide under the camera. As it looks the other way go forward then make a left to a locked doorway. Place your code breaker on the panel then go inside when it unlocks. Walk down the ramp in the back right corner is a box with a green light on it. Push the white button it---this disables the security cameras. With the light now red, shoot the above window on and hop up inside the office. Shoot the communication box on the table. Go down the steps and place your code breaker on the panel to open the door. Collect the code breaker and go out. Go all of the way back down this long hallway. At the end make a right and under the camera, through the double doors. You're now in the crate room. In here is a guard or two. Kill them as you make your way to the opposite end of the room. Head through the double doors and out to the lift. Get on it then hit the switch to take it up. Crouch down behind its control panel as it goes up. If done correctly the lift across from you will blow up as it's supposed to and you won't take damage by the guard. Jump over the rail and onto the center beam slightly below. Jump on to the ladder and take it up to the next beam. Turn around and fall onto the beam. Walk over and step to the next floor. As you go through the double doors make a right and through the door that's hidden next to the pipes. Go around and up the steps. Come out then shoot all of the guards at the top and bottom. Once they're dead it's time to place a code breaker next to the double doors up here. If you don't have a code breaker there might be one on the shelves in the office nearby. Once the door unlocks, collect your code breaker and proceed through. Go around to the double doors, completing the scene. Body Armor Locations: - Storage room, next to a steel shelf - Floor of room with communication equipment - Crate room, behind third pile of crates - In room after getting off main lift, next to pipes Intelligence Item Locations: - In the first office, hiding under a code breaker - Storage room, on a steel shelf - Crate room, on first pile of crates - Crate room, next to thermos - Floor of room with communication equipment - On the table of office near the end Scene 2 ------- Take out the five guards any way you see fit. Just remember that one is in the tower in the back with a sniper rifle, so kill him first; then take out the rest. Now take the path on the right around. Kill the two guards talking to each other and a third guard will come running to you. Next equip your sniper rifle and pick each guard off in both towers (one is behind the tree). Follow the path around until you see a fence ahead. Strafe forward and to the right, then run towards the center to kill the guard on the ground level and one in the tower above. Take the right path now with a machine gun drawn. Passing over a puddle of water, head around and over the bridge. Follow around to see two guards walking together. Kill them as usual and keep going down. When you see the wooden bridge immediately stop. Peak around and shoot the two guys on the other side of it. Be quick as you can because one of them will shoot a rocket at you. In that case, strafe behind the wall to your right then peak back out to kill him. Now approach the bridge with caution even though they're dead. The discolored boards (e.g. green) will break off into the water. Carefully walk and jump to the other side. As you get over walk down a bit further to complete the scene. Body Armor Location: - At the foot of the wooden bridge, when you cross it Intelligence Item Locations: - At the beginning, behind crates on the left - On the plank resting over a puddle water Scene 3 ------- Follow the winding path around. When it comes to an open area, turn right then kill the three guards over here. Turn and head down the dirt road until you come to some Aztec buildings. Look down the center, between the two buildings, and shoot the soldier at the other end. This will draw four or five more out to you. Kill them as they come and when they stop coming enter this courtyard. Go up the steps on the right. Enter the doorway then kill the two guys on the left. Kill the third that rushes from behind the wall. Walk around this wall and through the second doorway on the left. Looking down you will see a stream of water. Walk down the broken rocks and along the stream. Go all the way down the stream until it lets out to a fairly larger moat. On the center left rock is three guards: take them out, starting with the one in the tower. Once they're dead, look for the big pipe in the upper left corner. Equip your belt buckle then point it at the target above. Pull yourself up to complete the scene. Body Armor Locations: - In the right building of the Aztec area - Between the two bunk beds, Aztec area Intelligence Item Locations: - On the bench, up the center area of the Aztec buildings - In the right building of the Aztec are, next to bottle of wine - Between the two bunk beds, Aztec area - On a bank of the moat area Scene 4 ------- Leaping over the barriers in the pipe, burn the lock off the hatch then climb down to the beam. Jump over to the lower ladder and all the way down. Drop off into the water and into either tunnel. They both lead to the same tunnel that drops off into some more water. Climb out to a blast pit area where you'll overhear a conversation via the loud speaker. Climb up the first ladder and then the second. Eventually the countdown starts, so work quickly. Equip your lighter's torch and burn off all of the locks. There are two on each support beam, 4 beams total, which means you have to burn off eight locks total. When you're done drop to the slanted wall and down into the water again for a cutscene. After the cutscene come out of the water and into the blast pit again. Climb up both ladders then jump through the window into the control both. Work your way past the fires and down the steps. Go down the narrow hall to take cover behind the desks on the right side of it. Shoot all of the guards straight ahead. Wait for more to come. Eventually you should have killed about ten or so guards. When they stop coming for a while pass the cafe area up and around the corner where they came from. Place the code breaker on the panel next to the door. (If you don't have a code breaker, go up the steps to your left and get it out of the office) Retrieve your code breaker and head up the steps to the next door to complete the scene. Body Armor Locations: - In the office where the code breaker is Intelligence Item Locations: - At the bottom of the second pool of water - On the table in the cafe area Scene 5 ------- //COMMENTARY This scene can be a nightmare if you can't figure out what to do. It boils down to a simple level that can be beaten in a small amount of time. In fact, as long as you don't get any intel' items, this is the shortest scene in the game (or at least one of them). The intel' items are off to the left side of the level---a side that is absolutely unnecessary to go to IF you're not getting them. But if you do by sneaking under that camera, then my list should give you an idea of where they're at. There are even some crates that you can jump onto that lead to an area far off from the rest of the level. //COMMENTARY If you sound the alarm you will fail the mission. Deep in your inventory is a spear gun. Equip it and shoot the guy near you that's by the crates. Crouch down and hide by the crates over to the left. When the guard on the other side comes towards you and past the crates, sneak around the corner to your right. Walk around and shoot the scientist. Go further down but stop before the corner and you will overhear two guards talking to each other. Back up to where you killed the scientist and hide behind an orange beam behind the doorway. One of the guards will eventually come to this area. Shoot him and follow back down the hallway and around the corner. Go through the open door; kill the two guards in here. Be careful to kill each without the other one seeing or the alarm will go off. After they're dead, go to the door opposite to the one you came in at to complete the scene. Body Armor Locations: - On a lower shelf in the box room Intelligence Item Locations: - On top the bench where the two scientists are talking - Beside the bench where the two scientists are talking - On a lower shelf in the box room - On a green crate where you jump atop the building Scene 6 ------- Like the previous scene, you will fail the mission if you're spotted. The beginning part of the level takes a bit of practice and carefulness to get right. So pay attention. With your spear gun equipped come up to the hallway at the top of the steps. Get on the left side of the hallway back towards the steps. But make sure you can see the scientists and whatnot. First shoot the guard walking on the path above (straight ahead) while he's stopped on the right side of your screen. With him dead, wait for the scientists to finish their conversation and the one on the right walks away. Once he does this, shoot the one on the left in the head. The other one will run back and to the alarm: kill him before he does this. Finally, kill the guard that's on the ground level in the back. If done correctly you can pass this semi-tricky part easily. On the right wall and near the alarm is a ladder: climb up and walk over into the office. Press the action button on the radio for a cutscene and new objective. Climb down and go up the small set of steps. Go around and down the hallway to some sort of launch control room. Stop and wait by the doorway and hide behind the barrels. When the two scientists finish their conversation one comes through the doorway and towards you. Kill him then turn inside to kill the guard, the other, and the other guard down below. Do this in a fashion so that one can't see another getting shot. Once disposed of, go through the path on the lower left side of this room. Hit the button to raise the door and walk inside. Turn and into the glass room. Shoot the astronaut to complete the scene. Body Armor Locations: - In the office across from the communication radio - The lower part of the launch room, on the floor Intelligence Item Locations: - In the office with the communication radio - On top of a panel in the launch room - On the bench where the astronaut is ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.11 ~ Low Earth Orbit ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scene 1 ------- Walk for and to the right, passing up the two guys talking to each other. Turn left and open the hatch by pressing the button on the right side. On this floor with yellow halls, go around to the right. Pass the hallway up that leads to the elevator. Down and to the left is a bar area. Go down and in, then up to the bar to grab the security pass. Walk out of the bar and back to the hallway where the elevator is. Call the elevator and take it up the purple "Periwinkle" floor. Take this around to the left and to the first door you see on your left. As you walk into this science lab area pass through the set of double doors straight ahead. Pick up the laser gun off of the table. Quickly turn around, open the doors and shoot the guy that rushes in. Head shot is an instant "kill". As you exit the labs go left and further around to a locked doorway. Put your pass card in, take it out for intel' item, then through the door to complete the scene. Intelligence Item Locations: - On yellow Goldenado floor, in the back room where boxes are. - In the science lab, next to the roll of cheese - Pass card (be sure to retrieve it from door) Scene 2 ------- You're floating! Zero gravity is fun. :) In the center of the room is a structure. Float through the gap and up towards the door on the ceiling in the center. Float through this psychedelic tube and into the last zero gravity room. Come through the hall and out to the red- ish "Raspberry" floor. Shoot the guy on the ramp, go up, and shoot the guy on the ledge above. Hit the button to take the lift up to this upper level. Grab the code breaker off of the panel across from the scientist up here. Go down the ramp and on each side is a doorway that leads to a command center (A and B). In each room, place your code breaker on the security panel that's on the wall. Once you're done this to both, come out to this center room to kill the two guys that appear. Now head back down to the last zero gravity room. Take it back down to the first one where you started the level. There are two hatches on the wall. One will be locked so go through the other one that opens. Float to the elevator to complete the scene. Intelligence Item Locations: - Floating around in the last zero gravity room Scene 3 ------- Walk forward then look around the control panel in front of you. Kill the guy in the room below. Now go in the door on your left. If you want to get some intel’ items, take the ladder below. Regardless, you need to go through the shutter door that's up here. Walk into the lab with the plants to wait for the two guards that bust in for you to kill. Go through the doorway that just came from. Go down this green hallway and as you come out kill the guy to your right. Go down the hallway by him and through the door. Shoot the guy that's across from you on the bridge. Cross the bridge and through the door on the other side. Follow the path around until you get a tunnel-like bridge where you can see the sky above. First turn around and back up over this bridge. It starts to blow up and a guy comes out the door you just come out. Shoot him as you're backing up over the bridge and once he's dead turn around and go over it normally. Hit the switch to open the door on the other side before the bridge blows up completely. Go through the hatch to complete the scene. Intelligence Item Locations: - On top of a crate at that beginning - On one of the swings of the swingset - Where the fluorescent lights are, next to the plants - In the lab next to the plant lab, on the table Scene 4 ------- You have five minutes to complete this scene. It's enough time but be quick and don't waste time. Go through the hatch, make a right, then a left, and go through the next hatch. A brief cutscene will play. Pass the escape pods and into the elevator straight ahead. Hit the button to take it down. Step off the elevator and walk straight down. Go around to the other side of this pink thing and grab the antidote that's in the center. Head back to the elevator. An explosion creamed the elevator so you're going to have to jump your way up. Use the beams on the walls. The best way to do it is to go in a circular motion while the pressing jump rapidly. It's not that hard, really. Once at the top jump through the doorway and go into the nearest escape pod. Intelligence Item Locations: - In the last escape pod on the right (get before getting on elevator) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.12 ~ Alpine Intrigue ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scene 1 ------- Walk forward and just past the red and white umbrella is a path to the right. Follow along this balcony area until you get to some steps where two guards are waiting below. Don't kill them just yet. Wait until baroness and her bodyguard passes these two guards up. When they're out of sight look down at the other two guards. Both will walk forward, with the one on the right walking under the balcony that you're on. The one on the left stops and a few seconds later the one on the right comes back up and stops. This is when you want to shoot them both with head shots as quickly as you can to avoid alerting anyone. If done correctly both guards will be dead. Walk down the steps to your right and through the doorway the baroness and her bodyguard went through. Walk around and through the next doorway outside. Alright, straight ahead you will see a lady on the left and wooden guardrails just past her. As the baroness and her bodyguard walk away from the guardrail and over to the right, jump over the guardrail and wait for the other two guards to pass. As they do, walk behind them and shoot both in the head. Next you'll want to go through the doorway the baroness just went through to complete the scene. Body Armor Locations: - Next to a blue car at the beginning (use the steps on the left) Intelligence Item Locations: - On the table behind at the start - In the building that has the wooden guardrails out front Scene 2 ------- Slowly walk around and out into the open with your weapon holstered. Look to the right and when the baroness and her bodyguard are out of site, creep beside the guard that's standing still and then punch him in the head. Continue trailing the baroness via the path down to the right of where you're facing. Follow through till you see a door on the left. Go inside and look out the window. Eventually the baroness will pass your window and the two guards standing by the telephone booth over to the left. Once her and her guard are long gone, shoot these two through the glass. Use the door to exit to where you killed these two guards. Pass the phone booth and go down into the open the door on the left to complete the scene. Intelligence Item Locations: - In the pub the first guard is standing in front of Scene 3 ------- At the start and as you turn the corner to the right, a guy will come out of the building. Equip your coin that's now in your inventory. From the start throw it straight ahead and just past the building. The guard near you should go check out and see what it was. As he gets near the coin shoot him in the head. Do this quickly and silently because if you trigger the alarm the mission is over. The guard that is furthest from you won't be alarmed if you do this right. Now pick up your coin and his Hampton, and then head inside the building nearest you. When you get inside go left and pick the silencer for your Hampton that's on the shelf. Equip the Hampton and open the door up to a sleeping area. Pass up the bunk beds and through the door on the opposite side of this room. Pass up the kitchen into another sleeping quarters. As you walk into this sleeping quarters to your right is an OPEN window. Jump out and go straight down by the orange crates. Hide between them and wait for the guard to come around the corner. As he passes you shoot him. Head around the corner that he came from and you will overhear two soldiers talking. When they finish their conversation and you hear the one walk through the door, sneak around this corner, under the camera, then shoot the lone guard in the back of the head. Don't worry---the camera won't see him since he's under it. //ROCKET LAUNCHER BRIEFCASE To get the rocket launcher disguised as a briefcase, go into this door behind the camera. Make a left through the door and go straight down. Make another left, pass the lab coats, and make another left. On the table you will see it. It's not necessary to get, though. Also, in the office adjacent to this room is a sleeping guard and maybe even an intel’ item on the desk and a body armor in the corner. //ROCKET LAUNCHER BRIEFCASE Don't go into the building unless you want the RL mentioned above. Instead, continue down this back path and around to a door that's at a dead end. Enter it and into a garage. With the blue car in front of you, pick up the code breaker off the table and head through the next door. In the garage is a guard. You can sneak behind him while he's behind the camera and kill him if you want. If not, don't let him see you. As you walk into this cargo area there's a door to your right that leads outside. Sneak out and behind these two guards. Shoot booth of them in the head. Duck down and stay behind the shed. Using the green things as cover, sneak around, and under the camera. Go inside to place the code breaker on the panel. (There may or may not be a guard by this panel). With this done, get your code breaker and backtrack to the beginning of the level. At the beginning again, as if you just started the level, you want to make a right and go up the sloped walkway (it's where the two guards were earlier). As you go down the path there's a camera in the top left corner. As it looks down the alley to the right sneak under it and through the gate that's now unlock. Hit the switch on the panel to open the purple doors. Go inside to complete the scene. Body Armor Locations: - Next to the shelf with the Hampton silencer - In the corner of the second sleeping quarters - In an office in the back, before the garage - Next to the panel where you override security lockdown Intelligence Item Locations: - On the desk where the guard is sleeping - In an office in the back, before the garage - On the panel where you shut override security lockdown Scene 4 ------- Walk out into the open. If the guard is out here, kill him. If not, you'll have to go up the steps in front of you and he'll be to your left. Go left and shoot the guy on the balcony straight ahead. If another soldier comes out, take care of him too. Turn left again and look through the arched doorway. Take out the two guys on the ground in front of you. Then any they come out on the balcony straight down. While looking through the archway go north to the other end and through the door on the right. Take the stairwell up. When you get to the top go through the door out to the wooden balcony. Go through the door on the left. There's three rooms connected to this hallway. Clear out the center and right rooms first, and then go to the one on the left. Kill the three soldiers in this room on the left. Head out through the window to a ledge. Walk along it to the awning then drop down. Run down the street and hide next to the wooden shed thing. When the single guard passes around the corner cap him from behind. Continue around this corner. You can sneak over to the vent or you can take out the guards first. Sounding the alarm doesn't do much. Once you open up the vent and drop below the scene will end. Body Armor Locations: - At the top of the stairwell - On a silver trunk in the right room with bunk beds - At the top of the left watch tower Scene 5 ------- Walk forward and the ice will break, you will drop into the water. Quickly swim forward and shoot off the lock. Swim across and slightly to the right to emerge through an opening. If you took a little bit of damage and didn't want to, restart the level and shoot the weak piece of ice midway through. Come up through this way. With an automatic equip, walk up the snowy hill and take it around. Eventually you will see a lone guard walking towards you. Kill him very quickly because he has a grenade launcher and will fire it at you if spotted. Pick up his GL and pass the red sign. Jump the gap to the ledge on the right. Quickly run across the ice bridge before it breaks. Go down and around until you get to more ice---only this time it's narrower and attached to a wall. Walk across the first second and then stop on the solid piece that's darker than the ice. Then hug the walk to the right and jump around to the ramp of snow. If done right you will get across safely and won't take damage from a fall. Continue around some more until you get to an open area. Go over or around the hill that's on your left. Approach the log cabin to complete the scene. Scene 6 ------- Open the wooden chest and get the scope for the AK-47 that's inside. Hop on the snowmobile, and with your back against the house, take the path to the left up the hill. Continue around this valley as it winds down and around. Jump the gap at full speed. Eventually you will turn right and see a wooden bridge with three soldiers on top. Get off of your snowmobile, back up close to the corner, and then pick them off with your scoped AK-47. Get back on the snowmobile and continue down---passing under the bridge. Follow through until you get to an open area with a bunch of trees. Kill the three soldiers in this area. Take the snowmobile to the path on your left and follow through. As the path turns right, leading down a hill, slow down then get off your snowmobile. Pick the three guards off that are in front of you down this hill. Don't get back on the snowmobile just yet. Continue down the hill and to the left. Kill these two guards before doing anything else. Now you can get back on your snowmobile. Follow through to the left U-turn. This path heads right past some slanted walls on your right. Continue through until you see a cabin up above across the canyon. Get off the snowmobile, pull out your AK-47, and then scope the guy to the left of the bend. Do this carefully since he has a rocket launcher. If he shoots one at you quickly dodge it by hiding behind the wall or tree. Take the shot whenever available. Go up to where you killed the guy with the RL. Walk up to the gate and get just close enough so that you can burn the lock off it. Do so, avoiding getting too close and being shocked. Once the lock is burned off open the gate for the level to end. Scene 7 ------- Hop onto the snowmobile and drive it up the left path. Take it up and around, over the bridge cautiously and slowly, then you will get to a right bend with a ledge on the left side. Get off of the snowmobile and pick the two guys off down the center. Get back on your snowmobile and continue straight down then turn left. After you turn, stop and shoot the two guys standing just before the right-hand turn. These two guys can really put a hurting on you. For cover, I suggest hiding behind the wall on the right-hand side of the left- hand turn. Once they're dead continue through were you'll be going down a hill as usual. Kill the guy on this hill that's to your right. Get on the snowmobile again and continue down. You will now approach an entrance to a minefield. To your left is a wooden gate and to your right is a ramped hill. Making it across this minefield is easier than you might think. The exit is directly across the wooden gate entrance. Equip your sunglasses and switch it to the mine detector function. Carefully work your way across the field, maneuvering around the mines. If don't notice it while going across, the left wall is mine-free. So if for some reason you want your snowmobile then hug this wall with it. Now that you're past the minefield, go down the mountain heading right. When you get to the left turn stop and look on top of this second wooden bridge. There are two guards at the ground level under this bridge. Kill the guy on the right from back here and wait behind the wall for the one on the left to come up (that's IF he's alerted). Next, kill the two guys on top of the bridge. Get back on your snowmobile (if you still have it) and continue down. Follow through and pass the fork in the road (either side, it doesn't matter). Keep going and you'll eventually get to where green and red crates are in a fenced in area on your left. Get off the snowmobile and take the higher path on the right, sneaking around. Jump on the stack of crates on the front right side of the fence. Kill these two guards that are having a conversation. Jump over the electric fence into and then proceed through the tunnels. Pass through this crate room into the next tunnel straight ahead. Go further down to kill this lone guard. Look down the tunnel and kill the next two. Go to where they are and board the lift to complete the scene. Body Armor Locations: - At the beginning of the level, in the wooden cabin - In the back of the pickup truck towards the end of the level Scene 8 ------- Turn left, and then go straight into the back room then kill the two soldiers in here. If more soldiers rush in, kill them. Head out of this room, making a right up the steps. Kill the guards above and below. Watch for grenades being tossed after the ladder is pulled up. Head back down, make a right to the start point. From here kill as many guards as you can, while taking cover behind the wall. Once the across enemies are dead head out, kill any remaining ground-level guards, and the two in the towers. Go up on top the platform, pull the level, and then board the gondola cart. As it takes you up the scene will be completed. Body Armor Locations: - Up the steps, across from the yellow ladder ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.13 ~ The Indomitable Cate Archer ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scene 1 ------- Walk across the beams to the platform. Wait for the guard to enter the room below and shoot him. From up hear go through the doorway and down the spiral staircase to a lounge area with a fireplace. Make a left and come out to the lower part of the lift area. Go around the big gear and through the door. Go up the steps and to a control room. Quickly kill the two guards in here then go into the room of to the left that has bright lamp on a table. Climb up the ladder and open the gate as you get to the top, and climb up. In the corner is a broken wall that leads to a crawl space. Crouch down and then take this path to an awning outside. Jump across the gap to the other awning, go up the slope, and climb through the window. Hop down into the gated box area that's locked off. Shoot or pick the lock off. Go around to the left and take the first right you see where the books are. Turn and kill the worker by the electric control panel. Pull the lever on the panel to restore the lift. Walk off the ledge to your right, get on the lift nearby, and then hit the switch to take it up and complete the scene. Body Armor Locations: - Next to the boots in the lounge area Intelligence Item Locations: - On the beam at the start - On the shelf upstairs - Between the boots in the lounge area - In the bathroom just off the lounge, on the toilet - Just as you enter the crawl space, on the ground - On a crate in the gate box area that's locked - On a crate in the gate box area that's NOT locked Scene 2 ------- Walk forward past the bookshelves and down the steps. Turn right and walk down into the open to complete this extremely short scene in the game. Scene 3 ------- (a.k.a. "Nine Years Ago... Scene 3") Go through the door in front of you and sneak to the right without alerting the man by the fireplace, and through the door. Climb the green ladder and then use your lock-pick to pick the lock at the top. Open the shutter, come up, and jump through the window that's up here. When you drop down you'll see two ports to your left. Open the one on the left. Now walk out onto the ledge and work your way through the small hole on the right side. Don't let the security guard below see you. Run down to the other end, walk out onto the slat, and then drop to the board leaning against the wall below you. Go through the door on the right once you have dropped down. Come out to a cubed room with a square red carpet in the middle. Go straight then make a right and down the arched hallway. When you get around you'll come to a confined area with a patch of grass. The door on the left has a padlock on it: pick that and then go inside. Behind the desk is a yellowish piece of paper. Pick it up and you'll witness a phenomenal event happen. Use the stack of books to jump onto the windowsill. Hit the wood to break it off the window. When you drop down go right, go around and up the steps. Walk up the board and break the wood to go through the window up here. Drop down then go down the steps. At the bottom open the control panel. Slide the switch over now go over to the door and pull the switch down to raise the bars. Make a right and then pull this next switch down to raise these bars. Once inside you will notice a sleeping guard to your left. Don't disturb him. Make a right then go down and hit the switch to enter the room with the diamond. Go behind the podium that the diamond is on. Hit the semi-hidden switch that's on the back of it and a panel will raise. Equip your safe cracker and then place it on the panel. When it stops, get your safe cracker, lift the casing, and grab the diamond. Now look at the spot where the diamond was then press the action button. This will put a fake diamond in its place. Pull the casing back down over the fake diamond and wait for something "magical" happen to the wall. When an opening is formed go through it and down to complete the mission. Intelligence Item Locations: - On a bench near where you pick the piece of paper up (go straight) Scene 4 ------- //PROVOKING ARMSTRONG Keep picking the SECOND answer and you'll surely provoke him enough to get him to fight you. If you keep choosing the first answer you will fail the mission. Remember when he said that he didn't care if you talked about his mannerisms or hygiene, but not his manhood? Well, that proves true here. //PROVOKING ARMSTRONG Fighting and beating Armstrong is fairly easy. He has a few basic attacks: 1) The ground punch. To avoid get out of his line of sight and jump at the same time. 2) The grenade toss. This one is very strong so quickly run behind him or to the side and jump as well. Most of the fight consists of hand-to-hand combat. Move in, punch him, and then move back out. Repeat this until he is exhausted to complete the scene. Intelligence Item Locations: - In the room off to the right, on the bed Scene 5 ------- Go straight and just before you turn left pick up the coin that's on the ground. Now turn left and go left of the stain glass windows. Outside of the open window is a spotlight. Go out onto the ledge, jump to the windowsill on your right, and then across to the other one and go inside. If the guard nearby is alarmed duck down and hide behind the box until he turns around again. Sneak up behind then strike him in the back of the head to knock him out. Pick up your things off of the table. Open the gate in here by sliding the wooden lock back. Come out, make a U-turn left to shoot the guy in the head. There's another guard nearby (check by the ladder or towards the start point). Once they're both dead and before you go down the ladder, I want you to do something. Look out the first of two windows near where you did the U-turn and killed the one guard. Look out this window and to the far right you should see a spotlight in the distance. Shoot it out. Next, if you see the guard up here, lock onto him then shoot until he's dead. If you can't see the guard, don't worry about it. At least get the spotlight. Go down the ladder that leads to a fenced area. Climb under the fence where the water is. Turn left and go up the steps past the crates. Open the door, turn left and kill the two guards. If you didn't get the spotlight or guard up above earlier, do so now. Equip your torch then burn the lock off the door. Go down and inside. In front of you will be some steps leading up and to your right will be a wine cellar. Go to the pile of wood that's to the right of the wine holder. Notice the piece of wood that's sticking out? Well, look at it then hit the action button to reveal a hidden lift. Walk on it to complete the scene. Body Armor Locations: - In the room where you get your things back - Across from where you go down the ladder, in front of crate - After climbing down ladder, on other side of fence by crates Intelligence Item Locations: - Across from where you go down the ladder, on the crate Scene 6 ------- You have 10 minutes until you're toast. That's plenty of time to beat this level, so don't worry. Quickly step off the elevator with your silenced pistol equipped. Go to the right behind the orange crates. On the right side of them shoot the guard straight ahead that's over by the steps. Now dash across to where his body is and go up the steps (if done right the guards and camera on the left won't see you). If you want the other two guards dead, while up here cap them when they're out of the camera's site. Either way, go all the way around following the yellow railing. Pass behind the elevator and up to a hallway. Make a sharp left and kill the two guys having lunch at the table. Go down the ladder. Go through the door and take the hallway all the way around to a room with a control panel on the left. As you step inside the doors shut and gas will flow in. Equip your belt buckle and hoist yourself up by using one of the two panels on the ceiling. Once up, go through the door, look down and shoot the two guards. Go down the ladder then look for the switch on the right side of the control panel. Pull it down and the gas will clear out, completing the scene. Body Armor Locations: - In the locker at the bottom of the ladder - Next to the panel/switch that clears out the gas Scene 7 ------- By default you have 2 minutes before you die. You have to get to the antidote and proceed with the mission. Work fast and efficiently so that you don't have to backtrack. Turn around and go down the hall and you will see two guards standing by a door. Kill them and continue around the hallway. When you get to the end you will see steps going up to your right. Go up them and around. Take the platform into the central room. As you get on the catwalk above the room below, take the path to the right. Hit the red button on the panel and head back out of this room. As you come out go down on either side of the glass tube. Wait for a cart to slide inside then hit the switch (one on each side) to open it up. Collect the antidote and the timer will go away (you're safe). From where the steps are, go back down the baby blue hallway to where steps lead up into a crate room. Kill any guards you see in this room then head into the connected room on the left. Pick or shoot the lock off of the hatch and then go down. Turn around and make a left. Go down to the door to complete the scene. Body Armor Locations: - In the crate room, on the right and behind some crates - In the second crate room, across from the hatch Scene 8 ------- Make the first left and into a room with two guys. Kill them and proceed through the doorway that's on the right. Come through the door and out to a catwalk with a guard above straight ahead. Don't kill him just yet. Go across the catwalk and around to the right to kill the guard by the door. Continue through the door. Bypassing the steps, go around and into the back room. Kill the two soldiers and anyone else that may come in. Continue around (there's a doorway in this room) and up the steps to the top part that's above the catwalk. Cross to the other side, past the bullet train, and up the steps. Kill the few guards up here. Go straight ahead and through the door. Walk down and head through the door to be in a hallway that curves left. Head all the way around and the door at the end will open automatically. Go through again and you'll be in a hideout. Walk down and approach the bridge. As you cross it a sign comes out and blocks your path. Quickly jump off into the water and a shark will come towards you from the right. Dodge the shark and swim through the hole under the rock. Swim over to the metal platform and jump up. Walk up the steps and towards the door to complete the scene. Body Armor Locations: - After crossing the long catwalk, go up the steps - In the tower overlooking the bullet train Intelligence Item Locations: - Turn left at the beginning, on a crate - On top some crates across from the bullet train - In between a table and chair in the hideout Scene 9 ------- Head around the hallway and over the narrow platform that connects the two walkways (be careful not to fall off). Make a left, open the door, and cap the two guys inside this cafeteria area. Go down to the right. If you wait by this next door you will hear a conversation. After it's over open the door up for a hilarious surprise. Kill this guy and go further down to the right. Kill the two guards down here and then take the red elevator up. Step off, come around, and pull the handle that's disguised as a beer tap on the bar. This reveals some world domination stuff and a secret doorway at the bottom. Go through this doorway. Head all the way around the hall and over the glass-encased walkway. Kill the two guards standing near the office door. Go inside. On the right arm of the chair is a remote. Activate it to reveal a safe across from it. Place your code breaker on the panel and retrieve the code breaker then the contents of the safe for a cutscene. After the cutscene kill the guards that rush into the room. Go through the other (unopened) door. As the helicopter gets so high you will complete the scene. Body Armor Locations: - Below the bar area in baroness' lair Intelligence Item Locations: - On a cafeteria table - On the shelf in the room where the guy is talking to his companion ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.14 ~ A Very Large Explosion ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scene 1 ------- This is a cutscene. Scene 2 ------- From the start, immediately kill the two guards coming through the doorway on your left. Equip a machine gun and go through this doorway out to dining room. Strafe to the right and shoot the guards that are hiding behind the flipped table. Turn further left and kill the guy up on the balcony. Below the balcony is a door. Point your gun at this door and shoot through it when you get the lock-on. When the guy on the other side drops head through the vent to the right of this door. Work your way around to the left and through the next vent. Open the double doors to emerge in the lobby area where you will have a mini- boss fight. She is to the northwest as you walk into the lobby, on the balcony above. She's pretty tough and wields a sniper rifle and will grenade you if she gets you cornered. What I do is strafe out and then fire at her with the sniper rifle. When she starts moving (towards the left) I hide next to the stairs for a second or two. As she's coming down the stairs I emerge towards the center of the room with my AK-47 equipped and I fire at her. If you get lucky she will take cover behind a pillar. This is a good sign since she's now at your mercy. If she does this get on the stairs and fire at her until she's dead. Head up the stairs and make a left at the split. At the top, go straight and to where it turns to the right. There will be a locked door and next to this is a hidden wall that leads to some ammo and even the Easter egg, the fire extinguisher. Head back out but stay on this left side. Go along the balcony to the locked door. Shoot through it and kill any guards that you can. This will prove useful later on. Now go over to the right side balcony. Around the corner is a slanted picture of a lady. Look at it then hit the action button to reveal a hidden area. As you enter, go left, open the vent, and retrieve the corrector that's on the balcony. Go back into the hidden passage and follow it around to a brown door. Open it up to kill the two guards you will spot in this bedroom. Hit the switch that's hidden under the fireplace and then kill the two guards in this second bedroom. On the left side of the bed is a hidden panel. Look at it and hit action to reveal yet another hidden passage. Pass through and hit the switch on your left to open the door on your right. You're now in the library area. If you see guards straight ahead, kill them. But if you shot through the door earlier they should be dead. On top the bed's canopy is some ammo. Head through the door at the other end. As you come through you should see a gate to your right and a shaft below. Pull the switch that's on the wall to bring the elevator up. Open the gate and take the lift down by pulling the same switch again. Proceed through to meet up with your contact to complete the scene. Body Armor Locations: - Next to the lit fireplace - At the bottom of the big lobby, across from the stairs - At the top of the big lobby, on the right balcony - On the balcony before going down elevator shaft Scene 3 ------- Strafe to the right and then approach the door. As the door opens the UNITY agent must be killed. Kill the soldiers as they rush inside. Head outside, going down the pathway to the left. Before going up the small case of steps equip your sniper rifle and pick off the guy above by the spotlight. He has a RL or GL and will do some serious damage to you. Once he's dead finish off the other two guards below him. If anyone rushes out of the gate at the far right end be prepared for them. Head down and in front of the big building. To the right is a gate. Open it up by activating the panel. Proceed forward and open the brown shutter door to see a guard hiding behind some boxes. From here kill him and then look into the room on your left then kill this other guy. Equip your AK-47, go around and open the door. Back up and jump on the lower wooden boxes and wait for another mini-boss lady to run in. Since you have the height advantage rapidly shoot her in the head with your assault rifle. With her dead go outside to through the door she came from. Shoot and kill the other lady across the way. Pick up their weapons and head up to where you killed the second lady who was on the balcony. You can do this by jumping on the boxes over to the left and walking across the beam onto the overhang. Walk along this overhang and over to the right. Walk down into the doorway with the debris to complete the scene. Body Armor Locations: - Around and to the right after going through first door - Where the two ladies are, next to some crates - Where the second lady is, on a balcony Scene 4 ------- Shoot the two guards out here on the dock. Hit the switch on the panel then hop on the gondola to take it down. When you get further down the hill your objectives are updated. Now you have to fend off the helicopters for a while. Don't worry, it's not that long (maybe 3 minutes) and if done right you can pass this part with taking minimal damage. Four helicopters come (I believe). Three from the right and one from the back. They don't all come at once. Your best bet is to duck down and hide in the front of the car since you don't want to fall out the back. Ducking down greatly reduces your chances of getting shot. And even if don't take the helicopters down you will still pass the mission after a period of time. Shoot the front of them to damage them easily. After they start smoking shoot some more to blow them up. It's simple really. After they're out of sight and/or the time has run out you will complete the scene. Body Armor Locations: - Dock area, next to the panel Scene 5 ------- Use your grapple to get across to the tower (notice the two grapple points on it). Approach the ladder for a cutscene. Your things are gone and you need a weapon to fight Volkov. Go to the right and drop down. From here go right and climb the rock (no, you're not going back). Run across and out on the ledge to grab a revolver and some body armor. Use the pillar nearby as cover. Fire across at Volkov, taking cover as he fires back. The best times to get him is when he's on the move, not firing at you. Getting in a straight line with him often ensures a hit. When his meter is depleted he will run away and you will have completed the scene. Body Armor Locations: - On the ledge where you retrieve your stuff ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.15 ~ Such is the Nature of Revenge ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scene 1 ------- This is a cutscene. Scene 2 ------- Shoot and kill the baroness for a brief cutscene. Now you have less than a minute to go around the town and alerting the civilians. First pick up the ammo in the doorway next to the phone booth. Follow down the path and alert all of the civilians to get inside by walking up to them and quickly hitting the action button. Once they run away continue down. There are two guards in the first area and one in the second. The second area is accessed by opening the brown shutter door. Once all of the civilians are alerted a cutscene will play and you'll complete the scene. Scene 3 ------- This is a cutscene. Scene 4 ------- As with most other bosses, the simple objective is to kill them. Fire at your enemy until they're no more. A good spot to go to is the big tomb over to the left. Jump up on the ledge of it and use this to your advantage. Keep shooting your opponent in the head until they're dead, all the while running around the tomb for cover. If you're low on health/armor take note of the body armor locations. Once your opponent's health has depleted you will complete the scene... and even the game. Congratulations. A: Yes. But I doubt that anything is unlocked since it’s an "award" and not a "reward". You can prove me wrong, but I’ve gotten these and nothing was unlocked. Q: Why didn’t you cover more in-depth stuff like the weapons and gadgets? A: Maybe I will one day. But for now I didn’t see the need since most of it is covered VERY well in the game’s manual. If you don’t have the manual I suggest checking for it on an auction site such as eBay. It’s very comprehensive and well-done for a game manual. Q: How are the vehicles – are they cool to drive? A: They’re okay. They’re not really exciting to drive and the wheelie on the motorcycle leaves much to be desired. Q: Is there any cool hidden stuff? A: Sort of. The manual talks about some of the stuff but you get nothing for finding them. Check the easter egg section for more info. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.20 ~ Gameplay Tips ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sniping: When you snipe you can get better accuracy while in crouch mode. While doing so your gun will steady allowing your movement to be slower. Try for yourself and you'll notice a difference. Replying to People: Usually, being nice to people in conversations will get you new intelligence info. While basically worthless it's still neat to get this stuff. So whenever you answer people, try using the more proper, respectful answer no matter how hard you might not want to. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.30 ~ Tricks ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Computer with an attitude: After the cutscene in 'The Assignment' turn around and go up to the door with the scientist in the room. In a female's voice it will say "access prohibited". Back up and go up to again for a new message. Keep repeating for some funny messages. 2. Cate Archer: The Thug (Nine Years Ago, Scene 2): On the first Nine Years Ago... mission (after Unexpected Turbulence, Scene 1) there are cops (or bobbies) patrolling the streets. If you're caught by one you fail the mission. However, it is possible sneak up on them and knock them out. When you do this you fail the mission with a message that reads "You're a thief, not a thug. You're going to jail for assaulting an officer." 3. You're Not Supposed To Be There (A Tenuous Lead, Scene 2): This is a very cool trick/glitch that I discovered while screwing around in the level. At the start of the level (next to the clock) to the right is a window up above. First, kill the guy in the locker room so he doesn't bother you while doing this. Next, shoot the window out and jump up onto the wooden rail (you'll have to squeeze in). Strafe against the right beam, then run forward and jump towards the window. If timed correctly you'll catch the window and drop out. You can tell that that this area wasn't meant for you to be at because stuff is missing. 4. Getting Atop the Train (Rescue Attempt, Scene 2): Jump onto the grayish rail of the train. Look towards the backside and jump forward to the window. Quickly jump up and to the top of it. You can even jump onto the power lines from up here. 5. Getting Onto Train & Tracks (Rescue Attempt, Scene 1): This is an awesome trick a learned while screwing around towards the end of the level. First unlock the caboose door. Go out to the caboose and then jump on one of its two rails facing the train car. While on the rail, turn around and jump up on the ledge above the train car's doorway. Then turn and jump on the caboose or train. To further the trick and get on the train tracks do the following: while on the caboose crouch down and go to the edge and walk as if you're going to the back of the caboose. If done right you should be able to get to the tracks in the back. Be warned: if you walk up towards the train while on the tracks you will die. 6. A Different Way Into Night Club: I'm at the "Sneak into the nightclub" scene and I'm trying to climb in the window and the guys keep shooting at me. When I get in I fail because my cover is blown. I figured the window was a red herring type of thing so instead, I climb into the dumpster, jump over the rail and duck in the front door. It worked! But it was weird. There were people and a few rooms. I could talk to the people but the rooms were empty and dead-ends. There was even an ashtray with no table under it so the smoke was hovering about 3 feet above the ashtray. I go over to the room behind the window and a cinema cuts in and the nightclub loads properly... --Submitted by R i c k ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.40 ~ Glitches ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Never-ending fall down steps: In Rendezvous in Hamburg, Scene 4 kill the guy that comes up the part where you see steps (the beginning). As soon as you kill him and he starts falling down the steps, pause the game. You will now hear this falling sound over and over. You could say it's a glitch, I guess. Also, I've later discovered that this trick/glitch can be see at other parts in the game where guards fall down the steps. 2. Footprints in mid-air: On Alpine Intrigue, Scene 5 make your way through the level and to where the ice bridges collapse. Run across the bridge and to the other side before it collapses. Once on the other side look to where the bridge used to be. You will see your footprints in mid-air. They slowly disappear after a while. 3. Rain hits mid-air: On A Tenuous Lead, Scene 1 go to the end of the level and into the second building in the level next to the exit. You'll be an office area. Jump up and open the sky roof on the ceiling. When it opens up you can see ran hitting where the glass is supposed to be but is not. A small bug, but nonetheless, a bug. 4. Massive slowdown: On Rescue Attempt, Scene 5; work you way to any of the two bathrooms. Shoot into the toilet once and you will get a big-time slowdown in the game. Shoot in again? No slowdown at all. Weird. 5. Wagon's a door: Also on Rescue Attempt, Scene 5 there is a wagon-like cart (with a handle on it). On it is an intel' item. If you look at the edge of this cart your icon should pop up. Fire Extinguisher On A Very Large Explosion, Scene 2 work your way to the big lobby with the large staircase. After you kill the lady head up the stairs and make a left at the split. At the top, go straight and to where it turns to the right. There will be a locked door and next to this is a hidden wall that leads to some ammo and even the Easter egg, the fire extinguisher. Purpose: reduce phosphorus damage.
