Introduction, Revision History =============================================================================== Introduction to Eres Stones and this guide ------------ For Crystal erens to cast spells, they will need Eres scrolls that are gained at certain levels and Eres stones that needed to be harvest from enemies throughout the game. It is easy to lack important spells at the really crucial moment, so this guide is to help you pin-point where the eres stones are located. The Eres stones are organised in their family classes. I have decided to split the guide into 2. One for the Story chapters (Chapter 1-7), and the other for Character Quests, since the enemy locations changed totally once you complete Chapter 7. You may notice that the Human class is missing, but since they don't drop any eres stones, they are not included. Automaton, Fiend family classes that exist only in Character Quests will not be found here too. Revision History ---------------- Version 1.1 - March 1, 2006 Edited mistakes, spellings and some blanks Version 1.0 - February 25, 2006- Completed the Story list. Still working on Character Quests. =============================================================================== II. Eres Stone Location =============================================================================== Note: For location found, you will notice a bracket with a number. That's the number of stones the enemy type will drop in that certain location. The harder the enemy, the more stones they drop. Locations are also classfied under two type: Worldmap and Dungeon. 'Dungeon' classfication is pretty self explanatory, but under worldmap, I'm referring that the enemies are near the dungeon, on the WORLDMAP. Bridge, Mirage Palace and Wings of Light are huge dungeons and are split into 3 sectors, each infested with different family classes. You will understand where are the various levels once you reach the dungeon since the sectors are distinctively different and usually marked by a boss. ^_~ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= 2.1 Hopper Description: It's an insect-like thing that hops around, hence hopper. Frequently Asked Questions =============================================================================== Q: I have arrived to the location, found the enemy, but they just won't drop the Eres stones! Why? A: It is rumoured that the faster you kill the enemy, the higher chance of them dropping the stones. While I was writing this FAQ, I realise that if you keep your combos relatively high, they drop eres stones very frequently too. Q: I have reached Chapter 7, and I couldn't find the particular monster type anywhere. Where are they? A: Automaton, Fiends only appear during Character Quests. So you can't learn it till you finish the main quest. =============================================================================== IV. General Strategy =============================================================================== 1. Don't rush through the Worldmap. Do try to hang around in the worldmap to fight some battles to collect some eres stones. They may not be critical at the moment, but then collecting them early saves you time from returning and running around looking for monsters. So don't just rush in to the next destination. My suggestion is that once you open the duct near to your destination, hang back and fight. You can always go back to heal at Werites Bacon. There are certain monsters like Eggbear cubs that only appear near Ruins of Frozen Light. 2. Combos, Combos, Combos. So you have you found the monster type you want, but they appear only once in every 3 battles, and little in terms of number and to add on, they doesn't seem to drop their type of eres stones at all. I realise that if you could kill an enemy in a combo, they tend to drop eres stones a lot more frequently. Another solution is to kill them quickly, but this won't be possible unless you power level or you return to the dungeon later on. So keep those combos going. (Chloe is a good combo partner.) =============================================================================== V.
