Introduction II. Combination (Gattai) Attacks III. Upgrade Bonuses IV. Secret Units V. Secret Weapons VI. Underhanded Tactics VII. Administrivia ===================== = I. Introduction = ===================== Short and to the point; this guide is intended to catalog anything non-obvious in SRWMX, from the point of view of the non-Japanese player. My translations and understandings of how things work are bound to be flawed, so please don't hesitate to correct me using the address at the bottom of this guide. Sending along new information would also be very nice. Version 1.1 Changes: * Gattai - Removed Double Haken Storm; thanks to RokkumanRaito * Units - Added MP and Black Great; thanks to everyone on the SRWMX board ===================================== = II. Secret Units = ===================== Dijeh SE-R ---------- The Dijeh SE-R is a variation model from Amuro's unit in Z Gundam. To obtain it, have the Gundam ZZ team (Judo, Reccoa, Mondo, Elle, Puru, PuruTsuu, Beecha, and Ino) have an average level of 25 before the beginning of chapter 23. Mass-Produced Great Mazinger ---------------------------- In Chapter 38 (when playing in order from top to bottom), if Boss is sortied, he will make a short speech. After this, if Boss makes the killing blow to an MP Great, it will be warped away and added to your arsenal after the intermission. Black Great ----------- There is still debate on the exact method required to obtain the Black Great Mazinger robot, but it's believed now that Tetsuya (the regular pilot of Great) must have more than 50 kills by the end of Chapter 45. Obtaining the MP Great first may or may not have something to do with this; there are still widely varying reports. ====================== = V. Secret Weapons = ====================== Z Gundam: Waverider Assault --------------------------- The Z Gundam gains this attack simply by having Kamille pilot it. ============================ = VI. Underhanded Tactics = ============================ Repair/Resupply --------------- Units that can repair or resupply others gain experience for each of these activities. Given that units will use up energy each turn while airborne, they can be resupplied indefinitely, and if a solitary enemy with a low attack power is left on the map, it can be "used" to constantly drain a unit's HP, which can then be repaired right back. The same thing can be done with MAP attacks, which, unlike Alpha 2, can be used regardless of whether or not there are enemy units within range. As there are no penalties for taking massive amounts of turns on a map, it's possible to upgrade pilots in these kinds of units to level 99 on the first map they appear. (NOTE: Some players have reported bugs with a Level 99 Vega returning to Level 1, so be forewarned!) Game Over --------- After getting a "Game Over" in any chapter, the chapter will restart from the beginning, but carrying over all experience and money gained over the course of the chapter. This can be repeated indefinitely to power up needed units as much as possible. ====================== = VII. Administrivia = ====================== Most of the information in this guide I didn't find myself; instead, it's been compiled from other sources, in order to give non-Japanese-reading players a chance to find and do more in the game.
