Name's Josh, and this is my first FAQ that I've been brave enough to actually submit to the chocolatey wonderland that is GameFAQs. I decided to write this due to the fact that the only FAQ for Space Channel 5 Part 2 (let alone the whole Special Edition package that was released much to my delight) was based primarily on the Japanese release, which didn't help much considering the differences in that and the recently released North American version. Therefore, here we are. Just a couple of warnings: - This FAQ contains many, MANY spoilers. If you don't want the big plot points spoiled for you, tread no further, my weary friends. - Unless otherwise noted, all the stuff in this FAQ came from either my memory (or lack thereof... :p) or glancing at the game, which I happen to own. If you have any suggestions/hints/tips/recipes, shuffle on over to your e-mail and send 'em over my way. You will be given credit, I assure you. :) - If I made a mistake/faux pas/SNAFU, please tell me in the form of the aforementioned electronic mail. So, without further ado... =========================== B. Space Channel 5 =========================== 1. Story It seems that aliens named Morolians are forcing people to dance. For a lot of them, you'll have to look at several peoples' Profiles, and you will be told which ones to look at. Example: For the Lantern, you have to talk to Neo- Japanese Astronaut 5, then 4, then 3, then 2, then 1, then 5 again. 1. Ulala Mike - Available from start 2. King of Fry Pan - Present from Chef (Green). 3. Ice Cream - Designed by Noize. 4. Legendary Eggbeater - Present from Chef (Aqua). 5. Lollipop - Present from the Band Students. 6. Lantern - Given by a Neo-Japanese Astronaut. 7. Super Ladle - Present from Chef (Yellow). 8. Big Mug - Present from the Rescue Squad. (That's what the game says, but I'm fairly certain you get it from Boozer. I could be wrong, though...) 9. Folding Fan - Present from Chairman (Mr.) Nervous. 10. Crimson Rose - Present from Jaguar. 11. Ear of Corn - Designed by Noize. 12. Green Onion - Present from Pine. 6. Codes/Secrets CPU Control To have the game play for you, during gameplay, hold L1+R1, and press O, Triangle, and Square. You should hear Ulala moan to confirm that the code worked. NOTE: Yes, the code will get all the hidden rhythm points for you, you lazy no-goodnik. :/ Smiles on the Profiles I just kinda stumbled upon this one on accident. If you're on someone's Character Profile, press O and they'll smile. Press again and they'll go back to their original expression. Neat, huh? :D 7. Hidden Rhythm Points In each level, there are certain points you can acquire that aren't part of the regular battles. Some are pretty obvious (the "WHOO!"'s after you rescue someone) and some are just damn hard to do (when Ulala says "Staaaaaay Tuned."). I will list them all, and hopefully be able to help you pinpoint their locations. Oh yeah, hit the hidden points by pressing X at the appropriate times. Der. Report 1 ======== 1-2: At the very start of the level, when Ulala strikes the pose, she makes three motions. On the last 2 motions you'll want to hit X. 3: On the "WHOO!" after you rescue the rich couple 4: On the "WHOO!" after you rescue the people in the part directly following the rich couple 5: On the "WHOO!" after saving the Space Guide 6: When Ulala says "Staaaaaaay Tuned", try to press X right when the "Staaaaaaay" ends 7: When Ulala says "Spaaaace Channel 5!", press X right at the Sp in "Spaaaace" Report 2 ======== 1-2: The same pose parts as the beginning of Report 1 3: On the "WHOO!" after saving the Space Primary Schoolers 4: On the "WHOO!" after saving Mr. Nervous 5: When Ulala says "Staaaaay Tuned", hit X near the end of "Staaaaay" 6: When Pudding says "It's me, Pudding" hit X at the "It's" 7: On the "WHOO!" after saving the Birdmistress 8: When Ulala says "Staaaaay" (she doesn't say Tuned), there's a chirp right after it, hit that 9: When Ulala says "What's that?", hit X on the "What" 10: After the boss' 2nd form passes out, wait a second and then hit X (it's hard to explain, but that's the best way I could say it) Report 3 ======== 1: When Pudding says "It's mine!" hit X at the end of "mine" 2: When Pudding waves right after that, hit X 3-6: When Pine sings before her battle, Sexy 1 & 2 will sing with her. On the beat right before they say their parts, hit X. 7: When Ulala and Noize strike a pose right before the Pine battle, hit X 8: On the "WHOO!" part right after beating Pine 9: When Ulala says "Staaaay Tuned", hit X right when she says "Tuned" Report 4 ======== 1: On the "WHOO!" after rescuing the Space Rescue Squad 2-6: When Ulala and the Space Rescue Squad glide down, every time "Hrk!" appears onscreen, hit X. 5 different notes. (You have to rescue all of the Space Rescue Squad in order to be able to get all the notes) 7: When Ulala says "Stay Tuned", hit X right after she says it 8: On the "WHOO!" after you save the Space Cheerleaders 9-32: Right after that last note, the Space Cheerleaders will start cheering to the beat. You'll have to hit X on every beat in order to get them all. 23 different notes (You'll have to save ALL the cheerleaders in order to get all the notes. If they're not saying "O-D-E-N" then you didn't get them all) 33: On the "WHOO!" part after saving Space Michael Report 5 ======== 1: When Ulala says "Staaaay" and Pudding says "Tuned", hit X right when Pudding says "Tuned" 2-5: When the battle of the bands starts, all of your team will strike poses. Hit X on the beat right before the next person pops up. For example, follow this beat when Space Michael strikes his pose: WHOO!, 2, 3, 4. Hit X on the 4. Get it? You'll have to do that for all your teammates' poses. 4 different notes 6: On the "WHOO!" after you rescue Jaguar Report 6 ======== 1-2: On the poses, just like the beginnings of Report 1 & 2 3: After the clapping part, when Ulala says "How can I lose....at dancing?", hit X right after "lose".
