Who I Be:

It's me, dear game fanatics, the Head of the Crooked Party.
Seeing as how everyone loved my God of War summary, the 
Crooked One is back with the game script for Resident Evil 4.
Hope you enjoy!

-The Players-

Leon Scott Kennedy: The hero of the Resident Evil 4. After 
surviving Raccoon City's zombie block party along with Claire 
Redfield, the younger sister of S.T.A.R.S. member Chris Redfield 
and Sherry (or Sherri) Birkin, daughter of leading Umbrella 
researchers William and Annette Birkin, Leon joins up with the 
federal government. In six years following Raccoon's nuclear 
destruction, Leon has become a top-notch agent and has been 
recently assigned to President Graham's Secret Service. Leon's 
first assignment is to rescue President Graham's daughter, 
Ashley.

Ashley Graham: The first daughter of President Graham, and the
game's damsel in distress. Ashley was kidnapped while on vacation 
from college and Leon is sent in to rescue her and bring her back 
to her father. 

Ingrid Hunningan: Leon's backup and support. She's the Resident 
Evil 4 version of Mei Ling.

Luis Sera: Resident Evil 4's answer to Nemesis' Carlos Oliveira.
He claims to be a former cop, but in truth, he was a researcher 
for Los Illuminados who is also working for Ada Wong and Albert 
Wesker.

Bittores Mendes: The village chief, or as Luis calls him, the 
'big cheese.' Standing over seven feet tall and strong as Mr. X, 
Mendes controls the villagers and basically kicks Leon's ass all 
over the place until their boss battle.

Ramon Salazar: Eighth castellan of the Salazar family. Although 
he looks old, he is actually Ashley's age (20 years old). He was
manipulated into releasing Las Plagas by Osmund Saddler, setting 
the events in motion for RE4.

Ada Wong: Leon's old flame from Resident Evil 2. Thought to have
died in Raccoon City, Ada was saved by renegade Umbrella operative 
Albert Wesker and now works for him. She is in town to retrieve a 
sample of Las Plagas for Wesker.

Jack Krauser: A former training buddy of Leon Kennedy's Krauser 
is thought to have died in a freak helicopter accident. Thing is, 
he faked his death and joined up with Wesker. He dislikes Ada and 
is very deadly with a knife. In truth, he is working for Wesker.

Osmund Saddler: The head honcho of Los Illuminados. He had Ashley
Graham kidnapped in order to use her to create a new world order
with him as its leader.

-The Script-

Prologue

[We see an opening monage of events from Resident Evils 1 through 
3 as Leon's voice is heard in the background]

LEON: 1998...(sighs) I'll never forget it. It was the year when 
these grisly murders occured in the Arklay Mountains. Soon after, 
the news was out to the whole world revealing that it was the 
fault of a secret viral experiment conducted by the international 
pharmaceutical enterprise, Umbrella. The virus broke out in a near
by mountain community, Raccoon City. And hit the peaceful little 
town with a devastating blow crippling its very foundation. Not 
taking any chances, the President of the United States ordered a 
contingency plan - to sterilize Raccoon City. With the whole 
affair gone public, the United States government issued an 
indefinite suspension of business decree to Umbrella. Soon its 
stock prices crashed and for all intents and purposes Umbrella 
was finished. Six years had passed since that horrendous 
incident...

Chapter 1

1.1 - Present Day

[Cut to the present, day, where LEON S. KENNEDY is in the back 
seat of a cop car, looking out the window. Two local cops are in 
the front.]

LEON (thinking): I recieved special training via a secret 
organization working under the direct control of the President. 
I was to assume the responsibility of protecting the new 
President's family.  

FIRST COP: (laughs) Why am I the one who always gets the short end
of the stick?

SECOND COP: Yo, who are you really? Come on and tell us. You are a
long way from home, cowboy. You have my sympathies. 

LEON: Guess that's a locals way of breaking the ice. Anyway, you 
know what this is all about. My assignment is to search for the 
President's missing daughter.

FIRST COP: What, all by yourself? (chuckles)

LEON: I'm sure you boys didn't just tag along so we could sing
Kumbiyah together at some Boy Scout bonfire. Then again, maybe
you did.

SECOND COP: (scoffs) Oh, you crazy American. It's an direct order
from the chief himself. I tell you it's no picnic.

LEON: I'm counting on you guys.

[The car stops. The second cop gets out and relives himself. But 
there is someone watching them from the trees. The first cop offers
Leon a cigarette, which Leon refuses.] 

Leon (thinking): It was right before I was to take on my duties of 
protecting the President's daughter when she was abducted. That's
the ultimate reason I'm in this lonely and rural part of Europe. 
According to our intelligence, there's reliable information of a 
sighting of a girl that looks very similar to the President's 
daughter. Apparently she's being withheld by some unidentified 
group of people. Who would have thought my first job would be a 
rescue mission?

[Outside, the cop contines to take a piss.]

SECOND COP: Ah, it's freezing. So cold all of a sudden.  

[He senses someone...or something watching him. He shakes it off.]

SECOND COP: Ah, must be my imagination. 

[He gets back into the car.]

SECOND COP: Sorry it took so long.

[The car takes off.]

1.2 - The Unwelcome Commitee

[The car crosses a bridge and stops.] 

FIRST COP: Just up ahead is the village.

LEON: I'll go and have a look around.

SECOND COP: We'll stay and watch the car.  Don't want to get any
parking tickets.

LEON: Right...parking tickets.

FIRST COP: Good luck.

[Leon gets out of the car.]

LEON (to himself): Geez, who are these guys?

[The First cop rolls down his window.]

FIRST COP: Did you say something?

[Leon then gets a call from his radio. The radio is a GRVT Visual
Radio, meaning that Leon can see who is calling him. The person 
that's calling him now is his support, INGRID HUNNINGAN.]

HUNNINGAN: Leon, I hope you can hear me. I'm Ingrid Hunningan. 
I'll be your support on this mission.

LEON: Loud and clear. Somehow I thought you'd be a little older.
So the subject's name's Ashley Graham, right?

HUNNINGAN: That's right. She's the daughter of the President. So
try and behave yourself, okay?

LEON: (scoffs) Whoever this group is, they sure picked the wrong
girl to kidnap.

HUNNINGAN: I'll try to find more information on them from my end
as well.

LEON: Good. Talk to you later. Leon out.

[As Leon approaches the house, someone inside watches him. Leon
enters the house and finds a man tending to the fire in his 
fireplace. Leon holsters his gun.]

LEON: Uh, excuse me. Sir?  

[Leon pulls out a photo. The man, Don Esteban, turns to face Leon
from his fireplace.]

LEON: I was wondering if you might recognize the girl in this 
photograph?

[The picture is that of Ashley Graham.]

DON ESTEBAN: Qué carajo haces aquí? Lárgate, cabrón! (What the hell
are you doing here? Get out of here!)

LEON: Sorry to have bothered you.

[As Leon pockets the photo, Don Esteban picks up an axe. Leon sees
this and rolls out the way as Don Esteban attempts to bash him 
over the head with it. Leon has his gun out and aimed at the 
advancing Ganado.]

LEON: Freeze! I said freeze!

[After Leon guns down Esteban, the truck outside starts up. The
truck peels off, heading for the parked cop car. Shouting and 
gunfire is heard, followed by a crash, and the sound of the two 
vehicles splashing into the river.]

LEON: Shit!

[Leon gets another call from Hunningan.]

HUNNINGAN: Is everything okay?

LEON: There was a hostile local. I had no choice but to neutralize
him. There are still others surrounding the area.

HUNNINGAN: Get out of there and head toward the village. Take 
whatever measures necessary to save the subject.

LEON: Understood. 

1.3 - The Wreck

[Leon looks over the edge. In the river, is the trashed truck...as
well as the cop car.]

LEON: Oh, no...

1.4 - Village of the Ganados

[As Leon arrives at the village, he gets another call from his
support.]

HUNNINGAN: Leon. How ya holding up?

LEON: Bad question, Hunningan.

HUNNINGAN: Sorry to hear that...I'm sending you a Playing Manual.
Hope you find it useful. 

LEON: I'll take a look at it. Thanks. 

[Leon hides behind a tree and scans the village with a pair of
binoculars. It looks like a normal village...that is if you don't
count one of the cops being impaled and burned at the stake.]

1.5 - Hiding Inside The House

[Leon ducks inside a two-story house.]

LEON: Damn it! 

[More villagers to show up, branshishing axes, pitchforks, what-
have-you-starting some shit.]

LEON: Who are these people?

[Leon looks outside.]

LEON: What are they planning?

[There is the unmistakable sound of a chainsaw being started up. A
villager, DR. SALVADOR, is holding the aforementioned chainsaw in 
his hands as he and the other villagers surround the house.]

LEON: Great. A chainsaw.

[Leon barricades the door with a piece of furniture. Outside, 
ladders are raised at the second-floor windows as the villagers
try to get inside through the boarded windows.]

LEON: Shit! 

1.6 - Saved By The (Church) Bell

On the hill in the distance, the church bell begins to ring. At
that moment, all of the villagers immediately forget about trying 
to murder Leon as they turn towards the church.]

VARIOUS GANADOS: (Speaking Spanish)

[They pile into one of the houses. As we pass (another) Don 
Esteban, he says something in English.]

DON ESTEBAN: Lord Saddler...

[Leon emerges from the house after all of the villagers exit the 
village.]

LEON: (scoffs) Where's everyone going? Bingo?

[Leon calls Hunnigan.]

LEON: Hunnigan, I have some bad news. I've confirmed the body of 
an officer. Something's happened to the people here.

HUNNINGAN: Leon, you need to get out of there. Look for a tower. 
Follow the trail neat it.

LEON: Got it.

1.7 - Introducing Luis Sera

[Leon is standing beside the cabinet. He unlocks the door and a 
man falls out of it, arms and legs tied. Leon kneels down and 
removes the tape covering his mouth. The bound man is LUIS SERA.]

SERA: A little rough, don't you think?  

[Leon turns Sera over and works on his bonds.]

SERA: You're...not like them?

LEON: No. You?

[Leon frees Sera and the man rolls away and sits up.]

SERA: Okay. I have only one, very important question. You got a
smoke?

LEON: Got gum.

[The rescue is wrecked as two armed Ganados enter the room. They
are followed by the 7-foot-tall, bearded village chief, BITORES 
MENDEZ.] 

SERA: Perfect. The big cheese.

LEON: What?

[Leon then charges at Mendez and throws a spinning back kick at 
the chief. Mendez merely catches Leon's foot and with one hand, 
launches him into the air...and onto Sera, destroying the cabinet 
on impact, and knocking them both out.]

1.8 - The Escape

[The screen is blank, but we hear someone's voice.]

OCCULT LEADER: Feeble humans. Let us give you our power.

[Someone in a robe is holding a syringe in their hand. They 
inject...something into Leon's neck while he's still unconscious. 
We then get a look at the hooded Occult Leader.]

OCCULT LEADER: (laughs) Soon, you will become unable to resist 
this...intoxicating power.

[Leon finally comes to. He is in another room, bound, along with
the Spainard whom he tried to rescue earlier.]

LEON: Hey. Hey. Wake up.

[Sera comes to.]

SERA: Ai yi yi. Crawl out of one hole, and into another.

LEON: You want to tell me what's going on here?

SERA: Americano, si? Now what brings a bloke like you to this part
of the world? 

[Leon tries to free himself from his bonds, but ends up hurting 
Sera.]

Easy, whoever you are.

LEON: My name's Leon, I came here looking for this girl. Have you 
seen her?

[Leon manages to show the man Ashley's picture.]

SERA: What, are you supposed to be a cop or something?  Nah, you 
don't look the type.

LEON: Maybe.

SERA: Okay, Let me guess. She's the President's daughter?

LEON: That's too good for a guess. Want to start explaining?

SERA: Psychic powers. Nah, just kidding with you, amigo. 

[Outside, a Ganado who looks like he has seen better days is 
heading towards where Leon and Sera are being held. He is 
dragging a huge axe with him.]

SERA: I overheard one of the villlagers talking something about 
the President's daughter in the church.

LEON: And who might you be?

SERA: Me llamo Luis Sera. I used to be a cop in Madrid. Now I'm 
just a good-for-nothing guy, who happens to be quite the ladies' 
man.

LEON: Why'd you quit?

SERA: (scoffs) Policia...you put your life on the line, no one 
really appreciates you enough for it. Being a hero isn't what it's 
cracked up to be anymore.

LEON: Used to be cop myself. Only for a day though.

SERA: I thought I was bad.

LEON: Somehow I managed to get myself involved with the incident 
in Raccoon City, on my first day in the force.

SERA: That is the incident with the viral outbreak right? I think 
I might have seen a sample of the virus in the lab at my 
department.

[The bloodied Ganado enters with the axe in his hands.]

GANADO: (speaking Spanish)

SERA: Do something, cop!

LEON: After you!

[The Ganado raises the axe with both hands. Then he brings it down
on both of them.]

LEON: Now!

[Leon and Sera move so that their tied wrists are exposed. The axe
cleanly slices through the bonds rendering both Leon and Sera free.
The Ganado pries his axe from the floor and advances on Leon. Leon
kicks him into the wall, where he breaks his neck upon falling on 
the ground. Sera makes a break for it.]

[Leon contacts Hunnigan.]

LEON: It's Leon. Sorry I couldn't get in touch sooner but I was a 
bit tied up.

HUNNIGAN: You're okay, right?

LEON: I'm fine. There was a male civilian held captive. According 
to him, Ashley's in a church somewhere.

HUNNIGAN: What happened to him?

LEON: He managed to escape.

HUNNIGAN: Do you have a fix on the location of that church?

LEON: No, but apparently, there's a secret passage in the village 
that leads there. I'm heading back to the village. 

1.9 - The Merchant

[After Leon exits the room, he sees a hooded and masked man look 
at him through the window. This is the MERCHANT.]

MERCHANT: Over here, stranger.

[After Leon exits the building and rounds the corner, he hees the 
Merchant there.]

MERCHANT: Got something that might interest ya.

[The Merchant opens his cloak, revealing guns, ammo, and what-
have-you-staring-some-more-shit.]

1.10 - Close Encounter with the Village Chief

[Leon is sneaking around in Mendez's house. Downstairs, two 
Ganados are chatting in Spanish. From behind him, comes Mendez. 
Leon spins around, but Mendez is too fast for him. He grabs him by 
the throat and lifts him several feet into the air. Mendez sees 
Leon's eyes go red for a moment before going back to normal. He 
then drops Leon to the floor.]

MENDEZ: Hmmmm. You carry the blood as us, it seems. Nevertheless, 
you're an outsider. Just remember, if you become a nuisance to our
eyes, you face severe consequences.

[Mendez leaves.]

LEON: What? Same blood?

1.11 - The Woman in Red

[Hunnigan contacts Leon.]

HUNNIGAN: Leon. I've been able to ger some new info that might 
help you.

LEON: Fill me in.

HUNNIGAN: Apparently, there's a religious cult group involved. 
They're called the Los Illuminados.

LEON: Los Illuminados? That's a mouthful. Anyway, I've had an 
unexpected run-in with the big cheese of this village.

HUNNIGAN: But you're okay, right?

LEON: Yeah... But he could have killed me, but he let me live... 
And he mentioned something about me carrying the same blood as 
them. Whatever that means.

HUNNIGAN: "Carrying the same blood..." Hmm... Interesting...

LEON: Anyway, there are more important things than solving riddles
right now.

HUNNIGAN: You're right. Hurry and find that church, Leon.

[Leon decides to pursue Mendez. Big mistake, as Mendez is waiting 
for him in his room. The village chief decks Leon, who fires off a 
wild shot, catching the portrait of the occult leader in the head. 
Mendez walks over and plants one huge foot onto his chest, pinning 
him to the floor. Gunfire erupts from behind Mendez, striking the 
village chief in the back. Mendez turn around and sees a woman in 
a red dress hanging from a grappling gun outside. In her other 
hand, she is holding a smoking gun. Mendez turns from Leon and 
charges towards the window. The woman pulls the trigger of her
grapple gun, sending her out of harm's way as Mendez comes 
crashing through the window. Leon recovers and picks up his gun.]

1.12 - Leon Arrives at the Church

[If you arrive at the church, but go down the hanging pathway, 
Hunnigan calls you.]

HUNNIGAN: Leon. Have you reached the church yet?

LEON: Ah...well, yeah. Sort of...

HUNNIGAN: Leon, did I mention not to take the scenic route? At any
rate, Ashley's inside that structure. Rescue her. Hurry!

[When you so to the church's doors, Leon sees that they're locked.
Leon then calls Hunnigan.]

LEON: Hunnigan, it's Leon. The door's locked. I can't get in.

HUNNIGAN: Didn't they teach you how to pick locks at the academy?

LEON: There's some sort of indentation like something might fit 
inside.

HUNNIGAN: Well, there's no use standing around. Leon, you have to 
find some way or something to get inside. 

1.13 - El Lago, part 1

[From a cliff, Leon looks out across a lake and sees something.]

LEON: What's that?

[Using his binoculars, he spies a boat in the middle of the lake. 
Inside the boat, two Ganados take the body of the second cop and 
toss him overboard. 

LEON: Shit.

[Then they take off. The body floats for several moments until 
something...HUGE comes out of the lake and swallows the cop 
whole.]

1.14 - El Lago, part 2

[Leon takes the boat across the lake. However, the huge 
monstrosity that just made the dead cop its lunch is right 
underneath him. El Lago emerges from the lake in a geyser of water, 
nearly causing Leon to fall over. The boat's anchor falls into the 
water and attaches itself to El Lago. Leon is then pulled along for
the ride.]

1.15 - El Lago, the conclusion

[After tossing enough harpoons into El Lago's back, the monster 
retreats back to the watery depths. Leon thinks it's all over, but 
he looks down and in the fiasco following the El Lago battle, the 
anchor's rope has wrapped around his ankle. Leon pulls out his 
knife and hacks the rope off, just in time before it could pull 
him overboard. He then takes the boat back to the shore. After 
getting back on solid ground, Leon is in pain. He is coughing 
up blood as he stumbles to a nearby cabin. The pain is so intense 
that Leon ends up passing out on the floor.] 

Chapter 2

2.1 - Bad Dreams

[Leon comes to inside the cabin. It is night outside. He begins to
have a seizure as a result of the Plagas inside his body. Black 
veins start to show up on his arms and move up his body and he 
starts to freak out, until he finally wakes up from his nightmare. 
He then gets a call from Hunnigan.]

HUNNIGAN: Leon. it's been 6 hours since out last transmission. I 
was starting to get worried. 

LEON: Don't you mean lonely? Anyway, I started to feel dizzy. And
then I guess I must have lost consciousness.

HUNNIGAN: Lost consciousness? Maybe it has some connection to what
the village chief was talking about...?

LEON: Can't say. But I'm all right now. I'm gonna continue my 
mission.

2.2 - Leon Finds the Insignia

[After Leon acquires the Insignia, he contacts Hunnigan.]

LEON: I've obtained an object that resembles the cult group's 
insignia.

HUNNIGAN: Wonderful, Leon. Head back to the church. Ashley's safety 
is our immediate priority.

2.3 - Introducing El Gigante

[Leon reurns to the quarry area, where the two exits are closed by
two Ganados. The huge set of double doors are opened and several 
Ganados are dragging something...huge, or at least trying to out of 
the door. The Ganados lose their grip and fall over. Then the 
monstronsity, known as EL GIGANTE, comes crahing through the doors 
and proceeds to kill every Ganado there. He tries to do the same to
Leon, but Leon doges the attempt]

2.4 - The President's Daughter

[Leon enters the room, as a terrified ASHLEY GRAHAM backs away.]

ASHLEY: Don't come!

[Ashley throws a piece of wood at Leon, who catches it.]

LEON: Hey, take it easy!

ASHLEY: No! Get away!

LEON: Calm down. Everything's going to be just fine. My name's 
Leon, I'm under the President's order to rescue you.

ASHLEY: What? My father?

LEON: That's right, and have to get you out of here. Come with me.

[Leon calls Hunnigan]

LEON: It's Leon. I've succeeded in extricating my subject.

HUNNIGAN: Good work, Leon. I'll send a chopper over right away.

LEON: What's the extraction point?

HUNNIGAN: There's another trail that you can take to get out of 
the village. The chopper will pick you up beyond there.

LEON: Got it. I'm on my way.

2.5 - Lord Saddler Cometh

[Leon and Ashley make a break for the door until someone from the
altar stops them. This guy is dressed in robes and is carrying a 
staff in one hand. He is the leader of Los Illuminados, OSMUND 
SADDLER.]

SADDLER: I'll take the girl.

LEON: Who are you?

SADDLER: If you must know, my name is Osmund Saddler, the master 
of this fine...religious community.

LEON: What do you want?

SADDLER: To demonstrate to the whole world, our astounding power,
of course. No longer will the United States think they can police
the world forever. So we kidnapped the President's daughter, in 
order too give her our power, and then send her back.

ASHLEY: No...

[We see someone injecting something into Ashley's neck.]

ASHLEY: Leon, I think they shot something in my neck.

SADDLER: We just planted her a little...gift. Oh, there's going to
be one hell of a party when she returns home to her loving father.
(laughs) But before that, I thought I might bargain with the 
President for some...donations. Believe it or not, it takes quite 
a lot of money to keep this church up and running.

LEON: Faith and money will lead you nowhere, Saddler.

SADDLER: Oh, I believe I forgot to tell you that we gave you the 
same gift.

LEON: (to himself) When I was unconscious.

SADDLER: Oh, I truly hope you like our small, but special 
contributions.  When the eggs hatch, you'll become my puppets. 
Involuntarily, you'll do as I say. I'll have total control over 
your minds. Don't you think this is revolutionary way to propagate 
one's faith?  

LEON: Sounds more like an alien invasion if you ask me!

[The church doors open and two zealots appear, armed with 
crossbows. Leon grabs Ashley and they make a break for it, the 
zealots firing their crossbows, narrowly missing hitting both of 
them with their flaming bolts as Leon and Ashley go crashing 
through the window, and into the side shed.]

LEON: You okay?

ASHLEY: Leon, what's going to happen to us?

LEON: Don't worry, we got into this mess, we can get out of it.

2.6 - Under Siege

[As Leon and Ashley cross the bridge, Leon gets a call from 
Hunnigan.]

HUNNIGAN: Leon, I have some bad news.

LEON: I'd rather not hear it.

HUNNIGAN: Well, I'm afraid I have to tell you anyway. We've lost 
contact with the chopper. Somebody must have shot it down though, 
we can't determine who.

LEON: Great...

HUNNIGAN: We're prepping another chopper for you. Meanwhile, I 
want you to head towards the extraction point.

LEON: Got it.

[When Leon and Ashley reach the end of the bridge, they're
surrounded by Ganados on both ends.]

ASHLEY: What are we gonna do, Leon?

LEON: I hate to say it, but we're sandwiched all right. Quick, in
that cabin!

[Leon and Ashley bolt for the two-story cabin. Once inside, Leon 
attempts to jam the door.]

SERA: Leon.

[Sera is there and he tosses a doorjam to Leon who barricades the
door.]

SERA: Small world, eh? (looks at Ashley's chest) Well, I see that
the President's equipped his daughter with ballistics too.

ASHLEY: How rude! And I don't believe there's any relevance with 
my figure and my standing. Who are you?

SERA: Ho ho, excuse me, Your Highness. Perhaps the young lady 
might want to introduce herself first before asking someone his
name?

ASHLEY: Her name's Ashley Graham, the President's daughter.

SERA: Is she, you know?

LEON: Don't worry. She's cool.

LUIS: Ehh, nevermind. There's supposed to be some obvious symptom 
before you turn into one of them anyway.

[Ashley looks outside and gasps.]

ASHLEY: Look!

[The Ganados are now outside the cabin and are trying to get 
inside.]

LEON: Ashley, upstairs!

[You better believe that Ashley do as Leon says. Sera pulls out 
his Red9 pistol.]

SERA: Okay...it's game time.

[After Leon and Sera gun down about forty enemies, the Ganados 
call off the assault.]

GANADO: Vamanos.

[The Ganados disperse.]

LEON: Looks like they're backing off.

SERA: So, what do we do now?

[Ashley comes down the stairs.]

LEON: The bridge I crossed to get here is out, so I guess we have 
no choice but to keep moving.

SERA: I forgot something. You guys go on ahead.

[Sera leaves the cabin.]

LEON: Luis.

2.7 - Leon versus Mendez

[Leon and Ashley approach a huge barn.]

LEON: You'd better stay outside. Ashley, go hide.

ASHLEY: Yeah.

[Leon enters the barn. It is empty...well, almost. Mendez appears
behind Leon and knocks him to the ground. He then turns around and 
in the words of President Evil, 'casually twists the steel 
doorhandles into origami.' Leon rolls out of the way as Mendez 
attempts to grab him in a deathgrip and kicks over a barrel filled 
with fuel, the contents reaching Mendez as Leon takes aim.]

LEON: Hasta luego.

[Leon fires into the fuel. The gas catches fire and engulfs 
Mendez. The drum then explodes, setting most of the barn on fire. 
Mendez, however, does not die. With a sickening sound, Mendez's 
spine grows, severing his torso from his lower body. His 
fingernails grow into claws and two insectlike appendages grow 
from his back. Leon fights Mendez. After the boss fight, Leon 
escapes the barn with the False Eye. Ashley is waiting for him 
outside.]

ASHLEY: Are you okay, Leon? 

2.8 - Escape into the Castle

[More Ganados are closing in on Leon and his charge as the pair 
approach the castle.]

LEON: On the other side of the bridge!

ASHLEY: Yeah.

[They both race across the drawbridge. The Ganados are closing in 
on them.]

LEON: You take that one.

ASHLEY: Okay.

LEON: Ready?

[Leon and Ashley take their positions by the two cranks. Working 
together, they raise the drawbridge, blocking the Ganados' only 
route of entry.]

LEON: Come on.

ASHLEY: Yeah.

[They enter the castle.]

Chapter 3

3.1 - Lost The Connection

[Leon gets another call from Hunnigan.]

HUNNIGAN: Leon, what's your current location?

LEON: We decided to lay low in a castle, but it looks like it was 
a bad move.

HUNNIGAN: Meaning?

LEON: Well it appears that this castle's also connected with the 
Los Illuminados. They must not get many visitors cuz they're 
giving me one hell of a welcome.

HUNNIGAN: Sounds bad. I have an idea, Leon. I need you to--

[Hunnigan gets cut off.]

LEON: What? Repeat, Hunnigan.

[Silence.]

LEON: Great. Just my luck.  

3.2 - Something Important

[Sera catches up with Leon and Ashley at the castle.]

SERA: Leon!

LEON: Luis.

SERA: I've got something for you guys.

[Sera searches for his pockets. Apparently, the item he had for 
the both of them is not there.]

SERA: Uh... What?! Oh, shit! I must have dropped it when I was 
running away from them.

ASHLEY: Dropped what?

SERA: A drug that'll stop your convulsions. Look, I know you 
are carriers. You've been coughing up blood, right?

LEON: ...Yeah.

[Sera turns to Ashley.]

SERA: And you?  

ASHLEY: Yes.

SERA: Damn it! The eggs have hatched. We don't have much time.

LEON: What are you talking about?

SERA: I have to go back and get it.

[Sera turns and starts to walk away.]

ASHLEY: Let me come with you.

SERA: No, you stay here with Leon. He is better with the ladies.
I'm sure.

LEON: Why are you--

[Sera cuts him off.]

SERA: It makes me feel better. Let's just leave it at that.

[Sera leaves.]

3.3 - The Castellan of the Castle 

[Inside the main hall, Leon and Ashley here someone cackling. As
they approach the balcony overlooking the hall, the laughter gets 
louder, until the owner of the laugh shows himself. The person is
a pasty-looking midget dressed in castellan attire. This is RAMON
SALAZAR, Castellan of the Salazar Family. He is flanked on either
side by his Verdugo bodyguards.]

SALAZAR: I was starting to wonder when you might notice us.

LEON: Who are you?  

SALAZAR: Me llamo Ramon Salazar, the eighth Castellan of this
magnificent arcitecture. I have been honored with the prodigous 
power from the great Lord Saddler. I've been expecting you, my 
bretherns.

LEON: No thanks, bro.

SALAZAR: My my, we've got a feisty one. If you care for your own
well-being, I suggest you surrender yourself and simply...become 
our hostage. Or, Mr. Scott, you can give us the girl, since you're 
not worth a penny, I'm afraid. You can die.

[Salazar turns and leaves, his bodyguards following him.]

ASHLEY: I'm never turning into one of them! Never!

LEON: Got that right. We'll find a cure.

3.4 - Seperated

[Inside the Observation Hall, Ashley begins to cough up blood. 
Leon becomes immediately concerned.]

LEON: You all right?

[Ashley pushes him away and runs.] 

ASHLEY: I'm fine! Leave me alone!

LEON: Ashley, wait!

[Steel spikes, five rows each, seperate them until Ashley's back
is against the wall.]

LEON: Ashley!

[Steel straps appear, securing Ashley to the wall.]

ASHLEY: What's going on!?

[The wall then rotaes like a Lazy Susan, taking Ashley with it.]

LEON: Don't worry, Ashley! I'm coming for ya!

[Leon gets a call from his radio.]

LEON: Hunnigan, what happened? The transmission got cut off.

[It's not Hunnigan that's calling Leon. The insane laugh from the 
other end shows that it's Salazar on the other.]

LEON: Salazar! How'd you...?

SALAZAR: We've jacked the line. We didn't want you telling 
everyone any unnecessary information.

LEON: Where's Ashley?!

SALAZAR: Aw... So she fell into one of our wonderful traps. We'll
make sure we find her. Don't you worry about her. Oh, yes. I let 
out miserable insects out for some excercise down in the sewer.

LEON: Thanks. That should keep me company. Cuz boredom kills me.

SALAZAR: I look forward to our next encounter... In another life.

3.5 - Another Run-in with Salazar

[Leon enters the Gallery. Salazar is once again, on the upper 
floor, looking down on Leon.]

SALAZAR: What a pleasant suprise. But I'm afraid it's Ashley we 
need, not you, Mr. Kennedy.

LEON: If you don't need me, then get off my back, old man!

SALAZAR: Did you say old man, Mr. Kennedy? It might come as a 
suprise, but I'm only twenty years old.

LEON: So you're just like all the others. A puppet of the 
parasites?

SALAZAR: Surely you don't think I'm the same as those dimunitive 
Ganados. The parasites, Las Plagas are slaves to my will. I have
absolute control.

LEON: Well, I really don't give a damn. Rain or shine, you're 
goin' down.

[About a dozen zealots appear, all of them armed with scythes,
crossbows and even RPGs.]

SALAZAR: Get rid of our American friend.

[The Zealots close in.]

3.6 - Warning Transmission

[Outside the Garden, Leon gets a call from Salazar.]

SALAZAR: Mr. Kennedy. Still alive, I see. So, do you like my
garden?

LEON: I see you've managed to work in a little of your twisted
taste here too.

SALAZAR: (chuckles) Sagacious as I am, even I get lost here 
sometimes. Even if it takes your whole life, you'll never get 
out. Do you know that no one dies without a cause? You will 
satisfy the stomachs of my cute pets. Now if you'll excuse me, 
I have to tie up a few loose ends. Like chasing down a couple 
of rats.

[Salazar cuts the transmission.]

LEON: Two rats...? If one's Luis... Who's the other? There an 
intruder besides me?

3.7 - An Old Flame

[The woman in the red dress who saved Leon from Mendez earlier 
walks up behind him. She pulls out a gun from her holster and 
presses it into his back.]

WOMAN IN RED: Put your hands where I can see them.

LEON: Sorry, but following a lady's lead just isn't my style.

[The woman raises her gun a bit higher.]

WOMAN IN RED: Put them up now.

[Leon spins, grabs the woman's hand with the gun and puts her in 
an arm bar and takes her gun. She counters by performing a forward 
cartwheel, knocking her gun into the air. As she moves for her gun, 
Leon has his knife out and when she catches her gun. She aims, but 
Leon is faster. He blocks her gun and has his knife against her 
throat.]

LEON: Bit of advice - try using knives next time. Works better 
for close encounters. 

[Leon takes her gun, ejects the clip and tosses the weapon aside.
The woman removes her sunglasses. It's ADA WONG.]

ADA: Leon. Long time, no see.

[Eventhough Ada is alive and well following Raccoon City, Leon is 
not happy to see her.]

LEON: Ada... So it is true. 

[Ada has that mysterious smile on her face.] 

ADA: True? About what?

LEON: You, working with Wesker.

ADA: I see you've been doing your homework.

LEON: Why, Ada?

[Ada discreetly drops her sunglasses. We can tell that they are no
ordinary pair of shades.]

ADA: What's it to you?

LEON: Why are you here? Why'd you show up like this?

ADA:  Heh.

[The shades are a flash bomb, and it's effective in blinding Leon
long enough for Ada to retrieve her gun.]

ADA: See you around. 

[Ada hops out the open window and disappears.]

LEON: Ada!

3.8 - Sera's Death

[Inside the mezzanine, Sera enters from the same door as Leon. He
has something in both hands.]

SERA: Leon! I got it.

[Sera stops speaking as a soft 'thump' is heard. Leon watches in
horror as Sera is impaled by a huge tendrill and is hoisted into 
the air.]

LEON: Luis!

[Screaming, Sera drops what he has brought for Leon: which is a 
small canister containing the Las Plagas sample. Saddler is there
to catch it. The tendrill slams Sera to the ground and disappears
under Saddler's robes.]

SADDLER: Now that I have the sample, you serve me no purpose.

LEON: Saddler!

SADDLER: My boy Salazar will make sure you follow the same fate.

[Saddler leaves. Leon rushes over to Sera, who is fading fast.]

LEON: Stay with me, Luis. 

SERA: I am a researcher...hired by Saddler. He found out what I was
up to.

LEON: Don't talk.

[Sera hands him a bottle of pills.]

SERA: Here. It should suppress growth of the parasite. The 
sample...Saddler took it. You have to get it back.

[And with that, Luis Sera dies.]

LEON: Luis! LUIS!

3.9 - Rescuing Ashley

Ashley is on the lower level of the mezzanine. She is still 
strapped down, screaming "Help!" several times. Leon frees her
with the sniper rifle. Note that each time you blast a bond off,
Ashley screams.]

ASHLEY: Talk about near death experience.

[Several robed Illuminados appear from a couple of secret doors.]

LEON: Ashley, get out of there!

[Leon lays down suppressing fire on the zealots. When the first 
wave of zealots are gunned down, Ashley runs for the door. But 
it's locked.]

ASHLEY: The door's locked! I can't open it!

[More Illuminados appear, one of which is a red-robed zealot who
is carrying the key for the locked door. After Leon destroys the
second wave of zombies--er, I mean Illuminados, Ashley picks up 
the key from the dead zealot.]

ASHLEY: I got the key! I can get out!

3.10 - Reunited

[Ashley opens the door and sees Leon.]

ASHLEY: Leon!

LEON: Ashley!

[Ashley runs to Leon and throws her arms around him in a hug.]

LEON: You did good.

ASHLEY: I'm sorry if I was...

LEON: Don't worry about it. Come on, let's move on.

Chapter 4

4.1 - Another Call from Salazar

[Leon gets a call from Salazar.]

SALAZAR: Aw...what a touching moment we have here.

LEON: All spoiled thanks to your interruption. Why don't you do
us all a favor and leave before the audience gets pissed off?

SALAZAR: You're nothing but an extra in my script, so don't get 
too carried away. Your biggest scene is over.

LEON: I don't ever remember being a part of your crappy script.

SALAZAR: Well then, why don't you show me what a first-class 
script is like: Through your own actions.

4.2 - The Spiked Celing Trap

[While searching inside the annex, Ashley and Leon come across
Salazar again.]

SALAZAR: I think you've lived long enough. Lets see if you can 
survive this time.

[The ceiling begins to lower. Worse yet, spikes appear as the 
ceiling decends.]

ASHLEY: No!

[Leon looks at the celing, then at Salazar as he escapes, 
laughing all the while.]

4.3 - Seperated Again

[We are now looking at the world as it is seen by one of the
giant inscts known as Novistadors. The same Novistador swoops
down and captures Ashley and flies off with her.]

ASHLEY: (screams) Leon! Help!

LEON: Damn it! Ashley!

[More of the Novistadors arrive, ready to make Leon's life
hell.]

LEON: Great. More of them.

4.4 - Threats

[When Leon makes it outside, Salazar calls him on the radio.]

SALAZAR: I wonder if you can see me, Mr. Kennedy?

LEON: If you scratch her, I'll break your bones.

SALAZAR: First, we'll see if you can make it this far. I'll be
waiting.

[From his perch, Leon uses his binoculars and sees Salazar with 
Ashley, hands behind her beack, being led inside the Watchman's
Hallway.]

LEON: Shit!

4.5 - The Trap

[Leon opens the door and enters the Castellan's Room. There, he 
finds Salazar, seated on a throne and Ashley being guarded by his
Verdugo bodyguards.]

LEON: Ashley.

ASHLEY: Leon!

SALAZAR: Mr. Kennedy, don't you know when it's time to throw in 
the towel?

[Salazar pushes a button. There is a 'whoosh' as the floor under 
Leon gives way and Leon falls.]

ASHLEY: No, Leon!

[Leon falls, but manages to throw out a grappling hook, which 
embeds itself into the wall, stopping his fall. Salazar, in the
meantime is listening in, hoping to hear Leon's demise.]

SALAZAR: Hmm...where's the satisfying sound of one's impalement?

[Leon has his gun out.]

LEON: Won't fall for this old trick.

[Leon fires off a round into the megaphone-like end of the 
hearing device, making Salazar's ears ring. He is pissed.]

SALAZAR: Aah! How dare you! No more games! Kill him! 

[Salazar turns to one of his Verdugo bodyguards.]

SALAZAR: KILL!

[The bodyguard leaves to do its master's bidding. Salazar hops 
down from his throne and walks off.]

SALAZAR:  Quickly! We shall prepare for the ritual!

[The other boduguard pushes Ashley along.]

ASHLEY: (quietly) Leon...you're alive.

[Once Leon is on safe ground, he gets a call from a furious
Salazar.]

SALAZAR: So maybe you have nine lives. But it doesn't matter now,
Mr. Kennedy! I've sent my right hand to dispose of you.

LEON: Your right hand comes off?

SALAZAR: Say whatever you please. Die, you worm!!!!

4.6 - Marching Orders

[Inside Saddler's island fortress, Saddler is seated on his 
throne. There is a beefed-up man kneeling in front of him. His 
face is riddled with scars. This is JACK KRAUSER, Leon's 
former training buddy, now all-around bad guy.]

SADDLER: It seems that Salazar is having difficulty taming the 
American pig. Salazar had his chance. Krauser, go get the girl.  
Oh, and dispose of this swine while you're at it.

KRAUSER: Consider it done.

4.7 - End of the Road

[Leon encounters Salazar and his remaining Verdugo bodyguard at
the base of the Tower.]

SALAZAR: (clapping) So nice you could join us, Mr. Scott Kennedy.

LEON: You again.

SALAZAR: The sacred rite that is about to begin at this tower 
will bestow the girl with magnificent power. She will join us, 
become one of us.

LEON: This is no ritual. This is terrorism.

SALAZAR: Isn't that a popular word these days?  Not to worry, 
we've prepared a special ritual just for you.

[Before Salazar could trigger yet another trap, Leon pulls his 
knife out and tosses it...right into Salazar's hand. Salazar 
looks at his hand in diebelief as he whimpers in pain.]

LEON: Heh.

[The Verdugo grabs the knife, yanks it out of Salazar's palm 
and sends it sailing towards Leon's head. Leon dodges in time,
but the distraction allows Salazar and his bodyguard to board 
the lift and escape.]

LEON: Stop!

4.8 - Showdown

[Inside the main room where the Las Plagas are produced en masse
by what it looks like a giant brood queen or sorts, Salazar and
his bodyguard are waiting for Leon on top of an altarlike 
platform.]

SALAZAR: Ah, you've just missed her. The ritual is over. She 
left with my men to an island.

Leon: What?

[We see a scene where a boat is en route to Saddler's island.]

SALAZAR: I think it's time I payed my due respects towards to 
your impressive and stubbon will. Mr. Kennedy...welcome!

[Tendrills and tentacles surround both Salazar and his
bodyguard. They suck them both - Salazar laughing all the 
while - into the brood queen, where they merge and transform 
into a new being. They also wreck the altar and Leon's entry
point is now blocked by spikes.] 

LEON: Monsters. I guess after this there'll be one less to 
worry about.

4.9 - Bumming A Ride

[Leon finds a single speedboat at the docks following his battle
with Salazar. Waiting for him behind the wheel, is Ada.]

ADA: Need a ride, handsome?

[Leon holsters his gun.]

LEON: Hmph. Okay...

Chapter 5

5.1 - The Island

[Leon and Ada are on their way to Saddler's fortress. Leon looks
at Ada, who smiles at him...then turns the boat hard, stopping it
cliffside. Ada pulls out her grabbling gun and fires, the hook
catching at a ledge.]

ADA: Got some business to take care of. See you later.

[Ada zooms off, forcing Leon to fight for control of the speedboat,
which he does with some dificulty.]

LEON: (sighs) Women.

[Once Leon is on safe ground. he gets a call from his radio. It's
Saddler.]

LEON: I hate to break it out to you but Salazar's dead.

SADDLER: Yes, it seems that way.

LEON: Saddler, why don't you give up and let Ashley go home?

SADDLER: Perhaps you are disllusioned with overconfidence just 
because you killed my small-time subordinate?

LEON: Saddler, you're small time.

[Saddler laughs.]

SADDLER: Writhe in my cage of torment, my friend.

5.2 - The Search for Ashley

[Leon comes across a series of survaillance montors. Several of 
which are in Ashley's cell, where she is being cornered by two 
Ganados.]

ASHLEY: Help me Leon!

LEON: Ashley.

[One of the Ganados sees the camera and motions to his partner. The
other Ganado flips several switches, turning the cameras off.]

LEON: Heh. Amateurs. Just hang in there, Ashley. I'm coming for 
ya.

5.3 - Attempt To Call Backup

[Inside the communications tower, Leon uses the microphone to call
for reinforcements.]

LEON: This is Leon. Request backup. Repeat, request backup.

[All Leon gets is static. The radio isn't working. The signal's 
jammed.]

LEON: Damn!

5.4 - The President's Daughter...again

[Leon enters Ashley's cell. He finds her behind several boxes.]

ASHLEY: Leon!

LEON: You okay? 

[Ashley nods.]

LEON: Come on, let's get out of here.

5.4 - Taking A Dive

[Leon and Ashley are standing at the edge of the garbage chute.]

LEON: Looks like this is it.

[Ashley holds her nose.]

ASHLEY: Ugh, it stinks.

LEON: Sure does.

[At that moment, Ashley looks at Leon and knows what he is 
thinking.]

ASHLEY: No way, Leon.

[Leon grabs her wrist.]

LEON: Way.

[Ashley can only let out a yell as she and Leon jump into the
chute, and land on a pile of garbage.]

ASHLEY: Are you out of your mind?

LEON: I knew you'd be fine if you landed on your butt.

ASHLEY: You...!

[Leon helps Ashley to her feet. She then looks down and sees a
downed Iron Maiden beside her.] 

ASHLEY: What is this?

LEON: Come on, let's go.

[After Leon opens the first gate, the Iron Maiden comes to life.]

ASHLEY: What is that thing?!

5.5 - Kidnapped...Again

[Outside the Boiler Room, Leon and Ashley encounter Saddler.]

SADDLER: I can feel them. Growing ever so strongly inside you.

LEON: Saddler!

[Leon rushes Saddler, who simply raises one hand. The Plagas 
inside Leon reacts to its master's call and brings Leon to his 
knees. Leon is in extreme pain from the Plagas acting up inside 
his body.]

SADDLER: (chuckles) Perhaps you can resist, but you cannot 
disobey.

[He turns his hand from Leon to Ashley.]

SADDLER: Now, come to me, Ashley.

[Ashley falls under Saddler's spell. Eyes red, in a trance, she 
heeds Saddler's call. As she passes Leon, Leon manages to toss a 
homing beacon on her back as she leaves with Saddler. As soon as 
Saddler leaves with Ashley, the pain stops.]

5.6 - Dangerous Liasons

[Krauser is in a room with Ada. Ada is leaning up against a wall
while Krauser is casually tossing a knife into the air and 
catching it.]

KRAUSER: What's the news on our friend, Leon?

ADA: He's not making it easy. The sample?  

[Krauser is still playing with his knife.]

KRAUSER: Saddler's got it. It seems he's sniffed out our little
game.

ADA: Perfect.

KRAUSER: Just so we understand each other clearly, I don't trust
you. Nor does Wesker. If you try to do anything clever, I will 
kill you.

ADA: Is that so? You know, I met Wesker long before you.

KRAUSER: We'll see soon enough if you did.

[Ada heads for the door.]

ADA: Yeah. We'll see.

[Ada leaves.]

Krauser: Heh.

5.7 - Leon versus Krauser, First Blood

[As Leon walks across the boiler room area, he has the feeling that 
somebody's watching him. Krauser is behind him. But when Leon turns 
around, he is gone. Leon then hears something above him and sees 
Krauser coming down at him, knife ready to kill Leon. Leon moves, 
but is not fast enough. Krauser's blade catches him on the cheek,
drawing blood. As they talk, the occasionally fight, Krauser being
the better of the two.]

KRAUSER: Been a long time, comrade.

LEON: Krauser!

KRAUSER: I died in the crash two years ago. Is that what they told
you?

LEON: You're the one who kidnapped Ashley!

KRAUSER: You catch on quick. That's expected. After all, both you 
and I know where we come from.

LEON: What do you want?

KRAUSER: Hmph. The sample Saddler developed, that's all.

LEON: Leave Ashley out of this!

KRAUSER: Oh, I needed her to buy Saddler's trust in me. Like you,
I'm American.

LEON: You got her involved just for that?!

[Krauser knocks Leon to the floor.]

KRAUSER: All for Umbrella's sake.

LEON: Umbrella?

KRAUSER: Almost let it slip. Enough talk. Die, comrade!

[Krauser jumps on Leon, knife raised to stab Leon in the heart.
However, Ada intervenes by blasting the knife out of Krauser's
hands, thus saving Leon's life.]

LEON: Ada!

KRAUSER: Well, if it isn't the bitch in the red dress.

ADA: It looks like we have the upper hand here.

[Krauser laughs, then flips onto a nearby ledge...which is close 
to 20 feet above Leon.]

KRAUSER: You may be able to prolong your life, but it's not like
you can escape your invitable death, is it?

[Krauser runs off. Ada hops down as Leon picks up the knife

ADA: You...knew each other?

LEON: More or less. Maybe it's about time you told me the reason
you're here?

[Ada walks past him.]

ADA:  Maybe some other time.

[Ada hops over the ledge. Leon then gets another call from Saddler.
We see that Saddler's removed his hood.]

SADDLER: Enjoy the reunion with your old friend?

LEON: As a matter of fact, I did.

SADDLER: Wonderful. I wouldn't want my special guests on the island
feeling unattended.

LEON: Guess I'm supposed to thank you, right?

SADDLER: Ah...I have an idea. Since you're here, why don't I 
introduce you to "it." It should keep you busy.

LEON: Can't remember the name? A senior moment, perhaps.

SADDLER: Enjoy the fun.

5.8 - Playing with "It."

[Leon comes acorss Saddler's sadistic little playground, which
consists of three massive compartments, each loaded with
shipping containers. The compartments are located over a huge 
chasm. Leon comes across Ashley's homing beacon.

LEON: Ashley...

[Something is coming.]

LEON: What is that?

[It's "it." It is Saddler's monster, the U-3. U-3 forces Leon 
into the compartments for a fight.]

5.9 - The Hunter and The Hunted

[As Leon makes his way across the ruins, Krauser shows himself
from across the way. He has discarded his shirt and has red camo
paint on his face.]

KRAUSER: So, you two are all hooked up now, is that it?

LEON: Where's Ashley?

KRAUSER: Do you really want to know? She's beyond that gate. But
you'll need three insignias to open it.

LEON: What are you gonna do, Krauser?

KRAUSER: There's one in the north...

[We see the first piece, the Holy Beast Panther.]

KRAUSER:...and another in the east.

[We see the second piece, the Holy Beast Eagle.]

LEON: And let me guess...you got the last one.

KRAUSER: It pretty much means you're on a tight leash.

[Krauser pulls out a TMP machine gun and aims it at Leon.]

Leon: Sounds like you thought this one out pretty well.

[Leon throws out his grappling hook. Krauser knocks it to the 
side, just as Leon makes a break for it. Krauser fires a burst
of gunfire, but Leon makes it behind a stone wall.]

5.10 - Leon versus Krauser, the rematch

[Leon reaches the Panther piece. Just then, Krauser shows up,
knife drawn.]

LEON: What do you intend to do, restoring Umbrella?

KRAUSER: To bring order and balance to this insane world of 
ours.

[Leon tosses the piece in the air and catches it.]

LEON: A psycho like you can't bring order or balance.

KRAUSER: You don't seriously think a conservative mind can chart 
a new course for the world, do you?

[As they fight, Krauser jumps onto higher ground.]

KRAUSER: Don't just stand there. Come out and fight like a man!

LEON: I'm not falling for that one.

KRAUSER: Just trying to have fun.

5.11 - Why Do You Fight?

[While searching for the second piece, Krauser encounters Leon.]

KRAUSER: What is it that you fight for, comrade?

LEON: My past, I suppose.

KRAUSER: Hmph. Umbrella.

5.12 - Leon versus Krauser, the final throwdown

[Leon picks up the Holy Eagle piece. He looks up and sees Krauser
standing above him. He has his TMP in his hands.]

LEON: Two down, one more to go, Krauser.

KRAUSER: Hmph. We'll see about that.

[Krauser discards his TMP. Then his left arm changes into a VERY
BIG claw.]

KRAUSER: Witness the power!

LEON: You've lost it completely, Krauser.

KRAUSER: Prepare for your death, Leon.

[Leon and Krauser fight. Leon defeats Krauser. Leon gets the final
piece, the Holy Beast Serpent.]

5.13 - Saddler's Call

[Leon gets a call from Saddler following Krauser's demise.]

SADDLER: So, it seems you killed Krauser too. How should I return
my appreciation?

LEON: Wha? What are you talking about? I thought he was with you.

SADDLER: What are you talking about? Did you really think I'd trust
an American? To tell you the truth, I was contemplating how to get
rid of him. But thanks to you, that's no longer necessary.

LEON: You were just using him right from the start.

SADDLER: Oh, I must hand it to you... You've demonstrated a bit of
promise by killing Krauser. When your assimilation with Las Plagas
is complete, I'll have you serve as my guard.

LEON: Unfortunately, I'm going to have to decling your generous
offer. I have prior engagements.

SADDLER: Hmph. Enjoy your smart mouthing while you can.

5.14 - Backup Arrives

[As Leon approaches Saddler's final defenses, he sees that an army
of Ganados are waiting for him. All are armed with crossbows, stun
rods, what-have-you-starting-way-too-much-shit. One's even manned a 
Gatling gun turret. Leon takes cover to avoid being seen.]

LEON: Damn!

[Just then, a helicopter arrives. We see that it's armed with 
rockets and chainguns on both sides. Leon's headset begins to beep
and Leon attaches it to his ear.]

LEON: Hey. It's about time.

PILOT: Sorry, bad traffic. I'll cover you.

[The Ganado commandos go about their business. One of them sees the
metal supports of a gas tower starting to bend. The Ganado looks up
and sees that it's the work of the chopper overhead. The chopper 
succeds in knocking the tower over, squashing a Ganado. Then all 
hell breaks loose as the pilot opens fire, killing the Ganados. Then
the downed tower catches fire and explodes, catching the watchtower
as well, causing that to blow up as well.]

LEON: Now that's what I call backup.

PILOT: The name's Mike. You looking for firepower you've come to the 
right place.

5.15 - Mike's Death

[When Leon arrives at the Temple's Entrance, he is immediately 
surrounded by armed Ganados. Fortunately for him, Mike arrives.]

MIKE: Take cover!

[Leon hits the deck as Mike opens fire on the Ganados, killing the
lot of them. One Ganado manages to avoid the gunfire, but the 
chopper's fire manages to sever a huge pillar, which comes down on 
the Ganado like God's bootheel. The Ganado lets out a scream before 
it's flattened by the pillar. Ouch.]

LEON: Thanks. When we get out of here, drinks are on me.

MIKE: Yeah! Hey, I know a good bar!

[That's the last thing Mike gets to say, since a Ganado toting a
RPG fires. The RPG tears into the helicopter, destroying it and
killing Mike. Leon watches in horror as the wreckage falls and 
crashes to the ground.]

LEON: MIKE!

[Leon looks up to see the Ganado and Saddler walk away.]

LEON: I'll make sure you're the next to go, Saddler!

[Saddler calls Leon on the radio.]

SADDLER: Oh, I'm sorry, Leon.

LEON: Saddler, you bastard!

SADDLER: It's nothing to get all upset about. Don't tell me you've 
never swatted a bothersome fly. In essence, it's the same thing.

LEON: What'd you say?! Insects' life doesn't compare to human 
lives!

SADDLER: When you acquired this power, you too will understand.

LEON: Guess it's another good reason to get his parasite out of my
body.

SADDLER: I wish you luck.

5.16 - Leon Loses It

[Leon begins to stumble and groans in pain as the drugs that Sera 
gave him begin to wear off. Ada shows up to see Leon in a bad way.]

ADA: Leon, you okay?

LEON: Yeah.

[But Leon is not okay as the Plagas inside of him take control. 
He grabs Ada and begins to choke the life out of her. We see 
Leon's eyes go red. Ada finally frees herself by taking out a 
small knife and stabbing Leon in the leg, which is followed by a 
knee to the gut. Leon lets her go and manages to get control of 
himself.]

LEON: Sorry, Ada.

[Leon takes several more of Sera's pills.]

ADA: We have to get that parasite out of your body.

LEON: Yeah. But before that, I have to save Ashley.

ADA: Fine. Let's split up.

5.17 - Leon Rescues Ashley...again

[Inside the Capsule Room, Leon finds Ashley strapped inside a 
capsule. As Leon moves in, Saddler shows up behind Leon.]

SADDLER: You'll soon harbor an awesome power. Yet it seems, you 
would rather choose death.

LEON: I'm taking Ashley back, whether you like it or not.

SADDLER: Ah, the audacity of youth.

[Saddler bumrushes Leon, Wesker-style, and power punches him 
into the capsule. Before Saddler could finish Leon off, Ada
shows up on the balcony, TMP in her hands as she opens fire on
Saddler.]

ADA: Leon, now!

[In an instant, Leon is at the controls and Ashley is freed.
Saddler, not surprizingly is unhurt. With a groan, he simply 
ejects the bullets from body by sending them to his hand and 
tossing them to the ground. Ada is aiming her gun again.]

ADA: Move!

LEON: Let's go!

[Leon and Ashley bolt for the exit. Saddler is walking, not 
hurrying to catch up with them as Ada fires at his back. She 
then sees several flammable barrels overhead where Leon and 
Ashley just exited. She opens fire on the barrels, detonating
them and blocking Saddler's path.]

5.18 - Cured

[The pair reach the late Sera's laboratory, where the Plagas
removal equipment is located.]

ASHLEY: This hunk of junk? I don't know about this, Leon.

LEON: There's only one way to find out. You operate.

[Leon gets into the chair.]

ASHLEY: Are you sure you want to do this?

LEON: Yeah.

ASHLEY: Alright. Here goes nothing.

[Ashley operates the machine. The machine goes to work as it uses 
low-level radiation to destroy the Plagas inside Leon's body. 
Eventhough the operation is somewhat painful, Leon's Plaga is 
destroyed.]

ASHLEY: How are you feeling?

LEON: Like a million bucks.

ASHLEY: I thought you were gonna die. Alright. Guess I'm up.

[Ashley gets in the chair and Leon operates the machine, with the 
same results as Leon. Ashley's Plaga is also wiped out.]

LEON:  You okay?

[Ashley reponds by hugging him.]

LEON:  I don't know about you, but I think it's time we go home.

[Ashley nods.]

Final Chapter

6.1 - The Final Showdown

[Leon and his charge reach the lift.]

LEON: Something's not right. Ashley, you stay here.

[When Leon rides the lift to the construction platform, he sees 
Ada tied overhead.]

LEON: Ada!

[Saddler appears. He raises his hand in an attempt to control 
Leon like before. But it doesn't work, since Leon no longer has 
his Plaga. Saddler sees this. Leon pulls out Krauser's knife.]

LEON: Hmph.

SADDLER: Huh?!

LEON: Better try a new trick, because that one's getting old.

[Leon throws the knife, severing Ada's bonds and freeing her.
She falls on some canvas.]

LEON: You okay?

ADA: I've been better.

[Saddler begins to laugh.]

LEON: What's so funny?

SADDLER: Oh, I think you know. The American prevailing is a cliché 
that only happens in your Hollywood movies. Oh, Mr. Kennedy, you 
entertain me. To show my appreciation, I will help you awaken from
your world of clichés.  

[Saddler transforms into a giant monster.]

LEON: Ada, stand back!

[Leon and the monstronsity known as Osmund Saddler fight. Halfway
through the battle, Ada is high above the platform. She is holding
a Special Rocket Launcher.]

ADA: Use this!

[Leon picks up the Special Rocket Launcher, aims and fires, wiping
Saddler off the map. Among the remains, is the Plaga sample. As Leon
bends over to pick it up, Ada is behind him, with a gun to the back
of the head.]

ADA: Sorry, Leon. Hand it over.

LEON: Ada, you do know what this is.

[Leon hands the vial over. Ada takes it, runs and hops over the ledge.
When she comes back up, she is inside a helicopter.]

ADA: Don't worry. I'll take good care of it.

LEON: Ada!

ADA: Gotta go. If I were you, I'd get off this island too.

[Ada pulls out a hand-held device and pushes the button. A countdown
has begun. Time to go.]

LEON: She really pushed it!

ADA: Here, catch. 

[Ada throws him the Jetski Key.]

ADA: Better get a move on. See you around.

[Ada and the helicopter takes off. Leon looks at the key. Its 
keychain is that of a palm-sized teddy bear.]

LEON: (sarcasm) Very cute.

6.2 - The Escape

[Leon rides the lift back down to Ashley.]

ASHLEY: Leon.

LEON: We have to get off this island now! It's gonna blow any minute.

[Leon grabs Ashley's wrist and they break into a run.]

ASHLEY: It's gonna what?!

[The duo reaches the jetski. Leon hops on it and starts it up. Ashley
gets on behind him.]

LEON: Hang on, sweetheart!

[Leon guns the motor and takes off. Explosions rock the island fortress.
Inside the escape tunnel, a tidal wave is hot on their heels.]

ASHLEY: Waves! Behind us!

LEON: I know! Just hold on!

[Dodging falling rocks, Leon and Ashley make it to the exit, a geyser of
water following them. Ashley falls off the jetski and into the water.]

LEON: Ashley! Ashley, where are you?!

[Ashley pops her head out of the water.]

ASHLEY: Leon!

[Leon helps her back onto the jetski.]

LEON: Come on. Let's go home.

ASHLEY: Sounds like a great idea. Mission accomplished! Right, 
Leon?

LEON: Not quite. I still have to get you home safe.

ASHLEY: So, after you take me back to my place, how about we do 
some...overtime?

LEON: Heh. Sorry.

ASHLEY: Somehow I knew you were going to say that, but it doesn't 
hurt to ask, you know. So, who was that woman anyway?

LEON: Why do you ask?

ASHLEY: Come on. Tell me.

LEON: She's like a part of me I can't let go. Let's leave it at 
that.

[The two ride off in the morning sun. Credits roll.]

HUNNIGAN: Forget the glasses. What's the status of the mission?

LEON: I've rescued the subject. We're returning home.

HUNNIGAN: You did it, Leon!

LEON: Thanks. You know, you're kinda cute without those glasses.
Gimme your number when I get back.

HUNNIGAN: May I remind you that you're still on duty?

LEON: Story of my life...
