Why was this FAQ created? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Unlike all the other Resident Evil games in the series this installment while a great and fun game in my opinion has some issues with the sound levels in which the music is so much louder than the voices of the characters its really hard to hear what they are saying. Most people just say put the subtitles on right WRONG while the subtitles help you understand what they are saying they do not reflect what the character is actually speaking and are briefer. So unless you have really good quality speakers that can go really loud so you can hear the voices you basically have to settle for the truncated subtitles. The prologue movie ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bruce MacGavin Narrating: Raccoon City, a mid-western town in the United States, was destroyed when a substance known as the t-virus leaked throughout the town. However, Umbrella, the corporation developing the virus, refused to abort the project, and once again the threat of biological terror was thrust upon the world. A large amount of t-virus was stolen three days ago when a terrorist group hit an Umbrella Lab in France. Yesterday, one of Umbrellas cruisers was hijacked and contaminated with the same virus. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- V. Intro Movie ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Morpheus has Bruce at gunpoint from behind his hands are raised) Morpheus: Why you American spies choose to use such ugly guns is still a mystery to me. Bruce: Morpheus (Bruce turns his head to see his face Morpheus signals him to toss his gun to the side he then butts him in the back of the head with his pistol) (Bruce gets up and turns to face him) Bruce: I think that cheap cologne you're wearing is going to your head. What do you plan to do with the t-virus? Morpheus: I'm afraid that's all the playtime you have for today you die. Now! (A mysterious women is shown on a higher deck above them pulling a pin from a grenade with her teeth and throws it down to the lower deck behind Morpheus) Bruce: Huh? (Bruce runs for cover and the grenade explodes Morpheus doesn't have time to run he struggles to stand after the explosion but staggers and falls to the ground) (Bruce runs for his gun he tossed on the deck and heads inside the ship) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- VI. Bruce Meets Fongling ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bruce: Five billion dollars!? (Fongling is shown in the shadows behind him) Man on Radio: Yes (long pause of static) we have until midnight tomorrow (pause of static) retrieve the virus from Morpheus and... (Fongling comes out and pins him to the wall by kicking him his radio falls to the floor below and breaks) Bruce: Wait Wait you saved me earlier you're Chinese security girl huh looks like we're in the same business. Fongling: Same business doesn't mean same side Bruce MacGavin. Bruce: You already know my name that makes sense since your blackmailing both of our governments. (Bruce pins her to the ground) Bruce: What's your name? If cooperation is too much to ask for on our first date. Might I suggest we simply say out of each other's way. (Fongling grabs his gun and points it to his neck) (Bruce begins to back off) Fongling: Fongling that's my name and I don't date freshman. If you really want to help then go home. (She holds both his gun and her gun now pointed at him she runs away dropping his gun) Bruce: Feisty ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- VII. Fongling steals the valve handle ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Bruce looks out a window in the ship when suddenly a huge hand comes through the window and pushes him against the wall) (The Valve Handle is flung across the room) (Fongling appears a the end of the hall and picks up the valve handle) Fongling: Should have left by now somewhere in America there's a kitten stuck in a tree desperately needing your help. Oh well thanks for the present. Bruce: Funny girl give me a hand. (Fongling walks away) Bruce: (shouts) Fongling! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- VIII. Opening the hatch ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Bruce approaches Fongling she already has the valve in the hatch and it unscrewing it) Bruce: Beauty and brains Fongling: And you are just brawn (The camera goes to Morpheus, which is in a control room) Morpheus: You will not destroy this for me (He hits a button which releases the shutters on the deck enhanced hunters are behind them) Bruce: Our party guests seem to have arrived. Hurry up, Fongling. Fongling: Enjoy your stay Bruce: Not again (The camera goes back to Morpheus he has a syringe in his hand obviously containing some kind of virus) Morpheus: I'll never die (He then injects himself and electrical field is seen around his body and he passes out) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- IX. Showdown with Morpheus ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Bruce hears footsteps) Bruce: Huh (He creeps up to the door where her hears them. Morpheus goes through the door and appears in front of him in a mutated form) (Morpheus hits him to the side and he fires Morpheus quickly picks him up by the neck) Morpheus: A scared little rat with an ugly useless gun. Bruce: Morpheus!? (He fires his gun at his head and he drops him) Morpheus: As I said useless ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- X. Meet up with Fongling ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Bruce runs through an open door and sees Fongling climbing a ladder in a small hallway he quickly shuts the door behind him, which Morpheus is pounding on. Fongling: What? Bruce: I'll explain later. Open this door from the inside! (Fongling climbs up the ladder above the doorway) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- XI. Unlock the door now ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Fongling barely is able to open the door Bruce lets go of the other door and gets behind Fongling quickly closing the other door and locking it) Fongling: How many times are you expecting me to save you, Mister? Bruce: Come on, what are friends for? I'm just tryin to help you build up you're confidence. Fongling: Don-gua Bruce: Don Fongling: Shhh (Fongling listens to the door to see if Morpheus is still there) Bruce: I think he's given up. (They both open the door) Bruce: Wait! Before you said "Don-Gua". What does that mean? Fongling: hmmmm... It means you are cool. (Fongling walks away down the hall) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- XII. Escaping From The Ship ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Bruce walks in the room Fongling is there) Bruce: That alarm can't be any good. Any idea what its for? Fongling: Look (The ship is about to hit a mountain) Bruce: Oh, no! (Bruce tries to steer the ship away but to no avail) Bruce: Darn it Fongling: We gotta get out of here. (Zombies begin to pour in from the door Bruce entered) Bruce: Go! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- XIII. Tyrant attacks Fongling ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (You see Fongling she is knocked over by the tyrant) Bruce: I'll distract the monster while you run after Morpheus. Fongling: Got it. Bruce: All right monster its payback time. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- XI. After the shipwreck ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Bruce dives off the ship and swims to shore the ship crashes into the mountain and explodes he then discovers upon getting to shore an old umbrella facility while exploring he notices electric charge coming from the base of a water tower which leads below ground with an umbrella logo on it he than says) Bruce: Morpheus ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- XIV. Bruce uses the radio ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Bruce finds an old radio and calls HQ) Man on Radio: They're gonna launch missiles carrying the t-virus at major cities across the United States. The Chinese are no longer in this with us. We've agreed to pay the five billion. Bruce: Then that would make Fonglings presence obsolete. Man on Radio: Fongling? Bruce have you had contact with Fongling. Bruce: Yes, but if China would choose to cooperate with Morpheus... Man on Radio: In any case the United States will not be threatened and we do not negotiate with terrorists. The safety of our nation is in your hands. Good Luck. Bruce: Fongling... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- XV. Bruce saves Fongling ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Fongling steps out onto a heliport and a laser scans her from the sky on a satellite and sends a heat blast laser toward her) Fongling: Bruce! (Bruce pushes her out of the way before it was too late they run for cover inside the building) (Bruce takes out his knife) Fongling: What are you doing!? (He looks at her tattoo and uses his knife to pry a microchip out of her arm the laser on the satellite shuts down. Bruce peeks through the blinds) Bruce: The government seems to care an awful lot about where you are. Not even their best agent, which makes you expendable. What are you going to do? Fongling: I'll continue my mission. Morpheus will live up to his end of the deal even if we pay but the people of China are still in danger. (Bruce begins to walk away) Fongling: Oh and since you saved me this time I think I should say thanks. Bruce: Don't mention it I'm a "Don-Gua", after all. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- XVI. Fight with the big monster ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (The camera shows a shadow of something) Bruce: Huh? (A huge monster hops down before him) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- XVII. Down the elevator ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Bruce checks to see if it's clear and steps into the elevator Fongling is right behind him) Bruce: The missiles are below this room. We don't have much time let's go. (Bruce hits the button for the elevator the doors close) (The elevator descends and Morpheus hops on top of the elevator. Bruce: Morpheus! (Morpheus grabs the elevator cables above him and cuts the cables below him the elevator falls downward) (Bruce activates the emergency break and the elevator stops they both work together to pry the doors open) (Bruce gives Fongling a boost so she can escape) Fongling: Bruce! (Fongling extends her hand into the elevator then the break on the elevator gives and the elevator falls with Bruce inside) Fongling: (her voice echoes down the elevator shaft) Bruce! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- XVIII. Fongling captured my Morpheus ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Fongling enters a room and sees a large screen a computerized voice speaks) Computer voice: Missile launch sequence has been activated. All personnel must evacuate the missile silo. (She turns around and sees Morpheus) (Then the cut scene takes us to Bruce the elevator has crashed at the bottom he gets up and leaves the elevator he stumbles but is able to walk) Bruce: Fongling... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- XIX. Bruce sees Fongling unconscious ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Bruce sees her unconscious on a monitor Morpheus is there too) Bruce: Fongling! Morpheus: Still alive? Some people just don't know when to let go. Bruce: You! Computerized Voice: The missile launching sequence is in the final stage. Morpheus: (laughs and destroys the camera) Bruce: I'll get you out of there. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- XX. Bruce defeats Morpheus ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Bruce sees Fongling) Morpheus (feminine voice): Bruce, shame on you Bruce a good agent would never risk his mission (his voice fades back to masculine) to save a woman. That's going to be a very costly mistake. Bruce: Keep dreaming. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- XXI. Bruce saves Fongling again ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bruce: Fongling! FONGLING! Fongling: Why did you save me? Your first priority should have been to disarm the missiles. Bruce: A "Don-Gua" never abandons a woman. Computerized Voice: Ten minutes till missile launch. Bruce: Damn It! Let's Go! Bruce: Its too complicated we'll never make it to the missile silo in time Fongling: I'll just watch on this monitor and navigate you through Bruce: All right lets do it. (Just as Bruce is going to the silo, Morpheus it getting up again and mutating) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- XXII. Bruce Finally Kills Morpheus ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bruce: Sorry, but my dance car is full. (Bruce fires the last shot, which kills Morpheus) (Morpheus' huge body inflates then erupts and the whole silo explodes) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- XXIII. Bruce and Fongling are OK ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (A pod emerges from beneath the water and opens) Bruce: Looks like we accomplished are mission. Fongling come with me to America there's nothing left for you in China. Fongling: No, I'm going home I belong to China. Bruce: "Don-Gua" I'm truly an idiot after all. Fongling: You know what it really means? Bruce: I've been in your country once. Fongling: That was not in your dossier. Dossier- a collection of papers giving detailed information about a particular person. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- XXIV.
