Introduction [INTRO] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This FAQ is a transcript of all responses from all characters to each greeting card. It also contains a transcript of the Promise card events for each character. It's organized by character because I feel that it allows you to get a better sense of the character by reading the emails one by one in order. However, if you want to see all the responses to a particular card, you can Ctrl + F the card's code, followed by the right bracket ], which will find all of that card for you. It's been about six years since my first FAQ and this is my first transcript- style FAQ. I've done my best to reproduce the exact formatting, spelling, punctuation, white space, and etc. of each email. I'm about 98% certain that everything is as it appears in-game (including their typos) but please let me know if you notice something different. I decided to do this because I was unsatisfied with having to cross-reference multiple FAQs for all the greeting card responses, as well as the lack of Promise transcripts. Very convenient, if you're a sucker for expanded backstory, like me. I've made a few best guesses for the content of the Azure Knights' responses but I'm stumped for most of them. If you have any plausible suggestions, email me. :) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 04. Format of the guide [FORMAT] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For each email with a chain, there are two possible replies. The character will respond based on your reply and you are given another choice of two replies. This new choice does not change based on your previous answers. What this means is that there are not "branching" chains. You'll notice that the two character responses are written such that both of Haseo's reply choices are plausible. A reply may or may not cause the character to increase in affection towards Haseo. This will be marked as "Affection +". Based on my testing, the amount of increase varies between replies but each reply has a set amount of increase. Very rarely, a reply will cause a decrease in affection. This is also a variable fixed amount. There are four emails in all email chains. The absolute maximum number for each card, by transferring between all three games, is given below. Of course, you could simply save them all (like me), but in case you were wondering, here is a table summarizing which cards will result in an email chain (marked by an x) when sent to which characters. Hopefully, this will be helpful in your planning. Of course, this is not to say that you'll find out the most interesting things about each character with those cards, merely that you'll get more emails from them. Ultimately, it's up to you to decide how to send your limited cards. Hello! and Promise are omitted because they never result in chains. What about you?" 10 times. * In Redemption, the line changes to "I'm 17 and in high school, but how old are you?" and is said 5 times. * Haseo repeats the line "I live in Tokyo. What about you?" 11 times. * Haseo repeats the line "You don't like flowers?" to Pi, Saku, and Bordeaux. * Alkaid (x2), Matsu, Yata (x2), Bordeaux, and Kaede (x2) are the only characters who can get affection decreases from cards. * "Leader" is the only greeting card where it is possible to send the card to all characters who will respond with email chains. * The most talkative characters, by total text size, are Kuhn, Gaspard, Atoli, and Shino. * The least talkative characters, besides the Azure Knights, are Piros and Zelkova. * Endrance is the only male character who gets a wedding ending and Natsume is the only female character who does not get a wedding ending. * Other characters interrupt Endrance's and Yata's promise endings. Bikman the NPC appears in the Azure Knights' endings. * There's a good bit of recycled dialogue and scripting in the promise endings. * Haseo says "I... I need you" to Silabus, Matsu, and Yata. * Haseo says "...What I sent you... ...wasn't a greeting card. It was my heart" to both Pi and Bordeaux. * Haseo says "I'll make you happy" to Alkaid, Bordeaux, and Kaede. * Haseo does the same jerky, twisting motion in the Azure Knights' and Natsume's endings. * Apparently, a lot of characters like to practice historical revisionism, considering the number of times Haseo's words or subject line get changed when it's being quoted in the response. :) * Shino is the most affectionate character, by number of affection increases, followed by Kuhn. Piros is the least affectionate. However, Piros has the highest ratio of affection increases to emails (all replies generate affection for him), while Saku has the lowest ratio. * Kaede is the only character who ends a chain prematurely if you select a certain reply. * Kaede's 3rd "Food" email is the same regardless of your reply. * Saku and Alkaid reference Sleeping Beauty in their promise endings. * Natsume is the only character besides the Azure Knights not to initiate an email chain with the "Flower Gift" card. * Haseo pretends he sent cards to the wrong people to Antares, Bordeaux, and possibly Kaede. * There are only 9 instances where neither reply will give you a positive affection response (Pi twice, Saku six times, and Bordeaux once). * Zelkova's "Vak" refers to Baku, a supernatural chimera-like creature from Japanese mythology which eats dreams.
