Introduction **************** This Demo/game is from Issue 79 of OPM (with LifeLine as the picture on the DvD). You take the role of FireFighter Dean Mcgregor. As you can guess by the name you fight fires in this game. I won't be telling you in every room to shoot water on this fire or that fire. I will mostly be telling you of fires that are fairly dangerous to your health (like the reddish fires that shoot flaming ashes/cinders at you or Boss Battles). I think you can manage fighting the other kind of fires on your own. For those that enjoyed this game and are interested in a game similar to this game. I can recommend you get a copy of Disaster Report. That is another good Disaster/Survival game. I do hope that more of these kinds of unique games (Like Diaster Report and FireFighter) are made. The only downside for this demo is the fact that you have to go into the item menu each time to change your main weapons you use. The full version uses the D-pad to change your main weapons which makes the game alot better. I mention this to warn those that may not have liked that (me included) that they did fix that at least. You do still need to use the item menu to use First aids, Drinks and Ammo for your Impulse gun. ************* III. Walkthrough *************** Intro Scene ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ( )( )( )( )( )( )( )( )( ) Stage 1: Tunnel (Mission 1) ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ( )( )( )( )( )( )( )( )( ) People to Rescue Total: 15 People to Rescue in this mission: 9 (Note: Learn the controls by following the instructions they show you on the screen. Just run up to a Survivor to save them. Use your radar map to help you locate the Survivors.) 1. Survivor number 1 you can't miss they are right in front of you at the trunk of the car. 2. Clear the fire on the right side of the car and head for the second Survivor along the wall to the right. Watch out for the falling ceiling. 3. Turn to your left you will see another fireman spraying water on a tanker. Clear the fire on the side of the tanker to get the third Survivor on the side of that tanker. 4. Straight ahead you will see the Fourth Survivor. When you go towards it a car will explode and flip over. Put out the fire between the car on your left and the car that just exploded. Head for the Fourth Survivor next to the school bus. YOu can go on the other side of the exploded car to get a drink just so you know. 5. Go towards the Fifth Survivor in front of you. From the front of the bus flames will shoot at you. Clear the fire in your way and head for the Fifth Survivor. 6. The Roof has collapsed and fire will start forming to your right. Clear the fire to your right and go up the stairs you find here. The Sixth Survivor is at the top of the stairs. 7. Go straight and clear the fire here. You will see a reddish flame start to your left and it will start shooting flaming cinders at you. Spray that fire until it is no longer red to make it stop. You will find a first aid kit along this path. Right after the first aid kit to your right is a door you will want to use in a little while. First go down the stairs to your left though. Clear the fire at the bottom of the stairs and get the Seventh Survivor to your right. Watch out for the falling ceiling. 8. Turn to your right you will see the Eighth Survivor behind some fire you can not extinguish. Run through the middle section of the fire quickly to only take temporary damage. 9. Go back up the stairs you came down and use that door that I mentioned earlier. Use R2 to crouch under the smoke to see easier and go down the stairs to your left. At the bottom of the stairs head to your right and clear a path to the ninth and final Survivor. Watch out for the burst of flames when you get near them. You will want to go between the two red glowing fires in your way/path. On a side note the Cell phone Lost item is in the opposite direction of where the final Survivor is. One other side note that I should mention is if you want a fire extinguisher you should head up the stairs on your right heading towards the final Survivor. ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ( )( )( )( )( )( )( )( )( ) Stage 1: Tunnel (Mission 2) ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ( )( )( )( )( )( )( )( )( ) People to Rescue in this mission: 4 1. Destroy the boxes in front of you with your Ax. Go down the stairs you find on the other side of those boxes. Clear the fire at the bottom of the stairs and go to the First Survivor to your right. If you want to get the Wallet Lost item at the bottom of the stair go left. The wallet is near the back of the car here on your left. 2. Go near the car that is to your right and watch out when it explodes. Make your way around the right side of the car and clear the fire here. The next Survivor is to your left along the wall. Go around to the left of the engine that falls through the ceiling to find this Second Survivor. 3. Clear the fire in front of you and look to your right you will see a reddish fire you will want to take care of (if you haven't already). Continue straight and go to your right some once you are past the fire blowing engine. You will see a car ahead of you it will explode (IF you are fast enough you can race that fire to that car and get the stuffed animal Lost Item). Go around to the right of it clearing a path to the Third Survivor. They are right after the car that exploded surrounded by fire. 4. Clear a path straight ahead and you will see a couple cars ahead of you. When you get near the second one it will explode and a reddish flame will appear that you will want to deal with. Once you have done that go around the right side of the car and get to the Fourth Survivor by clearing the fire surrounding them. ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ( )( )( )( )( )( )( )( )( ) Stage 1: Tunnel (Mission 3) ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ( )( )( )( )( )( )( )( )( ) People to Rescue in this mission: 2 1. Go to your left and clear the flames here. When you walk towards them a engine will fall from the ceiling. Go along the wall to the left of it to find the First Survivor. 2. Go to your right and clear the flames and oil puddles with your hose. Run past the engine flames when it subsides. Continue down the tunnel to your left. Scene 2a. Boss Battle: "Blaze" This boss is very easy just stay a good distance away from it and use your long distance nozzle to shoot at it. When it starts shooting flames at you change to the wide sprayer nozzle. Watch out for any fire that springs up behind you or too close to you. Just keep spraying it with the long distance sprayer and you should be fine. I do recommend using the Impulse water Cannon though since they give it to you in this demo version and not on the first mission of the full version of this game. Scene 2b. Most of the flames are now gone. Go around the cars to the right and quickly make your way to the end of the tunnel to save the final Survivor. Scene Congratulations you have now completed FIREFIGHTER F.D.18 Demo Version with all lost Items for the demo stage.
