Style: Xuande History: Liu Bei was the first ruler of the Shu-Han Kingdom.His goal was to restore the Han Dynasty. His sworn brothers were Guan Yu and Zhang Fei. He first started raising his army during the Yellow Turban rebellion along with Guan Yu and Zhang Fei. He was also a officer in theanti-alliance agaist Dong Zhuo. Later after the battle of Chi Bi Liu Zhang asks for reinforcements from Liu Bei to stop Zhang Lu from destroying his his request and moved his army to stop Zhang Lu. When Zhang Lu saw this he retreaded. For a while Liu Bei stayed in Liu Zhang's territory until he decieded that he needed his own land so he returns to his one little peice of land that he had and went to attack Liu Zhang. Despite losing Pang Tong he took control of all of Liu Zhang's land and with that had enough land to stand a chance to stand against Sun Quan and Cao Cao. Thereby starting the Three Kingdoms era. Just a couple of years later Guan Yu is executed along with Guan Ping his adoapted son by Sun Quan. This angers Liu Bei and Zhang Fei so muchthat he Liu Bei executed his adoapted son Liu Feng who didn't send reinforcements when Guan Yu asked him to. He also executed Mi Fang and Fu Shiren who joined the Wu forces in the middle of battle. But Zhang Fei lead to his own downfall... he took it out on his troops which angerd them so one night after Zhang Fei fell asleep (from being drunk)his troops killed him.This made Liu Bei twice as angry. And so he startedto ready his troops to face the Wu army. Before the battle of Yi Ling the armies engage in many skirmises all ending in victory for Wu. This puts great stress on Liu Bei. Then the two armies engage at Yi Ling the last battle between Shu and Wu since they become allies a little after this battle. Because of the young but smart Lu Xun, Wu is victorious. This puts major stress on Liu Bei. A little less than a year after Yi Ling Liu Bei dies of stress and illness at Yong An leaving all to Zhuge Liang. He dies at the age of sixty-two. This is what it says in the game: "The first Emperor of the Kingdom of Shu. Alon with his sworn brothers Guan Yu and Zhang Fei he participates in the campaign against the Yellow Turbans. After fighting in various battles he establishes the Shu Kingdom, signifying the beginning of the Three Kingdoms era. His aim was to restore the Han Dynasty, thereby bringing peace to the troubled land." --------------------------------- 3.Why should I use him? -------------------------------- You should use Liu Bei because first of all he is the funest of all the leaders to use that's what I think anyway. He has good beginning stats. He also has fun attacks. His mosou is good. His T (triangle) is cool even though it's hard to master. His swords are cool. Unlike the other leaders. And that's about it. In other words he fun to be. --------------- 4.Pros and Cons --------------- Pros: 1.Good Mosou 2.Good beginning stats except health 3.Not slow 4.Leader of every battle 5.SSSSST is really good at crowd clearing Cons: 1.His triangle is hard to do (even though it's cool looking) 2.Low beginning health --------------------- 5.Unlocking him --------------------- He is automaticaly unlocked in both DW4 and DW4:XL. ---------- 6.Costumes ---------- To unlock different costumes you must raise your regular experience! Comstume 1- His initial suit at the beginning. Costume 2- Most of the green turns to a lighter green and his hat is green,also his pants are white and his front shash is purple and his belt is also purple. Costume 3- Same as costume on except with a weird hat on, his hat is green and it has a round red ball like thing on it. Costume 4- Same as costume 2 but with the weird hat, his hat is light green and the ball is purplish-blue. Costume 5- His DW3 costume. Costume 6- His DW3 costume but arms and legs are black and his torso is dark green on the sides and light green in the middle, also his hat is green and he has a chinese symbol below his neck. I dont know what it means. -------------- 7.Combos -------------- T:He moves diagonally to one side and attacks from behind. You can move in a different direction if you control him but it's sortta hard to do that. ST:He just swings his sword upward into the air sending anyone sent flying into the air ( not high ). SST:He swings his sword diagonaly back and forth three times on the right and three times on the left. Then he swings it to the right and makes everyone who is in the way dizzy. SSST:He swings his sword vertically and sends anyone in the way flying backwards. SSSST:He swings his sword really far back behind him and swings his sword up sending them really high up into the air and then he jumps up and hits them back to the ground. SSSSST:He spins around swinging his sword once,making an energy wave thing and anyone who gets hit by it will fly back.(his BEST move!) Ground Slam: He sticks his sword down and slams the ground making anyone he hits fall to the ground. Jump attack: He attacks diaganoly down left. Horse attack: He strikes back and forth on each side. Horse charge attack: He attacks on one side then the other more powerful and faster than the regular attack. Horse Musou: More powerful and faster strikes. Musou: He slashes diagonaly on the left side then then swings far left then far right then far daiagonaly down right. True Musou: Same thing but with one more final three slash. -------------------- 8. Weapon Info. -------------------- Level 10 Weapon: Battle of Ru Nan Gold Moon Dragon Attack + 52 Meet up with Zhao Yun, get the cut sceen where he meets up with him. Then kill Li Dian. Then go inside the castle and kill Xiahou Yuan before Guan Yu appears. Then kill all of the officers before killing Cao Cao. Then you should have the weapon. NOTE: Make sure you are playing on Dynasty Warriors 4. Level 11 Weapon Liu Bei's Legend Stage King of Shu Attack + 60 Conditions: 1.Defeat all officers within 8:00 mins. 2.Cannot get cutsceen where Liu Bei kills peasants 3.It's okay to let officers go to base twice. DO NOT equip wind scroll because you will have a better chance of killing the peasants,also,your bodyguards can kill as many peasants as they want. Try to get the officers away from the peasants.Gate captains and thier bodyguards do not count as peasants. To get the cutsceen where Liu Bei kills the peasents you have to get ten K.O.s so be cautious. Two player can kill as many peasants as he/she wants. NOTE: Makesure you are playing DW:XL4. His weapon stats are: Tortoise Amulet Lv.19, Speed Scroll Lv.14, Horned Helm Lv.9, and SSS Lv.20 (he's really lucky!) ---------------------------------------- 9.What items you should equip ---------------------------------------- Harness: Hex Mark ( it makes more sense than Red Hare or Shadow Runner) Orbs: Vorpal- It's usefull when you use SSSSST,since it will probably kill some of the enemies with one blow.(recomended) Lightning- You can get enemies away from you easier,which is usefull since he doesn't have good crowd clearing moves. Ice- I use this on really hard levels like the Nanman Campaign, since it is easier to kill enemies when they are frozen. Items: Peacock Urn- He needs more health since it starts pretty low. Tiger Amulet- His attack is okay but you should still equip it. Dragon Amulet- His musou gets even better with this, you should equip it. Wind Scroll- His attacks are more better with this, escpecially his musou. Elixer- It would be best to have this since is musou is so good. ------------------------ 10.Liu Bei's legend mode ------------------------ Skirmish at Cheng Du: This is probably the shortest legend mode in the game. All you have to do is defeat the five officers with out killing too many peasants. Kill ten peasents and you'll get a cutscene where he'll kill some peasants. But if you kill fifty you will lose. Try getting the officers away from the peasant. Also it wouldn't be wise to use your SSSSST since it has a far range and it'll probably kill some peasants. In the middle of battle it'll say a officer is going a diferent direction, you don't have to worry about that. They will just return to their base and I'm not sure what happens when they do. It's happend to me but nothing happend. The good thing is that your bodyguards can kill as many peasants as they want. So baisicaly all you have to do is get the officers away from the peasants and kill them. This probably one of the easiest legend modes in the game. ----------------------------- 11.Frequently asked questions ----------------------------- Q: What's an easier way to get the peasents away? I keep getting the cutscene where he kills the peasents!
