He has gold wrist protectors, an almost hidden brown belt with a gold plate at the front of it, blue jeans and navy blue boots with gold tips. 2 – Palette swap. The navy blue shirt becomes dark green as so his boots. His jeans also become lighter. His scarf becomes paler. ------------ ------------ Syn Shenron – 1 – He doesn’t wear clothing, so here’s a description of his appearance. His body is mainly white. His stomach and sections of his neck are navy blue. He has one small black spike protruding out of his knees and a longer one coming out the back of each elbow. His horn shaped head has some navy blue visible underneath them and he has several huge black spikes coming out of his back. There is also a blue Dragonball on his forehead. When he transforms, he gains two tiny black spikes on his upper arms and there is a navy blue section on his lower body. The Dragonball from his head now joins the six on his chest. 2 – Palette swap. The white parts become a pale dark brown and the navy blue bits are a lighter, less pale brown. The Dragonball on his forehead is now golden. When transformed, the dragonballs on his chest become gold. ------------ ------------ Kid Goku – 1 – This is his outfit from Dragonball. He wears a red gi with a black belt with two pieces hanging down in front. He sports blue wrist bands and blue shoes with white socks. Tied to his back is the Power Pole. It is colored dark red. There are also two Turtle kanji’s on his costume – one on the front and a bigger one on the back. 2 – Not a palette swap! ...Kinda. It’s the blue gi we first see him in. It’s almost exactly the same as his costume 1, only he has no kanji and the outfit is blue. His socks are gone and his wrist bands are now maroon ones. His belt is white. ------------ ------------ Master Roshi – 1 – He sports an orange shirt with a white middle part. He also wears blue pants and black shoes. He wears red sunglasses with dark green lenses. 2 – Jackie Chun! His alternate costume is Jackie Chun and NOT a damn palette swap! The shirt is similar to costume 1’s shirt, but it has black and white coloring instead of orange and white and is folded up at the sleeves, revealing that it is white underneath. The pants are black, he has no sunglasses and he is wearing his grey wig. Oh yeah, and black shoes as well. ------------ ------------ Grandpa Gohan – 1 – He wears an orange and white shirt with a yellow ring pattern on it. His sleeves are black and rolled up at the end to reveal that the inside of the shirt is white. He wears black pants, black shoes and a black hat with a white bobble on top. He also sports a white foxes mask. Receiving enough damage removes the mask. 2 - Palette swap. The orange on the shirt becomes green. ------------ ================== Fusion Characters; ================== ------------ Vegetto – 1 – This was his only costume, considering that Vegetto was only present for a short time. He has what looks like Goku’s gi on, only the colors are reversed. The orange undershirt is orange, while the over shirt and pants are now blue. The sash is also blue. Vegetto also wears Vegeta’s white gloves and white boots with the yellow tips. Oh and he’s also got his Potara earrings on as well. 2 – Palette swap. The blue parts are now black. ------------ ------------ Gogeta – 1 – These are the traditional Fusion clothing that all fused warriors wear (if they have fused using the Fusion Dance). He has a small open black vest with large puffy orange shoulder pieces and a similar neck piece. He sports white pants with a blue sash and blue ankle wrappings. The belt has two pieces hanging off at his right side. He also wears black shoes, oh and long black wrist bands. 2 – Palette swap. The black part of the vest is green and the orange puffy parts and the blue sash and ankle coverings are now light yellow. ------------ ------------ Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta – 1 – This outfit is identical to the above Gogeta’s costume 1. 2 – An interesting palette swap we have here! Let’s start from the bottom shall we? The ankle wrappings are now yellow, the pants are black and the vest remains the same. The belt is dark yellow. Gogeta’s fur and skin tone are now much darker making him look like a black Super Saiyan. His hair is also silvery white. ------------ ------------ Gotenks – 1 – Being a warrior born of the Fusion Dance, Gotenks has exactly the same clothing as Gogeta. 2 – He also has the same palette swap as his fused fathers. This palette swap is the same as Super Saiyan 2 Gogeta’s and not super Saiyan 4 Gogeta’s. --------------- --------------- Kibitoshin – 1 – This is the fusion of Supreme Kai and Kibito. The costume is quite similar to Shin’s costume. Only that it has shoulder pads now. The baggy jumpsuit is darkish blue, the Kai garb is red, with dark yellow tips and the cloth is orange and now has more to it than Supreme Kai’s one had. The extra piece is hanging down in front. The boots are yellow. 2 – Palette swap. The red part becomes purple, the light blue part becomes even lighter and slightly green in color, the yellow boots become blue and the orange wrapping is now yellow. ------------ That’s it! That’s all the costumes and palette swaps in Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2! Now I can safely say that I have played as every single character in the game! ------------------- V) Frequently Asked Questions Ask me some questions and I’ll put them here. Just not how to unlock a certain costume, I’ve already stated that you just need to play through the story mode to unlock the outfits. ------------------- VI) Trivia - Vegetto’s palette swap seems to have been lifted straight from another Dragonball game called “Dragonball Final Bout” for the Playstation 1. - Whilst playing as Goku, who’s wearing costume 6, go Super Saiyan. Notice how his hair in this particular costume is now a really pale blonde color! This is the exact same hairstyle that he had in the Frieza saga. A nice little homage by Spike there. - Three characters in the game lose a part of their outfit after taking enough battle damage. Android 13 loses his cap, Roshi loses his sunglasses and Grandpa Gohan loses his fox mask. Let’s hope that Spike with make Gohan an alternate costume without the mask in Budokai Tenkaichi 3... - A very young Nick Kazama once made a Great Saiyaman costume for Halloween. It had the sunglasses and the little white bandana and everything. The only thing missing was the cape... ------------------- VII) Special Thanks - Akira Toriyama San for creating DBZ.
