Dead or Alive 2 Ultimate Tag Team Guide by: duhman0008 -------------------------------------------------------------------------- December 6 2004: Version 2.0 Making this Version 2.0 for two reasons -Added an extra Tag Team Attack for Tina + Bass (Thanks to Adam once again) -To remind everyone to read carefully what has already been written. I've received e-mails about additions that were already in this guide. Make sure you understood what is on this guide before e-mailing, read it 3 times if you have too. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Legal: Blablabla, I made this….. Bah this isn’t copywritten in the first place and I doubt that any Guide on GameFaqs is. Copywriting, AKA a patent, requires cash to protect your creation and hardly anyone would waste their hard earn money on a patent unless there’s profit to be made. Like anybody else who made a Guide here, all I can do is ask for you not to put it on your website unless you ask permission and that you do not modify it. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The purpose of this guide: Dead or Alive 2 for the Arcade introduced us to the DOA Tag Team mode that allowed to select two characters and switch between them. By pressing all three buttons at the same time, you can execute combos with your two characters. But there’s also two other things you can do in Tag Team mode: Tag Team Throws and Tag Team Attacks. Tag Team Throws do more damage then single character throws while Tag Team Attacks are even stronger. This guide will give you the list of the Tag Team Attacks that you can execute with all possible character pair ups. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Commands: Tag Team Throw: Backward + Free + Punch + Kick Tag Team Attack: Forward, Forward + Free + Punch + Kick -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Notes: -All character pair ups will perform Tag Team Throws. -Some character pair ups will do a two way Tag Team Attack, meaning that either character can start the Tag Team Attack and it will work. - Some character pair ups will only do a one way Tag Team Attack, meaning that only one character may start the Tag Team Attack. If the other character does it, it will result in a regular Tag Team Throw. -Any other character pair ups that are not listed will only do Tag Team Throws even after performing the Tag Team Attack command. -In the Tag Team Attack list, the character listed before the plus “+” is the one you need to start the command with for the Attack to take place. -A one (1) after the pair up means that the Tag Team Attack can only be performed one way while a two (2) means that it can be performed two ways. -All Story mode characters that are placed vertically (up and down) to each other are True Tag Teams (Kasumi and Hayabusa for example). They will always perform a two way Tag Team Attack. -Tengu Does not have any Tag Team Attacks, only Tag Team Throws. Being the case, I will not mention him/it again in this guide. -Hitomi and Bayman are not a True Tag Team, they are unlockable characters. Bayman and Leon have all of their Tag Team Attacks in common with the exception of a few. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tag Team Attacks: Kasumi + Hayabusa (2) Kasumi + Helena (2) Kasumi + Bass (2) Kasumi + Zack (1) Kasumi + Ayane (2) Kasumi + Ein (2) Kasumi + Hitomi (1) Hayabusa + Kasumi (2) Hayabusa + Gen Fu (2) Hayabusa + Helena (1) Hayabusa + Tina (2) Hayabusa + Bass (1) Hayabusa + Leon (2) Hayabusa + Jann Lee (2) Hayabusa + Ayane (2) Hayabusa + Ein (2) Hayabusa + Bayman (1) Gen Fu + Kasumi (1) Gen Fu + Hayabusa (2) Gen Fu + Helena (2) Gen Fu + Tina (1) Gen Fu + Zack (1) Gen Fu + Leon (2) Gen Fu + Lei Fang (1) Gen Fu + Ayane (1) Gen Fu + Bayman (2) Helena + Kasumi (2) Helena + Gen Fu (2) Helena + Lei Fang (2) Tina + Kasumi (1) Tina + Hayabusa (2) Tina + Bass (2) Tina + Bass (when facing opponent's back) (1) Tina + Zack (2) Tina + Leon (2) Tina + Lei Fang (2) Tina + Bayman (2) Bass + Kasumi (2) Bass + Gen Fu (1) Bass + Tina (2) Bass + Zack (2) Bass + Leon (2) Bass + Jann Lee (1) Bass + Ayane (1) Bass + Bayman (2) Zack + Hayabusa (1) Zack + Tina (2) Zack + Bass (2) Zack + Leon (2) Zack + Lei Fang (1) Zack + Bayman (2) Zack + Hitomi (2) Leon + Hayabusa (2) Leon + Gen Fu (2) Leon + Tina (2) Leon + Bass (2) Leon + Zack (2) Leon + Bayman (2) Jann Lee + Hayabusa (2) Jann Lee + Gen Fu (1) Jann Lee + Lei Fang (2) Jann Lee + Leon (1) Jann Lee + Ein (2) Jann Lee + Bayman (1) Leifang + Helena (2) Leifang + Tina (2) Leifang + Jann Lee (2) Leifang + Ein (1) Ayane + Kasumi (2) Ayane + Hayabusa (2) Ayane + Jann Lee (1) Ayane + Ein (2) Ein + Kasumi (2) Ein + Hayabusa (2) Ein + Bass (1) Ein + Zack (1) Ein + Jann Lee (2) Ein + Ayane (2) Ein + Hitomi (2) Hitomi + Zack (2) Hitomi + Ein (2) Bayman + Gen Fu (2) Bayman + Tina (2) Bayman + Bass (2) Bayman + Zack (2) Bayman + Leon (2) Bayman + Ein (1) -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Extra Tag Team Attacks: These attacks (which mostly involves Bass) are executed by doing an "Hadouken"/Fireball type movement: down, down-forward, forward + Free + Punch + Kick. The same order rules apply to these Tag Team Attacks: Bass + Tina Bass + Zack Bass + Bayman Bayman + Bass Tina + Bass Leon + Bass Leifang + Jann Lee Jann Lee + Ein -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tips: Generally, it is better to pair up characters that can perform a two way Tag Team Attack. In a worst case scenario, pair up characters that can only do a one way Tag Team Attack is better then choosing a pair that does not do a single one. Like when doing a regular throw, wait for your opponent to block before doing either a Tag Team Throw or Tag Team Attack. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Extra Intro and Finish Poses: Every True Tag Team has a special Intro (before the battle) and Finishing (after the battle) pose. Some other pair ups will also have a special Intro and/or Finishing pose. Hayabusa + Ein (Intro and Finishing) Helena + Leifang (Intro and Finishing ) Bass + Leon (Intro and Finishing) Bass + Bayman (Finishing) Tina + Zack (Intro and Finishing) Tina + Leifang (Finishing) Jann Lee + Ein (Finishing) Zack + Bayman (Intro and Finishing if Bayman makes the final blow) -------------------------------------------------------------------------- In Conclusion: -Thanks to Team Ninja and Tecmo for finally releasing this game :P -Yes, I do Love playing Tag Team -I’m a Saturn Dead or Alive veteran
