Suggestions about "What skills should I use?" V. Credits I. Introduction The Wood Elf Ranger is a master of the bow and arrow. His skills are based around the bow but has several unique skills. -------------------------- II. Ranger Skills Overview A short description will be provided along with the skill name. NOTE: I use the word "Ranks" frequently. A rank is the same thing as a skill point. Blunt Weapons: This skill increases the damage by blunt weapons (like a staff, Hammer, or Mace) by a Percentage with every rank put in. Slashing Weapons: This skill is the same as Blunt Weapons but brings up damage on Slashing weapons (like a sword, or axe) by a percentage with every rank you put in. Archery: Same as Blunt and Slashing but brings up your damage on your bow attacks. Critical Hit: An Aura surrounds you giving you a percent chance to have a critical hit (extra strong attack) for a limited amount of time. The more ranks, the bigger the aura, longer lasting aura, and the percent change to critical goes up as well. Multi Fire: This skill uses mana to fire several arrows at once at a reduced damage to hit more enemies, or hit one big enemy a lot of times. The more ranks put in, the higher more arrows you can fire goes up as well as the percentage of damage. Endurance: This skill allows you to carry more weight. The more ranks you put in, the more weight you can carry. Summon Arrows: Tired of buying or trying to find arrows? This skill allows you to summon arrows directly to your inventory for a small mana cost. The more ranks you invest, the more arrows you can summon. Cold Arrow: This ability allows you to fire a cold enchanted arrow at enemies for a mana cost. The more ranks invested, more cold damage added, faster arrow speed and a longer freeze time. Fire Arrow: Same as cold damage but instead of freezing the target you have a radius for the fire damage. Regeneration: Increases how quickly your mana will go up. More ranks gives a higher percent of mana regeneration. Entangle: This ability allows you to make the enemy stop moving around. More ranks means more enemies can be affeced, the duration of them being stopped and the percent chance of it actually working. Poison Arrow: Just like Fire and Cold arrow but has a poison cloud radius, which will poison the enemy. Explode Arrow: Shoots an arrow that when it hits a target, explodes. (wow, didnt see that comming did ya?) More ranks equals more damage, the radius of the explosion will increase, and the speed of the arrow will go up as well. Minor Healing: NOTE: THIS SKILL ONLY LETS YOU HEAL YOURSELF. As you put in more ranks, the percentage of health you will recover goes up. Light Quiver: Reduces the weight of all the arrows you are carrying by a percent. The more ranks, the lighter the arrows will become. Dual Wield: This allows you to use 2 weapons, 1 in each hand at an increase percent, which will go up as you invest ranks into it. Penetrating Arrows: This skill gives an arrow you fire a chance to go directly through a monster, or shield. More ranks invested, the higher the percents will be. -------------------------- III. Suggestions about "What skills should I use?" Ok now, my answer to this question is simple: Do what you want and what will make it fun for you. If I did the math correctly, you can max all but 1 skill, which you will have 11 ranks in. Thats if you level to 80 and do the bonus stages. If you want my personal opinion on what skills to use: I Do Critical with multi fire and dual wield. I also brought up my archery, slashing penertrating arrows and light quiver. Stat wise, id do a little bit of dexterity and a lot of strength to carry figurines. -------------------------- V. Credits First of all I would like to thank GameFAQs for posting this.
