Version II (April 2006): Now I have found the last golden laurel in Helvetia and added it in the FAQ. You can find the laurel at the end of stage 2 in Helvetia. I have also made a new section called “IX) Golden Laurels” and in this section I have assembled all laurels from every level to make them easier to find. I have also changed some flaws. ############################ ## (II) Introduction (II) ## ############################ Since there is not even one completed FAQ/Walkthrough for Asterix & Obelix XXL I decided to create one. This is a great game and I really hope it will be released in the USA. What I know isn’t Asterix and Obelix so familiar in American homes. ########################### ## (III) The Story (III) ## ########################### Caesar and his elite troops have pulled off the impossible! Taking advantage of a sudden spring storm and the absence of our two heroes, the Romans invaded the indomitable Gaulish village. Everybody is now Ceasar’s prisoner! The Romans have also seized a cauldron full of Magic Potion that Getafix was busy brewing. While the cauldron is on its way to Rome, the Gaulish prisoners have been split up and scattered across the provinces of the Roman Empire. Upon their return to the village, Asterix and Obelix quickly learn what has happened. Without a moment’s wait, they set off in search of their friends. ########################## ## (IV) Characters (IV) ## ########################## Asterix – Asterix is the smaller one of our two heroes. He and Obelix have one basic attack (the bash), but they can progress quickly and learn new ways of massacring Romans, Combos. Obelix – Obelix is big and heavy. He has long hair and is characterized by his blue and white trousers. He is in deep love in Panacea. Dogmatix – The fellow little dog that bites Romans in their backs which makes them looses their weapons. Getafix – The druid who makes the Magic Potion. Sleeping Druids – Bash them and you can save your game. Pedlar – This is the only shop where you can buy Combos, life shields, life points and other great stuff. Fulliomatrix – A villager held prisoner in Normandy. Unhygienix – A villager held prisoner in Normandy. He doesn’t smell flowers... Geriatrix – A villager held prisoner in Athens. Panacea – A beautiful lady villager held prisoner in Athens. Cacofonix – The village musician with no sense of rhythm or taste, held prisoner in Egypt. The Porters – Vitalstatistix’s nameless porters. Vitalstatistix – The leader of the village held prisoner in Rome. ###################### ## (V) Controls (V) ## ###################### Note: These controls are exclusively for the Gamecube controller. |--------------------------|----------------------------------------------| | COMMAND | ACTIONS | |--------------------------|----------------------------------------------| | + Control Pad | Change selection in menus and Great Map | |--------------------------|----------------------------------------------| | C Stick | Camera | |--------------------------|----------------------------------------------| | L Button | 1st: Whistle to (Asterix or Obelix depending | | | on who you are) to and grab a Roman | | | 2nd: Whistle to (Asterix or Obelix depending | | | on who you are) to launch the Roman | | | Subjective view | |--------------------------|----------------------------------------------| | R Button | Launch Dogmatix | |--------------------------|----------------------------------------------| | Z Button | View Score, Life Points & Laurels collected | |--------------------------|----------------------------------------------| | B Button + A Button | Smash a Roman | |--------------------------|----------------------------------------------| | B Button [hold down] | Jump | |--------------------------|----------------------------------------------| | B Button [press twice] | Large jump (double jump) | |--------------------------|----------------------------------------------| | B Button [press 3 times] | Triple jump (Asterix under the effect of a | | | magic potion) | |--------------------------|----------------------------------------------| | Y Button | Grab a Roman | |--------------------------|----------------------------------------------| | X Button | Pushing enemies | |--------------------------|----------------------------------------------| | A Button | Bash (if no other specific action is viewed) | |--------------------------|----------------------------------------------| | A Button (if the Action | Push, Pull, Speak, Climb, Grab, Save and use | | button is viewed) | objects | |--------------------------|----------------------------------------------| | Start/Pause (START) | Pause | |--------------------------|----------------------------------------------| ###################### ## (VI) Combos (VI) ## ###################### After you have bashed a lot of Romans in a row, your energy gauge rises and when it reaches it top you can use a COMBO. You can only use ONE combo each time the energy gauge reaches its top. After that you’ll have to start over again. The only way to achieve combos is to pay a visit to Pedlar. ¤ Dogmatix: DOGMATIX UPGRADE R Button Dogmatix can be launched quicker and further so that he can disarm more Romans before he returns. ¤ Asterix-Obelix: CLUB Run into the enemy to be seized. B, B, A, Y Buttons. Romans can be used as a club to strike the ground (or any other Romans in proximity) for the next three times you press the B Button. Striking the ground generates a shock wave that disarms any Romans nearby. On the sixth impact the Roman is ejected. When Asterix is under the effect of Magic Potion, the effects are increased. ¤ Asterix-Obelix: POWER-HAMMER Run into the enemy to be seized. B, Y, A Buttons. A Roman can be used as a power-hammer, the impact of which causes nearby enemies to be disarmed and retreat. A Double Jump wielding a Roman generates a more violent impact. ¤ Asterix: MOLE B, B, X, Y Buttons. This combo is designed to eliminate a column of Roman troops in “tortoise” formation. After a Double Jump, Asterix spins round and makes a swallow dive before burrowing into the ground at high speed. This triggers an earthquake that disarms all enemies near the impact zone. Asterix reappears shooting out of the ground skywards like a rocket. ¤ Asterix-Obelix: TWISTER B, A, Y, X Buttons. Asterix and Obelix are both transformed into tornadoes for several seconds. The tornado sucks enemies in by launching electric arcs as it gains speed. ¤ Asterix-Obelix: TWISTER FUSION Press the A Button when the tornadoes are close together and linked by an electric arc. The Twister Fusion is more powerful than the twister… ####################### ## (VII) Items (VII) ## ####################### ¤ Shields – The shields are your life. You have 3 shields, but can buy more from the pedlar. Maximum amounts of shields are 6. Each shield contains 5 life points. ¤ The Leg o’ boar – Those juicy pieces of meat replenishes your Life Points. ¤ Roman Helmets – You don’t need money here; you need Roman Helmets! To collect Roman Helmets you simply have to pass over them, but to achieve those helmets you’ll have to defeat some Romans, bash some boxes or simply find them on your way to Rome. Roman Helmets can be both blue and golden. Golden helmets are worth more than ordinary blue ones. ¤ Roman Helmets multiplier - This is a bonus. The number show you how many helmets you can multiply, this last several seconds. The numbers can be 3X or 10X. ¤ Magic Potion - Only Asterix can collect Magic Potion which make him extraordinary strong. Obelix cannot drink the Magic Potion because he drank a whole pot of potion when he was young. If Asterix is already under the effect of Magic Potion, and he comes into contact with another gourd, an enormous shock wave is created that eliminates all Romans in proximity. ¤ Locks – You will sometimes encounter locks. To unlock them you will need to defeat the number of Romans indicated. ############################### ## (VIII) Walkthrough (VIII) ## ############################### ****************** ** (A) Gaul (A) ** ****************** 2 Stages 5 Golden Laurels – Marked with ***Golden Laurels*** The golden laurels can be used in the “Extra” menu later on in the game (check “IX) Golden Laurels” and “X) Extra & Gallery”). ----------- | STAGE 1 | ----------- You will see an intro film where you can see that the village is set on fire. Follow the path to the man standing just in front of the village. He will talk to you and he is upset. Ceasar had used him as a spy, but he fired him. The former spy says he will help you and tell you about secrets of the Roman Empire. He wants you to collect at least 30 helmets in the village before he starts helping you. There are 54 helmets in the village, so you shouldn’t have any problems to collect 30 of them. Kill all of the Romans to get their helmets and bash all boxes you see and go into any house if you can and climb up to the tree house. Look at the waterfall too. When you have collected 30 helmets you should go and see the former spy again. He will now open up the path for you and tell you that the villagers have been sent away. Push the granite block forward by pushing and holding the A button to reach the wall, jump over it. When you have jumped off the wall you should start going to the left and collect the helmets and the 3X multiplier on the war machine. Then start kicking some Romans butt! After all Romans are defeated, bash all boxes around you. Bash the wild boars if you need more life points. Pull the granite block to open up a new path. In the dungeon you will find the spy again and he will now tell you about the 51 golden laurels that are hidden throughout the Roman Empire. There are 5 laurels in Gaul and the first one is in the cave just in front of you. He tells you to try to find all ***Golden Laurels*** and if you do so you will be handsomely rewarded. Bash all boxes you see in the dungeon and then head out to the forest. Bash the boxes on the edge first and then continue down to the spy again. This time you will learn how important an extinguished torch can be. Pick the torch up and light it by place it over the fire and push A. Go to the other side of the bridge and light the gun barrel. It will blow up a new path for you. Bash all the boxes and collect helmets you see and then continue your new path. You will now team up with Obelix and it is time to bash some Romans again! Take the path to the right and bash all Romans on the beach. When you have done that you should swim out and take the helmets in the water around the spy, then go talk to him. Your Gaulish friends have been sent in boats and one of them were sailing northwards but unfortunately he didn’t know where the other one was sailing. He also saw a druid in cage captured by Roman soldiers. He now tells you to go searching after them, but first search the beach for helmets and other good items. You have a 3X multiplier in one of the boxes on the edge of the left side. Grab all helmets on the left side and go towards the right side. Bash all boxes and follow the path and you will find a cave. Bash the 4 boxes that are inside and you will find a ***Golden Laurel*** hidden behind those boxes. Back to the forest now! Go forward and bash the druid and save the game if you want to. ----------- | STAGE 2 | ----------- Continue the path and the spy will stand there along with Dogmatix. He will teach you how to use Dogmatix in combat. Follow the path and bash the boxes and the wild boar if you need more life points. Jump up on the boxes to reach some helmets in the sky. Once again the spy wants to talk to you again. This time he shows you how to use the Maximus Repeating Cannon. But before you can use the cannon you will have to defeat 70 Romans. Now you see a lot of Romans with their shields turn against the sky and against you and they bash their spears against you if you try to hit them. Run forward and take the Magic Potion bottle and run into the horde of Roman soldiers. Now you can bash them without having any fear of their spears. You can defeat the horde without the Magic Potion, but it will be much harder. You must wait until they have their spears pointing to the sky before you can bash them without taking any damage. After around 10 hits they will explode and a massive amounts of helmets rain over you. There are another Magic Potion on the field too if you need some extra help bashing the Romans. After you have defeated all 70 Romans I suggest you to go into the smaller building with a large opening and collect the helmets that are in there. From the path you first came from you can see some boxes to the left. Bash them and you will find three 3X and multiply every helmet with 9. Bash some wild boars if needed and then start using the Maximus Repeating Cannon. There is also a 10X multiplier, but to reach that one you will have to do a triple jump and to do a triple jump you must have recently taken a Magic Potion. The 10X is to the left from the cannon high in the air. To the right of the cannon you have 3 more 3X and along with the 10X you now receive 19 helmets per helmet! Take Asterix through the opening to the right and the spy will talk to you again and he say you shouldn’t worry about Obelix because there is another way to unlock for him. Here you have an awesome opportunity to get some cheap helmets. On the right you can see some boxes; in those boxes are multipliers worth 30X! Take them and move as quickly as possible to the place where you left Obelix and bash all boxes and grab every helmet there. After you have blasted the barricade you could smash some boxes to the left and then walk the path up and get the ***Golden Laurel***. Go down again and enter the little opening with Asterix to the right from where you first entered the building. Climb the stairs up and bash the little button on the wall in front of you to use the elevator to get up. The boxes you see are iron boxes and only Obelix can break them. Asterix can break them too if he takes a Magic Potion. The spy will also tell you this and that the cannon can break the boxes too, but he isn’t sure about that. He also says that Asterix and Obelix can switch places by going to a blue lighted circle. Now you can control Obelix! The first boxes you see contains golden helmets and 2 10X multipliers. Smash every single box you see! Out in the fresh air again. Break the boxes and take all helmets and leg o’ boars. One strange box will be left, bash it and you will see the pedlar. You should at least have collected 3500 helmets by now. Buy the Power Hammer Combo. Learn how to use the combo (see section VI) Combos) and go bash some Romans! Look at both sides of the path for boxes and break them to collect some more helmets. While you have reached the river you should follow the river to the left side and there you will find a ***Golden Laurel*** and some boxes containing both blue and golden helmets. Continue the path and switch back to Asterix at the end of it in the new blue circle. You have found the druid Getafix! He will tell you about how the Roman attack of their village happened. He will also tell you about the Great Map that Ceasar broke to remain the location of the Gaulish villagers a secret and that the villagers managed to get one piece each of the map and Getafix will now give you the first one over Normandy where Fulliomatix and Unhygienix is captured. It took me some time to discover where the 5th ***Golden Laurel*** was, but then I remembered that there were some iron boxes in the absolute beginning of the game and I went back to this area and when I arrived I played as Obelix and when I bashed those iron boxes to the far right I got 5 10X multipliers and both golden and blue helmets in the boxes in the middle of the path. And to the left you can see a platform in the cliff and if you go nearer you will see it is a stair. Go up and break the last boxes to the cave entrance and get the last laurel. ********************** ** (B) Normandy (B) ** ********************** 6 Stages 11 Golden Laurels ----------- | STAGE 1 | ----------- Welcome to a snowy and cold Normandy! The first task for you to solve is bash all secret buttons so they can turn from red to green. The first button is on the pole in front of you and the second one is on the back of the boat, so let’s give them a cold swim! When you have pushed the other button the cage whit a ***Golden Laurel*** appears. Follow the edge on the left side to pick up some golden and blue helmets and on the other side some boxes containing blue helmets. The spy is here! What a surprise! Now he teaches you how to use the manual cableway. Just place Asterix on top of it and Obelix underneath and press and hold A to move Asterix. Also he told that some prisoners were landed there not long ago. First let’s bash some Romans. This time when the Romans has gathered together you cannot wait for them to pull their spears upwards, you’ll have to jump over them into the middle and then bash them while they have their spears pointed at another direction. They are dead meat now! After you have defeated the horde of Romans you just defeat the rest of them. Now it’s time for you to use the cableway. When Asterix is up you pull the lever to open the door on the other side of the camp. Then continue through the little cave and bash the 2 red buttons so they become green and then stand on the grey spot in front of the “thing” and then you will receive helmets like you haven’t seen before! Climb every tent and house and bash every box you can see to get helmets. There is a new shield in a little cave near the top of the first tent from where you first came. Jump from the top of the tents to reach a 10X and a 3X. Break all iron boxes with Obelix while Asterix is on the cableway and there you will get even one more 10X which gives you 23 helmets per blue helmet and 230 (!) for every golden helmet. Now move out through the open door and bash the red button behind the wall before the hill. Then let Asterix run into the elastic band and release him towards the hill in front of you. It might be a little tricky this, but be sure to aim right and it will go fine. The secret is actually not to aim at all. If you don’t move the joystick he will run up by himself. Bash the 2 remaining red buttons and stand on the grey spot and you will be rewarded with another ***Golden Laurel***. Outside the cave is our friend the pedlar. If you have collected 17500 helmets you can buy a new combo but I don’t think you have so just skip him. Grab all helmets and bash all boxes around the pedlar and then go visit the spy. He tells you that the huge platform actually is a Roman lift. Defeat the Romans to make it rise. Take the torch and lit it. Let Asterix go to the blue circle and then bash his way up with Obelix by bashing the cogwheel. Lit the fireplace up there and defeat the Romans. Jump down and collect the helmets and multiplier. Do the same thing again with Obelix. Now you continue the path and defeat the Roman. Go up lit the torch and blast the door. Take Obelix with you now and now you control him. Bash the iron boxes and continue through the cave. Now you control Asterix again. Bash the Romans and save by hitting the sleeping druid. ----------- | STAGE 2 | ----------- Here you must defeat the 40 barbarians to unlock the fireplace. Before you go in to the fight I strongly suggest you to break some boxes because there are several Magic Potions in those boxes. Also break the iron boxes while you have the super power to get some golden helmets and multipliers. Bash every box to collect as many helmets as possible. After defeating the 40 barbarians light the torch and then set the gun barrel on fire. It will blow up the snowy wall and you now have a new passage. You will now see the spy again. He wants you to collect 2000 helmets during your way down the slope. Good luck! Your price is a ***Golden Laurel***. Go to the right and collect it. If you go to the right from the laurel you must look out for the icy balls and then bash the single Roman there. Push the red button on the wall to the left to make it change to green. From the button you can see 4 high pillars of boxes. Bash one down with Obelix, but not to the ground! Bash it so you can stand upon it. Then bash another pillar so you can jump from your first pillar to your second and last to the third. Then jump out to the slope and collect 3 10X and you will now multiply ever helmet with 30! Yay! When you have slide your way down I suggest you to bash the iron boxes with Obelix to get some more golden helmets. Continue along with the other wall and bash the first button. Jump up on the next platform and defeat the 2 Romans. Bash the button there. Left from there you can see some iron boxes. Bash them and you will get some golden and blue helmets along with a 10X multiplier. Continue the path and defeat the 3 Roman formations by jumping in the middle of the circle. Smash them to heaven! Smash the boxes there and turn back. Now you should be able to see a new red button on the icy wall to the right. Press it and go back to the grey spot. Now the big icy ball will roll down and destroy the pile of snow. You have now found a new ***Golden Laurel***! If you want to, you can ride down the slope again by using the catapult near the grey spot. Otherwise continue your way on the path through the mountain. You will now play as Asterix again. Bash the Romans and collect all their helmets. Follow the tiny path to the left to get some more helmets. To the right in the water you have a new shield. Take the torch and then bash the 2 Romans. Go into the only open cave and light the torch. This might cause you some trouble because you have to let your torch burning. Wait until the wind has calmed down and run to the opening to the right where the helmets are. Then run to the left and light the fireplace there. Run to the right to hide from the wind again and then continue to the right and light the fireplace over there. Bash the Romans! After you have defeated your enemies go back to the fireplace and go to the left from it and break the boxes to get 3 3X multipliers. Now bash all the boxes you see and grab every helmet you can. Light your torch again and continue the path through the cave but beware of the strong winds. Wait until the wind has calmed down and run like never before and light the fireplace further in the cave. Don’t bother the Romans until the fireplace has been lit, then bash them. Break the boxes also. Light your torch once again and run when the wind has calmed down and light the fireplace near Obelix. Now it’s time to blow the sealed entrance. Light the gun barrel and BANG! You are free! Light the torch again and run outside to the left. Blow up the gun barrel there and pull the lever to eject a bridge. Go to the bridge and if you want some helmets you should jump out on the little cliff and bash the boxes there to get 2 3X multipliers and then jump out to the other cliff to get some more helmets. Continue over the bridge and bash the boxes near the entrance. Defeat the 4 Romans to unlock the catapult. You see the gun barrels on the cliff to the right, huh? Run back and light the torch but this time you will have to be very quick. Run back and light the gun barrel on the ground near the catapult. You will see a movie clip when the barrel has blown and every barrel on the mountain will blow and so even the pile of rocks. You have now found yet another ***Golden Laurel***. Go get it! Then activate the catapult. Now you must defeat 60 Roman soldiers to unlock the lever. You know how to bash them and how to break the big Roman formation. Pull the lever down when they are all defeated. Before you go into the newly opened path I suggest you to go and find all helmets you can and grab the 2 shields. One shield is upon a tent and the other one is behind one of the watchtowers. Save if you want to (hit the sleeping druid). ----------- | STAGE 3 | ----------- Go into the cave and let Asterix climb up to the cableway. Now take Obelix and bash all boxes to take some helmets and multipliers. If you break all boxes including the iron boxes you should have multipliers worth 55 helmets per ordinary blue helmet and 550 for every golden helmet! Behind those iron boxes is a button. Press it and a bridge will appear over you. Now it’s time for Obelix to pull Asterix to the other side of the cave with the cableway. Light the torch and run upwards the bridge and collect the ***Golden Laurel***. Jump down and run quickly to the gun barrel and blow it up. Go out through the gate and talk to the spy. He says there is a double- locked door which you cannot enter yet. You must first collect 750 helmets. Move forward and bash some Romans. You will now encounter a new Roman formation, but you can’t jump into the middle this time because they have spears there. They won’t point their spears upwards either so you can’t defeat them yet. But move forward to the great wall and there you see a Maximus Repeating Cannon. Horray! Now, shoot everyone you see! If you hold the button too long the cannon will start shooting upwards. The helmets will disappear if you don’t go and pick them up, so do not wait too long before you collect them. To speed up the battle you should break the boxes to get multipliers and jump on the roofs of the tents because there are 2 10X multipliers on one side and on the other 2 3X multipliers. When you are finished go and talk to the spy again. He will open up a new way for you. He also tells you that some of the villagers were transported this way. Go inside the cave and bash the Romans inside. When you are out of the cave you can go and save if you want. Go immediately to the right when you are out of the cave to see the sleeping druid. Hit him to save. ----------- | STAGE 4 | ----------- Start here by letting Asterix light the torch. You will now only use Obelix. Destroy the iron boxes and grab all helmets in there. There are also a 10X multiplier there. Jump upon the machine and it will bounce you up to another platform. Pull the lever down and you now control Asterix again. Run with the torch as fast as you can and run over the bridge. Then jump up into the boat and then out to the platform where the fireplace is. Light it. Then jump back to the ship again and then out to the platform from the back of the ship. The fireplace will now be locked and to unlock it you will have to defeat the 4 barbarians on the ship and the 2 Roman archers on each side of the boat. Defeat the archers first. When you have unlocked the fireplace you go back and light the torch again. Bring the torch on fire to the other fireplace and light it too. Move Asterix into the blue circle and you control Obelix again. Jump on the machine and it will bounce you to the next platform. Bash the cogwheel overthere so Asterix can jump out and grab the rope. When Asterix has grabbed the rope you just bash the cogwheel again to get him to the other side. Now run with Obelix and jump on the machine again and it will bounce you to another platform. Pull the lever down to eject a bridge. Now you control Asterix again. Run over the bridge and light the fireplace. Jump into the ship and bash the barbarians, then jump out from it and bash the Romans. Run back and light the torch. Get your ass quickly to the gun barrel and blow it. But before you discover your new path I suggest you do some things before that. You see the island with many rocks and many helmets? Swim over there, but don’t grab any helmets. Why? Bash the boxes instead and you will get 3 3X multipliers and now move quickly up to the little rock in front of you. Now you can reach the 10X multiplier on the top of the rock. Now grab as many helmets you can! After you have done that there is just one thing left to do here. Go back from where you last saved or where you entered this harbour. Swim out to the left side of the river. There you should be able to see an elevator and some buttons. Bash those buttons. But there is a catch. You must hit all 3 buttons as the elevator goes up in right order. When you have done that you have collected another ***Golden Laurel***. Now leave the harbour through the cave. Defeat the 2 barbarians and then let Asterix use the cableway. Push the lever on the right side to eject a bridge. Now you’ll play as Obelix. When you have crossed the bridge with Obelix and Idefix you can see a cave to the left, but you can’t get it in yet. Go to the right and you can see Asterix standing on the platform above you. Pull out the 2 giant rocks out of the mountain and then you will see the red light turning green on the ground when you have pulled them out. Go back to the cave entrance because now it is open. Defeat the barbarians inside the cave and take the ***Golden Laurel*** further in. Continue up over the 2 big rocks and jump over the wall. You will land on a catapult so don’t press A too quickly. Defeat the 20 Romans to unlock the grey spot. There are 19 Romans on the ground and one in a mountain cave. He is an archer so I suggest you to be careful. Just place Asterix in the blue circle and you control Obelix again. Bash the cogwheel with Obelix so Asterix can reach the archer. Up there is also a box and several golden and blue helmets. Break the box first to get 7 3X multipliers. Then take all the helmets and the shield. On the largest pillar of boxes is a 10X multiplier so bash the second pillar down a little bit so you can jump on top of it and reach the multiplier. There are also 2 10X multipliers in the iron boxes and remember that you can only break them with Obelix, so Asterix must stand in the blue circle. Break all boxes and then go to the grey spot and stand on it to release the metal ball. It will break the wall and open up a new path for you. Go into the cave and go through the thin passage with Asterix. Pick up the torch and then push the button to open up the entrance for Obelix. Obelix must pull the lever down to open the path for Asterix, but first he has to defeat 4 enemies. When Asterix path is open, light the torch and blow the rocks away. Continue through the cave. You see the big war machine? The only way to defeat it is to bash it on the sides where it has its arms attached to the main body. After its arms are gone you just bash it until it goes down. That is 1 of 30 enemies you have to defeat here. After all enemies are gone move back to the cave you just came from. There are many iron boxes there and a Magic Potion. Stand on the regular boxes and jump up to take the Magic Potion. Now you bash all the iron boxes and what you get is 7 10X (!!!!!) multipliers and a lot of golden helmets. Behind the tent near the water you will find some more Magic Potion and even more iron boxes. There is also a Magic Potion on the right side of the catapult which you can reach with a triple jump when you have just taken a Magic Potion. Try the lottery as well near the cave. Bash the cogwheel and see what you win! You can do that several times. Then use the catapult to reach another part of Normandy. Go and save if you like to first. ----------- | STAGE 5 | ----------- To the left you can see a Golden Laurel, but to reach it you must have Magic Potion. But unfortunately there is no Magic Potion near it. Leave it for a while. Go up through the cave to the right of the sleeping druid. Continue all the way to the top and grab the torch. Up there you will find yet another cave which contains 2 barbarians, a fireplace and 2 golden helmets. Defeat your enemies, grab the helmets and light your torch. Now, run back down to the sleeping druid and light the gun barrel. Now it is time to focus on the Golden Laurel. You can see 4 red lights and a grey spot which means that you will have to find 4 red buttons that you must turn to green. The first one is out in the water behind the big rock. Another button is on the right placed on the cliff. To the left of that one there is also another big rock in the water. Behind it is another red button. The last button is on the backside of the rock where the laurel is. Get back to the grey spot and see what happens. Whoa, a Magic Potion! Get out in the water and do a triple jump to grab the ***Golden Laurel***. Then you can go back to the grey spot and get another Magic Potion. Then you should bash all iron boxes you see. There are some iron boxes on the plateau to the right of the druid too. There are 2 10X multipliers downstairs and 2 10X multipliers upstairs. Continue through the cave you opened before. Go forward and push the granite block into the mountain so you will have somewhere to hide from the strong wind. Before you light the torch you should go down and defeat the barbarians and push the other granite block into the mountain if you want to. Then go back and light the torch. You have to a double jump to make your way over the gap. Run with your torch and light the fireplace where the barbarians were. Use the same strategy to the other way too. This you should just blow the gun barrel. Then get yourself out of the cave and enter yet another Roman camp. Go to the left from the cave entrance and bash the barbarians. In front of the houses there you can see red lights. To turn them green you will have to go inside and bush the button inside the house. Bash everything around to get helmets and look behind the houses too. The 2 remaining houses are to the right. One is near another cave entrance and the other one is turned against the ice. When all 4 buttons are green you go back to the area where you defeated the barbarians. Up on the plateau is the grey spot. Stand on it and get a HUGE NUMBER of GOLDEN HELMETS! Now go to the first watchtower. On the left side of it you can see a button. Press it and you will find out that it is an elevator. Look forward up there and you can see a blue circle. Jump into it and you now control Obelix. Behind and in front of the tower Asterix is on top of is a handle. Go near it and press A to push or pull the tower. Move it till you cannot move it anymore. Then go and get the other watchtower. When it is close to the one Asterix is on top of he will jump over to the next one. Then move this tower again. It will come some Romans, but they are no match for you now. On the last tower Asterix will be waiting to get the rope. How will you get it to him? By bashing the cogwheel of course! But you cannot do that until you have bashed 30 Romans. Good luck! After they are defeated you have some iron boxes to the right from the cogwheel. Inside them are 2 10X multipliers and some golden helmets. Also in some ordinary boxes in the right corner of this camp is 7 3X multipliers too. This is a great opportunity to get some extra helmets. Get back to the cogwheel and bash it. When Asterix grab the rope you will bash the cogwheel again to make him get over to the lever. Pull the lever down and you have a new path. But first let’s get a laurel. If you have bashed the boxes under the laurel you can’t get it. If you have done it I suggest you should die! When you get back to life again the boxes will appear again. Stand on them, do a double jump to reach the button on the wall and then you will be lift up by the elevator to the ***Golden Laurel***. Now continue through the cave you opened the entrance to earlier. You must defeat 8 Romans here before you do something else. Unfortunately ordinary Roman soldiers doesn’t count, so you will have to defeat 8 Roman centurions (the ones that have golden clothes and can stand more hits than the others). Inside one of the formations is a Magic Potion and if you grab it you will find it very useful. There are more Magic Potions here and the only way to reach them is to do a triple jump into the air. So you can keep you super power alive for a long time if you take a new potion before the other one goes out. While you have the super power you should also break the iron boxes there. After they are defeated you can go and get the torch near the cave you just came from. Jump into the other formation and bash them to heaven because inside the formation is the fireplace. Light the torch and blow the gun barrel. A new path is open. Now you can see the spy again. He wants you to collect 3000 helmets for him down the slope. Yippee! If you managed to collect 3000 helmets down the slope you will get a prize! And the prize is the last ***Golden Laurel*** in Normandy! You see the large piles of boxes? Don’t break them! Jump on top of them to get the multipliers first. There are multipliers worth 38X on those boxes! There are also 2 catapults here. The one to the left shoots you up the slope again if you failed the first ride or want to collect some more helmets. The second one to the right is the one you should take if you want to leave this area. ----------- | STAGE 6 | ----------- The peddler is here if you want to buy some new combos and after the ride in the slope you will have plenty of helmets. Buy all combos you can afford. Bash every box here and then get out from the cave. ---> The Boss <--- RUN!!! The big war machine is after you. Run as quickly as you can and don’t bother to break those boxes. Get yourself to the safe platform by turning to the left or right. Inside the sealed door you can see your friends Fulliomatix and Unhygienix. To open the door you must defeat the war machine. Place Asterix into the blue circle on the other side. Bash the cogwheel so Asterix can get up and use the cableway. He will land on a button that releases the arms of the machine. It is time for Obelix to do a double jump over one of the arms and bash the screws where the arms are attached to the body. The arm will then explode and Asterix will be thrown back. This time the machine will be launching some type of grenades towards you. Just repeat this until all arms are gone and then you can free your friends. When the machine is gone you will get 8 10X multipliers and a lot of golden and blue helmets. Then go bash the button. Fulliomatix and Unhygienix are mad at you! Why? Because it took you so long to free them. They tell you that Geriatrix and Panacea are held prisoners in Athens, Greece. You will receive another piece of Caesar’s Great Map. Now quickly go to Athens! ******************** ** (C) ATHENS (C) ** ******************** 5 Stages 12 Golden Laurels ----------- | STAGE 1 | ----------- Take the ***Golden Laurel*** behind you. Bash the boxes on the sides and on the right side is 3 3X multipliers. To the left is a way down to the ocean, but the peddler is also there. Buy new combos from him. Continue on the path and then you will have to defeat 30 Romans to unlock the button near the town entrance on the right side. A catapult loaded with rocks is also firing at you when you get close to that entrance. Defeat it first. It is on the left side from the entrance. Just bash it until it breaks down. Then go bash the other remaining Romans. When you have finished the Romans go search every roof for boxes, helmets and multipliers. When that is done, you should swim out to the island and collect the helmets there. Swim around it and you will find a cave. There is 2 10X multipliers, a golden helmets and many blue helmets. Behind the boxes is a ***Golden Laurel***. Swim back to the village and press the button to reach the town. Get in through the smaller gate with Asterix and bash the button to open the larger door for Obelix and Dogmatix. To the left is some boxes containing 3 3X multipliers. Follow the path up to collect some helmets. Defeat the Roman there and grab the torch. Place Asterix into the blue circle. Let Obelix bash the cogwheel so Asterix can reach the next platform. Bash the boxes and then the button on the wall beside the door. In the next area you should collect the helmets to the right and then light the torch. Jump down and try to avoid the Romans. Get to the place where Obelix is and blow the gun barrel. Just stick the torch through the bars. Now, go and bash the Romans! There are 5 red buttons in here. 2 is to the right of the entrance to the building, one is to the left of that entrance and the remaining 2 is on the other side of this area (1 is hidden behind the wall to the right). Go back to the building entrance and bash all boxes in here and then go to the machine. The machine will now throw you many golden helmets. You are playing as Obelix so the iron boxes are not a problem. Bash them and you reach a new part of the town. The spy is in there. He says he can open the temple doors if you can eliminate the Roman Empire’s most terrifying lions. What are you waiting for? You can eliminate them easier if you open the pit by standing on one of the grey spots. Every time a lion falls into the pit you will be rewarded from the machines near the temple doors. When they are eliminated you should break some boxes because they contain a lot of 3X multipliers on both sides! When you feel finished you should go and speak to the spy again. At both corners after the entrance are red buttons. Bash them and turn them green. Further in is a lever hidden by a couple of boxes. Pull it down and make it green. Hidden by boxes further in is a red button. 2 other levers are placed near the grey spots in the water. Walk over one of the grey spots and the light will turn green up on platform. Stand on the other grey spot to make the last light shine green too. Then go up the platform and stand on the grey spot there. Then the elevator will rise, so you must be quick and jump on it and then jump to the ***Golden Laurel***. On the wall behind the laurel is a button, bash it and you will be handsomely rewarded. Just do the same thing again with the grey spots. Save your game by hitting the sleeping druid. ----------- | STAGE 2 | ----------- Now it is time to go further in temple. Bash the Romans on your way and then the spy will talk to you again. He says you must keep the fire alive through the temple maze and you are lucky who already have a torch in your hand. Smash the boxes around you and then light your torch. Try to avoid the Romans and don’t fall into the water. Jump from platform to platform and light the fireplace. To the left you have a little room full of boxes. Break them and you will see some golden helmets! Go back into the other room if you want some more action or helmets. If you fall into the water and the torch stops burning you have to go back to the last fireplace you have lit. Light the torch and a blue circle will appear. Jump into it. You now control Obelix. Go up and a lock appears over the cogwheel. Before you do something else I suggest you to go and look to the left. There are 4 lights there. The lights on the right and left side are flashing green and the 2 in the middle are flashing red. There are 3 red lights on the floor too. Go to the far end to the right and there you will see 4 red buttons. Bash the one to the far left and the one to the far right. Now go back and now you will see that one of the lights on the floor is green and that the lights on the wall have changed place. Remember how it looks like and go back to the 4 buttons on the right side. Bash the green ones back to red again and then bash the new combination that was on the left side to green. Go back and a second light will be green on the floor and on the wall is a new combination. When the third combination is done you should go back to the grey spot and the machine and then you will see that the third light on the floor will be green too. Now you will be rewarded with 5 10X multipliers and a huge number of golden helmets. Now go down and defeat the lion trainer to unlock the cogwheel. It doesn’t happen anything if you just kill lions, you must defeat the human trainer to unlock it. Now go up and bash the cogwheel so Asterix can get the rope. When he has grabbed the rope you will just bash the cogwheel again and he will be landing on the other side. Quickly light the fireplace. Light the torch and run to the blue circle on the other side of the fireplace. Go down and bash the cogwheel with Obelix to get the rope to Asterix. When Asterix has grabbed the rope you bash the cogwheel once again with Obelix. Go out to granite block, but first defeat the Romans. After the enemies are gone you push the block toward the fireplace. Light the fireplace with Asterix and then blow the gun barrel. Go inside the small tunnel with Asterix and press the button on the other side to open up the door for Obelix and Dogmatix. Save you game by bashing the sleeping druid. ----------- | STAGE 3 | ----------- Now you are playing as Obelix. Go inside and smash all boxes. Move back to the fire place and light the torch. Go back to the druid and up the stairs to blow up the gun barrel. Let’s go talk to the spy. The door is closed and to open it you must defeat 25 Romans. There is another room to the right and inside there is a new shield if you are running out of life. When they are all defeated, go to the spy and he will open the door for you. Now you need to defeat 20 enemies to unlock the fireplace. If you need more life you should take the right corridor and then go around the corner to get a new shield. There are also 4 3X multipliers in there. After the enemies are defeated, grab the torch and light it. Now you are playing as Obelix again. Go to the right corridor and push the logs into the wall as much as you can. After all logs are done you also push the giant granite block. Then a blue circle appears. Place Obelix in it. This is kinda tricky, but with timed jumps you should manage to get over to the other side with the torch burning. If you fall into the water you have to light your torch and start over again. Light the fireplace and go inside the new room. Defeat the lions and the lion trainer in there, then go back and light the torch. Go to the fence and blow the gun barrel to open up the path for Obelix and Dogmatix. In this room you can see large windows. One of those windows is open. Jump through it and you will get multipliers worth 40 helmets per ordinary helmet. Bash every box you see. You may talk to the spy if you want to, but it is optional. Continue down to the ocean on the path just after the spy and out in the ocean you can see a ***Golden Laurel***. Swim out and collect it with Obelix. Continue up to the top, but don’t collect any helmets! Defeat all Romans and then go up. Slide on the edge and collect all helmets because there is a 10X multiplier at the top. Continue down and open the door by pressing the button on the wall. Now continue the small path and beware of the Romans in here! Jump over them if you can. Try to collect the shield. If you choose to pick a fight, you will probably be bashed over the edge. Bash the iron boxes. Go forward and bash every Roman you see, but don’t bash the boxes or collect any helmets. You see those platforms in the water? Clean them from Romans. Now you can light your torch and jump between the platforms until you reach the cableway. Let Asterix go into it. Now you are controlling Obelix. Move Asterix a little bit with Obelix and you will see that you can’t pass until you have pushed the logs into the building. Do so. Then go back to the fireplace and behind the wall near it is a machine with lights now turned green. That means a bonus. This time it is 10 3X multipliers. Now you can break every box you see and collect all helmets. Go back to Asterix, but let him be there. Jump over the wall and you can see a bridge which is pointing upwards. Go to the other side of the bridge and pull the lever down. Now the bridge is complete. Move Asterix to the bridge and let him run over it and light the fireplace on the other side. In the cave you can see 3 giant lifts. To make them move upwards you have to defeat all enemies on them. When you have reached the top, slide down on the slope to the right and then light the torch. Make your way up the lift again and this time you gotta move fast so the torch doesn’t lose its fire. Light the gun barrel and a new path has appeared. Wake up the druid if you want to save here. ----------- | STAGE 4 | ----------- Use the Maximus Repeating Cannon in here. Push the target-painted granite block back and then move the cannon so its target is the painted granite block. Fire! A new path is opened. Defeat the Romans that has appeared. Now change the direction of the painted block. Move it as much as you can towards the cannon. The rocks you are firing now bounces between the painted blocks and finally destroys the sealed cave. In there is another ***Golden Laurel***. Move into the new room to the left and defeat the Romans in there. Move up the stairs and push the button with Asterix. Go through the small door, grab the torch and go to the grey spot. The larger door downstairs will now open up, but there is also another door to open for Obelix and Dogmatix. Move Obelix to the grey spot to open up the fence for Asterix. Move the second granite block to the grey spot and you will open up the larger door a little. Obelix can’t get through, but Asterix can. Move Asterix into the other room and light your torch. Run back to Obelix and move up on the elevator. Bash the cogwheel to get Asterix up. When you’re up, blow the gun barrel inside the fence. Now move the large granite block to the grey spot to open up the large door completely for Obelix. Now bash the iron boxes with Obelix and the spy will talk to you. He tells you about something precious in the library not from there. Let’s go and check it out! To the right are 6 red lights which mean you have to find 6 red buttons. The first button is behind the large granite block. While you are there, pull the granite block back to open a new way for Asterix. The second one is on the wall at the platform below the fence. Jump down from the bookshelf and get then 10X multiplier. Then follow the helmets to the left and bash all boxes. At the end of the corridor to the right are 2 boxes. Behind those boxes is a third button. Go back, but take left. When the bookshelves ends at the right side just turn around because the fourth button is just behind you on the side of the shelf. Get back again, but this time you go to the stairs. To the left of the stairs are 3 boxes and behind them is another button. The last one is to the right of the stairs on the bookshelf. Get up and stand on the grey spot. You have retrieved another ***Golden Laurel***! Obelix opened up a path for you. At the end of this path you see a cableway, get on it. It will take you to the quay. Visit the peddler. Buy some new combos if you can afford it. Another advice is to buy as many shields as you can carry because you will come to a great fight very soon. When you are ready, pass the bridge to the other side of the quay. Now you will have to defeat 60 Romans by yourself. Don’t be too reckless now! If you are running out of life you have a new shield in the water to the left of the bridge. When 8 enemies are left you will face lions and lion trainers, so be extra careful. When everyone is defeated, pull the lever down. Obelix will now join you again. Get down to the water and swim along the quay where the catapult is. After you have swam by the quay you will find a secret room with a ***Golden Laurel***. Now get back to the quay again. There are 3 3X multipliers and 1 10X multiplier on the platform near the catapult. There are also 4 3X multipliers after the tree in the boxes near the open oven. 2 more 3X multipliers can also be found near the catapult in the boxes. Go up the path after the lever but turn left immediately and get yourself up on that roof. From that roof you can see a ***Golden Laurel*** on the roof of the entrance to the library. You have finally made it through the temple maze! A-maze-ing isn’t it? Use the catapult to reach another part of Athens. Go and wake the druid up to save the game. ----------- | STAGE 5 | ----------- Turn around and get the helmets in the ocean. Swim out to the island. Swim to the backside to climb to the top. Here are several 3X multipliers and 10X multipliers and hordes of helmets. It’s heaven! When you have smashed every box, jump down through the hole and collect the ***Golden Laurel***. Get back to town again. Defeat every enemy you see. Directly to the left from the entrance is a 10X multiplier and a 3X multiplier is hidden in one of the boxes. Another 3X multiplier is placed straight ahead, you cannot miss it. Break every box you see. Go to the right of that multiplier and you will find a path near the corner of that building. Follow it and jump down the big hole in the fence. Follow the path and there is no way back as you may see. At the end of this path is 50 Roman soldiers you must defeat to unlock a button. When 9 enemies remaining you will face lions and lion trainers. After all are defeated except Asterix, Obelix and Dogmatix, go into the cage and collect some helmets. Then go to the door, press the button and use the catapult to get back to the town. On your way back to the town you will get some helmets and a ***Golden Laurel***. Bash the Romans after you have landed and then let Asterix get into the cableway to the right. Jump down under Asterix and defeat the Roman there. To the left is some helmets, collect them and after those helmets is another ***Golden Laurel***. Now pull Asterix on his cableway until you reach the pitfall. Release the rope and bash the lions and the Romans to outer space. When they are defeated just continue your ride with Asterix. Some Roman soldiers will appear, but they know how to fight after they have reached the Moon. He he... Move the giant granite block so you can walk on it and take Asterix over it and then to the other side. When Asterix has reached his destination, go to the left and bash the cogwheel to get Obelix up too. Use Obelix to break the iron boxes. Continue the path. Now you have to defeat 100 Romans! Have a GREAT time! After the 100 Romans are defeated, place Asterix in the blue circle. You now control Obelix. Go back to the entrance you came from and walk down to the ship. There is one 10X multiplier and two 3X multipliers and lot of helmets there. Move back to Asterix and bash the cogwheel to get Asterix on top of the roof. Bash the Romans, take all helmets and break all boxes. Go to the right of the roof and use the cableway to reach the BONUS ISLAND! This is an awesome island full of golden helmets and multipliers. Bash every single box and collect every single helmet and multiplier. Then begin your way up to the top. Use the elevators to get up and when you have reached the top, jump down through the hole and collect the last ***Golden Laurel*** in Athens. Get up to the top again and ride the cableway to get some more multipliers and helmets. Where you land is a fireplace, a Maximus Repeating Cannon and some boxes, but no torch. Break the boxes and maybe it is behind them. Was I correct? Light the torch and blow the gun barrel. When the gun barrel explodes a lock will appear on the cannon so you will simply have to defeat another 30 poor Romans. Use the cannon to blow out the wall. Then continue the path. Smash every box and collect every helmet and the 3X multiplier before you go to the boss. ---> The Boss <--- It is a boss exactly as the boss in Normandy. This time you will face Romans and pitfalls on your way to the safe platform. Just ignore the Romans because they will be crushed by the war machine. Place Asterix on the elevator. Be careful! When the fight is over collect the 8 10X multipliers and all the helmets. Then bash the button to release the ladies. They will give you another piece of Caesar’s broken Great Map. ********************** ** (D) HELVETIA (D) ** ********************** 6 Stages 12 ***Golden Laurels*** ----------- | STAGE 1 | ----------- Turn around and grab the shield, then go towards the torch. It will now appear a lock over the torch and you must defeat 100 Roman soldiers. If you follow the path you can see some boxes and some of those contain Magic Potions and if you look into the air you can also find some helpful potions. When you have defeated around 90-95 Romans they will stop run to you. Now you have to find them which can be a little tricky. Check everywhere in the grass because they are hiding in it. After all 100 are defeated go light the torch and blow the gun barrel. Next area is covered by several Roman formations. To defeat those formations you will have to use Magic Potion. You can find it on the largest pile of boxes in the middle. You will now have to use the elastic band to get your way through the formations. Quickly jump up on the boxes and then grab the potion. Now you know what to do! In some of the boxes you can find 11 3X multipliers! If you are running short of helmets you now have a perfect opportunity to change that. Continue the path. Here you will see that the Romans are building a bridge, but their defence is not bad! They have some ordinary soldiers, but they also got a catapult which will throw rocks at you. You can see it through a hole in the wall. Go there and bash the catapult to the moon. Defeat the Romans inside and light the torch. Move out on the bridge and then light the fireplace. Swim out to the right and collect the helmets in the water. Swim forward and behind the great cliffs you will find a ***Golden Laurel***. Swim around the cliff and get back to the bridge. Defeat the Romans on the small platforms in the water. Release the bridge by pulling the lever down on the platform to the left. Now it is time to see the spy again. This time he will tell you about the Roman flying Corps. But the most important thing is to light the four fireplaces on the field there. Bash all Romans there and then go to the left and you will see some helmets and 2 10X multipliers. Collect ‘em. Near the tents you can find some more multipliers and helmets. To reach all multipliers you need to bash one of the piles with boxes, but not to the ground. Then jump up on it and then up to the other one. Up there you can find 2 10X multipliers. Now, get back to the fireplace at the bridge. Let Asterix light the torch and get inside the blue circle. You can now control Obelix. Get up on the bridge with Obelix and bash the cogwheel. When Asterix has grabbed the rope, bash the cogwheel again. Jump on the platforms and light the other fireplace. Now light the 4 remaining fireplaces out on the field. Beware of the flying corps! They will try to blow out your fireplaces immediately after you have lit them. The only way to light them all and have all burning at the same time is to defeat them. When they go down to blow out your fire, jump up and bash them. After all 4 fireplaces are burning, go and talk to the spy again and he will open up a new path for you. The peddler is near the cave entrance if you want to buy a new combo or shield. Collect the helmets in the cave and to the right when you have reached the end of it you can see a sleeping druid. Bash him if you want to save. ----------- | STAGE 2 | ----------- To the left you can see a blue lighted circle, jump in it. Bash the cogwheel with Obelix. Continue as long as you can with Asterix in the cave and collect the helmets and the shield. After you have done that go back to the edge and you can see an elevator in the wall. Push the button. Now get into the cableway. Go on the bridge to the left and bash the Romans, but watch out so you don’t get bashed out from the bridge. Bash the cogwheel to get Obelix up on the bridge too. Now you can see some iron boxes and some multipliers. On the boxes and in the boxes are multipliers worth 26X! Now the path separates. Go to the right and swim out in the water and get the ***Golden Laurel***. When you swim back you will face some Roman soldiers. Defeat them! Go back and take the other path to the left this time. Bash the boxes there and pull the granite block to the grey spot to open the door. Some Romans will attack when you pull the granite block. Smash them! When you have opened the door you will play as Asterix again. Now you will have to defeat 50 Romans to unlock the button. Continue along with the wall and go behind the tree and you will find another button. Push it. A Roman formation is guarding the entrance to the temple, jump over them and behind the pillar to the left is a new button. Jump down to the right and on a post under the cableway you will find a third button. Go behind the temple and defeat the 50 Romans there. Behind the defeated Romans there are some boxes and behind those is the last button. Go back from where you first came and bash the unlocked button on the wall to use the cableway. When Obelix has pulled Asterix around the cableway you will need to defeat the 4 Roman formations to unlock another button. Push the lever beside Asterix. When the lever is down you will get some Magic Potions. Defeat the Roman formations and move Asterix around the cableway again. Now push the unlocked button. The door under you will open. Before you go, be sure to have bashed all boxes around the area. Bash the boxes in here and defeat the Romans attacking you. To the left you can see a button on the wall. When you are near it, it will be locked. You will now have to defeat 3 Roman officers. After that is done (it should take a while) you can push the button to unlock the cableway. Move Asterix around and defeat the Romans on your way. Get your way up by using the elevator. Bash the Romans up there and then use the cableway up there. Get the 2 10X multipliers and then use the Maximus Repeating Cannon to break the iron boxes and defeat the Roman soldiers. Go back to the gate and open it by pushing the button on the wall and get Obelix in there. Blow out the wall with the cannon and if you want a new shield you can push the granite block near the wall and then fire the cannon. Use the cannon to activate the button above the gate that leads to the catapult. You will reach it by holding the action button in and the cannon should start shooting higher. When you hit the button you will receive a ***Golden Laurel***. Use the catapult to get to the next area of Helvetia. Near the catapult, where you landed, is a saving point. ----------- | STAGE 3 | ----------- Here’s an awesome opportunity to collect a lot of helmets. You can see a Magic Potion just in front of you. Both to the left and to the right are a lot of boxes. Bash them but check out if there are some multipliers on top of the boxes that you cannot reach if you bash all boxes. When all boxes on the left side are gone, go to the right and bash the ones there. If you follow the shore to the right you might see some more boxes but more importantly is a ***Golden Laurel*** which you can find behind the trees. Go back and talk to the spy near the bridge. Cesar’s troops have destroyed the bridge but as you can understand there is a way to get over to the other side. No matter how many Romans you defeat on the bridge they will just continue to come so don’t bother to fight because you will eventually die if you fight for too long. On the plateau on the bridge you can see some boxes. In the boxes to the left are 2 3X multipliers and in all the other ones helmets. When you get to the giant elevator, just defeat every single Roman soldier. When you reach the next level you can find a 10X multipliers on top of some of the boxes. Some Romans will try to beat you up. There is a cableway not far from you. Use it. Jump your way up to the top of the building and use the cableway to the right. Now you see 4 grey spots and 4 lamps. All of them must turn green before you get the award. On this one I won’t help you. You must figure out in which particular order you must jump on them to get a ***Golden Laurel***. Jump down and you must defeat 50 Romans to unlock the button to open up the passage for Obelix. Continue up and go to the right and put Asterix into the blue light. Go back with Obelix and bash the cogwheel. If you fall down with Obelix you must get yourself up to the top again. If you want to, you can jump down on the plateau below the cogwheel to get another shield. Otherwise continue through the new passage. There are some Romans inside. To the right is a blue light again. Jump into it and bash the cogwheel with Obelix to get Asterix on top of the tower. Up there you can see 2 piles of boxes. On top of them is a 10X multiplier which you can reach if you break some boxes and jump upon them. There is also a button on the wall. Push it and the door will open. Now you can push the giant granite block to the other side so you can use the Maximus repeating cannon to break the wall. Here you control Obelix and to the right inside the boxes are 4 3X multipliers. Use the catapult to reach another tower. Watch out! You must defeat 30 Romans to continue. Easy? No, you are being bombarded from the air by flying Romans with some sort of grenades. Bash the iron boxes and then pull the lever down to open up a new path for Asterix. Take the path to the left and you must defeat one Roman to unlock the lever. Easy? No, this time you are being bombarded from the air by Romans with spears pointing down. When that is down Obelix will team up with you again. Go back and take to the right this time. Pull the lever down and a bridge will appear. In the boxes on the sides are multipliers worth 28X and a lot of helmets. In the middle of the platform, you can find the peddler. Buy something nice from him and go down and use the big catapult to reach another part of Helvetia. Here is a saving point. ----------- | STAGE 4 | ----------- Go down to the boat and push the A button to use it. Obelix will now swim behind the boat and push it forward. This is going fast so be on high alert. There is no way I can guide you trough this boat ride, but after a while a ship appears that you can race on. Up on that sunken boat is a ***Golden Laurel***. You can ride around the track how many times you want. After you are finished, use the catapult. On both sides are some boxes that contain helmets and wild boar meat. Further up you can save again. In the boxes to the left are 5 3X multipliers and some helmets. In the boxes to the right are only helmets. ----------- | STAGE 5 | ----------- Now you must defeat 40 Romans to unlock the catapult. On the roof of the second watch tower is a ***Golden Laurel***. To reach it you must use the catapult and when you are just above the golden laurel you just jump down and collect it. If you want to you can climb up and collect a new shield, otherwise you just continue to walk to the right and bash the boxes over there. You can find 2 3X multipliers there. Use the elevators as usual; defeat the Romans on it and it will push you up. Continue to go upwards and now use the cableway with Asterix. Use the cogwheel to get Obelix up to you. Now you control Obelix. Use the upper path to collect a new shield and jump over the pit. But be aware of the Roman soldier who tries to push you down there and if you fall down you die and must start over from your last save. Bash the iron boxes to get 2 10X multipliers and some golden helmets. Use the catapult to reach next level. There are 2 paths here. Use the one that’s going down first. Don’t bash any of the boxes until you reach the end of this path. Bash that box and you will get a 10X multiplier. Bash some more boxes and you will get more multipliers and helmets. The upper path has another upper path. Climb up and defeat the Romans near the cabin and bash the boxes to the left of the cabin because behind it is a new ***Golden Laurel***. Continue this path upwards and then jump down when you get to the end of the path to collect some more helmets. You are now back on track again. Flying Romans are trying to bomb you from the air and watch out for the grey spots because if something touches those, a hatch will open and if you fall down you will die. You will now find a new elevator. Defeat the Romans on it to get up. You have some iron boxes and a shield to the left. Smash them and then continue to the right. Continue inside the cave and inside is a new elevator. To the left you can collect some helmets and get a 3X multiplier. To the right you have some iron boxes and now you control Obelix so you can easily break those. Behind those boxes is a ***Golden Laurel***. Go back to the elevator and continue to walk inside the cave. Inside here is a huge storeroom. Behind the barrels of wine are some golden helmets and upon the barrels is a 10X multiplier. Further up is a 3X multiplier and some helmets. After you have climbed up a bit you can find a single barrel with a board on. Jump up on that small board and climb over the barrel to collect yet another ***Golden Laurel***. Continue the path and you will find a cave in the cave. To the right you have some golden and blue helmets and to the left some boxes contain life points. There are also a 10X multiplier and 4 3X multipliers there. After you are finished down there you must jump between the pillars. On the last pillar is a catapult. Continue up the path with Obelix and you will have to defeat 51 Romans up there to continue. When they are defeated you can push the lever to open up the cableway for Asterix. Jump on it and ride up. Grab the torch and bash the boxes, then jump down on the path and team up with Obelix. Light the torch near the lever and run like crazy up and light the gun barrel further up. Continue through the cave and use the catapult to get to the next part of Helvetia. ----------- | STAGE 6 | ----------- Start off by taking the 10X and the 2X multipliers and grab some helmets. Some Romans will try to attack you while you are crossing the bridges. After some bridges, on the left side, is a platform which you can jump up to and behind that one is a hidden path and what you can find there is no less than a ***Golden Laurel***. Continue to the path ends and behind the boxes at the end is a lever. Don’t stop to fight the Romans because they will still be coming no matter how many you defeat. When the lever is down you can see that some bridges up on the mountain has been pulled down and you can now go back and use them to get higher up. Get over those bridges and use the catapult to get to the next part of Helvetia. Go forward and contact the spy. He will tell you that a gold laurel has been hidden somewhere around just three days ago. He will also tell you that you can get a price from him if you collect 1500 helmets or more down the slope. Good luck! The reward is, as you might understand, a ***Golden Laurel***. It’s not easy to collect 1500 helmets and it takes some tries to do it. There is a shield at the bottom of the slope. If you want to ride down the slope several times, just use the catapult to the left. I will now try to guide you down the slide. Start off by taking the 2 line of helmets in the middle and then take left and get the 3X multiplier. Push the joystick forward to gain speed and slide quickly around the spiky rock because there is a 3X multiplier behind it. Now it will appear a couple of lines of blue helmets in the middle. Then you slide to the left a collect a new multiplier and then quickly move out to the right and when you reach the edge move the joystick as far to the left as possible and jump to the platform. On the platform is a new 3X multiplier and when you reach the edge you once again jump to get to another platform. On this platform is only golden helmets and if you reach this platform you have the key for success. Drop down (don’t jump down) and collect the line of helmets in the middle and then move to the left and collect even another 3X multiplier before your past multipliers have ran out. Then you slide to the right and collect a fifth 3X multiplier and after the next line of blue helmets you should reach 1500 helmets. When you have collected the laurel you can use the catapult with the green flag to get to this level’s BOSS! ---> THE BOSS <--- Your objective is, as always, to destroy this giant grenade-throwing fortress. You must activate the 3 grey spots by walking on them, but the machine will spit out lots of grenades and even impenetrable Roman formations. You can only defeat the Roman formations by hitting grenades on them. When the area is clear from Romans and the spots are green run up the stairs and start shooting with the cannon. Aim for the red light on top of the fortress. When you hit it the machine will stop and you must hurry down to bash the screws on every side of the machine. Do this a couple of times and it will be defeated. If you need more life you can smash the boxes in corners. Push the button on the wall and continue through building and free your friends. They tell you that Cacofonix is held prisoner in Egypt and that will be your next mission. ******************* ** (E) EGYPT (E) ** ******************* 6 Stages 8 ***Golden Laurels*** ----------- | STAGE 1 | ----------- Go forward and grab the helmets and defeat the 2 Romans after the bridge. There are some boxes you can smash to the right with some food and helmets. There is a large statue straight ahead and there are paths on both sides of it. Take the eastern path first. When you have passed the statue you have to defeat 70 Romans to advance any further. There is a stone building to the right and inside of it is a ***Golden Laurel***. Get yourself out of there and kick some Roman butts! When all Romans are gone a blue light will appear at the end of the path. There is also a locked gate, but you cannot do anything for it at time so leave it. Step into the blue light and you will control Obelix. Strike the cogwheel with Obelix to send Asterix upwards. You will now control Asterix only. At the end of the path is a couple of Romans. Defeat them and grab the torch. Jump down and now you are in the area to the left of the statue. There are some Romans there, but they are easy to beat because Obelix and Dogmatix will team up with you after a couple of seconds. Light the torch and quickly run to the rubber band and shoot yourself forward. Take to the left and light the fireplace near the stone building where you found the first golden laurel in Egypt. Run forward and light the dynamite near the locked gateway. A new path is opened. Go forward to the large open area and climb the big stairs and on top of the last stair is a 3X multiplier. Run down and collect all helmets and to the right from the gate you just blew up is a little water hole with helmets and boxes containing helmets. Then run back and go right to the rubber band and collect the helmets before your 3X multiplier disappears. Shoot yourself up the steep hill. You cannot walk up there with out the extra speed from the rubber band. On top of that hill is Egypt’s second ***Golden Laurel***. Now go back to the large open area. Now you will have to defeat 400(!!!) Roman soldiers to unlock the next part of the adventure. You have an unlimited supply of magic potions that might help and speed up the bashing by stepping on the grey spots. There are a couple of plateaus around the fighting ground that contains helmets and multipliers worth over 50 times the normal helmet. That means that this place is a gold mine for you to collect a huge amount of helmets. Have fun and GOOD LUCK! Push the button and continue your adventure. Go through the cave and at the end of it you will se 2 boxes to the right. They contain golden helmets. When you enter the open area you will have to defeat 50 Romans to continue. To the left is a sleeping druid. Wake him up and save if you want to. ----------- | STAGE 2 | ----------- Defeat the 50 Romans and go inside the cave to the right and grab the torch. The boxes contains 6 3X multipliers and some golden helmets. Light the explosives and blow the gate. Now you control Obelix. Ignore the rock in the middle and jump up to the plateau instead and smash the iron boxes up there. Behind those boxes is the third Egyptian ***Golden Laurel***. Note: You can only grab the laurel with Obelix and if you decide to push the rock before trying to smash the iron boxes, you won’t be able to collect it. Move the rock and then jump up on it and onto the path. As soon as you jump down a lock will appear on a button and you’ll have to defeat 60 more Romans to unlock it. This place has multipliers worth 50 times a normal helmet too. Another paradise for collecting helmets! When all Romans are defeated, push the button and go inside the newly opened door. Now you control Asterix only. There are to paths here but you can’t climb the left one so you have to go to the right. Spiky boulders will roll down the hill but if you just walk to the left as much as you can you should be fine. You find a cannon at the top, but you can’t move it because Obelix isn’t there. There are 6 3X multipliers hidden in the boxes. To the left you can also find the peddler. The peddler’s price for a twister combo is 75000 helmets and 150000 for the twister fusion combo. You need to light your torch, but there are 4 Romans around it and you have to defeat them before you can light it. This can be a little tricky so my advice is to move around and first aim for the Romans with golden helmets. It won’t take long before you are dead if you don’t approach carefully. There is a shield behind the fire place that might help you too. If you are desperate you can always go back and buy some life points or shields from the peddler. When the Romans are gone you light the torch and slide down to light the dynamite. Once again you walk up, but this time you have Obelix by your side and he can move the cannon for you. Blast the bricks away and a new path is opened. A big spiky boulder will roll towards you so you have to run fast and jump to the left when you get near it. A big you have. Here you have to defeat 35 Romans to continue. When that is done you take to the left and jump into the blue light. Let Obelix strike the cogwheel to make Asterix get to the top. Jump down to the other side and you must defeat 3 Romans to unlock the continuing path. It might sound simple just to defeat 3 Romans, but these guys are tough ones and they stick to each other and that makes it very hard to hit them. Wait formation of Romans appears. Wait until the spears are at the middle or the top of the formation and then strike the bottom. To the left you find some helmets, boxes and multipliers. Grab them and then go to the right. A couple of pirates will attack you. Defeat them and continue. Further down is a fire place with a torch and a bridge over lava. Grab the torch. If you fall down to the lava you will die no matter how much life until their striking colour hits red and then punish them one by one. When that is done, hit the cogwheel to lower the bridge. Obelix and Dogmatix will then team with up with Asterix. There are some 3X multipliers in the boxes around. Go back to the fireplace and light the torch. When that is done, run quickly back and light the fireplace where you defeated the 3 Romans. Run to the left, but a giant spiky boulder will roll towards you. Go back a little and wait it out, then run forward and blow out the dynamite. Go in and hit the sleeping druid and save. ----------- | STAGE 3 | ----------- Collect the helmets and smash the boxes. Then walk to the left and jump up the stairs and place Asterix on the cableway. The cableway ends on an elevator and you have to defeat all enemies on that elevator to make it go up. When you are up, light the torch on the fireplace and blow the gate by igniting the dynamite. Move Obelix to the giant block and let him push it away. Continue just a little bit and the spy will appear. He says you will have to use a telescopic bridge that only Romans can use. He also says “Don’t think twice of hitting hard” and that is not a joke. It’s quite hard and it will take some time to defeat 83 enemies. If you walk over the grey spot a hatch will open and if one or more enemies fall down you will be rewarded by some helmets. When every enemy is defeated you can go to the left side of the hatch and smash some iron boxes that contains 7 3X multipliers. To the right you have a 10X multiplier, but it is located at the end of the path and if you don’t know that the 10X is there you will grab all helmets before taking the multiplier. Collect all helmets you can see and move out on the beach and there you will talk to the spy. The spy opens up the telescopic bridge for you. Cross the bridge and collect the helmets and smash the boxes. Use the catapult. Now you can use the boat, but first you should swim around the island to collect helmets and in a cave at the left side of the boat is a ***Golden Laurel***. There are a lot of boxes there and they contain helmets and 7 3X multipliers. Some pirates will attack you, but you should easily show them who’s in charge. Now use the boat. This is yet another excellent opportunity to extend your helm collection, but it is hard. It goes very fast, but you can slow down the speed in favour of the steering accuracy. You can ride how many times you want, just go back into the boat and press A. When you are satisfied you can ride the boat to the island and use the catapult to get to the next area. On the monument on the middle of the island is some helmets and at the top some 3X multipliers. Use the catapult and then walk straight ahead and save. ----------- | STAGE 4 | ----------- The first that happens after you have saved is that 40 Romans has to be smashed. When that is done the fireplace will be unlocked. Grab the torch near it. If you go upwards you can collect a line of blue helmets and further in is some wild boars and a shield. Go back and smash the boxes on the right side first because they contain 4 3X multipliers and then smash the boxes on the other side. Run down and collect as many helmets as you can. Then go back and light your torch and then run as fast as possible to the fireplace near the locked gate and light it. Move the building near the fireplace by going at the front or the back of it and press and hold the A button to move it. Move it near as far up as possible. Now you have to move really fast. Run down and light your torch and then back and jump up on the plateau and finally use the building as a bridge to make it to the other side. Light the fireplace on the other side. Collect the helmets and then jump down and deal with the Romans around the dynamite. When they are defeated, run back and light the torch to blow the dynamite. The giant boulder will roll down and destroy the gate. Use the cannon on the right side to blast the iron boxes away. Continue the path in the cave. The spy will talk to you further in and he tells you that a golden laurel was stashed inside the cave less than 3 days ago and that you must find it. Inside the cave you have to defeat 90 Romans. You have to defeat 18 strong defence Romans before it lightens up a bit. When all 80 are defeated the cogwheel is unlocked. Smash the cogwheel to lower the bridge. Once you are on the other side you will have to defeat another 80 enemies. You can go to a room to the right if you are running out of life because there are 2 wild boars and some life points in boxes there. When the enemies are defeated you do just as before. There are also 4 3X multipliers in the boxes. To get the golden laurel as the spy talked about you have to find and push 4 buttons and then walk over the grey spot between the bridges. The first button is to the right of the first bridge. Jump on the iron boxes to get there. The second is to the right after the first bridge. Jump also on iron boxes here to get to the button. The third button is located in the room where the wild boars are. To the right you find a big pile of boxes and behind those is the button. Jump up and push the button. The last button is located after the second bridge on the left side. You can only see the button from the bridge. You will have to be very careful when you jump over the edge. If you fall down to the lava you will have to start over again. When all 4 buttons are green you go to the grey spot and collect the ***Golden Laurel***. Pass the second bridge and continue the path. Some Romans will attack you, but they are easily routed. In the boxes are some 3X multipliers. Move up and once again talk to the spy. He wants you to clean up the area to the last enemy so he can open the door for you. Grab the cannon to the left and start the punishing. It won’t take long to defeat the 3 formations and after that you must defeat further 200 enemies, but with the cannon in use it won’t be a problem. When all enemies are defeated you can collect a shield and some helmets at the left path where you found the cannon. Talk to the spy and he will open the door for you. Follow the path and further in does a pile of boxes contain 4 3X multipliers. Collect all the helmets and move to the large open area. Here you must defeat 47 Romans. When that is done, collect all helmets and move up (to the left side from where you came in first). Here are a couple of flying Romans and they will throw grenades at you. Jump up and hit them. When all flying Romans are defeated you smash the cogwheel to lower the bridge. Cross the bridge. A pyramid formation is trying to stop you. To defeat it wait until the spears disappears and then smash them to heaven. Jump down and you will be located on an elevator. You must defeat every single Roman to make it to the next elevator and you must jump between every one. When you get up on the ground you will face another 2 formations. Defeat them as you did before. You can use the catapult if you want to get to the other side again. Go forward and smash the boxes and collect the shield on top of them. Behind those is also the peddler. Move the grey block and go back to the rubber band and grab the torch. Light it and use the rubber band to move faster. To the right of the block is dynamite which you should blow up with your torch. Move the block as much as you can and jump up on it and to the roof. Jump up and when you reach the grass and water, turn around and move the edge. To the right you can see a laurel. Jump down and climb the boxes to collect the sixth ***Golden Laurel*** in Egypt. Go back to the grass and water and continue that path and after a while you will reach some golden helmets and a saving point. ----------- | STAGE 5 | ----------- Go forward and talk to the spy. Once again you are going to slide your way down and collect 1500 helmets for a prize. If you don’t success at the first try just use the catapult at the left when you are down. When you have collected 1500 helmets the spy will give you a ***Golden Laurel***. Defeat the Romans in the area before you do anything else. When that is done you go back to the finish line of the slope. On the wall to the right is a button, push it. You must push 3 other buttons too and the second one is located at the north east corner. The third button is hidden behind some boxes to the left of the second button and finally button 4 is located on the backside of the catapult. When every button is pressed you walk to the grey (above button 1) spot for a reward. Walk into the cave and defeat the pirate in there. In the boxes to the right is some 3X multipliers. Continue the walk and you will eventually talk to the spy again and he tells you that a friend of his no something about a Gaulish prisoner. Grab the torch and move forward. You will now have to defeat 200 Romans. When everyone are defeated you can light the torch and then blow up the dynamite, but there are more things to do first. You have a lot of multipliers in the boxes and on top of the boxes and you can also get free life points if you are standing on the grey spot to the left for a couple of seconds. Inside the western temple you can find 2 more grey spots, but they contain helmets if you walk across them at right moment. That takes time and you won’t get enough helmets to make it worth the time so I suggest you skip it. Move out through the path you unlocked and there you have to defeat another 6 enemies. To the left in that room is a lot of boxes and behind those is the last ***Golden Laurel*** in Egypt. Go back and bash the cogwheel to lower the bridge. Go to the left and save. ----------- | STAGE 6 | ----------- Go to the left and use Obelix to jump on the white board to bounce up. Pull the lever down and help Asterix and Dogmatix up. Up there is a mini boss. You must break the boss’s arms by smashing them and the magic potion makes everything much easier. You have some shields there too in case your health is bad. When the arms are gone just smash the body apart too and a fireplace will appear. Light the torch and ignite the dynamite. Go inside and use the catapult to get to the roof. There you can find a boar and some boxes. Use the catapult to get to the boss. ---> The Boss <--- This boss works as the others, but now there is lava and some crazy Roman soldiers whom will try to stop you. Ignore the soldiers and pull the 3 levers down so that they are showing green light. Then jump up carefully and use the cannon to hit the red tower on the fortress. When it is hit you jump down and smash the red screws on the machine. Repeat that until every screw is gone. Never stop to attack the soldiers, jump over them and my advice is to start remove the screws at the back because the attacks are intensified when it has been hit a couple of times. Collect all the helmets and push the button on the wall. Walk down and follow the noise and you will find Cacofonix. He tells you that Vitalstatistix has been moved to Rome. Your last assignment is about to come. ****************** ** (F) ROME (F) ** ****************** 2 Stages 3 ***Golden Laurels*** ----------- | STAGE 1 | ----------- The spy welcomes you to Rome and he tells you that it won’t be easy to free Vitalstatistix. Move forward and now you have to defeat 1000 Romans!!! I recommend you to have all combos in hand or at least the “twister fusion” combo. If you don’t have that combo I suggest you to go back to other levels and collect more helmets so that you can buy a “twister fusion combo”. Before you get a combo you can smash the boxes to get some multipliers. When all of them are defeated you smash the cogwheel to lower the bridge. Jump up and smash all boxes you see. Go left and smash the boxes in there to get some shields, helmets and multipliers. The cogwheel in there is no ordinary cogwheel, it is a lottery wheel. There are 4 red lights in front of the wheel and when you smash it, the lights are changing to green colour. When the wheel has stopped the lights will stop too and if it stops too the left you will get a ***Golden Laurel***, the second to the left and you will get some golden helmets, the third from the left and you will get blue helmets and the fourth from the left and you will get a shield. You can find the peddler here too and shop before facing Caesar. Go back and move forward through the giant gate to the stadium. You will see Caesar himself far away. You can’t reach him yet tough you have to solve a lot of problems first. The first problem is 200 Romans to defeat. The next problem is to find and press a couple of buttons. The first button is to the right from where you came in and the second one is to the right from the stairs hidden behind some boxes and to get to the next room you will have to push the button on the left side. Move in and you will have to defeat 200 Romans. There are magic potions and multipliers all over the place. Activate the lights on the wall by stepping on the grey spots in 2 of the corners. Push the button on the wall when every Roman has been defeated. Move into the next room. Here you must defeat another 400 Romans to unlock the gate to the next room. You can choose to smash the soldiers to get your combo metre up, but you can also choose to smash the formations even though it’s harder. Use the combos to do the “hard” work. In the next room you will have to defeat 1500 Romans!!! This is actually easier than the previous room because you don’t run out of enemies that pushes up you combo-metre. Push the button when every enemy is defeated and enter the streets of Rome. Caesar says that it isn’t over yet, but he leaves Vitalstatistix for you to free. Caesar’s quickly leaves and Asterix and Obelix talks to Vitalstatistix. He says he won’t leave without his shield and porters. To the right of the stairs is a button, push it and go back to the stadium entrance. Walk over the grey spot and if every light is showing green then you should receive a ***Golden Laurel***. Now, go after Caesar! Smash the boxes and collect the helmets. Continue the path and it won’t take long until some Roman soldiers attack you, but they are few and won’t cause you any trouble. Smash the boxes from the upper side first to get 5 3X multiplier, then collect the helmets and smash the rest of the boxes. Next you will arrive to a very large stair with lava on the right side. Defeat the Romans downstairs and collect all the helmets and multipliers. On the west side of the stairs is some water and 3 piles of boxes. Smash the left pile until it is 3 boxes left in the pile and then jump up on it. On the wall is a button, jump to it and push it. If you manage to push the button an elevator will move you up. To the right is a 3X multiplier hidden behind the boxes. Take it and smash everything you see. In the next room some lions will attack you. Defeat them and smash the boxes inside. Behind all boxes is the last ***Golden Laurel*** in the game. After you have collected everything, go back and up the stairs to save. ----------- | STAGE 2 | ----------- You have 3 3X multipliers behind the druid. To the right is the spy and he says this is the last battle against Caesar’s brutal war machines. Smash the boxes and collect the shields, then push the button on the wall to open the gate. ---> The Last Boss <--- Caesar himself will control the 2 machines in there. To the left is a cableway for Asterix. When Asterix is on, grab the rope under it with Obelix and move Asterix to the other side. Grenades will fly around you and try to move all the time. When you reach the other side, smash the cogwheel with Asterix and move up to the bridge you just lowered. From the bridge you can jump and land on the big red button on top of the machine. When you land on the button, the machine’s arms will come out. Quickly move Obelix inside the arms and smash the red screws. When both screws are gone the arm will fall off. When both machine’ arms has fallen off they will blow up. I recommend finishing them of one at the time. After the machine-destruction you can push the button to open the door in the middle of the lava field. The rest is up to you to discover... (If you need more helmets, the best place to collect a lot of them is at the end of stage 1 in Egypt.)
