Gastronomy You will find the walkthrough for the game in the sections below. ############################################################################### (C-00) TV STATION ############################################################################### Choose either Kei [the boy] or Yumi [the girl] and start the stage. This short stage is real easy, simply get close to the monkey and capture it in your monkey net to finish the stage. After the stage, you'll reach the main hub, where you have a few different choices. ############################################################################### (C-00A) MAIN HUB ############################################################################### -------- Warp Pad -------- Use this to enter any of the actual stages of the game. ------------- Training Room ------------- You can use the Training Room to learn how to use your gadgets, and earn some coins in the process. I strongly recommend buying as many morph stocks from here as you can, to make the game much easier. ############################################################################### (C-01) SEASIDE RESORT ############################################################################### 07 Normal Monkeys 04 Hidden Monkeys There are four monkeys that you can get in this stage right now, so switch to the stun club with "triangle" and hit the cell phone for some instructions. Catch the monkey just ahead of you with your monkey net and attack the enemies with your stun club as you go down the stairs. Use the phone if you want and kill more enemies, then smash the box and attack the van for more coins. Catch the second monkey here and smash the boxes in the water on your left, then follow the trail of coins up the hill. Jump on the ledge on your right and smash the box for some coins, then catch the third monkey. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Use the super monkey morph here [once you have it] to find a secret room with the four hidden monkeys. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Drop back down the ledge and kill a pair of enemies at the top of the hill, then hit the switch for a short cutscene. Walk up the steps and capture the last monkey to finish the stage. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Replay this stage when you have the slingback shooter and shoot a monkey hanging from a helicopter here, then catch his friend outside. Use the pipo camera inside the church before catching another monkey. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ############################################################################### (C-02) HIDE-N-SEEK FOREST ############################################################################### 10 Normal Monkeys 04 Hidden Monkeys 01 Code Monkey You get the monkey radar before this stage begins, which helps you find monkeys and also see things from their perspective. ------- Part 01 ------- Collect the coins among the trees as you attack some enemies [use jumping attacks if you need to], then catch the first monkey ahead and right a little. Check the fatter tree on your left to find the second monkey inside, then smack the van for some coins. Double-jump up the ledge to the right of the van and approach the pipo camera. Watch the monkeys with it and record a video for the simian cinema, then catch both monkeys. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Use the super monkey morph here [once you have it] to find a secret room with the four hidden monkeys. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Drop back down the ledge and head left through a fenced passage to reach another area. ------- Part 02 ------- Attack the enemies and any monkeys if they steal your items, then catch the fifth and sixth monkeys here [one has a wolf costume]. Smash the boxes to find some coins and the seventh monkey to finish the stage. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Replay this stage and bash the fireplace and the doors on the clock inside this house to find two monkeys, then catch another one upstairs. The Spork monkey [from the codes in the secret section] is also inside this house once you use his code. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ############################################################################### (C-03) SARU-MON'S CASTLE ############################################################################### 11 Normal Monkeys 04 Hidden Monkeys 01 Code Monkey Before this stage begins you will get your first morph, the Fantasy Knight. ------- Part 01 ------- Kill the enemies up ahead and catch the first monkey by the gate, then switch to your stun club and swing it in a circle on the switch to your right. Go through the gate and double-jump the gap in the bridge, then kill an enemy and smash the crates on your right. Push the large block onto the red switch to get a nearby door open, then go through that door and down some stairs to a new area. ------- Part 02 ------- Kill the enemies here and catch the second monkey, then go through the next door. Morph to block the flames and hit the switch when you reach the wall, then double-jump to the next ledge and kill more enemies. Attack the chests for coins and morph energy, then catch the third monkey and go up the stairs to the next area. ------- Part 03 ------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Use the super monkey morph here [once you have it] to find a secret room with the four hidden monkeys. Go through the door on your left and catch The SAL-1000 monkey [from the codes in the secrets section] if you used his code earlier. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bash the armor off the monkey up the stairs, then catch him and go back down. Catch the fifth monkey among the bushes on your right, then go back up the stairs and hit the switch to open the door. Go inside and catch the sixth monkey in the dress, then smash the vases if you want some items. Climb the stairs and attack some enemies, then catch the seventh monkey and go on to the next area. ------- Part 04 ------- Smash the vases and kill the enemies if you want, then morph and attack/capture the last two monkeys to finish the stage. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Replay this stage and use your slingback shooter to knock down the monkey hanging from the chandelier above, before catching him. Climb up all the stairs and use the pipo camera, then catch another monkey. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ############################################################################### (C-04) MONKEY WHITE BATTLE ############################################################################### This dragon boss stomps the ground to call a few minions. This attack also stuns you for a moment if you're on the ground when he lands, so jump. You want to morph as early as possible to block the flame attacks, then run in close and start attacking the boss. When you change back, you should use the rocks for cover from the flames. Attack the boss until the monkey pops out of the dragon, then morph back and use your net to grab him. ############################################################################### (C-05) THE BIG CITY ############################################################################### 14 Normal Monkeys 04 Hidden Monkeys You get the super hoop before this stage begins, which allows you to do a dash attack. ------- Part 01 ------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Replay this stage and jump through the hole in the green fence on your left, then catch a monkey here. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Use the super hoop to dash along the track and stun the first monkey, then catch him with your net. Jump in the car just ahead and race around the track as you bump the other cars and make them explode. Catch a pair of monkeys from the cars here and climb the steps on one of the corner to enter the movie theatre. ------- Part 02 ------- Stand on the switch and use your hoop to dash towards the second switch, then quickly switch to your stun club and hit it before it sinks again. Destroy the enemies and morph, then beat up and catch the fourth monkey before you go outside again. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Use the super monkey morph in here [once you have it] to find a secret room on the left wall near the back. There are four hidden monkeys inside this room. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------- Part 03 ------- Hit the switch on your right beside the large building and go inside, then use the pipo camera if you want another video. Kill the enemies and catch the next three monkeys in here, then go back outside. ------- Part 04 ------- Look around the nearby tower to find some large coins, then climb up the stairs by the cable-cars. Ride the cable-cars to the other side and catch the eighth monkey. Continue along the track and hit the switch by the phone booth, then catch the ninth monkey that appears. Find the boxes near the next corner of the track and smash them for some items, then stand on the switch at the bottom of the ramp just ahead. Use your hoop to run up that ramp and into the next area. ------- Part 05 ------- Walk onto the field and attack the enemies, then morph and get the last monkey to finish the stage. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Replay this stage and catch three more monkeys on the field. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ############################################################################### (C-06) SPECTER TV SHOW ############################################################################### 15 Normal Monkeys 04 Hidden Monkeys You get the slingback shooter before this stage begins, which allows you to shoot enemies from a distance. ------- Part 01 ------- Attack the enemies and catch the first monkey, then go down the hall to the next area. ------- Part 02 ------- Use the slingback shooter to hit the switch [smash the boxes above you if you need items], then jump across the platforms and catch the second monkey. Smash some more boxes and jump up the escalator, then attack an enemy and jump up another escalator. Attack more enemies and boxes, then use the slingback shooter on the numbered tiles up high on the wall just ahead. You'll notice 2 more monkeys on the other side of 2 of the tiles. Shoot the monkeys to knock them to the ground. Use your net on both monkeys and head down the hall to the next area. ------- Part 03 ------- Jump into the robot and punch through the wall, then fly along the passage while knocking down more walls. Punch the green robot as fast as possible while he tries some spinning shots. About 7 hits or so should destroy the enemy robot, then jump out of your own and catch the fifth monkey. Double-jump onto the nearby ledge to get 2 more monkeys, then go down the hall to the next area. ------- Part 04 ------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Replay this stage and catch a monkey that's hanging from an enemy at the bottom of the room. Use the super monkey morph in here [once you have it] from the highest building near the far end of the room to find a secret room. There are four hidden monkeys inside this room. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Enter the next room and use a spin-attack on the switch, then jump from the new platform to the ledge beyond. Catch the eighth monkey here and follow the coins up the buildings if you want to smash some crates. Jump to the bars at the end of the room and use the slingback shooter to hit the switch, then continue to the next area. ------- Part 05 ------- Hit the switch on the wall and follow the railing around to the next area. Attack the enemies and step on the switch to ride the platform up. Smash more enemies and crates before using a pipo camera, then drop down and catch the next 2 monkeys. Morph and beat on the last monkey in the exercise gear, then catch him to finish the stage. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Replay this stage and go through the door to another area, then catch a pair of monkeys in the next room. Hit the switch by the rocket to launch it, then catch another monkey. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ############################################################################### (C-07) BOOTOWN ############################################################################### 14 Normal Monkeys 04 Hidden Monkeys You get the water net before this stage begins, which allows you to swim. ------- Part 01 ------- Smash the box up ahead on your right and jump in the water, then catch the first monkey. Jump up the stairs on the other side and attack an enemy, then catch the second monkey. Use the spinning switch nearby to get the third monkey out of the Ferris wheel, then use your net to grab him. Catch the fourth monkey on the pony ride in the middle of this area, then look for the blue phone nearby and follow the passage to the next area. ------- Part 02 ------- Enter the ring and morph, then watch for the boss's vacuum nose, or him swinging it around at you. When near the back end, you need to watch out for a gun in his tail. If you run to the side and hit him once, then back off as he pounds the ground, you should be ok. Repeat this and use the morph energy around the ring until the robot is destroyed. Catch the pair of monkeys and take all the items, then take more items from the pumpkins before reaching the next area. ------- Part 03 ------- Climb the stairs and jump across a pair of pumpkin platforms, then smash a pile of pumpkins. Catch the seventh monkey inside one of the pumpkins and follow the path to a new area. ------- Part 04 ------- Swim to the island on your left and use the pipo camera, then jump onto the boat on your right and catch the eighth monkey on board. Swim through the water and catch the ninth monkey in here, then jump to dry land on the other side. Smash the boxes and enemies before catching the tenth monkey, then push all four tombstones onto their switches. Watch as the large tombstone moves aside, then go into the passage below it. ------- Part 05 ------- Attack the enemies and catch the eleventh monkey, then check the phone and climb up the pole. Jump to the ledge at the top and morph to get past the flames, then attack some enemies and knock out the last monkey before catching him. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Use the super monkey morph in here [once you have it] at the far end of the room. Enter the secret room below the painting and catch four monkeys inside. Leave the room and go up some stairs, then hit a switch and jump up the floating books to get on the bed. Catch a monkey here and drop to the floor, then follow the next passage. Hit the shower curtain and catch one more monkey in the bathtub. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ############################################################################### (C-08) WILD WEST TOWN ############################################################################### 16 Normal Monkeys 04 Hidden Monkeys You get the Wild West Kid morph before this stage begins. ------- Part 01 ------- Morph into the wild west kid and shoot up the enemies as you snag the first monkey up ahead in your net. Change back and check the rooftop near the start to find the second monkey. Use your slingback shooter to knock him off the roof before catching him. Look for the trio of coins on the right side of this area and follow them into a saloon. ------- Part 02 ------- Morph into the wild west kid again and shoot up all the enemies as you knock the third monkey down to your level. Catch him with your net and climb the stairs, then shoot up more enemies and snag the fourth monkey. Shoot or attack the spinning switch to lower a chandelier, then jump up to it and ride it up to some coins. Jump across some chandeliers for more coins and smash the barrels on the other side, then morph and launch your net at the fifth monkey. Drop to the ground and leave the way you came in, to get back outside. ------- Part 03 ------- Morph and use your pistols as you run through the falling barrels, then shoot the sixth monkey in front of you. Fire a net at him and follow the path to the next area. ------- Part 04 ------- Shoot up all the enemies and launch a net at the seventh monkey, then hit the switch near the train tracks. Watch the train pull into the station and climb aboard. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Replay this stage and look for the roof to the right of the water tower, then jump from a small ledge up to this roof. Jump to the top of the water tower from here and catch a monkey. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------- Part 05 ------- Crawl to the pipo camera and use it, then catch the eighth monkey. Walk to the crates on the next car and smash all the wooden ones [and some enemies] to find the ninth monkey among the last few crates. Catch him and climb the nearby pole, then launch your net at the tenth monkey on the roof. Be sure to crawl with "L3" so you don't take damage from the passing beams, then drop back down and smash some enemies. Morph and shoot the eleventh monkey just ahead, then launch your net at him as you enter the next area. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Replay this stage and walk along the left edge of the train at the front, then hit a switch and catch the monkey that appears. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------- Part 06 ------- Shoot the last monkey on top of the pole at the front of the bridge to knock him down, then launch your net to finish the stage. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Replay this stage and cross the first bridge, then turn right and drop down into the area below. Turn left and use the super monkey morph [once you have it] to find a secret room on your left. Go inside and to find the four hidden monkeys. Return outside and go back to the ledge before you fell down here. Shoot the spinning switch on the other side with your slingback shooter to get across, then catch another monkey. Drop down to the ground below once more, but go the other way this time. Follow a passage through the rocks and take a 1up before catching another monkey. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ############################################################################### (C-09) MONKEY BLUE BATTLE ############################################################################### ------- Part 01 ------- This boss moves around the area and throws bombs at you or fire quick shots, while his minions appear to help hurt you. The boss moves faster than you, so it's usually easier to pick a spot and get him to come to you. You can kill the minions for morph energy and other items, but try to morph as often as possible. Once morphed you should charge up a guided shot and lock onto the boss, then you can let it loose and knock him off his unicycle. After this you want to plug him with pistol shots until he starts riding again. Repeat this about 3 times or so, to move on to the next part of the battle. ------- Part 02 ------- Now the boss is on foot and has a chaingun, and there are some logs and boxes between him and you. If you take too long to finish this part, then you have to do the first part of the battle over again. Run towards the boss while shooting him and slowly move to the side as you dodge his shots. Start crawling towards the log and keep firing. You can then run up and catch the boss in your net, once he completely stops firing and falls to the ground. ############################################################################### (C-10) THE HOT SPRINGS ############################################################################### 16 Normal Monkeys 04 Hidden Monkeys You get the RC Car before this stage begins, which allows you to drive into enemies and hold down switches from a distance. ------- Part 01 ------- Use the Pipo camera in front of the bridge if you want, then use the RC car to scare the first monkey out from under the bridge. Catch him and his friend by the umbrella, then hit the switch by the door and go inside the building. Attack the enemies and catch the third monkey, then use your slingback shooter on the fourth monkey that's hanging on the wall in the left corner to knock him down. Now use your RC car on the switch to reach the next area. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Replay this stage and double-jump through the windows on your left, then attack the enemies. Smash the yellow object in the corner and catch both monkeys. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------- Part 02 ------- Use your RC car by the left wall to grab the trail of coins and hold down a switch, then swim across the water. Beat up the enemies and crates before catching 3 more monkeys, then use your RC car to hold down another switch on the ground here. Watch as a third switch appears on the wall, then run over and take a jumping swing at the switch to drain the water. Ignore the tunnel down there for now and jump up all the ledges instead, then catch the eighth monkey that's swimming around up here. Now you can drop to the ground and go through the tunnel where the water was drained. ------- Part 03 ------- You don't have to make circles on the sticks to row the boat, as it's FAR easier to just hold "up" on the stick that you want to row with. Jump into the boat and row it left to the spinning switch, then jump out and hit that switch until it knocks down the ninth monkey just ahead. Get back in the boat and row over to the monkey, then catch him and break the box. Return to the boat and row to the other side of the room, then drive your RC car through the hole on your right. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Use the super monkey morph in here [once you have it] at the far wall, beyond the lava. Enter the secret room here and catch all four monkeys inside. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Use the car to hold the switch down before smashing some enemies, then catch 2 more monkeys around the lava pit. Jump up the platforms and climb the poles here to reach a previous area, then drop down a few platforms and go through a new tunnel on your left. ------- Part 04 ------- Attack the enemies and crates here before jumping on one of the wooden platforms in the water. Ride it until you see a dinosaur, then jump to the ledge on your left. Shoot the tenth monkey that's hanging from the dinosaur's mouth, then jump in the water and grab him. Follow the water around some more and snatch the last monkey to finish the stage. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Replay this stage and shoot down the monkey that's flying around above before catching him. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ############################################################################### (C-11) WINTERSVILLE ############################################################################### 16 Normal Monkeys 04 Hidden Monkeys 02 Code Monkeys ------- Part 01 ------- Smash the snowmen as you go down the hill, then catch the first two monkeys at the bottom. Climb the pole on the side of the house and jump onto the roof, then look left and right. Shoot the switch under both monkeys that are throwing snowballs to knock them to the ground. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jump from the roof to the nearby ledge with a snowman on it and use the super monkey morph here [once you have it]. Enter the secret room and catch the four hidden monkeys inside. Go through the door at the other end of the room to reach a new area, then attack the enemies here and catch the Shimmy monkey [from the codes in the secrets section] if you used his code earlier. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Drop down and catch these two monkeys, then follow the trail of coins up a flowing slope. Use the pipo camera if you want, then catch the pair of monkeys. Go back down the slope and head left up a small hill. Use your RC car to hold the bottom down, then enter the house. ------- Part 02 ------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Replay this stage and catch the pipotron yellow monkey [from the codes in the secrets section] in here, if you used his code earlier. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Smash the jars and other objects for some coins, then catch the seventh monkey and leave the house. Go back up the hills to your right and follow the passage to the next area. ------- Part 03 ------- Smash the enemies crates and igloos here as you catch 3 more monkeys, then go left up the stairs to the next area. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Replay this stage and go right as you follow some flags down a path, then use the tank to destroy the wall and catch a monkey. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------- Part 04 ------- Jump across the moving platforms to reach the middle of this area, then catch the last 3 monkeys to finish the stage. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Replay this stage and catch a monkey at the other side of the area, by the mask booth. Go up some nearby stairs and bash the hanging doorbell, then catch another monkey. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ############################################################################### (C-12) THE EMPEROR'S CASTLE ############################################################################### 17 Normal Monkeys 04 Hidden Monkeys You get the Miracle Ninja morph before this stage begins. ------- Part 01 ------- Attack the enemies up ahead and morph into the miracle ninja, then run across the wall and bring out your clones. Watch as a trio of monkeys show up, then catch them all with your clones. Double-jump and glide over the spikes, then run up the stairs to the next area. ------- Part 02 ------- Smash the enemies and hit the switch for a tightrope, then morph to the miracle ninja in order to cross it. Smash the boxes and catch the fourth monkey, then run across the next wall and up some stairs. Watch the shadows for falling bombs as you weave through the spikes, then catch the fifth monkey. Hit the switch to lower the bridge and snatch the sixth monkey underneath, then follow the nearby trail of coins to reach the next area. ------- Part 03 ------- Weave between the spikes and grab the seventh monkey, then run across both walls and use a pipo camera. Beat up the enemies and catch the eighth monkey, then hit the switch and run through the passage. Climb the pole and creep along behind the pair of monkeys to catch them both [you can also use morphs to get them]. Cross the beams and smash some crates, then climb another pole to reach the next area. ------- Part 04 ------- Watch for rocks falling out the windows as you go around and jump to the roof above, then avoid spears and catch a pair of monkeys on the next roof. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Use the super monkey morph in here [once you have it] between the spears to find a secret room, then catch the four hidden monkeys inside [hit the right wall to find the fourth one]. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Look for a tightrope leading to a kite and walk across it as the ninja to get the thirteenth monkey, then cross back and work your way up another roof. Enter the yellow doorway and capture one of the monkeys here to finish the stage. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Replay this stage and catch a monkey at the very top of this building [climb the pole to get there]. Enter the yellow doorway below you and catch one more monkey. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ############################################################################### (C-13) MONKEY YELLOW BATTLE ############################################################################### This boss runs around and calls minions, and you can attack him openly when he is down on your level. When he moves up the ramp, he throws a few ninja stars. Then launches tightropes from his nipples [you heard me]. You want to morph into the ninja and run up one of those tightropes, then hit him to knock him down on his back. Drop down and land a few more hits until he gets up, then watch for shockwaves as he jumps around. He tries to dash towards you at times, but otherwise these are his main attacks. As long as you land 1-2 hits when he's on your level and a few more when he's on his back, you should be fine. Once he's dizzy, you can catch him with the net, to finish the stage. ############################################################################### (C-14) MOUNT AMAZING ############################################################################### 16 Normal Monkeys 04 Hidden Monkeys You get the Sky Flyer before this stage begins, which allows you to reach higher ledges and glide. ------- Part 01 ------- Use the sky flyer to get to the high ledge and over the gap, then attack the bomb enemy and smash the box. Glide right from here and catch the first monkey on the ledge near the waterfall, then glide to the other side of the bridge. Drop down and use the pipo camera below before shooting down the monkey near the vine. Climb the vine and cross the log, then glide over a gap and jump up some ledges. Send your RC car into the tent and catch the second monkey when he comes out. Keep jumping and gliding up more ledges and glide over to the missile launcher enemy, then destroy it. Continue on and kill another enemy by the vine, then shoot the third monkey above you with your slingback shooter. Catch this monkey and climb the vine, then cross a log and climb more ledges. Glide across a gap and follow the passage to the next area. ------- Part 02 ------- Use your slingback shooter to get rid of the enemies, then run across the crumbling bridge and glide up the ledges. Catch two more monkeys before climbing the stairs, then use jumping attacks [about 5 or so] on the flying machine until it explodes. Catch the sixth monkey from inside the machine and hit the switch at the top of the stairs. Go through the door and smash some enemies and crates, then catch two more monkeys. Look on both sides of the stairs to find two blocks that you can push, then push them both into the wall to trigger a platform. Climb the stairs and ride the platform to the next area. ------- Part 03 ------- Catch the ninth monkey ahead of you and the tenth on your left, then walk across the narrow path and use your sky flyer if you want some coins and a 1up. Glide across the gap and up a ledge to the next floor, then go right and use a jumping catch on the eleventh monkey flying around above. Turn around and go the other way, then walk out to a round area. Go down the stairs and catch the twelfth monkey, then go back from this round area to the main floor. Jump up from the ledge to the next floor and head left to another ledge, then use it to get up another floor. Finally, catch the last monkey here to finish the stage. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Replay this stage and catch a flying monkey on the third floor, then use the super monkey morph [once you have it] in an alcove on the second floor. Enter the secret room and catch the four hidden monkeys inside. Go to the top floor and climb the pole, then enter the domed building and catch a monkey. Shoot the moving switch on the wall with your slingback shooter, then use the sky flyer to catch the monkey above. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ############################################################################### (C-15) TOYTOWN ############################################################################### 19 Normal Monkeys 04 Hidden Monkeys 01 Code Monkey You get the Sky Flyer before this stage begins, which allows you to reach higher ledges and glide. ------- Part 01 ------- Bash the enemies and catch the first monkey around the fountain, then attack some more enemies and catch the second monkey just ahead. Catch the third monkey among the bushes, then enter the door in the middle of the area. ------- Part 02 ------- Use the pipo camera if you want and smash the carrots as you catch four more monkeys. Hit the switch and go through the arch on your right, then jump and glide up the platforms and across the rainbow. Catch the eighth monkey and hit the switch to get back down. Leave this building and go through the doorway with the coloured blocks in the circle on the ground. ------- Part 03 ------- Work your way left across the blocks [some are like see-saws] and smash the enemies, then catch the ninth monkey in the corner. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Use the super monkey morph [once you have it] at the yellow wall here to find a secret room, then catch the four hidden monkeys inside. Leave the room and shoot down the monkey that's hanging up high, then drop down and catch him. You can also catch the pipotron red monkey [from the codes in the secrets section] in here, if you used his code earlier. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Drop down and send your RC car into the sealed area under the glass. Step on the switches near the bridges along the way so that the car can reach its own switch and some coins. Pull off the road in the brown spot to avoid the rocks and be careful of the logs later on. A rock appears once the car reaches the switch, and it launches the tenth monkey out to your level. Catch this monkey and go back through the door where you entered this area. Head left through the next door, with the red robot in the circle on the ground. ------- Part 04 ------- Climb into the robot and jump up the ledges [jump while moving forward], then smash a wall and jump some more ledges. Once you reach the enemy robot, you need to punch him just like you did in an earlier stage. If your robot gets destroyed, you can run back a bit and get another one. Once the enemy robot is no more, you can hop out and catch the eleventh monkey. Hop up the ledges and go through the door, then head left and go through the door with the two blue robots in the circle on the ground. ------- Part 05 ------- Attack the enemies and morph into the ninja, then carefully cross the tightropes and jump up to another one. Grab the morph energy and run across the wall, then glide across the trail of coins on your left and catch the last monkey. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Replay this stage and follow the passage here to another area, then use your wild west kid morph to fight off a group of enemies before catching another monkey. Enter the door with a car in the circle on the ground, then jump in the car and catch three monkeys from the other cars. Glide over and catch this monkey before returning to the ship, then climb to the top of the ship and enter the next area. **You can take a sled to the left of the ship to get straight to part 05, after finishing this stage.** ------- Part 02 ------- Jump in the boat and row it to the fifth monkey on your right, then row across the rest of the water. Smash the ice and catch the six monkey, then continue to the next area. ------- Part 03 ------- Morph into the wild west kid here and start unloading your pistols on the robot, then catch the pair of monkeys that appear when it's destroyed. Grab the items and go through the next door. ------- Part 04 ------- Use the super hoop to get up the hill and fire your slingback shooter at the ninth monkey hanging from the pole, then catch him. Cross the winding path up ahead and catch the tenth monkey, then smash the ice. Catch the eleventh monkey here and go to the next area. ------- Part 05 ------- Target the star on top of the tree with your slingback shooter and hit the switch, then drop down on your left and use the pipo camera if you want. Catch the eleventh monkey and smash the gifts to find 2 more and a 1up, then catch one of them to finish the stage. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Replay this stage and smash all the presents before you catch a monkey inside one of them. Enter the secret room and catch the four hidden monkeys inside. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ############################################################################### (C-17) MIRAGE TOWN ############################################################################### 18 Normal Monkeys 04 Hidden Monkeys You get the Genie Dancer morph before this stage begins. ------- Part 01 ------- Attack the enemies and catch the first monkey, then watch for the sand pits and the flat round area just ahead [it sinks into a sand pit if you walk on it]. Catch the second monkey across the water and use your genie morph, then get his music to lure the third monkey out of the tent before grabbing him. Stand on one of the two red buttons and drop your RC car on it, then stand on the other one. Switch to your slingback shooter on a different button than the RC car and shoot the switch that just appeared. Walk down the hill and go through the new door. ------- Part 02 ------- Carefully jump across the flying platforms and catch the fourth monkey on the next ledge. Watch the falling boulders and run right up against the steps to avoid them as you climb. You should also use the little ledges to your right with coins on them to avoid these rocks as you go. Stand between the pair of spinning switches and hit them both, then jump across both the platforms that came out of the wall and hit another switch on the other side. Smash the enemies and chests in the next room and catch the pair of monkeys, then watch the shadows for falling rocks. Stick to the low route and catch the seventh monkey at the dead-end, then backtrack a bit and jump up a ledge. Catch the eighth monkey on this path and jump up to the next one. Watch the pillars that tip over as you get close, then climb the stairs and head down the hill to reach the next area. ------- Part 03 ------- Attack the enemies and catch four more monkeys, then climb the stairs and quickly jump across the collapsing wooden platforms. Go up the stairs on your left and catch the twelfth monkey. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Use the super monkey morph [once you have it] at the wall here to find a secret room, then catch the four hidden monkeys inside. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Go back down and jump across more ledges, then walk under the wooden bar and jump to grab hold. Shift left and right to avoid the spikes in your way as it carries you. Drop down on the other side and catch the thirteenth monkey, then follow the path to the next area. ------- Part 04 ------- Smash the large jars on either side of you for some coins, then climb the stairs and morph into the genie dancer. Send the genie through the jar and use his music to get the door open, then catch one of the monkeys to finish the stage. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Replay this stage and catch three more monkeys in this room, then go up the stairs to another area. Use the pipo camera and catch another monkey in here. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ############################################################################### (C-18) MONKEY PINK BATTLE ############################################################################### Morph into the genie dancer for this battle and watch as the boss sends out hearts and has minions on her side. Attack the minions for items and morph energy, then use the genie's song to distract the minions and the boss. Walk in close and hit her yourself, then run away as she flies around a bit with a barrier. After getting about 5 hits like this, the boss starts using a spreading fireball attack. At this point you don't need to worry about using the genie's song. Simply attack the boss yourself from behind whenever she shows up to use her fireballs. You have to be quick here, otherwise she'll go back to her original attack pattern. ############################################################################### (C-19) EVERSUMMER ISLAND ############################################################################### 19 Normal Monkeys 04 Hidden Monkeys ------- Part 01 ------- Save the raft monkeys for later if you want to use a pipo camera. Turn around at the start and swim to a raft, then catch the first monkey on that raft. Look for another raft nearby and climb onto it, then attack the planks on the back of the small shack to knock it down. Catch the second monkey inside the shack. Return to the start and cross the water to a nearby island, then catch the third monkey. Push the stone block into the pillar as another one rises in the water, then swim right to some low platforms. Jump up the platforms and catch the third monkey, then notice the trio of blocks arranged like this: ---------- | 1 | | | --- --- | 2 | 3 | | | | --- --- Push block #3 away from the wall and push block #2 to either side, then push block #1 into the wall to raise another pillar in the water. Catch the fifth monkey on this island or in the water, then swim past the pillars that you raised to find a lever. Hit it to raise some platforms, then run across these platforms and hit another switch to get a door open. Shoot the sixth monkey that's hanging above with the slingback shooter, then catch him and go through the nearby door that you opened. ------- Part 02 ------- Carefully swim past the spinning blades before diving under the water, then swim under the spike logs. Dodge more of the same until you drop down to the next section. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Replay this stage and shoot the floating red fruit, then catch another monkey inside one of them. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Swim through the roots ahead and catch the seventh monkey. Turn around and jump up the ledges on your right as you get past the water. Attack some enemies and use your morphs to catch the eighth monkey, then turn left and attack the ninth monkey on the vine to knock him down. Catch this monkey and follow the passage to the next area. ------- Part 03 ------- Use the pipo camera if you didn't get the raft monkeys earlier and push the nearby block into the wall as another pillar rises up from the water. Cross all three pillars and go through the door to reach the next area. ------- Part 04 ------- Attack the enemies and jump to the platform, then hit the lever and jump right to a ledge. Hit the switch for a pile of coins, then catch the tenth monkey. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Use the super monkey morph [once you have it] to find a secret door on your right, then catch the four hidden monkeys inside. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Turn around and use your slingback shooter to get back to the spinning platform, then jump to the next platform and use your RC car to hold the switch down. Hit the lever and jump to the next ledge, then go down the stairs and step on a lily pad to your right. Shoot the switch on the wall as the water rises, then go to the left side of the room. Jump into the alcove and step on the switch, then shoot the next switch that appears. Use the sky flyer to glide to the ledge in the middle of the room, then push the block off the edge to get the water up even higher. Catch the pair of monkeys around the outer ledges here and go down the waterfall to get outside again. Go right past the island with the pillar to find a wooden path, then follow that path to the next area. ------- Part 05 ------- Morph and catch the thirteenth monkey in the ring ahead of you, then swim across the water and catch the last monkey on your left. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Replay this stage and climb the pole straight ahead of you, then cross the roof and shoot the spinning switch on your right to move a platform. Ride this platform back and catch a monkey, then return to the moving platform. Hit the spinning switch to move it back, then jump to the next roof and catch another monkey. Follow the path and swim under the spike logs and past the spinning blades, then catch another monkey and hit a switch. Jump to the large plane just ahead and smash some enemies, then catch the monkey that you just released. Go left and morph into the ninja, then cross the tightrope and slide down the pole. Head right across a few planes and catch the second monkey, then ride the yellow plane back to the large one. Go across a series of tilting planes here as you come to another yellow plane. Ride this small yellow plane to a much larger one and use your RC car to hold the switch down. Watch for the wind while you walk along the wing and catch the third monkey, then enter the door ahead of you. ------- Part 02 ------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Use the super monkey morph [once you have it] on your right at the back of the plane. Enter the secret room and catch the four hidden monkeys inside. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Turn right and attack some enemies while catching the fourth monkey in the corner, then turn around and attack some more enemies. Go through the door and climb some stairs before using your genie dancer morph. Send the genie through the bottle and use his song to open the doors, then catch the fifth monkey. Hit the switch on the wall and go through the door that opens. Use the pipo camera if you want and bash some enemies and slot machines, then catch a pair of monkeys and go left through the exit. ------- Part 03 ------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Pipotron blue [from the codes in the secret section] is found here once you use his code [try using a morph like the miracle ninja]. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Catch the eighth monkey ahead of you and work your way across the planes, then use your sky flyer to reach the larger one. Catch the ninth monkey up ahead and hit the switch on the other wing, then jump onto the blimp and go through the door. ------- Part 04 ------- Jump in the tank and shoot up the enemies, then sit on the switch to ride the platform up. Shoot more enemies and use your slingback shooter to knock down the tenth monkey above. Catch the monkey and use the tank to shoot down the wall up ahead, then drive out and shoot another wall. Wait for the flames to disappear before driving through the next door, then use your rockets on a pair of robots [your tank respawns if it gets destroyed]. Catch the two monkeys and knock down the wall on your right, then jump out of the tank and climb the stairs. Smash some boxes and enemies before going through the next door just ahead of you. ------- Part 05 ------- Jump across the large wheels and platforms to reach the other side of this room, then smash some enemies and boxes. Catch the thirteenth monkey here and head through the door. ------- Part 06 ------- Use jumping attacks to smash the two flying robots, then catch the last two monkeys from inside. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Replay this stage and follow the trail of coins down a ramp, then cross the narrow beams and hit a spinning switch. Ride the elevator up and go through a nearby door. Send your RC car through the gap on your right and past the pistons, then use it to hold down the switch. Head down the stairs and catch the fourth monkey, then morph into the dragon kung fu fighter. Hit the switches on the swinging planks and follow the path to the next area. ------- Part 02 ------- Catch two more monkeys here and punch the dragon switch at the top of the stairs, then catch the seventh monkey and follow the path until you hit a wall. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Use the super monkey morph [once you have it] at this wall to find a secret room, then catch the four hidden monkeys inside. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Aim up and shoot the eighth monkey on the top awning, then catch him and hit the switch on your left. Go through the door and shoot down two more monkeys above you before catching them both. Hit the dragon switch on your right and go on to the next area. ------- Part 03 ------- Drop down to the street and catch the eleventh monkey [save him for later if you want to use a pipo camera], then head down the street until you reach the pole on your right with the coins on it. Look up to find the twelfth monkey handing underneath the bridge and shoot him down. Catch him and climb the pole, then catch the thirteenth monkey. Climb the stairs and cross the bridge, then use the pipo camera on your left. Hit the spinning switch to lower some bars and use the sky flyer to glide across the gap. Catch the fourteenth monkey and hit the switch to trigger a tightrope, then morph into the ninja and cross to the other side. Go down the stairs and smash some enemies and crates, then catch the fifteenth monkey and hit the switch. Return to the street and climb back up the pole and go across the bridge. Head right this time and hit a switch to release another tightrope, then morph and cross it. Catch the sixteenth monkey on the other side and cross back, then head right to the next area. ------- Part 04 ------- Attack the enemies and catch two more monkeys in here, then go back to the previous area. ------- Part 05 ------- Drop down to the street and go all the way down to the end of the road, then climb a new pole with coins and catch the nineteenth monkey at the top. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Replay this stage and climb another pole to reach a new area. Jump across the collapsing platforms and climb a pole, then hit the dragon switch and go through the door. Catch both monkeys and return to the previous area, then shimmy across the hanging bar and jump a pair of poles. Carefully shimmy across another bar while dodging falling pots, then catch another monkey. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Drop down and go through the door on your left, then catch one of the monkeys to finish the stage. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Replay this stage and catch two more monkeys, then hit the switch to the right of the door. Ride the elevator up and use the spinning switch, then use the sky flyer to cross the new platforms. Hit the dragon switch and then ride the platform to the next monkey. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ############################################################################### (C-22) MONKEY RED BATTLE ############################################################################### ------- Part 01 ------- This boss bounces along on his farts or launches a curving fart at you. Either way you will become stunned for a moment if hit. When he lights his weapons on fire he does a 5-hit combo, so keep your distance and counter-attack [or attack him before the combo starts]. You want to morph into the Dragon Kung Fu Fighter and power up your own attacks. Now use your combos any time the boss isn't attacking to knock him down. Once you've knocked him down in this way about three times, the next part of the battle starts. ------- Part 02 ------- Climb the pole and notice that you're fighting in a much darker room. You can hit the spinning switch if you want a little more light. Otherwise the strategy is the same, dodge the boss until you can morph, then power up your attacks and use them when he's not in a combo. Knock him down another three times and you're on to the third part of the battle. ------- Part 03 ------- Climb the pole and notice that you're fighting on a narrow ledge this time. You want to power up your morphed attacks like usual and watch the boss's combo, then attack between his moves and knock him down twice to stun him. Now use your net to catch him and finish the battle. ############################################################################### (C-23) MIDNIGHT BAY ############################################################################### 25 Normal Monkeys 04 Hidden Monkeys ------- Part 01 ------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Replay this stage and head right down some stairs, then use the spinning switch to bring in a monkey. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Head right from here to catch the first monkey, then attack some enemies and hit the spinning switch to bring up some platforms. Jump across these platforms and hit the switch with your slingback shooter, then swim across to it. Catch the second monkey here and walk up the ramp around the corner to get on the ship. Climb the pole on your left and jump to the moving platform, then ride it left and step on a switch. Shoot a second switch to open a door below, then ride the platform around two more spots. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Replay this stage and go through the door that you just opened with two switches, then morph and destroy the robot. Catch the monkey and hit the dragon switch, then smash the boxes and hand off the bar while dodging flames. Catch a monkey and smash more boxes, then ride some moving platforms. Catch two more monkeys on the other side, then push a block and leave this area. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jump over and catch the third monkey on top of these boxes, then drop down and push the block right. Use your RC car to hold the switch down and open the gate, then walk into the next area. ------- Part 02 ------- Catch the fourth monkey here and climb in the car, then watch the jump as you crash the other three cars and catch the monkeys inside. Head back to the parking garage beside the finish line and return to the previous area. Head right past the cars and swim into the pipe on your right. ------- Part 03 ------- Swim under the water and follow the coins, then jump out and catch the eighth monkey. Swim under the blades and jump to the other side, then shoot the spinning switch with your slingback shooter to get across the gap. Catch the ninth monkey and step on a switch on your left, then shoot another switch to drain the water. Return to the blade room and drop down, then dodge more blades in the tunnel before you climb a pole. Attack the enemies and pair of flying robots, then catch the two monkeys inside and enter another tunnel on your left. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Replay this stage and use your sky flyer to reach the ledge on the left of this barrel room. Hit the dragon switch and catch the monkey on the other side of the glass. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Avoid the spikes and jump across the barrels, then catch the twelfth monkey and hit the switch in the next tunnel. Smash the boxes for coins and a 1up, then go through the tunnel to reach the previous area. Go up the ramp onto the ship and head for the right end, then drop down to the ground and go through the nearby door. ------- Part 04 ------- Attack the enemies and catch two more monkeys, then jump through the first laser barrier up ahead at whichever side has the larger gap. For the second set of lasers you want to use the same strategy, but use your sky flyer to get high enough. Catch the fifteenth monkey up ahead and hit the switch to lower a platform, then go back through the lasers [you can touch them this time] and jump up the large gear on your right. Jump across the moving platforms and gears to reach the next ledge and catch the sixteenth monkey. Use the spinning switch to lower a new gear down as far as it will go, then quickly morph into the ninja. Jump to the first gear and double-jump and glide to the one that you lowered. Jump to the next ledge and hit the spinning switch as needed to avoid the flames and reach the other side. Use the pipo camera if you want and use your slingback shooter to hit the left switch, then catch both monkeys to finish the stage. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Replay this stage and look left from the pipo camera to find a conveyer and some lava. Run along the conveyer and carefully work your way past the moving walls with some jumps, then take the cookie and go inside the pipe. Push the box out the window and hit the switch to open up the ship, then drop down and go through this new door. Catch the monkey in the hold and use the super monkey morph [once you have it] at the back wall. Enter the secret room and catch the four hidden monkeys inside. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ############################################################################### (C-24) TOMOKI CITY ############################################################################### 25 Normal Monkeys 04 Hidden Monkeys You get the Cyber Ace morph before this stage begins. The monkeys in this stage are totally optional, you don't have to catch any of them. ------- Part 01 ------- Morph into the cyber ace [or use the sky flyer] as you attack some enemies and dash over the gap, then beat up the trio of flying robots. Catch the monkeys inside and go through the door up ahead. ------- Part 02 ------- Avoid the spinning lasers and catch another monkey, then go through the door. ------- Part 03 ------- Catch the monkey straight ahead of you and step on the platform on your right to ride it to the next ledge. Carefully jump across the cars and grab the yellow bar, then dodge the signs until you reach the next ledge. Use the pipo camera if you want and catch the trio of monkeys. Ride another floating platform to the next area. ------- Part 04 ------- Ride a floating platform and catch 3 flying monkeys on the way, then jump for a 1up and catch one more monkey. Walk along the next ledge and through the door to reach the next area. ------- Part 05 ------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Replay this stage and double-jump on TOP of the end of the first conveyor, then use the fantasy knight morph. Go past the flames and catch a monkey up here, then use the super monkey morph [once you have it]. Enter the secret room and catch the four hidden monkeys inside. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Double-jump your way across the conveyors and catch a monkey, then jump up the collapsing ledges and step on the switch to your left. Send your RC car to hold down another switch, then step off yours to take your elevator down. Go meet with your car on the other elevator and move it off the switch to get it to rise. Catch a monkey just ahead and use the spinning switch to lower a dragon switch, then morph and hit that one and a few more while catching another monkey. Jump across the pistons [they alternate] and use the wild west kid morph to destroy a pair of robots. Catch the two monkeys and go through the door. ------- Part 06 ------- Run across the narrow ledges as parts of them collapse and morph into the ninja, then watch for the saw and run across the wall. Go up the stairs as you capture a monkey and attack enemies, then go through the door at the top. ------- Part 07 ------- Catch the monkey and smash some boxes, then morph into the Dragon Kung Fu Fighter. Avoid the flames and look for the narrow white plank that leads close to the statue. Walk along this plank and punch the dragon switch to smash a window and release a yellow ball, then climb the stairs beyond that window and catch a monkey. Avoid the ball as you run away from it in the groove here, and hug the wall so that it doesn't hit you. Morph into the genie dancer at the next window and send the genie through the pot, then use his song to get the monkey to fall off the window and into a chair below. Watch for the ball and drop down a floor, then catch the monkey from the chair. Use your RC car on the annoying enemies and send it into the passage with coins in it. Use the RC car to hold down a switch, then run inside and hit a second switch. Go up the stairs once more and run away from the ball some more, then go through the door on your left to reach the next area. ------- Part 08 ------- Jump up the moving platforms and catch a monkey, then climb the pole while avoiding the beams of electricity. Smash the enemies and boxes before heading through the nearby door. ------- Part 09 ------- Use the sky flyer to glide right across the platforms, then hit the switch above the ring of robots to send it elsewhere. Catch the annoying monkey and glide across more platforms, then catch another annoying monkey. Shoot the switch above the ring of bots and glide across more platforms, then go through the door to finish the stage. ############################################################################### (C-25) DR. TOMOKI BATTLE ############################################################################### This boss launches groups of missiles into the air that come crashing down on targets on the ground. He also fires a gun when facing you, but both are easily dodged. You need to face him and try to punch him as he's coming towards you. When he shouts about the luxury beam you want to get as close as possible and punch like crazy. He uses a sweeping laser at this point and it's impossible to dodge. Once you land about 15-20 punches with your robot, the boss falls to the ground so punch him a few more times and the battle is over. ############################################################################### (C-26) SPACE-TV FORTRESS ############################################################################### 38 Normal Monkeys 04 Hidden Monkeys 01 Code Monkey This is a long and tough stage so buy some 1ups if you can. ------- Part 01 ------- Shoot the monkey with your slingback shooter before catching him, then avoid the yellow lasers and double-jump over them if you want. Jump through the first set of red lasers on whichever side has the larger gap, then jump the second set on the left side. Jump the third set on the right side and catch a monkey, then smash some boxes and hit the switch. Go back through the lasers [you can touch them if you don't mind some enemies] and climb the stairs, then catch another monkey. Go past more yellow lasers and ride the elevator to the next area. ------- Part 02 ------- Kill the enemy ahead of you and go inside the first studio. ------- Part 03 ------- Go through the door and crawl under the beams, then take note of the four blocks: --- | 4 | | | --- --- | 3 | 2 | | | | --- --- | 1 | | | --- Push the first block left, the second block forward, the third one left and the final one forward so it's in front of the case. Jump on this block and send your RC car inside the case to hold the switch down, then go through the doors and kill all the enemies. Catch the monkey and go through the door on your right for another one. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Use the super monkey morph [once you have it] in this room to find a secret room, then catch the four hidden monkeys inside. Go through a second door on your right from this secret room to find another room, then use your slingback shooter to hit all numbered switch except 5, 7, 8, 9. Take the items that appear and hit switch 5, then attack and catch the The SAL-3000 monkey [from the codes in the secret section] if you used his code earlier. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to the previous room and go through the left door, then catch another monkey before entering a room with water. Attack the enemies and use the pipo camera if you want, then catch both monkeys and smash the boxes in the water. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Replay this stage and look on the side of the statue here. Use your slingback shooter on the monkey that's climbing on the statue before catching him. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Climb the stairs and catch the monkey, then hit the switch on the wall. Use the warp pad and go through the exit door to leave this studio. ------- Part 04 ------- Carefully jump across the collapsing platforms and watch for electricity while climbing the pole. Attack the enemies and catch a monkey, then enter the second studio. ------- Part 05 ------- Attack the enemies and catch a monkey, then go through the door on your left. Use the spinning switch to raise a wall, then quickly swim to the other side of the room [go underwater if needed] and jump before the wall blocks you again. Hit the switch to raise the barrier in the next room, then go through the door to that room. Use your genie dancer morph to catch a pair of monkeys on the ground floor, then use the switch above and catch another monkey from the clam. Drop to the ground and climb the pole, then send your RC car along the track to push a pearl and release another monkey. Go back to the ground and over the right ledge before catching the monkey that you just released. Jump up past the clam and go through a door, then catch both monkeys and hit the switch on the wall. Use the warp pad and take the exit door to leave this studio. ------- Part 06 ------- Ride the platform across the gap and take the cookie, then grab the monkey and go inside the third studio. ------- Part 07 ------- Go through the door and down the street while avoiding the shadows of falling debris. Take the cookie on your left and catch a monkey on your right, then watch for holes appearing in the ground as you run across them. Climb the pole and catch a pair of monkeys, then use the sky flyer to cross the gap. Watch out for the falling white buildings and catch another monkey up ahead, then hit the dragon switch to shrink the pair of monkeys. Catch them both and go through the door on your right, then catch two more monkeys and hit the switch on the wall. Use the warp pad and go through the exit door to leave this studio. ------- Part 08 ------- Go through the door on your right and ride the platform up, then go to the wall on the next ledge and drop right down some steps. Smash the boxes and catch a monkey in the next room, then jump back up the steps and go through the doorway. Now catch another monkey here and enter the fourth studio. ------- Part 09 ------- Use the sky flyer to get across the spinning logs, then stay near the middle of the folding platforms. Cross the narrow section to catch the monkey and go through the doors, then cross some asteroids and catch a pair of monkeys. Go through the next door and catch a monkey, then head through another door. Jump onto the red platform and ride it past all the lasers, then go through the door and catch the monkey [use a morph to make it easier]. Catch two more monkeys in the next room and hit the switch on the wall. Use the warp pad and go through the exit door to leave this studio. Walk across the bridge and ride the elevator to the next area ------- Part 09 ------- Catch the pair of annoying monkeys and push the two purple blocks into the wall. Take the cookies and carefully use the logs to cross the lava, then climb the pole to a ledge above. Hang off the next pole and slide left while avoiding the spikes [take the 1up on the way], then go through the door. ------- Part 10 ------- Watch out for the huge hand chopping as you jump the gaps, then attack some enemies and smash some boxes. Morph into the cyber ace and use his air dash to get past the platforms, then attack some enemies and jump over the lasers from the huge robot. Cross the gaps while doing this and step on the switch to ride the elevator. Hit all the dragon switches at the top and follow the passage to finish the stage. ############################################################################### (C-27) SPECTER BATTLE ############################################################################### ------- Part 01 ------- Dodge the blue lasers as best as you can and wait until the boss grabs your platform. Watch the targets at this point, and stay away from the missiles that land on them while you attack the boss's fingers. Jump and duck the lasers on the boss's arm, then use the cyber ace morph and attack the joint and the minions. Stay near the back end of your platform as you get close to the boss's rockets, then shoot the joint between them while dodging more falling missiles. After you manage this, you will end up inside of the huge robot. ------- Part 02 ------- Morph to the cyber ace and shoot the pair of joints while dodging lasers, then shoot the chair in the middle to finish this part of the battle. Run back to your ship to start the next part. ------- Part 03 ------- This time the boss either flies around with a field around him, or sends missiles down on you. Morph into the cyber ace and shoot him when his field is down, then shoot him on the ground a few times until he gets up. Run away from his explosion of energy after this. Jump the trio of shockwaves when he says "no mercy", and keep attacking him like usual until he's dizzy. Break out your net and catch the boss at this point to finish the battle and the game! ############################################################################### (C-27A) SPECTER'S FINAL BATTLE ############################################################################### You can play this stage after you have beaten the game once and caught all the other bosses a second time. ------- Part 01 ------- You'll want to use a distance morph like the cyber ace as much as possible in this fight. Bash your cage quickly to break free, then shoot one of the chairs when the boss splits into three. Attack him on the ground briefly and back up as he lets out a HUGE shockwave. When he shouts "NO MERCY" then you need to go out and dodge three shockwaves as the ground gets pounded [some of the platforms fall away too so watch out]. Dodge the falling missiles as they appear and swim whenever you need to, also watch for his circling blue laser beam [just run away from it]. Repeat this until he's dizzy, then switch to your net and catch him like usual. ############################################################################### (D) TIPS ############################################################################### Buy as many morph stocks as you can from the monkey mart, they make everything so much easier. Once you can morph, it helps a lot to morph and beat a monkey until it's dizzy. After this you can quickly morph back and use the net. Monkeys that wear red shorts are very violent, so be careful with them. You might want to try morphing to catch them easier. Press the left stick slightly to walk/tiptoe/sneak and catch monkeys easier. If you want to use the pipo cameras, then the monkeys still need to be around, and their lights can't be red. ############################################################################### (E) ITEMS ############################################################################### ------------ Gotcha Coins ------------ The small gold coins are worth one, silver ones are worth 5, and larger gold coins are worth 10. ------- Cookies ------- These restore one of the units [cookies] on your health meter. ------ Shirts ------ These are your extra lives. ------------ Morph Energy ------------ By collecting these green items, you build up your morph gauge. Once the gauge is full, you can use you morphs. ----------- Morph Stock ----------- These gems give you a whole extra bar worth of morph energy. Your normal bar charges over time, and these extra bars need to be charged by picking up morph energy. You can have a maximum of 10 of these and they make the game MUCH easier, so buy them early and often. ############################################################################### (F) MORPHS ############################################################################### -------------- Fantasy Knight -------------- This morph has a shield up while moving around that can block flames. You also swing a sword, but your shield isn't blocking when you attack like this. If you press "R3", then a magical field appears around you which will catch any monkeys that are within it. Finally, you can spin your sword in a circle really quickly to unleash a powerful attack. ------------- Wild West Kid ------------- This morph can fire pistols, guided shots and launch nets. Tilting the right stick lets you use pistols, pressing "R3" allows you to launch nets for catching monkeys. Finally, by rotating the right stick, you will charge a guided shot. Release the stick to fire that guided shot. ------------- Miracle Ninja ------------- This morph can walk across narrow ropes and along walls with footprints and can catch monkeys from a distance with "R3". Rotate the right stick to create some doppelganger clones to fight with you. If you hold the jump button, then you can also glide. ------------ Genie Dancer ------------ You control the genie with the right stick and spin it to get enemies and monkey dancing. You can catch monkeys with "R3" and the genie can warp between genie jars. ---------------------- Dragon Kung Fu Fighter ---------------------- This morph allows you to do combos and power them up as well. You can hit dragon switches and also catch monkeys at close range with "R3". --------- Cyber Ace --------- This morph can fire lasers, dash [twice] in the air, make an electrical barrier and catch monkeys with a dash by pressing "R3". ------------ Super Monkey ------------ This bonus morph allows you to walk freely among the monkeys. You can also smell bananas from hidden rooms [they look like wavy yellow lines coming from a wall] and press "R3" to open the doors to these rooms. ############################################################################### (G) SECRETS ############################################################################### -------------------------- Mesal Gear Solid Mini Game -------------------------- Once you finish the game, you can buy this mini game from the hobby shop. ---------------------- Monkey Throw Mini Game ---------------------- Once you have 25% or more of the game done, you will unlock this mini game for the hobby shop. --------------------------- Ultim-ape Fighter Mini Game --------------------------- Once you have 75% or more of the game done, you will unlock this mini game for the hobby shop. -------------- Free Play Mode -------------- Once you finish the game and catch all of the monkeys in a stage, you will unlock this mode. Now you can press select when choosing any stage to replay it with all of the monkeys back inside it. This is helpful if you missed some pipo cameras and want to get all of the clips from them. ------------- Survival Mode ------------- After you catch all of the bosses twice and beat the game a second time, you will unlock this mode. ------------ Super Monkey ------------ Once you finish the game, you get the super monkey morph. ------------------- Monkey Movie Studio ------------------- Once you record all 20 videos with the pipo cameras AND watch them in the simian cinema, then this feature gets unlocked there. The studio allows you to make you own short videos if you want to. --------- Passwords --------- After beating the game, you will get access to the password feature. By holding L1, L2, R1, R2 and pressing start at the title screen, you can enter secret passwords. The passwords that I know so far [they are case-sensitive] are as follows: 2 snakes - Extra movie tape and movie file 2nd man - Shimmy monkey blackout - Dark Master monkey coolblue - Pipotron blue grobyc - SAL-1000 monkey krops - Spork monkey redmon - Pipotron red SAL3000 - SAL-3000 monkey yellowy - Pipotron yellow ---- 100% ---- In order to get 100% in the game, you want to first beat the game once. Now you need to catch every normal monkey, hidden monkey and code monkey in the game, and also catch all of the bosses a second time. Make sure you have all of the movies recorded from the pipo cameras as well. Now get gold ratings in every stage in time attack mode. Finally, you should buy all extra items from the shops. If you've done all of these things, then you should have 100% completion.
