I've spent _more_ than enough time trying to figure out how to get through the damn maze, and what to do, and where to go. Well, after days and days of trying to figure out the damn thing, I finally got through it, and boy was I a happy camper. So I decided to whip this short (but hopefully detailed) walkthrough for the Snowfly Forest itself. I have also included a ASCII art map to help you with it. NOTE: The numbers on the map represent the order you should visit areas so that you can successfully navigate the Snowfly Forest. #1 is where you start, and #18 is where you will (or should) end up. Snowfly Forest Walkthrough ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• When you first start out in the now-infamous Snowfly Forest in Vagrant Story, it may seem a bit intimidating at first (and it should!). You'll begin this annoying quest in the Faerie Circle. Head forward until you reach the #5 spot on the map, which is Traces of the Beast. Once here, go right (west I think), and into the next area. The next area is Fluttering Hope. Now go left and into the #7 area on the map, which is Return to the Land, and you will fight the Dragon boss. Some tips to defeat him: - Equip some kind of Earth Protection so that his breath attack won't harm you as much - Aim for his Head or Neck area for the best results - Just use Chain attacks and combos for an easy victory Okay, once you've beat him, you'll get: - Aero Guard - Bronze Key - Potion Now leave, use your Compass to see what direction you are going. You need to go SOUTH through the Forest until you reach the area called The Spirit Trees. When you are here, leave the area to the NORTH so you get to the area called They Also Feed, (#9 on the Map). Once there, go left (west) so you enter the area called The Yellow Wood (#10 on the map). Now take another left and go into the Where Soft Rain Fell area (#11 on the map). After passing through this region, you will be in a big area, #12 on the map, The Forest River. Kill the knights here, then head across the river ahead of you and search the chest to find: - Sylphid Ring - Chain Armor - Shield - Night Killer - Knuckle Guard - Acolytes Nostrum (x3) Take anything you need, then go left and into Lamenting of the Moon (#13 on my map). Continue forward until you reach #14 on my map, Running with the Wolves. Go right from here into the next area, #15. This is You Are The Prey area. Take another left from here and into The Secret Path, run through it, and continue forward until you reach Hewn From Nature. You will fight some bosses here: Dark Crusader and Grissom. Some helpful Tips: - Take out Dark Crusader (the monster) first. Use plenty of chain attacks - Attack his legs and body to do the most damage - Attack Grissom after taking care of the monster (Dark Crusader) - Concentrate on Grissom's head the most: This will kill him faster - Use a few Break Arts on him if you can, if you have a chance to When you defeat Dark Crusader, you will recieve: - 1 Spell - Elixer of Queens - Grimoire Deteriorer When you defeat Grissom, you will get: - 2 Spells - Shillelagh Once they are done for, leave this area (#17), and continue forward to the next area: Wood Gate, #18 on the map.
