I will put their names on the bottom so don't lie! This is a must for any FAQ, and if you haven’t noticed by now I’ll spell it out for you: COPYRIGHT (C) NOTICE!!!!!!!! COPYRIGHT (C) NOTICE!!!!!!!! FOR PERSONAL USE ONLY!!!!!!!! COPYWRITED (C) BY SIMSteven!!!!! HAVE I MADE MYSELF CLEAR?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I just HATE people who copy/plagiarize other people’s work and call it their own. What is plagiarism you ask? It’s the technical word for the stealing of other people’s work. It’s also ILLEGAL in every state and country. Patchwork plagiarism is also illegal. This means that someone copies someone else’s work, changes a few words and/or paragraphs, and claims that it is an original work. In other words: DON’T DO IT without my permission!!!!!! My E-mail is SIMSteven@aol.com. Just e-mail me and there'll be a good chance that you get to use my work as long as you tell me who you are, where you're from, and where you'll put it. Make sure that I give you a response as well. Also, make sure to give me the credit for doing the work and do NOT alter it in any way, shape, or form. Also, when you e-mail me, put "Suikoden II: Character Database FAQ" in the subject heading or you will be ignored. Okay?! OKAY!! Information on this FAQ: This FAQ is a database on every character in the game. Well, to be more precise, this FAQ tells you everything you need to know about every character that can fight in a battle. It tells you their strengths and weaknesses, and is an all-around FAQ for you character selection needs. If you are having a hard time choosing a character for your main party, this FAQ will tell you which characters are the best characters in the game according to stats, physical strength, and magical strength. I started writing this FAQ after I had leveled up my characters to an average level of 60. Certain characters the end of the game had a higher level due either to the fact that they were transferred from S1 to give them a higher level (ex. Pesmerga) or because they gained a higher level due to the goofy level-up system that the game has. I decided that level 60 was a reasonable level to make the average level because it's the level where leveling up past 60 would become a chore. Then, I decided I would use a Codebreaker to make my characters' levels shoot to 99 just to see how powerful they'd really get. I'd do that so you'd see, too. Page width of this document: This FAQ is best viewed in MS Word, Courier New, size 10 font, with 1 inch margins around the document. Apparently, when I change the margins in Word to 1 inch all around, it resets the left and right margins to .92 inches. Just to let you know. Test: |-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-| SPOILER NOTICE! This FAQ will try to remain spoiler free, but be warned, as with any FAQ, information will be revealed that you probably won't know had you not read this FAQ. I went out of my way to max out every character in the game so I could make a FAQ for you. That means that I maxed out my characters at the end of the game, so certain areas and people are in here that reveal much about the end of the game. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! Mwahahaha..... ***************************************************************************** ********************************E-Mail Policy******************************** ***************************************************************************** As mentioned above, I will not give anyone my FAQ's so don't ask for them. Also, I do NOT like dumb questions. Please do NOT ask me about anything that is already covered in the FAQ. In some of my FAQ's, I included a FAQ section for the most Frequently Asked Questions. Please look there, and look at the content of the main FAQ, and if you still don't understand, ask the message board. Personally, I do NOT like questions, period. Also, do NOT ask me anything about sequels, other games in a series, or anything within those lines. If you HAVE to ask me a question, keep it within the game I made a FAQ for. Praise is also accepted, but don't ask for a response, because I won't give you one. Honestly, I get enough junk mail day after day, and I am sick of it. I check my e-mail every day, but I would rather keep my inbox as small as possible. Also, don't try to sell my anything, as your e-mail will be deleted the moment I see it. Thank you, and good day. ***************************************************************************** *****************************Version History********************************* ***************************************************************************** Version 1.0: FAQ created. ***************************************************************************** ****************************Table of Contents******************************** ***************************************************************************** 1) The Powerhouse Magicians Riou, Tir McDohl, Kahn, Nina, Sigfried, Zamza 2) The Magical Swordsmen Flik, Sheena, Camus, Anita, Valeria 3) The Long-Ranged Magicians Tengaar, Rina, Eilie, Millie 4) The Full-Fledged Magicians Luc, Mazus, Viki, Gantetsu 5) The Rock-Solid Fighters Viktor, Pesmerga, Georg, Humphrey, Rikimaru, Oulan, Miklotov, Gijimu, Hauser, Bob, L. They have strong physical and magical strengths. Their stats are all relatively high. Their weapons are very sharp at level 16, and they are not swordsman. There is another class for the swordsman. These characters are strong physically and magically, but have weapons other than swords. To give you an idea of what kind of character this is, think of Riou, the Hero. There are few characters of such strength. Make sure you use them to their fullest. 1.1) Riou (The Hero) Range: M Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 170 Recommended Runes: Bright Shield Rune, Darkness Rune, Blue Gate Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Kindness Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 612 STR 161 TCH 181 MGC 140 SPD 166 PRT 128 MDF 144 LCK 183 Magic Points: 9/5/3/1 Stats at Level 99: HP 797 STR 200 TCH 216 MGC 158 SPD 197 PRT 150 MDF 163 LCK 215 Magic Points: 9/6/3/1 Evaluation: He's the hero of the game, so you'll know him better than anyone else. He's good offensively and defensively. He's fast and has the Bright Shield Rune, which is great for healing your party members. 1.2) Tir McDohl Range: M Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 165 Recommended Runes: Rage Rune, Soul Eater, Flowing Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Poison/Down Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 620 STR 179 TCH 194 MGC 180 SPD 153 PRT 165 MDF 158 LCK 158 Magic Points: 9/7/4/2 Stats at Level 99: HP 806 STR 203 TCH 227 MGC 213 SPD 169 PRT 187 MDF 184 LCK 185 Magic Points: 9/8/5/3 Evaluation: He's as good as he was before, if not better. Tir is back, but only if you load a completed Suikoden I file. There's a nice FAQ about it here at GameFAQs. Anyways, the Soul Eater might be a rival for the best rune in the game. And in the hands of Tir, you'll have a hugely destructive party member. Otherwise, all of his stats are extremely high and his Double Leader Unite attack with Riou is also incredibly powerful. 1.3) Kahn Range: M Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 165 Recommended Runes: Darkness Rune, Resurrection Rune, Flowing Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Magic Drain Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 634 STR 131 TCH 139 MGC 147 SPD 126 PRT 116 MDF 144 LCK 107 Magic Points: 9/5/3/1 Stats at Level 99: HP 822 STR 148 TCH 162 MGC 167 SPD 154 PRT 139 MDF 165 LCK 130 Magic Points: 9/6/3/2 Evaluation: Kahn is one of the best fighters in the game. He's got all the bases covered, three runes, and lot of HP and MP. Make sure you give him your best runes, such as a Flowing Rune. 1.4) Sierra Range: S Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 135 Recommended Runes: Mother Earth Rune, Darkness Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Thunder Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 559 STR 121 TCH 124 MGC 159 SPD 150 PRT 106 MDF 143 LCK 92 Magic Points: 9/6/3/1 Stats at Level 99: HP 550 STR 142 TCH 141 MGC 188 SPD 176 PRT 129 MDF 167 LCK 115 Magic Points: 9/7/4/2 Evaluation: Her weapon isn't as sharp as it could be. But still, she's probably going to do some spell casting, anyways. Lots of MP and two rune slots are nice. High stats give her a higher standing, too. She's definitely one of the best in the game. 1.5) Nina Range: M Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 165 Recommended Runes: Lightning Rune, Fire Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Water Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 562 STR 132 TCH 116 MGC 147 SPD 127 PRT 124 MDF 156 LCK 121 Magic Points: 9/5/3/1 Stats at Level 99: HP 749 STR 153 TCH 135 MGC 174 SPD 155 PRT 149 MDF 185 LCK 145 Magic Points: 9/6/3/2 Evaluation: Wow, Nina was the character I'd least expect to be in this class of characters. But she's very well-rounded and has high stats overall. She's got a lot of MP, Strength, and Defense, too. I guess that Nina is an Easter Egg that the designers threw in. 1.6) Sigfried Range: M Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 0 (No weapon) Recommended Runes: Lightning Rune, White Saint Rune, ???????? Recommended Embedded Rune: None (Can't Embed) Stats at Level 60: HP 737 STR 489 TCH 124 MGC 142 SPD 105 PRT 192 MDF 160 LCK 93 Magic Points: 9/5/3/1 Stats at Level 99: HP 881 STR 570 TCH 142 MGC 167 SPD 130 PRT 217 MDF 188 LCK 113 Magic Points: Evaluation: His gender isn't quite known. Richmond refers to him as a "he," but when you take a bath with him, he's in the girls' side. I'll just say that he's male, but he likes his women. His attack power is through the roof and he has a unique rune alongside that. But, due to his large animal status, you might replace him for two other strong magicians instead. Stat-wise, he has no major problems, but he's a little weak on the physical defense side. Also, if he gets a critical hit, he not only stabs the enemy, but he pummels it with his front hooves. It should result in around 1300+ damage. On a side note, he gets a third rune slot sometime between level 60 and level 99. 1.7) Zamza Range: S Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 135 Recommended Runes: Fire Dragon Rune, Fire Sealing Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Fire Lizard Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 619 STR 145 TCH 131 MGC 141 SPD 105 PRT 140 MDF 147 LCK 89 Magic Points: 9/5/3/1 Stats at Level 99: HP 808 STR 170 TCH 158 MGC 167 SPD 136 PRT 154 MDF 169 LCK 108 Magic Points: Evaluation: As much as I hate to admit it, he's actually a good fighter. He's much like Siegfried, only with less attack and more defense. He's a good magician, but you might want to equip him with a Fire Sealing Rune to compliment his Fire Dragon Rune. I'll leave it up to you if you want to use a magic rune or not. BTW, don't send me a mail flaming me because I put him here. It took me a while to place him, and even I'm not sure if he belongs here. He's kind of a mix between a Powerhouse Fighter and an Average Fighter. The combination of Fire Dragon Rune + Fire Sealing Rune + Mist Robe gives him several elemental immunities and allows him to do a lot of damage every round. You can get Mist Robes from the Armor's Rare Finds in Rockaxe. ***************************************************************************** ************************2) The Magical Swordsmen***************************** ***************************************************************************** General Rating: ***** 2) About this class of characters: These characters are almost exactly the same as The Powerhouse Magicians, except that these guys use swords. Think of Flik. His magical strength is high, along with his physical strength. 2.1) Flik Range: S Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 150 Recommended Runes: Thunder Rune, Rage Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Exertion Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 631 STR 156 TCH 155 MGC 156 SPD 140 PRT 141 MDF 127 LCK 82 Magic Points: 9/6/3/1 Stats at Level 99: HP 825 STR 184 TCH 178 MGC 187 SPD 168 PRT 165 MDF 146 LCK 101 Magic Points: 9/7/4/2 Evaluation: Flik will serve you well throughout the game. His high MP and high stats all-around make him a steady party member. Replace his Lightning Rune and give him a Thunder and Rage Rune if you find some. He'll be an offensive machine. 2.2) Sheena Range: S Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 150 Recommended Runes: Thunder Rune, Earth Rune, Fire Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Down Rune Stats at Level 64: HP 575 STR 161 TCH 164 MGC 130 SPD 125 PRT 126 MDF 148 LCK 125 Magic Points: 8/5/2/1 Stats at Level 99: HP 744 STR 183 TCH 188 MGC 147 SPD 149 PRT 149 MDF 166 LCK 149 Magic Points: 9/5/3/1 Evaluation: He has high stats in every area, and if you transferred him in from Suikoden I, he'll have a sharp weapon and high level. He gets 3 runes, but his magical power is lower than other magic users. So, his magic attack strength isn't as strong as some of the other people's magic strength. 2.3) Camus Range: S Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 150 Recommended Runes: Rage Rune, Resurrection Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Stats at Level 60: HP 557 STR 141 TCH 143 MGC 130 SPD 144 PRT 146 MDF 124 LCK 126 Magic Points: 8/5/2/1 Stats at Level 99: HP 751 STR 162 TCH 170 MGC 153 SPD 172 PRT 163 MDF 148 LCK 145 Magic Points: 9/6/3/1 Evaluation: He gets more spells and is the better magically than Miklotov. He's weaker physically, though, and can only get two runes. His Rage Rune is a good compliment, though, and could very well combine with a Thunder Rune. 2.4) Anita Range: S Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 150 Recommended Runes: Falcon Rune, Water Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Down Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 630 STR 142 TCH 155 MGC 125 SPD 143 PRT 119 MDF 142 LCK 117 Magic Points: 8/5/2/1 Stats at Level 99: HP 811 STR 170 TCH 186 MGC 147 SPD 176 PRT 139 MDF 166 LCK 141 Magic Points: 9/5/3/1 Evaluation: She has high stats in all areas. None are astronomical, but high nonetheless. I gave her a Water Rune so she does some damage with her Falcon Rune and heals when the party is low on HP. 2.5) Valeria Range: S Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 150 Recommended Runes: Falcon Rune, Mother Earth Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Water Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 620 STR 160 TCH 164 MGC 104 SPD 167 PRT 127 MDF 125 LCK 143 Magic Points: 7/4/2/1 Stats at Level 99: HP 813 STR 186 TCH 191 MGC 127 SPD 197 PRT 149 MDF 144 LCK 164 Magic Points: 8/5/2/1 Evaluation: She has extremely high stats in all areas, and she's got a little bit of MP, too. She's great offensively and defensively, and is one of the better characters in the game, too. The only problem with her is that you have to choose between her and Kasumi. I actually recommend Kasumi over Valeria, because there's more storyline with Kasumi, and there are plenty of other characters to choose from. (The storyline being the fact that you can get Sasuke and Mondo early in the game, and if you do the Tir McDohl Side-Quest, bring Kasumi along for more background information on the Suikoden series.) ***************************************************************************** ************************3) The Long-Ranged Magicians************************* ***************************************************************************** General Rating: ***** 3) About this class of characters: These characters are also few, as they some of the few characters who have an L range attack plus plenty of spells to spare. If you think of Tengaar, then you're right on with the type of character this is. 3.1) Tengaar Range: L Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 140 Recommended Runes: Lightning Rune, Mother Earth Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Wind Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 558 STR 107 TCH 125 MGC 160 SPD 140 PRT 105 MDF 143 LCK 141 Magic Points: 9/6/3/2 Stats at Level 99: HP 745 STR 130 TCH 146 MGC 184 SPD 170 PRT 125 MDF 166 LCK 161 Magic Points: 9/7/4/2 Evaluation: Although her HP is kinda low, her MP is quite high. Give her a Mother Earth Rune and she'll be a good back-up support magician. Give her a Lightning Rune and she'll have good offensive strength as well. She's a favorite of mine and is always in my main party. 3.2) Rina Range: L Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 140 Recommended Runes: Lightning Rune, Resurrection Rune, Flowing Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Fire Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 502 STR 106 TCH 125 MGC 162 SPD 127 PRT 104 MDF 164 LCK 126 Magic Points: 9/6/3/2 Stats at Level 99: HP 706 STR 126 TCH 149 MGC 192 SPD 155 PRT 125 MDF 183 LCK 148 Magic Points: 9/7/4/2 Evaluation: Rina is a welcome addition to any party, especially early on in the game. She's got a lot of MP, so she can dish out a lot of firepower. A Flowing Rune is a good choice for her so she can use healing spells when necessary. A Resurrection Rune is also a good addition so she can revive downed party members. And also, a Lightning Rune is a must for any magician. 3.3) Eilie Range: L Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 140 Recommended Runes: Fire Rune, Darkness Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Lightning Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 553 STR 121 TCH 141 MGC 124 SPD 146 PRT 129 MDF 146 LCK 142 Magic Points: 8/4/2/1 Stats at Level 99: HP 742 STR 143 TCH 162 MGC 145 SPD 170 PRT 153 MDF 170 LCK 166 Magic Points: 9/5/3/1 Evaluation: Eilie gets a bit of MP if you level her up enough. It's not as much as some of the more magical people, but she still is a useful character. She's got high stats in all areas, and she's good offensively and defensively. 3.4) Millie Range: L Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 140 Recommended Runes: Darkness Rune, Wind Rune, Groundhog Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Earth Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 505 STR 84 TCH 110 MGC 124 SPD 130 PRT 111 MDF 158 LCK 178 Magic Points: 8/4/2/1 Stats at Level 99: HP 703 STR 101 TCH 129 MGC 147 SPD 157 PRT 138 MDF 183 LCK 209 Magic Points: 9/5/3/1 Evaluation: She has a ridiculously low strength. She's not meant to be a physical attacker. So instead, give her some magical runes and never let her attack physically. Unless, of course, you try to get a critical hit with her high Luck. But no, she's better with some spells. Two magic runes should do the trick. ***************************************************************************** ************************4) The Full-Fledged Magicians************************ ***************************************************************************** General Rating: **** 4) About this class of characters: These characters are much more powerful in the magical sense, but much less powerful in the physical sense. In general, they have many spells to cast, so giving them high-level runes is a must. They are characterized by their weapon, which is either a staff or a rod. These weapons are the weakest weapons in the game, as they usually only get 100 attack points. 4.1) Luc Range: S Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 100 Recommended Runes: Blue Gate Rune, Wind Rune, Darkness Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Wind Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 493 STR 56 TCH 143 MGC 204 SPD 171 PRT 57 MDF 180 LCK 56 Magic Points: 9/8/5/3 Stats at Level 99: HP 690 STR 69 TCH 166 MGC 242 SPD 202 PRT 71 MDF 212 LCK 72 Magic Points: 9/9/7/4 Evaluation: Luc is a good character early on in the game. He's got a weak defense and offense, so he does best in the back row. Give him a Blue Gate Rune when you first get him (before Two River) and give it to Riou once he reaches level 40. Later on, you'll get another Blue Gate Rune, so give it back to Luc. (SPOILER! ... ... ... You'll get another Blue Gate Rune after the second fight with Lucia. You can also get one if Viki accidentally teleports you to the second floor of the Item Shop in Radat.) 4.2) Mazus Range: S Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 100 Recommended Runes: Blue Gate Rune, Thunder Rune, Wizard Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Lightning Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 554 STR 105 TCH 126 MGC 227 SPD 132 PRT 86 MDF 98 LCK 71 Magic Points: 9/7/4/2 Stats at Level 99: HP 738 STR 124 TCH 152 MGC 268 SPD 165 PRT 114 MDF 116 LCK 88 Magic Points: 9/8/5/3 Evaluation: Mazus is probably the second strongest Full-Fledged Magician on the offensive side. He has high HP and Strength. He is very weak offensively, though. Keep him in the back row and have him cast spells until the battle is over. Give him a Wizard Rune and he'll have super-strong spells. If you give him a Wizard Rune, though, watch out when you cast Empty World from his Blue Gate Rune. It can very well do 200 damage to your party. Instead, give him a strong secondary rune such as a Thunder Rune. It can easy do 1700+ damage with the Wizard Rune. 4.3) Viki Range: S Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 100 Recommended Runes: Lightning Rune, Blinking Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Earth Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 498 STR 87 TCH 141 MGC 160 SPD 83 PRT 88 MDF 127 LCK 202 Magic Points: 9/6/3/2 Stats at Level 99: HP 692 STR 113 TCH 165 MGC 188 SPD 114 PRT 108 MDF 145 LCK 241 Magic Points: 9/7/4/2 Evaluation: Even though she's not the brightest character in the world, she does have some strong magic skills. She even has a unique Blinking Rune, which is quite rare. You can get another Blinking Rune in Rokkaku, though, so it's not totally unique. Anyways, Viki will do well with a Lightning Rune (as does any other magician in the game). The combination of a Lightning Rune and the Blinking Rune allows her to do tons of damage or create an instant win. Physically, though, she's weak and slow. 4.4) Gantetsu Range: S Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 100 Recommended Runes: Resurrection Rune, Water Rune, Pixie Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Fire Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 565 STR 119 TCH 112 MGC 125 SPD 113 PRT 141 MDF 144 LCK 122 Magic Points: 8/5/2/1 Stats at Level 99: HP 754 STR 138 TCH 135 MGC 146 SPD 142 PRT 166 MDF 165 LCK 154 Magic Points: 9/5/3/1 Evaluation: He's definitely the strongest physically within the Full-Fledged Magician class. But, he's weaker magically. He also has the bests stats out of the whole class. But, he's just not really worth using. ***************************************************************************** ************************5) The Rock-Solid Fighters*************************** ***************************************************************************** General Rating: *** 5) About this class of characters: These characters are characterized by either there top-notch attacking capabilities or their top-notch defensive capabilities. In general, these guys can equip heavy armor, but not all of them can equip the heaviest stuff. They all should have a weapon with a high attacking power, which usually is at or above 160 attack points. Most of these guys suck at magic, so make sure you put them in the front of the party and not the back. 5.1) Viktor Range: S Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 170 Recommended Runes: Double-Beat Rune, Fury Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Friendship Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 677 STR 182 TCH 122 MGC 68 SPD 118 PRT 172 MDF 128 LCK 143 Magic Points: 5/2/1/0 Stats at Level 99: HP 869 STR 210 TCH 149 MGC 90 SPD 152 PRT 203 MDF 154 LCK 159 Magic Points: 6/3/1/0 Evaluation: Ahh, Viktor. Get personality and his fighting ability matches it. Early in the game, get a Double-Beat Rune from the Cut Rabbits in the North Sparrow Pass. Once you have access to the Highland Garrison north of Muse, make sure you buy a Fury Rune from the Muse Runemaster. It's a Rare Find, so if you don't see it, reset the game and try again. Once you get to South Window, attach the two runes and Viktor will be your best front-line fighter for the rest of the game. He should kill two enemies each round due to those runes. He can easily do 1000 damage per round without critical hits! Embed a Friendship Rune on his weapon (found on a plant in the southeast part of South Window), and you have a supreme fighter. NOTE: BTW, for some reason he seemed to be left-handed in Suikoden I, and is right-handed in Suikoden II.... 5.2) Pesmerga Range: S Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 160 Recommended Runes: Killer/Double-Beat/Fury Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Rage Rune Stats at Level 75: HP 696 STR 211 TCH 156 MGC 111 SPD 123 PRT 148 MDF 175 LCK 81 Magic Points: 7/4/2/1 Stats at Level 99: HP 815 STR 235 TCH 172 MGC 123 SPD 139 PRT 159 MDF 189 LCK 91 Magic Points: 8/4/2/1 Evaluation: First off, replace that wimpy Counter Rune with a more powerful rune. A Killer Rune would be nice, and you can get one from either Tai-Ho or the Woodpeckers in the passage to Tsai's house. Now, you can do some serious damage. I transferred a level 99 Pesmerga from Suikoden I and he seems to have come into the game at level 75! He could do some major magic damage, too, but he's better as a front-line fighter then a magician. The Rage Rune on his weapon, sadly, cannot be removed. :( 5.3) Georg Range: S Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 160 Recommended Runes: Killer Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Down Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 687 STR 199 TCH 180 MGC 49 SPD 160 PRT 159 MDF 52 LCK 142 Magic Points: 4/1/0/0 Stats at Level 99: HP 878 STR 237 TCH 208 MGC 64 SPD 187 PRT 185 MDF 66 LCK 165 Magic Points: 5/2/1/0 Evaluation: Georg was a favorite of mine when I first played the game. He did quite well in Rockaxe and later. I did some Richmond investigations and found out that he's got quite a history behind him. It makes him feel even more like a tank when you do those investigations. :) 5.4) Humphrey Range: S Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 160 Recommended Runes: Double-Beat Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Down Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 744 STR 181 TCH 133 MGC 72 SPD 102 PRT 196 MDF 104 LCK 86 Magic Points: 5/2/1/0 Stats at Level 99: HP 947 STR 216 TCH 155 MGC 94 SPD 129 PRT 234 MDF 124 LCK 103 Magic Points: 6/3/1/0 Evaluation: I recommend giving Humphrey a Windspun Armor during Suikoden I. Transfer the file over and he has top-notch defense. Humphrey has a hard time taking damage with the Windspun Armor. BUT, I don't think you can change his armor during Suikoden II, so you'll have to transfer it over. It also seems that he switched from being left-handed to right-handed between games for some reason.... 5.5) Rikimaru Range: S Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 160 Recommended Runes: Fury Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Down Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 825 STR 159 TCH 125 MGC 87 SPD 106 PRT 145 MDF 89 LCK 108 Magic Points: 6/3/1/0 Stats at Level 99: HP 999 STR 184 TCH 147 MGC 114 SPD 126 PRT 169 MDF 104 LCK 129 Magic Points: 7/4/2/1 Evaluation: Early in the game, he's a very useful character. His sky-high HP is his best trait. He also starts off with a level 5 weapon, which is quite strong early on. A Fury Rune makes him even stronger. But, he sucks with magic. 5.6) Oulan Range: S Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 135 Recommended Runes: Fury Rune, Angry Dragon Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Down Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 744 STR 161 TCH 129 MGC 68 SPD 102 PRT 177 MDF 183 LCK 70 Magic Points: 5/2/1/0 Stats at Level 99: HP 941 STR 185 TCH 149 MGC 88 SPD 125 PRT 210 MDF 216 LCK 88 Magic Points: 6/3/1/0 Evaluation: Level her up a bit and she can get a second rune. Give her a Fury Rune and she'll be able to use the Angry Dragon Rune as many times as she wants. It does quite a lot of damage. 5.7) Miklotov Range: S Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 160 Recommended Runes: Knight Rune, Earth Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Stats at Level 60: HP 621 STR 175 TCH 132 MGC 111 SPD 126 PRT 166 MDF 127 LCK 123 Magic Points: 7/4/2/1 Stats at Level 99: HP 815 STR 205 TCH 161 MGC 135 SPD 166 PRT 194 MDF 148 LCK 143 Magic Points: 9/5/2/1 Evaluation: He isn't as much of a physical fighter, but he gets a lot of Attack strength as well as high stats all around. He can also equip heavy armor and has some magical power, too. Unlike Camus, he's stronger as a physical fighter and not a magical fighter, but you can give him a magic rune, nonetheless. 5.8) Gijimu Range: M Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 175 Recommended Runes: Double-Beat Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Down Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 681 STR 161 TCH 104 MGC 89 SPD 148 PRT 143 MDF 105 LCK 125 Magic Points: 6/3/1/0 Stats at Level 99: HP 873 STR 190 TCH 129 MGC 116 SPD 167 PRT 175 MDF 122 LCK 144 Magic Points: 8/4/2/1 Evaluation: He's rather unique in that he's a Medium ranged fighter, with through the roof Attack strength and can equip the heaviest armor. All these good statistics lead to a super-strong fighter, and he also gets a Double-Beat Rune to compliment his strength. His weapon also has a 175 attack strength, which adds even more to his power. 5.9) Hauser Range: S Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 160 Recommended Runes: Titan Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Down Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 684 STR 180 TCH 127 MGC 116 SPD 106 PRT 162 MDF 111 LCK 106 Magic Points: 8/4/2/1 Stats at Level 99: HP 879 STR 216 TCH 141 MGC 137 SPD 131 PRT 192 MDF 131 LCK 128 Magic Points: 9/5/2/1 Evaluation: Although he would be a good candidate for the Magical Swordsman class, his one-rune limitation brings him down to the Rock-Solid Fighter class. He'd be good with a Titan Rune. 5.10) Bob Range: M Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 165 Recommended Runes: Rabid Fang Rune, Double Beat Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Fire Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 680 STR 119 TCH 123 MGC 104 SPD 151 PRT 145 MDF 165 LCK 88 Magic Points: 7/4/2/1 Stats at Level 99: HP 864 STR 141 TCH 143 MGC 127 SPD 173 PRT 170 MDF 188 LCK 114 Magic Points: 8/5/2/1 Evaluation: There's only one reason why I put him in the Rock Solid Fighter class and not the Above Average class - the Rabid Fang Rune. When his weapon is maxed out, he gets three rounds of 400+ damage. It's even better with a Double-Beat Rune, because he get two attacks, making it almost 1000 damage per round! Also, his M range is also nice, so you can put him in the back row. 5.11) L. C. They get as much MP as if they had a Magic stat of 100, but their stats are at 50+. Anyways, Long Chan-Chan is a good fighter, and his White Tiger Rune is also a nice rune to have. His HP is through the roof, too. 5.12) Wakaba Range: S Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 135 Recommended Runes: White Tiger Rune, Lion Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Fire Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 736 STR 146 TCH 154 MGC 57 SPD 165 PRT 132 MDF 80 LCK 162 Magic Points: 7/4/2/1 Stats at Level 99: HP 926 STR 169 TCH 187 MGC 80 SPD 200 PRT 156 MDF 103 LCK 192 Magic Points: 8/5/2/1 Evaluation: An interesting thing about Wakaba and Long Chan-Chan is that their MP acquisition pattern is different from all of the other characters. Based on these stats, however, Rulodia is a very strong party member, with a whopping 443 Attacking power at level 60! She's got some MP, too and some fairly high stats. It's not recommended that you allow Rulodia to join your army, though, because you cannot get all 108 Stars if you recruit her. ***************************************************************************** ************************6) Above Average Fighters**************************** ***************************************************************************** General Rating: *** 6) About this class of characters: These characters will do well as either fighters or magicians. They generally don't get much MP until the very end of the game, which throws them into a status where they are more versatile, but there's less of a chance of having them in the party in exchange for a powerful fighter or a powerful magician. 6.1) Nanami Range: M Weapon Level 15 Attack Power: 145 Recommended Runes: Water Rune, Balance/Spark Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Earth Rune Stats at Level 56: HP 480 STR 127 TCH 151 MGC 100 SPD 165 PRT 120 MDF 139 LCK 140 Magic Points: 7/4/2/1 Stats at Level 99: HP 709 STR 158 TCH 182 MGC 124 SPD 207 PRT 151 MDF 168 LCK 167 Magic Points: 8/4/2/1 Evaluation: Throughout the game, you'll have to have Nanami as a party member. But, her MP is not as high as it should be, and when she really starts to get some MP, it becomes obsolete due to story purposes. She's got some good stats in the other areas, but more or less she's a much weaker version of Riou. She can do the Family Attack Unite attack with Riou, and if you give her a Balance Rune, you'll be able to do it every round. But later on, when Riou gets multiple runes, you could do more damage by having Riou cast spells and have Nanami heal the party with a Water Rune. 6.2) Freedy Y (AKA Freed Yamamoto) Range: S Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 150 Recommended Runes: Draining Rune, Mother Earth Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Lightning Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 560 STR 126 TCH 117 MGC 108 SPD 125 PRT 128 MDF 122 LCK 174 Magic Points: 7/4/2/1 Stats at Level 99: HP 745 STR 147 TCH 143 MGC 133 SPD 145 PRT 147 MDF 143 LCK 207 Magic Points: 8/5/2/1 Evaluation: His stats are all around 120, so he's better than most. He's got low HP, so he's kept out of the Magical Swordsman class. 6.3) Yoshino Range: M Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 140 Recommended Runes: Lightning Rune, Resurrection Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Magic Drain Stats at Level 60: HP 552 STR 106 TCH 126 MGC 123 SPD 122 PRT 106 MDF 125 LCK 146 Magic Points: 8/4/2/1 Stats at Level 99: HP 740 STR 133 TCH 150 MGC 143 SPD 151 PRT 136 MDF 147 LCK 166 Magic Points: 9/5/3/1 Evaluation: I happen to think that Yoshino is one of the coolest characters in the game. The Naginata is a sweet weapon, even though it's not the most powerful. But for Yoshino, she has no major stat problems. She's got some good MP, and can dish out some damage with a good rune. 6.4) Karen Range: M Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 165 Recommended Runes: Darkness Rune, Twin Ring Rune, Balance Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Sleep Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 550 STR 126 TCH 128 MGC 129 SPD 127 PRT 109 MDF 127 LCK 144 Magic Points: 8/5/2/1 Stats at Level 99: HP 726 STR 157 TCH 149 MGC 148 SPD 155 PRT 126 MDF 148 LCK 165 Magic Points: 9/5/3/1 Evaluation: Well, she ALMOST belongs in the Powerhouse Magician class. However, she only equips light armor and her physical attacking power isn't the greatest. Still, she's got good magical powers and her stats are all above 100. Give her a Balance Rune to compliment her Twin Ring Rune, and then give her a Darkness Rune so she has a good rune. The Darkness Rune by itself is good as a stand-alone magic rune. 6.5) Futch Range: M Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 140 Recommended Runes: Spark Rune, Gale Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Sleep Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 558 STR 132 TCH 142 MGC 115 SPD 162 PRT 110 MDF 105 LCK 160 Magic Points: 8/4/2/1 Stats at Level 99: HP 749 STR 151 TCH 168 MGC 141 SPD 189 PRT 130 MDF 128 LCK 184 Magic Points: 9/5/3/1 Evaluation: Futch gets a lot of MP late in the game. Too bad you can't give him any runes when you do the Kent and the Dragon side-quest. Actually, if you give him a Spark Rune, Gale Rune, and Sleep Rune, you can do a lot of damage. The Spark Rune and Gale Runes ensure that your entire party attacks right away, and his Sleep Rune puts enemies to sleep, allowing for some extra damage by your hard hitters. He also gets multiple attacks per turn. 6.6) Lorelai Range: M Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: Recommended Runes: Gozz Rune, Draining Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Sleep Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 553 STR 128 TCH 165 MGC 121 SPD 145 PRT 125 MDF 164 LCK 124 Magic Points: 8/4/2/1 Stats at Level 99: HP 749 STR 153 TCH 193 MGC 144 SPD 168 PRT 149 MDF 188 LCK 142 Magic Points: 9/5/3/1 Evaluation: I gave her a Gozz Rune for a more versatile army. You COULD give her a Killer Rune so she has a high chance of being able to use her Draining Rune. Plus, you'll do a lot of damage on the side. 6.7) Tai Ho Range: M Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 140 Recommended Runes: Draining Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Sleep Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 556 STR 142 TCH 161 MGC 112 SPD 132 PRT 117 MDF 139 LCK 131 Magic Points: 7/4/2/1 Stats at Level 99: HP 741 STR 171 TCH 188 MGC 133 SPD 157 PRT 147 MDF 163 LCK 150 Magic Points: 8/5/2/1 Evaluation: He's got high stats overall, but he's limited to one rune. 6.8) Killey Range: M Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 165 Recommended Runes: Darkness Rune, Fire Rune, Earth Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Poison Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 560 STR 124 TCH 122 MGC 109 SPD 141 PRT 143 MDF 145 LCK 128 Magic Points: 7/4/2/1 Stats at Level 99: HP 745 STR 148 TCH 140 MGC 128 SPD 172 PRT 172 MDF 172 LCK 154 Magic Points: 8/5/2/1 Evaluation: Overall, he's a bit strong. His low HP and fairly low MP bring him down to the Above Average Fighter class of characters. He can equip 3 runes, though, which is always nice. He just doesn't have any outstanding characteristics. 6.9) Lo Wen Range: L Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 140 Recommended Runes: Water Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Down Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 624 STR 144 TCH 124 MGC 104 SPD 126 PRT 129 MDF 127 LCK 143 Magic Points: 7/4/2/1 Stats at Level 99: HP 808 STR 168 TCH 149 MGC 128 SPD 145 PRT 147 MDF 149 LCK 170 Magic Points: 8/5/2/1 Evaluation: She's got high stats overall. Her one rune limitation, however, keeps her out of the Long Ranged Magician class of characters. A good fighter overall. 6.10) Sasuke Range: L Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 140 Recommended Runes: Killer Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Sleep Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 556 STR 121 TCH 162 MGC 109 SPD 184 PRT 129 MDF 108 LCK 128 Magic Points: 7/4/2/1 Stats at Level 99: HP 754 STR 142 TCH 183 MGC 132 SPD 217 PRT 154 MDF 129 LCK 154 Magic Points: 8/5/2/1 Evaluation: He's got a ton of Speed and Technique, so he's fast, dodges well, and always seems to get a hit. His Killer rune also allows him to get critical hits all the time. But, he's limited to just one rune slot. But still, he's a really good fighter. 6.11) Mondo Range: S Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 135 Recommended Runes: Mayfly Rune, Balance Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Sleep Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 628 STR 146 TCH 142 MGC 103 SPD 149 PRT 145 MDF 128 LCK 126 Magic Points: 7/4/2/1 Stats at Level 99: HP 816 STR 178 TCH 164 MGC 126 SPD 173 PRT 173 MDF 148 LCK 147 Magic Points: 8/5/2/1 Evaluation: He's much like Sasuke, only Short ranged. His Mayfly Rune works well when you combine it with a Balance Rune. Really good stats overall. ***************************************************************************** ************************7) The Average Fighters****************************** ***************************************************************************** General Rating: ** 7) About this class of characters: This is basically everyone else, with a few exceptions. His attack strength is good, though. A fighting rune such as a Double-Beat Rune will suit him well. 7.S.2) Kasumi Range: S Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 135 Recommended Runes: Shrike Rune, Lion Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Poison Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 554 STR 126 TCH 161 MGC 58 SPD 200 PRT 107 MDF 94 LCK 146 Magic Points: 7/4/2/1 Stats at Level 99: HP 741 STR 151 TCH 185 MGC 87 SPD 256 PRT 130 MDF 122 LCK 170 Magic Points: 9/5/2/1 Evaluation: Not the greatest fighter in the world. But still, she's got some MP, although it's pretty useless because once she gets that much, she's already an obsolete character. She's better as a front-row character, but she's not much of a use there, unless you do a Ninja Attack with Mondo. 7.S.3) Shin Range: S Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 160 Recommended Runes: Spider Slay Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Down Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 552 STR 142 TCH 180 MGC 101 SPD 129 PRT 109 MDF 81 LCK 179 Magic Points: 7/4/2/1 Stats at Level 99: HP 739 STR 165 TCH 214 MGC 125 SPD 147 PRT 132 MDF 106 LCK 211 Magic Points: 8/5/2/1 Evaluation: He's super strong offensively, but that's about it. His super weak Defense, Magic Defense, and one-rune limitation bring down his standing in the list. He DOES, however, have an extremely high critical hit rate, though, and his Spider Slay Rune is nice, but you only get to use it once per battle. 7.S.4) Genshu Range: S Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 160 Recommended Runes: Swallow Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Silence Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 556 STR 146 TCH 146 MGC 106 SPD 145 PRT 133 MDF 107 LCK 140 Magic Points: 7/4/2/1 Stats at Level 99: HP 743 STR 172 TCH 171 MGC 122 SPD 173 PRT 158 MDF 125 LCK 165 Magic Points: 8/4/2/1 Evaluation: He's a cool character, but his HP is low. His MP is also useless due to the fact that he can only have his one rune, the Swallow Rune. His other stats are quite high, but he's a very limited character. 7.S.5) Bolgan Range: S Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 135 Recommended Runes: Fire Breath Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Fire Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 684 STR 185 TCH 85 MGC 72 SPD 68 PRT 146 MDF 106 LCK 158 Magic Points: 5/2/1/0 Stats at Level 99: HP 875 STR 218 TCH 107 MGC 90 SPD 74 PRT 170 MDF 120 LCK 186 Magic Points: 6/3/1/0 Evaluation: He's got some strength in his punches, but his low Tech stat means he might not always get a hit. His Luck stat, however, counters this allowing for a critical hit more often than some people. Other than that, half of his stats are high, and the other half are low. He would almost belong in the Rock-Solid Fighter class, but his stats and weak weapon bring him down to the Average Fighter class. 7.S.6) Gengen Range: S Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 150 Recommended Runes: Draining Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Down Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 562 STR 127 TCH 147 MGC 110 SPD 129 PRT 125 MDF 96 LCK 162 Magic Points: 7/4/2/1 Stats at Level 99: HP 751 STR 151 TCH 170 MGC 132 SPD 151 PRT 143 MDF 121 LCK 193 Magic Points: 8/5/2/1 Evaluation: His low HP and one rune limitation are what bring him down. Otherwise, he's and ok fighter. 7.S.7) Badeaux Range: S Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 165 Recommended Runes: Resurrection Rune, Howling Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Lightning Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 627 STR 127 TCH 121 MGC 101 SPD 138 PRT 124 MDF 121 LCK 105 Magic Points: 7/4/2/1 Stats at Level 99: HP 808 STR 150 TCH 143 MGC 123 SPD 162 PRT 149 MDF 147 LCK 129 Magic Points: 8/4/2/1 Evaluation: His stats are all above-average, but nothing too special. His Howling Rune is pretty useless unless you're an animal buff. I'd give him a Resurrection Rune in case you DO use animals. That way, you can revive them. 7.S.8) Vincent Range: S Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 150 Recommended Runes: Wind Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Water Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 553 STR 128 TCH 170 MGC 105 SPD 126 PRT 105 MDF 159 LCK 109 Magic Points: 7/4/2/1 Stats at Level 99: HP 735 STR 151 TCH 201 MGC 125 SPD 159 PRT 129 MDF 188 LCK 134 Magic Points: 8/5/2/1 Evaluation: He's limited to one rune, and his stats are high, but the wrong stats are the highest of all his stats. Low HP for a fighter. 7.S.9) Hanna Range: S Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 150 Recommended Runes: Viper Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: Wind Rune Stats at Level 60: HP 625 STR 145 TCH 145 MGC 88 SPD 106 PRT 166 MDF 115 LCK 124 Magic Points: 6/3/1/0 Stats at Level 99: HP 811 STR 171 TCH 168 MGC 112 SPD 123 PRT 192 MDF 134 LCK 140 Magic Points: 7/4/2/1 Evaluation: She's got good stats, but they aren't as high as they should be to be a good character. She almost gets 300 Attack when you combine her weapon into her attack power, but some of the better fighters have well over 300 Attack. Her Magic is below average, so she's better off with a Viper Rune for diversity. I don't recommend her very much. 7.S.10) Shiro Range: S Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 0 (No Weapon) Recommended Runes: Counter Rune Recommended Embedded Rune: None (No Weapon) Stats at Level 60: HP 557 STR 272 TCH 140 MGC 109 SPD 187 PRT 239 MDF 145 LCK 145 Magic Points: 7/4/2/1 Stats at Level 99: HP 752 STR 327 TCH 160 MGC 128 SPD 219 PRT 281 MDF 169 LCK 169 Magic Points: 8/5/2/1 Evaluation: Well, all of his stats are quite high. But, due to his animal status, he can't equip weapons nor armor. He has a lower HP than others, but his MP is high enough that he can cast a level 4 spell. Still, I prefer that he equips a Counter Rune due to his high Speed, Tech, and Luck stats. (You can get a Counter Rune from Pesmerga.)

HP 750 STR 190 TCH 148 MGC 128 SPD 193 PRT 83 MDF 162 LCK 169
Magic Points: 8/5/2/1
Evaluation: He gets three runes, so I dumped all of my useless runes on him.
Is incredibly low Defense keeps him out of the main party, but his high
Attack makes up for it.
7.M.3) Tsai
Range: M
Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 140
Recommended Runes: Unicorn Rune, Medicine Rune
Recommended Embedded Rune: Sleep Rune
Stats at Level 60:

HP 741 STR 144 TCH 208 MGC 128 SPD 147 PRT 172 MDF 141 LCK 190
Magic Points: 8/5/2/1
Evaluation: He and Tomo are a lot alike. High stats, low HP, and low MP.
7.M.4) Tomo
Range: M
Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 140
Recommended Runes: Unicorn Rune, Fury Rune
Recommended Embedded Rune: Sleep Rune
Stats at Level 60:
HP 556 STR 142 TCH 163 MGC 105 SPD 154 PRT 125 MDF 127 LCK 134

HP 742 STR 171 TCH 195 MGC 123 SPD 173 PRT 148 MDF 142 LCK 157
Magic Points: 8/4/2/1
Evaluation: All of her stats are pretty good, but a weak weapon and low MP
keep her out of the higher ranks. She doesn't have the greatest HP, either.
7.M.5) Koyu
Range: M
Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 175
Recommended Runes: Gale Rune
Recommended Embedded Rune: Sleep Rune
Stats at Level 60:
HP 557 STR 107 TCH 126 MGC 100 SPD 149 PRT 98 MDF 142 LCK 129

Stats at Level 99:
HP 746 STR 130 TCH 145 MGC 122 SPD 180 PRT 119 MDF 171 LCK 152
Magic Points: 8/4/2/1
Evaluation: He's a good fighter overall, but has a very weak Defense stat.
His Gale Rune is very nice, allowing you to get multiple hits due to high
Speed.
7.M.7) Amada
Range: M
Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 140
Recommended Runes: Violence Rune
Recommended Embedded Rune: Earth Rune
Stats at Level 60:
HP 744 STR 142 TCH 106 MGC 84 SPD 111 PRT 144 MDF 108 LCK 115

Stats at Level 99:
HP 947 STR 169 TCH 125 MGC 106 SPD 128 PRT 164 MDF 134 LCK 143
Magic Points: 7/4/2/1
Evaluation: He's got a lot of HP, and when paired with Rikimaru, they can do
the Manly Attack. But, alone he's not as good. Low MP and low stats puts
him on the sidelines for most of the game.
7.M.8) Hoi
Range: M
Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 165
Recommended Runes: Blinking Rune, ????????
Recommended Embedded Rune: Technique Rune
Stats at Level 60:
HP 498 STR 107 TCH 143 MGC 93 SPD 160 PRT 111 MDF 88 LCK 179
Magic Points: 6/3/1/0
Stats at Level 99:
HP 695 STR 133 TCH 171 MGC 119 SPD 189 PRT 132 MDF 107 LCK 214
Magic Points: 8/4/2/1
Evaluation: Not the greatest fighter. I gave him the extra Blinking Rune
because I thought it would be funny to have a thief with some teleporting
abilities. Also, he has a Unite attack with Riou. On a side note, he gets a
second rune slot sometime between level 60 and level 99.
7.M.9) Abizboah
Range: M
Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 0 (No weapon)
Recommended Runes: Blue Drop Rune
Recommended Embedded Rune: None (No weapon)
Stats at Level 60:

Magic Points: 5/2/1/0
Stats at Level 99:
HP 976 STR 638 TCH 107 MGC 89 SPD 71 PRT 282 MDF 86 LCK 171
Magic Points: 6/3/1/0
Evaluation: These stats may not be accurate, as I used a Codebreaker to
import Abizboah. He probably has the highest Strength rating in the game,
but that's all he's got. He's got below average stats in every other area.

7.L.1) Clive
Range: L
Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 140
Recommended Runes: Kite Rune
Recommended Embedded Rune: Fire Rune
Stats at Level 60:
HP 552 STR 127 TCH 204 MGC 91 SPD 162 PRT 103 MDF 123 LCK 82
Magic Points: 6/3/1/0
Stats at Level 99:
HP 747 STR 144 TCH 243 MGC 112 SPD 196 PRT 120 MDF 144 LCK 108
Magic Points: 7/4/2/1
Evaluation: Clive isn't very much different from his Suikoden I counterpart.
His level will be greatly reduced from your S1 file, starting around level
20. If you plan on doing the Clive and Elza side-quest, bring him along only
when it's necessary, due to his lack of magic power. His good perks are that
he's fast and he will almost always hit his target.
7.L.2) Stallion
Range: L
Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 147
Recommended Runes: True Holy Rune, Champion's Rune
Recommended Embedded Rune: Sleep Rune
Stats at Level 60:
HP 557 STR 126 TCH 140 MGC 103 SPD 213 PRT 104 MDF 144 LCK 108
Magic Points: 7/4/2/1
Stats at Level 99:
HP 748 STR 149 TCH 162 MGC 127 SPD 258 PRT 126 MDF 164 LCK 129
Magic Points: 8/5/2/1
Evaluation: I give Stallion the Champion's Rune that you get in L'Renouille.
That way, you can put him in your party and go wherever you need to go. The
trip to Sajah will go much faster with this combination. Average fighter
overall. Excellent Speed.
7.L.3) Meg
Range: L
Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 140
Recommended Runes: Water Rune, Trick Rune
Recommended Embedded Rune: Water Rune
Stats at Level 60:
HP 479 STR 104 TCH 142 MGC 105 SPD 132 PRT 105 MDF 146 LCK 197
Magic Points: 7/4/2/1
Stats at Level 99:
HP 697 STR 126 TCH 166 MGC 125 SPD 155 PRT 124 MDF 165 LCK 231
Magic Points: 8/5/2/1
Evaluation: Her core stats (HP, Strength, Magic, and Protection) are all
rather low, so she's not the greatest fighter. The Trick Rune is almost
useless, too.
7.L.4) Kinnison
Range: L
Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 147
Recommended Runes: Double-Beat Rune, Killer Rune
Recommended Embedded Rune: Wind Rune
Stats at Level 60:
HP 560 STR 128 TCH 161 MGC 106 SPD 145 PRT 123 MDF 145 LCK 145
Magic Points: 7/4/2/1
Stats at Level 99:
HP 756 STR 149 TCH 184 MGC 131 SPD 182 PRT 143 MDF 169 LCK 173
Magic Points: 8/5/2/1
Evaluation: He is actually a fairly good fighter. But, low physical stats
(HP, Defense, and Attack), are his worst features. He's got some MP, but I
don't think it's good enough for a magic rune. He has a tendency to get
multiple hits, and a Killer Rune + Double Beat Rune helps this out.
7.L.5) Ayda
Range: L
Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 147
Recommended Runes: Great Hawk Rune, Earth Rune
Recommended Embedded Rune: Earth Rune
Stats at Level 60:
HP 550 STR 126 TCH 145 MGC 105 SPD 159 PRT 128 MDF 124 LCK 163
Magic Points: 7/4/2/1
Stats at Level 99:
HP 743 STR 148 TCH 168 MGC 122 SPD 190 PRT 150 MDF 139 LCK 188
Magic Points: 8/4/2/1
Evaluation: She's almost a carbon copy of Kinnison. Her stats are very
similar to his, except that she's faster and has a higher chance of getting a
critical hit. She's weaker physically, though, and has much less Magic
Defense. Kinnison is the more rounded of the two.
7.L.6) Shilo
Range: L
Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 140
Recommended Runes: Skunk Rune
Recommended Embedded Rune: Poison Rune
Stats at Level 60:
HP 554 STR 123 TCH 207 MGC 103 SPD 136 PRT 108 MDF 106 LCK 161
Magic Points: 7/4/2/1
Stats at Level 99:
HP 749 STR 142 TCH 246 MGC 124 SPD 155 PRT 131 MDF 132 LCK 185
Magic Points: 8/4/2/1
Evaluation: His Technique stat is extremely high, but that's about it.
7.L.7) Simone
Range: L
Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 140
Recommended Runes: Wind Rune
Recommended Embedded Rune: Earth Rune
Stats at Level 60:
HP 561 STR 131 TCH 147 MGC 122 SPD 121 PRT 111 MDF 171 LCK 107
Magic Points: 8/4/2/1
Stats at Level 99:
HP 753 STR 156 TCH 173 MGC 141 SPD 151 PRT 133 MDF 198 LCK 128
Magic Points: 9/5/3/1
Evaluation: Although he has a lot of MP, his low HP, Defense, Attack and one-
rune limit bring him down to the Average Fighter class. He's pretty bland if
you ask me.
*****************************************************************************
************************8) The Horrible Fighters*****************************
*****************************************************************************
General Rating: *
8) About this class of characters:
These characters are characters you should never use unless you want a true
challenge. They are based on horrible HP and horrible MP. Use these
characters if you want to do a challenge like Final Fantasy X's No Sphere
Grid Challenge or Final Fantasy Tactic's Same Job Class Challenge. These
characters should be forgotten otherwise.
8.1) Tuta
Range: L
Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 140
Recommended Runes: Chimera Rune, Medicine Rune
Recommended Embedded Rune: Earth
Stats at Level 60:
HP 333 STR 90 TCH 103 MGC 87 SPD 151 PRT 66 MDF 108 LCK 146
Magic Points: 6/3/1/0
Stats at Level 99:
HP 512 STR 111 TCH 125 MGC 173 SPD 173 PRT 86 MDF 130 LCK 173
Magic Points: 7/4/2/1
Evaluation: Make sure to embed an earth rune on his weapon. It'll give some
extra defense which he desperately needs. A super-low HP count as well as
almost no power makes him a person you will never choose unless you want a
challenge.
8.2) Hai Yo
Range: S
Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 165
Recommended Runes: Hazy Rune, Barrier Rune, ?????????
Recommended Embedded Rune: Down
Stats at Level 60:
HP 547 STR 105 TCH 108 MGC 103 SPD 125 PRT 123 MDF 104 LCK 129
Magic Points: 7/4/2/1
Stats at Level 99:
HP 739 STR 123 TCH 130 MGC 127 SPD 148 PRT 140 MDF 129 LCK 150
Magic Points: 8/5/2/1
Evaluation: Most of the good stats border around 100, which is not very good.
Two rune are nice, but Hai Yo is best left in the kitchen. Also, he gets a
third rune slot between level 60 and level 99.
8.3) Gabocha
Range: L
Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 140
Recommended Runes: Alert Rune
Recommended Embedded Rune: Wind Rune
Stats at Level 60:
HP 500 STR 111 TCH 157 MGC 108 SPD 152 PRT 106 MDF 110 LCK 166
Magic Points: 7/4/2/1
Stats at Level 99:
HP 698 STR 128 TCH 184 MGC 128 SPD 177 PRT 129 MDF 127 LCK 190
Magic Points: 8/5/2/1
Evaluation: His stats, like Hai Yo, all border around 100. But, his
ridiculously low Defense and HP keep him away from the front lines.
8.4) Gadget
Range: M
Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 0 (No Weapon)
Recommended Runes: None (Can't equip runes)
Recommended Embedded Rune: None (No Weapon)
Stats at Level 60:
HP 555 STR 281 TCH 141 MGC 53 SPD 121 PRT 385 MDF 132 LCK 108
Magic Points: 4/1/0/0
Stats at Level 99:
HP 740 STR 325 TCH 164 MGC 70 SPD 143 PRT 464 MDF 152 LCK 125
Magic Points: 5/2/1/0
Evaluation: While he has good physical attacking strength and defensive
strength, that's all he has. He has absolutely no versatility due to the
fact that he can't equip any runes, and all he can really do is Unite with
Meg in battle. He's quite useless.
8.5) Mukumuku
Range: L
Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 0 (No weapon)
Recommended Runes: Fire Rune
Recommended Embedded Rune: None (No weapon)
Stats at Level 60:
HP 429 STR 237 TCH 103 MGC 82 SPD 147 PRT 180 MDF 109 LCK 104
Magic Points: 6/3/1/0
Stats at Level 99:
HP 615 STR 288 TCH 124 MGC 104 SPD 172 PRT 226 MDF 131 LCK 130
Magic Points: 7/4/2/1
Evaluation: Pretty average in most areas, but he has a low HP and magical
prowess. He's like all of the other squirrels, is not a good party member.
His only usefulness is to recruit him in Kyaro Town to make those battles
much easier due to your lack of characters. If you don't recruit him in
Kyaro, it's a bit of a pain to recruit him otherwise.
8.6) Makumaku
Range: L
Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 0 (No weapon)
Recommended Runes: Water Rune, (Fighting-type) Rune (I gave him a Sylph Rune
just because)
Recommended Embedded Rune: None (No weapon)
Stats at Level 60:
HP 382 STR 147 TCH 108 MGC 123 SPD 143 PRT 191 MDF 119 LCK 108
Magic Points: 8/4/2/1
Stats at Level 99:
HP 550 STR 187 TCH 131 MGC 140 SPD 170 PRT 237 MDF 143 LCK 131
Magic Points: 9/5/3/1
Evaluation: Well, it LOOKS like he's got good stats. But, if you look
harder, you'll see that they aren't as good. He has a ridiculously low
attack power. Due to his lack of a weapon, he won't ever do much damage.
He's also limited to a Water Rune and some other type of fighting rune. Most
of the fighting runes won't do much good as he doesn't do much damage in the
first place. As for a Water Rune, it doesn't do well as a stand-alone rune.
Then there's that ridiculously low HP.
8.7) Mikumiku
Range: L
Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 0 (No weapon)
Recommended Runes: Wind Rune
Recommended Embedded Rune: None (No weapon)
Stats at Level 60:
HP 433 STR 195 TCH 106 MGC 92 SPD 178 PRT 182 MDF 81 LCK 101
Magic Points: 6/3/1/0
Stats at Level 99:
HP 621 STR 250 TCH 131 MGC 117 SPD 212 PRT 237 MDF 104 LCK 121
Magic Points: 8/4/2/1
Evaluation: Nice and fast; she's even faster than Riou. But... that's her
only quirk. She has a lower-than-average Strength, and her defensive end is
quite low. Also, none of her stats are very high besides Speed.
8.8) Mekumeku
Range: L
Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 0 (No weapon)
Recommended Runes: Lightning Rune
Recommended Embedded Rune: None (No weapon)
Stats at Level 60:
HP 443 STR 237 TCH 113 MGC 89 SPD 129 PRT 195 MDF 86 LCK 145
Magic Points: 6/3/1/0
Stats at Level 99:
HP 629 STR 288 TCH 141 MGC 111 SPD 146 PRT 239 MDF 106 LCK 167
Magic Points: 7/4/2/1
Evaluation: He's one of the better squirrels. His Lightning Rune bumps him
up in the squirrel ranking. But still, he's not meant to be a main party
member unless you want a challenge.
8.9) Mokumoku
Range: L
Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 0 (No weapon)
Recommended Runes: Earth Rune
Recommended Embedded Rune: None (Can't Embed)
Stats at Level 60:
HP 554 STR 277 TCH 69 MGC 73 SPD 104 PRT 275 MDF 108 LCK 105
Magic Points: 5/2/1/0
Stats at Level 99:
HP 751 STR 336 TCH 85 MGC 95 SPD 122 PRT 316 MDF 133 LCK 134
Magic Points: 7/3/1/0
Evaluation: Well, for all the trouble you have to go through to get him, he's
not a very good fighter. His super-low TECH stat makes him miss almost all
the time. He does, however, have the highest HP and Defense of all the
squirrels in the game. The only reason you should get him is so you can get
the special scene in the end of the game.
8.10) Chuchara
Range: S
Weapon Level 16 Attack Power: 0 (No weapon)
Recommended Runes: Barrier Rune
Recommended Embedded Rune: None (No weapon)
Stats at Level 60:
HP 338 STR 81 TCH 144 MGC 90 SPD 106 PRT 319 MDF 84 LCK 162
Magic Points: 6/3/1/0
Stats at Level 99:
HP 999 STR 123 TCH 169 MGC 109 SPD 131 PRT 378 MDF 111 LCK 191
Magic Points: 7/4/2/1
Evaluation: These stats may not be accurate, as I imported Chuchara via a
Codebreaker. If they ARE accurate, Chuchara is probably the weakest
character in the game. But then, after boosting his level to 99, take a look
at his stats. His HP skyrockets to 999 for some odd reason. Then, he
suddenly become well-rounded except for the attacking strength. There's no
reason how I can explain this, other than an effect of a Codebreaker.

************************11) FAQ**********************************************
*****************************************************************************
This section will cover the most frequently asked questions about character
recruitment. It's small now, but I plan to update it when I get more
e-mails.
SUPER SPOILER NOTICE!
The intro says stuff about me trying to be spoiler free. Well this section
reveals a big chunk of information about the end of the game.
Q: How do I revive Nanami?
A: You must recruit all 108 Stars before the battle in Rockaxe. Get everyone
before you gather everyone in the meeting room. Leknaat will unlock the seal
on the Bright Shield Rune so you can use the 4th spell. Then, continue with
the story until Gorduo is about to shoot arrows at Nanami. Make sure you
yell "Nanami!" during this little scene. If you did it right, Riou will go
into a defensive position. Afterwards, you'll be back in the castle. If
everything is done correctly, Huan will call Shu into the doctor's office
after he announces Nanami's death. Beat the final boss and head to Kyaro.
Go to the mountains north of Kyaro and find Jowy. Defend in every battle and
refuse to take his rune. The Bright Shield rune will heal Jowy instead of
there being an endless loop that will force you to take his rune. Leave the
area afterwards and Shu will come and find you. He tells you that Nanami is
still alive. The final cut scene occurs, and Nanami is alive in it.
NOTE: Do not let anyone die during a war scene. Kiba is the only exception.
