FAQ========= * * * * * * * * * * * * * =====A. Car List===== There are 9 cars in NFS II: 1. McLaren F1 2. Ferrari F50 3. Ford GT90 4. Jaguar XJ220 5. Lotus GT1 6. Lotus Esprit V8 7. Italdesign Cala 8. Isdera Commendatore 112i 9. Ford Indigo(This car is only available with the use of a code, but it has a showcase and everything, so I included it.) 1. McLaren F1 Stats: Acceleration-4/5 Top Speed-5/5 Braking-5/5 Handling-3/5 Price: $873,000 Weight: 2509 lbs. Weight Dist., f/r: 41.2%/58.8% Length: 168.8 in. Width: 71.6 in. Height: 44.8 in. Performance: Top Speed: 231 mph 0-60: 3.2 sec. 0-100: 6.3 sec. Comments: Obviously the best car of the bunch, its Top Speed is higher than any other car in the game. Its only drawback is its handling, which makes this car best suited for tracks with easy turns. 2. Ferrari F50 Stats: Acceleration-5/5 Top Speed-4/5 Braking-4/5 Handling-4/5 Price: $500,000 Weight: 3080 lbs. Weight dist, f/r: 40.9%/59.1% Length: 176.4 in. Width: 78.2 in. Height: 44.1 in. Performance: Top Speed: 202 mph 0-60: 3.7 sec. 0-100: 6.0 sec. Comments: With good performance all around, the Ferrari F50 makes a perfect car for beginners. 3. Ford GT90 Stats: Acceleration-5/5 Top Speed-5/5 Braking-3.5/5 Handling-3/5 Price: Not for sale(prototype) Weight: 3200 lbs. Weight dist., f/r: 42%/58% Length: 176 in. Width: 77.3 in. Height: 44.9 in. Performance: Top Speed: 220+ mph 0-60: 3.1 sec 0-100: 6.2 sec. Comments: The GT90 is an experimental prototype, so you'll probably never see this baby in production. This car has the best acceleration of all the cars. 4. Jaguar XJ220 Stats: Acceleration-3.5/5 Top Speed-4/5 Braking-4/5 Handling3/5 Price: $330,000 Weight: 3241 lbs. Weight dist, f/r: 41.5%/58.5% Length: 194.2 in. Width: 87.5 in. Height: 45.3 in. Performance: Top Speed: 213 mph 0-60: 3.4 sec. 0-100: 7.9 sec. Comments: The XJ220 is a good car to use if you want a challenge. Its only good point is its 213 mph top speed. 5. Lotus GT1 Stats: Acceleration-3/5 Top Speed-3.5/5 Braking-4.5/5 Handling-5/5 Price: $645,000 Weight: 2315 lbs. Weight dist, f/r: 40%/60% Length: 176.8 in. Width: 81.5 in. Height: 43.3 in. Performance: Top Speed: 195 mph 0-60: 3.8 sec. 0-100: 9.0 sec. Comments: With average speed, acceleration, and above average handling, the Lotus GT1 makes an even better beginner car than the Ferrari F50. 6.Lotus Esprit V8 Stats: Acceleration-2.5/5 Top Speed-3.5/5 Braking-4/5 Handling-4/5 Price: $82,000 Weight: 3042 lbs. Weight dist, f/r: 42.7%/57.3% Length: 173.8 in. Width: 74.1 in. Height: 45.3 in. Performance: Top Speed: 175 mph 0-60: 4.8 sec. 0-100: 10.5 sec. Comments: This is the cheapest car in the game, but sadly, you get what you pay for. Poor acceleration and speed make this a very bad car(at least compared to the other cars). 7. Italdesign Cala Stats: Acceleration-2/5 Top Speed-3.5/5 Braking-4.5/5 Handling-3.5/5 Price: Not for sale(prototype) Weight:2844 lbs. Weight dist, f/r: 37.7%/62.3% Length: 172.8 in. Width: 74.8 in. Height: 48.1 in. Performance: Top Speed: 181 mph 0-60: 5.0 sec. 0-100: 10.9 sec Comments: The Cala has the worst acceleration in the game, so don't expect an early lead. 8.Isdera Commendatore 112i Stats: Acceleration-4/5 Top Speed-4.5/5 Braking-3.5/5 Handling-3/5 Price: $485,000 Weight: 3256 lbs. Weight dist, f/r: 47.5%/52.5% Length: 182.0 in. Width: 73.5 Height: 40.6 Performance: Top Speed: 212 mph 0-60: 4.0 sec. 0-100: n/a Comments: The 112i, in my opinion the coolest looking car in the game, is like a mini-McLaren F1. It has good acceleration and speed, and below average handling. 9. Ford Indigo Stats: Acceleration-3.5/5 Top Speed-3.5/5 Braking-5/5 Handling-5/5 Price: Not for sale(prototype) Weight: 2300 lbs. Weight dist, f/r: 40%/60% Length: 175.3 Width: 82.0 Height: 39.5 Performance: Top Speed: 180 mph 0-60: 3.9 sec. 0-100: n/a Comments: The Ford Indigo has better hadling than any other vehicle in the game. This car performs best on the Mystic Peaks and Meditarraneo tracks. =====B. Track List===== There are 7 tracks in NFS II: 1. Proving Grounds 2. Outback 3. North Country 4. Pacific Spirit 5. Meditarraneo 6. Mystic Peaks 7. Monolithic Studios(you need a code to unlock this track, see the Code Section for more info.) 1. Proving Grounds This is a real track in Norway where new cars, especially fast sports cars like the ones in this game, are tested. It is a very easy track, and its main purpose is to get you aquainted with the game's controls. 2. Outback Set in Australia, this track is good for practicing tight turns. Be careful on the jumps-you could crash as you land if you're not facing straight. 3. North Country Don't freak when you see the map of this track. The 4 hairpin turns look tough, but become rather easy with practice. Cars with good braking dominate here. 4. Pacific Spirit This track is like the Outback, only bigger, and with tighter turns. The bridge turn looms especially difficult to pull off cleanly. 5. Meditarraneo Set in what looks like Greece or Italy, this track isn't really hard, just long. 6. Mystic Peaks This is the longest track in the game. Don't go off the road or you may fishtail on the snow. 7. Monolithic Studios This is the most fun track. You will see sets from many different movies. Outer space, dinosaurs, huge jumps, flaming buildings, and holographic maps are just some of the things you will see. * * * * * * * * * * * * * ====III.
