Yes it is true, it is a really cool adventure game and you play as a marsupial, usually the worst combination ever but not this time. The combination makes this game what it is and it uses the combination cleverly. You play as a Bandicoot called Crash as you can tell from the title and you are out to stop the evil Dr Neo Cortex, a Dr with a N on his head, from conquering the world. To do that you must cross three different islands and go through 32 levels, that is where I come in. My sole purpose in this guide is to provide you, the Faithful reader with information to complete all the levels and save the world. Boxes / 0----------------------------------------------------------------------------0 The boxes in the game are you're main target in the game because they will give you wumpa fruit, more hitpoints, Extra lifes and sometimes a bonus token. Just so you know here is a brief description of what wumpa fruit is. A brief description of Wumpa fruit ---------------------------------- Wumpa fruit is the local delicacy of Crash Bandicoot's world. You can get them from nearly all the boxes in the game. Once you accumilate 100 wumpa fruit you will gain a new life, so if you think about it there is about 150 wumpa fruit on each level so that is 3 lives every 2 levels. So it is advised to get all the wumpa fruit you can find. ----- Now that we have done that I will now tell you what all the boxes in the game look like and what you can get from them. --------- Blank box --------- This box is just blank with no picture on it, it is one of the most common boxes in the game. You will always get one piece of wumpa fruit when you break them. ------------------ Question mark box ------------------ This box will be like a blank box but instead it will have a yellow question mark on it. This mean that when you open it you will get a random thing like 10 pieces of wumpa fruit to a bonus token. ---------- Aku Aku ---------- This box will have a picture of a brown mask with multicolour feathers on top. Every time you break one of these boxes you will recieve one more hitpoint due to the protecton of Aku Aku. --------- 1 up box --------- This box has a picture of Crash on the front of it. When you break it you will recieve an extra life. -------------------- Exclamation mark box --------------------- Ths box looks like a metal box with a exlamation mark on it. Once you spin it, it will make transparent boxes that you could not break breakable. --------- Arrow box --------- This box looks like a normal box but has a arrow on it. Use it to get to new heights to reach new items. ------------ Stripey box ------------ These boxs are like the blank boxes but have stripes on them. You use these so you can bounce on them and get 10 pieces of wumpa fruit. --- TNT --- These boxes have TNT on the front of them and are red it is impossible to miss them. Jump on them to trigger a three second count down, once done to box will explode. --------------- Checkpoint box --------------- The check point boxes have a C on them and when you jump on them you receive a checkpoint. 0----------------------------------------------------------------------------0 / 4. Walkthrough / 0----------------------------------------------------------------------------0 0--------------------------------0 / A. island 1 / 0--------------------------------0 Island 1 is the basic tutorial to the game. The levels are pretty simple and the enemies are prtty easy to defeat. The only levels that will probably challenge you are The great gate and the Native fortress. 0------------------0 / aa. Sanity beach / 0------------------0 0---------0 / Enemies / 0---------0 Crab - These crabs are relatively easy to defeat just jump on them or spin them. Turtle - To defeat the turtles simply jump on them and they will go into their shell and then spin them away. 0------------------------0 / Things to look out for / 0------------------------0 Pits - Look out for these pits because if you fall down them you will have an instant death even if you have Aku Aku protecting you. 0--------------0 / Walkthrough / 0--------------0 Yipee the first level and not to say one of the easiest in the game. You will wake up on a beach after being knocked out by the waves. Once you get up, you will see three crates one bouncy crate and 2 other crates. Jump on the bouncy crate and get all the wumpa fruit you can. Once you have gotten all the wumpa fruit out of that crate, go to the other two crates and spin them to get their contents, once done proceed up the path. As you proceed up the path you will finda crab walking across the screen, spin it. Once done simply jump over the pit, spin the Aku Aku box and jump over the block. Jump over the oncoming pit and spin the Question mark box. Now you will see an arrow box in front of you with a stripey box above it, jump on the arrow box and it will keep you bouncing until the top box breaks, once it breaks spin the arrow box. Spin the crab ahead of you and break the box. Then jump over the first pit and jump over the second one. Spin the next crab you see, just ahead of you you should see two boxes piled on top one another, jump on the top one and then bounce on the second one until it breaks. Once done, jump up the stairs and on the second step spin the Aku Aku box and the question mark box, we now have two Aku Aku's. You will notice that Aku Aku has now turned a golden colour. On the next step you will find four blank boxes so jump on them and get the wumpa fruit. You will see a metal box on the ledge opposite you, you can't break it so don't try. Proceed up the next step and the next one. On this step jump on the question mark box and get its contents. Jump to the next step (will these steps never end?) and jump on the five boxes. Continue up the rest of the steps until you are at the top. Now that you are at the top, spin the checkpoint box and proceed further and spin the Aku Aku box. If you have three Aku Aku masks, which you should have. You will now become invincible for a short amount of time. Now all the enemies that run into you will instantly die, which is good. Once you put the mask on jump over the ledge and un into the turtle who will die. Once he is gone jump over the pit and kill the next turtle. Jump across the next pit and kill another turtle, now jump across another pit and spin the box that you see. Jump over the next ledge and you will see two boxes behind it spin them too. Jump across the next pit and spin all eight of the boxes that you see. You will now see a fork in the road, take the left path. Up the left path you will see another turtle kill it and jump over the ledge in front of you. Spin the boxes that are there and carry on forward. Once you are at the end go back and take the right path. Jump over the pit and hit the metal box which will make transparent boxes appear. Jump on each of them while you cross, one of the boxes will be a 1-up box. Now that we have cleared both paths go to the end of the path you are on and jump the pit. Spin the last box which is a question mark box and jump into the warp to finish the level. 0--------------------0 / Ab. Jungle rollers / 0--------------------0 0---------0 / Enemies / 0---------0 Skunk - Defeated easily, these smelly folks can be defeated by using either the spin or the jump. Venus fly trap - These vicious plants can only be defeated by you using the spin move on them. 0-------------------------0 / Things to look out for / 0-------------------------0 Rolling stones - In this level there will rolling stones that will squash you, all you have to do to dodge these is simply jump when they are not near you. 0-------------0 / Walkthrough / 0-------------0 To start this level off, jump on the arrow box and break the box above to get some more wumpa fruit. Once done break the arrow box and break the Aku Aku box. Up ahead we will see our first TNT Box, simply jump on it and run away. Once done jump over the pit in front of you and spin the skunk in front of you. Proceed forward and jump over the next pit, then jump over the ledge. Jump on the arrow box and break the stripey box on the top again, once done spin the arrow box. Jump over the pit and spin the three skunks that are coming our way. Once those pests have been taken care of, procced forward and spin the venus fly trap. Once the plant has gone you will see a rolling stone, jump through when it is not near you. Spin the question mark box, and also spin the venus fly trap. Jump over the next pit and kill the skunk. Jump over the next pit (Just in case you were wondering there are a lot of pits during the first island.) and dodge the boulder. Spin the Aku Aku mask which is on top of the two metal boxes and jump over the next pit. There will be another rolling stone, jump through when it is not near you and then jump across the next couple of pits until you come to TWO! rolling stones. Jump through them both. Continue down the path and you will see a green gem, if you don't have the green gem then don't read the next paragraph, if you do read on. green gem path -------------- As soon as you go up jump on the metal arrow box, Hold x to get a higher jump. Jump onto the set of green gems to your left. Jump up and claim your three 1 ups from the boxes. -------------- Once you are back down spin the boxes in front of you, once done jump over the ledge in front of you. Carry on and dodge the first rolling boulder, once you have dodged the boulder break the question mark crate. Once you have got its contents dodge the two rolling stones and jump across the pit. Once you have crossed the pit spin all the skunks that get in your way and proceed up the path until you get to another pit. Cross the pit and dodge the boulder. Once done you should see a 1-up box in the middle of two TNT boxes you can only break them if you have a spare Aku Aku, if you do, break the boxes, if you don't leave them. Once you have got the boxes cross the double rolling stones and jump across the pit after them. Kill the skunks and jump over the ledge. Kill the venus fly trap in front of you, once this is done you will see that there is a pit with a rolling stone behind it. The key is to jump the pit when the rolling stone is one the edge of the screen. Once you have crossed the pit, break the checkpoint box. Once you have broken the box, jump across the next rolling stone and spin the venus fly trap. Then dodge the double rolling stones and cross the next two pits in front of you. Once both are crossed break the two boxes in front of you, getting a 1-up from one of them. Then jump across the pit and dodge the double rolling stones and jump the pit after them. Kill the skunks and venus fly traps in front of you, jump the ledge and warp out of here. 0---------------------0 / ac. The great gate / 0---------------------0 0---------0 / Enemies / 0---------0 Monkey - Just a spin or a jump will defeat these critters. Sheild person - Here is the hardest enemy so far, to defeat him jump on the top of his head and then spin his bare body. Turtle - To defeat the turtles simply jump on them and they will go into their shell and then spin them away. Venus fly trap - These vicious plants can only be defeated by you using the spin move on them. 0-------------------------------------0 / Things that you should look out for / 0-------------------------------------0 Spiked pillars - These spiky pillars will drill holes in crash unless you time your jump right. The time to jump is when the pillar is down. Flame ledge - To dodge these hazards simply jump when the flame is not ignited. 0----------------0 / Walkthrough / 0----------------0 To start off with you will see four boxes to your left, spin them and get the wumpa fruit off them. Then jump on the metal arrow box, jump high enough to get to the next one and the next one. Once done do the last jump onto the wooden ledge and spin the boxes in front of you, one of these boxes is an Aku Aku box. As you proceed ahead you will find a turtle walking around jump on him and spin him. Jump to the following ledge and kill the turtle there and don't forget the venus fly trap which is just ahead. Jump to the next ledge and spin the question mark crate which is in between the two metal crates, once done the metal crate will start bouncing due to the arrow crate underneath it, you will have to time your jump well, jump when the metal box is in the air at its highest point. Jump to the next ledge and spin the monkey away, beware of its roll attack though. Jump to the next ledge, which is very small and kill both the turtle and the venus fly trap. On the next ledge you will find a two step long staircase of boxes which a 1-up on the other side, jump onto the first bax and then the second box to get your prize of a 1-up. On the ledge after you will see a masiive thing youi have to climb up, so firstly spin the piece of wood that is vertical this will make it horizontal. Secondly jump on the little step in front of you and then jump on the horizontal piece of wood, once that is done jump onto the arrow box. Use this arrow box to jump onto the one opposite it and the one after that. On the last one jump onto the ledge and spin the checkpoint box. Once done jump on to the next ledge and spin the turtle on it. Jump to the ledge afterwards and get rid of the monkey. Jump to the next ledge and jump on the turtle to reach the Aku Aku box, once you have got Aku Aku spin the turtle away. On the next ledge you will see a venus fly trap get rid of it. As you proceed further along the ledge you will see a spiked pillar, jump over it when it is not up. You will see another one going down instead of up, so walk through when it is at its highest point. Further along jump across the spiked pillar and jump to the next ledge to spin the three boxes. On the next ledge you will see a sheild person so jump on him when he is near you and spin his bare body. Jump on the next ledge and the ledge after that. On the ledge that you are on now jump on the 1-up box and jump to the next ledge. Jump onto the next ledge and spin the monkey away, proceed to the next ledge and get rid of the sheild person. Jump on to the next ledge and jump over the spiked pillar, and over the flame when it is not ignited. Dodge the next two spiked pillars, jump to the next ledge and spin the checkpoint box. Dodge the two spiked pillars while getting rid of the turtle, once done dodge the next spiked pillar. I will now right the yellow gem path, if you haven't got the yellow gem just go in the warp you now see. Yellow gem path ---------------- Proceed forward and spin the vertical piece of wood, jump on to that piece of wood and spin the piece of wood above. Jump onto that piece of wood and then jump on the metal arrow. Jump to the next metal arrow and jump on the box on the right, then go back to where you were and jump onto the metal arrow. Jump on to the ledge from there and jump over the spiked pillar. Jump to the next ledge and spin the monkey, once done jump to the ledge with the fly trap on and spin it. Dodge the next couple of spiked pillars and kill the sheild person. On the next ledge get the venus fly trap away, jump onto the next lgde spin the blank box and use the arrow box to jump over the wall, once done run along the back of the wall jumping over the ledges. Once that this is over jump over the wall again and proceed further up killing the sheild person and watching for traps. Once we come to the vertical wood part repeat what we have already done and you will soon be at the top where the warp is. 0----------------0 / ad. boulders / 0----------------0 0---------0 / Enemies / 0---------0 Giant boulder - You can't beat this so what do you do if you can't be something, you run. 0------------------------0 / Things to look out for / 0------------------------0 Giant boulder - See above 0-------------0 / Walkthrough / 0-------------0 As you start off spin the box next to you and proceed down the path collecting the wumpa fruit that you find. As you proceed down the path you will come in to a tunnel, break all of the boxes in there and collect the wumpa fruit. Once you have got all of the boxes contents, go outside and you will now see why this level is called Boulders. As soon as you go out and proceed forward a tiny bit you will be chased by a giant boulder and there is only one thing I can say for this situation.. RUN! When it starts coming after you run forward and jump over the pit that you now see and jump over the second one that you see, the second pit will be right after the first pit so be careful. While you are running forward you will see a tunnel that you were in at the beginning of the level, run forward into the tunnel and the boulder will now stop because it can't break through. Break the boxes you see inside the tunnel and go outside and break the lonely box you see. The run forward because a boulder is now going to chase you, run forward and jump over the several pits you will see, they are all consecutive ones which means one after the other for younger readers. Once you have jumped over all the pits you will come to a little wodden tunnel run through it as the boulder will not stop there. On the othr side you will have to dodge all the walls you see, to dodge them you must jump over them, do this until you get to the next tunnel. Break all of the boxes inside the tunnel including the checkpoint box and run out of the tunnel and suprise suprise there will be another boulder. As you run away from this boulder you will see a new kind of pit that has a platform in the middle, jump over the pit and land on the platform and jump over again to finish the pit. There will be another two of these so jump oer them and pass through another wooden tunnel. Once done, dodge the signposts you see by following the wumpa fruit, once all the signposts are dodged jump over the next tw0 pits and proceed into the warp. 0----------------0 / Ae. Upstream / 0----------------0 0---------------0 / Enemies / 0---------------0 Flying fish - These jump out of the water simply spin them to get rid of them. Man eating plant - These will time their bite jump onto them but jump over them quickly. Man eating plant (blue) - These will carry on biting jump over them when there jaws are down. 0-------------------------0 / Things to look out for / 0-------------------------0 Water - Don't fall in, crash can't swim. 0-------------0 / Walkthrough / 0-------------0 When you start off spin the Aku Aku box behind you, go forward and Jump across the lily pads until you get to a ledge with a box, spin the box and get0the wumpa fruit inside. Jump across the lilypads until you come to a moving leaf jump onto it when it is near you, then when you are close enough jump onto the log. Jump across the next two ledge's and break the box that you see. Then proceed up the next couple of ledge's and climb up to the waterfall and break the checkpoint box. Jump onto the moving leaf and then jump onto the log that you see, jump forward and get the 1-up and jump onto the TNT. Jump onto the next ledge and jump over the man eating plant quickly and land on the next ledge. On the ledge jump to the moving leaf and jump onto the other one, the jump onto the ledge and break the boxes you see. Proceed forward and smash the checkpoint box you see. Jump over the next two ledges and break the next checkpoint box and then jump onto the moving Leaf, jump over the ledges and go onto the other moving leaf. Jump across the man eating plants and land into the warp. 0--------------0 / Af. Papu Papu/ 0--------------0 Well well our first boss battle, it is an easy one too. Let us start by describing what attacks Papu can do to hurt us. Spinning around his staff -------------------------- Papu will get his native staff and start spinning it around the room. He will spin his staff around the room three times, to dodge this attack simply jump over the staff or jump onto Papu's chair. How do we damage Papu Papu --------------------------- To damage Papu Papu we must firstly dodge his spining the staff around attack, once he has spun that around he will get dizzy at this precise moment we must use the jump attack and jump onto his head. We will have to repeat this process three times to actually knock Papu Papu out cold. 0--------------------0 / aG. rolling stones / 0--------------------0 0---------0 / Enemies / 0---------0 Skunk - Jump or spin these to get them away Turtle - Jump on these and then spin them to get rid of them. Venus Fly Trap - Just spin these deadly plants. 0------------------------0 / Things to look out for / 0------------------------0 Rolling stones - See above 0------------0 / Walkthrough/ 0------------0 As you start off go forward and spin the fly trap you, then go forward and spin all twelve of the boxes, you should get loads of wumpa fruit. Once done go forward and dodge the rolling stone and break the two boxes in front. Once this is done go forward and jump over the pit and dodge the rolling stones, then jump over the pit and dodge the rolling stones again. Jump on the arrow box and break the box on top, once done spin the arrow box. Once done proceed forward dodging the pits and boulders, not forgetting to get rid of the turtle, and break the checkpoint box. Once the checkpoint box is broken jump over the pit and dodge the rolling stone, proceed forward spinning the plant away. Break the boxes in front of you and dodge the next set of rolling stones. Jump on the TNT boxes you see and jump onto the platfor in fronnt of you and then dodge the rolling stone. Get rid of the turtle that you see once done break the checkpoint box you see. Jump to the platform in front of you and dodge the next set of rolling stones. The next dodge is exaxtly the same except the platform moves so jump on the platform and dodge like before. Break the question mark box which you now see and repeat what you done before. Once done jump over the next pit, once done proceed forward and break all the boxes that you can see. Dodge the next rolling stone and then kill the skunks, once all this is done break the checkpoint box. Once this is done jump over the next couple of pits and dodge the remaining boulders and jump into the warp at the end. ------------------0 / AH. Hog wild / 0------------------0 0---------0 / Enemies / 0---------0 The enemies on this level are ones that you can't defeat but dodge. So in the walkthrough I will just tell you that all you have to do is dodge the enemy. Spiked poles - see above Pig - see above sheild person - see above 0------------------------0 / Things to look out for / 0------------------------0 See above 0---------------0 / Walkthrough / 0---------------0 As soon as you start this level you will jump onto a hog and start riding. As soon as you get on the hog go forward and jump over the pit and jump over the next two pits. Once you get to the stairs go over them and on the other side break the boxes that you see, jump over the spiked pillar on the florr and dodge the spike pillars which are stood up straight, don't forget to get the 1 up box why dodging these though. Once all of them have been dodged successfully go up the stairs that you see and break the checkpoint box. Once this is broke proceed forward, jump the pit and dodge the sheilded native, once this is dodged go past the next set of pillars and dodge the next sheild native. As you proceed forward you will see a big bongo drum jump onto it to cross the pit. Once the pit is crossed, break the boxes and dodge the sheild native that you see. Jump onto the next bongo drum and cross the next pit, once crossed break the boxes and jump over the dropped pillar and break the checkpoint box. Dodge the next couple of pillars and sheild natives, once passed break the boxes that you see. Dodge the next set of pillars and dodge the next set of sheild natives. Once this is done jump over the pig on a stick and dodge the next obstacle not forgetting to jump the next pig. Dodge the set of pilaars after that and another pig, you will come up to a sheild native, dodge him and go to the warp behind him. 0---------------------0 / AI. Native fortress / 0---------------------0 0-----------0 / Enemies / 0-----------0 Flame - To dodge this simply jump over it. Rolling Monkey - Spin or jump on these little critters. Shield Native 1 - Jump on his head and then spin his bare body. Spiked Pillar - Jump over these at the right time. Turtle - Jump on these things and then spin them away. Venus Fly Trap - spin these plants away. 0------------------------0 / Things to look out for / 0------------------------0 See The great gate level for more information. 0-------------0 / Walkthrough / 0-------------0 Break the boxes that you see at the beginning of the level and then use the metal arrow boxes to get to wooden ledge on the top. Jump on the turtle and use him to bounce and get the Aku Aku mask, get rid of all the other enemies on this ledge as well. Jump to the next ledge and get rid of the monkey and thn procced forward, get rid of the Fly traps on this ledge then jump onto the next ledge. Use this ledge and carry on jumping ledges until you get to a ledge with a spiked pillar on it. Dodge the spiked pillar and jump over the flame and proceed until you get to a checkpoint box, break it. Once this is done get rid of the venus fly trap in front of you and jump to the next ledge while dodging the spiked pillar. Spin the vertical piece of wood that you see and then proceed by jumping on the wood that you just spun, Repeat this process. Use the metal arrow that you see to jump on to the next wooden ledge which is above you. Jump over the flame and get rid of the turtles on the other side, once this is done proceed until you reach a checkpoint box, break this one also. Once this is broken, jump to the next ledge and dodeg the flame while not forgetting to get rid of the monkey. To get to the next ledge you have to bounce on the flame when it is not ignited, so jump on the thing the flame comes out of and reach the next ledge. Follow the next couple of ledges and get rid of the sheild native, now he is gone get the 1 up above him. Jump to the next ledge and dodge the pillar, on the next ledge get rid of the fly traps that you see. Follow the ledge until you come to a checkpoint box also break this one. Jump over the next ledges dodging the traps and getting rid of the enemies until you get to a pillar of boxes, break the lowest one and run away until they explode, once done proced until you get to one of those wood thingys. Break the checkpoint box and do the same as before, spinning the wood and then jumping on it, until you reach the top floor. Once at the top break the next checkpoint box. Proceed forward, once on the next ledge get rid of the enemies and you will see a flat piece of wood behind you, jump over it to be behind the wall. Please note that this is a massive shortcut and will really help you. Once you see another piece of flat wood jump over it but make sure you jump over it when the flame is not ignited. Once you are over proceed until you get to the checkpoint box, once this is broken proceed over the flames and on to the next ledge. Get rid of the monkey and and proceed over the next several ledges until you get to a red gem path. RED GEM PATH ------------ Jump onto the red gem and follow the path up, once you get to the clouds, follow the path of cloud and then break all of the boxes that you see. Once this is done go back to beginning and carry on with the level. ----------- Dodge the spiked pillar and then get rid of the fly trap, get rid of it and proceed, when you get up to another of the wood things go up it to the very top and warp out of here. 0-------------0 / B. Island 2 / 0-------------0 Yes we are finally here the good old island 2 but don't think this will be a walk in the park things start to get harder from here on in so you better be ready. 0------------------0 / Ba. Up the creek / 0------------------0 0--------0 / Enemies/ 0--------0 Flying Fish - Just run past these fish when they jump out of the water. Man-Eating Plant - Jump over these plants reall really quickly. Rolling Monkey - just spin these critters out of the way. 0------------------------0 / Things to look out for / 0------------------------0 water - Don't fall in, Crash can't swim. 0-------------0 / Walkthrough / 0-------------0 From where you start off break the two boxes in front of you and jump over the lily pads and fly traps you see until you come to a moving leaf. Jump on to the leaf and then jump on to the next one, once at the end jump on to the ledge that leads up the waterfall. Once you are at the top jump on to the lily pad and then on to the ledge and also jump on to the moving leaf. Jump on to the next moving leaf and then over the fly trap and then jump onto the ledge. Jump onto the ledge sticking out of the water and then onto the the platform which you see. Jump onto the moving leaf and then dodge all the dangers that you see and then climb the waterfall and break the 1 up box. Proceed forward until you get to a ledge, jump onto the moving leaf near it, carry on jumping over the leaves until you get to a ledge with a monkey on, spin them monkey. Once the monkey is gone jump over the fly traps and then break the checkpoint box that you see. Jump on to the moving leaf and then climb the waterfall, follow the path of lilies that you see and then jump over the fly traps until you get to a 1 up box. Jump onto the lilies and then over the flytrap and onto the ledge and then on to the moving leaf. Jump over the moving leaves and the flytraps until you come to a checkpoint box, break it. Once broke proceed forward and get the 1 up and then go over the fly trap on to the ledge. Jump over the next fly trap that you see and then jump onto the leaf, you will see a warp at the end jump in it to finish the level. 0----------------0 / Bb. Ripper Roo / 0----------------0 Well now we are on our second boss and he is a demented bird thingy and he is obsessed with TNT, this is not good. Let us look at the attacks this bird can do. Jump ----- Ripper Roo will jump around on three different blocks each time he is attacked, altogether there are nine blocks. He will jump on them in a different combination every time he is hit, to dodge this attack simply jump on a different block than the one he is about to jump on. How do we damage Ripper roo --------------------------- To damage ripper roo we must firstly stay on the platform we are on. You will see TNT crates coming down the stream, you must jump on them when Ripper Roo is near them. When they explode near Roo They will do one damage to his health. 0-------------------0 / Bc. The lost city / 0-------------------0 0---------0 / Enemies / 0---------0 Bats 1 - You can't get rid of these all you can do is dodge them. Flame - Just jump over these Lizard - Just duck under these when they jump. 0------------------------0 / Things to look out for / 0------------------------0 sliding walls - These walls will pop out, to dodge just time your run correctly. 0------------0 / Walkthrough/ 0------------0 As soon as we start this level jump over the metal boxes and break the boxes on the other side and then jump back over. Go into the gap in the wall and get the Aku Aku mask, go out of the gap in the wall and proceed forward. Jump on to the ledge and then jump onto the ledge with the sliding walls. Run past the sliding wall, kill the lizard and then jump in the gap in the wall and break the boxes inside, go back outside. Dodge the next sliding wall and jump over the next couple of ledges and then run into the gap in the wall while dodging the bats, break the boxes inside and then run in the other gap in the wall a bit further on, break the box in there to. Go back outside and then dodge the sliding wall and break the checkpoint box. Once this is done jump onto the log sticking out and then jump on to the ledge after that. Jump over the next two ledges and then land on the ledge with the bats, dodge these. When at the end of the ledge jump onto one of the moving platforms and wait until it gets to the other side and then jump off. On the other side, dodge the sliding pillars and duck into the gap to dodge the bats. Go into the gap nearby and break the boxes and then proceed forward, jumping to the next ledge and breaking the checkpoint box. Jump to the next ledge and dodge the lizard and the also dodge the sliding walls. Once this is done you have to climb up a bit so climb up the little tower jumping on the latforms sticking out until you come to a platform with a checkpoint box on it, break the box and proceed upwards until you get to the top. Once at the top dodge the red lizard and then crossing the unsteady platform, once you are across this get the 1 up and proceed. Jump over the next two platforms while dodging the red lizard, once done dodge the next section of bats, at the end break the checkpoint box. Dodge the next section of sliding pillars and then jump over the platforms. Dodge the next bat section which can be a bit tricky and then break the checkpoint box. Cross the next two dodgy platforms and then dodge the sliding pillars. Once this is done jump to the next ledge and dodge the lizard and at the end there will be a warp go through it to complete the level. 0------------------0 / Bd. Temple ruins / 0------------------0 0--------0 / Enemies/ 0--------0 Bats - See the lost city for details. Snake - To kill this new creature simply spin it out of the way. 0-----------------------0 / Things to look out for/ 0-----------------------0 Sliding pillar - These are the things we encountered on the previous level, just time your run correctly to dodge these. 0------------0 / Walkthrough/ 0------------0 As soon as you start off dodge the spears that poke out and then break the Aku Aku box which is behind the spears. Break the boxes behind the Aku Aku box and then proceed by jumping over the ledges, when you cross the ledges defeat the snake that you will now see and then break the boxes behind it. Dodge the spears, then jump over the platforms on the other side get the 1 up from the box and then cross the next couple of platforms. Once the platforms are crossed break the checkpoint box and kill the snake behind it. Cross the next couple of platforms why you dodge the spears, on the other side break the boxes and dodge the bats while watching outing for the sliding pillars. Why you jump over the next platform break the boxes that you see, then dodge the spears and go onto the lonely platform which will take you away. On the new section dodge the flame which you will see and then dodge the spears and kill the snake, jump over the flame and the next couple of platforms and then proceed further but don't forget to break the checkpoint box. Go further and then dodge the sliding pillars and the bats, then jump across the ledges while you dodge the spears and then proceed over the remaining ledges until you get to a checkpoint box. Once broken spin the spider in front of you and then break the boxes, then go on the platform at the end. In the new section go forward jumping over the platform and dodging the fire, once these are dodged get the 1 up and then go over the platforms to the the next section. Get all the 1 ups here and then go across the platforms until you get to the other side. On the other side dodge all the bats and all the sliding pillars and then proceed further to the warp at the end. 0---------------------0 / Be. Road to nowhere / 0---------------------0 0---------0 / Enemies / 0---------0 Hog - All you can do is dodge these things turtle - Just do the usual technique to take these things out. 0------------------------0 / Things to look out for / 0------------------------0 Gaps - Don't fall down them pretty simple really. 0------------0 / Walkthrough/ 0------------0 When you start off break the boxes near you and then proceed forward. Jump over the gaps that you see and when you get to the next set of boxes simply jmp on the top one and head forward. When you get to the checkpoint box break it and proceed forward and dodge the hog, break the boxes on the other side and proceed forward again. On the next ledge break the next checkpoint box and carry on going forward while dodging the hog. On the next ledge break the boxes and go forward again. This is all its gonna be like for the rest of the level so I am not bothering to write anymore to this level, I will only point out points that need to be noticed. Oh will you look at that there isn't any more points to be noticed. A very repetitive level but a very fun one I think. Bosses / 0----------------------------------------------------------------------------0 0--------------0 / a. PAPU PAPU / 0--------------0 Well well our first boss battle, it is an easy one too. Let us start by describing what attacks Papu can do to hurt us. Spinning around his staff -------------------------- Papu will get his native staff and start spinning it around the room. He will spin his staff around the room three times, to dodge this attack simply jump over the staff or jump onto Papu's chair. How do we damage Papu Papu --------------------------- To damage Papu Papu we must firstly dodge his spining the staff around attack, once he has spun that around he will get dizzy at this precise moment we must use the jump attack and jump onto his head. We will have to repeat this process three times to actually knock Papu Papu out cold. 0---------------0 / B. Throwing rocks -------------- Koala Kong will throw rocks at us, all you have to do to dodge them is simply walk out of the way. TNT --- Sometimes TNT boxes will fall out of the sky and they will already have a three second countdown, just stay away from these. How do we damage Koala Kong --------------------------- Every fourth rock Koala will take a longer time to throw a rock. When he throws this rock you must simply spin it back at him, repeat four times and you have won the fight. 0----------------------0 / C. Pinstripe Poteroo / 0----------------------0 Our fourth boss is gangster and that is all there is to it. Let's find out his attacks. Tommy gun --------- Pinstripe will always fire his tommy gun, to dodge this attack you must hide behind either piece of furniture. How to damage Pinstripe ----------------------- To damage pinstripe you must spin when he dances across the room, after this is done three times you must spin him when his Tommy gun jams, repeat this process until he is dead. 0-------------------0 / D. Dr. N. Brio / 0-------------------0 Cortex's right hand has some good attacks let see what they are. Purple potion ------------- When he throws this potion it will explode on impact, just a simple dodge move will be enough. Green potion ------------ When Brio throws this potion it will turn into a green blob, to get rid of the blob simply jump or spin the blob. How to damage Brio ------------------- To damage Brio you must firstly spin all the green blobs, every time you do this it takes one health away from brio. Do this until he turns into a weird monster then jump on to his head and spin him. 0-------------------0 / E. Dr. Neo Cortex / 0-------------------0 Our last boss and our mortal enemy with an N on his head, let us see the evil doctor's attacks. Pink blast ---------- Cortex will fire a pink shot at you all the time nearly, to dodge walk out of the way or jump. Blue blast ----------- Cotex will fire blue blasts that will scroll across the screen jump or walk over them to dodge them. Green blast ------------ When Cortex fires these you have to spin them back at him. How to damage Cortex --------------------- To damage Cortex spin the green blasts back at him, repeat this method five times to defeat the doctor. 0----------------------------------------------------------------------------0 / 6. Misc / 0----------------------------------------------------------------------------0 0----------------0 / A. Characters / 0----------------0 These characters are taken from the instruction manual, it will include all the characters you find in the game. CRASH BANDICOOT: ---------------- What can we say about this heroic, seriously agile, recently evolved marsupial that we haven't said all through this manual? Not much? Okay, well you might like to know that he really does enjoy a good tussle every now and then. And since this whole thing is for his girlfriend Tawna, so much the better! DR. NEO CORTEX: ---------------- His early years truly molded this wretched creature into the Mad Scientist he is today. Often ridiculed by the scientific community for his outlandish (yet nearly workable) theories, Dr. Cortex is motivated by one driving force-- to shut those know-it-alls up once and for all. Now if he can do this by creating a mutated army of once-animals, now-armored beasts, then that will just make his day. It will also make him supreme ruler of the planet. DR. N BRIO: ---------------- Not as pushy or driven as his boss, Dr. N. Brio has relegated his poosition to chief henchman of Dr. Cortex. Actually, it was Dr. N. Brio who created the Evolvo-Ray, but his lack of self-esteem let the other (more twisted) Mad Scientist take the credit. TAWNA: ---------------- Love of Crash's life, the unfortunate she-bandicoot is next on the list for experimentation by the nasty Doctors. What's a bandicootess to do (other than pout convincingly) to let her hero know he'd better hurry if he wants somebody to come home to. PAPU PAPU: ---------------- We think Papu Papu is native for "Pass me that dish again, mate." This animated mountain of a feller has a fuse as short as he is big. RIPPER ROO: ---------------- Crazy, demented, not all-there. These are kind words to describe an animal who has undergone one (or two) zaps of the Evolvo Ray too many. Not much of a conversationalist either, we hear. Do your best to avoid contact with Ripper Roo and his razor-sharp toe nails. KOALA KONG: ---------------- So much for a steady diet of peaceful eucalyptus leaves. When Dr. Cortex made this bruiser, he dedicated way too many protons to the muscle department and too few to the brains. He likes to throw rocks. Fine. Do your best to return the favor and you may get to the third (and most dangerous) island-- the fortress of Dr. Cortex. PINSTRIPE: ---------------- Dr. Cortex was looking for a more efficent form of enforcer and created Pinstripe Poteroo, a cross between a local furry omnivore and several chessy Gangster movies. Pinstripe is loyal to "The Don of Doctors" and makes no bones about protecting his employee with his wits, his skills and a fully loaded Tommy gun. WITCH DOCTOR: ---------------- Legend has it the spirit of an ancient Witch Doctor named Aku Aku looks over the islands as a benevolent protector. Sensing Crash's mission to thwart Dr. Cortex's plans, Aku Aku has scattered masks throughout the islands to help Crash succeed.
