==== INTRODUCTION =======================================================

The Japanese Beatmania phenomenon continues. Beatmania is the series of DJ
games from Konami/Bemani that's known in the US as Hip Hop Mania.  This 
version features (almost) all new tunes, and if you play long enough, 
you'll unlock 11 bonus tracks, alternate harder remixes from other 
Beatmania titles.

There are 47 tunes in all on this game.  A few of the songs have harder
versions available--the 47 includes these duplicates. Most of these songs
have a "Normal Mode" and a "Maniac Mode" version.

I highly recommend J.T. Kauffman's "Compendium" series of FAQs about the
Bemani series, available at gamefaqs.com.  This Micro-FAQ will have to
do until J.T. gets around to doing this one justice.

==== BONUS EDIT MODE ====================================================

The game booklet has a Bonus Edit diagram with Japanese annotations.  I 
can't read Japanese, so I'm guessing here, but it appears that if you
disc-change in the following order you can enter Bonus Edit Mode. I
Haven't done this myself 'cause I don't own all the games yet. If you
can shed light on this, please e-mail me.

If you've played Hip Hop Mania 2 in the US, you've already seen a few of 
these tracks.  Note that "Maniac Mode" on this game gives you the harder 
"Another" remixes of the tunes in the arcade.
