Writing things that are already covered would be needless and repetitive. I feel that some information like stats growth is important so I will be including them. I can understand English perfectly but Chinese to an acceptable degree so I know most part of what the game is talking about. Feel free to mail me to translate them. Most of my in-depth knowledge comes from my experience and specific websites. You may find them in the conclusion section. Lastly, most of the names of characters, spells, items, etc are deprived from HeavenFury's guides since there are no official names and it's hard to have a fixed unofficial name. ********** Characters ********** :::::::::::::::::::::: Attack Damage Formulas :::::::::::::::::::::: Attack Damage = (AP - DP) * 0.9 to (AP - DP) The following formulas are Sword Masters' special attacks, they are the only spells that are based on your AP. I have included a comparison table to see which character shines the most in a certain area. +++++++++++++ Basic Classes +++++++++++++ These classes are the most basic classes. Most characters can change jobs using a special item, if you are going for a more advanced class. Every job changes take place in a church. The only classes that do not need to upgrade are robots, ninjas and ??? (Dirksen's class). By the way, robots have a maximum level of 99. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Job Name Attack Defence Speed HP MP -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Swordsman Thor 6-7 4-5 2 8-11 - Dino 6-8 4-5 2 8-11 - Miostud 7-10 5-7 2 9-12 - Warrior Harold 7-9 4-5 1-2 10-14 - Hart 6-7 5-6 1 12-15 - Knight Alex 6-8 4 2 8-10 - Lorna 6-7 5-6 2 6-7 - Reed 7-9 5-7 2 10-12 - Archer Shelia 5-7 2-3 2 7-8 - Baker 5-6 3 2 6-8 - Mage Yoni 3-5 2-4 1-2 5-7 4-7 Shan 3-4 2 1-2 6-7 4-7 Cleric Marlene 3-4 2-5 1 4-7 4-6 Sophia 2-3 3-6 1 6-8 3-5 Fighter Carrie 8-9 5 1-3 11-13 - Theodore 9-11 4-5 1-2 10-11 - Robot Gaia 7-13 6-12 2-3 9-14 - Wood 9-13 7-13 2-3 12-14 - Ninja Seymour 10-12 6-8 3-5 12-14 - ??? Note that characters who join at a later stage of the game might have lower stats compared to a character who join early when they are the same level. It may not be true but after many games I realise that characters who joined at a later stage seems to be weaker than the initial ones. For example, only Dino is mediocre in the early stage because his attack is too weak, even Marlene, a mage beats him. In the later stage, the number of s**tty ones increase like Roland and Sarah, and Dino beats them in terms of usefulness. So, you decide who you want to have in your party. For me, sometimes I choose characters who have flashy attacks like Baker (2nd class) and Carlos (KAMEHAMEHA). Things like HW (Holy Warrior) are classes and besides it is the average stats growth number. Due to the limit size of the rows I have to squeeze everything. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Rank Attack Defence Speed HP MP -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= 1 Hart(HW)15 Hart(Any)12.5 Seymour4 Lucas20.5 Yoni(Smnr)25.5 2 Lancelot(DK)14.5 Lucas, Benard10.5 Archie4 Harold(HW)17.5 Hill20.5 3 Harold(HW)14.5 Harold(Bskr)10.5 Carrie4 Archie17.5 Shan(AM)19.5 ****** Spells ****** :::::::::::::::::: Character's Spells :::::::::::::::::: These are the specific levels where characters will learn new spells. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Job Name Level of spell learnt -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Mage Yoni Burning Fire : Default Attack Up : Level 5 Violent Fire : Level 9 Poison : Level 15 Dragon Fire : Level 21 Paralysis : Level 26 Shan Violent Fire : Default Lightning : Default Sky Lightning : Default Rock Break : Level 20 Thunder Fury : Level 24 Cleric Marlene Cure : Default Cure Poison : Level 7 Recover : Level 11 Defence Up : Level 16 Seal : Level 24 Teleport : Level 30 Sophia Recover : Default Seal : Default Speed Up : Level 18 Cure Paralysis : Level 24 Vigor : Level 30 Swordsman Thor Dragon Strike : Level 4 Dino Flame Blade : Level 4 Minnie Sonic Slash : Level 2 Lordman Mournful Strike: Default Archmage Yoni Heaven Fire : Level 7 Speed Up : Level 13 Earthquake : Level 22 Shan Dragon Fire : Level 4 God's Thunder : Level 8 Earthquake : Level 12 Archie Rock Break : Default Earthquake : Default Split Earth : Default Attack Up : Default Poison : Default Paralysis : Default Priest Marlene Rejuvenation : Level 3 Cure Paralysis : Level 9 Speed Up : Level 18 God's Favor : Level 23 Sophia Rejuvenation : Level 3 Seal : Level 10 God's Favor : Level 18 Defence Up : Level 25 Hill Cure : Default Recover : Default Rejuvenation : Default God's Favor : Default Speed Up : Default Cure Poison : Default Cure Paralysis : Default Seal : Default Hero Thor Rejuvenation : Level 4 Heaven Fire : Level 8 God's Thunder : Level 14 Holy Bolts : Level 21 Split Earth : Level 25 Teleport : Level 30 Summoner Yoni Destruction God: Level 2 Shadow Demon : Level 6 Teleport : Level 11 Heaven Fire : Level 15 Wind Fairy : Level 19 Seraph's Wrath : Level 23 Berserker Harold Defence Up : Level 4 Rejuvenation : Level 11 Cure Poison : Level 19 Hart Speed Up : Level 3 Rejuvenation : Level 9 Cure Poison : Level 16 Saint Yoni Rejuvenation : Level 3 Holy Bolts : Level 9 Cure Paralysis : Level 17 Defence Up : Level 21 Heaven Fire : Level 25 Marlene Rejuvenation : Level 3 Holy Bolts : Level 9 Speed Up : Level 16 Cure Paralysis : Level 21 God's Favor : Level 26 Sophia Rejuvenation : Level 3 Holy Bolts : Level 8 Paralysis : Level 15 Cure Paralysis : Level 20 God's Favor : Level 25 Shan Rejuvenation : Level 4 Holy Bolts : Level 10 Seal : Level 15 Cure Poison : Level 20 God's Thunder : Level 24 Jonah Holy Bolts : Default Recovery : Default Rejuvenation : Default Defence Up : Default Speed Up : Default Cure Poison : Default Cure Paralysis : Default Seal : Default Ninja Seymour Dragon Fire : Default Thunder Fury : Default Earthquake : Default Speed Up : Default ??? The first one is the Teleport spell, which are available through Thor, Yoni and Marlene. The second way is to use the Staff of Teleportation (you can get it after killing the Wind God). The third is to use Vigor. The last way is by having your character using the Feather of Wind item on himself. The total amount of Feathers of Wind in the game is 11, excluding the ones you get from secret shops. In chapter 24, a dragon swordsman that appears with a dragon knight and another dragon swordsman on the top left corner. :::::::::::::::: Secret Treasures :::::::::::::::: There are 2 secret treasures locations that are not covered in the another guide. Chapter 3: (15,26) hides the Long Bow. Chapter 12: (17,16) hides the Magic Staff. ::::::::::::::: Power Levelling ::::::::::::::: Want to defeat Reed and his elite knights in chapter 6 but got crushed instead? Fret not, I will explain how to do it here by levelling up the slow and boring way. Power levelling in Flame Dragon 2 is simply trapping an enemy with surroundings like hills or characters and force the enemy to recover by forcing him to end its turn. After that, attack the enemy, gain EXP, retreat if necessary, repeat. Seems easy? Maybe. But there are limits and criteria to fulfil. The limit is that you must end the chapter in 255 turns. Failure to do so will crash the game. You must satisfy 4 criteria. The trappers must have high DP, so Gaia takes up this job easily. The prey must have low AP so that he can't attack the trappers at all. The one who is being trained to level up, or trainee must have low AP so that the prey will not be killed in one hit. The last criteria is the enemy must not have any MP, or activatable items like Magic Staff to attack you. So it's... - trappers must have high DP. - trainees must have low AP. - preys must have high DP. - preys must not have any spells or activatable items.` The most efficient way to increase trappers' DP is moving them up in a specific terrain. Trees have -5AP and +10DP. Air or sea has +0AP +0DP. Normal terrain has +5AP +0DP. A way to lower trainees AP is making them use the weakest weapon possible. The only way to increase your prey DP is the same as increasing your trappers' DP which is changing their terrain stats. And unfortunately, there's no solution to the last criteria unless you make him waste all his spells. If you want to waste Reed and his knights, I recommend you to power level Yoni to level 21 until you learn Dragon Flame magic. It's a 1 hit KO, no questions asked. ********** Conclusion ********** Finally I have come to the conclusion of this FAQ.
