Match of the Millenium Damage Chart By Andrew Lin Version history 8/4 - Includes FP, FK and projectiles. It's more of a novelty FAQ. Shows the damage done by each move in relation to a regular character's fierce punch/kick. 8/5 - Added a few special moves and modified some comments. 8/5 - Edited the wording a little. Added some notes and comments. 8/23 – Changed defence to Defense and added Evil/Orochi Iori's stats. 8/29 – Changed defense to Life. Added Evil Ryu's stats. Added to the Notes. LEGEND 850 - 100% damage (Full life bar) 243 - 28.57% damage 189 - 22.22% damage 170 - 19.99% damage 150 - 17.65% damage 142 - 16.67% damage 121 - 14.28% damage 113 - 13.33% damage 100 - 11.76% damage 074 - 08.70% damage 063 - 07.41% damage 038 - 04.44% damage 028 - 04.17% damage N/A - Not applicable FP - Fierce Punch (hold Punch) FK - Fierce Kick (hold Kick) WP - Weak Punch (Tap Punch) WK - Weak Kick (Tap Kick) Notes: 1. First Attack usually gives you a 1-2 level damage boost. For example, if the character does 100 (11.76%) damage normally, it'll boost up to 113 for a First Attack strike! 2. Most characters have about the same defence. The only real exception is Zangief who can take 35% more damage making him very durable. 3. I am not the greatest player at this game, so the comments reflect an AVERAGE gamer's opinions. 5. Some of the move names may be wrong. I did a little research into the manual and some older games. 6. Not all of the moves are here yet. I haven't got time. I'll add them and Supers at a later date. 7. Geese's Double Reppu Ken, and Evil Ryu and Iori's projectiles will absorb a projectile and continue going. 8. The damage estimates are approximate. I try to be as exact as possible. Kyo Kyo is an ok fighter. However, without a projectile, you'll have to rely on a lot of close in fighting. His main strength is quickness and combos. Life - 850 FP - 100 FK - 100 Flaming Rush - 100 Shiki Nue Tumi - 74 Fireball (2 hit) - 100 R.E.D Kick - 142 7-5 Bouncer - 63 Terry Terry is awesome!!! His moves are easy to do and his combos do a lot of damage. A good character to start off with. I hate the ponytail though. Life - 850 FP - 100 FK - 100 Power Wave - 100 Raising Tackle (7-hit) - 121 Power Dunk - 150 Crack Shoot (3-hit) - 105 Iori I don't like Iori. Most of his good moves require you to be in close and Iori is very vulnerable when not in extremely close. However, if you have good timing and can hit those in close moves, Iori isn't bad. Life - 850 FP - 74 FK - 100 Dark Thrust - 100 Fireball (3-hit) - 142 Dark Crescent Slice - 142 Sou Kuishi - 142 Deadly Flower - 38 Ryo I personally suck with Ryo. His moves are really hard to pull off for beginners. And his special moves don't do enough damage to be worth the extra effort. Life - 890 FP - 100 FK - 113 Tiger Flame - 74 Koho - 63 Lightning Legs - 142 Mai Mai is very quick. And her moves are damaging if you combo them. Most of her moves have long range. But to be good with her, you'll have to play a little first. Life - 850 FP - 74 FK - 63 Kacho-Sen - 113 Ryu En Bu 1 hit - 74 2 hit - 121 Night Plover - 121 Haohmaru A great beginner's character. His Fierce is crazily strong!!! Use him for Time Attack! Other than that, if you are starved for moves, though, look elsewhere. Life - 850 FP - 243 FK - 100 Cyclone Slash - 100 Crescent Moon (3-hit) - 150 Yuri She has a lot of Fireball type moves. Other than that though, she is very average. Her Sai-ha move provides a temporary shield, which is rather useful. Life - 850 FP - 74 FK - 100 Tiger Flame - 74 Tiger Flame in Air - 100 Sai-Ha - 100 Hundred Blow Slap - 142 Nakoruru Has a larger variety of moves than Haohmaru (from Samurai Showdown). Very quick and devastating at any distance. If you are in a jam, just call on her bird (Mamahaha, QCB+K i think), and she'll have some new moves from that position. Life - 850 FP - 142 FK - 074 Mamahaha Call - 038 Lela Mutsubu - 100 Kamui Mutsube (from Mamahaha Grab) - 121 Kamui Risse (3-hit) - 121 Akari I have to admit, I don't play with Akari much, so I have no idea if she is good or not. Her moves look rather cool though. Life - 850 FP - 100 FK - 100 Fire Blast - 113 WP Version of Fire Blast - 100 Astro-Revolve - 38 Athena Her teleporting around is pretty good and her psycho ball is damaging. She is a good counter character. Pyscho Sword is rather damaging and is a good #2 move in a combo. Life - 850 FP - 074 FK - 100 Psycho Ball - 113 Psycho Sword (7-hit) - 189 Psycho reflect - 113 Geese This guy is awesome! He has a counter for everything! But when the AI is Geese, watch out, he is near impossible. He Forward+Punch move is useful also. Life - 890 FP - 100 FK - 113 Double/Single Reppu Ken - 100 Jai Ken - 150 Leona Her Earring Bombing thing is really cool, but other than that, her moves aren't so great. She is kinda vampire-like to me. Life - 850 FP - 100 FK - 100 Boomerang - 38 Earring –142 Ken My favorite character! He is quick, his moves are easy to pull off and so are his supers. However, I think Capcom put too many of these type of fighters into this game (4, Ken, Ryu, Akuma and Evil Ryu). Life - 850 FP - 63 FK - 100 Hadoken - 100 Shoru-ken (3-hit fire) - 142 Spinning Kick (5-hit) - 142 Ryu Like Ken, but slower, and more powerful. His Super Fireball knocks down the opponent. Life - 850 FP - 100 FK - 100 Hadoken - 100 Shoryu Fireball - 113 Shoru-ken - 100 Spinning Kick (3-hit) - 142 Morrigan Very versatile. Has a nice variety of super combos. Not many moves, but they have their place in the game. Life - 850 FP - 100 FK - 100 Soul Fist - 74 Shadow Blade - 100 Chun-Li Chun-Li is pretty worthless. If you like to press kick a lot, then go for it, otherwise stay away. Life - 850 FP - 100 FK - 100 Kiko-ken - 100 Tensho-kyaku - 121 Sen-en shu - 113 Zangief He is a good in close fighter, and has a variety of grab moves. And he is extremely durable, he can take 135% of the damage of a normal character! Life - 1148 FP - 100 FK - 113 Spinning Lariat (2-hit) - 142 1-hit - 38 Banishing Hand - 100 Felicia Extremely quick, and her kitty rolls and ball attacks are very useful. Too bad she has no projectile. Life - 850 FP - 38 2 hit FP - 100 FK - 63 2 hit FK - 113 Rolling Buckler and Punch Follow - 142 Delta Kick (2-hit) - 100 Cat Spike - 142 Sakura A female version of Ken. I like how a lot of her moves are multi hit (like shooh-ken being 6-hits instead of shoryu-ken's 3) Life - 850 FP - 74 FK - 100 Haduken - 74 Shooh-ken (6-hit) - 121 Shunpu-kyaku (3-hit) - 95 Akuma Basically the same as Ryu, except for Air fireball and a spinning trip move and teleporting. He looks cooler too. Life - 850 FP - 100 FK - 100 Hadoken - 100 Flaming Hadoken - 113 Spinning Kick - 142 Shoru-ken (3-hit) - 113 Dan Dan was bad in the other street fighters and he still sucks now. His Gado-ken goes an inch and he is slow. I don't even know why he is in this game. Come on Capcom and SNK put in Megaman!!! :) Life - 890 FP - 100 FK - 100 Gado-ken - 100 Koryu-ken - 100 Danku-kyaku - 130 B.B. Hood Not a great character, but very entertaining to play with! A Little Red riding hood with an arsenal. Life - 850 4 hit FP - 100 1 hit FP - 28 7 hit FP - 170 FK - 100 Happy Missile - 113 Shy Strike - 121 (can charge up to double damge by holding P) Guile Guile has 2 moves, Sonic Boom and Flash Kick. Good thing, they are both very useful. Still, he is very pokey and his lack of moves can frustrate you, or you'll be using 1 the whole time, which is kinda cheap. Life - 850 FP - 100 FK - 100 Sonic Boom - 100 M. Bison Its tough to pull off all the Charge Forward, Back stuff on a NGPC joystick. Therefore, I think Bison isn't that great. But if you can use him correctly, he is powerful. Life - 850 FP - 100 FK - 113 2 hit FK - 142 Pyscho Blast - 121 Head Press - 142 can follow with P - +142 Knee Press - 150 Evil/Orochi Iori He isn't that different from regular Iori. His Defense is extremely low however. And he isn't that powerful with regular attacks. His specials get a little premium in power, but not enough to make up for his lack of Defense. Use regular Iori instead. Defense – 700 FP - 74 FK - 100 Dark Thrust - 74 Fireball (3-hit) - 170 Dark Crescent Slice - 150 Sou Kuishi - 150 Deadly Flower – 38 Evil Ryu He is a buffed up Ryu. If you like the fact that he does more damage and his fireballs can absorb projectiles and fire back, you should pick him despite the fact that he has less life. Life – 700 FP – 74 FK – 113 Hadoken – ~121 Fire Fireball – 142 Spinning Kick – 142 Shoryu-Ken Uppercut - 142 That's the end of my Mini-FAQ. Hope you enjoyed it!!!
