Miscellaneous 0. Goodbye ========= 1. Joinas ========= This is the story mode. When the story begins Whip and Midi are talking to an operator about getting tickets for a live show at the Lazy Lion club. Use this intro to make sure you answer the questions the way you want to: Excuse me, who is this? (Boy|Girl) Is that right? Excuse me, what is your name? Enter your name here and choose the bottom right icon to confirm. The boy's default name is Whip. Confirm (Yes|No). Okay, and what is your partner's name? Enter the name of the other character. The default girl's name in Midi. Confirm (Yes|No). Thanks for your truthful entry. Now you will be prompted as to whether or not you want to watch the opening story scene. (Yes|No) Whip and Midi go to the Lazy Lion and are excited about seeing the live band. They notice a shadow lurking about and chase after it. Your character (Whip from now on) gets a closer look and falls into the darkness. When you get up Ranke is there and gets you to clap along to the beat. A meter will show up at the bottom of the screen, just press the A button when the big balls pass under the center. A young man with a guitar will walk up to you next and tell you that you're in Musey Town, then he'll walk away. Ranke comes back and tells you that Musey Town is 1000 years ahead of your world. Whip worries about Midi but Ranke tells him that there might be a way back - by winning the Grand Jam. She says that you can't win without a band, so the story begins. You have to recruit members. [Ranke joins] Press A to clap. You do this to get people to pay attention to you, potentially joining your band or having a session with you. This is what you want to do throughout the whole game, walk around screens clapping and talking to people until you've met with everyone. I'm working on getting all of the locations *I* got them, but they could be random. After you session with villagers, if you did well enough you'll get a piece of an instrument card. Use these to buy new instruments from the stores in Fusion and House, thereby levelling up your characters' playing abilities. If at anytime you want to save, press Option and choose the top-left box (Save-Load). The main screens of Musey Town (the one you start on and the one below it) don't have names, so I'm just going to call them MT(Good) and MT(Bad), based on the face on the note for each. Session ========== Single ====== See below. At Win ====== You need to connect two NGPs together to play this. I don't have the capacity to do this, so I can't write up anything for it. I'd assume it's the same as Single, only you can use two NGPs for it instead of passing one around to everybody. If you choose Single, you'll get the following options: With You ======== Play to the end of the song. Who's going to be playing (Man|Com) Number of people playing (1|2|3|4) Song Select (choose your song [list below in section 7]) Instrument Select (choose your instrument [instuctions below in section 6]) Order of players (1|2|3|4) [depends on number of people playing] Name Entry (enter your initials) When the song is over you'll be asked if you want to play again: (Yes|No) For Me ------ Keep playing the session until there's one person left. Thanks to SNK for making this game. It's too bad it wasn't released here, it might have caught on. Maybe. They should have for sure released Cool Cool Toon. That game rocks.
