Goonies II Copyright Konami 1987 Written By Brian P. Sulpher E-mail: briansulpher@hotmail.com Version 1.0 Dates Written: January 6th to October 4th, 2014 I dedicate this FAQ to Saikyo Mog. I thought I knew this game inside and out, but your walkthrough video helped me refine my route I had run for years, and some of the tips in this Walkthrough are a direct result of your gaming prowess! Also, for Cougar, Howler, and Koonce. I miss you, and I hope you are living it up in the afterlife as you did in this world. You will always be in my memories, and you will never be forgotten. ----------- Version 1.0 ----------- -Submitted guide on October 4th, 2014 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------Table Of Contents-------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1) Introduction 2) Controls 3) Walkthrough 4) Enemies 5) Items 6) Final Word ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------Introduction--------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1) The Fratellis, bent on revenge on the Goonies, have taken Annie hostage, allowing them to capture every Goonie but Mikey during various rescue efforts! As Mikey, your job is to rescue the Goonies, and finally Annie, setting the Fratellis up to go back to jail! This is one fun (albeit confusing adventure game on the NES, and it is one that should be experienced. It could have been more well designed, had a better translation, and maybe some more intuitive gameplay, but it is ultimately worth a go, if only for that great Goonies R Good Enough chiptune version of Cyndi Lauper's great tune! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------Controls----------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2) This section will look at the controls for Mikey in the various locales in the game. o--------------------------------o | Sidescrolling Mansion Controls | o--------------------------------o D-Pad...: LEFT and RIGHT move Mikey in the corresponding direction pressed. Specific enemies listed may not show up 100% as mentioned, due to the semi randomness of the game, and this path should get you through the game as quickly and efficiently as possible. o------------------o | The First Goonie | o------------------o Head to the right, climbing up the ladder before continuing right, leaping over the gap ahead, and entering the door ahead. Choose the TAKE command to grab the Hammer, followed by choosing the GO command, and pressing down to leave the room. Head right through the hallway of the Hideout, entering the next door. Choose the TAKE command to grab the Key Holder, and then choose GO, heading out of the room by pressing down. Go right (likely facing a Fratelli along the way) to descend two ladders to leave the screen, and go left on this screen (take the high path if possible) to enter the door ahead. TAKE the Magic Locator, and GO through the doors ahead, depositing Mikey into a green walled area. Head right to find a floating ledge, riding it down to a ladder to climb down to leave the screen. Head to the right, wait for the platform to float into range (watch out for a Spider attack from above), and continue right to enter the door on the ledge. GO right, use HIT on the back wall to make a Fire Box appear, so TAKE it with no delay. To exit the room, GO left and then down, returning across the gap on the floating ledges, and up the ladder to the screen above. Continue backtracking by going up with the floating platform, going up the first ladder you encounter to enter a new area of the Mansion. Head left to scale the ladder, followed by turning right to head for more ladders to climb, entering a new screen. Move right to climb a ladder, continuing to the right to leap off the platform to a higher ledge (Mikey can make it, he has some rather leaping ability) to enter the door. HIT the back wall for a Bomb Box, then GO right, choose TOOLS to select Mikey's Hammer, choose HIT, and smash the back wall to reveal a door. GO through the door, happening upon a trapped Goonie, so use one of your Keys to let them out, which will also extend your life meter by one whole bar! o--------------------o | The Boomerang Hunt | o--------------------o GO Down, Left, Down to exit the room, followed by moving left to go down the ladder to the next screen. Continue left to go down the ladder, heading right to take another ladder down to the next screen. Enter the door on the right, where you will GO down to enter a grey basement area. Head left, entering a door to TAKE a Slingshot (equip at anytime to attack from long range, just watch your ammo), and GO down to exit. Backtrack to the right, but this time take the ladder leading down off the screen, and then Mikey will head to t he left, entering the door. GO up in the warp zone, which will move Mikey to a far flung corner of the mansion! Climb the vine immediately to Mikey's left, enter the door on the right, and HIT the backwall for a transceiver. GO right to the next compartment, where a woman is hanging out, at which point Mikey can HIT her five times (with any combination of Fists and Hammers) to make a Candle appear, which he should immediately TAKE. After abusing the elderly, GO left, and then down to exit the house that violence built. In the orange cave, head to the left, finding a moving platform to ride to a door, entering it. USE the Candle, GO up for a life refill from Konami Man (as a public service announcement to you, dear reader never HIT Konami Man, lest he never show his face again, depriving you of free refills), GO right, USE the Candle, and HIT the backwall for a Key Holder. GO down, USE the Candle, and TAKE the Magic Locator (second Goonie rescue is go!). After you GO left and down to exit the room, head right, entering the door to GO up to re-enter the red cave. Head to the left, dodging the waterfalls, going down the vine to the next screen. Move left to find a door, entering to USE the Candle, and then GO down to enter an ice cave area. Head left to locate a ladder to scale downwards, heading right, fighting Walruses, Penguins, and dodging Icicles, leaping right to the ledge far below (miss, and you have to fight back to the left). Enter the door, USE the Candle, and GO up. USE the Hammer to reveal a Safe, USE the Key to TAKE the Glasses. GO right, TAKE the Boomerang, GO left, GO down, and GO down to exit the room. o-------------------o | The Second Goonie | o-------------------o Head left to scale up the ladder (watch out for the frozen fearsomes of the area), leaping to the right to enter the nearest door (GO up to exit the far side of this room).Climb the vine on the right, heading left past the Waterfalls, Bats, and Spiders, to enter the next door Mikey encounters. USE the Candle, USE the Glasses, GO up, and TAKE the Helmet (protects Mikey from falling objects). GO down twice to exit the room, backtrack to the right, taking the first vine available downwards. Run and leap to the right across the floating platforms (watch out for the Waterfalls), deal with Jake Fratelli and assorted animals as you pass under the first door you see, entering the second door via the floating platform. GO right, GO down to exit this room. Now in the ice cave area again, head left, cross the gaps, kill the Eskimo, and enter the door he guarded. GO right, HAMMER the backwall, GO up, and USE the Key to save the Goonie! o---------------------------o | Quest For The Diving Suit | o---------------------------o GO down, GO left, and GO down to exit the room, heading back to the right (Eskimo and Walrus attackers will try to knock Mikey into the nearby pit) to re-enter the previous door (GO left, GO up to exit the other side). Head left, killing the Scorpion that tries to push Mikey back off the ledge, continuing back past the various enemies (including Jake Fratelli and Waterfalls), climbing the first vine upwards that leads off the screen. Bypass the door as you head right, taking the floating ledges to another door (this one is guarded by a Scorpion). GO down to exit this room, putting Mikey near a vine on his left, so climb it, head to the right, and climb the next vine that appears to lead off of the screen. Mikey will now be at the bridge, his first of a few times in this area. Walk left, drop a bomb roughly 2-3 blocks from the wall, making a door appear! TAKE the Hyper Shoes, and GO down to exit the room. Now Mikey has to head to the right, leaping carefully across the rickety and broken bridge. Note that the Lockjaw enemies will try to ram into Mikey, and if they succeed, say goodbye to the Boomerang weapon! Another big annoyance will be Francis Fratelli, shooting his arrows at Mikey, so be wary when he shows up. Once across, climb down the vine to the next level. Drop down to the lower ledge, climb down the vine to the next screen, and then enter the nearby door. GO up, Use the Candle, GO left, TAKE the Magic Locator, GO right, GO down, and GO down to exit the room. Head right (just run away from Winged Skeleton, they are too tough to kill easily) past first vine, riding the floating ledge to find an invisible door by pressing UP (inside will be Konami Man, giving you a free life refill!). Retreat to the left to climb the vine to the next level, turning right to find a door (be quick, or the Scorpion and Winged Skeleton will appear to block you). HAMMER the backwall, GO up, and GO up to exit the room. Trek leftward from this spot, going on the high route to avoid the water droplets shooting upward, and bait the Winged Skelton into dropping down to the lower area, followed by making him enter the nearby pit, leaving the door below unguarded for Mikey to enter. GO up, HIT the backwall, TAKE the Fire Box, Go down, and GO down to exit the room. Head right over the gap, climb the vine, and then turn left to bypass the vine leading off screen. Continue to the left to take the vine down to the next screen, followed by dropping down to enter the door on the left. GO up, GO left, HAMMER the backwall, GO up, USE the Glasses, USE the KEY, TAKE the Diving Suit! o------------------o | The Third Goonie | o------------------o GO down, GO right, GO down, and GO down to exit the room. Head to the right, climbing down vine to the next screen, where Mikey will enter the door below. GO right, HIT the backwall, TAKE the Bomb Box, GO left, and GO down to exit the room. Leap off to the left (over the bottomless pits) to dodge a Winged Skeleton as you run into another door (enter away). HAMMER the backwall, USE the Key, TAKE the Waterproof Coat, and GO down to exit the room. Time to retreat to the right quickly (to avoid spawning foes) to climb the vine up one screen, followed by turning left, hopping a Scorpion to climb the vine it guards to the next screen. Head right from here, climbing the next vine leading up one more screen (watch out for the Scorpion), leaping left, looking for a door guarded by a Scorpion (best to just take the damage and get to the door quickly). GO right, HAMMER the backwall, GO up, HIT the backwall, TAKE the Key Holder, GO down, GO left, and GO down to exit the room. Back outside the door, head left past the water the water droplets to find yet another Scorpion guarding a door. Once inside the door, GO right, GO up, USE the Glasses, GO up, USE the Key to save the third Goonie! o-------------------o | The Fourth Goonie | o-------------------o GO down, GO down, GO left, and GO down to exit the room. Run to the right to kill a Scorpion, dodge a Winged Skeleton, and keep moving right until you find a vine to scale down to the next screen. Aim Mikey to the right, stopping when you reach the bottomless pit, as a Scorpion will spawn to knock him into the pit if you just leap with abandon (use Fire Bombs to end his presence), entering the door, GO down, and GO down to exit the room. climb the vine on the left, leap the gap, and go down the vine to the next screen. Head to the left (watch out for Jake Fratelli) to bypass the door, instead climbing the next two vines to go up two screens (on second screen, try to evade the mass of enemies that show up). Back on the bridge, head left across the rickety structure, being wary of Francis and Jake Fratelli, as well as the Crows, going down the vine on the far side. Leap to the left to find a door to drop down to, entering it to GO up to exit the room. This area is a familiar one to you by this point, so head left to climb down the first vine you encounter to go to the next screen. Move left across the floating ledges to enter a door, and GO down to exit the room. Jump to the left to climb down the ladder to next screen, followed by going right to enter the door (Walrus to kill en route). GO up, GO left, USE the Diving Suit to enter the water area below. Use a Bomb on the crevice to the right of the entry door to obtain an extra life, and then exit the room to head right, going down through the pipe. Swim to the left to find a door to enter (ignore/avoid the water creatures, they are typically too annoying in their movements to kill), and HIT the backwall, TAKE the LADDER, GO left, HIT the backwall, TAKE the BOMB BOX. GO right, GO right, HAMMER the ceiling, USE the Ladder, GO up, Use the Key to save the fourth Goonie (of six)! o-------------------o | The Big Runaround | o-------------------o USE the Ladder, GO up, GO left, and USE the Diving Suit to exit the room. Swim to the right to enter the pipe, followed by continuing to the right (again, best to probably just avoid the water creatures) to enter a door. HIT the backwall, TAKE the Key Holder, GO left, and Use the Diving Suit to exit the room. Go down the nearby pipe, and head left to find a door to enter. GO left, TAKE the Jumping Shoes, GO right, USE the Diving Suit to exit the room. head back to the right to go up the pipe, enter the door on the left, GO right, and USE the Diving Suit to exit the room. Swim all the way back to the left, enter the door, GO right, GO down, and GO down to get back into the Ice Cave area. Now you need to head to the left to climb the ladder upward to the next screen, followed by going right to enter the door, and GO up to exit the room. Climb the vine beside the door to the next screen, and head to the right, bypassing the first door to reach a second door (during this run, be sure to avoid and/or kill enemies as needed), and GO down inside the room to exit to a new area. Jump the gap to the right, scale the vine, continuing to the right to climb up another vine, arriving back at the bridge. Cross the bridge (the usual Crows and Francis Fratelli are your main worries, and the Lockjaws if you decided to get the Boomerang back or you still have it), taking the vine on the far side downwards to the next screen. Drop down to go down the vine to the next screen, heading right past the door above (watch out for Jake Fratelli around here, as well as a Winged Skeleton) to jump onto the floating ledge, riding it while pressing UP to find an invisible door (Konami Man heal opportunity). Retreat to the left to climb the vine off the screen, go left to climb another vine off screen, and then go to the right to find a large gap (equip the Jump Shoes to allow Mikey to clear the gap, but be fast about it, or the Scorpion will generate, and likely push Mikey into the abyss). Enter the door, GO left, GO up, HIT the backwall, TAKE the Bomb Box, GO down, GO right, USE the Glasses, GO up, and GO up to exit the room. Head left in this new area, climb down the ladder to next area, and head to the right to find a door, as well as the first of many tough enemies (in this case, a Golem, so drop a Bomb and back away to draw it into the blast radius). Inside the room, TAKE the Magic Locator, GO down to exit the room. o------------------o | The Fifth Goonie | o------------------o Get on the floating ledge, head to the left, climbing down ladder on the left to the next area. Carefully leap over the gaps to find the Knight enemies (same as Golems, drop a Bomb and back off to draw them into range), entering the door you encounter. USE the Glasses, GO up to exit the room, and head left from the door, using Bombs on the tougher foes while dodging/YoYoing the small foes, crossing the bottomless pit areas to find another door to enter. GO up, HAMMER the floor, USE the Ladder, HIT the backwall, TAKE the Fire Box, and then backtrack the way you came into this room (remember to redeploy the Ladder when you need to). Head back to the right (keep Bombing as needed, watching your reserves, switching to Fire Bombs if necessary), enter the door on the ledge above (drop a Bomb near the higher ledge, the explosive radius will get the Knight), and GO down to exit the room. Run left to cross the gap via floating ledge, reaching a ladder to climb to the next screen. Take the floating ledge up high to continue to the right (watch out for the Pipsqueak Fratellis), ignoring the door below to instead find a ladder to climb up to the next screen (in the mansion proper). Climb the ladder that leads off this screen to the next floor, continuing the leftward travels (High Jump Shoes will allow Mikey to skip the up and down ladders on the right) to enter a door (en route you will have to contend with Jake Fratelli and a guard detail of a few Knights). GO up, HAMMER the ceiling, USE the Ladder, GO up, USE the Glasses, Use the Key, TAKE the Bulletproof Vest. Exit room by the same route that you came in, drop down and go right to scale the ladder into the dead-end area, dropping a Bomb on right side of the area to reveal a door that holds an extra life. Go right to climb down the ladder to lower area, running and climbing to the left to enter the first door you see (if you are fast enough, no foes will spawn in your way). HAMMER the floor, USE the Ladder, GO up, GO right, and USE the Diving Suit to exit the room. Paddle to the left to locate a pipe to go up, entering the door above. GO right, USE the KEY to save the Goonie! o------------------o | The Sixth Goonie | o------------------o GO left, USE the Diving Suit to exit the room, head down through the pipe, and swim right to enter the door. GO left, USE the LADDER, GO up, GO down to exit the room, allowing Mikey to head right, locating a ladder that leads downward to the next area (it is best to just plow through the enemies here, or they will overwhelm the headstrong fighter that you want to be). Jump across the gap to head left, fighting Pipsqueak Fratellis, Golems, and Knights, entering the lower lying door, and GO up to exit this room. Back in the mansion proper, run and climb to go left (watch out for Snakes) to locate a ladder going upwards to the next screen. Head left to spot a door guarded by a Knight (just go for the door if your Bombs are running low), GO right (for a conversation), GO left, and GO down to exit the room into a fiery area. Switch to Fire Bombs, ride the floating ledges to head left, and you will meet your first Dragon (throw Fire Bombs to kill them), and continue past the enemy onslaught to climb down the vine to the next screen. Set off to the right (watch out for the volcanic eruptions) to enter a door, HAMMER the ceiling, USE the Ladder, GO up, USE the Key to save the last Goonie, leaving just Annie to save! o--------------o | Rescue Annie | o--------------o Exit the room as you entered it, and continue to the right in this area (via the floating ledges) to climb the vine to next screen, followed by another vine to scale to the next screen (enemy spawns require you to Fire Bomb the Dragon that appears, but ignore the rest of the foes). This screen is another Fire Bomb the Dragon to get to climb the vine he is guarding, and Mikey can quickly hop to the right to enter the nearby door before anything spawns. GO up, HAMMER the floor, USE the LADDER, Go up, GO right, and GO up to exit the room. Run to the right to climb down the ladder to the next screen, and enter the nearby door. GO down to exit the room, Head right to climb the ladder to the screen above. head left from here to enter a door, GO up, USE the LADDER, GO up, USE the Candle, GO right, and GO down to exit the room. Go left to climb the ladders to go up to the next screen, and head right from here find a door to enter (at this point, ignoring your foes should be your best bet, as your life should be fairly full). GO up to exit this room, heading left over the gap to enter yet another door. USE the Glasses, USE the LADDER, GO up, TAKE the Fire Box. Exit how you came into this room, head right over the gap (watch out for Jake Fratelli), ignoring the first door, seeking a second door. USE a Candle, GO down to exit the room, and drop down to run to the left (tank the hits, assuming you are above 1/3 life) to scale the ladder, continuing to the left to find a ladder leading downwards to the next screen. Run right here to drop down, and head left to take the ladder down to next screen. Move left along the top of the area, entering the top door of the two. GO left, USE the CANDLE, HAMMER the backwall, and GO up to exit the room. Follow the path here to the next door, and USE the Diving Suit. Swim to the nearby door, USE the Key, and you will find Annie! CONGRATULATIONS!!! Enjoy the ending, you deserve it! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -----------------------------------Enemies------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4) This section will list all the enemies in the game, broken down into the following sub-sections: Humans, Land Animals, Mythical Creatures, and Water Animals. o--------o | Humans | o--------o Cousin Pipsqueak: A shorter Fratelli, one hit will knock out this fast runner who tries to ram into Mikey. Eskimo..........: In the icy areas of the hideout, the Eskimo will roam, lobbing axes at Mikey in an attempt to maim and kill. Francis Fratelli: Shooting a triple set of arrows from his bow, Francis cannot be permanently destroyed, but rather knocked down with two well placed hits. He tends to frequent the bridge connecting the two sides of the hideout. Jake Fratelli...: He also goes down (temporarily) to two hits, but unlike Francis, he is faster, and fires off a gun repeatedly (more shots fired, less spread of missiles). Ma Fratelli.....: Ma Fratelli takes an active hand in things as well, patrolling the higher reaches of the hideout, attempting to use bombs on Mikey. She takes a whopping four hits to disable temporarily. o--------------o | Land Animals | o--------------o Bat.......: Swooping about, these furry mammals will lock onto Mikey, flying directly at him. Either yoyo them quickly, or just dodge their attack. Crow......: These Corvids will come onto the screen in a weaving pattern, followed by locking on and zooming straight forward. One hit kills them, but it is probably best to just dodge them most the time. Penguin...: Patrolling a single ledge height, the Penguins are deceptively fast at sneaking in a hit or two. Yoyo away, as precision leaping on their ledges might be a bad idea! Polar Bear: Moving around slower than Penguins, these powerhouses will take a decent chunk of energy if they connect with an attack. Take them down quickly, as they are not easy to get past without any damage. Scorpion..: Taking a couple shots, Scorpions are a rare Animal enemy that will actually shoot a projectile at Mikey. Still, there are not too tough. Snake.....: These slippery foes will move back and forth on their ledge, never falling off. Hit them once to skin them good. Spider....: Spider will hop back and forth, attempting to sink their teeth into Mikey's tender flesh. A single hit will knock the arachnids out cold. Walrus....: Sliding about in a stop and go sort of pattern, they can be tricky at times to line up a hit on. They can be leapt over, though that movement pattern needs to be accounted for. o--------------------o | Mythical Creatures | o--------------------o Dragon.........: Found very late into the game, these toughies are best dealt with Molotov Cocktails (ie Firebombs). They breathe fire though, so don't get too close, if you can help it! Ghost..........: A rarely appearing foe, the Ghosts will appear in multiple spots, eventually congregating into one spot, which is usually right on top of Mikey! Yoyo them when they solidify to exorcise these spirits. Golem..........: These slow movers will try to corral Mikey into a bad spot, so you are best served by dropping a Bomb, and then backing off, which will often draw them into range, destroying them. Knight.........: A faster and more damaging foe in the line of the Golem, they take a couple Bombs/Molotov Cocktails to bring down. This is not always optimal, so sometimes it is best to simply take a hit and run through them. Lancer.........: An advanced form of the Lancer, you honestly will have to accept that they will often damage you during a tussle, as they are not easy to bring down (a couple Bombs/Molotov Cocktails). Lockjaw........: Found only on the bridge connecting the two sides of the Hideout, these guys take a few hits to bring down, and if they touch Mikey, they will zoom away, taking the Boomerang with them! Skeleton.......: Moving back and forth in hallways as the game moves on, the all boned ones will try to ram into Mikey. Use a Bomb or Molotov Cocktail to take them out. Sword Skeleton.: Exactly like the Skeleton, the only difference is they deal more damage. Use a Bomb or Molotov Cocktail to take them out. Winged Skeleton: They hop around in large, bounding patterns. They take a few hits with the Yoyo, so either Firebomb them, or just run underneath them, leaving them in your dust. o---------------o | Water Animals | o---------------o Crab.....: Scurrying back and forth across the surface of the floors of the flooded caverns, they try to put the pinch to Mikey. Jellyfish: Floating in place, these beings are easily avoided. Lobster..: Flitting about, Lobsters will attempt to claw Mikey on his sensitive skin, they can be killed, but due to erratic motions, they are likely just best avoided. Octopus..: Moving back and forth in slow moving patterns, they are easily harpooned when they get in Mikey's way. Piranha..: Swimming in a wavy pattern, these sharp tooth menaces can be really annoying. Harpoon them if you can, but it might be best to just steer clear. Shark....: The strongest of the underwater foes, they take three hits to kill, and they will not leave the screen after passing Mikey, but rather just turning around to come get some more of the Goonie. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------Items-------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5) This section will list the items and what they are used for, broken down in the following sub-sections: Implements, Shoes, and Weapons. o------------o | Implements | o------------o Bomb Box.........: These items increase your ability to carry Bombs by 5. Bullet Proof Vest: Reduces damage taken from all enemies. Candle...........: use in dark rooms to light the surroundings. Fire Box.........: These items increase your ability to carry Molotov Cocktails by 5. Glasses..........: Use inside rooms, revealing hidden objects/passages. Hammer...........: Use inside rooms to hit the surroundings, revealing hidden objects/passages. Helmet...........: When Mikey dons this football dome, he will no longer take damage from falling objects. Key..............: Each Key Holder will add a maximum of two more Keys to Mikey's collection. Each use of a Key reduces the total by 1, using them to open Safes and Jail Cells. Mikey can also find a single refill of a Key sometimes by defeating enemies in the sidescrolling sections of the game. Ladder...........: Use inside rooms to go through holes in the ceiling and floors. Raincoat.........: The Raincoat will protect Mikey from any damage dealt from water sources, such as waterfalls and geysers. Scuba Gear.......: This needed piece of equipment will allow Mikey to swim around in the flooded parts of the Fratellis Hideout. Transceiver......: This item can be used inside rooms to get messages from fellow Goonies, giving their locations as well as where to possibly find some helpful items. o-------o | Shoes | o-------o Jump Shoes.: These spring loaded blue shoes will allow Mikey to jump much higher than he normally would, making some high ledges accessible throughout the mansion. Shoes......: Your starting pair of grey shoes, they have no special abilities. Speed Shoes: The red shoes are found in the mansion, and they will allow Mikey to move at double speed (both on foot and on scalable surfaces), as well as allow him to use the momentum to soar further through the air when jumping (not height wise, just distance). o---------o | Weapons | o---------o ~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~ Primary ~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~ Boomerang: This weapon gives Mikey some range, and it can hit enemies while going and coming. It also can be stolen away by a certain enemy, regardless of whether it is equipped or not. It is found in a certain room of the mansion, and it can be obtained from that room again if the weapon is lost to the thieving enemy. Harpoon..: When Mikey is underwater, this becomes his weapon of choice (by default). It fires bolts through the water, giving Mikey a bit of range to his attack. Slingshot: Enemies will sometimes drop this weapon, which gives Mikey 40 shots that will shoot over a wide area. It is useful in certain situations, but not as an every battle weapon. Yo-Yo....: Mikey's starting weapon, it is versatile enough that he can get by for the entire game by only using this whirling wonder. It has a small range, but he can use it in a fairly rapid manner. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~ Auxiliary ~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Bomb............: Mikey will drop this ordinance on the ground after lighting the fuse, and a few seconds later it will explode! It can be used to kill enemies (if they walk into the explosive radius), and it becomes the automatic secondary weapon when Mikey is underwater, but perhaps the best use it has is for blowing open walls to reveal hidden doors! Find Bomb Boxes to obtain and expand the amount of Bombs that can be carried. Molotov Cocktail: Mikey will throw these fire bombs forward a few spaces, dealing heavy damage to enemies! It is a useful item for hitting enemies on lower ledges, and it also is the preferred weapon for killing stronger foes. Find Fire Boxes to obtain and expand the amount of Molotov Cocktails that can be carried. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------Final Word------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6) As is the usual, this walkthrough is copyright property of Brian P.
