As it was released before the ESRB existed, Conflict is not rated. ========================= 2) GAME OVERVIEW ========================= Conflict is a 1 to 2 player turn based military strategy game loosely based on a NATO/Warsaw Pact conflict. Player 1 controls the blue team (NATO forces) while Player 2 controls the red team (Warsaw Pact forces). The game uses a top down view of the battlefield which is overlayed with a hexagon grid. Each panel of the grid represents a different type of terrain which affects your combat capabilities. The objective of the game is to destroy your opponents Flag tank (an M1A1 for the blue team and a T-80 for the red team), thereby forcing a surrender. Players accomplish this by capturing cities and airbases, which generate fame points, and expanding their military forces. ========================= 3) BLUE TEAM UNITS ========================= Example: x) Unit Name Fame Points needed to build Movement Range per turn on flat terrain Short description Units Main Weapon......................Name...................Ammo Units Alternate Weapon.................Name...................Ammo a- GROUND UNITS ---------------- i) Infantry Cost to Produce: free Movement Range: 4 moves The basic infantry of the NATO forces Primary Weapon.........................Carbine Gun............Unlimited Secondary Weapon.......................None...................N/A ----------------- ii) Commandoes Cost to Produce: Movement Range: 4 moves Heavily armed special forces Primary Weapon.........................Carbine Gun............Unlimited Secondary Weapon.......................Stinger AT.............4 rockets ----------------- iii) Supply Cost to Produce: Movement Range: 6 moves Truck carrying fuel and spare parts for your units Primary Weapon.........................12.7mm MG..............Unlimited Secondary Weapon.......................None...................N/A ----------------- iv) M247 "Sergeant York" Cost to Produce: 3000 points Movement Range: 5 moves Mobile anti-aircraft gun Primary Weapon.........................40mm Machine Gun.......Unlimited Secondary Weapon.......................None...................N/A ----------------- v) M48 "Chaparral" Cost to Produce: 4500 points Movement Range: 5 moves Mobile SAM launcher Primary Weapon.........................Carbine Gun............Unlimited Secondary Weapon.......................SAM....................4 missiles ----------------- vi) M151 "Jeep" Cost to Produce: 1500 points Movement Range: 6 moves Light armoured vehicle with mounted anti-tank rocket launcher Primary Weapon.........................Carbine Gun............Unlimited Secondary Weapon.......................TOW ATM................8 rockets ---------------- vii) M60A3 "Patton" Cost to Produce: 4000 points Movement Range: 5 moves Main battle tank Primary Weapon.........................12.7mm Machine Gun.....Unlimited Secondary Weapon.......................105mm Tank Gun.........14 shells ---------------- viii) M1A1 "Abrams" Cost to Produce: Movement Range: 6 moves Heavily armoured main battle tank Primary Weapon.........................12.7mm Machine Gun.....Unlimited Secondary Weapon.......................120mm Tank Gun.........14 shells ---------------- b- AIR UNITS ---------------- i) AH-1S "Cobra" Cost to Produce: 2500 points Movement Range: 6 moves Lightly armoured ground attack helicopter Primary Weapon.........................20mm Machine Gun........Unlimited Secondary Weapon.......................TOW ATM.................8 rockets ---------------- ii) AH-64 "Apache" Cost to Produce: 3700 points Movement Range: 7 moves Ground attack helicopter with average armour Primary Weapon.........................30mm Chain Gun..........Unlimited Secondary Weapon.......................Fire Dart ATM...........12 rockets ---------------- iii) A-7 "Corsair" Cost to Produce: Movement Range: 8 moves Tactical bomber Primary Weapon.........................
