INTRODUCTION | |_________________| Hi, and thanks for taking a peek at my WCW/nWo Revenge Move Stealing FAQ. Why a move stealing FAQ, you ask? Because I've noticed that when stealing the moves of certain characters, they are alterted slighty or are completely different from the original move, and I figured that a list of these would be nice. :) |¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯| | II. WHAT IS "MOVE STEALING"? | |______________________________| For those of you unfamiliar with WCW vs nWo: World Tour and WCW/nWo Revenge, or those of you who didn't know this feature existed within the game (I didn't until Shaman did a Diamond Cutter on me in World Tour), move stealing occurs when you or your opponent uses one of your own moves against you - in most cases, that character's "Special" (explained in the sections below) move is performed. |¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯| | III. THE INS AND OUTS OF MOVE STEALING | |________________________________________| Stealing moves is easy - simply make sure your spirit meter is showing the word "Special", then do the following: -Execute a front or rear grapple (strength of the grapple doesn't matter) and press the A and B buttons simultaneously. -When an opponent is down, press A and B at the same time at any of the four ground hold positions. Unfortunately, you can't steal from any of the other situations in which "Special" moves can be done - no stealing of turnbuckle, top rope, or running moves. :( Note: The only character that you can't steal moves from is Eric Bischoff - if you try, you'll just do one of your own character's moves. This goes for all of the managers/valets as well. It's rather useless (except for humiliation or humor purposes, hehe), but you can steal your opponent's standing taunt, too. Simply jerk the analog stick from right to left or left to right quickly. Go ahead, make Goldberg disco dance - ya know ya want to! ;) This was contributed by David Webb (dwebbster@juno.com): "I have a couple of good uses for your opponents taunt in Revenge. One is if you have a character like Nash or Alex Wright with a long taunt. When you use yours you give your opponent time to recover and attack you. When you use theirs and it's shorter, you can get right back to beating him senseless. Another reason to use theirs is in a battle royal. A lot of times they will all be standing right in front of you and you may not be sure who you are paying attention to. Using their taunt will often clear this up." |¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯| | IV. STOLEN MOVE LIST | |______________________| Instead of listing every move that can possibly be stolen, I'm only listing those that are different from the original move. So if a move isn't listed, assume that when stolen, it's exactly the same. As far as I know, this list is complete, but if you know of a move not listed here, please let me know, and you'll be given full credit. Here's a short explanation of the format of the list: Wrestler you're stealing a move from Situation - Move that is stolen +---------------------+ | Here are the moves: | +---------------------+ Hollywood Hogan Rear grapple - Back rake Brian Adams Rear grapple - Pendulum back breaker Scott Hall Rear grapple - Abdominal stretch Curt Hennig Rear grapple - Atomic drop Sting Front grapple - Manhattan drop* Diamond Dallas Page Front grapple - Falling front neck breaker Bret Hart Front grapple - Russian leg sweep* Rear grapple - Pendulum back breaker Saturn Front grapple - Death Valley Driver (a.k.a. Pimp drop) British Bulldog Front grapple - Front powerslam Yuji Nagata Rear grapple - Jumping heel kick Chris Jericho Front grapple - Double underhook flip suplex* Dean Malenko Front grapple - Double underhook flip suplex* THQ Man/AKI Man Front grapple - Double underhook flip suplex with pin Rear grapple - Tiger suplex Shogun Rear grapple - Eastern stretch Executioner Front grapple - Powerbomb pin with bridge Dr. Frank Rear grapple - Neck drop Jekel Front grapple - Sideswipe powerbomb pin Maya Inca Boy Front grapple - Chokeslam 02 Rear grapple - Release German suplex Hawk Hana Front grapple - Powerbomb pin Rear grapple - Big clothesline Kim Chee Front grapple - Sambo suplex Dake Ken Rear grapple - Face crusher Ming Chee Front grapple - Front face pancake Rear grapple - Big clothesline Brickowski Front grapple - Powerbomb pin Han Zo Mon Front grapple - Falcon arrow * - If you hold A and B as you do the move, you'll automatically go into that character's finishing submission hold (providing your spirit meter still says "Special" when your opponent hits the ground), much like the "Pancake Slam into Submission" special. Note that this is difficult to do when stealing from Bret Hart, as you won't always come out of the Russian Leg Sweep at your opponent's feet. |¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯| | V.
