1) Introduction
------------------


All of these 'secrets work in both the Japanese and the US version of this game.
I've been having problems with people putting my FAQs up on their sites without 
asking me. If you see this anywhere other then gamefaqs.com, the only place 
that has permisission to house this FAQ, please email me and tell me.

2) Hidden Characters
--------------------
  After the conditions to get the character are met, the character will challenge
you and you must win to get the character.

  Complete the first Bonus Practice with the 8 original characters.

Ness (thanks to Trisbob1@aol.com)

  Finish the game to normal with no continues and stock set to 3.

Captain Falcon

  Finish the game in under 20 minutes.

  Finish the game with anyone.

Classic Super Mario Bros. Stage

  Finish the game with the 8 original characters, with stock set to 3.

Sound Test

  Finish the first 2 Bonus Practices with all 12 characters.

Color Select

  Press the C-Buttons on the character select screen when slecting 
  your character.

Item Switch (thanks to Trisbob1@aol.com)

  Play Vs. Mode 50 times and this option will appear in the Vs. Mode options 
  menu. This option allows you to alter item frequency and to turn specific 
  tems on and off.

Rotate the characters

  You can rotate and view the characters from different angles. Enter
  the character biography section and holding Z, you can use the analog stick 
  to move them around. Not that useful.
