Basic Stuff ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is important if your going to use my FAQ because you have to know what I mean when I say certain things like using the map to get to where you need to be and so on so here are a few things you should know. Map - The map can have three different dots on them and there each a different color and they mean different things. Green - Friendly Craft (don't shoot) Red - Enemy fighters kill most of them but not some. Blue - Civilian (avoid killing at all costs) And also the Orange Cone on the map leads you to where you need to be. Also the Airspeeder has a tow cable, which is the only way to kill the big AT-AT's, but it's hard so I've written a in-depth guide on it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.a) Player Ships (rebel fighters) - X-Wing ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Information - Named for its unique double-layered wings, or S-foils, this ship is one of the most versatile weapons in the Rebel Alliance. In combat, it's S-foils are opened to give it grater maneuverability. These S-foils are closed during normal flight, so it can fly faster while still pulling off advanced aerobatics such as rolls. The X-Wing is formidably armed, with high-powered blaster cannons in its wing tips, plus proton torpedo launchers on its main space-frame. With its reinforced titanium alloy hull and high-powered shield generators, the X-Wing can take a barrage of minor hits and still keep flying. Weapons - Quad Blaster Cannons - Can be shot rapidly by ones, in quick bursts of two, or in slow bursts of four. UPGRADE AVAILABLE - Laser Upgrade Ion Cannon - Only on "rescue on kessel" the X-Wing shoots ion bursts instead of proton torpedoes. The ion blasts put out (stun) the enemy shot at. Proton Torpedoes - X-Wing can carry up to six (6) proton torpedoes, which fire from the middle of the ship. UPGRADES AVAILABLE - Advanced proton torpedoes, seeker proton torpedoes, and advanced seeker torpedoes. Shield Capability - Strong shields which can handle about 5 or more shots from other fighters and about 2 missiles or 4 laser turret bursts. The shields do regenerate if you still have your R2 unit. UPGRADE AVAILABLE - Shield Upgrade ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.b) Player Ships (rebel fighters) - A-Wing ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Information - This is the fastest starfighter in the Rebel Alliance. The A-wing can outrun most ships in the Imperial Navy, making it ideal for Rogue Squadron's hit-and-run missions. Its powerful armament includes twin wing-mounted pivoting blaster cannons and concussion missiles. Although the A-wing is highly maneuverable in dogfights, it cannot sustain much battle damage, and its cockpit design exposes its pilot to enemy fire. Weapons - Twin Laser Cannons - Can be shot rapidly one at a time or shot in quick bursts of two. UPGRADE AVILABLE -Laser Upgrade Concussion Missiles - Shot from the middle of the ship they fire single straight ahead. UPGRADE AVALIBLE - advanced concussion missiles, seeker concussion missiles, advanced seeker concussion missiles. Shield Capability - Weak shields which can only handle a couple of shots around 4 or 5 at most. The shields cannot be regenerated because the A-Wing doesn't have an R2 unit. UPGRADE AVALIBLE - Shield Upgrade ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.c) Player Ships (rebel fighters) - Y-Wing ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Information - A cross between a fighter and a bomber, the Y-wing formed the backbone of the Rebel Alliance starfighter fleet prior to the introduction of the X-wing. The workhorse Y- wing is larger, slower, and less maneuverable than the X-wing, and has difficulty against the more agile Imperial craft. However, it is extremely durable, and heavily armed with blasters, an ion cannon, and bombs, making it ideal for bombing and strafing runs against surface targets. Weapons - Twin Laser Cannons - Can be shot rapidly one at a time or in quick bursts of two. The lasers aren't very powerful and are pretty slow. UPGRADE AVAILABLE - Laser Upgrade Bombs - The Y-Wing can carry 20 bombs which are shot out of the bottom of the craft and explode on impact causing major damage. UPGRADE AVAILBLE - there are two bomb upgrades Shield Capability - Strong shields which can take at least 7 laser shots and mabey 3 missiles. The shield can be regained if your R2 unit is intact. UPGRADE AVAILABLE - Shield Upgrade ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.d) Player Ships (rebel fighters) - Air Speeder ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Information - A nickname for the Incom T-47, this craft made a valiant defense at the Battle of Hoth against Imperial forces, enabling the Rebels to evacuate their base. An airspeeder is limited to low altitudes, is unable to perform elaborate acrobatic maneuvers such as rolls, and has no shields. It compensates for this with fast speed and small size that make it a difficult target for Imperial weapons. This craft is armed with two blaster cannons, plus a tow cable to tangle AT-ATs. Weapons - Twin Laser Cannons - Can be shot rapidly one at a time or in quick bursts of two. UPGRADE AVAILABLE - Laser Upgrade Tow Cable - Can be shot only when right by a AT-AT so it can latch onto its legs then be tied around them to trip it. Shield Capabilities - Weak shields, which can only handle a couple of shots mabey 4 or 5. Also they cannot be regenerated because of the lack of and R2 unit. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.e Player Ships (rebel fighters) - V-Wing ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Information - With its lightweight and swift speed, the V-wing has a definite advantage over the airspeeder. It features a scram jet and a huge booster. Use the scram jet and weapons sparingly, or the engines will overheat. Weapons - Twin Laser Cannons - Can be shot rapidly one at a time, in quick bursts of two, or super fast bursts of 2. UPGRADE AVAILABLE - Laser Upgrade Cluster Missiles - The V-Wing can hold 6 cluster missiles which breakup soon after being shot into the air. The homing cluster missiles will break up the hunt down as many enemies it can see. UPGRADE AVAILABLE - Seeker Cluster Missiles Shield Capabilities - Weak shield, which can handle about 4 shots mabey more. They cannot be regenerated because it doesn't have an R2 unit. UPGRADE AVAILABLE - Shield Upgrade. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.f) Player Ships (rebel fighters) - Millennium Falcon ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Information - This ship is Han Solos smuggling ship which has been illegally upgraded by Han himself. He has put on twin blaster Cannons, and proton torpedo launchers as well as stronger shields and a faster engine. Weapons - Quad Laser Cannons - Can be shot rapidly in single bursts, in groups of two, or in long bursts of four. The lasers are on top and bottom. UPGRADE AVAILABLE - Laser Upgrade Proton Torpedoes - The Millennium Falcon can hold 20 proton torpedoes and can shoot them signally from the middle of the ship. UPGRADES AVAILABLE - Advanced proton torpedoes, seeker proton torpedoes, and advanced seeker torpedoes. Shield Capabilities - Strong Shields which can take at least 15 to 20 shots and a couple of missiles from 4. UPGRADE AVAILABLE - Shield Upgrade ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.g) Player Ships (imperial fighters) - Tie Interceptor ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Information - This dagger-shaped starfighter is more than a match for the Rebel craft, it's nearly as fast as an A-wing and more maneuverable than an X-wing. The weapons include four blaster cannons with advanced targeting software for greater accuracy. It has little armor and no shield generators, it can easily be destroyed with a few direct hits. Weapons - Quad Laser Cannons - Can be shot rapidly one at a time, in quick bursts of two, or slow bursts of four. UPGRAE AVAILABLE - Laser Upgrade Shield Capabilities - The Interceptor has no shields and can barley take three shots so watch out. UPGRADE AVAILABLE - Shield Upgrade ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4.) Imperial Enemies ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Armored Hover Train - With cars heavily defended by numerous gun implements and missile turrets, strafing runs against this mobile target are difficult at best. AT-AT - Short for All Terrain Armored Transport, the four-legged imperial walker strikes terror into the heart of any defender. This mechanized beast is armed with blaster cannons underneath its "chin" and medium blasters on each side of its "head," and has thick armor plating to protect it from most types of artillery fire. Try to wrap the tow cable around the "legs" of an AT-AT with a airspeeder to bring the behemoth down. AT-PT - Short for All Terrain Personal Transport, this small, two legged weapon system has the ability to climb up 45-degree mountains and hills. The AT-PT houses one or two soldiers, surrounding them with thick, heavy armor in its central command pod. It is armed with a twin-blaster cannon. AT-ST - Short for All Terrain Scout Transport, this chicken-like walker is used to support imperial ground troops and protect the vulnerable underbelly of the AT-AT walkers. Since it balances on two legs, the two person AT-ST is more unstable than the AT-AT, but is superior speed and formidable firepower more than make up for its weaknesses. Imperial Probe Droid - This reconnaissance device was used by Darth Vader to locate the rebel base on Hoth. It can move quickly across planet surfaces, and is programmed to detect life forms and signs of habitation. An imperial probe droid is armed with a laser device. Imperial Landing Craft - This heavily armored assault ship devotes two-third of its power to its shields, making it extremely difficult to destroy. TIE Fighter - Powered by twin ion engines a TIE fighter's advantages are excellent maneuverability and its small profile, which makes it difficult target to hit. However these advantages come at a steep price, since it has no shields, no hyperdrive systems, and no other weapons besides forward-mounted blaster cannons. A direct hit to one will usually destroy it. TIE Bomber - A TIE Bomber is armed with two front-firing blaster cannons, and can drop a variety of payloads, including bombs, guided concussion missiles, orbital mines, and thermal detonators. TIE Interceptor - This dagger-shaped starfighter is more than a match for the Rebel craft, since it's nearly as fast as an A-Wing and more maneuverable than an X-Wing. The TIE Interceptor's weapons include four blaster cannons with advanced targeting software for greater accuracy. Since the TIE Interceptor has little armor and no shield generators, it can easily be destroyed with a few direct hits. Waveskimmer - Like its name implies, this attack hydrofoil was designed to operate above water's surface at high speeds. Originally built around the frame of an AT-AT, a waveskimmer is far more maneuverable than it's land-bound counterpart. Shield Generator - A device that produces the power to create and maintain deflector shields and focus those shields around a given object. Wherever there is a shield that cannot be breached, there's sure to be a shield generator nearby. Destroying the generator is a sure way to take out the shield. Radar Dish - A Radar dish is a rotating dish that alerts the Empire to incoming enemies. Destroying the radar dishes can limit the Imperials' ability to track down your craft. Radar dishes can also function as a general communications device. Turbolaser (laser turret) - Turbolasers are the backbone of imperial planetary defenses throughout the galaxy. These are stationary cannons fire twin blasters strong enough to take any fighter or infantry. Missile Turret - Advanced ground-based defense weaponry used to protect important imperial facilities. These turrets fire powerful missiles that home in on there targets and rarely miss. The destructive capability of these missiles should not be underestimated. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5.a) Story - Chapter I ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- THE REBEL OPPOSITION Six months have passed since the Battle of Yavin. The Death Star has been destroyed, but the fight for freedom is far from over. As the war against the Empire rages across the vastness of space, Luke Skywalker forms the legendary Rogue Squadron from the Rebel Alliance's most skilled X-wing pilots. Their mission: to defend the struggling Rebel Alliance against a still powerful and battle hardened Imperial foe, in a last ditch effort to control the galaxy... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5.b) Story - Chapter II ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ROGUE SQUADRON Kasan Moor, Imperial Ace and leader of the dreaded 128th TIE Interceptor Squadron has now defected to the Rebel Alliance. As a loyal soldier for the Empire, Moor witnessed both its cruelty and hypocrisy in the destruction of her home world, Alderaan. Convinced to join Rogue Squadron, Moor offers her flight expertise in addition to knowledge of hidden Imperial strongholds... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5.c) Story - Chapter III ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- THE NEW THREAT With the rescue of Wedge Antilles and Rogue Squadron at full strength the Rebel Alliance turns its attention to a new Imperial threat - Moff Moff Seerdon. Preparing to capture Thyferra, with its precious supply of the healing Bacta, Seerdon is now consolidating his power for a massive attack. His success could very well break the fledgling Rebellion and surely doom the galaxy to Imperial rule. Luke Skywalker and Rogue Squadron are asssigned to disrupt his operations with swift hit and run missions against key targets such as the Imperial mining operation near Taloraan... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5.d) Story - Chapter IV ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DARK EMPIRE Six years after the Battle of Endor, the fight for freedom continues. Even without the thousands of Jedi Knights who formed the backbone of the Old Republic, the Rebel Alliance has managed to control three quarters of the galaxy. Darth Vader is dead but a reborn Empire, under a mysterious new leader, strikes back at the struggling Rebel Alliance, hoping to crush the fledgling New Republic. Massive World Devastators, more powerful and unstoppable than the Death Star, ravage entire planets. Rogue Squadron, which is now commanded by Wedge Antilles, persists in mounting daring missions throughout the galaxy... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6.a) Characters - Luke Skywalker ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The greatest hero of the Rebel Alliance, Luke Skywalker needs little introduction. Among his accomplishments are blowing up the Death Star, rescuing Princess Leia, and helping fend of Imperial forces in the battle of Hoth so the rebel base there could be evacuated. After the battle of Yavin, Luke and Wedge Antilles formed Rouge Squadron. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6.b) Characters - Wedge Antilles ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- One of Rouge Squadron's true aces, the native of Corellia was orphaned as a teenager, then began smuggling weapons for the Rebels. Once he took up flying X-Wing starfighters, he soon proved himself to be a crack fighter pilot and extremely competent, if low-profile, leader, Wedge saved Luke Skywalker during the attack on the first Death Star at the battle of Yavin. Later, they formed Rouge Squadron together. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6.c) Characters - Dack Ralter ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This young Alliance hero was Luke Skywalker's airspeeder gunner during the defense of the Rebel base at Hoth. Dack's parents were political prisoners of the Empire, and he escaped from the imperial prison barge when he was a teenager. Ralter is skilled in both a pilot and a gunner. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6.d) Characters - Wes Janson ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This tough, smart, action-living lieutenant was a gunner In Wedge Antilles' airspeeder during the Battle of Hoth, and helped bring down an AT-AT Walker by tangling it's legs in a cable. Janson is a past winner of the True Gunner award for outstanding accuracy. This Rouge is one of those rare soldiers who is competent on the ground as he is in the air and can shoot and fly with tremendous skill. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6.e) Characters - Zev Senesca ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A highly-decorated pilot and long-time member of the Rebel Alliance, Senesca shot down 49 Imperial crafts prior to the Battle of Hoth. Politically motivated to join the rebel forces, Senesca was motivated by tragedy after his parents were killed by the empire. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6.f) Characters - Darek ("Hobbie") Kilivain ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- That rare pilot who is both extremely capable and extremely humble, Hobbie was a former Imperial cadet who mutinied and deserted his Imperial Academy to join the Rebel Alliance. Hobbie has a reputation for enjoying bacta baths, as well as crashing every craft he touches and surviving. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6.g) Characters - Carlist Rieekan ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This former officer in the Old Republic army joined the Rebel Alliance after his home planet, Alderaan, was vaporized by the first Death Star. Rieekan was named Theater Commander in charge of all Rebel ground and fleet forces in the Hoth System. Later, he was forced to evacuate the Hoth base when it was overrun by Imperial Forces. After the Hoth evacuation, General Rieekan was given command of military operations for the Rebel Alliance. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6.h) Characters - Crix Madine - ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This correlian is a highly-decorated Imperial officer. He originally earned his reputation as a brilliant leader in charge of the storm commandos, an elite Imperial army unit. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6.h) Characters - Kasan Moor ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This native of Alderaan was one of the rising stars in the Imperial Navy, quickley moving up the ranks from crack TIE FIGHTER ILOT TOI LEADER OF THE 128TH TIE Interceptor Squadron. Her allegiance toward the Empire soon wavered, however, when she was informed that her home planet had been obliterated by the Death Star. While she continues to distinguish herself by flying with the 128th, Moor is contemplating defection to the Rebel Force, since she believes her allegiance to the Imperial forces means if they can coldly destroy her friends and family. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6.i) Characters - Moff Kohl Seerdon ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Formally Kasan Moor's Mentor, Imperial Moof Seerdon is now angry at her, since she is not sure which side she is fighting for. Moff Seerdon is attempting to consolidate bacta supplies under his control, and sees Rouge Squadron as a threat to his plans of domination. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7.a) Level - Ambush on Mos Eisley ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- MISSION INFO and GUIDE - Default Ship - X-Wing - Blaster Cannons, Proton torpedoes Mission Briefing - Take an early morning run over Mos Eisley with Wedge Antilles, but keep your eyes open for suspicious activity. Mission Objectives - Protect the Homestead Destroy the Probe Droids Protect Mos Eisley Destroy the Imperial Forces This mission takes place on Luke Skywalker's home planet of Tatooine, a bleak, forbidding desert world scorched by twin suns in the Outer Rim. Tatooine has recently been colonized due to its strategic location near several hyper-space routes. Its largest spaceport city, Mos Eisley, is a crossroads for interstellar commerce, and is populated with pirates, thieves, and smugglers. Ok this level is pretty simple. You'll start off and Wedge (second in charge) he'll tell you about the probe droids dead ahead. They'll take out one in front of you and sometimes the ones beside it. That is almost all the help you get on this level. You'll have to take out the Droids one by one. It's best if you use Linking Lasers (all four and once, press C-Down twice) and hold brake because this gives you more time. To almost be assured the kill get the droid in the second green circle (the small one) and pull the trigger. Keep doing this to every one. Always look at the map when your lost or cant find any and make sure the "orange" is going up or isn't there (meaning your where your suppose to be). Also most likely sometime during this part Wedge will say "I'm Clear, but my fighter is down!" Get use to it he'll do that almost every level but no biggy he doesn't do anything anyway. (No offense) Once you kill all the Droids you'll get a cut scene with some bombers bombing Mos Eisley (yes it is the city in the movie). There are six of them simple. Close your S- Foils (C-Right) and use your speed burst (Hold A) then head there. It's hard to find without the map so just get the orange going up. When you get there make sure your back on rapid fire (one laser at a time, press C-Down once more) first get behind one group of 3 Bombers and shoot them down from behind hold brake if it's to hard when your going that fast. After the first set wait for the next set of Bombers to come around their circle and jump in behind them and shoot them down make sure you hit the cockpit (in between the wings on the sides. When there down the screen will go black then you'll get another cut scene. Now you have access to the next level! Gold Medal Completion Time: 3:00 Enemies Destroyed: 31 Accuracy: 15% Friendly saves: 50 Bonuses Collected: 0 Help on Getting Gold - This level isn't very hard to get a gold medal on all you need to do is be quick accurate and make sure you get the four (4) storm troopers that are by the second big set of Probe Droids. Once you've gotten them make sure you close your S-foils whenever your not killing enemies. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7.b) Levels Rendezvous on Barkesh ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Default Ship - X-Wing - Blaster Cannons, Proton torpedoes Mission Briefing - Escort Valuable rebel supplies through dangerous territory, over the humid lands of Barkhesh. Mission Objectives - Escort Convoy to safety You'll fly this mission on Barkhesh, a planet noted for its hot, humid, tropical jungles in its southern regions. The local resistance there is transporting supplies desperately needed by the Rebellion. The Empire will do everything in its power to stop the transfer, and has posted Imperial scout walkers in the planet's canyons. This level gets a bit harder from the last. Most people have a hard time with it but I seemed to complete it on my first try. Anyway When you start out after about 5 seconds you'll say take your targets and go. So link you lasers and take out the 4 probe droids. After there dead don't follow you wingmen but keep going straight and you'll see some people and a little base set up. DON'T SHOOT!! Go right a bit passed the cars (that's what your protecting) and kill the probe droids (there are 5 or 6) after that go right and go in between the mountains. And you'll see a chicken walker (AT-ST) kill it, shoot it in the head on rapid fire. After it's dead if you were quick keep going straight and you'll see two more AT-ST's. If you haven't heard someone say "Watch out for ties" or something like that kill them. Then right when you do turn around and go back to the cargo and kill the two bombers that should be on their way from behind them. After the ties go back and kill the AT-ST's (if they're still alive) then keep following the trail. Up above on the hill to your left is a laser turret you can kill it if you want. After a left turn there is a break in the area and 3 Chicken Walkers one an each side and one straight ahead. Kill the 2 close ones first. Use proton missiles if you have them. When the two are dead kill the one straight ahead of you. When that's done you might have a few seconds before the cargo (or what's left of it) makes a left hand turn then two tie Bombers will come charging at the cargo. They'll make a circle before the bomb them so don't worry you have a bit of time. Kill them before they take out your cargo. Then your free for a while and eventually you'll get one TIE interceptor come but that's easy take him out and your done. Gold Medal Completion Time: 5:45 Enemies Destroyed: 30 Accuracy: 40% Friendly saves: 19 Bonuses Collected: 0 Tips on how to get gold - This levels also pretty easy just make sure all the convoy lives. Try to kill the tie bombers before there even close to the convoy because they kill fast. Also there are some other enemies toward the end that are buy two other convoy pieces that you don't have to protect. Follow the path down and there are a bunch of storm troopers a laser turret and two AT-ST's. For them you could also kill them earlier when you just start. But also make sure you take out all the laser turrets along the way. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7.c) Level - The Search For Nonnah ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Default Ship - A-Wing Mission Briefing - Race against time to recover the crew and cargo of a downed rebel ship. Help it before the imperials beat you to it Mission Objectives - Locate the crashed rebel ship Protect the ship from invading imperial forces In this mission, you'll be flying over the lakes of Chorax, trying to locate a downed Rebel ship in a race against the Imperials. You'll be in the cockpit of an A-wing for this mission, which has been chosen for its superior speed. You'll have to use the A- wings quickness and agility to avoid Imperial fire because the A-wing's shields are relatively fragile. This level is also pretty simple this is a "Seek and Protect" mission. You have to find a crashed ship somewhere in the water. There are three places it can be found. You don't have to find it if you want to rack up some kills just go around killing the Probe Droids, Interceptors, Bombers and even some normal TIE's. After awhile someone will say The Nonnah is under attack rogue squadron come protect. Or something like that so get the orange on the map up and your on your way. When you get there. There will be a Imperial craft landed sending out AT-ST's and moving laser turrets. Kill them all and you'll get a cut scene with some bombers and then you must go after them there should be two bombers and some interceptors, one or two, but there not as dangerous as the bombers, There first priority. Take them out as fast as you can then the Rest of the ties. After you'll see that there are some AT-PT's and some laser turrets smoke um. About now the ship should lift off now you have to protect it from around 10-30 TIE's Bombers, Interceptors and, normal TIE's. This can be tough, try to hang back and kill the oncoming TIE's try not to get in front of them unless you want to get fried. Just take out the TIES that get close and pretty soon you'll get the ending cut scene. You did it now on to the hard level. Gold Medal Completion Time: 10:00 Enemies Destroyed: 38 Accuracy: 20% Friendly Saves: 1 Bonuses Collected: 0 Tips on how to get Gold - On this level all you have to do is kill enough enemies the times easy to get just kill all the enemies you see and you should get it. Also to get your accuracy up shoot the ship that lets out all the AT-ST's and AT-PT's. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7.d) Level Defection at Corellia ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Default Craft - Incom - T47 (Snow Speeder) Mission Briefing - Imperial officer Cix Madine wishes to join the rebel alliance, but the empire will do anything to stop him. Mission Objectives - Investigate Strange Readings Protect the Capital Tower Protect the Tech Center Protect the Evacuation Shuttles With its rolling hills, immense oceans, and cities with wide-open spaces, Corellia is a pleasant spot in the galaxy. The Corellian system is known for its fast ships, wily traders, and pirates. the planet's extensive shipyards attracted the attention of the Empire, who then invaded and occupied it. Ok this is by far one of the hardest levels in the whole game. The main problem people have is on the two AT-AT's so I have put in a section on just that at the bottom of my FAQ (check the Contents) Ok when you start you'll get a couple seconds of peace (that's the most you get this level!) Soon someone will say I'm picking up something on my radar) So it'll put it on your radar so head for the orange. When you get there it's some probe droids. Take um out and then you'll get a short cut scene with some Bombers. Head back and you should end up by a building. PROTECT IT at all costs. Whenever you see a bomber kill it a fast as you can. After a while (about 10 kills by my count) you'll get another cut-scene. Now head over there this takes a while but don't worry nothing happens until you get there. But when you do you have to kill some Bombers and some normal TIE's after a couple of them (probably 10 to) you'll get yet another cut-scene with an old friend of yours. After you have to head back to the building you were protecting the first time. When you get there don't worry about the TIE's but further a bit you should see an AT-AT (this is where it get hard) Go to it a wrap around the legs three times! It's hard but after a while it becomes natural (Go to my Tow Cable section down below for more help) After the first one kill some TIE's (simple after that) and you'll get another cut-scene. Head back to the other building you were protecting last time. Now first kill the little people. They're small and easy but deadly. Kill them off and then head for the two AT'ST's. Take them out one by one, keep going in circles and shoot them down. Now you have to wrap another AT-AT. This one you have less time to do it in. After that you'll get one more problem they send a ship to pick up the civilians from the building. So some TIE's (6 normal ones) come, kill them and your done just make sure the ship gets away safely. Gold Medal Completion Time: 10:00 Enemies Destroyed: 50 Accuracy: 20% Friendly Saves: 95 Bonuses Collected: 1 Tips on getting Gold - Don't even try until you get good at taking out the AT-AT's and make sure you get the bonus in the city buy where you have to evacuate the building. Also kill the boats along the water when your finished. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7.e) Level - Liberation of Gefrard V ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Default Ship - X-Wing Mission Briefing - The cowardly imperial governor is looting the city, using his luxury yachts to transport goods Help the citizens of Gerrard V keep their rightful treasures. And stop the empire in its tracks. Mission Objectives - Escort Y-Wings to their targets Disable civilian Yachts Destroy the big gun turret This mission pits you against a skilled Imperial ace, Kasan Moor. Populated by Rebel supporters, Gerrard V once revolted against the Empire, but this insurrection was crushed by orbital bombings from Imperial Star Destroyers. Ok this is a different kind of level. It's like you do it without knowing what you did and you never really play it again. This is a protection mission so it takes a bit of time. You have to protect the Y-Wings so they can shoot the boats down. (Flying boats) Don't you go shoot the boats only they can or you fail. (I've done it) When you start there will be a laser turret straight ahead. Get real low to the ground and then start firing. After he's dead search the city for other turrets. Make sure you take out the missile turrets on the mountain to the side of the city as soon as can. After they take out a couple of them you'll get a cut-scene "Oh man we've got the 128th TIE squadron coming" so now you gotta hurry move on to the next area a search it again and kill all the missile and laser turrets. Now you'll get some TIE fighters. Now kill them just keep going for a while until you get the final cut-scene with a Y-Wing. Gold Medal Completion Time: 5:15 Enemies Destroyed: 33 Accuracy: 30% Friendly Saves: 6 Bonuses Collected: 01 Help on Getting GOLD - This level isn't very hard to get gold as long as you keep the Y-Wings alive and kill everything that moves. If you do this you'll get the gold pretty easy. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7.f) Level - The Jade Moon ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Default Ship - X-Wing Mission Briefing - Lt. Kasan Moor has supplied Rogue Squadron with the location of an imperial moon base. General Madine will lead the ground raid. Rogue Squadron provides air support. Mission Objectives - Use the trench to avoid missile turrets Locate and destroy the shield generator Escort and protect Madine's troops. Kasan Moor was a good enough pilot to command the 128th TIE Interceptor squadron, but her conscience was active enough to tell her that she was fighting for the wrong side. When the Death Star destroyed Alderaan she began to realize that she did not share the same vision as the Empire. The scuffle at Gerrard V gave her the opportunity to defect to the Rebel Alliance. This is a really fun level and it can be pretty tough if you don't know what you're doing. When you start out you'll get a message about Kasan, but nothing important, yet when you pass the first hill there will be some buildings and a very hard to see AT-PT kill it and then there are three more. Their is one in the center, then behind him one on the left and right. You will probably die here I usually do but after they're dead you have to kill the laser turrets by the shield. There are two to the left (ones hard to see, it's in a ditch under the high one) and there are two on the right. Theirs one right by the shield and one above a building. After that start going back to where you started on the map you should see a white part on one side well go toward it. It is a canyon, go in it and stay low. After a while you'll see a laser turret and behind it there is a split in the canyon. Kill the turret and go right. If you go Left you can get the shield upgrade. I'll tell you that in another section. Go right and after a while you'll see some buildings, an AT-ST and some turrets also the Shield Generator. So take out the 3 laser turrets and theirs one missile turret (the missile turret is above the generator) after they're gone take out the Shield generator. (Two protons should do it) Now you'll get a cut-scene. After you have to get back to the place where the shields use to be to protect them. This time go above the mountains but watch out for all the Missile Turrets just keep moving around. When you get there kill the AT-PT's there are four. (One is behind the buildings) After you have to take out some bombers and interceptors. Finally when you've killed the fighters and kept at least one guy alive you did it. Gold Medal Completion Time: 6:00 Enemies Destroyed: 45 Accuracy: 40% Friendly saves: 7 Bonuses Collected: 1 Help on Getting GOLD - This level is a bit tough to get a gold medal on. When you start make sure all of you're allies live and you kill every enemy and building before moving on to find the generator. Also don't let your ground ships die when the shield is down. If you do that and are quick you should get it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7.g) Levels - Imperial Construction Yards ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Default Ship - Snow Speeder (Incom-T47) Mission Briefing - Kasan Moor's information has once again provided the location of a hidden enemy base, Responsible for the production of Imperial walkers. Mission Objectives - Approach the Base Undetected Destroy the AT-AT Factory Destroy the AT-ST Factory This mission sends you over the facilities of Balmorra, a factory planet that builds advanced weapons of destruction for the Imperial forces. Although occupied by the Empire, the inhabitants of Balmorra long for independence and free markets for their renowned weapons technology. Ok this level probably seems to be one of the hardest but they're some "shortcuts" you can use to do it easier. When you start off you will have to destroy satellites on your way to the base. At first you will see one in the middle sitting on a hill. Destroy it as fast as you can (hold the brakes) When you kill the first one you will have a bit of space then you'll see the next one that's a bit to the right. Do the same to this one and the next. After the first three satellites are taken out you will see that there is a split in the canyon because of a mountain in the middle. Go left (if you go right you will be detected and fail) No when you go left you might have a hard time. There is a satellite around a bend that's sharp and it is really close. You have to be able to shoot it the second you see it. If you get to close you fail but if you do it your almost there. Now there will be another satellite in the middle of a hill right after the hard one shoot it down and you have one more that you will see after you pass that one its lower but also in the middle. Now that you did your first mission you now have to blow up some bases but there are actually four different setups that are all around but you only need to kill two of them. Once you kill the last satellite keep going straight along the left mountain wall. After a bit there will be a left hand turn take it but get real low to the ground barley hover. Around the corner there are 4 turrets (two laser two missile) an AT-AT, AT-ST and the first factory (AT-AT) all you have to do is first kill the two laser turrets. (only because they will kill you) after there dead don't worry about the AT-AT. Next kill the two Missile turrets. Once they're gone (you've probably died once by now) shoot the three buildings the one in the middle and the ones on each side. You might get shoot by the far of missile turret but don't worry it shouldn't kill you. Once you have killed the three buildings you destroyed the AT-AT Factory. Ok now get past that pesky AT-AT and hang toward the left wall and take the left turn still by the wall and you will probably see a AT-AT and two other setups there noting. After you make another left turn you should see an AT-ST and a laser turret. Kill them both the keep going and you'll see two or three more laser turrets and one or two missile turrets. Kill them of and mabey the only other moving AT-ST then start your fire on the three building on the left middle and right. After there dead you have completed the mission and the level!! Gold Medal Completion Time: 6:30 Enemies Destroyed: 80 Accuracy: 45% Friendly Saves: 0 Bonuses Collected: 1 Help on Getting Gold - Just live and beat the level fast while killing every enemy you can as you go through it. Also time yourself so you know how much time you have to kill enemies at the end before you finish the level. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7.h) Levels - Assault on Kile II (2) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Default Ship - Y-Wing Mission Briefing - The deep canyons of Kile II hide the imperial enclave, a sprawling facility supporting the Empires navy throughout this sector. Destroy key elements and help break the empires hold on the local planets. Mission Objectives - Locate and destroy Sensor array Locate and destroy the imperial spaceport Locate and destroy the imperial garrisons On this planet you'll be attacking the imperial Enclave, an enormous facility that supports the Empire's naval operations in that sector of the galaxy. The surface of Kile II in marked by canyons and large, enclosed areas, where you'll find Imperial spaceport, a long-range sensor post, and troop barracks. Ok this level is a maze and can be hard to navigate so I'm gonna put in a GIF soon but for now try this. When you start you'll be heading up and after a while you'll see you have to make a right turn do it but make sure you go on the right side of the canyon when it splits in two. After a bit there will be a part where you can go left. Don't keep going on the right. Now you will have a bit of space then you will see a part with two laser turrets and a couple of buildings (bunkers I think) anyway kill the turrets and keep going right. After another right hand turn you should see the space port. Destroy it there will be some TIE's and a bunch of turrets. Kill all of it don't leave anything left. After it is destroyed you finished one of the missions now start back through the canyon but right when you see the first cut where you ca go right do it make a hard U-turn and start going. Soon you should see the garrison, which is four buildings, lined up. Kill them all and you've finished another mission. Now head up and to the left and you should see the communications array. (six satellites a couple of turrets and a big building) Kill all the turrets first (there are missile and laser ones) Once there gone hit the satellites with bombs and then the building tunnels that were leading to them. Next kill the main building in the center. Sometime during destroying the communications array Wedge would have been shot down. Don't worry it has to happen. Now your done with that level. Gold Medal Completion Time: 6:00 Enemies Destroyed: 65 Accuracy: 60% Friendly Saves: 0 Bonuses Collected: 0 Help on Getting GOLD - This level is one of the easiest. Just live kill and boost! You shouldn't have a trouble except maybe the accuracy and for that just shoot the non-movable enemies so you don't miss trying to kill TIE fighters. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7.i) Levels - Rescue on Kessel ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Default Ship - X-Wing (Ion Cannons) Mission Briefing - You must find wedge before the imperials deliver him to the prison facilities - and cretin death Mission Objectives - Rescue Wedge This mission takes you to the reddish, potato-shaped planet of Kessel, where the Empire has a notorious prison facility. In the unlikely event that Wedge Antilles is not immediately executed by the Empire, he'll spend the rest of his days toiling in the forced labor mines extracting glitterstim spice. This level can be really, really easy but some people don't listen and either kill the train with lasers. Or just let it go and it gets to the facility and fail because you don't know what to do. Well all you have to do is shoot it with your ion cannons (secondary button) Ok when you start you can kill the two buildings the missile turret and the AT-ST if you want but you don't have to. After that you can go over the mountain on the right of you and you should see the hover train. Go close and someone will say we found the train, disable it. Or something then use your ion cannons on the last two carts first. They have laser and missile turrets that will shoot you down. Then there's another gun one in the middle of the train. Do the same to that and then just shoot the rest of the train it's really easy as long as you keep moving and try to dodge the other ground enemies fire. After you've stunned a couple of train's sections your r2 unit will inform you that the train Is slowing down. Now if you want you can go kill some ground enemies to try to get enough kills for the medal. (you only need 26) Gold Medal Completion Time: 4:30 Enemies Destroyed: 26 Accuracy: 40% Friendly Saves: 5 Bonuses Collected: 0 Help on Getting GOLD- This level can be tough because of the fact that you have to watch out for the train as well. First kill all of the enemies on the left side of the mountains. Once you make it to the big detention area move to the right and put out all but one of the trains carts. Now kill everything you can until you have to stop the train. Also don't worry about time the train always makes the time. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7.j) Levels - Prisons on Kessel ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Default Ship - X-Wing (proton) Mission Briefing - Now that Wedge is safe, help general Madine free other rebels from the notorious prisons of kessel. Mission Objectives - Protect and escort Madines Shuttle Destroy the power Generator In this mission, you'll once again fly over Kessel, the only planet where glitterstim spice is produced. This valuable substance is prized for giving telepathic abilities to anyone who consumes it, although users can become addicted to it. Before joining the Rebel forces, Han Solo used to smuggle glitterstim spice from Kessel for Jabba the Hutt. I cant really help you on this level but I can give you some helpful information. When you start the mission keep going straight and kill the three probe droids and then kill the three TIE Interceptors. About now Madine will tell you about the shield and its generator. Now go to the generator and blow it up. After you do that go back and protect him from the TIES and turrets. The less damage it takes the faster the ship goes. After that one you have to do it to three more. On the second one they're a upgrade for concussion missiles its on a ledge to the side of the base. Also on the second base there are two AT-ST's so take them out first. After you do all the bases you just have to protect him a bit longer and you've done it. A couple of other things is to make sure you kill the storm troopers to they do, do some damage. Plus don't chase the TIE's to far that leaves the people open for attack. Gold Medal Completion Time: 10:30 Enemies Destroyed: 103 Accuracy: 40% Friendly Saves: 35 Bonuses Collected: 1 Help on Getting GOLD- OK this is the level everybody want's to know how to get the 103 kills! Well it's plain and simple. Don't shoot the bases with the storm troopers until all of the troopers come out and you kill them. You will get it pretty easily if you do this. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7.k) Levels - Battle Above Toloraan ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Default Ship - A-Wing Mission Briefing - In the skies above Taloraan, fight the empire for control of the tibanna gas platforms. But be careful not to harm the civilian operations there Mission Objectives - Locate and destroy the Imperial Tibanna Gas Containers. Avoid Civilian Casualties In this high-altitude mission, you'll be flying in the cloudy atmosphere of Taloraan, and enormous gas planet with a strong magnetic field in the Kelavine system of the expansion region. The planets Tibanna gas is breathable at high altitudes, and also used in the production of weapons. This level can be easy to do every thing. When you start out you will see a floating "island" and on it is a bunch of barrel things. What you have to do is shoot down the ones with the white and red sign on them but do not shoot the ones with the blue stripes around them. Those are civilians. Anyway after you kill a couple of them you should find them there are a layer of barrels around the top and two layers and the bottom section. Make sure you check every one. After you do a couple of them about 5 you'll see a little floating city. Inside the middle is advanced lasers. Make sure you get them there really important. After that there is only one more to do. After that you've completed it. During the level there will be a lot of TIE's you can shoot them down it gives you 7:oo minutes to get a gold so go and kill as many as you can and don't worry about the time. Also you have to get the Laser every time you go for the Gold medal even if you already have it. Gold Medal Completion Time: 7:00 Enemies Destroyed: 90 Accuracy: 70% Friendly Saves: 1 Bonuses Collected: 1 Help on Getting GOLD- This level can be tough because of accuracy or kills. Just kill all of the ties you can with seeker missiles while blowing up the tank. Once at the end take out a bunch of TIE's and finish the level. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7.l) Levels - Escape from Fest ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Default ship - Snow Speeder Mission Briefing - During the taloraan operation, a team of rebel commodes stole several AT-PT's from an imperial base on Fest. Mission Objectives - Destroy the Imperial Research Facility Free the AT-PTs Escort Rebel AT-PT's to the Landing Zone This mission takes you to a planet in the Atrivis sector of the outer rim near the Mantoonie system. Enormous, steep mountains and valleys punctuate Fest's landscape. Atop one of these mountains, the Empire has a top secret weapons research facility, where experiments are conducted to create new metal alloys. Among the inhabitance of Fest are resistance group who opposes the Empire. This is a pretty tough level like most others it's a protection one. This time you have to protect some AT-PT's from AT-AT's and moving laser turrets. When you start out go to the right a bit toward the Shield Generator and blow up the two laser turrets. Then kill the other two laser turrets on you left. After there dead you should be able to see an open space with three AT-PT's and an AT-AT. Go wrap around the AT-AT (see lower for help) after you've done that turn around and go over the wall but don't destroy it. Now you should be able to see another AT-AT. Go and wrap that one. Now hurry and blow up the Shield Generator. After it's destroyed go back toward where the wall was and you'll see the AT-PT's. Now you have to protect them. Run ahead and kill as many moving turrets as you can. When you see the AT-AT wrap it and then go back and kill all the moving turrets. From now on you just have to shoot all the turrets as you can and the occasional TIE. After a while you should see a big tall, but thin car thing. Don't shoot it but let the AT-PT's go up to it and then there safe. Now the second mission objectives done and you move onto the first. Now you have to blow up the research facility. If you haven't blown up the Shield Generator Go do it now. After it's gone you can go get the upgrade that's up above the mountain by where the first AT-AT was. Blow up the building and it should be there. Now look at your map and go to the research facility. When you get there kill the bunker and then concentrate your firepower on the main big building. After it has been destroyed your on to the next level. Gold Medal Completion Time: 6:30 Enemies Destroyed: 65 Accuracy: 25% Friendly Saves: 7 Bonuses Collected: 1 Help on Getting Gold- If you get the upgrade and make the time you should have already killed enough enemies if not blow up everything even the other base to the left of the generator as you're coming back to protect the at-pt's. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7.m) Levels - Blockade on Chandrila ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Default Ship - X-Wing Mission Briefing - Moff Serdon has chosen to hold Chandrila hostage. In an attempt to make the rebellion pay for its raid on fest. You must help the innocent people of Chandrila, protect the supply train, and stop the Empire Mission Objectives - Escort and protect the supply train Protect the City You and Rogue Squadron will call on the rural agricultural planet of Chandrila, in the Bormea sector of the Core Worlds. While the inhabitants of Chandrila are peace- loving, they have openly supported the Rebels against the Empire. This level is pretty fun sometimes but can become aggravating. When you start the level it's a protect level but then when you move more into the level it becomes more of a destroy and protect level. Ok when you start out you will be behind a hover train and what you have to do is protect it from the TIE bombers and Interceptors. When you start out slow down and back off from the train so you can shoot the TIE's that come from behind. Remember don't shoot you Proton's yet you'll need them for the Chicken walkers that come later in the level. After a while you should have killed a bunch of TIE's and mabey lost part of the train but don't worry you only have to have one little section to complete the mission. After you see the cut-scene with the bombers destroying the city close your S-Foils and speed straight to the end of the city. Somewhere to the right of the end is a lone chicken walker shoot it down with lasers if you can and then take the Advanced bombs for the Y-Wing. Next you should go and kill some bombers two or three should do it. Now you'll get another cut-scene with three ships being shot at by some AT-ST's. Now charge over there using your map to help. Then when you get there let rip with your Protons one into every AT-ST. There are six of them three on each side of the ships. Mow you should be safe from protecting the ships. After they're gone and safe you'll get another cut-scene with some bombers and interceptors. Now go kill them there is about nine of them. There are three interceptors and two sets of three bombers. After there dead you've beaten the level. Gold Medal Completion Time: 5:45 Enemies Destroyed: 35 Accuracy: 20% Friendly Saves: 4 Bonuses Collected: 1 Help on Getting GOLD- For some reason the hardest part is keeping enough of you're allies alive if you do that you have it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7.n) Levels - Raid On Sullust ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Default Ship - Y-Wing Mission Briefing - Kasan Moor is engineering an assault on a volcano base on Sullust. In a retaliatory attack for the blockade on Chandrila. Mission Objectives - Destroy the Transmitters Destroy the capacitor In this mission, you'll fly through the thick, hot, dark clouds over Sullust, a bleak, volcanic planet in the Sullust system. With the planet's surface shrouded in toxic gases, the millions of native Sullustans have created a large underground network of caves and cities. This level is really tough to live through so most people will use the IGIVEUP cheat but still it is possible to beat it without it it's just really hard. When you start out go around the whole level and destroy all the missile launchers. Don't worry about the laser turrets. After you've gone through the level, theirs a lot of the missile turrets so make sure you get as many as you can see. There are about 20 or so (there may be more or less. I haven't counted them . . . yet) An easier way of doing it is to start from the out side and move in. So circle the outside of the level then go inside and destroy the rest of them. Also when your at the back of the level there's a little building with a missile turret and a AT-ST guarding it. If you destroy it you'll get a bonus which is - - - Ok after you've destroyed the missile turrets go up high in the air. And now bomb the transmitters. There the little brown things on the ground usually guarded by 1 or two laser turrets but they shouldn't be too much of a problem once you get high enough. Some people may find it easier in the cockpit view (inside the ship which is up on the control pad) This is pretty tough also but don't get discouraged. After you kill them all (I think there are about 15 of them) you'll get a message from Kasan. She'll tell you that you must destroy the capacitor then you'll say well have to use all the firepower at once or something like that. After that go to the center of the level and find the capacitor. It's a big huge flying thing in the air. It has a bunch of cylinders with orange lights on them and they're circling the capacitor. Try to shoot them down (it's to hard to bomb them) Also try not to go inside the section they're moving around in. You'll blow up by either hitting the cylinders or just low up for no apparent reason. It's a glitch but I think it has something to do with the different sections and how they put them together but I'm no game creator/programmer yet. Once you blow them all up you'll blow up the thing and you've completed another level. Gold Medal Completion Time: 4:00 Enemies Destroyed: 40 Accuracy: 75% Friendly Saves: 0 Bonuses Collected: 1 Help on Getting GOLD- Time, time, time, time, be as fast as you can and kill like made without missing. It's really hard but you can do it if you try hard and kill fast and with extremely good accuracy. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7.o) Levels - Moff Seerdons Revenge ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Default Ship - X-Wing Mission Briefing - By leading Rogue Squadron to sullust. Moof Seerdon has secretly captured the bacta supplies of Thyferra, and now intends to cut of medical supplies to the Alliance, Free Thyreffa, and defeat Seerdon once and fro all. Mission Objectives - Protect the Bacta Containers Avoid Civilian Casualties Destroy all imperial bunkers, fighters, and bombers Locate and destroy Moff Seerdon The locale of this mission is Thyferra, where insect-like Vratix have developed a remarkable fluid called bacta. This miracle liquid can heal every medical condition from a scratch to a life-threatening emergency. Not surprisingly, bacta has become much sought-after by medical clinics throughout the galaxy, and by cartels that seek to control the galactic bacta industry to reap huge profits. This level isn't to tough but takes time because it's pretty long but other than that the skilled player (which you should be by now) shouldn't have to much trouble. When you start you'll see a missile turret straight ahead. Take it down. And then go to the first base setup. Using your map. There are about ten base setups with a couple of turrets (laser and missile) and usually 2 or 3 TIES an AT-ST, and a bunker with storm troopers. When you see the setups don't shoot the bacta containers. They are the cylinder things with the rebel emblem on them. After you've taken out all the bases there's about 10 of them some are small and may consist of one or two things. After there all destroyed you'll have to kill a bunch of TIE interceptors before the final fight with Moff Seerdon. Once you've killed all the TIE's and imperial setups you'll have to fight Moff Seerdon. He's pretty tough. Go fly away from him then from a far distance turn around and shoot missiles and lasers at him until you pass him. Then keep going and do it again. Keep repeating this process until He's destroyed. After that you've done another level. Gold Medal Completion Time: 6:00 Enemies Destroyed: 45 Accuracy: 30% Friendly Saves: 55 Bonuses Collected: 1 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7.p) Levels - Battle of Calamari ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Default Ship - V-Wing Mission Briefing - The world devastators are raining destruction on the peaceful world of Mon Calamari. Fly as Wedge Antilles, and battle against all odds to stop their evil conquest. Mission Objectives - Destroy world Devastators Protect the city This is the last normal level (without getting medals) and it's pretty tough but not as tough as you would think after levels like prisons of Kessel, and defection on Correlia (for some). But in this level you only have to take out three devastators (sounds tough) but they're simple. Then you have to kill a bunch of TIE/D fighters. (not so easy) When you start you'll be over the ocean just wait a couple of seconds then boost to the location your suppose to be (use map) when you get there you'll see a huge ship thing. Now you can't hit it because of it's shields. After a while someone will say I've found the shield thing on the top (not exactly like that) now go to the top of the first devastator and you should be able to see a circle being held up by a stand shoot it down. Once its blown up you free to hit the devastator so go under it and shoot down two legs. When you use cluster missiles make sure you right close to it before you shoot (you'll miss if your not right by it) then shoot it with lasers if its not off. Now do the other one but when it comes down you better make sure your not under it or it will crush you. After you've blown up the devastator you'll have to go to the next part and blow up some TIE/D fighters there really tough so if you have to just run into them. Use a missile if you have to but its close to impossible to shoot them down with lasers `cause you cant get behind the. The move fast so you have to go faster. Once they're all gone (about 7) You'll have to kill another devastator. Use the map and boost there using special. Now when you get there do the same to this one as the last blow up the top then two legs. After you'll have to blow up another bunch of those ties. Once they're dead (it might take a while) Then you have to kill another devastator. Yet again same strategy top circle legs. Now finally you have to blow up the last set of tie/d and there's the most this time but when you're done you should be proud you're at least half way through the game (got to do the medals to) Gold Medal Completion Time: 7:00 Enemies Destroyed: 24 Accuracy: 25% Friendly Saves: 87 Bonuses Collected: 0 Help on Getting GOLD- To get a gold just save as many of the buildings as possible and kill the tie/d really fast with seeker cluster missiles. You shouldn't have any trouble. GREAT JOB if you've gotten this far you can't be half bad. (Unless you cheated of course) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7.q) Levels - Beggars Canyon ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Default Ship - T-16 Skyhopper Mission Briefing - Race through Beggars Canyon in you T-16 Skyhopper! Test your skill against Zev, Dack, or Weadge Mission Objectives - Win the Race This is the first extra level in the game. To get it you have to get a Bronze Medal on every level. Once you've gotten all of them you can now do this level. You aren't a regular ship in this level because it's just a race. Once you start you'll see that you're heading for a canyon. It's not too big but it can be pretty hard. To get the different medals you have to go the different ways and beat the people. So if you want a Gold Medal you have to go right and beat Wedge. He is actually a bit hard. When you go that way you have to make sure that you stay as low to the ground as possible. If you go out of the canyon you get called for cheating. Also don't shoot at them because you'll also get called for cheating. Once you go right you'll have to take a bunch of hard turns. As you take the turns don't hit Wedge or you'll most likely crash and burn then you're games over. If you can get to the open space in the middle you should be able to pass him then. The other two are actually easy. All you need to do is live and not cheat to win. Make sure you stay ahead of them because they probably wont even catch you as long as you hold A (boost) the whole time. Gold Medal Beat Wedge Help on Getting GOLD- Just don't cheat and keep your finger on boost and you should win. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7.r) Levels - The Death Star Trench ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Default Ship - X-Wing Mission Briefing -Travel down the Death Star trench eliminating as many laser cannons as possible. If the trench guns stop firing, you can bet the Death Star's compliment of TIE's will be In close pursuit. Continue down the trench until you reach the exhaust port area. Good luck, and may the force be with you. Mission Objectives - Chase the Imperials through the Trench Destroy the power plant at the end of the Trench This is one of my favorite levels in the game. To do this level all you have to do to beat it is close your S-foils and not crash. Just race to the end and then when you get there shoot a missile into the hole. I've never done it without the Seeker missiles so I'm not sure about it without them. If you want to get medals on the level mainly Gold try this; When you start the level if you can start a timer do it because t helps. Now try and kill at least 20 enemies. You've now got to close your S-foils and head as fast as you can. Toward the end when Wedge goes down open your S-foils then kill everything you can until you get to the blowing up part. Once you do you should have enough kills and time. (you might only get it by seconds) Gold Medal Completion Time: 2:45 Enemies Destroyed: 30 Accuracy: 70% Friendly Saves: 0 Bonuses Collected: 0 Help on Getting Gold - This can be tough so to help time yourself and go with you s-foils open until you get about 22 kills then close and don't open until Wedge goes down. From here kill everything and you should get it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7.s) Levels - Battle of Hoth ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Default Craft - Airspeeder Mission Briefing -Experience the battle of Hoth from the cockpit of your snowspeeder, as you hold off Imperial forces and help Rebel transports escape. Mission Objectives - Destroy Probe Droids Defend Rouge 10 from AT-ST Attack Defend the Generator from the imperial attack. This is the Final Level in Rouge Squadron. To beat it you don't have to do much. But to get the gold you have to move really, really fast. Once you start the level you'll be above the base. Move ahead past the 2 big ships. Now you should see some Probe Droids. Once you have killed them all, I think there's about 10, you'll get a cut-scene. After you see the cut-scene with Rouge 10 boost as fast as you can. Now kill the lead AT-ST then work your way back. There are only 3 of them. Once there dead you'll have a little time to fly. Soon you'll get another cut- scene with the shield generator. Once you do haul it over there and take out the AT- AT's. This is the hard part. You have to kill all three of them. One is on the right over the little mountain. Once there all down take out all the AT-ST's. You don't have to worry about the little troopers unless you want a medal. Once you've done that your done. Make sure you fly around it's a pretty cool level just to dodge in and out of things. Gold Medal Completion Time: 3:45 Enemies Destroyed: 29 Accuracy: 60% Friendly Saves: 0 Bonuses Collected: 0 Help on Getting GOLD- It's simple just kill all of the storm troopers and you have done it! Now your done with ROUGE SQUADRON! Now have fun with the Upgrades and special ships like the Falcon and the Interceptor. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 8.a) Special Things - Using the Tow Cable ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ok this is the hardest thing to do for some people. If you've played Shadows of the Empire then you've probably done this. If you haven't the main thing is the camera view once you hook the leg (secondary weapon) to the leg it will go o a wacky view on the side of you. I fond it easier if you have the AT-AT on the left side of my ship. Once you hook on all you have to do is stay as close to the AT-AT as you can. It's sometimes easier if you hold Brake (both) if you do you might get it done but it might not do it. If not what your have in trouble with hitting the AT-AT is If this: 1. If you're hitting the "legs" of the AT-AT is to loosen up on your turns and not turn so hard. Also you do have some slack so don't worry about going a bit away from them. (just not to far) and on the turns make sure you know what foot is moving so it doesn't come right in front of you and you smack into it. But if you're having trouble from loosing the rope try this: 2. Get in closer you can get really close without hitting it so don't worry about it. When you do get close try to do the turns harder `cause that's where most people have trouble with it you can turn the Control Stick pretty hard before it makes you smack into the back legs. Also a couple of other things are mabey you're going to high. If you do that go lower just a bit above the ground so you are wrapping around the feet and not getting shot by the AT-AT. Well those are probable the main problems with them if that doesn't help e-mail me and tell me what you think your problem is and I'll try to help. The e-mail address is at the top of the FAQ. Quick note sent in by a reader if you get close to the ground and you use your shadow to go around the AT-AT it makes it a lot easier. It does really! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 8.b) Special Things - Medals ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Medals are a big part of Rogue Squadron. To get the medals you have to do specific things: Completion Time - You must complete the level in the time given Enemies Destroyed - You must kill the amount of enemies it says Accuracy - You must get the accuracy percentage it says (it counts laser and missile fire) Friendly Saves - The amount of good or civilians that must survive Bonuses Collected - The amount of bonuses or upgrade that must be completed. The medals can be Bronze Silver or Gold. When you get a medal on every level you get a special new level. For bronze you get beggars canyon, Silver you get the Death Star trench, and for Gold you get the Hoth stage. Medals also give you your ranking like Trainee and colonel, which are much different. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 9.a) Cheats - Passcodes ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Code what it does DEADDACK Open All Levels FARMBOY Play as Millennium Falcon MAESTRO Music Menu CREDITS See the Credits CHICKEN Chicken Walker Stage (you're the walker) TOUGHGUY All Power ups and Upgrades ACE Hard Mode BLAMUS The Creators Pic KOELSCH Fly a Cadillac IGIVEUP Infinite Lives RADAR True Radar DIRECTOR Watch all cut-scenes HARDROCK New Main Screen TIEDUP Tie Interceptor (farmboy cheat has to be activated Then hold up on the Millennium Falcon) Here is a quick section for PC cheats because so meny people have `stolen' my FAQ and haven't noticed that it's for the 64 version. You don't have to use the cheat. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 10.) Upgrades ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In Rouge Squadron there are tons of upgrades and I've got all of them right here. If you don't want to find them just use the cheat TOUGHGUY Advanced Proton Torpedoes - Defection on Corellia To get the advanced Proton Torpedoes you have to play the 4th Level Defection on Correlia. On that level after you are going from the Tech center (Crix Madine is there) and your heading back to tangle with the first AT-AT stop I the city that's in the middle of the two. About In the middle of the city there is a little space go down and you'll see the upgrade in there. You'll most likely die or get badly damaged so make sure you have enough lives. Advanced Shielding - The Jade Moon To get the Advanced Shields you have to play the Jade Moon. To get them after you turn back to go blow up the shield generator go into the canyon and stay low like he says. When you come to a split I the canyon go left and follow it around you'll come to a spot, which has a 2 missile turrets and a big building. Kill the 2 turrets then the building. Inside you'll get the Advanced Shield (almost the best upgrade) Advanced Bombs - Imperial Construction Yards This one isn't to hard to find. To get them you have to go to the little base setup that is by the AT-ST Factory. It isn't the one with the TIE's waiting to be blown up. This one has a big platform in the middle with nothing on it. Also there's a missile turret up in the mountain of to the side. The upgrade is in one of the small buildings on the edge closer to the Missile Turret. There are two of them identical side by side. So blow them up and you'll see the upgrade. Seeker Missiles - Prisons of Kessel To get this one not only do you have to beat the level but also you have to find. Luckily it isn't too hard to find. To get it, when you reach the second prison of to the right of the ship, behind to the big platform, is a mountain with a missile turret and a building. Blow the turret and then the building to get the upgrade. Advanced Lasers - Battle Above Toleraan This is a great upgrade to have also. To get this one play through Battle Above Toleraan until you get to the last one. Before you go destroy the tanks make a stop in the little city. In the middle of it is the upgrade. To get it try to slow as much as possibly and then dive as hard as you can. Now grab it and then pull up without braking. You might make it. Another way is you can blow up a couple of the buildings and just fly and grab it. Seeker Proton Torpedoes - Escape From Fest This one is also easy to get. To get this one first rescue the AT-PT's to the ship. Once you have done that and blown up the generator head toward the center. Instead of blowing it up go to the right of it above the mountain. Up there is a little set up with some buildings. Blow them up and you'll grab the upgrade. Now just finish the level by blowing the center up. Advanced Bombs - Blockade on Chandrila I really wish I knew what these did. I have now clue but I know where to get them. To get them after you've gotten to Chandrila keep going straight ahead. Pass up the TIE'S you need to kill and you should come to a spot with three poles sticking from the ground. Behind them is a AT-ST kill it and the upgrade will come out of it. Seeker Proton Torpedoes - Raid On Sullest To get this one while you're at the back of the level toward all the buildings there's is a long building on the left. It's at the foot of the mountain. Blow it up and you'll get the upgrade. If you can't find it blow all the buildings around there and you would get it. Cluster Seeker Missiles - Moff Seerdons Revenge This is a very good upgrade as well. To get it there's a little set of building in a little building somewhere near the beginning of the level. There is a building, a laser turret, and a tank. In the building is the upgrade. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 11.)
