In the summer of 1998, THQ released the firt true RPG for the N64. Hey, I love nintendo and all, But to me, that's just a little pathetic for it being out for a year and a half already. Anyway…….. A lot of people really don't like quest, and yet they still make faq's for them. What losers. I like This game , otherwise I probably wouldn't be making a faq to help you out. Quest rocks. The Story Line: Celtland. It's a beautiful island like in the middle of nowhere where the spirits Of the elements of nature get along in harmony. The Eletale Book is the sacred Book kept in the Monostry. It is a book with the readings and teachings and all of That other wacked out shit about the spirits. If one opens the book and is not worthy …..well let's just say bad stuff will happen. If and evil…..person opens the book, then I'll say that all hell with break loose in all of Celtland. Well oneday, some ass hole Just walks right into the Monostry and takes the book. What the !!&* is up with That you ask? Well obviously the guards were too scared to actually protect the damn Thing. So now, A dude named Lord Bartholomyu goes after the bad guys to get the Book back. You are Brian. A young spirit tamer apprentice. Also Lord Bart's son, what a shame. Anyway, it's been a month now, and still now letter, postcard, or anything from your Dad. So you say to yourself "What's he doin? Pickin up trickers?" No that can't be it. You decide to go after your dad, the book, and to save all of Celtland from the evil Mammon. Everyone is counting on you. So don't choke. Don't worry though, you've My help on your side. With that, you simply can't lose. Let's kick some major ass baby! 2) Important Stuff Here are some things that you really need to know before starting the game. Fighting enemies: During a battle, you and some weird lookin creatures will duke it out in a turn taking war. You will have two different types of attacks. Attacking with your staff, and attacking with magic spells. If you want to attack with your staff, just run up to an enemy and wait for the staff icon to appear. Then just press the "A" of "Z" button to whip'em with your staff. attacking with your staff will take away most of you enemie's hit points(HP) away. Which is their health. Another advantage to attacking with your staff is that the more you use it, the more hit points you will get. For example. Let's say you're in the middle of a battle and your hitpoints are at 70. Well if you keep hitting your enemie with the staff, that could change to 71 or 72 maximum hit points. When you want to attack with a magic spell, you just hit the right C button and press either the A button or the Z button. C-up is Fire, C-left is Earth, C-down is Water, and C-right is Wind. The most powerful of the 4 are Earth and Water. Also if you win battles, sometimes they will give you a item or a spirit gem. Talking to people: It is very important that you talk to everyone that you meet. They will do one of four things. Talk to you for no particular reason at all, fill you in on some important info, give you battle tips for bosses or other creatures, or they will give you a usefull item. So it's important to talk to everyone you meet. Hit Points(HP): This is the amount of health you have. At the top lefthand side of the screen, you will notice something at the top that says "HP 50/50. So you ask yourself, "What the hell is that all about?" That's the amount of health you have. The number on the left side of the slash is the amount of hit points you currently have. The number on the right side is the number of hit points you can POSSIBLY have. Magic Points(MP): This is kinda like hit points only it's not health, it's the amount of magic you have. During a battle, if you use any magic spells, you'll notice that when you are done with that spell, the number on the left side of the slash goes down. Example: you're in a fight and you decide to use a magic spell to get rid of some weirdo. Well after you execute the spell, your magic points go down. That's couse you used some magic. You start off with 20 total magic points in the beginning of the game, but you can build them up by using more and more magic. Spirit Gems: As you go along in the game, look for bubbles that appear out of the ground. These are called Spirit Gems. When you happen to see bubbles, run up to them and a question mark will appear of Brian's head. Press the A or Z button and the Element menu will appear. Choose an element, fire, water, earth, or wind that you wish to power up. The higher the number on an element, the more spells you'll have under that element, and the more powerful. Rock, Water, Fire, Wind: Here's a tip. In the beginning of the game, build up your water gems to 7 To get the much needed healing spell. If I have to tell you what this does, you're an ass. After that fill Up your earth gems to 7. From then on, switch on and off of water and earth. These two elements have The best spells. All of the other ones are totally worthless. See Magic Spells section for IMPORTANT Details. I hope you get by now that you should read absoulutley everything in this faq. EVERYTHING WILL HELP YOU I GUARANTEE IT!!!!!!!! For maximum fun, read and do everthing. Thank you. Pant pant pant pant pan tpan pant pant pant pant pant pant pant pant pant Expierence: There are about 3 ways to gain expierence in this game. To build up your attack level, Use your staff and spells to kill your enemies as fast as you can. To build up your agility, avoid as many Enemy spells as you can. To build up your defense, get hit by a lot of spells. Building up your defense Is the easiest and best way to get expieience. The more damage the spell puts on you, the higher your Defense gets. And as a special bonus, you gain extra hp!!!! Isn't that awesome? Just do it until you die. You'll continue from your last save spot. It works like a charm. To gain a LOT of expierience, there is an even easier and better way to do it. All you need to do is find An enemy that has the homing arrow attack, specificly blood jells and thunder jells. For every arrow that Hits you, it counts as that many individual hits! So if you get hit by say 6 arrows in a row in one turn, it Counts as 6 hits. You get it? So you could get 6 times as much expierence in one turn and in one battle. After that one battle, you could have 10 more hp instead of just one or two!!!!!. You can go along way With this and expierement a lot. You can stay in the same battle for ever if you wanted, but you have to Have the right spells. You have to have healing lvl 2, or 1 at like 20, either confusion, or drain magic. So, you get hit a whole bunch of times. When your health is lookin a little low, use heal a whole bunch Of times to get it all back baby yeah!!! What happens when you run out of magic you ask? Just use drain Magic or confusion to get THAT all back. You can go on for ever like I said. In one hour, you can have almost 100 extra hp. Amazing huh? Oh, and your defense will be sky rocketing through the damn roof. YEAH BABY YEAH!!!!!!!!!! You should basicly use every attack that you have on bosses. Except for the ones that you know are weak. 3) Avoiding enemie spells Here are some tips on how to avoid enemy spells. Wind Cutter: This one is quite simple. Just wait for it to pass you then just run around in circles clockwise. Fire Ball: Just run left or right when they execute it. Water Piller: Run in the oppisite direction of the enemy or left or right. Rock: This may sound like suicide, but you have to run TOWARDS your enemy. You'll see how it works. Walking Water: See Fire Ball Every spell is pretty self explanitory. You'll get the jist of it. Remember, you can't avoid every single One. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HAH A. funny 4) Walkthrough (every little detail) Melrode Castle You begin in a room talking to the Grand Abbot. He tells of the dangers and begs you not to go and yada yada yada. Anyway, when you're done talkin go through the door. Run down the stairs and go through the next door. talk to the maid and she'll fill you in on some info about spirit gems. Then continue on through the other door and down the stairs. Keep going until you get to a big hallway with lots of doors on the left hand side. Only go through the first door. There is someone in there who you can talk to. Then leave the room and continue on down the hall ignoring all the other doors. When you get to the end you will see a very large door. Don't go through it just yet. Turn right to find a door that doesn't seem to have a doorknob. Go in, get the spirit gem, talk to the people, get dew drop that's in the chest. Then go through the next door, down the stairs, and get the other two dew drops for the chests. Then go back through the door. Then through the other door. Then go through the really big door. Go straight across and through the other door that looked just like the the other one. Run up to the maid and she'll give you some fresh bread. Plus there's honey bread in the chest. Then go back through the big door and out the REALLY big blue door. Talk to the guard also. Now go down the steps and onto the dirt path. Turn left and fallow the path until you get to a stable with a horse and a stack of hay. You can talk to the horse if you want to. Go over to the stack of hay. There is a spirit gem here. Get it and go back on the dirt path. This time skip the castle and keep going on the dirt path until you get to a big door. Go through it and head towards the little town of Melrode. The Town of Melrode Go into all the houses and talk to everyone. You'll learn some stuff about your dad. Save your game at the hotel and get the wings. In the hotel you will meet a person named Shannon. She will be at every hotel you go to. She will.........uhh..........sort of help you. Now go to the BIG door on the blue wall. Now it's time to kick some baddie's asses. Konnishire Road This is where you should really learn to fight. It may seem difficult at first, but you'll get the hang of it. Keep your eye open for an spirit gem on the left in the corner. You can spot it by just fallowing the path. Watch for a BIG open area with a few trees and water at the end. The spirit gem is at the end of that. Also keep your eyes open for a small cottage on the right hand side of the field. Go inside, get the spirit gem, and talk to the fortune teller(pretty hoaky if you ask me). Then continue along the path until you get to a fork in the road. Go to the right up the hill, but before entering Dandoran, make sure your hit points are around 90 or 95. It'll take some time, but you'll need it, trust me. Dondoran This city is REALLY confusing. It's pretty easy to get lost. Just try to talk to as many people as you can. You will learn of a robber that stole a presious jewel from the castle. First go to the two Taverns and talk to anyone in there. You will get fresh bread from the first one, and wings from the other. After you've done all that, go into the castle and go talk to the king. After that look for a door on the right side when you're facing the king. Go inside. There are treasure chests filled with very useful stuff to defeat the robber. Now leave the castle and the town and go back to the big field. go down the hill and turn right at the cross in the road. This path will lead you to Connor Forest. Before entering though, try to raise your attacks by maybe a point or so. So when you're ready, go in the forest. Connor Forest When you get into the forest, go left and you will come upon a little shack. Inside the shack is a spirit gem and chest with a Giant's Shoe in it. Leave the shack and fallow the path to the left. You will come upon a lot of creatures. They are sort of hard. fight as much as possible to build up your HP and MP. keep fallowing the path. When you get to a big tree that has a arch coming out of it and into the ground, look to the right, there is another spirit gem. Remember to build up your water so you can get the healing spell. Keep fallowing the path until you get to a fork in the road. It doesn't matter which way you go, both paths lead to the same place. When you reach the end you will find a blue door. Walk towards the door but don't go in yet. Turn around to find yet another spirit gem. You know the robber everyone was talking about? Yep, he's in through that big blue door. Before fighting him, make sure your HP is near 105. Again, use the defensive expierence technique that I told you about before. Try to your defense up to like 30. Solvaring Who does this guy think he is anyway? The Nature Pimp of Connor Forest? He's got like 50 dead animals All over him. After using the defense expierence thing I told you about, he's so easy, you'll laugh at Yourself for even feeling the slight bit of nervousness. His close attack is the most damaging, but if your Defense is up to 30 like I said, I'll only take off like 6 or maybe 7. His far attack takes off 3 or 4. My Suggestion is to stay close to him and hit him with your staff and water pillar for those are the two most Damaging moves that you can do to him. Use healing or any breads that you have if you actually by some Miracle have to. After you beat him (which won't take long) you get 10 extra hp. Awesome!!! Also after Beating him, get the two chests with the goodies. I think there's mint leaves and fresh bread. Yo, you just Got the Earth Orb. Connor Forest Yes, you have to go back through the forest. I know it sucks, but at least you'll gain expierence. No matter What, fight every battle. You'll get a good amount of expierence. Just retrace your steps back to the Beginning of the forest and back out to Konnishire Road. Konnishire Road Just go back to the Town of Dondoran. Use the wings if you wanna be a wussy, but otherwise just walk back. Dandoran Talk to everyone again and they'll say things like " Gee, I wonder where the robber has gone. Things sure seem to be quiet now. I guess someone deafeated him. I wonder who?" You're probably thinkin "Give me a break person" If you need fresh bread, go to the tavern and get some from the person behind the counter. If you have run completely out of dew drops, talk to the lady right next to it. She'll give you one. Then go to the castle and talk to the king. He will thank you. He also let's you keep the Earth Orb, and he tells of a room behind his throne. Look behind the king's chair to find a lighted part in the brick wall. This is a secret room with a few chests and a spirit gem. Then leave the city of Dandoran and head back to Connor Forest. Before entering though, build up some more HP and Defense. Maybe HP of about 120, and defense 35. Connor Forest This time, you're gonna go to the right and fallow the path. At the very beginning there is a spirit gem To the left. There is also another one on the left a little while after to the right between two trees. (kinda Behind the first one) Just fallow the path until you get to a huge brown gate. Get the dew drop that's in The chest, and open the door to go out to Big Field (forgot the name) This place can get confusing at times. I myself have gotten lost. Well......not lost, but found myself going in the wrong direction. So look at the map if you THINK you are goin in the wrong direction. The compass can REALLY come in handy here. Also look for spirit gems. There are quite a few. Look on the map. Head towards the ship that you see. When you get there, go into the hotel, talk to Shannon and save your game. Now go get on the ship. Talk to the captain and go inside the ship. All you gotta do is wait a minute, then come back out and you'll see that you're in a different place. While traveling on path, you will eventually see an opening to another place. There are actually only Two spirit gems on the way. See spirit gem list to find out where they are. West Carmagh Look at your map and head towards the city of Larapool. Along the way are a some spirit gems, so keep your eyes open for them. Plus the enemies along the way aren't too difficult either. It would be a good idea to get more HP and MP. Again, see Spirit Gem list to find out where every spirit gem is in the game. (That I have found anyway, which is most of them probably). Larapool When you reach Larapool, talk to everyone you find. They'll fill you in on some info about the crook who stole the Wind Jade. Get the wings from the tavern and save your game at the hotel. Look in all of the rooms of the hotel. Some of them have people you can talk to. On the top floor there is a weird lady who talks about another lady called Epona. It's not TOO important. Now leave Larapool. West Carmagh Just fallow the path that got you to Larapool. Only don't fallow the path all the way. Look on your map. The only way to get to Cull Hazard is if you go west. So when you get to the bottom of the hill which is after you leave Larapool, start heading west and you will see a big clearing. Run towards that and go over the log bridge. There are some difficult enemies here so be carefull. The path is pretty straight forward. Keep going until you get to a little cottage that's right in front of the cave. Go inside, talk to the lady and save your game. Then go into Cull Hazard(the cave). Cull Hazard There isn't much to this. There are some pretty tough enemies though. I suggest you build up a lot of magic and hit points, or just escape every battle. That's what I did the first time. There are quite a few treasure chests along the way. There's also a spirit gem which is easy to spot. At the end there is a big old green vine that you walk on and a few chests at the end. When you reach the end, you will see light. Now you're in Normoon. Normoon Pretty much the same as any town. Go into all the buildings and talk to all the people. In the two wind mill buildings, there are some chests with things like hero's drink and fresh bread. You'll be happy. Get the wings from the tavern and save your game at the hotel and talk to Shannon of course. Also, there are two spirit gems in the little yellow field. Also in one of the houses there is a woman with honey bread for you, if you don't have some already. Then go up the big hill and into Windward Forest. Windward Forest Just fallow the path and fight the creatures. Fight the creatures until your hit points are around 140 or so. That's how many I had when I beat Zelse. Along the path you find a small cottage. There are two rooms. The first room has a spirit gem in it, and the second room has a chest with fresh bread I think. Then exit the house and get the spirit gem by the tree. Don't continue on yet. There is another treasure chest behind the house with a healing potion in it. NOW continue on the path until you get to a person just standing there with white hair, and purple clothes. This is Zelse. Zelse You should have Avalanche by now, so this guy shouldn't be a problem at all. With all the expierence You have now, (or you SHOULD have) he'll be easier than Solvaring. His far attack is a bunch of white Bird things which don't take much off individually, but together, they can be damaging. Nothing serious However. My suggestion is to stay CLOSE to Zelse, not far away. His close attacks won't do much harm. Use your staff and Avalanche the most. Waterpilliar, Magnet Rock, Rock lvl. 2, and a few others. You Will probably only have to use one honey bread or fresh bread before defeating him. I used a honey bread Just to be positive that I would beat him. After you beat him, you MIGHT get a spirit gem from him, 10 More extra hp, and the Wind Jade. Piece of cake, like I said. Windward Forest Don't go back to Normoon. Continue along the path until you reach a bridge. Open up the door and cross the bridge. Go into the cottage and talk to the two guys. One guy thanks you, The other acts as if he had no idea you saved the day. Jerk!!!!!!!! Now head back to Larapool. You can either use the wings, or just go on foot. Goin on foot CAN build up your powers, but the wings are easier, I use the wings, because I just feel like being a sissy ok? Larapool Well if you got here with the wings, go get more at the tavern. Then go back to the hotel. Replace your mint leaves if you used'em from the lady next to the counter. Save at the hotel and go up to the top floor to talk to that weird lookin lady again. THIS is where she talks about Epona. Then go down to the bottom floor. You'll notice on the bottom floor there are two little staircases with doors at the bottom. Go down the one that's closest to the big stairs. Then go across and through the door. There's that funny looking lady again. She'll talk about something. When she's done, get the silver amulet from the chest. Now exit and go across again but this time down the ramp. Follow the scene path, take a left to get a Spirit gem that's by the other door down there. Then go in the oppisite direction, up the stairs, in the Blue hole to get to the blue cave. Blue Cave This place gives me the creeps. First drop down and go left through the long and painful tunnel to Find just a spirit gem, but I still think it's worth it. There's another spirit gem at the end of another Dead end, but not for the next 3 dead ends. Just keep fallowing the arrows and go in the direction that They are facing. Eventually, you will come to a maze that will make you faint. Well, when you wake Up, get back into the game and read what I have to say. In the maze, at the beginning take the middle Path, from then on, it's nothing but left turns. When you get to a straight path leading to a tunnel with An upward path, you know you're going the right way. Eventually you will get to a big room with a House and a bunch of stones. This is Epona's house. Go inside, talk to epona, then talk to that little Floating thing to save your game. Then go through the door that's behind Epona and step onto the Target like platform to be transported to the Sea Going Ship. Sea Going Ship Talk to the captain and go down into the boat. Talk to the old guy to save your game. Then go through the next door. Talk to the guy, get the spirit gem behind the big pillar thing, and get the dragon's potion from the chest. Now go back out to where the captain was. You will discover that he has taken you to the Isle of Skye. Isle of Skye When you get off the boat, run over to the right and get the spirit gem. Now run over to the house. You might be attacked so be alert. There is another spirit gem outside the fence of the house. Now run behind the house and get the spirit gem. Now go inside the house and talk to the two people and they'll fill you in on some info. The lady will give you a battle tip on how to defeat Nepty. Then leave the house and go up the island fallowing the dirt path. When you get to the top you will see a spirit gem. Don't worry, you can't get attacked up here. Then go to the middle and inbetween the four rocks coming out of the ground. This will warp you to a weird lookin blue place. Just fallow the path until you get to a blue lady who looks like a fish. This is Nepty. Actually, before fighting nepty, build up your defense, power, and hp by fighting thunder jells. Read Important Stuff section for more details. Look under A lot of Experience. Nepty If you used the thunder jell technique like I said for a long time, then your hp should be 265 or so, Defense 120 or so, etc. By now you will have magic barrier which is located in the rock element. Use It, and refresh every few turns. Use Healing when necessary, or any hp replenishing items. I never have To use either. Use magnet rock when far away, or just rock any level. When close, use avalanche, Your staff, and rolling rock. You will also have drain magic by now, so use that when you have to. Island of Skye Just fallow the skinny path until you get to the end. You will then warp back to the place with the four rocks coming out of the ground. Just fallow the dirt path and make your way back to the house. Talk to the people and they will say thanks. Now go through the next room and hop onto the platform. You are now back at the house at the Blue Cave. Blue Cave Talk to Epona and she'll fill you in on some info. Talk to the floating thing and save your game. Then exit the house and go stand between the four rock pillar things. It's a warp back to Larapool. Larapool Leave Larapool and head back to the ship that originally braught you here. Boat Talk to the captain, get in, wait a few seconds, and get out. You are now in East Limelin. East Limelin Get off the boat, and go into the house that's on your right side. Talk to the man, save your game, And head back out. Just fallow the path to get to the city of Limelin. There is a spirit gem on the Right hand side of the path about half way there. Be on the look out for that. When you get to The front gate of the city, open up the door and go inside. Limelin Go all over the city, go into all the buildings, and talk to everyone to learn of a guy named Fargo. He supposively was a murderer and had to be locked up in the tower jail, but he has recently escaped. Some of the buildings have two stories, and a few treasure chests. This is a pretty rich city as you can tell, and it's huge too. Walk towards the castle and find two little kids playing by a grass field. Talk to them and go into the grass field to find a spirit gem on the right hand side. Now head into the castle. Limelin Castle When you enter the castle, go straight and walk behind the little square pillar thing. There are two spirit gems awaiting. Talk to all of the guards that you find, and anyone else you see. Go up the stairs and through the big door. You are now in a big hallway with a bunch of doors on each side. One room has three treasure chests in it with some really good stuff to collect. Just keep fallowing the hallways and going up the stairs going into every room that you find, talking to everyone you meet. Eventually you will come to a staircase with two guards guarding the big door. Talk to them and head in through the big door. Go in and talk to the queen and the other guards. Now leave the castle. Limelin When you leave the castle courtyard, head to the left and go through the little tunnel. You will see a tower. This is where Fargo was locked up. Before you enter the tower, walk around the tower to find a spirit gem. Now go inside the tower. There are two floors. Each floor has a spirit gem in it. Now leave the tower and head back into the town towards the right to the very end. There will be a little beach type thing with a spirit gem by the fence, and yet another one over by the water. Now leave the town and head over to the mines. East Limelin Look on your map and head towards the house at the very bottom of the map. On the way there is a spirit gem. I'll tell you where it is. When you leave the town, run over towards the big volcano lookin hill/mountain. You'll see what I'm talking about. Then run behind it to find a brownish/redish path. You will see the spirit gem right away. Only you can't get it yet. You have to fallow the path until you get to a wooden arrow sign. Don't fallow the arrow, but turn to the right so you can go get that spirit gem. Now go back and fallow that arrow heading towards the house at the bottom of your map. Check your compass to make sure you are heading south, which is the direction that the house is in. When you finally get to the house, go inside and there is two spirit gems. Then leave the house and head to the left, there is ANOTHER spirit gem over by the tower which is being held up by four wooden pillars. It's easy to spot. Now turn around and head into the Baragoon tunnel. Baragoon Tunnel When you enter the cave there will be a few chests with some good stuff in them. Get those and continue along the path. The enemies in this area aren't TOO difficult. Some of them are from an old level, so it shouldn't be too hard. After a while you will come upon a big clearing with a few more chests and a spirit gem. Then go onto the REALLY long wooden bridge path which takes forever. Then go down the path that is NOT wood, and continue up all the ramp thingies. When you get to the top, turn left and get the spirit gem. Then turn around and go in the oppisite direction. The path is pretty straightforward, no forks in the road or anything. Finally you will come to a really big room. Get the spirit gem and continue on to the next path, which is really skinny. When you get the end of the path, you will see a tall woman with red hair. This is Shilf. Shilf Who's this? One of Mammon's girlfriends? Anyway, she may seem like a threat, but she's really not. When far away, use any rock attack and ice knife. Those are good. The best way to beat her (and Practically every boss) is to get close with magic barrier on, and use water pillar, avalanche, and your Staff. After a long time, she will be dead, and you will be happy, because you might get another spirit Gem, and you will definitely get 20 more hp. After beating her, continue on in the tunnel, to get to an Empty room, but don't worry, there aren't any baddies here. Get the items in the two chests, the spirit Gem, and exit through the only path which leads to a door, which leads to the Dindom Dries. Dindom Dries Exit the tunnel and run over to the little tent. Go inside, talk to the guy, save your game, and get the spirit gem that is sorta hard to see. It's in the far corner of tent. Then exit the tent. Look on your map and head towards the little, little, little town of Greenoch Village. When you get there, you will know what I mean when I say little, little, little. On your way to Greenoch, don't bother fighting any creatures. They are REALLY, REALLY difficult. I suggest you don't fight anything here. But on the other hand, it would be a great way to build up your defense. Before going to Greenoch, go to Shamwood castle for some really rewarding things. Here's how to get there. Shamwood Castle This place is supposively some secret kingdom that no one has found in over 1,000 years. So You would expect the have lots of spirit gems and treasures. Well there's a ton of each here. To get to Shamwood Castle, go out to the Dindom Dries which is after beating Shilf, and head Southeast. Eventually, you will see some messed up floating thing floating over some stone Platform thing. Go onto the platform, and you will be warped to Shamwood. This place has like 15 spirit gems, so keep your eyes open and go all over the castle. It's easier to find spirit gems in the dark. Near the top, there are like 9 or 10 chests with lots of goodies and two spirit gems. At the very top of the castle, there's a screwed up guy, with FOUR, that's right FOUR spirit gems around his thrown which has a chest with a gold amulet on it. Get all that stuff, go back to the Dindom Dries, and head towards Greenoch. Greenoch Holy SHIT!!! What the hell happened to this place. Go in the tavern, get the wings. Go into the Holtel, talk to Shannon and you'll find out what the hell happened to the damn city. (Sorry about All the profanity, I just thought I would make it a little humerous. After you save your game, head Towards the boil hole. To get there, fallow the dirt path, and no matter what, always go left. You'll Come to a bunch of rocks that you can walk on with a spirit gem on one. You may think you're stuck But you're not. Just walk around on top of the rocks. Before you enter the Boil Hole, look to your Right after getting off of the rocks to get yet another spirit gem. Boil Hole There is nothin to this. It's just one straight forward path. No forks in the road or anything. Pretty simple. Also there is a few treasure chests along the way, so be on the look out for them. Plus there's a spirit gem at the bottom of one of the path hills. You'll find it. After a long time of fighting, and getting items, you will come upon a really room with lots of valcanoes in it. Run up to the man. This is the murderer................................................... ........................................FARGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fargo Calm down, he really isn't all that hard. Just stay as far away from him as you can and he will use a harmless fire ball, but get too close, and he'll use a deadly fire forcefield which can take a lot off you. So stay away from him. To defeat him, just keep using ice knife. It takes off 45 to 60 hit points off him. So stay far away from him and use ice knife. I found that using a Giant's Shoe can really be helpful. When he dies, you get the Fire Ruby!! During your battle with Fargo, you may have noticed a treasure chest at the top of one of the valcanoes. Go get that and get the spirit gem that's across the room at the bottom. Now go back to where the chest was and exit through the tunnel that is by the chest. If you get attacked, you are going the wrong way. So go back and go through the OTHER tunnel. keep going until you reach the end. Bargoon Moor. Bargoon Moor Head over to the little house. Go inside, talk to the guy and save your game. Now go upstairs. Both rooms have lots of useful treasures in them. Plus there is a spirit gem right inbetween the two doors. So get all the good stuff and leave the house. Now go over to Baragoon Castle Town. Don't forget the other spirit gem that is somewhere on the second path outside of the little house. Brannoch Before entering the town, there are two spirit gems right outside of the doors to the town. One is RIGHT there when you go up the little ramp, and the other one is all the way on the left hand side on the blue brick path. Now enter the town. Same as usual. Talk to everyone, get the wings from the tavern, save your game at the hotel, and talk to Shannon. Then go to the end of the town(not the entrance)and open up the door. You will see a big castle. Run towards the castle taking some punches and chickening out.(Nothing wrong with that!!!!)When you get to the end, you will notice that the big front entrance to the castle is locked. No problem. Just go over to the left and go through the little crack AROUND the castle. When you get to the end, there will be a big ramp. Go up it and through the open blue door. Now fallow the green path all around the castle to get the spirit gem. Then turn around and retrace your steps. On the VERY oppisite side of the main entrance is a little blue door. Go through it and enter the castle. Brannoch Castle Fallow the hallway until you get to a blue door. Enter it. Run around the balcony until you get to another blue door. Go through it and fallow the hall until you get to a chest. Get the goods and go through the blue door directly across from the chest. Talk to the person and save your game. Get the spirit gem and all the treasure chests. Now exit the room and continue along the hall past the chest. Soon you will get to ANOTHER blue door. Yep, go through it. You are now in a very strange looking room with a bunch of hill ring thingies. Find the OTHER blue door that is in this room and continue along the hall until you get to a greenish door. Go through it. Run over to the big monster. This is Guilty. Before fighting guilty, check your compass because after you defeat Guilty, it's hard to tell which door to go through. So check your compass. Guilty This guy isn't too hard, but it ain't gonna be a walk in the park. His far away attack is the knife slasher thingy. Six knives enclose on you and slice you. It only takes away 20 or so, so don't worry. His close up attack is a hot steam spell. It takes away like 50 hit points, but if you hit him with power staff, you can take over 100 hit points off him!! Then of course he will use the hot steam, so only hit him with power staff every once in a while. Other than that use Avalanche, Ice knife is good, and lvl2 or 3 fire ball and he'll be dead in a little while. You will be awarded 10 hit points after you defeat him. Now go through the right door. If you didn't check your compass, just go through one of the doors, and if you end up going DOWN some stairs, you went through the wrong door. Brannoch Castle After you go through the RIGHT door, continue along the hallway until you get to a big room. Get the chests and continue along. Eventually you will get to a big room with Shannon and..................................................................oh look............it's yo daddy. Somethin ain't right. Talk to them and get the good stuff from the chests. Then go through the door that is nearest yo daddy. Fallow the hall until you get to a really big door. Go inside and run over towards the ugly dude in blue. This is the insane King Beigus!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAH! King Beigus This guy ain't too hard. Harder than Guilty, but not TOO much harder. Use Spirit Armor or Magic Barrier and cross over to his platform. Once you get here, stay CLOSE to him. His close up attack is a LOT less damaging than his far away attack. To kill him, use Ice Knife, Avalanche, and fireball lvl3. Use Power staff the most though. It will take away a lot off him, plus after you hit him with it, his close up attack will be no problem at all. After you beat him, go up the blue ramp that's behind his thrown. keep going through the paths and opening doors until you get to a big platform with Shannon. Talk to her and she'll give you the Eletale Book. Now go through the tunnel oppisite of the you came to get to the platform with Shannon. Mammon's World This place is screwed up completely. When you arrive, turn around and go into the castle place. Just walk around inside this place and find any door to go through, but not the one came in from. Just keep going through all the doors that you see and fallow all the paths and everything. Never, I repeat NEVER go BACK through the same door you came in. Along the way you will meet Shannon. Talk to her and continue along. Even if it looks like you're goin in the same direction or place you were before, KEEP going. Eventually you will come inside a house with Epona in it. Talk to her to save your game. When you leave the house, you will be in a messed up version of the first town in the game. Melrode. Every door in town is locked. Don't worry. What you have to do is go to the really big door that would originally lead back to the castle where you started in the game. Go up the skinny twisted up path and you will soon come to a very large purple monster. MAMMON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mammon This guy is a lot easier than you would expect. Just use Magic Barrier or Spirit Armor and Run up to the end of the path so you can whip him with your staff. Use power staff, it takes off like 100! He'll be dead sooner than you think. To avoid his attacks, hold Z and A and run towards him. Sometimes he will miss, and sometimes he will take off less than normal. Use your healing spell when needed, and any other HP replenishing items. If your magic points go down from using avalanche(I forgot to menchon............use avalanche once in a while) just use the drain magic spell to get full magic points!! Alright you did it!!!!!!!! YOU BEAT THE GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 5) Magic Spells Fire Spells Fire Ball: Throw a burning fireball towards and enemy. Raise the level to make it more powerfull.
