Holotraining ********************************************************************* The Holotraining is found on the ground floor between the two elevators, you can practice the basic technics around here. You'll be able to play 7 Holograms: - Looking Around - Movement 1 - Movement 2 - Unarmed Combat 1 - Unarmed Combat 2 - Live Combat 1 - Live Combat 2 You'll finish this on you're first day of playing because there all very simple (compared to the challenges and the solo missions). But I like to play them out as fast as i can, so i included my personnel times. If you can do it faster then email me (bs877685@skynet.be). ---------------------------------------- Hologram 1 - Looking Around ---------------------------------------- My Time: 24.98 seconds Description: - A good agent notices everything around him or her. Training Instructions: - Examine all of the objects by looking directly at them. Operation: - Look up - Press the Down C Button - Look down - Press the Up C Button - Free Look - Hold down the R button to enter Aim mode, and use the Control Stick to look. This is as simple as it can be, you just have to look for all the switches and look at them to activate them. First activate the one on the floor near the right wall, then turn around and you should see another one on the wall in front of you. Turn to your right and walk to the wall when you activated the switch, you should see one on the plafond near the wall. Walk to it and activate it, then turn around so you are facing the four switches on the wall and walk to them while your looking a little up, you should see the last switch, activate it and go to the four switches on the wall. Now just activate the four switches and your done! (The last four have to be done manually by pressing B when near them) ---------------------------------------- Hologram 2 - Movement 1 ---------------------------------------- My Time: 10.32 seconds Description: - Sidestepping and strafing can get you out of trouble. Training Instructions: - Activate all of the switches in front. Be quick, though, as each switch will reset on a time limit. Operation: - Sidestep left - Left C Button - Sidestep right - Right C Button A little harder, but still very easy. Just go to the left switch, activate it, strafe right and activate the next switch and repeat. Tip: Stand on a distance of the switches so you can easely see the switches and you don't strafe to far. ---------------------------------------- Hologram 3 - Movement 2 ---------------------------------------- My Time: 12.60 seconds Description: - Ducking and crouching can open up new areas for exploration. Training Instructions: - Work your way through the obstacles using the moves available to you. Activate the switches. Operation: - Duck - Hold the R Button, then press the Down C Button. - Crouch - When ducking, hold the R Button, then press the Down C Button. - Get up - Tap the R Button When you start, first activate the switch on the left wall by ducking and going under the laser that is a little higher than the others. Then activate the other one the same way, only now you have to crouch to get under the laser. ---------------------------------------- Hologram 4 - Unarmed Combat 1 ---------------------------------------- My Time: 07.98 seconds Description: - Fighting multiple opponents in hand-to-hand combat can be difficult. Training Instructions: - Knock out all enemies without getting hit. Operation: - Punch - Press the Z Button repeatedly when unarmed to launch a flurry of punches. This is even easier than the 3 first holograms together! The first guard just stands there doing nothing, so hit him! The second runs around, so hit him! And the third fights back, just hit him in the back and your done. ---------------------------------------- Hologram 5 - Unarmed Combat 2 ---------------------------------------- My Time: 37.20 seconds Description: - Disarming an enemy can get you a new weapon. Training Instructions: - Knock out/disarm all enemies without getting hit. Operation: - Disarm - Hold the B Button then press the Z Button to disarm an enemy. - Knockout Punch - Punch an unaware enemy from behind. The first guard is the same as the second guard in the previous training, only now you have to disarm him instead of punching him. The second is a little harder, you have to hit him in the back to kill him, i always run to one of the corners of the wall with the door, run forward between the two walls and normally the guard would be walking to the other side and you can hit him in the back to kill him. The last guard has a gun, i always run for cover behind the wall, and when he's done shooting i run straight at him and hit him. ---------------------------------------- Hologram 6 - Live Combat 1 ---------------------------------------- My Time: 08.30 seconds Description: - Fighting multiple opponents in hand-to-hand combat. Training Instructions: - Beat all the unarmed enemies without getting hit. Very easy, there are four guards that you have to hit, one in each corner. I always let them come to me and then just hit them in the face. ---------------------------------------- Hologram 7 - Live Combat 2 ---------------------------------------- My Time: 32.48 seconds Description: - Fighting multiple opponents, both armed and unarmed. Training Instructions: - Beat all the armed enemies without getting hit. This is the hardest of all trainings, there are five guards. When you start, run for cover behind the wall to the left and hit the two guards that come. Then i show me a second to the guard on the left, he will fire one shot, then quickly run to him, disarm him and run back behind the wall. The other two guards should be easy, just shoot them with your gun. ********************************************************************* 5. Device Training ********************************************************************* The Device training is located on the upper floor, you can test all the gadgets in this room with a single objective for each of them. If you wan't to know what you're gonna use in the game, then i suggest going to this room first. You will be able to test the following devices: - Data Uplink - ECM Mine - CamSpy - Night Vision - Door Decoder - R- Tracker - IR Scanner - X-Ray Scanner - Disguise - Cloaking Device Ther are more devices in the game but there just variations on this ones: BombSpy, DrugSpy, Suitcase. ---------------------------------------- Device 1: Data Uplink ---------------------------------------- My Time: 15.18 seconds Description: - Provides a link from the field agent to the Institute hackers back at HQ, who can then download data or crack electronic locks remotely. Training Instructions: - Use the Data Uplink to hack the terminal in the terminal in the corner, unlocking a secret door. Operation: - Stand next to the terminal and press the B Button when holding Data Uplink. Every training will start with the same thing: collecting the device from the table in the righthand corner of the room. Collect it, Take out the Data Uplink, go to the computer in the lefthand corner and press Z to see the message "Connection established...", then after some seconds "Terminal has been succesfully hacked" and your done! ---------------------------------------- Device 2: ECM Mine ---------------------------------------- My Time: 12.86 seconds Description: - Emits a constantly shifting signal designed to jam any electronic communications device. Must be placed on the object to be effective. Training Instructions: - Throw the ECM Mine onto the lighting hub located through the secret door. Operation: - Press the Z Button to throw the mine. Hold down the R Button and move the Control Stick to fine-tune your aim before throwing. Collect the ECM Mine and go into the secret door (the wall that opens when you collect your device), walk to the end of the hall and turn right. You should see the lightning hub in front of you, take out the ECM Mine and throw it on it. Training complete! ---------------------------------------- Device 3: CamSpy ---------------------------------------- My Time: 15.52 seconds Description: - A Tiny remote camera for stealthy exploration. Equipped for spectroscopic holography. Opens doors by projecting a human-sized pulse of heat. Training Instructions: - Holograph the hacker's terminal next door in the Info room. Operation: - Press the Z Button to take a holograph. Pressing the B Button will open any doors in the way. Hold down the R Button to look around. Collect the CamSpy from the table. Stand directly in front of the secret door and take out your CamSpy. Continue down the hall and take a left. Enter the shaft and continue straight on until you come to a red door, open it and you should be in the Info room. Holograph the computers in this room and you finished it. ---------------------------------------- Device 4: Night Vision ---------------------------------------- My Time: 11.46 seconds Description: - Enhances any visible light to produce an image of the surrounding area. Also highlights life forms. Overloads in normal light conditions, 'whiting out' the display. Training Instructions: - Head into the darkness, find the light switch, and activate it to turn the lights back on. Operation: - Select the Night Vision from your inventory to activate it. Reselect to deactivate. Collect the Night Vision from the table and enter the secret door. continue down the hall and turn left. Don't enter the shafts, put your Night Vision on and enter the dark hallway until you come to a room, activate the switch on the right wall to end the training. ---------------------------------------- Device 5: Door Decoder ---------------------------------------- My Time: 14.82 seconds Description: - Stand-alone code-breaking device. Attaches to the control panel and sifts through the possible combinations until the lock is opened. Training Instructions: - Find the pad by the locked door and use the Door Decoder on it to unlock the door. Operation: - Stand next to the door pad and press the B Button while holding the Door Decoder to use it. Collect the Door Decoder and go through the secret door. At the end of the hallway, turn right. Emediately turn left and put your Door Decoder on the door pad, wait a few seconds and the training is over. ---------------------------------------- Device 6: R-Tracker ---------------------------------------- My Time: 30.66 seconds Description: - Locates a particular object on a HUD radar map. Shows the relative bearing and distance. Training Instructions: - Activate the Tracker and follow the radar signature to retrieve the item. Operation: - Selecting the Tracker from your inventory will activate it. Reselect to deactivate. Collect and activate the R-Tracker. Go to the door that you opened with the Door Decoder in the previous training and take the second hallway to the left. At the end of the Hallway you will find the IR Scanner and the training will be complete. ---------------------------------------- Device 7: IR Scanner ---------------------------------------- My Time: 16.70 seconds Description: - Translates thermal data into visible images. Can be used in darkness and will also reveal anomalies such as hidden doors and weak wall sections. Training Instructions: - Turning on the IR Scanner, find the hidden door and open it. Operation: - Select the IR Scanner from your inventory to activate it. Reselect to deactivate. Collect the IR Scanner and enter the secret door. Go through the door that you unlocked with the Door Decoder and take the first hallway to the left. Put on your IR Scanner and you should see a lighter part in the wall, press B when in front of it and the hidden door will open. ---------------------------------------- Device 8: X-Ray Scanner ---------------------------------------- My Time: 26.02 seconds Description: - Used to look through otherwise solid walls and objects. Can see things that the Night Vision and the IR Scanner cannot. Training Instructions: - With the X-Ray Scanner on, search for the two hidden switches and activate them to turn off the laser grid. Operation: - Select the X-Ray Scanner from you inventory to activate it. Reselect to deactivate. Collect the X-Ray Scanner and go through the hidden door that you opened in the previous training (through secret door, right, left, through previously locked door, left, the door will open if you're near it). Continue until you come to a little chamber, put you're X-Ray Scanner on and look to the left and right wall, you will see two laser pads, deactivate them and the training is finished. ---------------------------------------- Device 9: Disguise ---------------------------------------- My Time: 28.88 seconds Description: - Allay suspicion by the use of a disguise. but, always be alert for the possibility of being unmasked by a quick-witted enemy. Training Instructions: - Grimshaw has a Cloaking Device waiting to be serviced. Head next door and 'acquire' it from him. Operation: - To wear the disguise, simply select it from your inventory. Collect the disguise from the table and head through the secret door. at the end of the hallway, turn left and enter the shaft. Continue until you come to a red door, put your disguise on and head through the door. Go to the freak in the middle of the room and he will give you the Cloaking Device. Training Finished! ---------------------------------------- Device 10: Cloaking Device ---------------------------------------- My Time: 42.44 seconds Description: - Disrupts the visible spectrum of light around the wearer, creating an almost perfect chameleonlike effect. This field is disrupted when the wearer fires. Training Instructions: - Activate the Cloaking Device and head to Carrington's office to surprise him! Operation - Selecting the Cloaking Device from your inventory will activate it. Reselect to deactivate. Collect the Cloaking Device from the table and head through the secret door. Go to were you had to switch the laser grid of with the X-Ray Scanner. When there, activate your Cloaking Device and continue forward until you come to Carrington's room, deactivate your Cloaking Device in front of Carrington and you will have completed the Device Training! ********************************************************************* 6. Firing Range ********************************************************************* The Firing Range is one of the coolest and funniest things in the game. You can mess around with the weapons, try to get gold for the weapons and win new cheats (Classic Weapons for Jo in Solo). The Training always exists out of tree difficulities: bronze, silver and gold. Obviously, the gold is harder than the silver and the silver is harder than the bronze. You always need to get a certain number of points in a certain time limit to get the award, sometimes you also have to take care of accuracy and ammo to. With every difficulity of every weapon there's a picture of how the targets move and were they are (Thanks to MetroidMoo for all of them). When you find a new weapon in the game i suggest you go and try it out on the firing range to get familiar with the weapon before playing further in the solo missions. ---------------------------------------- Falcon 2 ---------------------------------------- The Falcon 2 is a very accurate handgun, so any error in this test is your own. The secondary mode is a pistol-whip and is, therefore, useless in a firing range. Bronze ------ Goal Score: 120 Time Limit: 2m 0s Difficulty: 0/10 1 2 3 Even your parents could do this! you have two minutes to get twelve bull's-eyes. Pick one of the three targets, aim and shoot a full clip in the bull's-eye, the target should be destroyed. Pick another and shoot another four bullets in the bull's-eye. Silver ------ Goal Score: 80 Time Limit: 15s Difficulty: 2/10 <-> 1 Now the targets move, when the target turns around and moves, quickly shoot a clip in it and the target should be destroyed, do the same with the other target, and when that one is done shoot a few last shots in the third target to finish this training of. Gold ---- Goal Score: 170 Time Limit: 10s Ammo Limit: 24 Difficulty: 4/10 - - - 2 | | 3 - | | | | | - 1 Go stand on the right and point your sight at the bull's-eye of the target in front of you, you should be able to destroy it before it turns to the left. I usually let the second target pass and shoot the third target to dust when it's going away from you. Then quickly turn and shoot and shoot at the target before the time runs out. ---------------------------------------- Falcon 2 (silencer) ---------------------------------------- The silenced version of the Falcon 2 is an excellent stealth weapon, designed to give you the advantage of surprise over your opponents. Test your accuracy to ensure you never waste your chances. Bronze ------ Goal Score: 120 Time Score: 2m 0s Difficulty: 0/10 1 Strafe to the left so you are right in front of the first target and aim for the bull's-eye. When it turns, shoot it as fast as you can to destroy it before it turn's back around. Then strafe to the right until your in front of the computer and aim for the next target. When it turns, shoot four bull's-eyes and it's done. Silver ------ Goal Score: 30 Goal Targets: 9 Time Limit: 2m 0s Difficulty: 0/10 7 8 9 4 5 6 1 2 3 Go to the left, and when the targets turn quickly fire tree bullets, you should have destroyed the three targets. Strafe a little to the right and do the same, reload, and hit the last three targets to finish this training. Gold ---- Goal Score: 80 Goal Targets: 3 Time Limit: 30s Difficulty: 3/10 <-> 3 <-> 2 <-> 1 A little harder than Silver, but still very easy, stand in front of the computer and look to the right, don't use your aim. When the targets move to the left quickly follow them and shoot, if your lucky, you will have some bull's-eyes. Do the same when they go to the right and after that the first target should be destroyed. Do the same with the other targets. ---------------------------------------- Falcon 2 (scope) ---------------------------------------- To make better use of the accuracy of the Falcon 2, a scope has been attached to the pistol. As with the unmodified Falcon 2, the pistol-whip secondary mode is useless during the firing range test. Bronze ------ Goal Score: 120 Time Limit: 2m 0s Difficulty: not even 0/10 1 The target will be to your left so strafe a little to the left so your right in front of it. Aim for the bull's-eye and begin shooting at the target. Silver ------ Goal Score: 120 Min Accuracy: 80% Time Limit: 2m 0s Difficulty: 3/10 1- - - | | | | - - - You now have to get 80% accuracy so be carefull where you shoot! Don't shoot when the target is coming towards you, instead wait until the target goes to the left, it will go very slow and you should be able to shoot it easely. You have enough time so you don't have to shoot when you see you won't hit it, with that the training should be easely completed. Gold ---- Goal Score: 80 Time Limit: 10s Ammo Limit: 8 Difficulty: 5/10 1 <-> You only have 8 bullets and you have to score 80 points, that are 8 bull's-eyes so all your shots must be in the middle. When the training starts you should be able to shoot one in the middle before it begins moving. When it moves, strafe to the same side so your always in front of it. When the target stops, quickly aim and fire as fast as you can. you'll have just enough time to get 80 points before the target begins moving again. ---------------------------------------- MagSec 4 ---------------------------------------- The MagSec 4 has excellent shot power at the cost of accuracy, especially when used in the 3-round burst secondary mode. The only serious drawback to the weapon is a limited magazine size. Bronze ------ Goal Score: 135 Time Limit: 2m 0s Difficulty: 1/10 1 Put the weapon on 3-round burst and strafe to the left until your in front of the target. Aim for the middle and shoot three times and the target should be destroyed. Go in front of the computer and do the same thing with the second target, the training should be over. If not, shoot a couple of times at the third target and the training should be done. Silver ------ Goal Score: 135 Time Limit: 2m 0s Ammo Limit: 18 Difficulty: 4/10 5 6 7 2 3 4 1 <-> Again, you have all the time you wan't so don't hurry and miss. You have to get at least 10 bull'-eyes so be carefull where you shoot and make sure your pistol is on the single shot mode. Pick one of the sides and aim for the middle but make sure you can always see the moving target. When the targets turn and the moving one isn't in your way fire one shot of if your quick two, but no more! Only one shot remaining to destroy the first target so don't fire more than once. When the target is destroyed, go for the ones on the other side and do the same until their destroyed. The middle ones are a little harder because the moving target is almost always in front of them. It will be a little easier when you go stand on the sides. You don't have to destroy the targets to finish the training so only a few shots will be enough to complete this training. Gold ---- Goal Score: 80 Goal Targets: 4 Time Limit: 12s Difficulty: 2/10 3- - -4 | | | | 1- - -2 Not that hard, really. Just stand on the left side and make sure your aiming at the bull's-eye, when the targets start moving, just shoot as much as you can and this should be done in no time. ---------------------------------------- Mauler ---------------------------------------- This is a typical Skedar weapon, brutal and powerful. By sacrificing some of the magazine, the shot can be charged up to give a devastating blast. The large ammo capacity is a bonus. Bronze ------ Goal Score: 200 Time Limit: 2m 0s Difficulty: 1/10 1 Don't use the charge-up, just use the single shot mode and shoot at the target, it's hard to shoot bull's-eyes with this weapon so just shoot the target werever you want, you have enough ammo and time. Silver ------ Goal Targets: 8 Time Limit: 2m 0s Ammo Limit: 50 Difficulty: 1/10 6 7 8 4 5 1 2 3 Use the charge-up shots and only fire when it is fully charged up, shoot when your sure you will hit a target because you haven't got that much ammo. Gold ---- Goal Targets: 6 Time Limit: 15s Ammo Limit: 35 Difficulty: 6/10 4 5 6 1 2 3 There are 6 targets, start of with the ones on the left, charge-up your Mauler and shoot the first target and let your Mauler charge-up again. Shoot at the target behind the first to destroy it. You should have enough ammo for a last charge-up, shoot the middle target and quickly shoot the target behind it with the remaining ammo before it turns again. Reload and let your Mauler charge-up for the right target (NOT the middle target) and shoot it, do the same for the one behind it but then quickly shoot at the last target as fast as you can, if your lucky the target will be destroyed and the training will be done. ---------------------------------------- Phoenix ---------------------------------------- This versatile pistol gives two different delivery system for the rounds it fires: a standard shot or an explosive round. Maian engineers managed to do this without compromising the energy usage of the weapon, though the fire rate is reduced. Bronze ------ Goal Score: 90 Time Limit: 2m 0s Difficulty: 0/10 2- - - | | | | - - -1 Put your weapon on single shot and quickly shoot at the front target when it appears, to easely hit some bull's-eyes, strafe to the right until your in front of it. When the target moves, wait until it stops and shoot it again, when it's destroyed, do the same with the new target and you should easely finish it. Silver ------ Goal Targets: 8 Time Limit: 2m 0s Ammo Limit: 18 Difficulty: 3/10 <-> 3 <-> 2 <-> 1 Simple, put your Phoenix on it's secondary function, stand in front of the terminal and shoot at a target when it passes and it will be destroyed in seconds. Do it to 8 targets and your finished. Gold ---- Goal Targets: 6 Time Limit: 20s Ammo Limit: 3 Difficulty: 5/10 5 <-> 6 3 <-> 4 1 <-> 2 Stand in fron of the terminal and look in front of you. A six-round magazine means that you must always be alert in a firefight. The weight of the handgun can be useful if you have to clup someone with it. Bronze ------ Goal Score: 90 Time Limit: 2m 0s Difficulty: 1/10 1 Stand in front of the target, aim for the bull's-eye and shoot when the target turns. The first target should be destroyed when you have 60 points and when you have to reload. Then only 30 points left on the second target. Silver ------ Goal Score: 80 Time Limit: 2m 0s Ammo Limit: 3 Difficulty: 3/10 7 8 9 4 5 6 1 2 3 Go stand in front of a target, shoot straight into the bull's-eye because you have to hit the middle of the targets behind it to, you can only afford to miss one bull's-eye or the training will be failed. Do the same with the other six targets and when your a good aimer, you should finish this one very easely. Gold ---- Goal Score: 50 Time Limit: 12s Ammo Limit: 5 Difficulty: 4/10 7 8 9 4 5 6 1 2 3 Pick one of the 3 targets and go stand in front it. When it turns, shoot in the middle and you will destroy the three targets. When you shot in the bull's-eye, you'll have 30 points. For the second turn, shoot when the first target is just about to turn around so you can't hit it anymore. The next three targets will be destroyed and you'll have finished the training. ---------------------------------------- DY357-LX ---------------------------------------- Trent Easton is always looking for that extra edge, and this gun is no exception. The bullets are as special as the rest of the gun; they are designed to shatter inside opponents to take them down quickly. Bronze ------ Goal Score: 90 Time Limit: 2m 0s Difficulty: 2/10 1- - - | | | | - - - Just shoot when the target stands still, moves toward you or moves away from you. It shouldn't be that hard. Silver ------ Goal Score: 200 Time Limit: 30s Difficulty: 3/10 <-> 3 1 <-> 2 Stand in front of the two targets on the right and fire your gun once. Then just fire your gun twice when a target stops in front of you, and when you reload, fire only one shot. The training should be easy when you follow this instructions. Gold ---- Goal Score: 100 Time Limit: 50s Ammo Limit: 12 Difficulty: 5/10 <-> 1 Stand in front of the terminal and shoot when the target passes you. To hit a bull's-eye, shoot when your aim is in zone 1. It takes a while before the gun actually fires, so you should hit the bull's-eye instead of zone 1. ---------------------------------------- CMP150 ---------------------------------------- A reliable and effective submachine gun, it is not difficult to see why this is the best-selling dataDyne weapon of the past two years even if the secondary mode is not taken into account. The target designate and lock-on system is excellent, and you should familiarize yourself with the complete operation of the weapon. Bronze ------ Goal Score: 240 Time Limit: 2m 0s Difficulty: 0/10 1 2 3 Put the weapon to on the lock-on mode and lock on on one of the targets, now you don't have to aim and just have to shoot when the targets turn around. Silver ------ Goal Targets: 4 Time Limit: 2m 0s Ammo Limit: 80 Difficulty: 2/10 3- - -4 | | | | 1- - -2 Use the rapid fire function for this one, just shoot when the targets stand still and when you hit the targets, you should have just enough ammo to win this training. Gold ---- Goal Score: 350 Goal Targets: 6 Time Limit: 20s Difficulty: 4/10 3- - - | | | | 1- - -2 Stand on the left side and shoot at the targets when their moving towards you. It is very important that you hit bull's-eyes or you won't reach the Goal Score. ---------------------------------------- Cyclone ---------------------------------------- The Cyclone submachine gun was specifically designed NOT to be accurate, though it is worth your time practicing. It can put a lot of bullets out in a short time, however, and is an excellent suppression weapon because of it. Silver ------ Goal Targets: 5 Time Limit: 20s Difficulty: 2/10 1 2 First shoot at the middle one until it's destroyed, then shoot at the left one that has appeared. After that one, there will be two targets left, just keep on shooting at them, even if there is one destroyed, you will hit the other one. Now there is only one left in the middle, destroy it. Gold ---- Goal Score: 400 Goal Targets: 1 Time Limit: 18s Difficulty: 2/10 2 1 <-> 3 Stand in front of the farthest target and start shooting at it. There will be two targets that keep moving in front of it, but just shoot and you will destroy both the targets and you'll get the final points from shooting at the one left. ---------------------------------------- Callisto NTG ---------------------------------------- Maian flexibility in design has produced this submachine gun with an interesting secondary mode - a high-velocity bullet that can penetrate objects easily. The fire rate, as with the Phoenix, is reduced during the secondary mode; this is to prevent damage to the firing mechanism and barrel. Bronze ------ Goal Score: 480 Time Limit: 2m 0s Difficulty: 0/10 4 5 6 1 2 3 The same as the bronze for the Cyclone, just shoot the targets until you have enough points. Stand against the right wall or the door on the left and when the target stops on your side, shoot it with it's rapid fire function. Gold ---- Goal Score: 250 Goal Targets: 2 Time Limit: 20s Difficulty: 1/10 6 7 8 4 5 1 2 3 Concentrate on one of the front targets and shoot at it until it's dust, then chose another target and destroy it. that isn't so hard, is it? ---------------------------------------- RC-P120 ---------------------------------------- The RC-P120 fires a special mineral bullet that, coupled with a high fire rate and a huge magazine, makes this a perfect tool to be used against the Skedar, should the need arise. The bullets can be used to fuel a prototype Cloaking Device - the training has been altered to reflect this particular characteristic. Bronze ------ Goal Score: 1000 Time Limit: 2m 0s Difficulty: 0/10 1 1000 points may seem much but this baby uses it's entire clip of 120 bullets in a matter of seconds. Another training were the targets don't do anything you can easely aim before you shoot. You should around now know what you have to do. Silver ------ Goal Score: 300 Time Limit: 20s Difficulty: 1/10 1 2 3 Cloak for a few seconds and the targets will turn your way, quickly shoot them before they turn again. Do this as many times needed to complete your training. Gold ---- Goal Targets: 9 Time Limit: 20s Ammo Limit: 180 Difficulty: 1/10 7 8 9 4 5 6 1 2 3 The same as the last training, only the targets just need one hit to destroy and there are now another six targets behind the first three. Cloak to make the targets turn, destroy them before they turn again. The last six targets don't do anything, you only have to shoot them. ---------------------------------------- Laptop Gun ---------------------------------------- Not only can the gun fold up to resemble a laptop PC, but it can be deployed as a sentry gun in secondary mode to cover an escape route or protect a location. Gold ---- Goal Score: 750 Goal Targets: 2 Time Limit: 15s Ammo Limit: 250 Difficulty: 2/10 3- - - | | | | 1- - -2 Stand in front of the right target and shoot right in front of you, most of the time there will be a target in front of you. ---------------------------------------- Dragon ---------------------------------------- This is the model that dataDyne successfully submitted to the U.S. military, though it has yet to be widely adopted. In keeping with the tendency of dataDyne to give people nasty surprises, the basic model assault rifle carries a proximity mine below the barrel. Using the secondary mode rather obviously means you have to throw the weapon away. Bronze ------ Goal Score: 450 Time Limit: 2m 0s Difficulty: 1/10 1 2 3 Shoot the targets when they turn around, until you have enough points, I usually shoot at the right target and when it's destroyed at the one that is behind it. Silver ------ Goal Targets: 1 Time Limit: 10s Ammo Limit: 1 Difficulty: 0/10 1 Throw the weapon in front of the target before it starts moving, the proximity should destroy it when it goes away from you. Gold ---- Goal Score: 500 Min Accuracy: 90% Time Limit: 15s Difficulty: 5/10 3 4 5 1 <-> 2 I usually stand in front of the left target and shoot whenever I can hit a target, try to hit bull's-eyes on the far left target and just shoot at the two in front of you, you should get just enough time to have 500 points. ---------------------------------------- K7 Avenger ---------------------------------------- As far as we can ascertain, the secondary mode of the weapon seems to be a threat identifier, targetting mines, hidden explosive devices (such as the Dragon in secondary mode), and automatic guns. Though a powerfull gun, the assault rifle's magazine is perhaps too small. Bronze ------ Goal Score: 375 Time Limit: 2m 0s Difficulty: 0/10 1 Shoot target, target destroyed, advance to next target, shoot target ... until you have enough points. Silver ------ Goal Targets: 4 Time Limit: 2m 0s Ammo Limit: 4 Difficulty: 2/10 4 5 6 1 2 Use the secondary function of the weapon (threath detector), some targets will now have a red frame, only shoot these targets, they have a bomb on them that will explode when you shoot it. First shoot the left target, then the middle one and you will also hit the target that appears right in front of you. Gold ---- Goal Targets: 3 Time Limit: 15s Ammo Limit: 30 Difficulty: 6/10 1 2 3 You can't miss a single shot or you can start over, each target needs 10 shots to be destroyed. Wils't the countdown, fire one shot at the middle target. The target in the middle will turn first, so shoot another 9 bullets in it to destroy it, then the two others will turn, destroy the left one, now reload, if you have another ten bullets left you'll just have to shoot the last target to destroy it, if you haven't got ten bullets left, you'll have to start over. ---------------------------------------- AR34 ---------------------------------------- The Institute's first attempt at a support weapon, the AR34 is a fairly basic assault rifle. The secondary mode is a permanent zoom. Testing is weighted towards accuracy training. Bronze ------ Goal Score: 450 Time Limit: 2m 0s Difficulty: 0/10 2 3 1 Shoot at the targets until you have enough points, I usually start with the middle target and after that one the left target. Gold ---- Goal Score: 500 Min Accuracy: 100% Time Limit: 20s Difficulty: 6/10 1 <-> stand in front of the terminal and aim for the target, when it stands still you can shoot as much bullets as you want, but when it moves only shoot 1 bullet at the time because you have a very high chance that you'll miss the target when you shoot you're entire clip out wile its moving. ---------------------------------------- SuperDragon ---------------------------------------- The heavier variant of the Dragon, with the proximity mine removed and replaced by a small grenade launcher. Adopted by the U.S. military as a squad heavy support weapon - it is not hard to see why. Use the tests to get used to the grenade trajectory. Bronze ------ Goal Score: 450 Time Limit: 2m 0s Difficulty: 0/10 <-> 1 Shoot until you have enough points. Silver ------ Goal Targets: 9 Time Limit: 2m 0s Ammo Limit: 9/9 Difficulty: 2/10 7 8 9 4 5 6 1 2 3 Switch to the secondary function and aim for the middle targets, when you hit them, the two targets next to it will also be destroyd. Gold ---- Goal Targets: 5 Time Limit: 30s Ammo Limit: 60/4 Difficulty: 4/10 3- - -4 | 5 | 1- - -2 First shoot at the non-moving target with the rapid fire function. When it's destroyd, change to the grenade launcher function and use one shot for every target, it's very hard to hit the other two so i suggest that you practice a little on the silver difficulty to get used to the grenade launcher. ---------------------------------------- Shotgun ---------------------------------------- Subtlety is not an option here. There are two modes, single or double blast. The magazine is quite large for a shotgun, but be aware of the long reload times and plan your movements accordingly. Bronze ------ Goal Score: 240 Time Limit: 2m 0s Difficulty: 0/10 1 Put your shotgun on double blast and fire once at each target, after three targets you should have enough points. Silver ------ Goal Targets: 9 Time Limit: 30s Difficulty: <-> 3 <-> 2 <-> 1 Use the secondary function, stand in front of the terminal and fire when a target passes by, you'll (almost) always hit another target that is behind it. Gold ---- Goal Score: 170 Time Limit: 20s Ammo Limit: 30 Difficulty: 3/10 <-> 1 Still on double blast, stand in front of the terminal and shoot when the target passes by. When you hit the target with both your blasts, you'll be done with 3 shots. ---------------------------------------- Reaper ---------------------------------------- Try to control this weapon as best you can. It was designed for a far stronger user than a human, that much is certain. Kneeling down may help steady your aim, but not refine it. If any opponents do make it past the hail of fire, then the barrels can be used as a grinder to inflict damage. Bronze ------ Goal Score: 1000 Time Limit: 2m os Difficulty: 0/10 1 2 3 This weapon has a clip of 200 bullets and still you have to reload every 30 seconds!!! Just shoot at the targets. Silver ------ Goal Targets: 18 Time Limit: 30s Difficulty: 1/10 3 2 1 Crouch to make your accuracy better and keep on shooting until all targets are destroyd. Gold ---- Goal Score: 750 Goal Targets: 1 Time Limit: 30s Difficulty: 5/10 3- - - | | | | 1- - -2 Stand in front of the right target (nr. 2) and hold the trigger down, there will be most of the time a target in front of you, when theres two targets in front of you, shoot at the one with the most bulletholes in it because also you have to destroy one target. Glitches ********************************************************************* Here I will put the glitches that I discovered or that you sent in for Carrington Institute. ---------------------------------------- Throw knives at people ---------------------------------------- Go in the glass door of the Firing Range and block the door so it cannot close. then press start and select combat knives. now you can throw them at the people outside. be careful not to get to far away from the door or you're knives will vanish. submitted by PerfectPat (JLynch1210@aol.com) ---------------------------------------- Hurt all the CI people on top floor ---------------------------------------- Go down the hangar of the carrington institute. Get the hovercrate and go back to the main floor. Now go to the firing range and use the hovercrate to block the door so it can't close. Go to combat knife training (bronze) and stick as many knives into it as you want. Abort the training. Take the hovercrate to the information room. Leave the crate there and go back to the firing range. Pick Farsight XR-20 (bronze) and use the Railgun Effect sight to find the crate. (Should be on the floor above you, to the right) Shoot the crate so it explodes. Now go to the Device Training Room and start any training. Go to the info lab and you will see the knives you throw on the crate are on the floor. Pick some up and you can now stick them in any of the people on the top floor. (people in the device training room, info lab, and Carrington himself) submitted by PerfectPat (JLynch1210@aol.com) ---------------------------------------- Get the cheese in CI ---------------------------------------- this isn't a true glitch, but is still fun. take the hover crate and use it to block the firing range door. use the slayer to shoo a fly-by-wire missile through the blocked door. go to the right, down the hangar, to the right again (near the hoverbike) and go up. you should see the entrance door to the Institute. if you are looking at the door from the outside, go up and to the left. you will see a gap in the wall. going through it will reveal the cheese that is hidden in this level. submitted by BlackDth@aol.com ---------------------------------------- Hologram 7 easier ---------------------------------------- I have found a glitch that makes this _MUCH_ easier. When you start, immediately run to the first guard and disarm him, you will pick up his gun, the next step will determine whether or not the trick will work, you have to time it just right so that you start to pull out the Falcon 2 a split second before the screen goes to the message telling you that you failed, then press right on the joystick, and press A. If you did it right, the Falcon 2 that you started to pull out in the last match, will be automatically equipped when you start this round, making it a lot easier to defeat the 3 armed guards.
