This game is underestimated. I have seen reviews for this game that were given 4/10s, 2 stars out of 5 stars. I find this game fun because not only is a car game but you can collect and steal parts from the losing cars that finished 4,5, or 6 in a race. Class A is available after completing every race in the top 3 in class B. This class is the first challenge. With practice, it is a walk in the park. When you get to the first fountain, there will be a metal guardrail. Right after that ends, turn towards the fountain and you will see the first speed zone. After you pass the second fountain and go down a long straightway after it, the road will turn and on the outside of the turn there is the second speed zone in the dirt. Track Info: Weather Sunny Road Type On Road Track Level Easy (really) Personal Records Best Lap 00'21"17 (Racer11) Best Time 01'05"62 (Racer11) (Got your own race records you want posted in the reader's records section, send me an email at nelly260@hotmail.com.) Lakeside- A lakeside track, (hence the name), where its raining, so aqua tires are recommended. It features a turn right on the lake where if you get bumped going into it, your probably going into the drink; two tunnels and two speed zones. After you go through the first tunnel, you will come out and see a spotlight on the side of the road. Cut this towards the building and then you will see another spotlight after that. The first speed zone is right in line with the spotlight on the other side in the grass. I do not usually go for this one because of its location and it is difficulty making it work. I usually cut the corner on the other side of the spotlight like the one before it. Then you will go through another tunnel. There will be a right turn. After you first turn you will see where the fence stops and right next to the fence after that turn is the second speed zone. Track Info: Weather Raining Road Type On Road Track Level Normal (harder than Harbor) My Personal Records Best Lap 00'26"93 (Racer 11) Best Time 01'31"66 (Racer11) (Got your own race records you want posted in the reader's records section, send me an email at nelly260@hotmail.com.) Harbor- My favorite "On Road" track, it winds it is way through a harbor, through a small village, through a tunnel and over a bridge. It has four speed zones. The first one is located right after you start you go over a tiny bridge and make a left turn. The speed zone is right next to the building on your left right after you turn. I usually to a 90 degree barrel roll and time it so I go straight right on the edge of the building. (See example) After you go by a house on a sharp, sharp corner on the other side of the track right before the grass ends, there is a speed zone in the grass. The third one is after you go through the tunnel, and turn a sharp right; it is just about the same location as the first speed zone. (See Example) The last one is hidden in a break in the wall at the end of the straightway after the bridge. You go over the bridge and turn left. Hug the hall without hitting it and you will see the break. Mountain- My least favorite track, it is a horrible track complete with a tunnel, bouncing boulders, a water pool, and a tunnel. It has two speed zones. The first is located right after you exit the tunnel, its in the grass next to the fence on your right. The second is located after the pool of water, you will go under a bridge, and it is immediately to your right. Watch out for the bouncing rocks near the first speed zone. If you do not drive under the bridge and hit the wall, say goodbye to your lead or position. Track Info: Weather Sunny Road Type Off Road Track Level Normal My Personal Records Best Lap 00'21"63 (Racer 14) Best Time 01'12"87 (Racer 14) (Got your own race records you want posted in the reader's records section, send me an email at nelly260@hotmail.com.) Ruins- This is a fun track that goes under a waterfall, through some dinosaur bones, through a tunnel and across a lake. It has two speed zones. The first is located after you exit the waterfall and it is on the outside of the right turn you are about to make. The second is located after you go over two jumps. After you go over the second one, barrel roll to your right and the speed zone is right there. Track Info: Weather Nighttime Road type Off Road Track Level Easy (yes it is) My Personal Records Best Lap 00'31"78 (Racer 14) Best Time 01'47"98 (Racer 14) (Got your own race records you want posted in the reader's records section, send me an email at nelly260@hotmail.com.) Volcano- Another one of my favorites, it is one of those tracks where you can love it, or you can hate it. It starts outside a volcano, which you eventually enter. It has a lava pool with a path going across with no walls or guardrails, and then goes to a pool of water, with a bridge with no walls and then to a chasm with a bridge with no walls. It can get very frustrating if you keep falling of one of the bridges. It's hard when you restart ahead of another racer because if you start going over the bridge at a slow speed and they come barreling in at top speed, most likely you'll both end up in the drink. This level has two speed zones. The first one is after you climb a mini hill at the beginning, barrel roll to your right and there is a small path between a barrier and a rock. The speed zone is right in that path. The second speed zone is right after that part. You go across that empty space where the first speed zone is and then the second one is right next to the wall, like in the example for harbor. The third one is right after the second one. After the second speed zone, you can pick either to stay on that path and go off a jump or fall down into a valley Type thing and go through a cave and hit the speed zone. I usually go through the cave because of the speed zone. The fourth speed zone you shouldn't even worry about hitting because it's out of your way and will only add time, instead of subtracting it. The fourth speed zone is down in the valley, but there is no cave to exit into. You would have to climb back up the hill to the path to move on. Track Info: Weather Nighttime Road Type Off road Track Level Hard (not if you get used to it) My Personal Records Best Lap 00'41"12 (Racer 14) Best Time 02'16"13 (Racer 14) (Got your own race records you want posted in the reader's records section, send me an email at nelly260@hotmail.com.) Alpine- The first of the snow tracks, this one too simple. It involves a tunnel, a river, and three speed zones. The first one I would not even bother with, but for the purposes of this guide, I have to tell you where it is. After you start you turn left into an open area and you will eventually see a log cabin. If you go up the stairs and there it is, speed zone #1. It does not help your time so I do not bother with it. The second one is after you go through the tunnel, there is a sign pointing to the right. Ignore it and go left. A small path leads right to #2. The third one is right after speed zone 2. After getting #2, there is a corner and you blast right into. Right beside that wall is #3. It is like the example for harbor but opposite. The other wall is used this time instead. Track Info: Weather Snowy Road Type Icy Track Level Normal (This should be easy) My Personal Records Best Lap 00'18"23 (Racer 14) Best Time 00'58"38 (Racer 14) (Got your own race records you want posted in the reader's records section, send me an email at nelly260@hotmail.com.) Caves- I hate this track. It goes through two different sections of a cave, over a bridge and through a winding road with tall snow mounds on the sides. It has three speed zones. The first is located in the second section of the cave. You enter and turn right. It is located next to the wall like in the harbor example. The second speed zone is located two turns after the first one just like the example. The third one is located after the winding road. Right after the last turn, when you can see the road to your right, it is located like the example for harbor. Track Info: Weather Sunny Road Type Icy Track Level Normal My Personal Records Best Lap 00'29"35 (Racer 14) Best Time 01'35"83 (Racer 14) (Got your own race records you want posted in the reader's records section, send me an email at nelly260@hotmail.com.) Ice- you guessed it, another ice track. This is another one of my favorite tracks. It goes through a carved out ice room type thing, past a pirate ship and through an undersea tunnel. It has three speed zones. The first one is located near the beginning. After you take a left turn, there is an immediate right turn. The speed zone is located along the right wall after the right turn. The second speed zone is located after you go off a jump in the carved out ice room thing, you go down a path and immediately turn right. It is along the wall. The third speed zone is located after exiting the undersea tunnel. You go down the track a little ways until you turn right when there's just water in front of you. It is along the right wall before the start finish line. (unknown) =To get this you need to: ****************** ++++Strategies++++ ****************** +Class C+ This is the easiest class and the class you begin with. If your just starting off, I'd do this class as many times as it takes for you to get 1st in every race by at least 10 seconds. It is definitely possible in this class. You should get as many parts as possible so you have more to pick from as your set points go up. This is a gather parts class. ==Settings I would Use: =Racer Racers 4,5,11,14 (these are the best I think, but it does not matter) =Engine Stock 2 (until you get either a Accel.5 or TopEnd5) =Tire Street/Off Road/Aqua/Snow 1 (all you need is a level 1 tire, it saves set points) =Brake Brake 1/2/3 (I don't use my brakes that often, but these are fine, it saves set points) =Suspension Suspension 1/2/3 (3 is recommended, but no higher) =Armor None (if you use armor, you have to use a lower engine level and its not important) =Extra Any extra not using set points (doesn't matter) =Special None (at this class you can win hands down without using a special so why bother if you are good then you can use one that uses one set point at the most) +Class B+ You receive this class after you have completed class C by winning every race in third position or better. This class is not that much more difficult. Again, I would do this class until you can beat everybody by at least 10 seconds. It is still easy. In this class, try to learn the tracks and where all the shortcuts and speed zones are. It is a learning class. ==Settings I would Use: =Racer Racers 4,5,11,14 (it doesn't matter) =Engine Either TopEnd 8 or Accel. 8 (Stock 3 isn't a bad choice) =Tire Street/Off Road/Aqua/Snow 1 (levels 2/3 are not needed) =Brake Brake 1/2/3 (again, I don't use the brakes very much, and these three save set points) =Suspension Suspension 4/5/6 (7/8/9 are not needed yet) =Armor Bumper/Spoiler 1 (I wouldn't use this yet, but It is your choice) =Extra Any extra not using any set points =Special Turbo, Block (1 set point) Missile 1 (2 set points) (Depends on your other picks. these are the best options) +Class A+ This is the class won after completing class B and the first challenging one. You have to be smart and use your shortcuts/speed zones well. I would do this class until you have a few special items, all the level 3 tires, the level 9 suspension, missile 2, try to get a special engine, Bumper/Spoiler 3 and TopEnd/Accel. 9. This is a part collecting preparation for AA class. ==Settings I would Use: =Racer Racers 4,5,11,14 (it doesn't matter but Racer 14 seems to be quicker than the others) =Engine TopEnd/Accel. 9(Accel./TopEnd S if you have it) =Tire Street/Off Road/Aqua/Snow 3 (you need them) =Brake Brake 1,2,3 (again, not important) =Suspension Suspension 9 (you should have it by now) =Armor Bumper/Spoiler 2/3 (preferably level 2,saves set points) =Extra Any extra not using set points (not important) =Special Turbo, Block (1 set point) Missile 1 (2 set points) Missile 2 (3 set points) (Depends on your other picks, but I wouldn't recommend any other weapons) +Class AA+ This is the champion's class. You get it after completing class A. You have unlimited set points so I will give you the best options that are available to me (parts). This is the final class. You should get all the specials during this class. This is a racing class and an all-out battle. ==Settings I would Use: =Racer Racer 4,5,11,14 (the quickest of the quick, Racer 14) =Engine TopEnd SS (no competition, just get the quick start) =Tire Street/Off Road/Aqua/Snow 3 (you will lose without them) =Brake Brake 9 (doesn't matter, but higher the better) =Suspension Suspension 9 or S(whichever you have) =Armor Spoiler/Bumper 4/S(use the specials if you got em if you cant steer- spoiler; if you hate people bumping you-bumper) =Extra Any (doesn't matter) =Special Turbo,Block(Fun to see the comp run into these) Missile 2 (the best I have, but your choice) H Laser (Should be the best) ******************* ++++Other Stuff++++ ******************* Nothing Yet... **************************** ++++Question and Answers++++ **************************** Send them in... ******************** ++++Legal Junk++++ ****************** Copyright 2003 This guide may not be reproduced under any circumstances except for personal, private use.
