Star Piece Locations -= -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= ======================= Jr. Troopa's Playground ======================= 1. On the path going east to Goomba Village, you'll find one at the top of a high ledge. 2. In the area of this playground with the Heart Block, do a Spin Jump up and to the right of the stone block to uncover a Star Piece. ============== Goomba Village ============== 3. After you find the Dolly in Jr. Troopa's Playground, give it to Goombaria to get a Star Piece in return. 4. After you get the Super Boots, go back to Goomba Village and head west to the area where Goombaria found you in the beginning. Spin Jump there to get a Star Piece. 5. Deliver a Letter you find in Dry Dry Desert to Goompa with Parakarry as your partner to get a Star Piece. =============== Goomba Fortress =============== 6. Outside the fortress, hit the nearby tree with the Hammer to knock out a Star Piece. 7. After you cross the bridge to the east of Goomba Fortress, Spin Jump in the grassy area north of the path to find one. ========= Toad Town ========= 8. Hit the tree to the left of Merlon's house with the Hammer to knock a Star Piece out. 9. Deliver the Letter you find on Mt. Rugged to Merlon (Parakarry must be your current partner in order to deliver it). 10. Just to the left of the entrance to Forever Forest, Spin Jump on the ground in front of the guardhouse to unearth a Star Piece. 11. Give the Letter to Fice T. with Parakarry as your partner (the guard near the entrance to Forever Forest), and he'll reward you with a Star Piece. 12. Spin Jump in the grassy area to the south of the Dojo to reveal a Star Piece. 13. Go all the way south to the area with the train station. Instead of going left to the train, follow the path south of the tracks to the right. Spin Jump the ground to the east to uncover a Star Piece. 14. After you get Sushie, go into the grassy area to the south of the Dojo. Go onto the dock and swim across the pond, then grab the Star Piece at the other side. 15. In the area where you talk to the giant whale, go up to the nearby Save Block. Spin Jump on the ground near that to find a Star Piece. 16. Give the Letter you find in Flower Fields to Minh T. in the Flower Garden with Parakarry to get a Star Piece. 17. Deliver a Letter you find in Jade Jungle to Russ T. to get a Star Piece. 18. After you find the Mailbag in Shy Guy's Toy Box, return it to the Post Office to get a Star Piece. 19. When you find Russ T's Dictionary in Shy Guy's Toy Box, return it to him to get a Star Piece. ================= Toad Town Tunnels ================= 20. Find this on a ledge in one of the rooms you can access after obtaining the Super Hammer. ============================================ Shooting Star Summit/Path North of Toad Town ============================================ 21. At the split of the two paths leading to the summit or Merluvlee's House (to the right of the bridge), Spin Jump on the ground to find one. 22. When you enter the Shooting Star Summit, take the path to the left to find one more Star Piece. 23. Spin Jump on the ground to the right of Merluvlee's House to uncover a Star Piece. 24. When you enter the Shooting Star Summit area, go right and onto the first step. Spin Jump on it to get a Star Piece. 25. With Parakarry as your partner, deliver a Letter to Merlow on the second floor of Merluvlee's House to get a Star Piece. ============= Pleasant Path ============= 26. In the second area of this path to Koopa Village, there is a small path that branches to the south of the main path. Follow that path down and left to the edge, then use Kooper to reach the Star Piece on the island by pressing C-Down. 27. When you reach the intersection where you can either go south to Koopa Village or east to the fortress, continue east for 2 scenes. In the beginning of the second area (the area after the one with the bridge), hit the first tree you pass with a Hammer to drop a Star Piece. 28. On the high plateau above the path leading to Koopa Village. Spin Jump between three blue poles to find a Star Piece. 29. In the area east of the bridge above the entrance to Koopa Village, Spin Jump the ground to uncover a Star Piece. ============= Koopa Village ============= 30. After you knock the shell off that floating block, come back to the area afterward and a Star Piece will be in its place. 31. Spin Jump the ground to the left of the group of Bob-ombs to reveal a Star Piece. 32. With Parakarry as your partner, deliver a Letter you find in Dry Dry Desert to Mort T. (the mushroom guy running the Toad House) to get a Star Piece. ========== Mt. Rugged ========== 33. In the flatland area after the Save Block where the Monty Moles are, go right to the bottom of the slide in the background. Spin Jump at the bottom of it to find a Star Piece. 34. In the scene where you go up that steep hill, when you reach the top, take the left path. When you reach the second hole as you move left, walk south to land on a ledge with the Star Piece. 35. In the northwest section of Mt. Rugged (the section where you get the Damage Dodge Badge), go left and fly across the gap to the left of the trampoline with Parakarry, then take the Star Piece there. ============== Dry Dry Desert ============== 36. Deliver the Letter you find in Mt. Rugged to Kolorado at his campsite. 37. Give Kolorado the Artifact you find in Dry Dry Ruins in exchange for a Star Piece. 38. On the middle path going east and west through the desert, you'll come across the Nomadimouse. Give him a Letter to get a Star Piece. 39. In the exact middle area of the desert, which is one screen west of where you meet Nomadimouse, Spin Jump to the south of the stone structure to find a Star Piece. =============== Dry Dry Outpost =============== 40. When you get on the roof of the easternmost building in town, Spin Jump on the roof to get a Star Piece. ============= Dry Dry Ruins ============= 41. In the second room where you have to drain the sand, you'll reveal a Star Piece in the corner. ============= Boo's Mansion ============= 42. In the room where you find the Super Boots, Spin Jump the floor near the Boo in the corner to make a Star Piece pop out. 43. In the room with the empty chest and the chandelier that almost crushes you, go down the stairs and Spin Jump the floor in front of the clock to reveal a Star Piece. 44. In the first room of the mansion, go right and Spin Jump on the middle of the rug to make one come out. 45. In the room where you found the Record, Spin Jump on the rug to make yet another Star Piece appear. 46. When you land atop the large bookcase after falling from the room above, jump down and left onto a stack of crates. Spin Jump them both to find a Star Piece. 47. Deliver a Letter you find in Jade Jungle to Igor the shopkeeper with Parakarry as your partner to get a Star Piece in return. =========== Gusty Gulch =========== 48. In the scene where you hit three blocks to get 11 Coins and a Super Shroom, walk behind the rock in the background to find the Star Piece. 49. Right after you go east through the gae from Boo's Mansion, Spin Jump the ground to find a Star Piece. ===================== Tubba Blubba's Castle ===================== 50. When you're on the balcony above the room with the large table, drop down from above onto the table and collect the Star Piece sitting on it. 51. In the long hallway to the east of the room with the large table, enter the first room to the left. Get onto the table and take the Star Piece there. ================= Shy Guy's Toy Box ================= 52. To the right of where you enter this place, Spin Jump the floor in front of the blue mushroom guy to uncover a Star Piece. 53. In the long room to the right of the entrance, you'll find a Star Piece behind a yellow block just past the first wall. 54. In the same room as the previous one, when you get to the top of the middle building, use Parakarry to fly to the left one, where you'll find another Star Piece. 55. Spin Jump on the ground in front of the Pink Station to find a Star Piece. 56. Same as the previous Star Piece, but do the Spin Jump in front of the Green Station this time. 57. In the room with the slot machine, go right and jump on the large blocks that move up and down. Get to the corner of this area and onto the low green block. Ride it to its lowest point, then go right into a hidden room with Coins and a Star Piece. 58. Go to the Red Station and Spin Jump the ground near the front of it to reveal a Star Piece. ===================== Lavalava Island Beach ===================== 59. In the area with the Jungle Fuzzies, hit the rightmost palm tree in the background with your Hammer to make a Star Piece fall out. =============== Yoshi's Village =============== 60. Spin Jump in front of the statue in middle of the village to uncover a Star Piece. =========== Jade Jungle =========== 61. In the area where you meet Sushie, use her to swim around to an island in the upper-right corner of the area to find a Star Piece. 62. In the area where you find the blue Yoshi, use Sushie and swim under the bridge to find it. 63. In the area where you fight the Magikoopa and Putrid Piranhas, Spin Jump near the middle of the area to reveal a Star Piece. ============ Mt. Lavalava ============ 64. In the room where you fall from the sliding rope to reach a Super Block, Spin Jump to the right of that ledge to find a Star Piece. 65. To the left of the Heart Block, Spin Jump the floor to find a Star Piece. ============= Flower Fields ============= 66. In the area where you get the Magical Bean from Petunia, Spin Jump to the left of Petunia to uncover a Star Piece. 67. Along the southwest path, Spin Jump in front of the tree that holds Yellow Berries to get another Star Piece. 68. Next to the tree you get Blue Berries from, walk in the flowers to the right to find one. 69. On the right side of the area with the large blue tree in the middle, Spin Jump on the ground to uncover a Star Piece. 70. This one's in the area where the Bubble Plant encases you in a bubble to fly over the spiked vines. At the other side of that gap, take the upper path up and to the east to find the Star Piece in plain view. 71. This next one is found in the area with the multi-colored platform puzzle. On the right ledge, use the trampoline to get to the high ledge with the Super Block. Instead, go right and Spin Jump at the right side to get a Star Piece. =========== Shiver City =========== 72. Do a Tornado Jump in the snow to the right of the Mayor's House to get a Star Piece. 73. Deliver a Letter you find in Shiver Snowfield to Mayor Penguin with Parakarry as your partner to get a Star Piece. ================ Shiver Snowfield ================ 74. In the area with all the snowmen lined up, Tornado Jump in the south section of that scene to uncover a Star Piece. =============== Shiver Mountain =============== 75. To the west of the entrance to Crystal Palace, drop off the cliff in front of the Save Block and you'll land on a ledge with a Star Piece on it. ============== Crystal Palace ============== 76. When you get to the flip side of the mirror, head all the way left and outside of the palace. Continue like you're gonna go to Shiver Mountain, but there's a hidden cave on the flip side with a Star Piece instead of the exit to the mountain. 77. In the room with the small rhino statue you must push, Tornado Jump the floor in the left side of the room (under the hidden block with the Jammin' Jelly) to uncover a Star Piece. 78. In the room with the larger rhino statue, Tornado Jump the floor in the left side of that room (under the hidden block containing Maple Syrup) to get another Star Piece. =================== Koopa Koot's Favors =================== 79-93. Get these by completing Koot's favors (Koot is found in Koopa Village) through the course of the game. See the Koot Favors FAQ on GameFAQs for more details. ========== Rip Cheato ========== 94-96.
